Fantastic experience: Our beautiful boy Otto had to sadly be put to sleep on Friday and I will never forget the compassion the staff showed and the care they gave. They acted super fast and saw us straight away. They really did go above and beyond and I’ll be forever grateful for that. Thank you! ❤️

Negative experience: Absolutely appalled with the behaviour from this vet, I took my dog in yesterday morning and they treated him with an inflamed liver and pancreatitis and released him at 5pm yesterday and when we picked him up he was howling in pain in the surgery waiting room and we asked the receptionist why he’s doing this and all she was bothered about was getting the payment for the treatment, eventually she went to ask the vet and she said it’ll be the drugs making him do that so we took him home and we knew something wasn’t right as he was constantly howling in discomfort and pain so we took him to an emergency night time vets and they were in disbelief of why he was discharged and he has to be kept in for 24 hours in critical care. Absolutely fuming with this vet surgery. This was a few years ago and it somehow got removed so I just reposted it

Fantastic experience: When my cat, fudge became poorly he required an overnight stay. The thought of him being away in a strange place when he already wasn't feeling feel made me feel uneasy and sad. I got an update from Ashleigh at 9pm and then again in the morning as soon as she got in. I got sent a beautiful video of Jess fussing over fudge whilst he sat in her lap during the night. I am forever grateful at how my boy is being cared for by everyone at The Pet Nottingham

Fantastic experience: A wonderful vet, been going to them for years now. Our Poppy has been skittish as of recent, and we got given some samples of wipes as well as buying a diffuser. Safe to say she loves it! She doesn't seem too interested in the video but earlier, she was headbutting me like crazy and following me around. So happy our babs seems to like them.

Fantastic experience: This month I had to make the heartbreaking decision to have our buddy PTS, he was diagnosed at the age of 12 with diabetes and has managed to deal with going blind, deaf and arthritis. At 15 years old my baby became tired. We went to the pet vet and had a chat with Brooke and Amber who was absolutely amazing, they both understood and discussed everything. They helped us with what we wanted and was very consoling. A couple of hours later buddy was PTS by Laura and made it has peaceful as she could, what was comforting wad laura has looked after buddy throughout most of his diabetes and it wasn't a stranger at the end. Fantastic experience: We signed up our then 3 month old cockapoo to the Pet Vet in June 2025. We have received consistently exceptional service, always dealt with extremely friendly staff who are always very helpful and offer great advice; we absolutely love the service we receive. Our dog loves going in and gets excited when he knows we’re there, because they take that good care of him. The pet plan they provide is extremely cost effective and great value for money. I couldn’t ask for more from a vet.

Fantastic experience: An appointment was fixed quickly. Staff were friendly and professional. The vet was thorough and prescribed appropriate medication. Lola has now fully recovered from her infected rat/smake bite.

Fantastic experience: Recently had to take my dog for an eye surgery here as my normal vets couldn't do the procedure he needed, found the whole experience extremely easy from start to finish, the I felt the staff genuinely care for your pet's needs and the standard of care is extremely high, post operation information was excellent on caring for him at home , also financially they were significantly cheaper than other quotes I had received, keep up the good work , especially Hilal who got my boys eye fixed

Fantastic experience: Today I had the most amazing experience with The pet vet Bilborough. I brought my very nervous nala to have her teeth done and they went above and beyond to accommodate her, allowed me to sit with her pre and post op to keep her calm and relaxed, constantly had the team checking on us. the vets and nurses were so good with her, getting on her level and letting her take her time to come to them and did not rush her. I could not of asked for a better experience. every single member of staff i interacted with was so lovely and friendly and they seemed genuinely supportive of nala and wanted the same care and experience for her that I as her owner would want. I came here due to the dental offer but will definitely be moving here and highly recommend. i’ve been to a few vets now and have never found they understand nervous dogs or want the genuine best thing for the animal but these guys definitely do treat them as their own. thank you so much guys ❤️

Positive experience: We were still recieving reminders for our dogs innoculations 3 years after we told you he had died, we also brought a heavily preg gpig in to you, she was in labour and we told you she needed oxytocin to help get the babies out, we brought her on at 9am and none was given even at 3pm, we were told you pulled the babies out, one survived, 3 died! She was sent home bleeding heavily and died the next day. And yes i do know what im talking about as ive run a gpig rescue for the past 20 years! A friend of ours brought her gpig with the poos but you checked the teeth? the piggy died later that day

Our elderly cat had surgery and I was kept up to day throughout the day on her progress. The receptionists were extremely organised and the young vets explained everything thoroughly I felt they truly cared about our pet. Would highly recommend them as they have nice clean surgery's, easy appointments and we were not made to wait long to be seen. Very reasonable pricing structure too. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I honestly don’t even know where to begin, the care, compassion, and professionalism we received when our beloved Maisy needed an emergency C-section was beyond anything I’ve ever experienced. From the very first moment we walked through the door, every single member of staff treated us and Maisy, as if we were part of their own family. The customer service was absolutely outstanding! Warm, reassuring, and full of genuine empathy. The veterinary team was absolutely brilliant! calm under pressure, confident, and utterly dedicated to giving Maisy and her puppies the best possible chance. They didn’t just save our girl; they brought TEN beautiful, healthy puppies safely into the world! The post-operative care was phenomenal. The follow-up, the updates, the attention to detail. I have never seen such devotion and kindness from a veterinary team. They truly go above and beyond in every possible way. This is the first time in my life I’ve ever felt complete trust in a veterinary practice, and I can honestly say I’ll never go anywhere else. They have my absolute confidence and eternal gratitude. Fantastic experience: I'd like to thank Josh and the team for looking after our beautiful girl Luna today. Sadly Luna passed away after a short illness. The dignity and respect shown by Josh and the team was very much appreciated. Luna's passing was a shock to us all but she was surrounded by a dedicated team of people. Thank you Josh.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had my Pets registered with The vet for about 8 years. Last year, I added to my fur family and got a puppy. I received an offer in conjunction with Pets at home for another local practice where I got the health plan heavily discounted so I registered my new dog with them. I didn’t even stay with them for the full year. I have always received excellent care from The Vet. Friendly welcoming staff on reception, lovely clean waiting areas and knowledgeable genuine vets. When you go somewhere else, you realise how good The Vet Bilborough is and to me, this is priceless. I have now registered my other dog with The Vet and will continue with them. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I recently took my dog Queen to this clinic for dental treatment, and overall, I’m very happy with the experience. She had 7 teeth removed, and everything went smoothly during the procedure. Queen recovered well and is now feeling much better. There were a few small misunderstandings during our first visit, but the team was kind and professional throughout the whole process. I appreciate their care and the way they looked after Queen. Thank you!

Negative experience: After booking my cats appointment for the next day with the nurse, just for a simple check up, I received a call 1 hour before the appointment from Lucy, with very little customer service skills, to let me know that my appointment was moved to the vet , and double the price, because they don't have the house nurses available and the only thing nurse would do is to refer my cat to the vet. Amber the manager showed no manners over the phone and clearly only interested in charging more without knowing nothing about my cat. Rude, unprofessional and only concerned in making a few more pounds. Not recommended at all.

Fantastic experience: We had to have 2 veterinary nurse,s to come to our home to vaccinate our kittens because we was unable to catch them. They was absolutely amazing how professional they was and how amazing they was. I can't praise them enough. Well done and thank you to both of you. I highly recommend pet vet . Fantastic experience: The vets are amazing and very attentive. My fur baby was suffering from high fever and infection. Now, Cookie looks so much more healthy and back to his naughty self. They took really good care of him. Being new to this country, I was very worried about how I was going to take care of my babies if they fall sick. Now, I can say for sure that they are in the good hands of Pet Vets.

Negative experience: If I could place zero stars then I would please be warned as I was reassured every time when bringing my cat for nail clips and his vaccinations that we were covered under the Pet Plan which was taken out and is automatically renewed or so I was led to believe. The reception checked on every visit on the computer that my pet was covered by Pet Plan. Now not only myself but other trusting customers are now facing very hefty bills because transpire due to fault on The Vets part that the wrong information was given as transpires no longer on the PetPlan and had in fact expired had not automatically renewed as led to believe. Feel that my concerns have not been listened to and now experiencing an unprofessional rude approach by the management. even trying to say it was done intentionaly on my part when it was admitted by the management that this was due to error which has also affected other unsuspecting customers too.

Fantastic experience: We became regulars at The Pet Vet Nottingham with our poorly puppy and the service we received at every visit was definitely worth a 5 star review... The vets were so careful, thorough, caring and understanding while helping Dre and dealing with our extensive list of questions! All members of staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Our main vet Laura was incredible. Ashley, Rhiannon, Hannah, Fiona, Amber, Josh, Javier, Courtney, Lucy and Imogen were also amazing! Thank you so much; our little boy is now inseparable from his big brother and we couldn't be more grateful to you all for saving our little pup!

Negative experience: The worst possible experience with a veterinarian. I went in with my dog for a blood test. During the procedure, the vet inserted the needle into my dog’s leg twice – and both times missed the vein. Instead of removing the needle and trying somewhere else, she moved it around inside the tissue each time, causing my dog significant pain – he started whimpering and struggling. After the second failed attempt, she suggested scheduling another visit and giving the dog a sedative to make it easier to draw blood. I asked if there were any other options – only after my insistence did she admit that blood could be drawn from the neck vein. I agreed, and this time the blood was taken quickly, easily, and without causing the dog any pain. The blood test results were supposed to be ready the same day – but we didn’t receive any information. The next day, we emailed them, and their response was that they were very busy and would get back to us later. We ended up waiting two full days for the results. It was an absolute joke.

Fantastic experience: Excellent consultation with Laura (vet), for our goldendoodle. Very transparent with costs & explained the at home treatment a couple of times to ensure we understood what needed to be done. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND !

Fantastic experience: This establishment (sorry struggled to spell the full word for vet ) are incredible!!! Our dog Chip, is very anxious and reactive and every single vet, nurse or receptionist that chip has met have been calm and understanding, one vet makes me laugh every time we go because he’ll ask “he won’t try to kill me today will he?” The surgery hours are suitable for our needs and pricing is reasonable. The extra little touches they have here are so sweet and so much care has gone into it. Thank you guys for restoring our faith in the pet care system!! *pic of chip for attention!*

Fantastic experience: Used this vet for so many years! Wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else. Girls on reception are amazing, friendly kind, welcoming, helpful. Ive dealt with 3 vets all equally as helpful, patient and clearly have my dogs best interest first.

Fantastic experience: The team at The Pet Vet are truly brilliant. They are extremely compassionate, understanding and trustworthy. We have had to make several visits recently and they have been so accommodating and have always taken their time to really listen to our concerns and treat each animal in their care as an individual. You can tell that the team are invested in your pet and want the best for them. Our dog underwent emergency surgery and the team checked in with us daily, even over a weekend and bank holiday - I cannot say that I’ve ever experienced this level of care from any other practice. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I have been with the Pet Vet (previously The Vet) for around 9 years and I have a lot of pets (now all cats). There has been a lot of change over the years but I can honestly say it is consistent in its delivery of customer focused care. All of the vets are exceptional and they consistently give great care and often go above and beyond what I would expect to give excellent service. The customer care team are all lovely, supportive and care about the animals. The hours are great open til 9pm Mon-Thurs, til 8pm on a Friday, 5pm on Saturday and 1pm on a Sunday - this is far better than most. They aren't as cheap as they once was but no vet is these days so all things considered they are worth it.

Fantastic experience: Our Goldendoodle had her spay operation two weeks ago. The surgery went great and shes recovered well with regular checks at the pet vet. Reassuring advice and care.

Negative experience: This vet as gone down hill since it changed its name and the vets, iv been using this practise for many years and lost a pet there some years ago, the staff and vets back then were lovely and cared about your pet, I have recently lost my beloved dog the way she was treated towards the end of her life from the uncaring vets was outrageous and disgusting my dog was so ill she was dieing and all they did was try and spend your money on something that didn't work the the time be and the time b4 that, this practise needs to get rid of the school leavers trying to be vets , if I get another dog I will never ever use this useless vets again , please anybody who users this vets just be carful because they will use your emotions to get more money out of you , very unhappy customer

Fantastic experience: I got a call that every pet owner dreads; my cat Pumpkin unfortunately was involved in an accident and did not make it, and a kind member of public brought him in to the Pet Vet for identification. Thank you to the Pet Vet team for dealing with a sad situation with such empathy, kindness and compassion. Rest in peace Pumpkin.

Fantastic experience: Cannot recommend these vets enough. I sadly had to have my rabbit put to sleep, but the vet we seen was very kind, patient and let us have all the time we needed to properly say goodbye. All the rest of the staff too was lovely and very comforting. We was allowed to wait in a separate room too which really helped being able to spend them last few moments with him. We was also really touched by the sympathy card we received, the seeds to sow, and my boys little nose print thank you for being so comforting, it meant alot.

Negative experience: We have had a number of animals cared for by The Vet for 10 years and always felt it was a place where their care & welfare was placed before profits. Sadly, this seems no longer the case & yesterday we registered elsewhere. The ethos at Pet Vet seemed different very quickly but the final straw came when after treatment, it was recommended that my dog would benefit from physiotherapy. After speaking to a vetinarian physio, we took her referral letter (something required by law) to the surgery & learnt that in addition to the consultation fee a referral fee of £60.82 would be required. We were absolutely disgusted, feeling that Pet Vet had us over a barrel - we knew Buddy needed the treatment but could only access it by paying a fee of unnecessary exorbitance. To be honest, it felt like little more than a shakedown and that our care for our pet was being abused for financial gain. Our physio was equally shocked, never having encountered a vet who charges for this before in her 10 years as a physio. To test this, I contacted a number of vets & all expressed surprise & stated that the service would be part of the consultation fee. So, when I received the "how did we do" email, I voiced our unhappiness, expecting to at least receive a courtesy reply. Again, we were disappointed. I've been appalled by our experience at Pet Vet & by our inability to get any meaningful dialogue with the management. As a result, I am sadly now considering making a formal complaint about the professional conduct of Pet Vet with the RSVS.

Fantastic experience: Friendly, helpful staff in a bright, welcoming practice. The new floor design means the lovely reception area has gone and now someone just stands to welcome you. It feels a little odd. We have received excellent care with a variety of pets. The care we received when our little dog had to be put to sleep was particularly good. We both felt cared for too and was allowed to say goodbye without being rushed.

Negative experience: If I could put zero stars I would. VERY RUDE! Didn’t even check my dog & suggested I go PDSA where it’s donation yet I have money. Told me £800 without even looking at my dog. I Do not recommend these vets at all. It was extremely distressing. Also they got me there as an emergency, my dog was vomiting blood yet left me in the waiting area for around an hour. AVOID!

Fantastic experience: I am so relieved to have found The Pet Vet to help me with my elderly German Shepherd. Zoe was very knowledgeable, kind, practical and above all interested in my dog and spent lots of time examining her and laying out the options for investigation and treatment. All the staff were welcoming to people and dogs and the price is manageable for a part-time cleaner. Hoorah I can feel my desperate stress seeping away cos no matter what happens, I know that I've got the best possible care for my best mate

The vet was calm and gentle with her and she actually stayed in my arms and let him give her the injection. She's not a cat for cuddles normally. We'll be going back in a few weeks for her booster injection so watch out Pet Vets, Sophie is coming back

Fantastic experience: I could not sing the praises of the Nottingham Pet Vet anymore than I do. One of my buns, Winnifred, has had ongoing abscess issues since December 2024. The whole team has been amazing with her care, seeing Rhiannon and Imogen being so lovely when we arrive just puts me at ease, and they've somehow kept me laughing through it all. She has had 3 surgeries in the last 2 months and the team they have taken such amazing care of her. Josh and Courtney have been heroes they really have. Josh has kept me informed through everything and has involved me in her care as much as possible which I appreciate so much as someone with MH issues. He has done everything in his power to slowly get her out of this situation, and he's never given up on her. Josh organised with multiple other sites her most recent surgery and just took all of the stress of planning away from me. Courtney is a superstar and I love her loads! Her love and passion for animals, and particularly Winnie is heartwarming. She even attended her last procedure with her to another site of the company, and ensured her safety. Whilst the most recent surgery was stress provoking, knowing she was there with Courtney put my mind at ease as I knew the staff would do whatever it takes. You can really see that all of the staff love all of the animals as if they were their own which is so pure. The way that they all are is such a testament to the company itself, and how they really prioritise staff with such levels of compassion. Whilst she isn't 100% better yet, we are nearly out of the woods, and I owe it all to them so thank you.

Fantastic experience: Kane loves going to the vets he's always made to feel welcome with a fuss and vet quite happily answered all my questions some being a bit daft got his kennel cough vaccine and a few nails clipped

Fantastic experience: Could not recommend enough. The best service from the receptionists to the vets. Unfortunately we lost one of our beloved dogs recently and the staff went above and beyond to ensure she was happy and comfortable to pass on to the rainbow bridge, not only that but the care and support we received from them was second to none. Having really poor experiences from vets previously it’s truly heartwarming to attend a vets that actually care for the pet and owner too. Will be forever grateful.

Fantastic experience: If I could give you 10 stars I would. My dog was diagnosed with diabetes in October. Fiona the nurse was very helpful showing us how to inject him. Josh the vet has been fantastic as we have to take him every two weeks to have his monitor changed, he keeps us informed if we need to make any changes. Barney is now doing better than he was, all the staff have been amazing and I can not thank them enough. I would definitely recommend these vets to anyone. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: As always, wonderful service from all staff. My cat, Suzuki is never exactly overjoyed at being in her carrier but being in a dedicated cat area helps & she only protested a little.
