Fantastic experience: What a bonus! 2 very caring Avian vets in 1 practice. With 5 in my flock and a recent house move, I reluctantly had to leave Chine House and register with another practice. Very pleased with my recent visit & I think my birds have landed quite nicely on their feet. Arabella and Klara were seen by recently qualified George who I feel in the coming years will be one of the top avian practitioners around.

Fantastic experience: Oreo has been seeing George for the last few months, initially thought cancer but thankfully its not, she has ibd, everytime we've been hes been so good with her, unfortunately its still not under control so even though she has steroids shes still suffering, hopefully George will come up with a plan. Fantastic experience: This surgery is exceptional. I like a vet who gets down to a dogs eye line to say hello! Jonathan is brilliant at this ,putting animal and owner at ease. He is a great example to all team members . Reception organise me, payments, care plans, meds and insurance claims carefully, swiftly ,without delay.The whole team get to know your family pet and remember them, which is lovely. They offer up suggestions, sign posting you when needed and manage time and appointments superbly. Waiting area is well arranged and always beautifully clean.The whole experience is quite painless!!

Fantastic experience: The team here are great, especially John! After being told by multiple local vets my rabbit would need palliative care because I couldn’t afford a £2000 Ct scan of his eye before they would consider surgery. I contacted vets for pets and John saw him and said he could fix it the next day, the price of the full surgery and recovery was less than the CT scan and covered in my insurance, my rabbit is now abscess free and completely recovered, I can’t thank them enough for saving his life!

Negative experience: I am absolutely heartbroken and furious after our experience with Vets for Pets. We took our little chihuahua, Malibu, to be checked as she was clearly unwell — shivering, struggling to breathe, not eating, and very lethargic. The vet examined her briefly but did not check her temperature or do any further tests. We were told that the issue was with her teeth and that she would need extractions, which would supposedly solve the problem. We were charged £80 for the appointment and pain medication and told to come back on Tuesday for dental work costing £1,000. Over the weekend, Malibu’s condition rapidly worsened. We rushed her to the emergency vets, where they immediately recognised that her symptoms were not related to her teeth at all. After tests, they discovered she had a serious heart problem and that her lungs were full of fluid. She had to be kept in an oxygen tank to help her breathe. Despite their best efforts and medication, the damage was already too severe, and on Tuesday, we had to make the heartbreaking decision to let her go. We are utterly devastated. Malibu was part of our family, and we can’t help but feel that Vets for Pets’ lack of proper care and misdiagnosis cost her the chance she might have had. It feels as though they were more focused on charging for unnecessary procedures than on truly investigating what was wrong. I wouldn’t wish this pain on anyone. Please, if your pet is showing serious symptoms, seek a second opinion — don’t assume they will get the thorough care they deserve here. Rest in peace, our sweet girl Malibu. You deserved better.

Negative experience: After using them for over 10 years I won'tbe using them anymore. Total lack of empathy, every time you go it's all different staff, receptionist lack of experience shows telling me I can't use a vac4life cause they don't do them anymore, does seem more profit focused now

Fantastic experience: Excellent vets, John is most probably the best chinchilla vet in the country. He goes above and beyond. Reception staff allways polite and helpful. Nothing is to much for vet practice. One of the reasons we moved 150 miles was to be closer to the vets. Now we also have 2 dogs we know they are in great hands if ever needed like our chinchillas.

Negative experience: All vets for pets want is your money they aren’t bothered about your animal they just want your money. Vets for Pets gave my dying dog a booster and told me he was healthy the next day I had to take my dog back to the vets to be put to sleep he had throat cancer which the vet didn’t spot it was a rock hard mass like a cricket ball and the vet didn’t spot it and gave my dog a booster and told me he was healthy this veterinary practice should be closed down they aren’t bothered about your animal all they care about is ripping you off it’s just the money this veterinary practice is after they don’t care about your animal Be Warned if you love your animal you shouldn’t take your pet to Vets For Pets !!

Fantastic experience: It's taken me a while to get to writing this because it still makes me feel sad to think of it to be honest, but this practice is wonderful. Before Christmas, we were referred with Cookie to Jonathan. Although it didn't work out, I can honestly say that I know Jonathan did everything possible for her. Beyond that, I was always given the impression that Jonathan had the warmest, deepest caring attitude to not only my pet, but to each pet that I observed going in and out during my visits, which I think is all anybody could ask for. The staff at the front of the practice were always friendly and helpful too. So although it didn't work out for us, I could not have expected, nor asked for any more from this practice. I can fully recommend it. Picture included of Cookie before her illness.

Fantastic experience: I travelled out of my way to this vets specifically to see an exotic vet. Jonothan was great, he put my mind at rest that I was making the best decision for my tortoise and explained everything thoroughly. The fees were in line with non exotic pets which I thought was really good and the ladies on the desk were lovely too. Thank you all for your services xxx

Fantastic experience: I got such a huge admiration for Dr Jonathan. He is so wonderful, he knows his job very well that I got so much trust in his opinion and diagnose. I know that my dogs are always in best hands when seeing Dr Jonathan, hence we travel 45 min each way to see him and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Such a blessing to have a vet who genuinely loves and cares for animals.

Negative experience: I recently had the misfortune of having to try to book an appointment at vets4pets (Eastwood) and found it to be the most disappointing, difficult and frustrating experience I have encountered in a number of years. After several attempts & joining a queue and holding on for 15+ minutes each time I would advance to position number one before being abruptly cut off each time, on my fourth attempt of making contact and holding on the phone again for 15+ minutes I was eventually answered by a representative who began by adding insult to my injury and said “do you mind if I put you on hold for a minute” after all this you may ask, did I get an appointment… NO there was none available till the following day. will I ever recommend or use the service again… NO Based on my personal experience I would strongly advise anyone against opting for any type of telephone appointment with this service provider unless you enjoy unproductive and disappointing experiences.

Fantastic experience: I would like to thank Jonathan and all receptionist for their kindness and support in dealing with our African grey parrot, nothing was to much trouble and I was kept informed all the time. Jonathan is such a caring avian vet and I would definitely recommend him, worth travelling from Burton- on- Trent to see him.

Fantastic experience: Jonathan is THE man to see for reptiles. But the practice is excellent for all pets. They are caring and supportive for owners as well as giving excellent treatment to your furry, scaly and feathery family members.

Fantastic experience: We unfortunately had to have our English springer put to rest after years of cancer treatments, a brain rumour and seizures. Jon was amazing as always, as he looked after our boy during his last operation, and took good care of him and us in his final days. All the the staff was very helpful and very professional and calming in what was a very hard day for us. I can not thank them enough. I thank you for taking such care with Mossy and the treatment he received from yourselfs right up to his final moments.

Fantastic experience: We cannot rate this practice enough!! They looked after our Hattie as if she was their own ✨️ unlike some vets I've experienced over the years the guys at V4P Eastwood put the animal first before the price tag. The practice is the only one that really deal with exotic animals in the nottingham area and I can tell you that it's well worth the drive! We can't thank you enough for looking after our girl and putting our minds at rest on many occasions. Thank you so much to Jonathan and all the team xxx

Fantastic experience: After taking my chameleon to a different vets and be robbed in broad daylight and almost scammed out of £800, one of our friends recommended Jonathan at vets for pets as he has years of experience with reptiles, I could not recommend him more to anyone with a reptile he was amazing and very quickly diagnosed and treated my little guy. Overall the entire atmosphere of the vets was great, staff were really friendly and helpful which was surprising to me as I’ve had a bad experience with a different vets for pets which shows it’s not the chain but the staff that work there. Big thank you to Jonathan and all the staff that helped!

Fantastic experience: I had to take Taco the musk turtle here as they are the only vets with an exotic vet. He was wonderful with Taco, and clearly knew what he was doing, such a lovely man. The receptionists were lovely, super helpful and seemed really happy in their jobs. Not only the warmest welcome we had, I originally emailed for some advise and was called within 15 minutes of that email, can't stress enough how amazing that it! Thank you for everything.

Fantastic experience: I spent most of the week prior to the appointment bringing my dog in to desensitise him to the vets. The receptionists were amazing and patient with him and saw huge progress. On the day of the appointment the vet was really engaged with him and built trust quickly with him. It was an experience I was dreading and it was so easy. They kept me informed and did an amazing job. Really happy

Fantastic experience: took our beloved dog 10/1 , as he was not himself , we knew he was not well, Jonathan the vet was so kind and took bloods and gave a scan the same night , which meant we had to make the right decsion for him. everyone was so caring and kind , which made an awful decision easier to deal with , Thank you. can highly recommend this practice and staff

Fantastic experience: Always trust their advice when it comes to my exotic pets. Always the first point of call for these visits. They have excellent knowledge of multiple types of exotics as well as cats/dogs/rabbits etc. Staff are lovely and take great interest in the animals who visit. Always polite and take the time to help you understand what may be the issue with your pet. Genuinely lovely and understanding. If there's ever a point where they are uncertain, they do their absolute best to give you and your pets the best results possible. Wouldn't go anywhere else with mine.

Fantastic experience: Lovely and caring staff. Jon is very caring and honest. Just suffered the pain of having my 13 year old cat pts, but he was treated with dignity and respect and I wasn't fobbed off by being told he needed to be admitted for tests. Thank you for your honesty and help with putting an end to his suffering.

You can really tell the whole team are compassionate and invested in their client’s care. The team go above and beyond to make sure pet parents are reassured and have all of the information they need to make the right decisions for their pets. Fantastic experience: The reception staff were lovely. I had to wait a little but not too long. All veterinary staff explained everything to me clearly and my guinea pigs surgical procedure was very reasonably priced. Is a bit of a drive for me but will definitely consider bringing my other pets here too!

Fantastic experience: Managed to obtain an appointment quickly. Jonathan is interested and very helpful. I also appreciate being able go into the consultation room with my pet, and he's very sweet with helping on steps for follow on care. The reception staff are also really interested and lovely!

Fantastic experience: Vets are always thorough and caring. Usually get in either on the day or day after. Very happy with service and treatment & care of our 4 rescue rabbits. Fantastic experience: Great service from Jonathan. Looked after George (the Red Setter) brilliantly.

Negative experience: Went for an emergency appointment with our beloved elderly cat George. Was kept waiting outside in the freezing cold for more than 40min past the appointment time. Also wasn't allowed inside with him as part of the consultation. Was then told he was terminal due to kidney failure and best thing was to have him put to sleep. Devastated. Still wasn't permitted to see him before they spent another traumatic 30min putting a catheter in. I can only imagine the horror of them doing that knowing George. Was only allowed in at that point just before he was put to sleep. Then why not before? He was clearly messed about and distressed as well as gravely ill. Very unsatisfactory, traumatic for George and devastating for us. I'm afraid all of the government nonsense and overreaction to C19 by Vets4Pets is ridiculous and these young woke people making these unfortunate and devastating decisions need to get over themselves and open their eyes to reality rather than be taken in by the government hype. We can freely go shopping in any number of supermarkets. Their conduct on the premise of this virus is unreasonable and unacceptable. Owners must be permitted to attend consultations with their animals.

Fantastic experience: I telephoned on a Saturday morning and was able to get an appointment for later that afternoon. It was explained on the telephone that as it was during normal opening hours it was not classed as an emergency visit so would cost standard rates. The reception staff were friendly, as always, and we were seen reasonably close to our appointment time. The vet was very knowledgeable and seemed generally interested in our cat. She explained a range of options we could take to ensure the best diagnosis and described the process and prices of each. We chose to have a full blood screening which to my surprise was conducted in house. Following a twenty minute wait for the results the best course of action was discussed and agreed between the vet and ourselves. I am reasonably happy with the price we paid and very happy we could get a definitive diagnosis during our visit due to the in house testing facilities. I have previously visited this vet with two of my reptiles and have been happy with the service and knowledge of their reptile specialist. On this visit I needed to register a number of new reptiles that I had not registered previously, seven new ones in total. The reception staff were extremely patient in getting them all registered. This is one of the only vets local to me that has a dedicated reptile specialist that is highly recommended throughout he reptile community.

Fantastic experience: John is such a good vet and he really care for his pets patient. Unfortunately our lovely Amazon, Dino passed away but we know he did everything he could for him.
