This is twice We have had to do this with Buckley, over many years of taking our animals to them for care. They made a very difficult day for us, less stressful. Simply wonderful staff and care.

Negative experience: DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE. I had an absolutely appalling experience with this practice due to their shocking lack of communication and incompetent administration. I was paying £14 every single month for a pet plan via direct debit, yet I later received a letter claiming I suddenly “owe” £136 for treatment that was carried out while the pet plan was active and being paid for. Despite taking my money every month, they later cancelled the pet plan due to a so-called “missed appointment” and then attempted to retrospectively charge me for treatment that was already covered. That is not how contracts work, and it is certainly not how you treat clients. This entire situation appears to be the result of their own internal failures, yet instead of taking responsibility, they’ve tried to pass the cost onto me. I have full proof of payment, but that didn’t stop them from trying their luck anyway. If you value transparency, basic competence, and not being chased for money you don’t owe, take your pet elsewhere. I would never trust this practice again, and I strongly advise others to think twice before signing up to any kind of “plan” with them.

Fantastic experience: Our cat, Pepsi, has hyperthyroidism, so it means regular visits to the vets. I feel reassured going to this practice, the staff are really friendly. The vet that we see is Mr Joao Alves. He always greets you with a big smile. He explains clearly Pepsi's treatment and rings us with the blood results as soon as he has them so we can titrate her meds accordingly. Great service, many thanks

Fantastic experience: The vets were held up by the weather and were delayed. Lynne the receptionist kept us fully informed and was very apologetic. Carrie the vet had travelled from Cambridge. What a fantastic person. She was great with my dog, knowledgeable and personable. Hucknall Medivet has been deprived of vets for too long.

Fantastic experience: Our first visit to this practice and we highly recommend it. The vet was informative, confident and was great with our puppy. He gave us advice on training, feeding and explained everything thoroughly. The lady on reception was friendly and efficient. Excellent service thank you.
Negative experience: Unfortunately, we won’t be bringing our puppy back to MediVet. Called the practice over several days, multiple times, last week and no one ever answered. This makes me anxious if I ever need them urgently in the future. At the appointment the practice felt dated and the waiting room floor was slippery. The vet didn’t scan for the microchip at puppy’s first appointment and I didn’t feel I could ask the vet any questions. No bedside manner or welcoming feeling given first appointment. The flea medication was out of stock so we had to go back when it was available. We called again in the morning to check the stock had arrived before we travelled there, again no answer. When we went to collect the treatment there was no record of any of the medicines prescribed on the puppy’s record or confirmation we had already paid.
Fantastic experience: These guys are brilliant here and actually care about animals . I've transferred my big boy over to these guys from some were else. They did all they could to save my girl,but it was to late but they saved her babies and they are now with them won't ever go any we're else . They are a brilliant team

Positive experience: New vet today not met them before, didn’t seem to listen gave me 2 tablets to relax my dog so she could have her claws cut, never done it this way before and tried to say I wasn’t confident it would work, she gets very stressed when her claws are cut, went back this morning and the veterinary nurse was lovely and could see why I was concerned now have to go back again for her to be sedated, she’s been off all day and hardly moved, if no improvement will be back at the vets again tomorrow. Really disappointed in the service and very worried

Fantastic experience: The staff at Medivet are amazing! My cat doesn't like the carrier, or the car, and is usually ill on the journey to the vets, but they are always incredibly patient with her, and seem to put her at ease during her regular 6 monthly check-ups. Fantastic experience: I have had two ⬛ registered with this Medivet in Hucknall. The staff are extremely caring and supportive. I had one who was very poorly and when she passed away i received a lovely remembrance from them which was very touching. The black and white cat ⬛ is my new fur babie.

Fantastic experience: Went to Medivet Hucknall for a second opinion. After spending £2000 at Vets for Pets, Bella was eventually diagnosed with Pancreatitis-it took them 3 weeks, numerous visits, 2 blood tests and after the second blood test ,Bella was so ill she had to be on a day release drip, coming home at night. Vets for pets said she could only have a prescription diet( very expensive) , no home cooked boiled fish/ chicken with veg. Bella didn’t eat or drink for 3 days which is when I asked for a second opinion from medivet. My appointment was for the following day, so the practice could get Bella’s history from Vets for Pets. Bella was examined and I was told the other practice had given me very bad advice and hadn’t conducted thorough tests( Ultrasound/xrays) to find the best plan of action. The lovely Medivet lady( Irish,I think was brilliant. She advised best food for Bella was tinned Chappie, home boiled Chicken/Fish with veg served in the liquid it was cooked in. She also advised having X-rays and ultrasound, but at the moment I really can’t afford any more tests as I have exhausted my savings. Bella showed signs of improvement from day one after the change of food, and is now almost fully recovered, she still isn’t drinking much, but getting liquids from the home cooked food and Chappie. She’s never been much for taking water , so now she is recovering I’m no overly concerned as she is back to normal with toilet routines and becoming her old, very vocal self. I’m so glad that I asked for a second opinion from Medivet, as I honestly think Bella wouldn’t have survived under Vets for Pets. Thank you Medivet for a wonderful service.

Fantastic experience: After some really bad experiences with Medivet in Hinckley (Roston Drive), these guys (in particular Stuart) completely restored our faith in Vets. Stuart (who we saw) is EVERYTHING you want your vet to be (professional, caring, understanding, compassionate and above all very knowledgable, and happy to properly explain everything). Negative experience: Gone down hill so much over the past 18 months. Never anyone to answer the phone, whisked the cat away No idea what they do but my cat comes back hissing and timid - finally, the person who decided to repaint the building in that shade of blue must be either colourblind or hate the residents. Please paint it back to white or cream

Negative experience: I didn’t realise there was so many others who have the same exact thoughts and feelings about this place. If you love your pet please don’t bring them here. I will never step foot back into this place. Everything is money , money , money and they don’t care about you or your pet! AVOID!!! Read the other reviews. Very similar to my situation. Fantastic experience: Thank you very much for your professionalism and quick response. In the evening, the cat has already started eating and drinking. :) Vet. Ms Boumila Stanek immediately recognized what was wrong with my cat :), treated with medication, we returned home happy. Such doctors are a treasure for the clinic and for the patients. I won't describe what happened to me the day before at the same clinic because I'll get angry, the vet only diagnosed fleas in the cat (I'd like to point out that it's the same cat I was with for the second time today. I'm thinking of the young doctor who only noticed fleas on my cat). seriously sick cat, I'll think about it!!!
Negative experience: Went to pick my dogs ashes up today Friday 7th June,I was appalled at the lack of compassion and empathy show by the receptionist. All she seemed to be concerned about was the payment and nothing else ....absolutely shocking !!!

Fantastic experience: My dog broke his toe over the weekend and not wanting to pay emergency fees I waited until Monday morning at 9am to call and i was offered an appointment with in the hour, sadly I was at work and unable to get there, so I took a booking for the evening. After seeing the vet I was offered a repeat visit for X-rays at 8am the next morning and after that service I was offered surgery the next morning at another practice. So our treatment has been second to none and we have been very happy and would be happy to recommend them

Negative experience: Avoid all they care about is money took my dog there for bladder stones they messed up two operations and i had to have my poor boy put down.Totally healthy other then the stonescost me £4000 now there hunting me for a further £3000 even tho there mistakes cost my boy his life please avoid .

Fantastic experience: Great service, friendly & helpful staff. Explained everything we needed to know and answered all our questions. We saw 2 seperate dogs on walks leading their owners inside just to hang out! all the pets in there was relaxed and seemed to like being there ... I've only ever saw anxious pets in a vets before my visit to this one, I usually use a different vets but this will be the only place I bring my pets now!

Negative experience: I am very unhappy with this visit. My husband came with my dog and was charged for 3 bottles of medication when we only had one. When I rang up to get the refund. I was told that it would take 2-3 MONTHS!!!! to credit this back to my card. This is disgraceful. I will be ringing headoffice cause the branch said, well that's just how it is!!! No.... you took the money quick enough! Your mistake, (which, I understand mistakes happen) but rectify it!!! In a timely manner!!! Very angry customer that won't be back if this is not resolved when I ring head office.

Fantastic experience: Brody came in as an emergency in August after being bitten and today having dental surgery and I could not be more pleased with his care both times the vet has gone above and beyond to make Brody a priority and provide outstanding treatment . I've had a difficult time with another veterinary practice who endangered my boy and my trust has well and truly been restored. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Negative experience: Since taking over my local vets your prices have rocketed. Everyone I know who used Buckley house before you took over have moved or are trying to move to other practices. We never get to see the same vet twice as the staff either constantly changes or you use locums. Medivet is the worst thing to happen to our local vets it's obvious it's about the money & profits & not the animal health care.

Negative experience: Just came back from the vets with my nervous dog, was supposed to go and get his ear checked and a women came outside and told me give him tablet in when I got home and tomorrow morning so he was calmer for when he came in to be put under anaesthetic and that he would need to have a muzzle on aswell!!! The women claimed to own the vets and said she was the manager but she was jumping around acting scared of my dog saying “dangerous dog” “dangerous dog”!! I am furious. Even the vets who was walking out finishing work looked in shock to what was happening! Will never be returning.

Fantastic experience: The staff is friendly and helpful. Dr. Grigorita deserves a special recognition for his individual approach, full professionalism and passion. The drawback is high prices, which are not adequate to people's earnings.

Negative experience: Used to be great, gone down hill so fast. Visited today for an appointment, receptionist was busy with other people fair enough. But, then completely ignored my existence and prioritised answering the phone. Then went and hid in the back room for 10 minutes, a delivery guy even turned up and couldn't make his delivery. I just left after waiting for 20 minutes past my appointment time. Have no intention of returning. They clearly do not care about anything except getting money, as they have attempted to double charge me on more than one occasion.

Fantastic experience: We have had a great experience here. Gabby saved our cat’s life and we couldn’t be more thankful. The staff are friendly and approachable and pricing is very reasonable compared with other practices. We got referred here for a specific urinary issue and even though it is about 45 minutes from where we live, we will seriously consider using this practice from now on (certainly for anything urinary!)

Fantastic experience: I've been taking my pets here for many years. They have always been professional and caring. Although they have now been taken over I still think they are one of the best vets around. Although maybe a bit understaffed.
Negative experience: After the advice of the vet to remove a lump from our dog we gave the go ahead only to be told after there’s more money to pay to see what the lump was , this certainly wasn’t the case, endless emails , calls , and strange opinions, we have decide the best care for out dog was to move vets, poor services after over 25 years, I THINK MEDI VET HAVE REMOVED THE PERSONAL CARING TOUCH FROM THIS PRACTICE I COULDNT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE NOW
