Fantastic experience: I can’t praise this practice enough. Each time we have had an appointment here, the reception staff are welcoming and friendly, the vets are punctual and calm, which is exactly what you need when your pet is somewhere unfamiliar. I never feel rushed during a consultation, Emily always has the time to discuss and concerns and treatment options and we always come out feeling happy that our dogs have had a thorough examination and treatment plan put in place. I would highly recommend Vets for Pets at Netherfield to anyone seeking a caring and thorough vet for their pet, after all, they deserve the best, they are family!!

Fantastic experience: I have recently started using Vets for Pets at Netherfield and have been really impressed by their wonderful care. Sadly we had to say goodbye to our dog, but this was handled delicately by both vets (Emily and Will) who looked after us and gave us the time and information we needed. The ladies on reception were incredibly sensitive and kind too. In happier times, we have had fantastic care for our new puppy - plenty of advice, not being rushed and feeling genuinely cared for. They offer good value for money, but most importantly, have your pets’ best interests at heart.

Fantastic experience: Friendly and caring staff from the initial phone call right through to our appointments. Everything is explained thoroughly and i always feel i can ask any questions i need. My family have been with this practise for a number of years but recently have had to visit for a couple of emergency appointments and they have been incredibly accommodating and sensitive throughout. We always feel heard and we are so lucky to have them there. A great team!

Fantastic experience: I have never had a bad experience here a few years ago I had to have my cat put down and they where so kind then 8 months later one of my other cats fell ill and we where there every week and Everytime the receptionist where fantastic and empathetic . I came across a cat that had been run over and I rang them straight away the receptionist kept me calm on the phone and was amazing with me when i arrived and then unfortunately last night my cat passed away and again they where really good treated me and my partner well even tho we where both an emotional state , i never manage to get the names of people when we are in these situations so thank you very much if you dealt with me and Toby today

Fantastic experience: Called Vets for Pets this morning for my 14 year old cat. He wasn't registered with them because he has never had anything at all wrong with him. He had a swelling on his face that came up quickly and I was worried. They managed to get me in the same day just for a routine appointment and not emergency. They were lovely from start to finish. The reception team were great and I liked how they had separate waiting areas for dogs and cats. The vet was absolutely lovely and explained he has an infection. She gave me the option of oral antibiotics or an injection and I went with the injection. Everything was explained thoroughly and in detail and the consultation room was such a calm environment for my cat. They were patient and really loving. Marley (cat) came away really calm and hasn't been phased by the experience at all. I can't thank or recommend Vets for Pets at Pets at Home enough!! Thank-you so much xx

Fantastic experience: I rescued a beautiful but injured racing pigeon (broken leg) that I spotted sitting in the middle of Lady bay brdge with cars swerving all around it, wheels only inches from its vulnerable body. Having gently placed it in a box in the back of my car, I phoned all the wildlife rescue centres in the area, mostly getting nowhere (although one did phone back an hour later). I eventually spoke to someone who told me my local vet was obliged to treat wildlife (although in this instance, there was an owner) so I took it to V4P. I have since learned that the bird is undergoing treatment, is being rehabilitated and will be reunited with its owner. I'm so happy that this bird has a second chance at life. It would not have survived without mine or the V4P practice intervention. I am told that this practice does regularly treat wildlife and does not automatically euthanise unless it is the kindest thing to do. Thank you to the team!

Fantastic experience: Everyone here is always going above and beyond for my dogs and rabbits. From neutering to eye removal or just general check ups/care, I always feel fully informed and supported. They're also brilliant in keeping my 2 year old entertained during appointments! A big big thank you to Will, Emily plus the lovely nurses, reception team and other vets who are all brilliant - I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: Operation on an older dog. I have an older dog that required 2 lumps removed and dental work. (One lump was really large) The day I took flo to the vet it honestly thought she would be walking over the . All day I prepared myself for the worst. Before the Operation the vet spent time with us. Explaining options and what the possible out comes could be. He we're given time to work out what we wanted to do. Flo was still so happy wages tail,eating and playing with her toys. We decided to have the Operation. Communication with all the staff was amazing. They are so compassionate about the work they do. I honestly think they are supervets we were able to collect flo late afternoon. The Operation had been successful. We can't thank the vet and his staff enough.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing service, I have had both my dogs registered here from them being 8 weeks old and not one complaint at all. unfortunately one of my dogs was put to sleep recently, the vet was so compassionate and caring and gave me all the time I needed to say goodbye. so grateful for there kindness over such a sad and upsetting time.

Fantastic experience: Saw a very nice lady vet for scooters boost jab. He went on scales on arrival I asked the young receptionist what he weighs in pounds she did not have a clue. At 76 I was bought up on old pounds and ounces. Will be back next year for his next booster.

Fantastic experience: Our first time using this vet I rescued a male Rabbit and needed him castrated. They were recommended to me and price wise the cheapest. I was very happy with the care he received, I'm not sure if it was wil that did his op but the nurse Alex is a credit to them she was amazing with her advice, care and help, she genuinely cares for the animals and she is lovely, I wouldn't hesitate to use again.

Negative experience: Very bad service, had a appointment for my two dogs that I had just registered as had moved from Burton to the area, they called me three times to confirm I would be there on the day I arrived earlier for my appointment as you do check in … then waited… waited…. Waited … half a hour over the time no one came to say sorry for the wait nothing just sat at reception like a brooding hen… went over to find out if they still going too see my two dogs said we running a bit behind.. SORRY!! 30 min is not a bit behind its a lot behind without someone coming to inform us other people with appointments after us we’re seen before us this was for the vets for pets absolutely disgraceful and not acceptable!! Do not register here find somewhere else!!!!

Negative experience: Awful disorganised “ practice “ the vet I had yesterday to vaccinate my little rabbit was awful. She handled her in the most awful and incorrect way and by no means was my little bun comfortable I was horrified at the way she was handled and any questions I had were dismissed as were my feelings bearing in mind this was my first time at a vets 4 pets. I would never ever recommend this to anyone. Also my little dog had a small fall of the sofa we asked for advice, oh bring him in they said. Can’t we tell all you care about is money!! The out of hours consult is £216 or something and the emergency in hours appt is £72 ish. That’s a joke if you ask me. Anyways, he is fine happy health boy as always!! All he needed was rest! Thankyou to the other DECENT vet practises I spoke to in the area. Lastly, there was the most beautiful long haired piggy opposite us in the waiting area which the “ vet “ kept calling a rabbit I mean I’m surprised they called my rabbit what it was to be honest how appalling. These really don’t know why they are doing and I’ve only recently moved to the area after leaving my vet nurse position I’m glad I could avoid sooner rather than later!

Fantastic experience: It can be a bit hit and miss with Vets4Pets, but this particular branch is a cut above. It all boils down to people, and the people here are just wonderful. Caring, hard working, professional, and really funny! Always a genuine pleasure to go down there, even when dealing with difficult situations

Negative experience: Recently, I've been taking my new puppy to vets for pets to have his vaccinations, but every time I go, they charge me a consultation fee??? When I haved to go on schedule appointments to keep my dogs vaccinations upto date I can understand that a first consultation fee is understandable but not everytime I go also they do not tell you this when you have a few appointments to get your dogs vaccinations upto date .

Negative experience: My young puppy was originally signed up here but after 2 months of them routinely missing issues I've now left. My Cavalier puppy was seen by the main vet at the practice to receive vaccinations. In order to do this, a routine health check is administered. I unfortunately had to visit the emergency vet for something unrelated shortly after and it was them who told me of the ear infection in BOTH ears, which had escalated to become severe. The vets4pets then ignored the advice to flush out ears (from the emergency vet) and had her on drops instead. These took 3 weeks to clear her ears. Discomfort that could have been reduced had the vet paid attention in the first place. I've now started at my new vet who has informed she also has conjunctivitis, which again was not noticed by vets4pets. Add to this the condescending nature of the main vet on call and the extortionate prices and I will not be back. I'd recommend to avoid. Also, please know that reviews on their website come only from CURRENT customers, meaning any who left as they weren't satisfied can not be seen. Keep this in mind when reviewing their site as it is misleading.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience when my dog had neuter, great aftercare, especially with my dog being reactive with the staff as he is a very nervous dog. I was just wondering if they can do nail clipping with some sadation as he doesn't like anyone going near his feet and they need doing??

Fantastic experience: Emily & Will are amazing!! Throughout all the madness & stress over the last few months getting our German shepherd Bodhi ready to fly to our New home in New Zealand both Emily & Will have been the only bit of sanity in a very crazy & worrying time. They have been amazing & so professional in dealing with all the blood tests, the examinations & other hoops New Zealand quarantine ask you to jump through on a regular basis! Would 100% recommend them without any hesitation

Fantastic experience: My cat has been registered at V4P Netherfield for 2 years and we had our last appointment there this week due to moving house. I just wanted to say thank you to all the staff there- between her regular checkups, boosters and neutering, and all the tummy trouble she's had, she's received wonderful care from everyone. I've managed to get appointments easily, felt listened to by the vets and always had faith that Socks was in the best hands. I hope our new vet is just as good!

Negative experience: I'd advise you to go to a smaller practice. Find a Vet that will actually advise you on what's best for your pet, even if it means missing out on a sale (which is absolutely not Vets4pets). Vets4pets tried to charge me 2x more for a dog implant than other, smaller practices. Vets4Pets didn't even bother to tell me that my dog is young for an implant unlike other vets who actually care about the wellbeing of animals over grabbing your money. Quite greedy and unethical really. I've had multiple experiences like this with these lot.

Fantastic experience: I have been registered with Vets for Pets originally Forest Town and now Netherfield since our Girls were 6 weeks and 8 weeks old The service is second to none. The staff are professional kind and welcoming the premises are spotlessly clean. The Vets ‘no rush’ attitude kindness professionalism and understanding is superb. They have time to listen and are totally dedicated to their job. You could not find a better Vets. The Vets knowledge is excellent and ability to explain a situation or treatment is exemplary Amazing service. Keep doing what you are doing.

I saw Lisa Dignum on my visit who was really good with Thor and patient with us both, she was really very lovely and explained things well and gave me some advice too

Fantastic experience: We use this practice for all 3 of our fur babies. Always received extremely good service and find Will very good with them and very knowledgable. We visit every month for one of our dogs to have an injection and Will always looks after us on every visit

Negative experience: Horrendous anyone and everyone needs to avoid this place!!! I have had pets all my life and unfortunately made the daft decision to take my dog here in an emergency situation. Well I can truthfully say the heartless reception staff and the vet that was vile and highly unprofessional had me on the verge of a mental breakdown. Any local/independent vet is better than this one, they do not care about your pets. All they care about is the money, and couldn’t care less about forcing your pet through unnecessary operations and medications just for the sake of extra money in their pockets. To say I was told my dog would need putting down and I got a second opinion and years later he’s still with me today makes me absolutely sick to my stomach that this place is still allowed to remain open.

Fantastic experience: The nurse took exceptional care of my two kittens and gave excellent advice. We have booked them in to be neutered. The vet with my senior cat was amazing too. Adam did a full health care check and my cats teeth could be an issue the last time we saw the vet. Adam the vet was fully satisfied that my cat didn't require this and it is a relief to know that your vets wont put pets through unnecessary treatment for monetary gain. You all really care!

Fantastic experience: The vets at this practice are amazing. I can specifically recommend the male vet. My daughter's cat was not eating and vomiting and the vet was so kind caring and thorough. He took bloods, did a scan and eventually ended up doing exploratory surgery and removed a piece of rubber from Loki's intestine. Loki received the very best of cars from all the staff and made a very fast recovery. My elderly dog recently went in for a check up and vaccinations. Once again the vet was extremely caring and thorough, and explained everything so well. He is very honest and trustworthy and advised against expensive allergy testing that previous vets had wanted to carry out, as even with the results there would be little we could do and my dogs allergy symptoms are not severe. He also did not advise a full hip replacement which other vets had said we should do. I value the vets care, honesty, and wonderful skills. I will always use this vet going forward and would recommend him to any pet owner. The photo is of my daughter's cat just a few days post-op

Negative experience: My dog died in surgery here. I am aware of the risk associated with any surgery, however what was really shocking was the lack of empathy or explanation from the vets - nobody even apologised, they just sent their assistants out the back with her body and didn’t even help us lift her into our car. I have since moved my 4 other family pets to a new vets.

Negative experience: As with all Vets4Pets - really poor surgery. Would recommend avoiding and going to an independent Vet that is actually interested in your pets wellfair not just your money.

Fantastic experience: The receptionist was very friendly and interested in my puppy. The vet remembered us both and mentioned that my puppy was very nervous last visit. The vet got down on the floor with my puppy and made her feel much happier

Negative experience: Used to be great but with change of staff and since the lockdown the level of staff is somewhat disappointing. The nurse/vet (not sure as they didnt even introduce themsleves) was rude, disinteresed, unsympathetic to my pet that was highly stressed - said little and offered no advice. Really poor level of staff/patient interaction. Seem to have loads on reception that don't really do anything - the receptionists a year ago were wonderful and super sympathetic to the pet's needs, once even offering a blanket with Pet remedy to calm my super stressed out kitty. That's all gone. Really stressful pet visit.

Fantastic experience: Another 5 star review from us. Wonderful care for our boy, who can be quite difficult to deal with. Emily and Will quicky got on top of what could have been an awful situation for our dog. I felt well informed, listened to and very much involved in the decision making process. Veterinary care at its best.

Negative experience: Never had a problem with Vets4Pets before, but new receptionist/admin very rude and lacked compassion. We had just put our cat down as you can imagine very upset over this, receptionist did not care when speaking to her was more interested in us giving the money over ASAP. Then tried to charge us double the amount for putting our cat down, she was very rude, then I asked her for some medication I needed to pick up, she slammed in down in front of me said nothing and didn't even look at me, just carried on typing on her computer. Really need to sort their staff out and have good customer service, will definitely be taking my business elsewhere. Complete money grabbers!

Fantastic experience: I rang at five o'clock because I was concerned about my cat's health. I got an appointment for 6.15. Will Newbury knows my cat and has taken a lot of interest in her progress. He remembered everything about her. I would not like to see any other vet with her. My cat even purred whilst he was examining her.

Fantastic experience: The vet I saw was so nice and really took an interest in my bunnies. She explained to me everything I needed to know and had lots of time for me and was super knowledgeable about rabbits.

Fantastic experience: The Vet, Will, is the best experience of a vet I have ever had. Our cat passed away and he did everything he could and acted only in our cats best interest. He explained everything thoroughly, was honest, genuine and so caring. This practice put pets first, not thier pockets. All the staff are sincere and an absolute pleasure. They allowed us to see our cat before cremation. Grieving has been made that bit easier because of it. We were allowed to say goodbye. They are so honorable and understanding. This practice goes above and beyond. Couldn't praise them anymore.

Negative experience: I use them for my annual dog jabs. They're free for life so I'll continue. They prescribed metacam for my ageing lab but when she had serious tummy upset would not even discuss whether the metacam could be the case without me then paying more for a telephone consultation. And they prescribed it! I'll use a different vet for anything else.

Fantastic experience: Will was very friendly and informative about my rabbits current condition and let me know some things to keep an eye on. The staff on reception were also very helpful and friendly.

Fantastic experience: The nurse Alex was amazing, Coco my dog wont let anyone near to cut her nails , I was gobsmacked when she (Coco)came out with all nails clipped and anal glands sorted, we feel as the family as if we have a new dog , my dog is very happy now after her visit, and months of not being able to go to pdsa, excellent 1st time I have ever seen my dog so relaxed thank you so much Alex :)
