Manor Vets - Edgbaston: Reviews
Negative experience: On Monday, 16 February, I booked an appointment by phone at the Edgbaston clinic. The appointment was agreed and confirmed (!) for Wednesday at 11:30. This was important because my dog urgently needed a vaccination. At the scheduled time, we arrived at the clinic, but it was closed. I called the same staff member who made the booking, and he told me that the clinic had actually been closed for a week and that it was impossible to make the appointment. This was extremely surprising, because when I called to book, he never mentioned this. Instead, he asked many questions about my name, my dog’s name, and my address, repeating them several times. However, no important clarifying questions were asked (for example, “Which clinic would you like to book?”). This is especially strange because each clinic has its own phone number, and I called the number specifically listed for Edgbaston. We then spent 15 minutes standing outside in the cold trying to resolve the situation. Eventually, a new appointment was arranged. I had to take another taxi for 30 minutes (and the same distance back). No discount was offered, only “Sorry, that’s unfortunate.” In total, I spent £50on taxi journeys. I also received a penalty at work because I was 2.5 hours late(-50£ more,so I spent 100£ just to get a vaccination that I was told would cost £80 ) Additionally, the price quoted on the phone was £40 less than what I was asked to pay at reception. Again, I was told, “Oh, maybe you asked about something else.” I paid all the money I had left after deducting my taxi expenses. I brought £80 because that was the price I was told, plus £10 for the taxi home. In the end, I was given a handwritten note saying that I still had an outstanding balance.Even after I explained the situation, I was still asked to pay the full amount. Only after I repeated several times that I had no more money and that I was very unhappy with the situation was I told that a manager would contact me.It is unclear how, with such poor organisation, the clinic considers it reasonable to request full payment in this situation. I have no complaints about the veterinarian — she was polite and professional, that’s 1 star for her Everything else was extremely disorganised. Let's see what the manager says. I'll complete the review as the situation becomes clear P.s. Well, the call was received literally an hour after the appointment . And they don’t care about the fact that it was their mistake - they oblige me to pay a full price. In total, I got vaccinated for £120 (although £80 was voiced on the phone) and I spent £100 because of their mistake as I described above. I strongly don't recommend this place. The experience of being in this place cost £220
Negative experience: Seen reviews lot good ones but there are people like me who don't think much of these. vets are meant to be kind caring take time to examine animals these definitely don't do that all animals go through pain ect like humans but these vets don't care when do have to deal with wounds vets who deal birds should know all about them but don't know the signs of a dying bird as my budgie was going through hours at vets he died got home if even bothered to examine my other little boy blood loss would of found lump and could of sorted it but nope they didn't.medication all the time vets lots they said would keep in touch about tests and health all lies had to keep running after them put through pain few months meds my baby passed away a proper vet would of checked and did all to make sure ok but definitely didn't here reception are very good but vets are definitely not it's all about money here as people already know not cheap. true vets will do all for animals not about costs that vary from different vets here so people you know your loved ones better than anyone you can read up on things on net takes time pictures to compare few with yours then if GTA vets as you got idea can tell vets as a vet is the only place you can get meds from you get sorted with meds that cost a lot to and hopefully you save your loved ones life's keep them safe keep them warm give them love and time and take care
Fantastic experience: Lovely staff and vets very pleased sorted my pet out and showed me how but ear drops in very good

Fantastic experience: A lovely vets! Perfect for my little Kitten!
Fantastic experience: We have used alot of vets over our time having our pet cat. These guys always go above and beyond and always seem to have the right answers. They truly care about what's best for the pet and are very trustworthy. We havent had the same experience with other well known veterinary practices.
Fantastic experience: Very good and prompt service.
Fantastic experience: My cat has chronic kidney disease and the staff took time to really explain this and come up with a plan. Vets, nurses and administration staff all very attentive and kind.
Fantastic experience: My experience with Manor Vets was excellent. I'm registered with another veterinary clinic but due to a concern my parrot had swallowed something metal, they recommended Manor Vets due to the x-ray facility. I contacted Manor Vets in the morning and spoke to Diana on reception. She was terrific. She liaised with the exotic pets vet and reached out to my existing clinic to arrange for the records. I was booked in straight away. Upon arrival we were seen by the vet Aimie. I cannot praise Aimie enough. She was terrific in handling our pet and her knowledge and experience is very evident. Thankfully the x-ray came back clear and all other checks came back positive. I would highly recommend Manor Vets Edgbaston. Thank you again
Fantastic experience: Staff were very polite and helpful, answered all questions and if they didn't know the answer they went to find out for me. Looked after my little fur baby well. UPDATE (2025) It's been a few years since I originally posted my review, my fur baby has since had kittens who are now 5 years old and manor vets is still as good as it was before. I have no complaints staff are still polite and helpful.
Fantastic experience: Staff are amazing, understanding, extremely helpful and extremely caring one of the best vets i have been too
Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend Manor Vets Edgbaston highly enough! The team provided outstanding care for my kitten from the moment we arrived. The vets were incredibly kind, patient, and professional, taking the time to explain everything clearly and making sure my kitten felt comfortable and safe. The staff showed genuine compassion and expertise, and it’s clear they truly love animals. The clinic is clean, well-organized, and welcoming, which really put me at ease. Thanks to their attentive care, my kitten is happy, healthy, and thriving. I’m so grateful to have such a wonderful veterinary practice nearby—five stars all the way!
Fantastic experience: Manor vets are really good they really do care about all animals very friendly helpful staff and the manager very helpful best vets I've been too
Fantastic experience: Diana was such a great help today with the pet health club details. Great service 10/10 overall!
Fantastic experience: We have the most wonderful care for our peanut- everyone has been amazing and he has been so well looked after thank you so much
Fantastic experience: Amazing veterinary practice. The love and care they have shown my rabbits over the years has been exemplary. Jack, who cares for my rabbits, has been fantastic and particularly great with my bunny Elizabeth, his expertise and knowledge has kept Elizabeth in good health. I trust him implicitly and the practice/staff too, very kind and caring. Highly recommended to anyone who needs a trustworthy and compassionate vet.
Fantastic experience: Thank you so much for taking in the injured pigeon I bought in, the lady at reception was really sweet and they took him in straight away. Thank you.
Fantastic experience: We were referred here from our normal vet’s, for our very poorly rabbit. We were seen by jack who was very knowledgeable and friendly who gave us advice and set a plan for the next day for senna to have investigations done. Was very patient with her even tho she was grunting and weed on the table. Ended up signing both senna and her sister up to the pet health club and moved to manor vets. Have two very happy rabbits after being spayed by jack and the team. Special mention to Vicky on reception who helped explain how our insurance claim would work and was friendly due a worrying time for us. Massive thank you to all at Manor Vets Edgbaston!
Fantastic experience: We were at another vets in solihull. My son found Jack at manor vets who specialises in exotic animals. We have a rabbit who means the world to us. She had a few not very nice experiences in the past, so became nervous. Jack was so gentle and caring, you could see she was so relaxed and comfortable with him from the very first visit. His knowledge and understanding was invaluable. Its what we were looking for. Everyone loves their pets and wants the best for them, we found it all at Manor Vets. Receptionists, everyone who works there, they all seem as if they love their job. I went to the shirley branch to pick some medication, they were wonderful too. I would highly recommend Monor Vets.
Fantastic experience: Great exotic vet. The staff were friendly and my little hamster was weighed, had a nail trim and I was given some advice for his elderly care. Thankyou Manor Vets!
Fantastic experience: We've been using Manor Vets in Birmingham for over 15 years and have always received excellent care. Over the years, we've brought in turtles, guinea pigs, and cats, and the team has consistently been professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. No matter the pet or the issue, we've always felt confident in their advice and treatment. It's clear they truly care about animals, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and experienced veterinary practice.
Fantastic experience: Very friendly, helpful place, and I was so calm and relaxed. Staff is so good. Couldn't ask for better.
Negative experience: I would not trust this place, had an emergency and they refused to help me.
Fantastic experience: Wonderful kind helpful and friendly staff,,Amie the vet was wonderful many thanks to you all xxxx
Fantastic experience: Manor vets are a fantastic clinic. The clinicians are exceptionally experienced and professional. The reception staff are always friendly.
Fantastic experience: Appointment was on time. Vet was caring.... problem solved so perfect
Fantastic experience: Brought my Quaker parrot here for his first vet trip / consultation, the exotic vet I saw was very helpful and gave me good tips and advice. Which has managed me to improve my parrots health and quality of life. He handled him very well and checked him over. Safe to say I was more nervous than my parrot was. Would definitely recommend these vets. Will go back for his next checkup with much ease now I know how good these vets are
Fantastic experience: Aimie Lai is the best guinea pig vet I’ve seen. This clinic is amazing, they did an x ray on my guinea pig with no sedation. Unfortunately the results were not good and we had to put him down. But I felt my baby was really treated with love. She did loads of questions and I really had a feeling she knew what she was doing. If this clinic wasn’t so far I would defo change my vets. If you consider opening a branch around great Barr with the same level of vets would be amazing. Thank you reception girls and Aimie Lai!
Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend Ben Duquemin at Manor Vets highly enough. He’s been absolutely amazing with my elderly, unwell cat — gentle, calm, incredibly knowledgeable, and always focused on what’s best for her, not just the most expensive option. What really stands out is his honesty and genuine care. He takes the time to explain everything clearly, answers all my (many!) questions with patience, and never rushes us. It’s such a relief to have a vet who supports both the pet and the owner, especially in stressful moments. Thanks to Ben, I finally feel like my cat is in safe, compassionate hands. Truly grateful.
Fantastic experience: Excellent my cat is very very volatile at the vets but it did not worry daina the beautiful lady vet who dealt with him I thank her from the bottom of my heart Thank you for exceptional service
Negative experience: Would give 0 stars if I could. Our appointment was at 915am today. We were running late and by the time we parked up and got into the vets it was 921am. We waited another approx. 7 minutes to be seen by the reception - perhaps more efficient staff could be put on reception. Because we were 6 minutes late, the blonde woman with glasses at the reception said she would try to slot us in after the customers, who were already in the waiting room, were seen and would update us... but this was a lie as she hadnt bothered to communicate any update until we went up to the reception to ask her. We waited 45 minutes ,in which we had to continuously ask for updates, only to be told they were going to see their other patients instead. Going to the vets is stressful enough but to wait 45 minutes , to no gain, was a very long time for an already distressed cat. We will not be returning due to the lack of communication. This wouldn't have resulted in such a disappointing visit had we not been told from the start we needed to rearrange our appt for being 6 minutes late instead of being given false hope and wasted 45 minutes! AVOID!
Negative experience: Excellent service in all when they see money, there evil people vets are if they dont see money then your animal is worth nothing to them, there telling me my cat needs urgent seeing to, so i told them friends of animals are helping me towards the cost as they know all this before when i visited they helpd me, but there officr got closed at 5pm so these vets didnt see me till i paid how evil of them
Fantastic experience: Plenty of seating in separate seating areas, can park directly in front too.
Fantastic experience: Manor Vets Edgbaston were absolutely amazing when we found a tiny kitten (just a few days old) that had been abandoned by her mother. Their skill, kindness and quick response saved her life & we are so incredibly grateful. Thank you SO much!
Fantastic experience: Very knowledgeable & friendly team, cannot thank you enough.
Fantastic experience: I just wanted to write a review after my really positive experience this morning. I am so grateful for the help of manor vets with my poorly hammy. I went there thinking id have to euthanise her and she was a bit of a lost cause only to be reassured that there was still help we could give her to make her better. Mal Q the exotic was so understanding and caring towards both me and my baby hammy. She reassured me and did all she could do to make sure my hammy was comfortable. She really is an asset to manor vets!! What a great vets to go to! The lady on reception was also extremely helpful and friendly with me and helped me lift the cage out and into my car. Keep doing what you're doing! There aren't many vets out there like this anymore
Positive experience: Excellent vet, so long to wait for specialist rodent appointment though
Fantastic experience: I was worried about taking my Blue Tongued Skink to the vets as they're a less well-known pet in the UK, but they were extremely knowledgeable on reptiles and BTS and transparent about care procedures and what to look out for.
Fantastic experience: Highly highly reccomend this practice for their exotic vet care for rodents from my experience. Receptionists are fantastic, very knowledgable and experienced vets, extremely transparent & offer all treatment options. My hamster unfortunately passed, and they treated me and her with such kindness even for a pet some people deem lesser, they laid her in a box ready for burial with a flower. I cannot thank this practice and their staff enough.
Fantastic experience: Following a recent visit all the staff (receptionist and vet) were very professional and friendly.
Fantastic experience: Manor vets is great if you are looking for a practice that have a several different vets to draw on in terms of experience, and access to state of the art equipment like CT scans, MRIs etc. If your pet has life long or complex conditions, then this can make a huge difference, as you won't need to keep being bounced back and forth between your local practice and a specialist like here for a referral. They also have exotic specialists, and have links with more bespoke or hands on services that can refer to like physiotherapists or home hospice care for end of life patients who need care at home. The vets tend to stay up to date with research and techniques and have the best treatments normally. However, they are part of a larger chain, and are costly, compared to an independent (which are few and far between- don't be fooled by many practices which appear to be independant but are owned by larger groups). The extra money isn't going into the pocket of the vets themselves but the share holders, and the mark up on the drugs is significant. If you don't have insurance, this might make a dent in your pocket. If you are struggling for money and aren't able to afford insurance, then perhaps PDSA would be a better option for someone looking to meet the medical needs of their pets. Unfortunately this is the case with most vets in the UK. They do have 2 administrators based in the office who handle all of the insurance paperwork who are very helpful with getting it all sorted though, and I've been extremely grateful for them over the years. Veterinary costs have also increased a lot in the last couple of years across the board, as have insurance premiums, so this is worth bearing in mind. I've used them alongside other vets (fostering for a rescue means I sometimes have to use their approved vets) for over ten years now, and they are the only place I take my pets. The vets are diligent, and I've received calls from the same vet at 8am, and then again at 10pm, showing the long hours they pull. When my pets have stayed in overnight for critical care, I've been able to phone and get updates on how they are doing. They've been supportive of my needs as a disabled pet owner as well to ensure that we are well supported as a family. On the rare ocassion over the decade I've needed to make a complaint, it's been well handled. The vets have always gone the extra mile, sourcing unusual medications, researching alternative treatment options, and taking into account personal circumstances to make sure that the treatment is focuses on my pets needs. I have ridiculously high standards, and I know they want the best for my pet and I trust them.
Fantastic experience: I am a breeder from Coventry. I heard from a friend of mine recommended that in Birmingham lots of vets do offer kitten/puppy starter full package. I was going to a vet at Solihull but it was too far so I decided to search online kitten package vets at Birmingham. Suddenly I saw manor vets I decided to register with them and get them vaccinated The service is amazing both from reception and vet, all of them look professional and I can see the vet who injected vaccine for my kitten is a real animal lover, they do care about animal welfare and this package they offered only 70 including a full course of vaccination, microchipped, flea and worm treatment. And even a bag of kitten food. I think what I've got froim worth more than 70 quids... A huge thank you to you all From now on, I wouldn't use any vets at Cov anymore, they are not professional enough and the price they charge are much higher than a normal market price at Birm. Not to mention that the high prices they charge do not include deworming services and kitten food. I'll be an official client from this vet and hopefully it will be much easier for me to travel to here as I get my driving license sorted. I will definitely see you guys soon xx
Fantastic experience: The vets at this centre are amazing highly recommend to take any animal there. We take our injured wildlife birds that comes into my brother rescue and they are amazing with them they decide if it’s best to be put to sleep or to come back into the rescue and live a happy life. They never put animal small or big to sleep if it’s not recommended. Best veterinary practice in Birmingham definitely worth going
Fantastic experience: They saved my budgie's life! I can't say enough words how good and operative they all been! If not all the Manor staff I wouldn't have my budgie by now.. They all together did this amazing job! Massive thank you to Jack, Ben, all the nurses and receptionists! ❤️ Ringo is fully recovered after surgery and living his best life!
Fantastic experience: This place is absolutely 5 stars and more! Our bunny broke her jaw and our own vets could not do anything for her, someone was looking down on us when we got transferred to Manor Vets Edgbaston. Mikel her vet is an absolute genius and the kindest man we have ever met, he goes above and beyond to help and honestly we would not thank him enough! He always remained positive and nothing was too much trouble, she would not be here without him. The nurse Faye is the sweetest person, equally as compassionate and caring and helped not only with our bunny taking great care of her but made us feel so at ease, such a lovely person. The reception staff, well it’s safe to say we spent a lot of time with these ladies on our trip weekly visits for 3 months, they are kind, compassionate and just great people and we enjoyed there company! Our bunny is now all fixed because of these great people and she will be staying at this vets for any future treatment and her vaccinations, thank you guys, you really are the best x Highly highly highly recommend this vets!
Fantastic experience: Fantastic vets, especially Jack and Mikel, and nursing staff, especially Mandy. Reception staff are also extremely helpful and supportive. I would recommend this team to anyone who has rabbits. The team is so knowledgeable and also happy to educate owners to better manage and understand their rabbits needs.
Fantastic experience: Went to Edgbaston Clinic as my dog went of his legs. No appointments at halesowen Receptionist very helpful and understanding. Vet Mel was very good explained everything clearly and sent text as he had lots of medication to take. Totally happy even though she had to rush out to crashed animal. Came to us and even though you could see she was upset talked us through everything My heart goes out to her. Very professional
Fantastic experience: They very nice and friendly staff, they always ready to help, its not a problem taking my cats there at all.
Fantastic experience: Brilliant vets, the staff are amazing. They saved our tortoises life. We can't thank them enough
Fantastic experience: I've been a couple of times now with our gerbils as this is one of the recommended exotic vets for us, despite it been over 5 miles away from home. We are always greeted warmly and the vets we have seen have been fabulous
Fantastic experience: Staff are really lovely and very capable from the reception staff to the vets. We’re delighted with the service we’re getting.
Fantastic experience: We took our very aggresive cat to this practice for a vaccination before any possible foreign travels with out cat. Dr Ben was very cautious and did his best not the trigger our already aggressive cat. He was very helpful and patient. He is also familiar with pet travels to the EU. The practice is spacious and has sepetate areas for cats, dogs and exotics. The reception staff is super helpful. I reccommend to all!
Fantastic experience: The level of expertise, compassion and care you receive at this vets is unmatched. Brilliant with exotics. Listened to every concern, explained everything clearly and did their absolute best to help our poorly pet. Gave us choices and options which was much appreciated. Excellent customer care from reception all the way to the dedicated medical professionals.
Negative experience: Extremely disappointed with the vets at this practice. We took in our cat just over a week ago as she had stopped eating and drinking due to what was diagnosed as a respiratory infection. We were worried but during our first consultation our cat was given antibiotics and we were told she should improve. The first consultation I can accept, however over the next few days our cat’s condition started to get worse and she still wasn’t eating or drinking. We were told to come in for a second consultation which was with Ben. I find it ridiculous that they charge you at the full rate for a second consultation instead of what should be a reduced follow up consultation fee. At this second consultation instead of carrying out a proper diagnosis through blood tests, x-rays etc the vet was more interested in what I would describe as money making treatments and products including a nutrition drink which was of no use as our cat wasn’t drinking so not sure why this was suggested. Our cat was kept in for 5 hours and given a drip which came at a significant cost and yet when we came to pick her up there was no improvement in her condition but the vet was happy for us to take her home despite admitting she hadn’t eaten when they had tried feeding her either. Our cat’s condition deteriorated and when we took her to a different vet and showed them the treatment she had been given, the vet stated that the antibiotics she had been given at Manor vets were not strong enough and he questioned why they chose that course of treatment, didn’t do a blood test nor prescribe eye drops. Our cat was referred to a veterinary hospital and following blood test results (which only took 30 mins), a bleak prognosis and a high financial bill for the level of treatment that would be needed after we’d already spent £500 at Manor vets we made the decision to put our cat to sleep. Following our second consultation in particular we feel our cat was not treated with urgency or given the level of treatment she needed. I wish I’d taken our cat to the other vet sooner as the difference in the level of treatment was far superior to Manor vets.
Fantastic experience: Brilliant is the word that comes to mind. All staff are friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. We’re lucky to have such an exceptional exotics team so close by.
Fantastic experience: Amazing patient and very attentive service. Veterinary specialist was calm Collective and very friendly. Thank you
Fantastic experience: Fantastic service. Vets are knowledgeable and show great care for my rabbits. Highly recommend
Fantastic experience: Lovely caring staff. They looked after my little rat, Luna, very well when she had her surgery on May 7th! She acted like she hadn’t had anything done, after surgery. Her wound is now completely healed and her fur is finally growing back! Mikel was lovely throughout and as you can see, you can hardly see the scar now! Thank you all again for lucking after my girl ❤️
Fantastic experience: Moved to this vet after losing confidence in our previous practice. Having been seen by both Mikel and Jack, their reptile knowledge is top notch. Mikel in particular takes a real personal investment in his patients. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend, especially anyone with an exotic pet.
Fantastic experience: The best vet you can imagine for your rabbit, honestly. If you have one, you probably know how important it is to find someone who is really good and experienced when it comes to them. We've been registered with Manor Vets for 3,5 years now. They helped us with everything, from our bunnies' tummy issues, through sore hocks and sterilisation to broken spine. And when our little adventurous boy broke it, vets working in the Manor Vets Edgebaston and Halesowen did everything to help him within our insurance fund. They took amazing care of him on his first days in the hospital and then by helping us to rehabilitate him, providing informations about what we need to do, how to make it easier to feed him and how to take care of him at home. Thanks to them he can be his adorable, goofy self again, while I know that if we weren't so lucky to have such a good vet, he could not be there with us now. We're really grateful for all the amazing stuff that helped us go through this. I super, super highly recommend this place to every other bunny owner - you can be sure they'll be in good hands. People working there are truly animal lovers and outstanding professionals.
Fantastic experience: Treated my budgie with the utmost care very efficient with dealing with his health and he's now on the fast road to recovery thanks guys
Negative experience: I highly suspect this veterinary of wrongly amputating my cat when she could’ve naturally healed instead of chopping the whole leg of because of money hunger. I was less informed on felines at the time but after years this is the conclusion i have come to.
Fantastic experience: Manor Vets Edgbaston has become my new personal reference for excellent vet care! Especially as the owner of an exotic pet (rats), I'm so glad I found them. The staff are super friendly, helpful and understanding, the doctors take the time to explain everything in detail, treatments and diagnoses were very well thought out and communicated transparently and finally the prices are fair (not cheap, but fair). And most importantly, I always felt like they really cared! When I lost one of my boys after a serious illness at home, the doctor even took quite some time to talk with me afterwards (when I came in with one of the others) about the circumstances and everything, which was really comforting! Thank you! You are the greatest! ❤️
Positive experience: Vet gave very good treatment to my rabbit and allowed her bonded parnet in with her for her visit. Had to wait 40 minutes past our appointment time but apparent from that a positive experience
Fantastic experience: Excellent care & treatments for my rabbit plus good communication ensuring I understand fully from exotic vet due to my hearing disability. Friendly reception staff. Practice is very clean with separate waiting areas for dogs, cats & exotic. I have been with this Practice for ten years.
Fantastic experience: I can't speak highly enough of the staff at Manor Exotics. I have a young rabbit who is my absolute world, who was originally registered at a different vet. I wasn't confident with the treatment of my bun so followed a reccomendation to join Manor Exotics. We have had quite a poorly boy, which ended up in an operation. Mikel & Jack have been amazing throughout his treatment and have been really patient with my rabbit & I! Their knowledge is phenomenal and I trust them whole heartedly. We needed an emergency appointment and were seen to really quickly. The reception staff & nurses are also knowledgeable and welcoming. I have had 0 negative experiences and have reccomended the practice to lots of people. I can't praise them enough! Thank you team x
Fantastic experience: Can’t fault the team here with exotics. I have a parrot and a tortoise and know they are in the best hands. I find the prices fairly reasonable and the knowledge and expertise second to none
Fantastic experience: The Edgbaston practice of Manor Vets give exceptional care to exotic pets. The whole team is amazing and I always feel like my pets are in the best care. The receptionists are fantastic at getting you booked in quickly. The vets and nurses are amazing at looking after animals and explaining things to clients. They cope really well with emergencies and will always go above and beyond for their patients. Post-operative care is brilliant and the expertise of the team are phenomenal. I always feel like I can trust this practice to do the best for my pets. I recently had to use the practice in an emergency situation and the receptionists got me booked in straight away. When I arrived, the team had already prepared everything they needed to save my guinea pig and the communication was fantastic. The whole team were brilliant at reassuring me throughout the 2 hours we were there and Jack was brilliant at updating me and keeping me informed. When I needed extra checkups over the Easter weekend, the team slotted me in without hesitation and the vets I saw were very thorough and reassuring. I would recommend this practice to anyone.
Fantastic experience: Avian vets are a really rare breed and we're very happy to have found this one! Jack was very thorough and professional. We felt confident in leaving our African Grey in his care.
Fantastic experience: I brought my ferret here. The vets was very clean, receptionist staff was very professional and welcoming. The vet I had was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this vets.
Fantastic experience: Took my budgies here, my first time taking them to a vets. The whole process was easy to book and the staff were so friendly. The vet Jack, quickly diagnosed my birds and gave them the appropriate treatment taking time to show me how to administer it properly! A really fantastic job and thank you!
Fantastic experience: I have my birds all registered here and I don't regret it. The staff are lovely and informative. So helpful with everything. Very skilled and well informed too
Fantastic experience: Visited for my daughter's bearded dragon as they have a specialist exotic section. Have to say that the team are amazing. They took the time to explain what was happening, talk through the test results and offered support at an amazingly stressful time. Couldnt recommend them enough.
Fantastic experience: We took our ferret in last night, the team were very kind and helpful. The vet we talked saw was amazing, our little one was very ill but he was very kind throughout the visit, made sure we had all the options and gave us time and space to make choices. The whole team were amazing. Could not recommend enough.
Fantastic experience: Vets Jack and Mal looked after my rabbit and were great. My family also take our turtle to this practice and Mikel was excellent. Reception staff are also v helpful
Positive experience: Very good staff with loads of knowledge of the pets brought into the practice .you know that your loved ones are in good safe hands
Fantastic experience: The lady that took care of my cat was amazing, she explained to me everything I needed to know and suggested me how to treat my cat, definitely recommended!
Fantastic experience: Great service. Good experience for the dogs, friendly staff team. Good parking, and a brilliant waiting room, clean warm.
Negative experience: Strong Displeasure with Recent Veterinary Experience I am compelled to express my profound dissatisfaction with the service I recently received at your clinic, and I believe it is crucial to bring this matter to your attention. My experience has left me deeply disappointed and concerned about the standards of care and hygiene at your establishment. During my appointment on [date], I was informed at the last minute that the required vaccine for my dog was unavailable, and no alternative, compatible option was provided. This happened when I was assured during the appointment setup (a week before) that the vaccine will be available and I would be informed beforehand if anything changes. This lack of proactive communication and planning is highly unprofessional and reflects poorly on the clinic's commitment to responsible pet care, especially when today was the last day of vaccination for my puppy. In addition to the vaccine issue, the condition of the clinic was appalling. I attended the first appointment of the day only to find the examination table covered in dog hair and visibly dirty. The evident lack of cleanliness and the failure to disinfect the table is unacceptable and does not meet the expected standards for a veterinary clinic. This is also highly risky for puppies that have not yet received their vaccinations. I believe it is crucial to share my experience on your website to ensure that other pet owners are aware of the shortcomings they might encounter. The level of irresponsibility and poor hygiene practices exhibited during my visit is simply unacceptable, and I feel it is my responsibility to caution potential clients. I sincerely hope that you take this feedback seriously and take immediate steps to address these concerns. As a pet owner who values the health and well-being of my furry companion, I expected a much higher standard of care from your clinic.
Positive experience: First using this vets. Took very good care of the dog and they were very friendly, compassionate and explained everything.
Fantastic experience: Highly recommend going here with any avian problems Jack was very knowledgeable in treating my budgie, and gave me a tutorial on how I can continue the treatment from home, also gave me advice on how to change my birds diet, 5/5
Negative experience: My mothers dog was dying fitting and not well at all. It was an emergency situation. As a vet who cares for animals why on earth was my mother sent away to carry her half dead dog when apparently you care about animals ! She had payment as she knew little lady needed to be put to sleep. Turned her away Money grabbing people who do not care for animals at all! Total different dog and total different owner! Disgusting excuse for vets and you should be ashamed. My mums dog sadly had to be put down Thankyou to VETS4PETS who looked at our sweet girl straight away after walking from manor vets who rudely told my mum to get out and they won’t help this dying dog! Should be ashamed ALL FOR MONEY nothing to do with welfare of animals!!! DO NOT USE MANOR VETS! EVER. I WONT BE returning with my dog ever again And will make sure none of my family or friends attempt to use this diabolical excuse of a place. Staff are rude tooo. AVOID AT ALL COST ESPECIALLY IF YOU NEED URGENT CARE FOR YOUR ANIMAL
Fantastic experience: Professional with a warm hearted service from this practice. My pets wellbeing is always taken good care of with no stress to them. I find this a great help and know my pet will always be happy to return because of the care they give to them.
Fantastic experience: I have been to various good vets with my guinea pigs but since seeing Mikel here, I’ve realised just how clueless some of them have been. It’s really worth going to an exotics expert like manor vets for this reason. Mikel is so knowledgable when it comes to all the latest info on exotics such as guineas and rabbits and is also an excellent surgeon — I won’t go anywhere else now.
Fantastic experience: Exceptional service always, great staff and nothing is too much trouble as I have a gorgeous pug who hates having nails done and they are great with her every time. Thank You Team
Fantastic experience: Never had any issues with Manor Vets. And particularly the vet we saw a few days ago for our tortoise was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The Reception staff are all super helpful and polite.
Fantastic experience: Friendly staff and the vet successfully removed a large bladder stone from our guinea pig without surgery. We were referred there by our local vet as they were not confident enough to do it. We have been a few times before with other guinea pigs and have always been happy with the results.
Fantastic experience: Went along for a consultation with Jack for our bearded dragon. Jack was really thorough, helpful with the specific concern and with general welfare, and very patient with the questions of three children! Reception staff were friendly and welcoming. We all felt very well cared for!
Fantastic experience: Amazing! A month ago I had to put my ferret down, when my other ferret began getting poorly I thought this would be the case again. The exotic vet was amazing and knew exactly what was going on, I have been giving my pet medication for only 2 days now and she is already a lot better. It was a bit far for me to travel to but it was worth it as all the vets near me would tell me things were wrong when really they had no clue what was going on. I have 3 ferrets and will be bringing them all here from now on. The vet also gave me medication for my other 2 ferrets at home to stop the spread of any nasties which I thought was amazing, he already gave me the medication and told me the dosage after I weighed them over the phone once I got home so I didn’t have to make another journey.
Fantastic experience: Fantastic service. The vet was so kind and gentle with us and our cat. The reception staff was lovely as well :)
Fantastic experience: This vets is fantastic. We’ve had a few visits at this one and the Harborne one for our two cats, and they are so knowledgable and caring. Ben and Jocelyn are fantastic and so gentle with our cats. Prices are always reasonable and they’re always able to fit us in when we need to be seen. Highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: We had an appointment with Diana Borcan and it was the best service ever! She is so professional, kind, attentive and caring with my dog that this visit was just a pure pleasure for me and my pet ❤️
Fantastic experience: Freindly very helpful at reception the vet saw both my budgies clipped nails checked them both explained what was wrong given medication even shown how to do seem to know what there doing to me shows this is a vets that puts the wellbeing of the animals fiirst I would highly recommend this vets if you want your pets to be seen looked after and cared for
Fantastic experience: Had to make an emergency appointment for my 7year old male cat, i only got him the day before, and Dr Choo and the staff were fantastic. Karl and I were treated so well and so kindly, we are now registered with Manor Vets. Keep up the good work, guys! Thank you so much for your dedication and care
Fantastic experience: Only been the once, today. 10/10 so far I am so amazed by the care and depth they’ve went into for my rabbit Thumper on day one. Blood tests off the bat/affordable options what give the same result/extensive testing. I’m hopeful the next lots of care my rabbit will receive will remain the same. I cannot recommend these enough so far
Fantastic experience: After my consultation at Manor vets with Ben I was extremely satisfied with how he listened to my concerns regarding Molly and his advice was spot on . After using this practice for many many years I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them .
Fantastic experience: I had an emergency vet appointment here for my leopard gecko, they managed to fit me in and get it sorted. I cannot describe the relief of having not only their caring staff handle thing for me but to treat my boy, who is now on the mend.
Fantastic experience: They are wonderful treating my rabbit Flopsy, I know he's in safe hands.
