Services
Vets Now Wolverhampton: Reviews
Fantastic experience: An efficient, caring and knowledgeable service from start to finish. Although my need for them was relatively minor, they sorted everything out wonderfully.
Hi Sarah, we really appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. Our team are all passionate about pets and their welfare. They’ll be thrilled to hear you were so happy with their service.
Fantastic experience: Very polite as soon as I walked in.
Hi Christine, thank you so much for sharing your experience. It means a lot to us.
Fantastic experience: They were absolutely amazing so kind and understanding thank you so much
Your message made our day, Nicola! We'll share this with the Vets Now Wolverhampton team; thank you for taking the time.
Fantastic experience: Can't thank vets for pets in wolverhampton enough me and my wife had to make a really hard decision a couple of weeks ago to have our much loved family dog put to sleep has she went off her back legs she was roughly 16 years of age we couldn't see her suffer no more we contacted vets for pets for advice they gave us a appointment and the vet looked her over and he told us what we already new we just needed a second opinion so me and my wife had no choice in what to do for the best for her we as a family was heart broken the vet promised us that he would look after her and that she would be Cromarted on her own so we could get her ashes back today we got the phone call to say she was back at the vets I went up to collect her and was presented with abit of her fair and paw prints and a lovely card from all the staff there so thank you for taking care of our little girl it is very much appreciated ❤️
Hi Carlton, we're so sorry for your loss. Thank you for letting us care for her when you needed us. Many of our team are all pet owners too, and we understand how hard this is. We’re keeping you and your family in our thoughts.
Fantastic experience: Took my 3 week old kitten that we are currently hand raised after finding her mom deceased, she was starting to fade and these vets saved her life. Can’t thank them enough for they’re help, with hard work and a lot of sleepless nights she’s now thriving, happy and content.
Hi Rebekah, thank you for your kind review. It was a pleasure to help your kitten and we're so pleased to hear she's doing much better now. We hope you have a great day!
Fantastic experience: They're very good when you get there, explain things well, are quick with providing care, but the prior phone call is difficult when your dog isn't well. You have to answer a few minutes of questions which just isn't streamlined enough when you're worried. That's the only part of the process I can complain about. Also, it's quite pricey.
Hi Dipesh, we really appreciate your kind words. We’re glad we could help you and your pet. If you’d like to see a breakdown of our costs, visit: https://www.vets-now.com/2018/01/emergency-vet-costs-prices-fees/.
Fantastic experience: I was able to get my cat into the vets in 30 minutes, they diagnosed and stabilised him, keeping him overnight, for my to collect in the morning and take to my vets. It’s not cheap, but the service was amazing, and that’s why we have insurance.
Hi Paul, we really appreciate your kind words. We’re glad we could help you and your cat. If you’d like to see a breakdown of our costs, visit: https://www.vets-now.com/2018/01/emergency-vet-costs-prices-fees/.
Positive experience: Had occasion to take 1 of my cats to the emergency vet at Wolverhampton. Staff were excellent and were quick to see my pet. Stayed in overnight and was discharged the next day. I have 2 criticisms however - one was the insurance process, I am computer literate so although it was a faff for me, for someone not so au fair with smart phones and the like it could be daunting. Secondly, the cost - it’s super expensive (not that I would skimp when it comes to the health of my cats) again, someone not insured or as financially secure as we are would ultimately only have the choice of euthanasia.
Hello Paula, we appreciate you letting us know about your concerns. We appreciate your feedback about costs. Transparency matters to us - here’s a detailed explainer of fees and what they cover: https://www.vets-now.com/2018/01/emergency-vet-costs-prices-fees/
Negative experience: ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING! Please AVOID at all COST!. 3 of my puppies died over 3 days due to parvovirus. I had to sit and watch them die feeling helpless and guilty because i didnt have the thousands being asked to treat them!. I spent all weekend rings RSPCA / Blue Cross / Dog Sanctuary's & Dogs Trust trying to help these puppies. Vets now could of treated them & saved their lives allowing me to pay after but they refused! The vet i spoke to didnt care, Just wanted to talk money. She even told me that without treatment they would die!.... How the hell do these people care about animals when they are letting them die??. Do not reply asking me to send my concerns to your practice for investigation because that isn't going to bring my puppies back! ITS TOO LATE i just want people to think twice before using your vets!
Hi Kate, we are so sorry for your loss. We understand that this won't bring your puppies back but we take any suggestion of substandard delivery of care to animals or their owners extremely seriously. We would like to look into this for you, so please email [email protected] with the Vets Now clinic you attended and your details, and we can assist further.
Negative experience: Communication poor, nurses, reception staff were amazing but the phone number they gave me to get updates through the night went through to a different branch and they had no clue what had happened said maybe tech issues with phone lines but that didnt help my anxiety! Not impressed. Glad to get contact with St Georges at 8.30am for an update. It was a long night!
Hi Deb, I'm sorry to hear this has been your experience with us. We’d like to look into this for you, so please contact [email protected], indicating which clinic you attended, your pet’s name and the first line of your home address, postcode and highlighting your concerns.
Negative experience: These vets do not care!. Took my 9 week old puppy here who had parvovirus to be treated (Friday Night) took from 12am - 4am to be tested and tell us how much treatment would cost. So the treatment was going to cost thousands and they would only offer credit upto £1000 which wouldnt be enough treatment. We practically begged that we could pay £500 per month just please treat him to be told "No". I said to the Vet "So as a Vet who are SUPPOSE to love & care for animals and can treat this puppy because we havent got the funds up front your willing to let him die?" She shrugged her shoulders. We left the vets 4am Saturday morning & puppy passed away Monday night ALL THANKS TO VETS NOW!. DO NOT send me your patronising replies of how to email my concern to "Blah Blah Blah" its too late!
Hi Beverley, we're so sorry to hear of your puppy's passing. We take any suggestion of substandard delivery of care to animals or their owners extremely seriously. All incidents are investigated thoroughly and any appropriate action necessary is taken. We would like to look into this for you, so please email [email protected] with the Vets Now clinic you attended and your details, so that we can assist further.
Positive experience: Good care of my dog but very expensive to charge £463 for injection and a bandage for a leg

Positive experience: My dog was having seizures so took her to emergency vets, they gave her recto diazapam, but struggling to get it, when I took my dog to my own vets next day they told me the diazapam I was given was no where near enough to help my dog with her seizure, I was a bit parked that I had been charged for medication that wouldn't help my dog anyway
Hi Caroline. Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. If you would like to discuss this further, please email us on [email protected] indicating which clinic you attended, your pets name and the first line of your home address highlighting your concerns. Take care.
Negative experience: Unhappy with charges for antibiotics , £19 from my vets nearly £40 from vets now .
Hi Sue Bills, I know it can be frustrating having to pay for an unplanned trip to the vets. Much like it is for other out-of-hours services in other industries, It's more expensive to run an out-of-hours pet emergency service than a general daytime practice. We've broken down where our costs go here if you'd like to find out more: https://bit.ly/2ybF2sc.
If you’d like to query your bill or speak to us about anything we’re here for you on [email protected].
Fantastic experience: Excellent care from your team at a really difficult time. Knowledgable vet, lovely staff and Chrissy was just wonderful, so caring and friendly especially as I had my baby with me and was in a bit of a state. A massive thank you to you all, I will be recommending and you’ll be our first port of call if we have an emergency again.
Hi Rhea, thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. We're glad that we could be there for you when you needed us the most. We will be sure to pass on your kind words to the team. Take care.
Positive experience: The service was friendly and helpful. My only criticism would be, we waited a long time, but would have liked an update. ( Understood it's a priority basis and that's fine and understood) - just to be updated would have been good
Hi, thanks for taking the time to share your experience with Vets Now. We hope you have a lovely day.
Negative experience: In my opinion, making money seems to be the No1 priority of this vets practice

Fantastic experience: I brought my cat, Willow, here after hours for an emergency appointment. The vets there were amazing with him, and despite having to have him put down, I would recommend them to everyone. After taking him to 2 other vets throughout the year, none of them were able to identify what was clearly wrong with him, which if found sooner, could have saved his life. The vets here, however, were quick to identify what was wrong, offer support and give solutions. I left with a nose and paw prints, as well as some fur, and they were very kind through the whole process.
Hi Kaitlyn, thanks for taking the time to share your experience with us at this difficult time, I’ll be sure to pass this to our team at Vets Now Wolverhampton
Fantastic experience: Brilliant experience when I needed an out of hours service. Great staff quick service
Hi Lisa, our team are all passionate about pets and their welfare. They’ll be thrilled to hear you were so happy with their service.
Fantastic experience: Fantastic service. Dealt with our dog as soon as the vet saw her and had follow up calls after we took her home. Also, didn't discharge her until they knew all was ok. Couldn't ask for a better service thank you
Hi Paula, our team are all passionate about pets and their welfare. They’ll be thrilled to hear you were so happy with their service.
Fantastic experience: Lovely service will really rate the vet who helped our little girl over Christmas ❤️
Hi there, thank you for your great review, I'll make sure we share this with the team in Vets Now Wolverhampton.
Fantastic experience: We have used this emergency vet’s service on two occasions (two different pets) and have found them to provide excellent medical care, with friendly and professional staff.
Hi Mary, our team are all passionate about pets and their welfare. They’ll be thrilled to hear you were so happy with their service.
Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing and efficient service after our dog had eaten an entire box of Lindt Chocolates. Thank you so much for all your care, we couldn't be more grateful
Hi Kathryn, we work hard to ensure every client’s experience is second-to-none and we’re glad to hear you found this to be the case.
Fantastic experience: Emergency appointment was needed for dog on Boxing Day. Service provided by all staff was excellent and examination by vet was comprehensive and detailed with prescribed medicine given to initiate treatment. Absolutely first class all round and much appreciated. Highly recommended.
Hi Doug, thanks so much for your positive feedback. We really appreciate it. It’s a pleasure to have helped you and your pet. Have a great day.
Fantastic experience: Vets now, were really fast and professional. Excellent service and very knowledgeable
Hi Jane, thanks so much for your positive feedback. We really appreciate it. It’s a pleasure to have helped you and your pet. Have a great day.
Negative experience: I paid £435 for an emergency visit where the vet only examined my dog and prescribed medication. No tests, X-rays, or procedures were carried out. I understand that this was an emergency visit and a public holiday, but the price is completely disproportionate to the level of care provided. I am very disappointed and would not recommend this clinic if there is an alternative.

Negative experience: A stray cat turned up at my house, it was clearly in no fit state to be outside and was showing clear signs of antifreeze poisoning. My partner took the cat to the vets yet the vet claimed the cat looked fine and to let it back out. They also claimed the cats microchip was registered in the street it was found in, it wasn't. My partner brought the cat home and kept the poor girl warm until a rescue turned up to take her. Unfortunately the stray cat didn't make it and the vets didn't even bother to contact the owner at the point of arrival when it was taken there originally. Due to the sheer amount of neglect from the vet on duty this cat suffered for 12 hours when this could've quite easily have been prevented but no because it's a stray and not a paying customer they didn't care less. The vet has a duty of care, which has been abused in this case and I sincerely hope she receives some for of reproductions from this. We also have a picture of the cat before it was taken to the vets and every person that has been shown this agreed the cat doesn't look well at all!
Hi Katie, I'm really sorry to hear about your experience with us. Should you wish to

Negative experience: Dont use!! Only interested in money!! Someone took a cat they found in there and you could see it needed help but they told the people to put it back where they found it as they couldnt contact the owners(the cat was in a bad way/ disorientedand looked drugged). luckily a cat rescue stepped up, they managed to contact the owners but the cat still passed away within 12 hours!! Despite the rescue doing all it can!!! This vets should be ashamed of itself and the vet!!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant…… really put my mind at rest and couldn’t have been seen any quicker
Hi Clare, we appreciate your feedback. We’re glad we could help you and your pet. Have a lovely day.
Fantastic experience: Honestly couldn't have asked for a better team to look after my pet and they made everything so easy for me, better than my normal vet I go to in the day! If only they operated 24 hours, i would be with them directly! AMAZING!
Hi Nathan, thanks so much for your positive feedback. We really appreciate it. It’s a pleasure to have helped you and your pet. Have a great day.
Fantastic experience: Staff is absolutely amazing, went there to sadly say bye to my hampster, the staff were very nice and peicent with me, i recomend this vet 100%
Hi Anna, thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. Whilst we’re so sorry for your loss, we’re glad our team were there to help during a difficult time.

Fantastic experience: The staff we're kind and caring and understood and helpful with any concerns we had with regards to the care of our pet and the costs incurred for his care. Good service.
Hi Lisa, thanks so much for your positive feedback. We really appreciate it. It’s a pleasure to have helped you and your pet. Have a great day.
Negative experience: I have been with St George's in Wolverhampton for 30 years nearly and now the emergency services is outsourced to Vets Now I am removing all 8 animals, charging £800 for overnight stay is unjustified when its not intensive care, Black's Vets do not outsource and they average at £200 a night which is what St George's used to be, Vets Now is only interested in getting rich by making people get severely into debt because most insurance's won't pay hospital overnight fees that high so I advise people to ensure your Vets don't outsource emergency services if they do move your babies to a vet that do not outsource you will get the same care but it will be thousands of pounds cheaper if your baby gets ill. Carmel vets in Wolverhampton outsource to Vets Now move your babies to another vets Update Hope is now walking again still weak on back left leg but massive improvement, Black's Vets was amazing, they agreed with me that best place for her was at home with me not in a hospital, took her off 2 out of 3 meds that St George's gave me because she was over medicated and would not be good for her, goes back 22nd December for check up, based on what I have seen this morning with her walking she will make a full recovery, I don't blame the actual vets at St George's because I think they are getting pressured to give out excessive meds and telling clients they need to do stuff that is not needed so the corporation that owns them can get richer quicker, disgusting behaviour, animals are like humans they feel the only difference is they can't talk so its easier for these corporations to take advantage of this when they get ill because we have to trust what a vet tells you, all my babies are now registered at Black's Vets in Sedgley and will be staying there
Hi Maria, I am sorry to hear that you are unhappy after your recent visit to Vets Now. If you would like us to look into any aspect of your visit then please contact us at [email protected]
Fantastic experience: When we took our beloved Frenchie we were terrified we were going to lose her. From the moment we met the vet we were reassured she was in good hands. Throughout the treatment the communication was excellent and the reassurance and sensitivity from the reception team to the vets was outstanding. Our baby is almost back to her usual self and we cannot express how grateful we are. Thankyou so much ❤️
Hi Sandra, thanks so much for this fantastic feedback, it’s great to hear our team were able to help and that your pet is doing well.
Positive experience: The vet didn't give Geoff any anti inflammatory meds so we ended up going back again, resulting in another £150 which on top of the £900 for out of hours treatment doesn't sit well with me. The St Georges vet we saw on the Friday was surprised no meds had been given...

Hi Jacob, we really appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. We’re glad we could help you and your dog.
Fantastic experience: Went here last night after my sons cat was unwell and vomiting after it was discharged from st Georges Vets. Called up got appointment at vets now when got there Receptionist sneeta she was star and assured me that my sons cat would be ok I was chatting to her while they checked him over sneeta was so helpful. Check up was done and nurse called me into the room and explained to me even if we do CPR its not guaranteed he will make it through in the pain he was in but unfortunately the last option was to put him to sleep and rest.. u can't fault these vets. They tried there best sparky we miss you

Fantastic experience: I had to take my cat Bert to the out of hours vets as he had become ill just as I returned from holiday/ I rang & spoke to a lady who gave me the details of how to get there & was very helpful - I arrived & once in was seen to straight away & then waited for about 10 mins - the vet who’s name escapes me sorry was lovely - kind & gentle with Bert explained what could be wrong & sadly it was agreed that Bert had to be helped over the rainbow bridge- it was my decision & the whole experience was as good as you can expect- he went out relaxed & in my arms - all the staff were all so kind & after I was given paw prints & nose print’s, some fur & forget me not seeds - a sad time treated with empathy & care - thank you all - I collected Bert’s ashes today & again kindness & understanding through the whole process - bless you all
Hi Christine, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We’re all animal lovers at Vets Now and understand how hard the loss of a pet can be. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time. Take care.

Hi Sally, we really appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. Our team are all passionate about pets and their welfare. They’ll be thrilled to hear you were so happy with their service.
Positive experience: Rang Vets Now yesterday as I was concerned about my little dog, he previously had an ear infection around 5 weeks ago, and was displaying the same symptoms again, his balance had completely gone & was visibly in a lot of discomfort. We arrived within half an hour, but had to wait around an hour to be seen, which was expected as the surgery was very busy. The reception staff were really, really lovely, and very helpful. We were then seen by the vet, with no real diagnosis- just going off the fact it may be a relapsed ear infection from his previous symptoms. All of this vital signs were fine, but nothing else could really be done, there was no odour, wax or redness, so a little concerned if the infection is much deeper, or being caused by something else, steroids were given - and advised to book in with our own vets on Monday. A little disappointing given the cost of the appointment- with no real diagnosis or certainty. To then be advised to go to my own vets to see what is actually wrong, I felt a little bit fobbed off. Vet experience was great, but other members of staff were really lovely. Especially Lance - sorry I think I’ve got that right. He’s a credit to your practice.

Fantastic experience: Brought our terrier in as an emergency after hours, believing her to have all the symptoms of a stroke. Very caring approach. The vet, Gorka, was excellent and informative. His advice in a very stressful situation was calm and well explained. The people on the desk explained charges clearly and helped with insurance forms. Treatment for a nasty ear infection has been effective and our dog is thankfully on the mend.
Hi Michelle, thanks so much for your lovely feedback, it’s great to hear our team were able to help and that your pet is doing well.
Negative experience: I attended this clinic last night around 11pm for an emergency appointment after my dog developed a swelling at her spay site. I had researched the symptoms and suspected it was a seroma or haematoma — I even double-checked my understanding online and via an AI chat assistant. On examination, the vet performed an ultrasound and advised that he believed it was a hernia. I showed photos taken just an hour apart that demonstrated the swelling had grown rapidly, which didn’t seem consistent with a hernia, but this concern wasn’t really addressed. I explained my concerns to the vet aboout the poor reviews on google and that im very anxious a hernia is a misdiagnosis. He said nobody told me to go there (not in rude way) and directed me to another clinic. The cost was c£350, received no treatment or medication, and was sent home. Within a short time, the swelling worsened further and began leaking clear fluid. My regular vet has now confirmed it is not a hernia, and is indeed a seroma/haematoma, which is now being treated. I understand emergencies can be difficult to assess, but I was disappointed that such an expensive visit resulted in what appears to have been a misdiagnosis and very limited explanation or follow-up advice. I will be raising a complaint. Better communication and consideration of the evidence presented would have made a stressful situation much easier.

Negative experience: Shame on you for leaving a dog to suffer saying our stormi was ok, when she clearly wasn't good job her parents new something wasn't right and took her to the vets this afternoon where she was sent to Birmingham to have her operation which save her life. Shame on you disgusting service and only cared about the money.

Negative experience: I’m deeply disappointed with the care my dog received at this emergency vets. We brought her in at 2 a.m. on Sunday, unable to move her back legs and yelping in pain to find our she has IVDD. We were told that all she needs is crate rest and not to contact our regular vet on Monday cause we didint need to do this — just to keep her in a crate. If we had followed that advice, we could have lost her. Thankfully, our own vet at White Cross referred us urgently to Blaise Veterinary hospital Birmingham, where she underwent life-saving surgery. What made the experience even worse was that when I asked questions about the prescribed medication, the vet insisted on taking payment before answering. This felt insensitive and unprofessional, especially in an emergency situation. I’m so grateful our dog is still with us, but I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through what we did.

Positive experience: Took my cat to the out of hours vet as he was acting odd by constantly going into his tray, straining and not being able to poo. He wasn’t eating properly either. So naturally I was worried. Told them everything. They took him away to examine him. I was told that two teeth need to be removed, which I knew. They said his bladder feels empty which is ok. Didn’t mention that he had poo in his bowels, which later at his own vets turned out to be slightly constipated due to him not eating or drinking properly due to his teeth hurting him. £378 the bill for what exactly. Took him to his own vet the next day for bloods to be taken to show that he’s dehydrated (which the out of hours vets said nothing about) and that he’s anemic. You can see by grabbing his skin that he’s dehydrated. The out of hours vet asked me “ so what do you want me to do for him”. You’re the vet so you should know. Nice staff but I came to you because I was worried about my cat, even thinking he might not make it through the night, so I thought a bit more help might have been given. Never mind, he’s now being sorted by his own vet

Negative experience: Vet was okay. Fees not explained properly either over the phone beforehand or at the clinic before consult. Awful obnoxious and rude reception staff, extortionate fees and simply praying on the vulnerable, who they know will pay because they love their pets!

Fantastic experience: Great service at vets now, via the St George's Wolverhampton site. They helped us when we were so worried and with the insurance claim too
Hi Jane, thank you for taking the time to leave a 5 star rating, we appreciate it.
Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing service cant thank them enough my dog is very nervous and they dealt with him without any issues and was extremely thorough excellent service would highly recommend
Hi Lee, thanks so much for your positive feedback. We really appreciate it.
Fantastic experience: Thank you so much to Lance at Vets Now for being so kind and patient with us when we bought in our dog to have an emergency assessment of her eye. He was so helpful and a pleasure to deal with in a stressful time. Thank you Lance!
Hi Natalie, our team are all passionate about pets and their welfare. They’ll be thrilled to hear you were so happy with their service.
Fantastic experience: The lady on reception was so friendly, sympathetic and so helpful. The vet was also very helpful and gave Archie a thorough check putting us at ease. We were seen within the hour. Highly recommend Vets Now, would defiantly use them again. Thank you Martyn, Louis and our dog Archie
Hi Martyn, we really appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. Our team are all passionate about pets and their welfare. They’ll be thrilled to hear you were so happy with their service.
Negative experience: Please do not allow any of your pets into the care of this vet practices. They over charge massively and deliver very poor care with vets that do not speak English !!! I lodged a complaint July 12th and still not had any answers , you would think when they have killed my dog which could have been avoidable they would at least have the respect to answer your complaint , each time you email them them send out an automatic reply . I now have told them I will be going to the state veterinary complaints .. I have 2 other dogs that will go to the Willows practice who are experienced and charge a more appropriate rate .. PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW YOUR PETS TO GO TO THUS PRACTICE
Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we are very sorry to hear about your experience and your loss. We understand your concerns are currently with our complaints team who do endeavour to respond to all complaints within 35 working days. Our complaints team will be reaching out to you shortly on this matter.
Fantastic experience: Had a wonderful experience with Vets Now Practice. The team were friendly, professional, and so gentle with my cat, Oreo. Everything was explained clearly and I felt reassured throughout. Highly recommend!
Hi Susan, thank you; we appreciate your feedback!
Fantastic experience: I had to take my cat with what I thought was just a poorly paw, sadly this wasn't the case, it was a blood clot with heart problems and totally and utterly unexpected at having to have him put to sleep, as you can imagine I was totally devastated but each step of the way the vet was clear with her diagnosis and answered all questions. All staff showed compassion and understanding, all communication before and after my visit was clear they truly do seem to care . Thank you for caring ❤️
Hi Pat, thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. Whilst we’re so sorry for your loss, we’re glad our team were there to help during a difficult time.
Positive experience: My cat’s condition suddenly worsened after a previous vet visit — he stopped eating and drinking. Vets Now Wolverhampton gave urgent treatment that saved his life. Although the cost is on the higher side, I’m very grateful. Special thanks to Caroline, who was friendly, caring and made the right assessment, referring us quickly to a specialist. The whole team was calm, supportive and reassuring in an emergency.

Negative experience: This vets are rely bad my experience this time and last time were awful the vets can't speak English at all the first time I came away with a £700 bill that was not explained in full the vets admitted there fault this time the vet gave my dog rocks a bit off treatment the because I didn't have £2000 the vet asked me to leave with a dog nearly dead I said my dog would die at home she didn't care at all I do not rate the vets in Wolverhampton at all sorry

Fantastic experience: Called and explained the situation of my cat being lost and when found she'd hurt her toe. Call handler was lovely and booked us in straight away No wait time, friendly staff. Did everything to make my little one comfortable. Pricey but we will do anything for our furry babies
Hi Malina, thanks for your review. We're glad we were there for you when you needed us. We hope you have a lovely day.
Fantastic experience: VetsNow were so friendly and helpful, the OOH vet lady we saw did everything to help, unfortunately we didn’t know the extent of how serious Mia’s situation was, she needed emergency surgery to remove her womb and she passed away the day after visiting
Hi Sophie, I'm so sorry for your loss, we all know how hard it is to lose a member of the family. Our thoughts are with you all.
Fantastic experience: Used this vets for an emergency visit with my dog. They were very courteous whilst on the phone taking information about the illness my dog was experiencing, they were very reassuring and provided by text their address. Upon arrival we were greeted by staff who were very polite, professional and caring. We met the vet who ran through the history of my dog, the symptoms she was experiencing and gave her a very thorough examination. Clear explanation was provided and how we care for her going forward. Although she was quite poorly and very lethargic, I was reassured by the vet, the diagnosis and care plan. As it was an emergency and my usual vets were closed and directed us to this practice, because we had insurance a fee was payable at the time, a direct Insurance claim was sent to the insurance company (something my usual vets doesn't do). I would definitely recommend Vets Now Wolverhampton for their prompt, kind, caring and thorough experience we received. 5 stars
Hi Maria, thanks for sharing your feedback. I’m so pleased our team could be there for you when you needed us most.
Negative experience: What an absolute shame that the once iconic Chambers Franklin and Riley has been sold out to St George’s and even more so Vets Now emergency cover. Gone is the professional knowledgeable animal loving humans … to money making greed of a conglomerate Our beloved girl was in pain and distress and was twice sent home before we contacted another vet who took time to understand and successfully treat. The super vet we found charged a fraction of the robbing dogs (excuse the phrase)

Fantastic experience: Really helped with good advice and excellent service regarding an injured wild bird. The vets advised to box the bird and bring it straight to the hospital.. at least we know whatever the outcome they gave the little one a chance
Hi Adele, we appreciate all reviews and thank you for leaving a 5 star rating.
Negative experience: The blonde lady with tattoos and glasses at the desk was incredibly rude, we came in as my cat had passed away and we were unsure of cremation or burial. When we asked questions about cremation she disregarded them and was practically staring daggers at us, when we decided to bury she wasted no time grabbing my cat off the table, this lady was very insensitive especially during this difficult time for myself and my family.

Fantastic experience: Took my cat to emergency Vets Now surgery, he looked better on leaving the surgery than when I took him in! Excellent service from the out of hours vet, reception staff very helpful. So glad I decided to take him straight away as after treatment, he was calm and in less pain owing to meds and pain relief. Overall, excellent service.
Hi Jackie, we really appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. Our team are all passionate about pets and their welfare. They’ll be thrilled to hear you were so happy with their service.
Negative experience: Not very happy at all I brought my bunny in with suspected bot fly strike, the vets confirmed that this wasn’t fly strike it was just a burst abscess. I wasn’t given any treatment or antibiotics or anything I was sent home after being told I could just leave her and she will heal fine (baring in mind at this point she has a big hole in her back) I got home at 2am, by 9am she had a 2nd and 3rd hole appear. I have now had to spend a lot more money at my own vets to get her sorted out I think charging £315 is disgusting when I was in there 5 minutes and told to go home she will be fine. Not happy in the slightest My poor bunny was in so much pain and I was told to leave her

Fantastic experience: I had to take my dog to the surgery on Thursday evening after hours , the staff at reception were polite and compassionate , has I was very upset regarding my dog, I didnt wait long before the vet called me through, she again was very polite and compassionate and really through with the examination and explaining what she was going to do . I was given medication, that really helped with his condition, and left the surgery feeling confident that my dog had received the best care . Thank you both Lorraine Porter-stone
Hi Lorraine, thanks for sharing your feedback. I’m so pleased our team could be there for you when you needed us most.
Fantastic experience: Very quick appointment offered. Good level of care and my dog had lots of reassurance during his procedure.
Hi Pippa, many thanks for your positive feedback. We hope you have a good day.
Fantastic experience: Excellent service..my cat was looked after and received relevant treatment.
Hi Linda, thanks so much for your positive feedback. We really appreciate it. It’s a pleasure to have helped you and your pet. Have a great day.
Fantastic experience: Very good quick service when we thought something was very wrong with our dog! Excellent and good to know they are there 24 hours!
Hi David, we’re happy we could be there for you and your pet when you needed us.
Negative experience: We had our beloved Labradoodle put to sleep on 1st June they said it would take two weeks for his ashes to come back i was still waiting today two and a half weeks later with no word so I rang today to find out what is going on they said they would get some one to ring me tonight, I've just had a phone call to say Billy's ashes have been there waiting since the 9th of June no one has bothered to ring or email me so I've been getting more and more upset not knowing what was going on !!! I even rang on 13th June and was basically told they will ring you when they are back but know I find out they were there when I rang that day !!! No one could be bothered to go and find out I'm absolutely fuming and disgusted how you can be treated like this at such a very difficult time when you need the support the most .I tried to give no star rating but it wouldn't let me.
Hi Vanessa, we’re sorry you’re not happy with the service you received at Vets Now. We understand how painful it is to lose a pet, and we hope you’re okay during this difficult time.

Fantastic experience: The vet and nurse that I saw were excellent. She was gentle and caring with my dog, knowledgeable and very supportive of owner too. This was a visit to Vets Now out of hours 7pm on Sunday 8th June 2025z
Hi Diane, we really appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. Our team are all passionate about pets and their welfare. They’ll be thrilled to hear you were so happy with their service.
Fantastic experience: My very poorly dog was admitted early Sunday morning. He was there until Monday morning. The vets during his stay kept me up to date with his care and treatment and I could phone them at any time for an update on his condition. Monday morning he was transferred to my vets during the day then back to vets now for an overnight stay. He was discharged by them on Tuesday morning. During both of his stays both him and me were treated with kindness and compassionate. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend these vets. Thank you from my boy and me xx
Hi Lynda, we really appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. Our team are all passionate about pets and their welfare. They’ll be thrilled to hear you were so happy with their service.
Negative experience: These vets do not care about your pet, only about the size of your wallet. My dog was not diagnosed properly for a price of £560 for anti sickness and a dumb blood test that revealed nothing. I lost my boy the following day all because they wouldn’t listen to my concerns about his health they were just concerned about my finances. Awful people don’t bother going unless you’re made of money
Hi Brendon, thanks for sharing your experience at Vets Now Wolverhampton pet emergency service. Fantastic experience: Couldn’t recommend anything better. My dog was struggling in labor, and vets now took all the care in the world to make her comfortable and to give us the best options we had. She ended up have a caesarean, lots of updates from the vets, although we lost two. Vets now did everything in their power to try and resus. Highly recommended and I cannot thank the team enough, especially the lady Grace who was with us every step of the way. We now have 3 beautiful healthy puppies and we couldn’t have done it without them❤️
Hi Zoe, we work hard to ensure every client’s experience is second-to-none and we’re glad to hear you found this to be the case.
Positive experience: Whilst the vet was very good to our very ill dog, the costs were in our opinion extortionate for no more than iv with fluids overnight nearly £1000. 8 hrs of care. Its a service where peoples loves for there pets are taken advantage of. which is disgusting.
Hi Carol, we really appreciate your kind words. We’re glad we could help you and your pet. If you’d like to see a breakdown of our costs, visit: https://www.vets-now.com/2018/01/emergency-vet-costs-prices-fees/.
Positive experience: Had to take my elderly cat for an emergency appointment on a Sunday afternoon recently. The staff are great and she had a good check over with the vet but the cost just for the consultation is VERY expensive, she needed to be seen so we chose to take her.

Fantastic experience: Very efficient service. Waiting times minimal. Veterinary care was excellent. Everything was explained clearly. I would highly recommend them.
Hi, we work hard to ensure every client’s experience is second-to-none and we’re glad to hear you found this to be the case.
Fantastic experience: I took my dog to VetsNow, as they are the out of hours service for our regular vets. I called their out of hours number after my dog suffered a sudden, violent and extended bout of sickness with no known cause. I called the out of hours number and spoke to a call operator who was calm, polite and sympathetic. He arranged for me to attend the out of hours surgery in Wolverhampton. On arrival at 11pm, the practice was very quiet and we were seen immediately by the vet. He laid out the available options for treatment. Since my dog appeared to have improved a little on arrival, I opted for an injection of anti-sickness medication and would monitor him closely. The receptionist was friendly and attentive and explained everything fully regarding payment for the consultation and how to make a claim on our pet Insurance. Over all we were in and out in less than 15 minutes. I feel reassured that we would still receive great out of hours vet service in the future if our dogs health needs were more serious next time.
Hi Rachel, I’m so happy we could be there for you and that we were able to help your pet. Have a lovely day.
Negative experience: Absolutely awful would avoid at all costs!!! Took my 9 year old pitbull in she was poorly been sick of her food looks in pain and discomfort I explained to them just 10 weeks before I had lost my frenchie to cancer and these symptoms was nearly the same to be told it was a sickness bug took her temperature and gave her a anti sickness meds to be told if not happy in 3 days get her checked again they never even checked her over properly walking in and out the room to go see other pets as other staff was calling them out got her checked few days later to be told by different practice if she had been checked properly they would have known possibility of cancer my dog passed away within a week of all this all because there incompetent all rushy but charging nearly 500quid ! And when made complaints against them they disregard it like they done there jobs properly they have not heard the end of this!!!!

Fantastic experience: My dog was in a lot of discomfort. The vet dealt with her in a kind and sympathetic way. Although she was on pain relief for a further 3 days, thankfully she is now much happier. I am very grateful for the help vets now provided.
Hi Lynne, thanks so much for your lovely feedback, it’s great to hear our team were able to help and that your pet is doing well.
Fantastic experience: The vets were great and looked after Nancy really well. She had to stay in for 3 nights in total plus a couple of emergency appointments when her feeding tube became infected. She's on the road to recovery now and would like to thank all at Vets Now and St George's, who looked after her during the day.
Hi Linda, thanks so much for your lovely feedback, it’s great to hear our team were able to help and that your pet is doing well.
Fantastic experience: Lovely vets. Had to take my cat here for emergency treatment, he had to be put to sleep and the staff showed such compassion, they offered a paw print a fur cutting and a nose print to remember my fur baby. R.I.P Tofu
Hi Mary Ann, thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. Whilst we’re so sorry for your loss, we’re glad our team were there to help during a difficult time. Take care.
Fantastic experience: A excellent out of hours vets. All the staff are very polite, helpful and friendly. The vet explained things to us in a way we could understand. They kept our kitten over night but the vet contacted us to keep us updated on her progress. We can not thank this vets enough for saving her life.
Hi Michelle Moore , we appreciate all reviews and thank you for leaving a 5 star rating.
Negative experience: The whole experience was very traumatic. Paid £450 for consultation, blood test and two injections. Then said wouldn't operate, to go to Birmingham and pay £4000 which I didn't have. Offered to put my dog to sleep. I took her home waited untill 9am for my vets to open. They successfully operated on her for £790. She is now at home doing really well, thankfully

Negative experience: AVOID AT ALL COSTS Took my pet in because he was sick with high temperature, the vet looked at him for less than 5 minutes while I was not in the examination room. Then concluded that he was fine, despite me not agreeing. Then promptly charged me £300 pounds for a less than 5 minutes of unsatisfactory consultation. I got the impression that the vet was in a hurry for me to go. Then sure enough, my pet was still sick the day after, which is less than 24 hours later, and had to be treated for an infection. I complained, but even though the complaints procedure seems thorough, but it is just a box ticking exercise where they will refuse to admit they have done anything wrong no matter what you say. Complete waste of time and shocked by the service that we received.
Hi Olivia, we are disappointed to see your low star rating. If you could provide us with more information, we can review your case and gain a better understanding of your experience. Please contact us at [email protected]
Fantastic experience: Excellent response. Only had to wait for a few minutes .The lady vet I saw was very thorough and gentle with my Lab Baron and gave me a comprehensive breakdown regarding his problem and what the future course of action should be. Many Thanks.
Hi Norman, I’m so happy we could be there for you and that we were able to help your pet.
Fantastic experience: Brilliant service. I rang at night and gave details of my dog's symptoms and they told me where to take her and sent directions. On arrival the staff were expecting us and were so very kind and caring. She was immediately triaged, saw a vet quickly who was gentle with her and listened to everything I said. She gave me treatment options and clear prices. They gave the required treatment and advice and next morning emailed a detailed breakdown of costs and treatment given which I could show my usual vet. Can't fault it.
Hi Jo, it’s great to hear you had a good experience at our pet emergency service. Thank you for your kind words. Have a good day
Negative experience: Staff were friendly, particularly lance, however my dog left with a significant infection in his foot. I was not called at times I was told I would be. Also the process of bringing my dog in and the amount of information that was needed to be shared, when he had been seenthat day by St georges staff, was a waste of valuable time as my dog was so poorly. My dog is still suffering with the infected paw he left with that went unnoticed and unmentioned by the vet on discharge. I had needed to seek additional vet care for the infection that progressed and again led to my poor dog becoming very unwell.

Fantastic experience: My two greyhounds were attacked by a badger in my garden and were very badly hurt. Vets Now were amazing, they rushed them straight through and the way they immediately helped my dogs was truly fantastic. The staff constantly kept me up to date with what was going on and what needed to be done, they were so lovely in what was a traumatic experience. I honestly cannot thank all of the staff enough for looking after my dogs.
Hi Sarah, we work hard to ensure every client’s experience is second-to-none and we’re glad to hear you found this to be the case.
Positive experience: Our dog was critically ill and the whole process of getting in touch and arriving at the clinic was straight forward but that’s where the disappointment started, I underestimated how expensive emergency vet care would be but basically for 15 minutes while our dog was critically ill the vet was saying they wouldn’t treat him unless the money was paid their and then. We got the money together £600 (half of the bill) but it was 1:20am and our dog was literally dying in our arms. They eventually took him back as he was having his second fit and stabilised him but I’m not sure how much damage has been done to our dog neurologically because of the wait. I understand they are a business and have to cover their costs but it felt so callous and un caring. We got him back the next day for our vet to continue treating him but had another £550 to pay. The vet phoned us as promised throughout the night with updates and we had to be there before 8:30am in the morning as this is when the surgery closes ! They provided all of his care notes and blood results which our vet said was very helpful.

Negative experience: Took my cat there yesterday to be told they Can’t look in her mouth she was dribbling in pain. Gave her injection and two lots of pain killers in there 10 mins got charged £411 disgrace

Negative experience: No follow up info sent to my registered vet. Prices need to be controlled, it’s not acceptable to charge 400 for a 10 min consultation. Raised with staff that they hadn’t added my registered vet to details and was advised they couldn’t alter it and would leave it for reception staff on Monday ! I have been informed by my registered vet that they have received no handover A lot of money to pay for a lack of continuity.

Fantastic experience: Vets now were exceptional, the person on reception was friendly. The vet are saw was reassuring, kind and very knowledgable. I really feel they did the best for my dog and she has recovered so well. They explained everything well and explained the costs and insurance claim clearly. The only think I would suggest is that perhaps it needs a refurb. But this has absolutely no effect on the care and kindness given and shown.
Hi Sarah, thanks so much for your lovely feedback, it’s great to hear our team were able to help and that your pet is doing well.
Positive experience: I appreciate what you did for my cat 100% in every way but I can't help but say that the consultation fees are astronomical in 3 days I've had to fork out nearly £1700 I can't see why fees have to go to £300 plus just to see an animal it just is unbelievable otherwise I can't fault the care
Hi William, I know it can be frustrating having to pay for an unplanned trip to the vets. Much like it is for other out-of-hours services in other industries, It's more expensive to run an out-of-hours pet emergency service than a general daytime practice. We've broken down where our costs go here if you'd like to find out more: https://www.vets-now.com/2018/01/emergency-vet-costs-prices-fees/. If you’d like to query your bill or speak to us about anything, please don’t hesitate to contact [email protected], indicating which clinic you attended, your pet’s name, the first line of your home address and your reason for getting in touch.
Fantastic experience: I brought my Ragdoll cat in for breathing issues and suspected asthma attack and the wait time was super quick, on top of that the staff were lovely and super efficient as well as letting me know the most cost efficient ways and how to help best. Then i brought him back a day later and they instantly took him in and helped great. I asked for a call back from vets as he was wheezing again and breathing through his stomach which was concerning and the vet offered great advice and did a follow up call too. Amazing staff and practice, highly recommend for emergencies!
Hi Humaira, thank you for taking the time to leave a 5 star rating, we appreciate it.
Positive experience: Took my cat to out of care hours on Sat 4th Jan. Good instructions on the phone & was fairly quiet so cat looked at fairly quickly. Kept us updated with what they were doing at the time & always asked first before proceeding even though some of it was little sketchy in terms of vetinary jargun & they seemed a little oblivious as to what was wrong with the cat so no idea if what they did was really needed or not. However was advised notes would be sent to our vets & we paid £200 excess fee & rest they will directly contact my insurance for the remainder fee. I was a little disappointed the notes of what they had done weren't also emailed to us so as to understand a little more clearly as to the whole process. It would be nice if a quick notification could be sent to us once they have contacted the insurance so as piece of mind all is in hand as well as confirmation that notes had been sent to our vets. Looks like I will have to contact both to check but overall pretty good.
