Fantastic experience: Can’t fault them. I was with them for years with my two golden retrievers. One of them is very anxious and the vets put so much time into her with little socialisations in the rooms etc. Only changed as I’ve relocated else I’d still be with them!

Positive experience: I have been going to Connaught Vet's for many years. You hardly ever see the same vet twice. I guess they are all just qualified and it's their first job. They seem to move on. The staff are very pleasant. When I was upset over my cat being put to sleep they were very kind and sent a card and some Forget-me-not seeds.

Fantastic experience: Ive had cats all my life and ive just had the best experience i couldve wished for with Marta. One of my cats gets extremely distressed with appointments and can get vicious when she’s anxious. Upon todays appointment I was so nervous but Marta was incredible. She really took the time to calm Peach, let her know she was safe, fed her and fussed her, not at all rushing. She managed to give her the injection without a flinch and even was able to give her a full health check, what other vets had previously declined doing due to Peach becoming aggressive. Not a single scratch or tear from me either during the whole appointment. Thank you Marta.

Fantastic experience: We have had our last 5 dogs treated by the various vets from Mr Taylor and all his subsequent partners and vets down. We have just allowed our dog to be operated on for the second time for cruciate ligament tears. We trust Connuaght completely that I think says enough.

Negative experience: Some great vets, but very unfortunate that money comes before the pets health. Doesn’t address problems during appointments, always makes future ones. Asked for some supplements for the pet during a visit, got told to book a separate appointment to order it. Frustrating going back and forward, paying hundreds of pounds for one issue to be addressed . Unfortunately had the same experience a fair few times.

Negative experience: They waste your money, they will do every single expensive test first to fleece you, before doing the one they should have just done right at the very begining. Avoid. Oh and they will repeatedly get things wrong, forget to do what they promised and charged you, and 50% of thr time won't call you with results, you will have to chase them. And when you dare challenge them over their rubbish service they get snotty with you. Avoid like the plague. And if that wasn't enough they simply choose to ignore symptoms that don't fit with the what they want to test and charge you for. You ask what aboit these symptoms though, their incompetent answer "probably not related" and they say that becasue basically the symptoms are inconvient and not related to the test they want to fleece you for, but on planet earth anyone who isn't trying to rip you off would agree the symptoms are related to the pets illness. But in the land of connaught vets it's let's do some tests, money please, let's do more tests, money please. How about looking at the symptoms and doing the correct tests.

Fantastic experience: I've been with this veterinary hospital for over 20 years, but recently had the opportunity to compare them with an alternative, and it was an eye opener... One of my 3 cats had a dental procedure there about 18 months ago and, because my 4 year old was in tow, they did a themed certificate for the cat for being "so good". The theme was something my son was/is obsessed about-it was lovely. Everything was great and the post op care was amazing. Then a few months later, one of the other cats started suffering with her teeth. Took her to connaughts straight away and they operated, but she struggled with her recovery and started suffering pain again shortly afterwards. After taking her back to connaughts and having a second surgery recommended without much investigation, I became suspicious (there was quite a lot of 'trashing' of vets happening in the media at the time). I took her to another vets for a follow up surgery and, without going into detail, it was horrible. I brought my poor kitty back to connaughts for a third surgery, which the vet HEAVILY discounted for me, given the circumstances, and she is doing amazing. Will, the surgeon, was so detailed in his explanation of what had happened and how it was missed, I couldn't be more satisfied. I'll never go anywhere else again!!!

Fantastic experience: Really thorough and informative consultations. Have really put our minds at ease over our cat being diagnosed with diabetes and the care we need to give her. Would recommend.

Fantastic experience: Today 01/05/2024 my mom had to say a sad goodbye to her dog Marley. We had excellent service from Will the vet and the nurse that came on the call out with him. Sadly Marley passed away just before they arrived. Also I would like to say a very big thank you to Bethany for all your help .

Fantastic experience: Would definitely recommend Connaughts Vets on the Tettenhall road. My dog is very wary and needed to be seen for treatment for a nasty skin infection. He wouldn't get out of the car as he was in a lot of pain and the staff came out to help and were very kind to him and helped me get him into the vets. His treatment was excellent and the vet, Julie, and her colleagues were all very caring and helpful. Prior to this recent visit, I'd been taking my dog into Connaughts Vets for socialisation and had always been made to feel very welcome. Great service throughout thank you, Katie

Fantastic experience: I would like to thank all the staff at Connaught House Veterinary Hospital for their care and kindness whilst my cat Arnie stayed there for three days. Arnie became extremely unwell with an infection, during his time he has undergone all relevant procedures to help get him back on his feet, and we could not be happier to have him home. They called me twice a day to keep me updated and, even though they were busy with emergencies and patients, made the time to allow me to come and visit twice. I would like to add a personal thank you to Nurse Felicity for showing my Arnie extra love and care during his stay, it is greatly appreciated. Would highly recommend.

Negative experience: I have been with this vets for several years but feel the level of care has deteriorated. I took my dog in with back pain. The vet I initially saw did not identify that it was a possible spinal problem and was unsure of the cause. She proceeded to administer an anti inflammatory injection, but the syringe and needle became detached and the solution ended up in my eyes, not my dog. She did not ask if I was OK or even apologise. I found her quite cold and uncaring. 3 weeks later I had to take my dog back who was now in severe pain and a spinal problem was suspected. I found the referral process to a neurologist delayed, as the vet did not respond to an email from the practice referred - I had to chase this up myself and prompt Connaught to reply. I felt there was not much urgency given the severity of my dogs symptoms. I feel there is little continuity of care and the quality of care varies widely between different vets. It is hard to get an appointment with the more experienced vets. There out of hours service is now managed out of practice and necessitates a journey to Telford, which is not ideal when you have an emergency. I will now be looking for a new vets practice.

Fantastic experience: They have saved my old cats life, I can't give them anything less than 5 stars just for that! But they also deserve it for being kind, patient and understanding with me as well as the cat.

Negative experience: Shocking experience at this vets on 19/08/23. No care or compassion, left in a room for 2hrs 20 mins, crying my eyes out, no one came to check on me, they didn't have the medication for my 19 year old cat, I had to pay in addition for the prescription and go in search, finding it in Bridgnorth. I was told I could wait until Monday. I was given suppositories to insert whilst she was having a seizure. No questions were asked if I knew how to do this or if I lived alone. I used Dignipets on Monday morning as no vet told me the medication could take up to two weeks to have an effect. I couldn't put her through any more stress. The vet called me Monday afternoon to say medication is in Shifnal. No, how is she, how are you managing. I have never been treated with such indifference and a lack of care and compassion from any vets for my cats, dogs, horses or alpacas. Shocking.

Negative experience: Monday we had an appointment for our dog, but we had brought in our dog to be looked at as she has been unwell for the last week and we were seen to by a vet, but unfortunately we made the decision to put her to sleep as we could see she was suffering. We felt their was a huge lack of sympathy, me and my mom were deeply upset and it felt that the vet didn’t even take in consideration the upset we felt. Afterwards my mom let a member of staff know that we were ready as we were given some alone time with our dog, she called a woman in who seemed to look like a nurse who came into the room, and she uncomfortably asked “has she been put to sleep”, baring in mind our dog was lay on the table right in front of us, which she then proceeded to talk about payments, and my mom asked if these payments were to be made right now, as we thought it wouldn’t of been appropriate to pay when we had just lost our dog. But this woman was sure that she needed us to pay right now. She then proceeded to make my mom make the payment inappropriately in the room across where our dog was still lay on the table, and it was pretty obvious we were still feeling deeply overwhelmed and upset but this woman didn’t seem to care at all. Overall this experience wasn’t pleasant at all and we weren’t made to feel comfort when going through such an upsetting moment. It only seemed as though they cared about the payments and it seemed like they didn’t care how we were feeling after losing our dog.

Fantastic experience: My family have used this practice for 20+ years. I have just registered. We have visited twice for an ear haematoma in my labs ear. They drained it and gave us lots of information. My lab loves it here! Definitely recommend julie or will. Highly recommend .

Fantastic experience: We have been with Connaught Vets for years. In November we had to take our cockerpoo in as she was poorly. It turned out that Bailey was really ill and Connaught’s were superb. They cared for her and did so many tests to ensure she received the correct treatment. We can not fault the superb veterinary nurses, the receptionists and of course the vets. In particular a massive thanks to Will who was with us on the roller coaster of a journey over the last 3 months. Highly recommend this veterinary practice.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely phenomenal vets. I am a breeder and show exhibitor so need a vet I can trust. After my last vet of 35 years retired I spent ages researching vets and eventually settled on Connaughts. I’ve been with them now for 5 or 6 years and have come to trust them as much as I did my old vet. They gave me an extra 6 weeks of quality life with my Papillon who was very ill. I can never thank them enough for that. They’ve treated numerous dogs and puppies, and been a source of support for me in the tough times. They are compassionate and skilled. They go above and beyond. They do what they do because they clearly love animals. I would recommend them 110%!

Fantastic experience: Bobby was very uncomfortable passing blood in urine. Came along to see vet Will, he was fantastic with informing us all about what bobby needed done. He did his surgery and what a positive outcome . Especially as bobby is not very good at being a patient . Excellent caring staff would highly recommend this vets with the care of our fur babies.

We have always received excellent service. They are caring, conscientious, and extremely efficient in dealing with both pets and owners.. We recently had to take our very ill 19year old cat here and received superb care and support. So much so our cat is now in much better health, thanks to the best vet we have ever seen there. Negative experience: We have taken our dogs here for over 40 years. When our beautiful girl was obviously unwell they couldn’t or wouldn’t send an emergency vet out. My husband is blind and I am disabled so couldn’t get there. This was 5.00 pm today. She died just over an hour later. We are heartbroken and very disappointed with Connaught. Hasn’t been the same since Mr Bolton retired. —————————— Reply to Connaughts response. The professional service mentioned by them was a Euthanasia service. We wanted Tallula not Tallulah (can’t even spell her name right) to be treated if possible first. I’m not surprised they only had one vet on. They have quite a turnover in vets now.

Positive experience: Long story short, I was misinformed about a scan that my dog needed that initially I was not told I should be the one to arrange and by the time I found that out, it was too late and Sally passed away a few days later. When I went to collect her ashes I asked the receptionist who was on duty just out of curiosity, who arranges a scan and she said we do! I was not happy about this as I had been told different when I asked before and blamed myself for the delay when it wasn't .....

I was recommended by a friend, and from my first visit, I would definitely recommend too. Thank you all, you are amazing. Oh,and we even left with a lovely hessian bag with some treats and poo bags for my dog after signing up to the practice health plan. Yay After several more visits during the last 8 months, I can only add more praise to this amazing vets practice, every visit has been a positive experience, we feel cared for and valued, I can't thank each and every member of this team enough.
