Fantastic experience: Animals are treated with respect

Fantastic experience: We took our cat Ziggy to Stechford Vets for Pets this evening and were greeted warmly by the lovely receptionist, Carol, who was incredibly helpful when Ziggy’s appointment wasn’t showing on the system. Despite this, Ziggy was still seen by a wonderful vet who was very knowledgeable, friendly, and put both us and Ziggy at ease. We were extremely worried, but her calm and cheerful manner really reassured us — Ziggy must have felt it too as he was very cooperative. Great vets, lovely staff, highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Staff are very friendly

Negative experience: The bigger lady who works in the dog grooming section behind the desk kicked my dog thinking I didn’t see it before handing her back over after being cut. My dog wasn’t showing any behavioural issues and the kick was uncalled for. I am furious and utterly disgusted. Imagine what they do when you’re not around. Vile woman.

Fantastic experience: Genuinely one of the best veterinary teams I have seen with my animals. Vets, nurses & receptionists. Simin is such a wonderful vet, taking genuine interest and time to make sure she understood my concerns and then thoroughly communicating back to me what her thoughts were, next steps & results, ensuring I know at every stage what’s going on. One of the most caring vets I have ever seen. All the ladies on the reception desk are really knowledgable, helpful and also incredibly caring. The nurses ensured my cats were comfortable and ensured I had as much information as I needed/asked for. I really would recommend them to anyone.

Positive experience: The vets are fantastic. However, the young receptionists are so rude. They are always speaking to you like you bother them. Each time I either call or go to pick up my cats treatment I get welcomed by rudeness. It’s sad to see that the front of house brings this place down because the owner of the practice, nurses and the vets are fabulous.

Fantastic experience: I visited with my cat, Daisy today evening 17.10.25 to have to get her vaccinations done. I just wanted to express my gratitude to Simmi/Vicky for an outstanding experience at the vets for pets. They provided excellent customer service with exceptional care, upmost professionalism, empathy, and courtesy. They had such a lovely calm demeanour relieving my concerns, answering all my questions. They really went over and beyond at every moment right up from entering. Thank you Vicky/Simmi.

Fantastic experience: Great service, I was offered an appointment the same week. They have a cat waiting area which was good. They gave me a tool so that I could give my cat the tablet easier, this really helped. Friendly staff who were able to answer my questions.

Fantastic experience: Reception staff and Vets have all offered excellent service

Negative experience: Took my pug here suffering with discharge from his nose. Without examing dog properly at all they sent him for a referral which cost over 5,000 pounds in investigational work which was not needed at all and still had the same problem which was not resolved. We took our dog to another vets who straight away found he had 4 different types of bacterial infection cost 200 pounds problem solved. At no point would they admit they made a poor judgement an error with my pet. No offer of any refund or apology for an obvious mistake. This practice should be shut down. I'm just very fortunate I could pay this amount of money out of my own pocket a lot of people could not. This practice should be shut down or at least hold there hands up and admit a mistake was made in this case, But like a lot of these companies its just about money money money. And please don't anyone from this practice reply to this with more lame excuses I don't want to here it.

Fantastic experience: Team are very friendly

Negative experience: We registered with this vets in January, we have so far only needed the initial check up for my 8 month old. We went in today to see about booking him in to be neutered but book in advance for October so we can sort work commitments out. We were told by the most miserable receptionist that it's weight dependent so we can't book as this is needed. Now I'm not stupid but I do hope that my dog is heavier in October than he is now as he is still growing so this is irrelevant at the moment, plus we know we have to pay for it so it is what it is. She then miserably said we don't book that far in advance again that is fine but I would have expected her to offer going on a list for a call back when their diary is there. Finally I asked about their plans to be told its weight based again and it takes time to fill in the forms. This resulted in decision made move my baby's care elsewhere. This would be 0 stars if I could.

Negative experience: Looking back, I was well and truly robbed!

Fantastic experience: Have been with this vets for many years. It's always a pleasure speaking with Harley at reception, both the vet and nurses are very knowledgeable, and experienced with cats. It's convenient that there's a pet shop right downstairs too. Prices are affordable and you don't have to wait weeks to get an appointment. Would highly recommend. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic caring vets. Had a recent appointment for my guinea pig Gizmo with thier vet Simin. She had so much compassion in her job, my guinea pig was really calm. I couldn't thank her enough for the comfort she brought.

Fantastic experience: Joined the vets today situated upstairs and rhey are fantastic , I joined the care plan for my cat , from the receptionist who was so lively and helpful, and the vet who gave Mt cat a full health check was fantastic , I can't find enough words too say how fantastic they are , thankyou staff.

Fantastic experience: The most polite attentive vets I’ve been to! Let me start by saying I’ve been taking my three cats there for just over a year, one of them more recently has had an on going condition which means I’ve had to visit more often. Every time I go I’m greeted with a friendly smile and warmth from all the receptionist! sometimes the phone lines are busy but I always end up getting an answer to my queries. All the vets I’ve seen have been helpful and just amazing they have worked so hard to try and help my pets and I value them so much. Going to the vet with a sick pet can be stressful but these guys do the absolute most to make the visit easy and as pleasant as it can possibly be. Thank you vets4pets stechford!!

Fantastic experience: They have always looked after my boy well since 2018. Friendly and reliable. If you have a pet, get them insured, because bills do get high. There’s a lift inside as the vet is upstairs.

Negative experience: Was just on the call with Beth around 1pm, she was no help at all and very lazy I asked her if she can help me use the app and she had a Attitude and I did ask if I can speak to a manager she sed there not in and this was just a very bad experience over all, do not recommend this site because of Beth you need to train her better personally.

Negative experience: I have been here a few times with no issues, our vet is lovely and really helpful and kind. However I found the receptionist extremely rude, couldn't catch their name but she was a younger woman. She told me to put my kitten in a case which we had but he had pooped in the car so we had to clean him they could see our carrier and we were holding him so we would obviously put him back but it was as soon as we walked in. She also went on to give me a really rude service as I didnt realise we missed our appointment which I did say was my own fault but she proceeded to be impolite and blunt with me, it was really irritating as I was already stressed about my kitten and she showed no empathy or remorse. It's spoilt my experience to be honest I am due to go back again for our next appointment which was hard to get as she wasn't allowing me to book for two weeks time and when I explained I couldn't come next week as I'm on holiday she turned to her colleague and made a look and then they both commented 'well we will just put it on the system that you refused vets guidance'. It made me feel really bad but as pet owners we do our best. Unfortunately that woman has left a bitter taste in my mouth so I will most likely change my vet practice soon.

Fantastic experience: Provided an excellent service for our rabbit and were fantastic when she passed away. Would use again for future pets.

Negative experience: Took my cat here a few times. Firstly the place looks very clean and is well presented, I like how the cat section in the waiting room is well separated from the dog one. The vets I’ve seen however have a cold attitude with a touch of arrogance. Maybe they have a god complex? I found them to be vague and evasive. Prices are a total joke. Was quoted £300 for a full panel blood test. However this might be across the vet industry as I’ve read it’s being investigated for its prices. Also whatever medicine they give you has a ridiculous markup - the mafia would be so proud.

Negative experience: When I first went in here with my cat I thought I'd found the best place for my cat. However during my last visit a few months ago, the experience has left me disappointed and angry so once again I'm on the lookout for another vets place. We had the misfortune of having a vet whose badge read the name figs. Avoid him. He is extremely condescending and rude and treated me like an idiot. I don't pay to be spoken to like that. He couldn't give a straight answer to any question and laughs mockingly at you if you ask reasonable questions which he interprets as idiotic. Their prices are excessive as you'd expect from a large chain like this and they carry out alot of tests at your expense of course as the vets can't seem to diagnose anything. A money grabbing cartel.

Fantastic experience: I will always give this vets 5 stars, the love and compassion that they show the customers and their pets goes above and beyond. When we lost our girl Mable a few months ago, they went above and beyond to make sure that her last moments were met with dignity, we were allowed to stay with her as long as we wanted, it didn't matter how busy they were, coming to check in on us We have since gone on to get another dog, a playmate for our other, when we took him to the vets, they remembered our girl. They treated our new dog, and he loves them all. The attention they all give him and fuss.

Negative experience: Not even worth the 1 star IMO!! Horrible vet, no duty of care to an emaciated, filthy, smelly (Infection or would at back end, could hardly walk) stray that was in need of immediate vet treatment. Was looked at for 1 minute & refused any treatment. Receptionist was nice. Will never use this vet brand nor will I recommend!! Heartless vet!!!

Negative experience: I am still on the fence with this place...The receptionist for me let's the whole place down because I feel this is the first point of contact... If the receptionist is on the phone to someone and there is someone that brings their pet, please acknowledge them, don't just continue the conversation and ignore..Just acknowledge them, by smiling and politely say I will be with you in a minute , it's just respect, easy and simple to do , that way you are prioritising the customer ,otherwise you will loose customers

Fantastic experience: The receptionists are so friendly and make you feel welcome. The nurse Summer was brilliant with Boo. She answered any questions I had and calmed me down as I am a person that gets easily worried over Boo.

Negative experience: We phoned with 28 days' notice for a travel health check for our dogs, they could not fit us in and did not seem to care, the health check for 3 dogs is £400, and two of our dogs have had operations with this vet costing £7k, this was our regular vet. If that's not a rip-off and poor service I don't know what is

Negative experience: I get they charge for a emergency appointment but why it goes from just over £30 to £100 is a complete rip off it was at 6 pm so not even out of hours .so the vet was there doing nothing they are ripping people off and pets will suffer because people can not afford it

Fantastic experience: My dog had a procedure today in the hands of Jules and his team to which I was absolutely dreading going ahead with as I was worrying so much about how things will go but i honestly don’t know where to start.I just want to thank the main Man himself jules who is the practice owner as well the main vet who did The procedure on milo today but also a massive thank you to his staff he has a great group of people working at stechford branch.Jules is such a amazing talented vet but most of all his such a great man who gives such amazing service by talking you through everything also reassuring you everything will be fine during the procedure to which you want to hear help you keep calm but I honestly can’t recommend this man highly enough this man is a vet who is not in this to rip customers off he dose it for the love he has for his job but most all the love he has for the animals and goes that extra mile I was lucky milo was in the hands of such a great amazing vet with a great team behind him and now I'm sitting here with milo lying by my side thank you so much again jules and team simon and milo ❤️

Positive experience: They have a lift for taking your pet upstairs to the vet. Under 100gbp for a cat neutering.not 5 stars as they didn't Include a general check up in the neutering - that's a separate charge. Staff was friendly

Positive experience: i really would’ve loved to give this place a higher rating but unfortunately i wouldn’t be able to. the good thing was that i was able to get an appt the same day due to my cat limping around the house. was called into the consultation room quite fast. my cat does get quite nervous at the vets but the vet seemed to be shocked that my cat had scratched him (which should kind of be expected) and wasn’t able to do a full assessment. was charged £40 for a basic temp and weight check. also £20 for pain relief but i would’ve appreciated a more thorough check for my cat as the issue hasn’t seemed to be resolved. perhaps offering an alternative way to check out my cat thoroughly.

The vet listened, was very good with my pet and took very good care of him. Fantastic experience: Really great vets, lovely staff especially Harley, they sprayed my cat and helped me with a poorly and lost stray. Elliott the vet is also top rate and always happy to explain everything in detail. I will be returning soon for my cats yearly vaccinations. Prices are industry expected amounts and it is situated inside pets at home next to the dog grooming parlour. Thanks again vets4pets
