White Cross Vets: Reviews
Fantastic experience: White Cross Vets Alcester Road Sth Birmingham B14 I have had 4 cats in recent years and they have all been cared for by the above branch. Simply the best I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Caring, knowledgeable & professional.
Fantastic experience: White Cross really care about our pets, all of the staff are warm and friendly and talk to the dogs before us, which is always a good sign. They are empathetic and professional, definitely the best vets we've used.
Fantastic experience: I have just been in to clinic to collect my roxys paw prints and fur. I am overwhelmed with the presentation beautiful can't thank them enough for their kindness and support at this very sad time .
Positive experience: Prices are getting a bit ridiculous. Over £90 for 3 cats on their pet plan per month now. Unfortunately i've had to cancel mine due to cost and look elsewhere for a cheaper provider. Its a shame as i've been using whitecross for over 20 years and love the staff.
Fantastic experience: Since their opening in November, I have had 3 occasions to visit White Cross Vets In Stanningley and each time have been very impressed by their professionalism and standards of care. Everyone I came into contact with was kind and supportive and did everything possible to try to help our visit less stressful when Oscar my dog was rushed in and was found to need emergency surgery for Bloat, (GDV). Special mention goes to vets Rebecca and Francisco who acted calmly and swiftly, assisted by one of their nurses (sorry I don’t have her name but she was there on the opening day) The clinic itself is lovely and new with state of the art equipment and I would definitely recommend them.
Fantastic experience: Been using Whit Cross Vets since there Conception a long time folks and there Fabulous Very accommodating to any of your needs as we don't like injecting our Puppy Molly with unnecessary Vaccinations or flea treatments we use natural means and feed a Very Healthy Raw Diet we still are on a Plan but Don't use Some of the things that come Free Wirh the Plan we thought that this could be a problem But they Were Fantastic with the Response to the way we wanted to look after Mollys Heath so they were Fabulous every step of the Way So Yes White Cross is the Best Vets in our Opinion so another 5
Fantastic experience: Hi just a quick one I came in Tuesday with my best friend in the world BAILEY the vet I seen was amazing explain BAILEYs symptoms and the vet did all the checks then did a blood test so wait for 15 mins and went back in .it was the news every st pet owner dreads my litter boy. was very poorly the vet went through all the finds and explain it was up to me what next no pressure or rush so I decided it was kinder to send him to the rainbow bridge. The vet was amazing respectful caring and so kind like all the staff I meet that morning SO THIS IS A MASSIVE THANK YOU FOR CAREING FOR BOTH OF US ...THANK YOU. St helens Merseyside
Fantastic experience: Allways great service n veterinary care looking after not for the first time our beloved animals Simba on great hands very caring n putting our minds at rest highly recommend white cross vets
Negative experience: Awful im not registered but was advised they could give over the counter medicine.all I got was a lecture and a flea in my ear.
Fantastic experience: White Cross Vets are always very friendly and keen to help. We have never had so wait for an appointment and I know our dog is well loved when she is there.
Negative experience: So i took a kitten that was breathing but wasnt eating that i found it wasnt moving much but was moving , i took it in thinking they would of at least done an mmi scan or fed it through a tube but instead i was told because it wasnt eating they put it to sleep. How could they just put the kitten to sleep without knowing or trying to find out what was wrong .It was breathing for god sake. I did mention maybe do a mmr scan incase its got brain damage . And they just said the kitten was cold im so sad for this kitten the lack of knowledge from the vets and the ability to draw out possibiltys is a joke . The kitten had blood by its mouth how can they just brush it under the carpet instead of trying to determin the caurse!!! They also asked for a grand with the cost of care if i wanted the kitten if i would of said yes they would of done what needed to be done i bet!
Negative experience: Check the reviews on trust pilot if you don’t believe me but anyway If I could leave no star I would I don’t remember the vet that saw my cat at the time but I know it was a male Caucasian mature man and a oriental woman who was wearing a face mask… who looked rather suspicious as she injected my cat with something also but not while I was in the room but while I was in reception area near main entrance…. Anyway I never came back after this totally put me off vets and lost my confidence and trust. The vets that made my whole family feel like this was in kings heath called white cross vets and here is the reason why …firstly the kings heath vets genuine caring staff left and moved on else where and after my cat got multiple seizures after them injecting her with medicine which shouldn’t be given to cats with liver disease or so… anyway after she had been given that injection which was literally poison to her small frail body she had aggressive seizures which left her practically exhausted and paralysed that she couldn’t even eat or drink let alone pass urine or so and I gave her water which you could tell she was in need of desperately and was so thirsty … she had so many seizures that whole evening like every few minutes to every 20-30 mins! It was so heartbreaking to watch and that I couldn’t do anything to help her and that I was short on cash to get an emergency vet to come to my house at be out of hours too… I borrowed all the money I could but it still wasn’t enough… it was traumatising to witness it got so aggressive that her claw got hooked to her tongue … and the next morning I called the vet’s ( white cross vets) and told them everything that happened to my poor kitty mishka and they made me feel that it wasn’t them to blame when in fact it was as I did the research on the medicine they injected her with and it clearly said not to give to cats with liver issues which she had… i told them that since she had that injection she’s had a reaction and then they told me to bring her in and put her down… i had sadly no choice but to do that but if they had just not injected her with that medication that wasn’t suitable for her then my best friend would be with me here today … I didn’t want her to suffer anymore due to their mistake and I didn’t want to get In trouble if I didn’t take their advice… anyway while she was waiting to be put down they didn’t even make her comfortable or giver her water to hydrate or or put eye drops in her eyes… none of that … but just quickly rushed me to put her down as they were on schedule and I didn’t get to say goodbye properly ….
Fantastic experience: Would highly recommend very welcoming Always look after my fur baby
Fantastic experience: Our dog was attacked by another dog. White Cross saw her straight away and treated her promptly. They could not have been kinder to her or us which really helped in a traumatic situation.
Fantastic experience: Fantastic staff,in all department, beautiful with your pet's,Fantastic service
Fantastic experience: Great customer services, unfortunately no more new registrations.
Negative experience: Peter has been amazing. Been many times and he's been awesome with my bird. However, after today's visit, I don't feel welcomed returning. Kinda glad Peter's leaving now as I'll just follow him to his new place
Fantastic experience: Staff are friendly caring and makes you feeling welcome very clean clinic and would recommend White Cross Vets to others Veterinary staff are great and shows compassion to pets and owners
Positive experience: Great vets. So friendly and clean. Definitely recommend x
Negative experience: Extremely disappointed with the lack of compassion and professionalism. I called ahead about what I thought was an injured baby bird, and they told me to bring it in. However, when I got there, the vet confirmed the bird was not injured but then told me I had "done more bad than good" by trying to look after it, causing it distress. To make things worse, when I explained to the receptionist that I couldn't return the bird to its original nest, she started to argue with me and raised her voice. The experience was frustrating and upsetting. I was met with blame and aggression instead of understanding and help. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone seeking a compassionate and professional experience.
Fantastic experience: One of the most kind and compassionate vets I've been to
Fantastic experience: Just want to say a massive thank you to the wonderful vet I saw today. In 24 hours I have gone from a bright bouncy dog to one I thought was going to die to not back to normal but getting there slowly . Amazing
Fantastic experience: They are a fantastic vet practice who really care. Always very responsive to calls and emails, nothing is a ever too much trouble and my cat is always kept calm by the vet when they examine him.
Fantastic experience: I come in with my reactive rescue dog who is quite weary/anxious a fair bit to do socialisation appointments with the AMAZING Brogan. They have a closed off corner for anxious dogs, which is perfect as an owner to a dog who is dog reactive. Receptionists are always very understanding with her when she gets a bit stressed or reactive which makes us feel more comfortable. Brogan has helped Roxy overcome a fair bit of anxiety about the vets and Roxy absolutely adores her, we have ALWAYS felt comfortable as she sees Roxy for the sweetheart she is despite her size and that she wears a muzzle which is always lovely due to some people are scared of Roxy for that. She is an absolute honour to the team!
Fantastic experience: Alerting when treatments are needed. Really caring professionals doing their utmost for the pets in their charge. Having a rescue greyhound with complex health problems, I cannot speak highly enough about the care and treatment we have received. All staff go above and beyond, eg. when Florence was very ill and hadn't eaten for several days, I was asked what are her favourite foods and then one of the nurses popped to the supermarket next door and bought some - even making some gravy to add more flavour.
Fantastic experience: Received a warm welcome, even when our big boy got over excited and wanted to play with everyone and everything. Vet was kind and knowledgeable. So pleased we have moved here. Felt that advice was good and that staff are genuine animal lovers, even for our naughty boy.
Fantastic experience: My precious little finch named Pearl had quite a severe issue with her foot So I tried to take her to my normal vets that have on site avian vet but they were closed on the weekend. I called around everywhere then tried White Cross Vets where I was able to make an emergency appointment for her to see the vet who has personal experience with finch. The level of care that was shown to my sweet little girlie was amazing and ever so heartwarming, she has been prescribed with medication and even just a few days later she's looking better, her foot is healing and it's going the exact way the vet had said it would go. I got some really informative advice which I'll be passing on to everyone I can, I cannot express enough just how grateful I am for the staff and reception because most people would just see a little bird no bigger than a common sparrow and just let whatever happens, happen but my finch are very very dear to me. Pearl and I are very grateful for the staff at White Cross Vets, keep being awesome ⬛❤️
Fantastic experience: Amazing from when you enter their practice. Our dog is quite the lively one and they always accommodate her anxiousness and excitability. Should she be more than a handful whilst paying, they're more than happy to bring the pay machine to the door as we wait outside.
Fantastic experience: One of the best vet practices I have ever been. I highly recommend it. Friendly staff.
Fantastic experience: The staff are all friendly and welcoming to both me and my dog. Reassurance and advice given was very helpful. We use their monthly plan which is definitely worth it. Reminders via text to collect medications are handy.
Fantastic experience: From the moment we come in every member of staff was welcoming, my Dog doesn't like the vets but staff are fantastic
Fantastic experience: Looked after my dog for 13year and she always runs in she was very ill a fortnight ago and they seen her straight away and now back to full health.
Fantastic experience: Took our rabbit to White cross vets kingsheath everyone was so polite respectful helpful consultants vets nurses are so amazing specially towards animals love they have brillant experience dealt with her teeth quickly done amazing job one happy bunny and owner definitely recommend advice on animal care is brillant too thank you white cross will definitely be back
Fantastic experience: As a first time owner of two kittens, my experience with White Cross has been nothing short of exceptional. The team has supported me every step of the way, treating my kittens with remarkable kindness and care. They have consistently addressed my concerns with empathy, patience, and without any judgment, which has greatly eased my anxieties as a new pet owner. Our most recent visit was for neutering procedures for both kittens. The process was straightforward and stress-free, and I was reassured by the attentive care my kittens received, along with the timely follow up afterward. I wholeheartedly recommend White Cross to any new pet owner. Their professionalism, compassion, and dedication make them an outstanding veterinary practice.
Fantastic experience: Excellent service, spotlessly clean and the staff are lovely especially Suzanne. Highly recommended by me and Frankie
Fantastic experience: Excellent vets, clean practice. Vets themselves are kind, show empathy and are professional. Upfront yet sympathetic to both your pets and your needs. Wouldn’t go anywhere else, all my pets have gone there for over 20 years
Fantastic experience: Incredibly friendly, cost effective options, people who care looking after our animals. Highly recommend, I've never had a concern or anything bad happen. 2 neuters and many checkups, everyone I've talked to has been lovely and very helpful. Thanks!
Fantastic experience: I switched to White Cross Vets after feeling dismissed at a previous well-known practice, and I’m so glad I did. From our very first consultation, I felt genuinely listened to and reassured. It’s clear that the team here truly care about the animals they see, rather than just focusing on profit like some other places. I travel 40 minutes each way to get here, and it's 100% worth it knowing my dogs are in safe, caring hands.
Fantastic experience: Peter, Becky, nurses and reception staff you are all angels. Thank you for getting Judy back on her feet again yesterday. I know that she is in very safe hands when she is with you. I appreciate everything you do and your honesty about her condition. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Helena
Fantastic experience: I would like to thank Beckie the Veterinary Care Assistant for being the amazing person that she is! I registered 2 kittens with White Cross Vets and have also joined up to the Wellness plan for them both. Beckie has been incredibly helpful throughout the process and this is a quick message to say that her hardwork should be shouted about! Thanks Beckie for everything that you have done in the last week we really appreciate it
Fantastic experience: Very welcoming and professional.. I took my disabled neighbours dog to get it's nails trimmed and they were brilliant
Fantastic experience: Oh it’s a picnic spot for my dog. We can’t pass through the door without going in, he literally drags us into the vets. Seriously, the treatment, the staff, the information you get there is awesome. Excellent. Superb.
Fantastic experience: Great vets. The vet I seen was very knowledgeable and explained things to me regarding my dogs condition.
Fantastic experience: Amazing service from everybody! Took my little Diego in today and all of the nurses and vets were so welcoming, professional and kind at the same time. I felt really reassured as It was just so obvious that all staff really knew what they were doing. We had a really lovely nurse who really took her time explaining aftercare and took time in answering all my questions. We also really appreciated the get well soon card it was a lovely touch. Thank you for caring for my boy
Negative experience: the doctor the day before the cat was given up for adoption stated that the cat was healthy and could be given up for adoption. four days after the doctor's health check I had to visit them because it turned out that the cat had an infection. two weeks later when the antibiotics stopped working the cat was still sick. blood tests ordered only at the 3rd visit!!! confirmed malignant cancer. due to such a late diagnosis I was forced to put the cat to sleep because it was advanced. I do not recommend. because of them I lost my life companions and over a thousand pounds which the insurance does not want to give me back because of the doctor's wrong diagnosis.
Negative experience: Rang and spoke to a receptionist to say my dog had died so needed to cancel the pet plan she went through the usual “I’m sorry for your loss” but at the end of the conversation she told me to “ Have a lovely day” FFS have a heart
Negative experience: Brought in my cat as he has been in a fight and was subsequently limping for a few days. The vet missed a puncture mark and incorrectly diagnosed him with a sprained paw. I later found a puncture mark on his leg and called in, asking for antibiotics to be prescribed but my request was declined. I took him to an emergency vets the next day where he was correctly diagnosed and given antibiotics.
Fantastic experience: Brilliant practice and you can tell that all of the staff love animals and genuinely want to help. Monthly wellbeing service has been great value and has given me some much needed reassurance also. Highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: Lovely vets. And staff, super patient and kind to both dog and owner. Thank you.
Negative experience: Phoned because my cat was sick and they told me wait til your cat hasn't eaten for a few days before they'd give me an appointment. Just bizarre advice. I'd heard this was a good vets but I guess not
Negative experience: If I could put 0 i would! I knew something was wrong with my puppy, I insisted to the vets that something was up but they said i should stop worrying. I took their word for it for a couple of weeks but I just knew something was wrong so I took him to another vets and they instantly knew he had angular limb deformity and we then saw a specialist to fix it. My poor puppy suffered for an extra couple of weeks because the vets couldn’t care less about his wellbeing. Always follow your gut if you think something is up with your pet. Avoid at all costs these vets
Fantastic experience: Took Louie my talkative Staffy fir his booster and were overwhelmed by the welcime of the reception staff. The vet was brilliant and very informative. First time using the vet with Louie, have used them previously with other pets. This time I was on the Petplan and was a little nervous about how it worked but it was seamless. You couldn't find a better place or people to look after your fur babies....or any other pet you have.
Fantastic experience: As always White Cross Vets Kings Heath Very warm friendly welcoming Fantastic vet Camilla looked after my staffy Chloe really well Explained everything to me clearly and warmly with kindness Made me feel at ease Many thanks White Cross you really do love your animal friends and their parents
Negative experience: I battled through 40 minutes of rush hour traffic to take my cat to the vet. He’s an anxious cat and finds the car really distressing. I got there 8 minutes late and was told a simple booster vaccination may have to be rescheduled. I waited nearly half an hour to be told I’d need to reschedule. *I* don’t need to do anything. I’m registering with another vet. While it was inconvenient for me, it was way more distressing and upsetting for my poor cat. I will never come back to this vet.
Fantastic experience: Excellent veterinary practice. Staff are warm, kind and compassionate, and the practice is well maintained. The Vet Plan which covers the costs of any consultations, vaccines, flea and worming tablets, and a full yearly health check is fantastic.
Fantastic experience: My first visit to White Cross with my 17 year old dog and I have to say I was so impressed!! The vet we saw was so lovely and made the experience stress free. He took the time to fuss and reassure my dog who can be very nervous. He explained everything thoroughly and was very caring. I have signed up to their Wellness Plan which is very good value . I would definitely recommend this vets practice. !!
Fantastic experience: The vets and nurses at White Cross are wonderful and all the staff are super friendly and helpful. We ended up at White Cross after our cat got into an accident and they looked after him really well. We've stayed with them ever since. Their monthly plan is also very good and comprehensive. Good value for money.
Fantastic experience: The vets here are lovely and helpful would definitely recommend. The receptionist called Suzanne is lovely and friendly and obviously loves animals. She makes you feel welcome, she is perfect for this job.
Fantastic experience: Have 2 rescue greyhounds 1 of which was extremely nervous and not willing to enter treatment room. The vet then decided best to give his injection and medication in reception area so that he was less stressed and suggested a few sessions of orientation so not so nervous in future. Also bring both greyhounds in together as the other one loves everyone at the vets and enjoys going. Always friendly and helpful. Wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else. Such caring staff who love pets and are just amazing. Lost a dog recently to cancer and they were just brilliant. Would never go anywhere else.
Fantastic experience: Excellent service. The vet was very knowledgeable, and spent plenty of time with us, while listening to our concerns. He was very helpful with the rabbit, and handled him very professionally. He even helped us put him back in the carrier. Receptionists were also very kind and kept updating us while we waited. Not over priced either.
Fantastic experience: Really good vets, my hubby took our 11 year old dog bella, next day she had surgery. Highly recommend this vets as not money grabbers like others in area. Going to start taking our other 2 there. Thank you White Cross Vets
Fantastic experience: 5 star in every possible way. My dog has needed major surgery at the practice this year and i can honestly say that the love and care he received was second to nun. I have recommended them to anyone who asks. Every member of the team is a joy to meet. Despite all his treatment, my dog goes to the vets with his tail high and excited anticipation in his step. I trust them totally with my dogs life and know his wellbeing is at the heart of everything they do.
Negative experience: They charge a consultation fee of £58 each time I go in for my dog’s treatment, although there is no consultation going on. What a rip-off! Plus my dog doesn’t like the vet because she shows him the syringe before distracting him which left us with no choice but put a muzzle on. The lovely vet was very concerned that if my dog bites her she won’t be able to come in to work. They cannot handle big puppies dogs but dare to charge consultation fee, especially in today’s economy. When I asked the vet why paying a consultation fee as it doesn’t make sense, she said, oh because we ask how is the dog and if you have any questions ♀️♀️ I am about to faint. -0 starts.
Negative experience: So I've been paying a wellness plan now for 7 years at £25 a month,I rang last week told them my dogs nais are very long and crossing over when she walks they told me no appointments for 2 weeks I said but my dog is in pain her wellness plan covers nail clipping they said call back every day I said I cant as I work 12 hour night shifts,so today I call at smack on 8:30 am no cancellation for nurse I said but I can't even take her out for a walk they did not care I told her I've been paying for 7 years if I have to pay again else where I will change my vets the receptionist did not give a dam my dog has been left in pain and unable to go for walks discusting discusting all the money I've paid them
Fantastic experience: The treatment our terminally ill cat, Hannah, received from the vet Becky was extremely kind, caring and professional. All of the reception staff were also lovely. Unfortunately, she has now died but we shall always be grateful for the service provided by White Cross Vets.
Fantastic experience: Decided to change vets as we weren't happy with our old one. I won't say which vet it was but she was a vile woman. So we went to White Cross with one of our Guinea Pigs and saw Peter who was great. He was kind and obviously cares about animals. They will now be our regular vets.
Fantastic experience: White cross vets - what can I say . Staff are very friendly & helpful . Would definitely recommend this place for all your fur babies . Pic of my handsome boy ‘Marshall’
Fantastic experience: Honestly the best vets we’ve ever been too, caring for a stray cat for a couple of years now, he finally went over the rainbow bridge tonight they was honestly the best people receptionists and I can’t thank Libby the vet enough, thank you for being the best team, and helping our boy with his final moments forever grateful for you all. Thank you so much
Fantastic experience: Kind, friendly and helpful. Took in a stray who was really ill and had to be euthanised and we're so respectful. Even put up a picture of a candle to mark his passing. Will definitely use again
Negative experience: I suggest you take your pet to a Vet that actually takes interest in the pets emotional, mental and physical needs and of the owners too. White Cross Vets does not take any of that into consideration. If you ever think of money laundering- think of this very place. The workers only care about forcing you to go on a pet plan contract for a year and force you to buy the expensive medicine options. I took my pet to have an operation and they suggested this will only the only one time operation my pet would need to have. The operation itself cost around £600. Of course, I, a full time student cant afford that so they made me go on the pet plan, as they said it will work out cheaper. It didnt. I went back for a regular check up and they then said my pet will need another operation that will cost another £600?? They advised the pet plan would cover the cost but it didnt. I had to pay £600 on top of the pet plan I was subscribed too. To note the pet plan is £30 monthly. They did not consider my pets physical and emotional trauma of having to undergo another operation. Also, if you ask why I didn't just take my pet and leave? - Well- its because they held my pet hostage and said they cannot release my pet. Eventually, I had to pay up out of my student finance which left me with nothing. I had to continue to pay for the rest of the year. This itself is traumatic because after a year later, I am writing this review and I still feel traumatic. For anyone wondering- my pet is no longer with me as I have had to give my dog away to a new owner who can afford to pay for the rest of their care and be attentive to my dogs trauma needs it has experienced. I am not equipped to be able to provide this considering I am still a full time student and still left traumatised till today. I hope my dog is cherishing its new endeavours. I wish them the very best. I conclude that the workers/surgeons/nurses are only after your money and do not care about your pets need- only for your money.
Negative experience: I am writing to express my dissatisfaction and frustration regarding my recent experience at your clinic during a scheduled dog vaccination appointment. On 29/09/23, I had an appointment booked for 14:45, but due to unexpected traffic, I arrived approximately 8 minutes late. To my astonishment, I was informed that my appointment had been canceled, and my options for rescheduling were both inconvenient and unreasonable. I understand the importance of maintaining a schedule, but I believe the clinic's response was excessive and unfair for the following reasons: 1. Minimal Delay: I was only 8 minutes late, which is a very short delay, especially considering that unforeseen circumstances can occur when pet owners are traveling to your clinic. And there was no mention on the booking confirmation email that they would cancel my booking after 10 minutes which was what the reception lady said to me and as mention I was only 8 minutes late. 2. Limited Rescheduling Options: I was given two options for rescheduling my dog's vaccination. The first was to wait for an entire month, which is an unacceptably long period to ensure my pet's health. The second option was to wait for an hour, which is also inconvenient, especially considering that my dog's vaccination is time-sensitive. 3. Lack of Consideration: The clinic's rigid approach did not take into account the well-being of my pet. Cancelling the appointment and offering such limited rescheduling options directly puts my dog's health at risk, which contradicts the clinic's commitment to pet care.
Fantastic experience: Brilliant vets made me feel welcome and not far from where I live. The vet was nice and explained everything. My cat felt comfortable brilliant Service the reception are nice people. I’d recommend them.
Fantastic experience: The best vets in the Midlands! My cat cut her shoulder open, I took her to yourvets and was quoted over £1000! Ridiculous! I thought I'd try White Cross on a recommendation from a family member. I was seen immediately, and the vetinary nurse was so honest and said she just needed a few staples and some painkillers. No anaesthetic or antibiotics needed. And just £114! White Cross understand that by being honest and not trying to sell you things you don't need, then they will get repeat customers. I will be recommending them to friends and family! White Cross has restored my faith in vets. I won't be taking my cats anywhere else from now on. Thank you so much to the wonderful team!
Fantastic experience: White cross vet is the best vet I ever met.
Positive experience: Very friendly vets. Greg was brilliant with our dog, who settled quickly as a result despite having an uncomfortable implant fitted. One star off as we were not made aware of the £55 consultation fee on top of the already expensive implant.
Fantastic experience: Amazing staff who are so friendly and clearly care about the animals as much as the owners. My cat has come home from surgery very relaxed and well looked after. The information the staff provide is thorough and they're happy to answer any questions. Such a wonderful experience in comparison to the last vets we were at - thank you so much!
Fantastic experience: I would not take my animals anywhere else. The staff are always caring and kind. They take the time to answer any questions you have. I know when my animals go in they are loved just as much as they are at home. When I had to have my 14 year old staff put to sleep they were just as emotional as I was, I felt it isn't just a job to them its a passion. Thank you white Cross vets ❤️
Fantastic experience: Sam was absolutely brilliant with our boy James who can be quite nervous. He was diagnosed with diabetes and the nurse we saw for his care appointment following this diagnosis was also lovely. Very knowledgeable and reassuring. Got a call the day after to check how his first injection went... Can't fault them in terms of bet care Have used them in the past for our other cats also and they were good with them too.
Fantastic experience: Lovely friendly staff, our dog was not himself one Saturday morning, we called up and was told to come up rite away so they would slot us in, literally waited 5 minutes when called. The vets we have seen so far have been so very attentive and explained everything. They seem like they genuinely care, unlike a previous vets we attended.
Fantastic experience: Really lovely friendly staff always receive warm welcome when i visit. I have had my two Dogs looked after by White Cross and i really couldn't ask for better treatment for them. Sadly one of my dogs became very poorly very quickly Dominic helped us through the very difficult decision that us pet owners dread. All staff were wonderful. My other dog is looked after just as well. Becky the vet saved his life after noticing a heart problem. He now has a pacemaker and is living life to the full. I would and do recommend White Cross to anyone asking for a vet.
Fantastic experience: Could not speak highly enough of this practice, brilliant team, great with my puppies, always warm and welcoming, the pet health club is a welcome bonus to make keeping my pups safe and healthy, my pups actually like going there!!
Fantastic experience: Really good friendly and professional staff. Helped when dog had tick recently. Lauren was excellent explained everything . Dog was really calm with her. Highly recommended.
Fantastic experience: Excellent vet practice, can't recommend them highly enough. They have helped my rescue dog get over his fear of the vets and have got his allergies under control. Staff are friendly, kind and knowledgeable.
Fantastic experience: Top class in all that they do and also make you feel at ease also the animals sense they nothing to be afraid off. The staff are marvellous how they deal with your animals they don't just go in straight away with any injections or treatment they ask how the dog or cat is stroke the animal talk to you also the animals. They ask if any worries you got also how the toilet going which is very important. White Cross vet wish I found them years back as I never say it to win even if it was just a questionnaire as its a top class vet i reccomend it to anybody which i already have and they have took their cat there as well a vet so professional great fantastic in all they do. I'm not just saying that to win I say this even if it was just a qusetionair great staff polite cleanness and atmosphere walking in the vet is happy feeling.
Fantastic experience: Accepted my dog during the pandemic as he required his vaccinations and there was also an increase of parvo. Very friendly everytime we've been in and treat my dog with kindness and affection
Fantastic experience: I've the staff and Vet's at White Cross extremely professional. Very friendly people and nothing is too much trouble. My dog Lenny loved it there and got on with everyone. It's been truly wonderful. I feel confident to for my dog to cared for at this brilliant practice. Well done everyone at White Cross. Great work.
Negative experience: They don’t respond to emails. My dog is incontinent. Instead of issuing a prescription for a cheap drug that be bought online, they keep advising me to spend insane amounts of money on adaptil products they sell in house for an extortionate mark up- that I have tried and found don’t work at all Rather than give you the ability to procure a cheap medicine online that will actually help your dog, they nickel and dime you into monthly purchases of hugely expensive stuff that doesn’t actually help your pet with their medical problem. Without a prescription from a vet, you can’t freely buy what your pet needs so you are effectively being forced to spend tons of money with them instead- and your pet loses out and can’t get the treatment it needs. I’d recommend you avoid them.
Fantastic experience: The staff & vets always make you feel very welcome. Our dog, who gets very nervous, has been treated brilliantly by the vets we’ve seen which has been great. We can’t recommend them highly enough!
Fantastic experience: Caring, knowledgeable, and professional staff. We have a diabetic cat and the team knew about using a Libre for her instead of all day monitoring. We also had the sad experience of having a cat pass away at home. We brought him to White Cross to arrange his cremation and the team were very kind and genuinely caring as we were understandably distraught by his sudden passing.
Fantastic experience: Recently moved to White Cross Vets Kings Heath, after our long term vets closed down. Wish we'd moved sooner! There are always plenty of staff on reception - friendly and efficient. All queries and insurance payments are promptly dealt with. Also multiple vets on, who are kind and knowledgeable. Only downside is the parking! I park on a side road and walk.
Fantastic experience: Our dog Loki was out to sleep on 11/01/23 and the vet was amazing, he let us take things at our our pace and gave us time to say a real heartfelt goodbye to our boy. On collection of Loki's ashes he was there and made things so much easier knowing who we are and who we had come for, bringing him out to us and was very sincere. Thank you so much for helping through this difficult time, your amazing.
Fantastic experience: Lovely reception staff and great vets! Everyone is really nice there and took care of my cat with everything we had him in for! And included a very nice surprise of a ‘get well soon’ card after his castration, signed by loads of the staff. That was such a nice touch that I really appreciated. Mango loves them all there, even if coming to the vets is not his favourite activity!
Positive experience: Being Adopted Parents to our 8 year old GSD Jess has always been a privilege. Unfortunately she has developed an eye condition which will almost certainly take her sight completely over the coming month’s. It was easy to get an early consultation once I described Jess’s condition and Peter her Vet and the Staff at White Cross have been helpful and friendly.
Negative experience: Not happy at all. My dog went in with a wound. Cost over £200 just to put a bit of bandage round her leg twice. She went in today to get it removed. My mom was shocked to see our dog come out in a sock with a plastic bag around it. Which fell of in the shop itself and in the car. They have then told us to buy something on Amazon, which is out of our budget. They haven't gave us any advice, just told us to change the sock. A human sock. The workers were very rude and unprofessional. Disgusting honestly.
Fantastic experience: All the Staff at White Cross Vets Kins Heath are Fantastic! They give my dog child loads of loves and they very much understand how important my Dog-Child is to me. Thank you all you ate AMAZING !
Fantastic experience: The kindness , support and care are always outstanding! I’ve been going to this practice for years , they are just excellent!! Exceptional people .. wonderful service - Thank you to them as ever for being a vets I can truly trust to look after my beloved fur family the way I care for them .
Fantastic experience: I never thought it would happen to myself but I recently fell victim to a puppy farm scam. For the short time I had my puppy Nico, this vet showed the upmost care for him. They tried their best and support. I felt like I had an extended family. Unfortunately Nico lost his battle to the Parvo virus but the support during and after his loss has been incredible. I’ve had dogs before and family pets who have all been here and it’s always been the best care. I’ll return one day and I know I’ll be in safe and welcoming hands. Thank you again to the whole team.
Fantastic experience: I was very impressed by this practice. The staff are welcoming and very helpful and the vet took her time to explain everything and answer all my questions. Just as important was her ability to put my nervous rescue dog at ease as she examined and treated her. I would highly recommend this practice.
Fantastic experience: Dr Samantha King and her colleague Peter, went above and beyond the call of duty to care for my lovely little Jack. They genuinely cared, were compassionate, and tried everything they could to give me a few precious months longer, with my beloved Jack Russell . Thank you both for everything
Positive experience: Had really good service 2 days ago, with my Cat needing to be seen urgently. Expensive though as they do have quite high charges, for different things they do and offer. Had different service though today, when went back with my Cat for an ongoing issue.
