Our comment from InfoVet about Vets Now Coventry:

Vets Now Coventry is a dedicated emergency veterinary service that has received numerous positive reviews for its compassionate and professional care of pets in distress. Clients have praised the kindness and thoroughness of the veterinarians and support staff, emphasizing their ability to handle stressful situations with calmness and expertise.

Many clients have highlighted the quick response times, with several reporting that their pets were seen within a short period after arrival, even during busy hours. The reception staff has been consistently described as friendly and helpful, providing clear communication about procedures and costs, easing the anxiety of pet owners in emergency situations.

However, some reviews have mentioned concerns about the high costs associated with out-of-hours services, which can be a significant burden for pet owners. While the fees are to be expected for emergency care, some clients felt that the pricing could be more transparent or reasonable.

In summary, while there have been individual cases of dissatisfaction, Vets Now Coventry is largely regarded as a reliable and caring option for pet emergencies, offering essential care when it's needed most. Many would not hesitate to recommend their services to others needing urgent veterinary care.

Fantastic experience: I have been to Vets Now on a couple of occasions and have found the vets to be thorough, kind and compassionate. Reception was calm and friendly and I have not had to wait long for my dog to be seen..

Fantastic experience: Vets Now in Coventry provides a really great service. I took my rabbit to them as she wasn't eating her food. Their receptionist was really helpful on the phone and in person, and the vet saw my rabbit Lilo within half an hour of me calling, which was out of hours. The nurses and vet were considerate and thorough, reassuring me and providing information on the care Lilo needed. I felt like Lilo was in safe hands. I would recommend Vets Now Coventry to anyone with a pet in Coventry or nearby.

Negative experience: Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. The lack of empathy shown throughout was striking, and interactions felt unprofessional and dismissive. Rather than focusing on care or understanding, the emphasis appeared to be solely on financial gain. This made the experience feel transactional and impersonal at a time when professionalism and compassion were essential. I would not recommend this service and believe it is best avoided.

Fantastic experience: Staff were really helpful, lovely lady on reception that I spoke to when making my emergency appointment & at reception when I arrived at practice. And the vet that saw my rabbit was really good, the treatment recommended and also with advice given was really helpful and my rabbit is now doing so much better, thankyou, wouldn't hesitate to recommend for anyone who's in need.

Fantastic experience: Charles & the team were brilliant when our Chihuahua had a heart attack. Very calm & compassionate. They also picked up things our regular vet hadnt mentioned. They stabalised her over night & gave us a very detailed report to pass to our own regular vet when we collected her next day, so she could continue treatment and she's since made a good recovery. Can't thank the team enough!!! Only wish we had an emergency vets closer to us

Fantastic experience: I attended VETS Now emergency clinic in Coventry on Saturday afternoon with my kitten who was vomiting + hadn't eaten for 2 days, on the advice of a vet I consulted prior to going. It was stressful as I was on my own + my kitten was in obvious distress. The reception staff were lovely + engaged with me from the out set. I had to wait about 20 mins to see a vet but when I did she immediately explained the situation + was very mindful of the stressful situation I was in +, more importantly, the cost of the visit, so wasn't about to offer any treatment not needed at that point, which I found extremely refreshing. She treated my kitten after a thorough examination + explain what to expect in the following days + how to go forward . I was very reassured + my kitten improved almost immediately. The only downside is the cost of the whole experience. To just walk through the door is over £300, ( I was advised of this before going). However, as my insurance company cap the emergency cost at £200 I am now out of pocket by over £100, which just adds to the stress of it all. I know that is down to my insurance company's policy but I am guessing it's the same with most insurance companies. No one attends an emergency clinic if they don't have to, + not all people have insurance etc. I, personally, don't know how they arrive at the £300 plus fee but it would be nice if it could be brought down to a little closer to the amount most insurance companies accept + pay.

Positive experience: Speaking to a vet online and then decided that my dog needed to see a vet urgent.and made arrangements at PDSA in Coventry, this was excellent but the PDSA were appalling the vet never offered any help all he was concerned about was quality of life My dog needed fluids but he never offered he was more interested in putting her to sleep at 2 years old,so after paying the £160 it was fraudulently taken with no help or advice I stayed up with her for the whole of 24 hours feeding her water through a syringe and now she is way better than she was that night A vet is suppose to help a sick pet either being a dog, cat, etc not just turn around and say what do you want me to do and just say need to look at quality of life He should be struck off I cannot fault Vets now they were brilliant at what they could do but as I am a pensioner and use PDSA because of financial issues having to find £160 is unacceptable

Fantastic experience: Called ahead of time to emergency appointment. Receptionist was very understanding and welcoming. Vet saw my injured dog . After less than 4 hours had to return as my pet my bleeding through the dressing and needed. Had to pay consultation fee again … waited for over 1 hour to be seen … re bandaged and paid again … less than 1 hour back at home and bleeding came through dressing again !

Positive experience: Absolutely excellent care, keeping my baby stable overnight so we could get her to her day vet’s However, the charges are CRAZY!!!!! 2 thousand pound for overnight care, just fluids and anti sickness - next day my own vets did many scans and specialist bloods and the total was not far off just what the consultation fees were at VETSNOW!!!! Something needs to be done about the charges!!!

Fantastic experience: Called ahead to let them know we were on our way. Staff were extremely helpful, and very compassionate. Updated on collection the next morning with paperwork for handover to our regular vet practice. A very positive experience under the circumstances, a massive thank you to the staff on duty that night

Fantastic experience: We had a great experience at Vets Now Coventry. We were seen within an hour by a great vet named Charles who diagnosed the issue quickly and reassured us. He provided pain relief for our cat and gave us a prescription for more pain relief and antibiotics while she recovers. The receptionist also kindly talked me through the insurance process. I wouldn't hesitate to take our cat back to Vets Now again if we faced another emergency. Thanks again to Charles and the team!

Fantastic experience: I can't remember the professionals names. I believe a vet and a nurse who cared for my cat Yogi in the Coventry practice. They were a dream team and had the balance of informative, caring, compassionate, honest and knowledgeable in a time of essentially life or death crisis. They managed to keep our cat alive long enough, out of hours, for him to go to the heart speacialist in Birmingham the following day and we are greatful.

Fantastic experience: Excellent service we took are very sick dog Rosie for night care she was treated and observed all night by a very professional team my wife and I cannot thank you enough here's hoping Rosie makes a full and happy return to full health.

Fantastic experience: The vets were very good. I was put onto an all night vet who i could text through the night.I then got an appointment early in the morning and the vets were very good.I wasnt rushed at all and i had a good chat about my cats health condition

Negative experience: Took our cat there last night she's was really not well before we went we phoned and told them she not eating and can't really walk we were told to come in and they will try take best care of her went there she was put on a scale and the nurse felt her fir 5 minutes saying there's something hard in side her take her home and phone your vets on Monday they will do xray and blood test to fund out what's the problem we could have dine that anyway the reason for bringing her there was for you to find out the illness they too 422 pounds and Said in a nice way good bye its about money not care anymore we just wanted our cat to be in safe hands money was not the problem if they treated her

Karen Radcliffe Posted on Google 8 months ago

Positive experience: Cat with broken tail: Wonderful welcome, only had to wait for a minute. The vet was very pleasant, removed the cat to another room to have a better look and returned after 5 minutes with Metacam. I asked what we should do next and I was met with a non commital ‘wait and see, it might go black and drop off or it might get better. If you are worried, come back or go to your own vet’. Needless to say, as the tail was stone cold and clearly had no sensation / feeling at all, we went to our own vet the next day and they kept her and amputated the same day. That was an expensive 5 minutes for 3ml of Metacam and little reassurance.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic service for looking after my dog pity my insurance doesn't cover out of hrs total rip off but vets now would recommend

Donna Haycox Posted on Google 10 months ago

Fantastic experience: Very helpful from first call to end of visit and also extremely helpful about explaining how to make a claim on our pet insurance. Vet was great and explained things fully and gave reassurance.

Positive experience: I had no choice, I had to pay for my cat too be released from her degenerate issue. I sound harsh, I loved her and trust me she was a child too me. But, although the vet I saw this morning was considerate and compassionate, I hope this out of hours vets isn't related to what use to be on Standard Ave, Coventry. They were not good, and too be honest I really hate paying any monies that go into that companies pockets, the staff they employ don't get enough credit or wage.

Missy McDowell Posted on Google 10 months ago

Positive experience: Could not fault the actual care we received for my dog maverick. It was out of hours so received a hefty out of hours fee of over £300 but we were told about this prior. Alongside an admin fee for about £30 which was unclear what that was for. There were about 3 people at reception when we arrived but they all quickly disappeared without speaking to us. We had waited about 40 minutes for someone to come out to us. This was after we had to phone back through to the reception we were currently waiting in to ask where everyone had suddenly gone. As it was 2:30am and brought maverick in as an emergency, you would not expect to wait over 40 minutes to even be spoken to.

Fantastic experience: We had to take our Shar Pei Pebbles to Vets Now Coventry last Friday evening. Pebbles was having a Shar Pei Fever, which if left untreated can cause irreparable kidney damage. Our own vet was closed. Vets Now were very efficient and helpful. We were with them within half an hour, they were waiting for us, so we went straight into the treatment room. Corina the vet listened to what we had to say about Pebbles' symptoms and what treatment we had started, which took note of. She took bloods which showed no damage to the kidneys. She gave Pebbles and injection and prescribed medication which seems to be doing the trick. She advised us what to do if things got worse. The bill was a bit eye watering, and if we didn't have Pebbles insured we would have had considered whether we would afford the treatment, or ask Vets Now if they had a payment plan. All in all a traumatic experience was made easier by the care and compassion we received. If you are having an out of hours experience then I would recommend them whole heartedly. It's just a pity that they don't offer the same service during the day at a lower price. If they did we would sign up with them immediately.

Fantastic experience: Were very busy when we went in but the staff were calm and attentive to everybody waiting. My pet was in pain and very anxious but the vet managed to him calm whilst he examined him. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff who were working they kept us informed every step of the way. Would highly recommend.

Negative experience: I brought my cat here who was experiencing symptoms of a urinary blockage and we were treated awfully. I made it very clear on EACH of my visits here that he was high risk for a blockage due to him having one a month prior and we were dismissed. On my first visit at the beginning of may, they told us he’s fine and sent him home on pain relief as they found nothing on his blood and his temperature was “fine”. We had to bring him back again the next day as he was experiencing the same symptoms despite his high dose of opioids that he was prescribed. When we brought him back, we were seen by a different vet who in other words told us “I don’t know what’s wrong”. She informed me that he still had a high temperature to which I questioned as according to the vet the day before his temperature was fine. It wasn’t, it was almost 40 degrees and it hadn’t dropped at all since the previous night. Nobody mentioned any repeat blood work, urine tests, X-rays, ultrasounds nothing. We were told he was fine but he has an infection? I questioned this again as the vet the day before told me his infection markers were fine on his bloodwork and that uti’s in cats are rare. The vet confirmed this but still told me “no he has an infection as I don’t know what else it could be” and sent us home on ridiculously priced antibiotics. Low and behold we had to bring him back again the next day as he still wasn’t ok, and this vet spent 5 minutes with us and said he’s fine but go back to your own vet for tests? That was it, sent him on his way and charged us ridiculous prices for a consultation. Fast forward around 1 week later, he had to be taken into surgery at our own vets as they found large amounts of crystals and stones formed on his bladder which were causing him an immense amount of pain and was causing his struggles. They also confirmed that he never had an infection by doing a simple bladder test so the money they charged for antibiotics was a waste and he was also being pumped with medication he didn’t need. These vets are clearly lacking training and it felt like all they wanted was money out of us. I’ve emailed through a complaint and have been told it will take 35 working days and I expect a refund for my wasted trips. Take your pets somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: My dog had a post-op wobble late last night, and so I decided to take her in to Vets Now just to make sure nothing serious was wrong. From the initial phone call, to checking in, seeing the vet, and processing payment, every step of the journey was made so easy and seamless, in what was a very stressful situation for me. The advice and information given over the phone was clear, concise, and delivered with compassion by the member of staff I spoke to. I was sent a google pin whilst I was on the phone so I didn't need to worry about finding the practice, or accidentally driving to the wrong place; all of the costing and information I needed to bring with me was relayed over the phone. I was even asked for an eta, and then sent a confirmation text that the practice were expecting me. The staff at the practice were also very kind and compassionate, and the vet was excellent in her diagnoses and method to conclude what the issue was (thankfully, just pain that could be remedied with medication!). She was very patient and gentle with my dog, and very patient with me in a half sleep/half stress state. Payment was easy, the staff again were very friendly, and gave me all the info needed to claim on my insurance. Yes, it is expensive to bring your pet here, but at the end of the day, it is an emergency service, and it isn't any more expensive than other emergency vets I've been to in the past. I'm incredibly grateful to have this service so close, and to know my pet is in good hands should I ever need their assistance. I would also like to note, I have been in contact with Vets Now before for a previous surgery my dog had, and they very kindly were able to help me over the phone, rather than charging me to come in when there was no immediate issue, which speaks to the character of their staff. Thank you all so much for your help.

Fantastic experience: I am grateful for the team to be available to help my cat on Easter Sunday. Very caring stuff and kitty felt good after first dose of medication. Thank you!

Nikki Maynard Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: My daughter called this place because my dog was getting poorly over the bank holiday and my normal vets was closed. Apart from the astounding prices I think it is totally out of order to keep ringing and texting at 3am to the point we had to block your number, to see if we were going, which we never said we were in the first place we asked for advice and prices. We didnt get advice just the ridiculous price!. My dog has now passed away but in the hands of our lovely compassionate vet. Money over an animals welfare. Terrible.

Fantastic experience: Howard came home after a small car accident, From the out of hours call to when I left, the staff were all so lovely, keeping me updated on how Howard was. I was asked every time they wanted to give medication. The vet was very informative and never rushed me into any decision. Luckily Howard came off very lightly, and I could bring him home with instructions to see our own vet the next day. Thank you

Hannah v Sharp-Harrison Posted on Google 1 year ago

Positive experience: The actual vet was a lovely chap, the tests & ultrasound performed were pointless as they showed little, unfortunately the next day at our own vets they discovered the problem & our boy had to be put to sleep.

Jane Fradgley Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: A great service, the vet was brilliant, very caring and considerate and the rest of the team were great, made us feel more relaxed when we were so tense with our cats problems. The wait time was nothing on this occasion but we have been before when we have had emergencies where the wait was long, however our cat was triaged immediately and we were kept up to date with everything as this was on a very busy night for them where they had some major emergencies. Even when busy the team have always been friendly and caring.

Jayne Tracey Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Very kind caring. Explained all about his injury. Also prescription meds. They reassured us very caring to our Springer ^Conka' thank you for your support and kindness. It was a stressful Sunday . We needed help & reassurance.

Fantastic experience: Emergency appointment for our dog who had eaten sultanas. We received kind and expert help from the initial phone call through to the end of our consultation and treatment. Many thanks.

Ayden Nichols Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: Wouldn't take my pet here again unless I was having a serious emergency and had no other choice, rushed my dog in for emergency treatment during business hours on a Sunday, was quoted £1200-1500 and then immediately told they'd made a mistake and it would be 1800-2300 with no option of a payment plan, this is extremely steep compared to other vets and they're fully out to take advantage of people's live for their pets. they expect you to just pull that out immediately and hand it over, no compassion whatsoever from the reception staff. My dog ended up dying and it was a traumatic experience made worse by the smirking smug girl on the front counter and a head office that is blatantly ripping people off. the vet himself was okay however.

Barbara Brown Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: We were so worried about our dog. The staff were very reassuring and kind, and when we got to see the vet she was clear, knowledgeable and sympathetic. Thank you!

Positive experience: Many thanks to Vets Now for your emergency help with our dog Jack on new years day, and also the insurance support afterwards, highly recommend this company.

Michelle Davidson Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: While the vet is great—empathetic and informative—unfortunately, this is where the compliments end. The reason for my 1-star review is that when I returned to collect my dog, who was suffering from heart failure, 14 hours later, she was handed to me soaking wet. The nurse claimed she had been sitting in a water bowl and that the grass was wet (on a dry day), but it quickly became clear the smell was urine. I had to bathe her as soon as we got home, which only added to an already stressful situation. What makes this even worse is that I was anxious about picking her up because this isn’t the first time I’ve collected a dog from there covered in urine. The same thing happened with my previous dog. For the amount of money you pay, it’s unacceptable to have your dog left lying in their own urine. I understand accidents happen, but this has now happened twice, and the excuses and dishonesty make it even harder to accept. I’m deeply disappointed.

Susan O'Reilly Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Such a friendly and professional vets. Made us reassured and at ease when our dog was poorly. Explained everything in detail about what they were going to do. Would recommend

Fantastic experience: Our cat received excellent treatment and care at Vetsnow. If you need a vet in an emergency - definitely give Vetsnow a call.

Fantastic experience: During a sleepless night fretting over my cats urinary troubles I called up twice; Sam (I hope I'm not misremembering the name) was an absolute hero explaining my different options despite financial and travel limitations, supporting my decisions and asking all the right questions. The vet on duty was also an amazing help too and I'm so grateful for the time and effort they both dedicated to my cat and I- they very clearly put animals first no matter what. My cat was still chirpy by 7am so I ended up waiting an extra hour and going to a day vets who confirmed it was just cystitis and he's is feeling much better now. But during the night I was a stressed mess and don't know what I would have done without these guys on the phone :')

Fantastic experience: My dog needed life-saving surgery. I am over the moon with the service my dog was provided. The care and time they put into caring for and looking after my girl were exceptional. I really can't thank the staff enough. She was an extremely sick girl and further problems were detected during surgery which were also dealt with. Thank you so much for saving my fur baby. Giving 5 stars isn't enough, really isn't.

Denise Prosser Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: Dog taken after a vicious attack by another dog, leaving me and my dog injured. Vet initially said dog had a few scrapes and bruises. When going out, my dog left a trail of blood. Vet had only missed a big puncture wound on his leg! The OOH fees were ridiculously high, especially for 2 30 on Saturday afternoon.... not even keeping them out of bed. The worst thing was that extra charges were put on medications too!! Got you everyway.

Karen Crilly Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Very friendly night staff. My pet was in a bad situation. They were calm and dealt with us immediately. Keep up the good work. X

Fantastic experience: Had to go to Vets Now for an out of hours emergency appointment for my 5 month puppy. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and they had my lad sorted in no time. Also the follow up and administration side of things is very easy, and all done through their modern online services. Would highly recommend this vets.

Gloria Noble Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: I had to contact the emergency Vet for my cat. The service was very quick and helpful. The people at the surgery were lovely very sympathetic and caring, don’t hesitate if your pet is unwell to contact them thank you.

Ashley Hayward Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: For the only emergency vets in Coventry, the service is awful. I was waiting over an hour in the waiting room with my rat, who was dying. Another client was waiting longer than me with her cat, who needed to be stitched up. I understand that there is just one vet on and that staff have to see the most emergent cases first. But surely my dying rat counts? Surely a cat with a huge laceration should be seen and at least given pain meds? I have always had to fight for appropriate care for my rats in extremely distressing situations. Being told to take an extremely sick rat home rather than do an xray. Avoid this place if you can.

Clive Parker-Skelhon Posted on Google 1 year ago

Positive experience: Indiee's treatment with the vet was excellent, as it always has been, but the front desk guy was far from good. He was rude, objectionable and dismissive...not at understanding to our problem at the time. I said to him that he needed to work on his people skills, to which he shouted back at me "How dare you speak to me in this manner"...totally unprofessional! Please can you speak to him and redress his whole approach when speaking to worried pet owners, there was no excuse for his behaviour. When I said I would be making an official complaint, he was not at all concerned. Do you really want staff such as him working for you?

Keith Jeacock Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Out of hours service, Sent by our normal vet. Vets Now we're very good. Got us in due to an urgent need and we were very happy how we and the dog were looked after.

Stephanie Jones Posted on Google 1 year ago

Positive experience: In the whole very good. On first look however, the vet scared the life out of me by saying she believed there was pelvic fractures. This turned out to be wrong and no x-ray was required.

Fantastic experience: Edwina Alderson was literally save my dog. She blessed. Im highly recommended everyone an emergency situation to use Vets Now Coventry

Positive experience: Took my poorly Labrador on Sunday morning to Vetsnow at Coventry. Seen quickly and admitted for tests. Collected sunday evening after treatment and tests. All staff were excellent. Only issue is that report and test results were not sent to my vet.

Fantastic experience: Couldn’t fault them! Knowledgable and caring. Our dog was kept in overnight, we had regular updates, and she was very well cared for.

Mark Smith Posted on Google 1 year ago

Positive experience: The Two ladies that looked after Stanley were amazing both very professional and caring towards my dog. I attended the vets on Thursday 29th August PM . Only the price of the treatment was the only disappointment. Just to have Stanley looked at was nearly 300 pounds (consultation)

Robin Buxton Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: Reminded me of the NHS A&E, which considering they are charging Private Healthcare prices isn’t great. Still after a 4 hour wait they issued my dog with some ibuprofen and antibiotics and changed me £662 for the privilege.

MARY HUNT Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Excellent care from Vet. I couldn't understand why people who arrived after us got called in before we did. I queried it and was told it was due to severity of illness after triage. My dog didn't see anybody for triage. The care and treatment of the dog though was second to none.

Negative experience: I unfortunately had to us Vets Now at the end of last month as an emergency, I must say all the staff I dealt with were lovely, caring and very helpful and I couldn't fault them and I would give them a five star review, unfortunately I have only given one star and that is because of the what I can only assume is protocol from head office, my dog had pyro and needed an emergency operation, I was told they couldn't operate unless I paid at least half up front, they wanted £2,500 there and then, I provided proof that I had the funds to pay for it but as it was a Sunday I didn't have access to my money until the following day, I also said that my dog was insured but I was told that all they could do was to give her an antibiotic injection and to take her to my own vets the following day, which, because of her condition she could have been dead by then, luckily a friend loaned me the money, for which I was very grateful so the op went ahead , but when I called later they said I could collect her but I had to pay the rest of the bill which was another £1,500 so I had to ask my friend again, I do understand they have to be careful but as I could prove I had the funds I was appalled by their policy, I had paid my friend back 2 days later and was grateful for her help in my time of need. As I said before all the staff I dealt with were wonderful.

Positive experience: Unfortunately we had to use the emergency vet one night and honestly, apart from the cost and the wait our experience was very positive. All of the staff we saw were so friendly and professional, and they couldn't apologize enough for our wait, which I understood because it was late night/early morning so there was only a limited number of staff. Thank you to whoever was working that night.

Negative experience: No empathy.. just wanted money upfront or would leave our dog to die!! Quoted 2200 which went up to 2600.. we had already asked foe full price before to include all care and meds. They also then decided to drop 2 more bills after we left.

Negative experience: The staff was very kind. But I am very unhappy and disappointed with this emergency service. My cat ate a lace, I was advice to take him with not further instructions. After arrival the vet mentioned that the treatment was to induce a vomit using injections (50/50 chances of him to vomit). To increase the chances it works the vet said it is advice to give them food before visiting (I never received this indications). The second option was to wait he poops and if it doesn't happen, then a surgery will be require (we took him right away precisely to avoid a surgery). I did not receive any more alternatives, and just after I specifically ask for laparoscopic the vet mentioned that it is another options but they do not offer that service. In the end, as you can imagine we paid a lot of money for nothing!! My cat did not vomit and just like that was sent home. He haven't poop, we still very concerned and now it seems we have to pay another fortune to solve this. If we knew from the beginning that the treatment was make him vomit or wait until he poos we will stay at home and take him today to a place where the offer a proper solution.

Negative experience: Absolutely disgrace!. Just come home from taking a rabbit for a consultation due to flystrike. However the vet had decided to carry out the operation and treatment and then demanded a huge sum of money. Expecting us to have that money. We went with the expectations of having an option and prices. There was no consultation or explanation of what was happening. Now we have a rabbit with a wound that needs cream and treatment. This place is disgusting and none professional. No updates on how it was going or what needed to be done. It's been less then 48 hrs since this vet done the procedure now our rabbit has passed away! We have 2 distraught kids!.

Fantastic experience: First time needing to use the out of hours vets. I took my dog down as I was very concerned something was wrong. The staff on site were very accommodating, looked carefully, taking there time. I wasn't rushed and hurried out. They took there time in answering all my queries and worries and sent me home with my mind at ease and a happy dog. Sometimes the cost isn't the be all or end all as pets are our babies after all. Thank you to vets now for being there for us :) pippin and Tanya

Fantastic experience: It’s been almost 12 months since we last used the Emergency vets now service when our 17 week old pup contracted an infection. In the early hours of the night they sorted the problem and grateful for their service. Last weekend, whilst sharing a nice sandwich and coffee at a farm shop/cafe the child close and next to us droped something and our Pup, (now 14 months old) decided go and look. The mother of the child made some remark about he’s eaten some and they’re toxic for dogs. The item? Raisins! We didn’t know whether Chester had or hadn’t eaten actually eaten some and a visit to the emergency vets took place again. They treated him very quickly and confirmed later that he hadn’t eaten any raisins but said in such cases the correct action was taken by us and the vets said it could have saved his life. Apparently just 1 raisin can be just as toxic as a packet full. Again they were brisk in taking action were there when we needed them. Full praise to them for their service. This was a near miss! Thank you Vets Now Coventry.

Fantastic experience: Great experience after my dog had been attacked by another dog whilst walking on the canal. Saw us quickly. It was costly which I expected from an out of hours surgery but they were very good

Fantastic experience: I was kept informed of what treatment my dog needed and an estimate of cost. The staff were friendly, supportive and professional I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again should I need to. A very positive experience

Negative experience: Felt the experience was very cold. I was there no longer than 15 minutes, they were no very helpful, I was very upset and no reassurance of comfort from the staff, my animal was very unwell and they persisted on draging her out on a lead while she was weak on her legs. I was charged 300 in chargers for there service . Would not recommend

Negative experience: I visited your premises afternoon of 9th June. Quickly seen by a vet. My dog was involved in a fight and has injuries to her eye/face ear and neck & .muzzle. I was questioned as to what I had put on the wounds. Which was germolene antiseptic cream. After I had gently cleaned her up as best I could at the time. Asked “who told you to use that”as is for people not dog’s, I thought it was better than nothing , this same vet then told me to give her paracetamol which is also made for people not dogs. All in what 5 mins of consultation. Disgusting I do know from experience that dogs do have people meds. I was expecting a good examination, and wounds cleaned and treated. Then given meds or prescription to bring home. Instead I was told to rinse her off with a hose with cold water. Given one weeks of Synuloxx, and go buy cheapest paracetamol This was my “hospital emergency”. Treatment for my dog, who shakes her head due to the pain ,obviously felt in /around her ear, side punctures to her neck open wound outside of mouth and eye wound. Examine was to just look and saying she had lots of fur! l see feed back on you site reading like this surgery really cared. I saw little of that from the vet and all for the sum of £412.49. How you get good feedback when my dog was left untreated. I understand you cant stitch due to time being late. But you could have tried to make her more comfortable.. needless to say. I will not be recomending this excuse of an animal hospital . And no doubt this will not be place on your feed back page or quickly removed. But I will be letting folk know of-my experience . My way.. I love my dogs and happy to pay. But your service for the very short time I was there, my van engine never got time to cool down. Astronomical charge even for out of hours Sunday time.. Care lacking!!! Mrs. K.wooding.

Negative experience: Took my dog who is epileptic there, in the discussion I asked them not to give her Levetiracetam as it does not suit her, they gave it to her anyway, they didn't even recognise she was agitated and still under the fit. She is now in Willows getting proper treatment and awaiting to see what brain damage there is as she has had at least 27 fits continuously

Fantastic experience: Amazing staff who were incredibly reassuring and kind. They looked after my dog brilliantly and he’s absolutely fine now thanks to the vets quick actions. Cannot rate them high enough.

Fantastic experience: Vets now we're quick and helpful in helping out my cat. Sadly we couldn't save him but they were polite and caring and made the situation easy to deal with.

Positive experience: Experience when i arrived was very good. Saw a lovely vet who was kind and gentle with my poorly pup and gave her an injection to help with the shock she appeared to be in However when we arrived home she started to cry and appeared really scared I recontacted the vet to ask if this could be a side effect of the medication and was told it could be … just think this should have been advised as if would have saved an awful lot of anguish

Jessie Parkhouse Posted on Google 2 years ago

Positive experience: Absolutely brilliant. I was there for just over an hour in total which I think is amazing for an emergency out of hours on a Sunday. Consultation fee is a bit pricey but other then that no complaints

Fantastic experience: In February, I took my wonderful dog Bella to VetsNow emergency vets. She had had a cluster of seizures and we had to drive her 50 minutes to Coventry whilst she had several more in the car. We were extremely distressed by the time we arrived and Bella Boo was barely breathing and was a shell of her normal self. They came outside and took her in as soon as soon as we arrived and they acted with urgency and bravery (despite Bella being covered in lots of disgusting stuff and smelling quite awful). We waited in the reception area whilst they did some tests and pulled us in after 30 minutes. They treated us with kindness and respect despite bringing us into a difficult conversation. They gave us both of the options on what to do and didn't push us into a certain one. Unfortunately, it was very clear that little Bella wouldn't be able to leave with us and they were very supportive through the hard position. They even let us go and say out goodbyes in the room where normally it’s vets only, something that I am eternally grateful for. Weeks after Bella’s passing, we received a handwritten note with some seeds in to plant with Bella which is the most thoughtful thing, it meant a lot to me and my family. I’m overdue in writing this review as It’s quite painful to think back on, but I find solice in knowing that these wonderful, professional and kind vets did everything they could.

Fantastic experience: Had to take our dog into Vet-Now as an emergency on Sunday afternoon, was checked in and seen within 20mins. Full examination completed including bloods and vet explained in full what was the issues and medication given. Reception staff very friendly and caring.

Negative experience: Usually always have a wonderful experience using Vets Now. When calling they assured me that my Rabbit would be seen on arrival due to medical history. When arriving there was one other individual at the vets. My rabbit was taken into the vets after 10minutes to a quieter space, I asked what treatment there would be and they said the vet would speak to me soon. I sat for another hour and 30minutes still not being seen. I spoke to reception and they said "oh we're very busy and we only have one vet". They said there was us and one other patient. I waited another hour to be seen. Within 10minutes of the vet seeing my rabbit, giving injections and prescribing medication to take home, we were leaving. There was no need for us to be waiting there that long for a 10minute consult to leave. Receptionist had no compassion for anyone. Looked like a Vet Nurse was running the place.

Fantastic experience: I had to rush my Gordon Setter there late,he had torn a toenail from his backleg and it wouldn't stop bleeding. The service from when we walked in to when we left was fantastic.

Hannah Carroll Posted on Google 2 years ago

Negative experience: On New Year’s Eve, I took my rabbit in for an emergency appointment as he wasn’t hopping/walking properly. After paying £300 for a consultation, I was ’promised’ my bunny was fine and had just pulled a muscle. Today, I picked up my poor rabbits ashes as he had to be put down only a week later due to kidney failure. I feel myself and my rabbit have been failed by this gross misconduct and I will NEVER return to this vet again. Utterly disgraceful.

Fantastic experience: Our 10 week old puppy had chewed her collar and got a piece of wire holding a bell stuck in her mouth , we tried to get it out but she was going crazy and crying Not knowing what to do I put emergency vet coventry into Google This site came up , so I gave them a ring. The lady calmed me down and rang a local out of hours PDSA Animal Hospital Coundon Coventry and booked an appointment. She told us to make our way straight away and they were waiting for us Fantastic service Thankyou

Fantastic experience: emergency visit as my cat was howling hissing in pain so went to vetsnow. tip to toe exam but her pain was so bad we couldn't decide what was hurting her. so pain relief was given and to follow up at my own vets. I really appreciate the open all hour's as its really needed at times so thank you to all the staff for working the unsociable hours. After 2 visits to my vets it was agreed her back leg was the problem and she's only got one! the other was amputated when she was 1 yr she's now 10 so really need it. rest and pain relief for a week and hopefully she'll be better. xx
