Fantastic experience: Simon and alisa were super knowledgeable and personably and dealt with my out of hours appointment with ease. They were attentive and explained the situation to me and the decisions they were making and why. It is the first time I have properly used the hospital and I wouldn’t have any concerns using them again

Negative experience: Very rude front door staff ( one lady out of three). When I arrived I heard one of them asking if cubbington was close because she was on the phone with a potential customer. The other lady said she did not know . From what I got they are not local ( Leamington spa) I answered because I know the area and also added that there is another Avonvale clinic in cubbington. The rude lady replied without looking at my face that they know well where their clinics are! I sat down in disbelief… I was helping and got a rude answer in return.

Fantastic experience: We had to rush our beautiful dog to the vet hospital last night as he was displaying a few worrying symptoms and had some glucose in his urine (I tested as I myself am diabetic) we initially phoned for advice and the lady who answered (was subsequently the vet we saw) was so calm and caring. We took him in and she walked us through the options of what we would need to do should he be diabetic. She started with a simple blood glucose test which shockingly came back as not abnormal. As I know diabetes, she didn’t push for further tests (as some emergency vets just want £££), just told us to monitor him very closely and come back if needed. She was absolutely incredible and we are so grateful for her. She was so genuinely caring about Dima, we would absolutely return - thank you!!

Fantastic experience: a lovely group of people, and an amazing team. My partner and I had to put our boy ,Jasper, down. Sarah was lovely and informative, gave us options and was patience with us. She understood everything from our point of view with money and time We can’t wait to collect his paw prints, and they had even sent us a card. Thank you for letting Jasper rest peacefully and for making it comfortable for him, and for us. .

Fantastic experience: I have never received 'bad' service from any of the Avonvale vet, and I do highly recommend them, but as usual, the price of tablets is so expensive, unfortunately. If you have pets there is little choice but to take them to a vet when you love then so much.

Fantastic experience: My pet is very important to me, she is a small shitzu pug cross. She is very boisterous and an absolute treasure.she has been looked after by Avon Vale since I have had her, so that’s fifteen years, their service is second to none, don’t take your pet anywhere else her FAVOURITE thing is to run around with a biscuit in her mouth and throw it in the air, its a great game, I May need a goalkeeper to protect the TV. I HAD A Scare last WEEK, WHEN I GOT UP my little Tinker-belle was asleep and instead of jumping up to have her. Morning cuddle, she just went back to sleep I called AvonVale and they said just come in as soon as you can, when I arrived I was invited to a seat in the waiting area and in a couple of minutes the Vet came took us to her room I said I was I was very relieved to hear that Tink was Ok, she just had some muscle damage, in her leg. Some tablets were prescribed and the next day she was back to normal. Thank you AvonVale, you are simply the best Thank you,

Fantastic experience: Emergency admission of a lethargic and sick dog. Vet considered all information I presented and didn't, in my opinion do anything over the top or uncalled for. Even had my urgent test fee refunded when the laboratory were slow to get to work. Only gripe is they use that vile Royal Canin sludge in a tin made from derivatives too low in protein and fat to sustain a mouse*, fairly standard across all vets I believe now. Luckily top vet nurse purchased fresh chicken at my request and was fully reimbursed. Thank you Meg. Pricing wasn't outrageous for a weekend either. * may not be scientifically accurate, mice can survive on almost nothing. Little Enid has made a full recovery and was back at work a week later

Fantastic experience: My daft dog stole some grapes, as soon as I realised I called the vet out of hours number, it was a Sunday afternoon. The phone was answered swiftly, and they saw her and treated her within 45 mins and that includes me getting there. They also helped with the insurance form as I’d never claimed before. Top job, and my furry friend is all good and lives to fight another day!

Fantastic experience: Very impressed with the Pet club service for my cat's routine treatments. Fantastic Vet Hannah gave him a painless injection, plus good clear helpful advice. Reception staff kind and caring too. I feel my cat ,Little Bear, gets first class treatment. Highly recommend this practice

Fantastic experience: Cannot rate Avonvale at Warwick highly enough. Our shiba inu is on their Pet Plan which means all regular treatments and check-ups are taken care of. The team are all highly trained and empathetic so I always feel listened to and leave with expert guidance on the choices available in order to make an informed decision.

Fantastic experience: Just joined Avondale vet practise with Ted our Labradoodle and really pleased. Really helpful receptionist, large, bright and clean waiting area, loads of parking and very caring helpful vet. Also great Health for life plan for Ted. All in all a good move.

Fantastic experience: I witnessed our cat get hit by a car Friday night. She came home with seemingly no injuries bar a scuffed nose and some scuffed claws but very much in shock. Not knowing what to do in this situation I rang Avonvale emergency line and the woman I spoke to (I didn’t get her name unfortunately) was amazing at reassuring myself when i told her how my cat was. She told me signs to look out for during the night that would indicate that my cat needed some form of treatment and she put me on the emergency list just in case I had to ring back up with any new symptoms. Thanks to the advice from this lovely vet we were able to monitor my cat overnight and thankfully no other symptoms surfaced and she seems to have had a lucky escape! I can not thank the vet and Avonvale enough for their reassurance during a very panicky time. I highly highly recommend avonvale as a vet service anyway as both my dog and cat are with them and we receive such amazing care by everyone we have met at the veterinary clinics!

Fantastic experience: I cannot thank this whole team enough! My young cat Storm who was fit and healthy until a few months ago has recently been diagnosed with epilepsy. From my first panicked phoned call in the early hours of the morning when he was having a seizure the vets kept me calm on the phone and advised me what to do. I took him straight into Warwick out of hours and the moment we got there they took great care of storm and went above and beyond to make sure i was okay and help storm in every way they could. He was kept in for the day and i know alot of work goes on behind the scenes by all the nurses ect but it was nice to know storm was in the best hands being looked after and given lots of cuddles ( I got regular phone calls keeping me updated throughout the day) Storm was seen by the vets Alicia and Dannie the times he's been taken in and i cannot fault them both one bit, they explained everything to me with alot of care and explained all the options going forward. I've also phoned with questions while storm has been home and the receptionist Heather was great with helping me get answers and also helped me with sorting out my insurance claim for Storm which definitely put my mind at ease. It was scary time for both myself and storm and everyone at avonvale Warwick really helped us along the way and I'm so so grateful for that. Thank you to every single member of the team at avonvale.

Fantastic experience: My cat was taken here by a witness when a car hit her. It's not my normal vet. They scanned her microchip and called us and then treated her. X-rays, a head CT (found skull fractures, jaw fractures, no brain bleed), bottom of jaw wire, 1x eye removal, insertion of feeding tube, 4 days overnight care and medications. Excellent service and care. £4200 (no insurance). Possibly slightly expensive but the cat would almost certainly have died without them. We are very grateful. One fixed and healed cat... (minus the eyeball!)

Negative experience: Very expensive for any medication. Check what they prescribe and see how much you can buy on-line (if possible) beforehand. £49 for Prinovox, which can be purchased online without a prescription for £16 !!!. I appreciate you are paying for a service, but that’s covered in the additional £60 consultation!!!

Fantastic experience: It was important to us that we found a vets that wouldn’t just tolerate our exempt dog, but would welcome her as they would other dogs and Avonvale have exceeded our expectations every time. We weren’t worried about leaving her in their care for her neutering, and she was looked after so well and was even excited for her post op check up! The receptionists, nurses and vets have been nothing but kind and compassionate towards Obi, and we are so grateful for that. She’s loved every member of the team she’s met so far and we’re so glad she’s had nothing but positive experiences with Avonvale. Thank you! X

Fantastic experience: The team at Avonvale Centres are INCREDIBLE. 13 days ago our beloved young bengal (two today) got shot by an air rifle. The pellet penetrated her abdomen and punctured her small and large intestine in three places. After a long surgery 11 days ago the prognosis wasn’t great. Our cat wasn’t expected to pull through. The care that the team provided was second to none. They went well above and beyond. Not only in their medical expertise but also in staying in touch with us, always being reassuring but completely honest. Avonvale vets and nurses effectively brought our cat back to life!! THANK YOU! We have been very fortunate to have an extremely good insurance as the cost of the care is well (!!!!) into 4 digits. Please do insure your pets so this marvellous team can do all they can for our animal family members! ❤️

Positive experience: My experience of the service and care of my dogs over many years by Avonvale has always been very good. I have taken out health Insurance for Rusty..my present 6 y old dog companion ..which is acceptable to Avonvale for possible future need.

Fantastic experience: I went there with my elderly cat, she was very ill. I was given brilliant advice and decided it was time for her to be put to sleep. The veterinary surgeon was amazing and gave me the time and support i needed. They were very caring and made such a sad moment a memory i will never forget.

Fantastic experience: I unexpectedly had to have my nearly 14 year old dog put down today. Absolutely heartbroken but I would like to thank Simon the vet who dealt with me and my son. He was so kind and let us spend time with her and was nothing but compassionate. We cried alot and it was obvious we were upset. So just a note that the receptionist perhaps needs to be more compassionate when a family has just lost a beloved pet. When paying etc - there seemed little actually care of what we had just been through and it all seemed very cold and a pure transaction . So please Heather, a few words of comfort would've gone a long way. Fly high my Gorgeous girl.

Fantastic experience: The best vets to ever go to so supportive especially on Saturday at 5 when we lost our beautiful cat tango so understanding and helpful the lady vet was so lovely u are a credit to your profession x

Negative experience: Since we only wanted a general check-up for our cat, we were told to do a test at the appointment and the vet wanted to give another appointment AND we were charged 65 Pounds. I can't imagine how much more we would have paid if we had gone for the test as well. Asking for 65 Pounds by visually examining the cat is unprofessional and a business mentality.

Fantastic experience: Wonderfully kind, helpful and knowledgeable vets. When our cat, Snoop, came in aged 18.5 years and off his food, they looked after him brilliantly through his final few days. Sadly, he didn't make it (kidneys, as always), and a few days later we had a hand-written sympathy card from the vet! What more could you ask?

Fantastic experience: Not an exotics vet but the staff are knowledgeable about Syrian hamsters and are honest with the things they don't know as well or are worried of performing, for instance: removing the uterus in a female hamster. My past hamster had pyometra at 2 years old and they were honest saying that it's very rare that they do that surgery, plus her old age and other unknowns would make the chance of survival less than 50%. I deeply appreciated the honesty and empathy. You can see they don't handle the hamster with as much expertise as the Avonvale in Cubbington (in Cubbington they're RCVS accredited for small pets), but I left confident that the vet knew what she was talking about as she answered all my questions, analysed the urine sample I brought and gave me several options for what's next. This is a lovely vet made of lovely people that really seem to enjoy their jobs, care about the animals they're treating and price their service reasonably. If this vet could get more expertise with exotic animals, it would be 6 stars!

Negative experience: Prolonged the life of my terminal cat, exploiting us for money. No honest prognosis, filled us with false hope and had him recovering post hit and run in an oxygen tank under a wall being worked on with hammers by workmen. Whole things was horrific.

Considering it was all very last minute, I could not ask for more. Very impressed with the level of service provided.

Fantastic experience: Called up at 8.35am and got an appointment for my budgie for 10am, the lady on reception was lovely and so patient with me while I was sobbing to her down the phone. Victoria (vet) was so nice and calm and helped me get him proper help. Since our visit, he's started his medicine and started to perk back up more singing and chirping away cannot thank them enough!

My dog had a particularly bad accident where she had to go in twice a week for a few weeks and the staff and vets really helped her - she wasn't scared at all when she had to go in. She was nursed back to health. Would highly recommend.

I can always get appointments very quickly, I've never had to wait more than a couple of hours when I've wanted to see someone same day. Even at the weekend. Ailsa even called me at 19:30 to give me some test results and stayed on the phone with me for over 20 mins explaining everything very clearly. I cannot recommend highly enough

Fantastic experience: Best vets ever! We signed up to Avonvale during the puppy boom, it was simply the closest vet that would accept Rodney (poochy) on their books (we are based in Birmingham). The staff (vets & receptionists) are very friendly and knowledgeable. They never string out treatment and always go straight to the solution that will get your pooch feeling better the quickest. We have tried other vets since and they simply don't compare and we still travel 40 mins from Birmingham when our pooch needs to see the vet.
