Fantastic experience: I can't speak highly enough about this vets! Sadly my beautiful girl hit the bridge yesterday evening, they tried everything they couldn't and the mounting bill felt like it had slack! We had been with a large mainstream vet and 4 my mistakes I think we wasted time and more so money as everything was far more expensive! Support the independents and our other girl will go nowhere else. Thank you for trying and most of all, for caring

Negative experience: Used to use Towerwood religiously but my last 2 visits with guinea pigs have been poor, with both ‘consultations’ essentially recommending I take them to Holly House Exotics (which I do anyway, I just couldn’t get an appointment soon enough as he needed seeing). If your staff aren’t experienced enough to deal with certain animals, don’t offer appointments for those animals (and charge for a ‘consultation’ which suggests you go elsewhere). Don’t worry Towerwood, I will be doing from now on. 2 stars given rather than 1 because the staff behind the desk were lovely and pleasant.

Fantastic experience: What can I say These vets and staff are absolutely fantastic. Pandora the bunny is a firm favourite with the staff. They have seen us a few times in the last few weeks, due to Pandora's own cet not doing dental treatments. Pandora has been a star patient even yesterday when he had a tooth removal which hopefully will be fine.

Fantastic experience: Travelled to Leeds specifically for dog vasectomy - not many places offer this. Excellent service from zoom consultation to discuss procedure before booking, to pet and owner care. They deserve their outstanding RCVS status for client care. I would take my dogs here if I lived locally. Thank you to all at the practice.

Fantastic experience: These vets are fantastic, they helped a lot with one of our dogs who was seriously ill. We had been to a previous vet that just didn't listen to what we were saying and caused more problems. Towerwood saved our dogs life, very grateful.

Negative experience: Its all about the money, insurance. It has taken me over 6 months to be able to write this review. My poor cat Mavis was seen 3 times by Iris a vet, last October to December 2024. Mavis was hiding, losing weight and her paw was clearly not well. Degloved I was told. I visited a 4th time and requested a different vet. Diagnoses, Mavis has cancer. It was clearly too late. No blood tests offered to confirm. £2,500 bill to investigate. Heatbroken at the lack of treatment or empathy Mavis recieved. I will never take a pet to this practice again.

Fantastic experience: I would definitely continue to recommend TowerWood! All the staff members are friendly and in the couple of appointments / health checks we have had I have always felt listened to and that I have been given enough information to make an informed decision. Booking appointments is really easy on their website and when I needed a same day appointment they were really helpful, they have some good monthly pet health programmes which are really useful. Peggy also love a trip to the vets because she’s always made such a fuss of! Thanks Towerwood!

Fantastic experience: I have every confidence in the vets at Towerwood Vets.Milo my Ridgeback/ MastiffX is 14 yrs of age and has Arthritis in his rear left leg and goes every month for his injection . The staff are brilliant and when my Late Border Collie / Grmn Shepherd X went she would always sit on the bench with me making noises ( Greeting anyone who walked through the main door). Sadly Aleisha passed nearly 6 yrs ago . My pussycat Tizzy passed 3 yrs ago and the vet was very kind and agreed Tizzy had passed to Saddle Thrombosis.

Fantastic experience: We had our first visit to Tower Wood this morning with our 10 week old puppy, the vet who saw us was so lovely and patient with him (and us!). we can definitely see ourselves sticking with this practice for as long as we can, especially with their pet health plans seemingly saving money in the long run.

Negative experience: The vets are great but the prices are extortionate! 38 quid to send you a prescription. Also they would only give out a prescription for half the time as my previous vets while charging 50 percent more

Fantastic experience: Amazing forward thinking veterinary practice. We travel down from Scotland every year to get our two dogs health checked and address any issues that may arise. It is so refreshing to be able to discuss all the different approaches to treatment and care using an holistic approach knowing we are helping to give our dogs the very best of care and a happy healthy life.

Fantastic experience: We are very satisfied with the services of this veterinary office, they take care of all animals very attentively and caringly. We made a good choice to choose this office even though it is 30 minutes from our house.

Negative experience: Terrible experience. Not the first time to have issues but this is getting too much. Every time i visit they increase price. Took there more than 20 kittens and there was issues more times and never could be sorted by them. Last one i booked for vaccination and got a full price on phone, double checked more times for all 3 kittens, and after they got the first vaccine i was told it is double. So supposed to pay 214 extra which is not acceptable and the only thing they can do is say sorry and can not do anything about it. The phone conversations are recorded so could have checked that who told this false information but did nothing. Going for just the money. Would not recommend at all!

Fantastic experience: Amazing practice with outstanding staff! The genuine care and commitment from all the staff from front of house reception through to vets given to the pets is fantastic, and they always go the extra mile. Andra is an outstanding vet who went above and beyond looking after my boy following a complex op- she gave personal tailored care to my boy consistently checking in and genuinely cared about my dog- thank you so much Andra! Reception make a point of knowing your pet and giving them a warm and reassuring welcome when they arrive. They even have a rabbit specialist, Nurse Lucy, who is amazing with all pets! Thank you, Towerwood, for being a fantastic practice with staff bending over backwards to help owners and their furry babies!

Fantastic experience: Review from our visit in October. We managed to get a last minute appointment to see the Vet with our poorly hamster. Unfortunately she had to be put down but the Vet we saw was very compassionate and allowed us time to say goodbye which was much appreciated by my daughter. We also got a sympathy card through the post the following week which I thought was a lovely touch. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Towerwood Vets provide a fantastic service. I have my dog registered at the practice and I would never go anywhere else. The vets are knowledgeable, caring and explain everything in a reassuring manner. The nurses are also excellent and extremely knowledgeable. The staff are always welcoming and it is very easy to get an appointment, whether pre-booked or emergency. The Practice is very transparent with cost and offer the Pet Plan which is very cost effective. I really trust them with my pet and they always provide such a brilliant service. Edit - Towerwood have just done a complex surgery on my pet, Bertie, and they were amazing. From start to finish they have been so supportive and cared for my Frenchie as if he’s their own. They are truly brilliant.

Fantastic experience: Amazing Vets! Molly is not a big fan, but the vet, Mathew was absolutely fantastic when Molly was due her jabs. He even came out to the car to give her, her jabs so she didn't get stressed out. We saw Mathew again a month later for an injury to her nail and again, I couldn't have wished for a better service. You need to hang on to him! All the vets nurses were also fabulous.

Negative experience: Good for taking care of my pets but the staff can be judgmental, the prices are too high, and I'm always waiting ages to be seen too when I'm on time for my appointments

Negative experience: Zero stars would be more appropriate! Towerwood Vets in Cookridge are a rip off! The practice has been taken over by Independent Vetcare Ltd (who have taken over a huge number of other practices). Prices are ridiculous and the staff have in my opinion been trained to put profits before animal welfare. When I put in my first insurance claim, payments for consultation fees were reduced by £15.50 per consultation as deemed excessive. Towerwood who charge £59.50 per consultation for often less than 15 mins work, did seem excessive so thankfully we moved to an independent vet practice Leeds Veterinary Centre in Crossgates who charge £45 per visit. An X-ray at Towerwood cost £703.50 (one X-ray) +Lab profile & diagnostic fees of £222.50 whereas LVC charged £397.96 (four X-rays, diagnosis included). To top it all Towerwood charged a £19 admin fee to submit my insurance claim, which then jumped to £22.50 a few months later for the second claim, whereas LVC kindly submitted this for free. Towerwood also took over 2 weeks to submit the claim only doing it after I rang up to chase! Most importantly Towerwood seemed very keen to amputate our cats leg (at a silly price) whereas LVC have offered alternative medication and he is now happily running around on all 4 legs again - we are so glad we moved vets!

Fantastic experience: I had a vet appt for my two cats yesterday, Rocky-Megan and Roger-Moore with my homeopathic vet Brendan Clarke. As always Brendan made it so enjoyable and worthwhile, and as always he was so polite and attentive. He is an assett to the vetinary world and genuinely cares about the health if all animals. Very professional, and caring . I couldn't ask for a better vet for my cats. My cats love him. :) Again as always the rest of the staff were gracious and friendly and polite too. Fantastic experience: We have taken our 2 Border Terriers to Towerwood since we got them 7 years ago and all tge vets and staff have been great - from helping the dogs to socialise at puppy parties to saving their lives, not to mention the on-going regular care. Love them. SEVEN more years on from the above and we are still going to Towerwood! With 14 year old dogs the concerns and prroblems are different but we still trust in the care. Prices have risen dramatically, but that is true of most veterinary practices offering a reliable service. We run a Tax Consultancy and have seen several cases recently where Vet practices are taken over by or join large umbrella organisations. This will have ramifications on the business side but as long as the vets and nurses are loving and caring, it is really just the way of the world! Keep up the good work!

He was kind, gentle and made a fuss of her, consults are on the pricey side but you receive honest advice without being sold every test/product under the sun. Fantastic experience: I’ve been using this vets for over 10 years witg my older girl who sadly passed and now my 2 year old worker who is far too excited not only did we get vet care but a bit of advice in different walks etc to try tire her out (working cocker spaniel) it’s a challenge

Positive experience: I can find suitable time for appointment easily. My cat is aggressive and Vet had to make vaccination little fast so my cat’s vaccination area became little swelling for 4-5 days but it gone now. So, great clinic✨

Fantastic experience: Registered with this vets as a precautionary measure as I frequently stay with relatives in the area and bring my cat. Had to use them this week and I’ve got to say they are the best vets I’ve ever been to in over 30 years of visiting vets. Why were they the best? Difficult to put into words but see the below for some key points. Reception very helpful friendly, professional, polite and efficient. I liked the detailed bill so I know what I paid for. I don’t have insurance as I’m happy to self fund. They are open till 7pm Mon to Fri as well as being open both Sat and Sun, which is always a bonus because my cat is never unwell during normal office hours! The vet we saw was kind, considerate and we were not rushed. I felt like he fully observed my cat, while he listen to me and give her a thorough examination. It felt like very holistic approach, which I like. He explained everything he was doing, why and showed a great deal of respect and care towards my cat. He understood that it can be difficult to administer tablets to cats, which some other vets I’ve seen do not seem to comprehend. We were offered advice for when we went home regarding diet etc. I’m summary I wish all vets were like this. Im self funding rather than insurance and like it was good value for money given the exceptional level of service.

Negative experience: Sold their soul to the devil. There seems to be a company purposely going around and buying up as many of the local Independent vets as they can and then inflating the veterinary fees astronomically. Towerwood Vets are one of those that have let themselves down. I wish I could write them a good review, but when it looks you're more interested in following the cash over care, your probably in the wrong profession. Let's not kid ourselves here, when your charging circa £35 per consultation but decide its not enough so increase it to £50 then you have your 30% markup on prescription medication or £16 just to write a prescription so your customers can try buy the medication online to keep their insurance premiums down, you're entering in to the pure greed category. Towerwood now owned by two directors who share over 386 directorships via local independent vets they have taken over. I won't be putting my business through them anymore. My advice is do your research before joining them or any other vets. If they're registered to "The Chocolate Factory Keynsham, Bristol, BS31 2AU, Avoid...

Fantastic experience: The staff are fantastic and Buster loves to go to see them. Always gets a fuss made of him and nothing is ever too much trouble. They always go above and beyond to explain everything clearly so I know that they have Busters best interest at heart . Top class lovely people

Fantastic experience: My 3 pets have been seen and treated by Towerwood vets in Leeds over last 4 years. Always understanding and kind staff members and I am thankful for my friend who recommended this place. I was always able to discuss a few possible options for treatments and was able to see a vet when needed more urgent care for my cat and dogs.

Fantastic experience: I have been using Towerwood Vets now for three years, they are very well adversed in animal welfare, the knowledge the care and love they show to our beloved pets is on anouther level truly! My pet loves them all and can not wait to be among the nurse's and vets, he never shows any signs of stress and he has more problems than most animals will endure. Spine and disk issues, Cancer, Stomach issues. But he is still here living his best. I really cannot praise these lovely disciples of animal care enough, I owe them much more than a vet bill.... They really have to quite simply be..... THE BEST .

Fantastic experience: Explained everything clearly to me. Treated my dog with kindness and a boat load of treats while she was getting her shots and microchip. Would recommend as a vet to anyone.

Negative experience: The vets are fine. Professional, does the job... for a price. Unfortunately the prices really let this practice down. Other vets are much more competitive. I would also find the same tests being recommended every visit for my cat because it is "underweight" (but she has been underweight all her life- she is simply a small cat!). Everything feels like a grab for money, and I know for a fact that the treatments can be easily obtained elsewhere at a fraction of the price.

Negative experience: Absolutely terrible service, only interested in making money, my dog died last week, had been to the vets on Saturday morning with breathing difficulties, they did nothing, he died that night

Negative experience: The usual British experience of getting an appointment but never actually getting to see someone till 20/30 mins later why hand out so many appointments then expect all your customers to wait for something that’s not cheap ??

Negative experience: No issues with the vets or staff and the treatment of our dog, it’s all been good. It is often busy and you often have to wait, waiting room isn’t that big and can be a problem if you have reactive animals. The big issues is that they don’t work directly with insurers so you have to fork out the full cost of a treatment as people know this can be thousands of pounds and then they get in touch with you insurance and you have to wait to be paid back by them. I know they’re not the only ones that operate like this but there are plenty that will work directly with your insurer so if you can’t afford to pay out I would strongly recommend searching for other vets in the area that won’t take money off you until your insurance provides payment.

Negative experience: Been meaning to write this review for ages.. I went to them with the view to possibily using them as a vets as nearby me. But quickly changed my mind.. what an utter rip off.. cost me £162 for them to look at my dogs paw - slight skin condition. They charged me £48 just to trim a tiny bit of the hair off to see the sore! (this was on top of the £62 consultation fee!) £52 for some cream you can get on internet for £20. Absolutely disgusting!! Beware if you are thinking of going there! More care on how much money that they can get out of you rather than care for your pet I think. No wonder animals get left to suffer because some owners can't afford the prices!! (including me!)
