Fantastic experience: They literally saved my dogs life 2 years ago and she's doing amazing now. I Took my other dog in for an emergency app today and recieved the brilliant service we've grown accustomed to. Please be patient with them though, they're very much in demand and do a wonderful job with the very little they have.

Fantastic experience: A good clinic, I have no complaints. My cats were neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated there. The registration process is a bit hard to get through because the website isn’t very intuitive. Overall, I recommend it.

Negative experience: I asked my mum to take my cat to the vet, as I was working. She took him and was advised his diabetes had worsened, and some bloods would be needed. He had the bloods taken and the vet told her to come back with him the following day to DISCUSS the results and decide on treatment. Now this is the important part: It was mentioned that perhaps euthanasia may need to be discussed in the future, but she didn’t once say it would actually happen the following day. My mum went back with him the following day and the vet told her that the bloods didn’t look good, and the options were to have him stay overnight with a drip, or put him to sleep. My mum told the vet he was not her cat, and could not decide without speaking to me so the vet told her to call me. I was in the midst of a 2 hour meeting when this happened so couldn’t answer. My mum explained this to her and said she would bring him home to me and I can call them to let them know once I finish work. The vet then told my mum she could not let her leave with him, as it would be unethical and she would need to put him to sleep. As she couldn’t get hold of me, my mum had no choice but to do what the vet said and he was put to sleep. She then charged my mum £25 for the consultation and a further £25 for putting him to sleep, against our wishes. It would have been £140 to bury/cremate him and my mum didn’t know what to do without asking me so all she could do was take his dead body home to me. I am in no way saying he shouldn’t have been put to sleep, and had I been there, I likely would have agreed. BUT, my mum was essentially tricked into taking him there by the vet telling her it would be nothing more than a conversation. Thus, robbing me of the chance to say goodbye and euthanising him without my consent. He was eating, drinking, meowing and playing just a few hours before the appointment and a few more hours so I could say goodbye would not have harmed him any further. For years I donated to PDSA, and I made the mistake of registering him here after our old practice closed down; believing as they were a charity for animals, they would take good care of him. I am absolutely disgusted.

Fantastic experience: Took my little kitty here for his jabs staff were very nice and polite The vet was very reassuring and gave him a full check up it's nice to donate to a good charity and will keep doing so

Josh Edwards Posted on Google 4 months ago

Positive experience: Must admitt for a free service ran on donations this place is a life saver however the system used in the pharmacy could do with a rework if my maths are right it's open 4 hours a day 9-11 then 1-3 with closure for breaks in-between 15 minutes I'd personally have breaks planned during the closure times to lessen disruption in the pharmacy but that's just me

Lorraine Wilson Posted on Google 4 months ago

Fantastic experience: Have to say the staff here are absolutely fabulous. Sometimes you have to wait a while to see the vet because they get a bit behind with each patient, but they do get to you eventually.

Beth Catton Posted on Google 4 months ago

Fantastic experience: Vets are absolutely amazing the staff went beyond for my cat yesterday with castrated and microchip and checked his ears for me i appreciate everything you did thankyou so much

Rob Posted on Google 4 months ago

Negative experience: Tried to ring PDSA Leeds to ask if they could reuse some of my recently deceased dogs medication. I tried three times using the phone system to choose the correct option and each time I was told to go online or send an email. At one point I was listening to the woman for three and a half minutes before it cut me off. I was also surprised to hear that Emergency Appointment was not option 1. Safe to say, it appears that there is nobody at PDSA that I can speak to and so this medication is now going to go in the bin instead of helping families receive affordable care for their pets. Shameful.

Negative experience: killed my friends dog and wouldnt help her live, they injected her with something, she came home was foaming from the mouth, was crying for hours and couldnt breathe, they wouldnt treat her though for no reason at all. Worlds worst vet

Sylwia Polom Posted on Google 5 months ago

Negative experience: Reading some of the negative reviews, I couldn't quite believe it was that bad, until I saw it for myself. I will never, ever set foot in that place with my beloved dog. How could anyone not help the dog? It's best to say that the best solution is to put him to sleep. It was a terrible experience for me.

Jimmy Posted on Google 5 months ago

Fantastic experience: Great team that were very helpful in an emergency

Gill Robson Posted on Google 6 months ago

Fantastic experience: In a person's time of need to give a pet help, everyone here knows and feels what you are going through. Personal feelings are always understood and help for your pet is 100% . But please donate as many thousands of pets need help too. And some people can't afford to pay. I get free treatment for my pet, but I still pay the maximum I can because without pdsa, lots of pets would no longer be here. Pay, even a little can go a long way.

Negative experience: I wouldn’t even give it one star, but I have to so I can be able to post this and let people know what’s going on and what I have been going through coming to this PDSA branch absolutely hate this PDSA branch and some of the vets are not gentle with my pet and start tipping cat carrier upside down and shaking it to get him out which then makes him so nervous and stressed. My pet was literally shaking so much cos he was scared. Horrible ratty vets only is i could hurt them but i am there for my pet to get him better. They are not gentle with him at all they do not care. This is happened to me so many times and i am sick to death. If i say anything to the vets they said to trust them i will 100% never trust any of them vets nasty humans. Half of time they don’t even clean the wounds of my pet and start ripping out the wounds that was healed not gently but they are so rough where he is so scared of them. They think they know my pet they do not. They need to be more qualified. They don’t know anything or don’t even know how to handle a pet Gently they have to be so rough but if people did that to their pet. How would they like it?even the staff at reception are so rude and will shout at you for no reason even if your nice to them and speak to them reasonably And they will still end the call on you when you’re trying to get help for your pet. Honestly, I’d rather go to a private vet and being in debt than go into that PDA branch ever again Because I will lay my hands on them vets if they Start shaking the pet carrier up Side down again!!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: I sadly had to have my beloved dog Rio put to sleep this morning due to cancer and the staff were amazing, kindness itself and kept me informed through the process,I was able to stay with him until he had passed and say my goodbyes .Thank you PDSA

Melissa Dixon Posted on Google 9 months ago

Fantastic experience: Spotlessly Clean, fully accessable for wheelchair users, friendly welcoming staff, plenty of space to manoeuvre, expert advice given and excellent 5star after care. On site pharmacy also reasonably priced products. Vets are the best with full compassion. The only down side is the car park is a little small

rachel king Posted on Google 9 months ago

Negative experience: My dad asked for help for his dying cat and they refused to help. She was dying infront of my dad and they didn't help.

Damian Strudley Posted on Google 10 months ago

Fantastic experience: The staff have been amazing over the years that we have been going to this veterinary hospital... Ample parking included disabled parking. Easy access, clean and tidy inside and out.. Friendly staff who are willing to help.. sorry to see some clientele not happy about the policy and process to be seen.. it's not the front desks fault.. Always had a long wait but that's to be expected with the amount of people and pets attending The vets have always been very informative and precise when explaining information, prescriptions and procedures.. Thank you for all the team for helping with Tasha...

Negative experience: Rang Sunderland,to add my budgie to Leeds PDSA, she was lovely and said my budgie needs looking at,rang Leeds PDSA, absolutely horrible, firm voice saying are you wanting treatment or wanting my budgie put to sleep, wouldn't even offer me an appointment, what kind of humans are these, obviously in the wrong job,no heart, lovely woman in Sunderland who added my budgie said she needs checking over but Leeds are disgusting!!! won't even look at my budgie

Paul White Posted on Google 10 months ago

Fantastic experience: I taken my sister in law to get her dog checked out for a possible infection we were there about a hour very professional caring people and quickly seen to very good place to take your pet

Simone Clapham Posted on Google 11 months ago

Positive experience: It's ok but if you don't go for a while they remove you off their list which to me is totally and utterly wrong

Lucy Walker Posted on Google 11 months ago

Fantastic experience: Seen to all our pets over the years. We as a family have been so grateful to have these people seeing to our beloved pets while needed through their lives. Still use them today so grateful to have them

Runa Arub Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: The receptionist is dismissive, unhelpful, and rude. I’ve repeatedly experienced micro-aggressions at this PDSA. My mother has also experienced micro-aggressions on separate occasions too. The receptionist is not shy in hiding her racism, she will blatantly be rude to anyone who is not white and then be incredibly helpful and inviting to those that are. In a place people go to seek help and support for their beloved pets, they create a hostile environment. The whole team should be ashamed of themselves. I’m not one to leave a negative review, but to be met with racism every single time I visit this PDSA, I have honestly had enough. The lady at the reception, you’re a horrible and pathetic excuse for a human being. I’ve also had a horrible experience with a vet here too. She was awfully arrogant and dismissive. She disregarded everything I was saying about MY cat regarding his behaviour and symptoms, not to mention she was being rough when handling him too. Claiming he is aggressive when she’s gripping him directly on his wound. Quick tip, maybe don’t place a tight grip on a cat where he’s been hurt and then he won’t growl in retaliation! I can handle the disgusting attitude and racism of the receptionist, I have been a minority my entire life, but for a VET to man-handle my cat it’s seriously too far. Do better. I’m even hesitant in writing this review in case they begin to treat my pet even worse as a consequence. I certainly wouldn’t put it past them.

Amy Finan Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: They only give a toss about dogs. Called them for advice, to be told my pet needed a c-section but they wouldn't do that, they'd just put her to sleep. The woman who answered the phone, who's telephone manner was shocking by the way, said 'the vet will see her but only put her to sleep'. If they'd see her anyway, why not try and help? Absolutely vile.

Kausira Chaudhry Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: The lady at the reception was rude to me. I was the only Asian peoples and she was rude to me only.

sharon vincent Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Staff very friendly looked after my dog who needs surgery

Julie McArdle Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: Never went just looked up location and phoned to see if I could take my cat there, they make it difficult for someone who can only just afford to pay Thier fees

Charlotte Whitaker Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Nothing but great things to say about pdsa Leeds! These people saved my baby! Without these lively vets/nurses he wouldn’t be here today. He spent 4 days with pdsa and he was shown so much love. The receptionist staff were lovely as were the pharmacy staff. Absolutely amazing service thankyou to everyone who works here

Kevin Dickinson Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Polite.made to feel welcome.didnt have to wait long for vet to see my dog.Vet was very informative.A very good experience.

Andrew Ward Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: Took my 16 year old dog here bout a lump to say they will ring on 2 Jan waited for phone call just rang as not had phone call to be told I've got to pay £24for the call why not tell me this when I was at vet just before Christmas

John eastwood Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Fantastic looked after my dog and cat on separate occasions would recommend

Samantha Peace Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: PDSA was clean and tidy. No nasty smalls either. I used to find it was a bit smelly in there years ago, but it definitely doesn't now. The vet I saw with my kitten was lovely. She explained what the lump on her back was and that it would fade over next few weeks, which it did. She also also asked if I was planning on getting her spayed which I said yes I was. She then proceeded to tell me about an offer they had on atm with CPL. So if I booked and paid for ut there and then it would only cost me £10. I booked it and I paid £30 which to me is still a massive saving, as my local vets had quoted me £157. I'd already started saving towards it and had £30 saved so I just gave them all of it. They've always been nice at the Leeds PDSA. I've been going to them for well over 20 years now and have never had a problem with them. They even now offer low cost treatment for 2nd pets or low wage families. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is eligible.

Suzanne Beal Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Great place. I trust them not to rip you off. I don't know what I would do without them. Thanks PDSA.

Rebecca Smith Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: My dad took his 16yo Jack Russell in as he was off his food and water. They ran some tests and unfortunately found out his liver and kidneys had started to fail so he was put to sleep, vet staff were incredibly understanding and caring supporting my dad through it all and even postponed the process so he could facetime me so I could say good bye to him before they did it as I was at work

Keith Best Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Very helpful and the vet fully explained his reasoning behind his diagnosis and no trying to sell us into other treatments

Jonne Goodaire Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: I think this service is absolutely fantastic but I do feel a little bit discriminated as this service is not available to everyone just because I work don’t mean that I can afford vet bill so don’t think that it really fair that my animals can get the same treatment just because I work I would happily give a donation if everyone was treated the same

April Wheatley Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Very good customer service. All the members of staff are so nice and respectful

Janet Rhodes Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: First time I have used PDSA they were very helpful got Dot to see a vet straight away who was so kind and put us all ease we would like to thank all the staff and vets for there kindness today

Ian Ashworth Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Absolute wizards at this place, I have been using them for years with my dog Misty and they provide the best care I could possibly ever ask for. These people are absolute saints and I love you all :)

milagros González.C Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: I did not know about the existence of this hospital. I arrived desperate and crying with my 7-year-old pet Chihuahua. I did not speak the language. They were super kind and very patient. Angie underwent surgery and was sterilized. The entire staff was kind. This hospital really saves pets' lives. You could see the dedication and love in their work. We are and will be very grateful for the good care. I apologize for any mistakes. I wrote through a translator.

K Fletch Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Absolutely lovely people. They provide such an important service. The building was clean and tidy. The vet was informative and very helpful. Dispensary and reception staff were polite and friendly.

Deborah Walsh Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: Really tough writing this review. The receptionist is a horror story.as are the nurses and never saw a vet. My 11yo CKCS needed help whilst in stroke. The paperwork and standing at the desk. Horrid. If you love your dog and need help they will die in your arms awaiting their process. They’re just heartless staff paid to do a process and they don’t care about providing service to a poorly dog. Having donated for years - no more money from me. The employees are not concerned a dot about animals as it’s just a job to them. May as well work on TK MAX. After an hour I took my baby and drove him to another vets on advice from the nurse there at PDSA who saw him without doing any assessment. If you love your dog and are in an emergency situation. Please don’t go there.it will waste valuable time. Ps. Receptionist is horrid.

Becci Holmes Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: I cannot thank the team enough at this pet hospital. Took so much care of my pet (mog) needing a tail amputation. In comparison to private vets who just wanted my money! they went above and beyond for him. Treated us both with the care and compassion. I for one will be donating to pdsa Leeds directly moving forward. Thank you all for your amazing work.

mia godward18 Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: Wether it’s a baby bird or not You shouldn’t refuse care to an injured animal what exactly do you do with The public’s money ??? No advise just basically “leave it it’s nature” wow never again will i ask a place whose supposed to care for animals for help and advice to help them thankyou for nothing anyways !

Robert Hancock Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Had to put my old dog to sleep great service great aftercare and looked after my old dog I really appreciated everything they did

ROYALDEFENDER Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Lovely people doctor's receptionist and assistants.. they doing well job look after you and yours pet's 100% recommend

Stephen McNally Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: One of the doctors is Dr. Death. She refuses to do most things and will talk down to you during the consultation. I think she has a serious personality issue. Refused to cut my cats over grown nails as apparently cats shed their claws and they shouldn't ever need cutting. I haven't been spoken to like a child since school, her body language is abysmal and if she were my member of staff she would be getting sacked for her non existent customer service. She clearly hates the job, maybe time for retirement or a change love.

Andy Snarski Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: I registered with them because I am part time employee so I would get help with a bill. If you are on Universal Credit with housing benefits, you could get free dog’s vaccination. Unfortunately, they don’t do it for free. They told me to pay £40 per dog. Why do they still advertise this free vaccination when it costs £40?

Katie King Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: Absolute disgrace took my French bulldog in because she woke up really poorly, the pdsa said she was over heating I paid £140 for her to be put on a drip for the afternoon to be told her temperature wasn't going down so they did some scans. They found out she had pyometra which is really dangerous and was leading to sepsis. All they need to do was spay my dog but they refused and said all they would do is book her in to be put to sleep. I then found a vets that would do the surgery the same day so told them would be there to pick her up in ten minutes and to have her ready. When we got to the pdsa they had us sat waiting for 45 minutes even though they neq she needed urgent surgery or she would die but yet they was delaying in releasing her. They also bust her vein inserting the drip yet the next vets I took her to didn't leave no mark on her not even any blood on her fur. The pdsa are disgrace and do not properly care for your animals I would suggest people pay for animal insurance and use a vet that will care for your animals because the pdsa do not.

Julie Clark Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: We wouldn't have our cat right now if wasn't for the pdsa. They were absolutely brilliant, thanks to all the staff there don't know what we would have done had it not been for all your effort.

Drew Abbott Posted on Google 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: A great service. New pay system works out fair for each case rather than a blanket price.

Dominic Posted on Google 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: Great explain everything and caring always a great experience I was at two private vets but they where no way at the standard of pdsa they where only interested in how much money they could get

Tony Bould Posted on Google 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: Very good to the dog and treatment was very good for her she has been a lot better this week hopefully she will last another week

Bridget Dolan Posted on Google 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: Took Ted in with a sore eye and a much bigger issue was detected within minutes. Amazing staff. Thank you so much

Oskar Buler Posted on Google 2 years ago

Negative experience: Inatead of giving my pet prescription for 3 months they require an appointment (£20) every month, customer service is horrible, hanged up my call after 20 minutes of waiting, one person on email said one price whilst the price in reality was way higher.

Katie Plows Posted on Google 2 years ago

Negative experience: Book an appointment and don’t even get seen on time it was 1 hour and 50 minutes over the appointment time until we was seen and it was supposed to be an emergency appointment as my cat was bleeding after being bitten by a dog in the meanwhile was people going in and out with dogs and cats for check ups after surgeries which I wouldn’t class as an emergency!

Joseph Posted on Google 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: I was very grateful for what they did for me and I was happy with the service I would recommend it to anyone who got a pet thanks pdsa

kelly Mckernan Posted on Google 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: Great experience with a caring vet for my 14yr old Lola. Bonus he was the spit image of Jack sparrow.

Shannon S Posted on Google 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: I had to make the hardest decision of my life and have my dog put to sleep 2 days ago. The vets at PDSA were amazing and this was my first time using them after having my beloved dog for 10 years. They completely took their time with the procedure, let me have plenty of alone time with her and time to say my final goodbye as well as after she was gone. How they treated and spoke to you just made you feel so at ease, so gentle and friendly throughout. I couldn’t thank them enough for their service

Fiona Richmond Posted on Google 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: Over my life I have had many times when I have needed the PDSA when I’ve been unemployed. The treatment is excellent, as good if not better than at any other vet. When I had to have 2 old dogs put down (several years apart) due to terminal illnesses the staff were brilliant! Discreet and sympathetic, both times we were allowed time alone to say goodbye and it wasn’t done until we were ready. Knowing how busy they are and how many other demands for their time they must have had, there was no hint of impatience or hurry and they made such distressing events as easy as is possible, for which the PDSA staff in Leeds will always have my family’s gratitude. Visits with minor problems have always been given the care and attention that usually comes with a large bill so I hope my donations have been sufficient to cover costs as I know they can’t repay the care given. Thank you PDSA for being there for those who need you ! Fiona, Tyla, Bez, Panda, Luna, Loki and my children.

Craig Lee Posted on Google 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: Did a brilliant job fixing my young cat charlie up after his accident. Will be making regular donations from now on.

Claire Britton Posted on Google 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic service, got my kitten in straight away for an emergency as she cut her paw, the staff are so friendly and reassuring.

Gavin Lansell Posted on Google 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: They was polite and very helpful with my daughters 8 puppies she took there thank you again

Kevin Beck Posted on Google 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: First time used in 15 years and they do an absolutely First class job helping there clients

David Tempest Posted on Google 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: They are caring and give you every help they can. That's why people should give what they can when taking there pets to them. Me for one thinks it's right that they charge the £20 to talk to them.

Mark Atkinson Posted on Google 2 years ago

Positive experience: Pain in the butt getting an appointment and considering it's supposed to be a charity with a "pay if you can afford it" scheme but they make it so you're forced to donate unless you want humiliating in front of everyone by the receptionist

Katie Garland Posted on Google 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: I am giving pdsa 5* because they really do deserve it. I took my poorly kitty to vets and the staff were so friendly, sadly I had to have my kitty go to heaven but if it wasn't for the ladies who helped her, my kitty would of died by weekend, they were so kind, I asked if I could take some of her fur home with me and they put some in a bag for me, as well as prints of her paws and face, I honestly can't thank these vet nurses enough for their help, I am in process of having my cat cremated with the help of pdsa. Thank you at pdsa for your support.

hayley carter Posted on Google 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: Took my cat here as exhausted my finances with private vets. They are very busy which is understandable but cared for my cat way better than vets for pets which was 3 times the price

Amanda Smith Posted on Google 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: The Vets and staff are very busy so sometimes it can a while for you to be seen. However, they are great with my dogs, and my dogs love them. So I'm a happy pet Mum.

sharon mcphail Posted on Google 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: Brilliant service and donate more ppl if you can great service and I know alot off ppl crt afford to donate but others that can plz donate its not far to take this service for granted thankyou...

Stephanie Thomas Posted on Google 3 years ago

Negative experience: Took my cat here as he was skinny 1st vet said liver failure put him down, luckily didn't take advice! I gave them a urine sample the next day and saw a better vet who told us he has over active thyroid!, Another time recently I got emergency advice because another one of my cats bloated suddenly they told me put her on dry diet chicken etc went else where she was diagnosed with lymphoma!!

Vickie Cotton Posted on Google 3 years ago

Positive experience: Lovely staff with my American bulldog. He's had a bad experience with a previous vets. They was so good with him.

Fantastic experience: Amazing staff, friendly, caring and do anything they can fro you and your pet. Unfortunately my male cat was hit by a car and was in a bad was. They still tried to see if they could save him but he was too injured. They were so sympathetic and even after closing time they let me stay with him until I was ready to say goodbye. Honestly they are amazing!

Fantastic experience: Excellent service i called for advice as my little dog was very poorly and needed treatment. Mostly dealt with on the phone and sent I pictures to be assessed. I had an appointment within 24 hours. My dog has made a full recovery and is back barking a a big dog again as it has its walk. Fully value the service and would recommend in the future.

Fantastic experience: Taken a stray in I found and what a set of wonderful people and staff. It was a beautiful German shepard lil bit old but she was with me for 3 hours as a grown man could've cried for her.

Negative experience: To be honest this is the worst experience I've had with the leeds department, the lady on the desk with glasses on and dark hair is absolutely rude and should not be aloud to be a receptionist, she spoke to my mother like rubbish at a time like this and then also spoke to other people the same way. There was no apology or anything,I'm writing a formal complaint about her tomorrow soon as I've been in and got her name as I also video the conversation with my telephone ..be aware people don't send elders in on they're own

Fantastic experience: I can't thank the staff at the pdsa today (1.8.22) enough for everything they did for me and my best friend at his final hour .I couldn't of wished for them to be more caring for myself or my dog they went above and beyond to make sure he was as comfortable as possible and they was so kind to make sure I was OK. I didn't catch the 2 ladies names who I saw today but they was both realy kind and careing I will be for ever grateful of what they did for not just my dog but me .and to be fair all the staff I spoke to was very friendly and helpful. I would urge anyone who can afford even just a couple of pounds to donate to this wonderful charity because it needs all the help it can get I would just like to say once again thankyou so much eternally grateful
