Fantastic experience: I had situation a poorly hedgehog and had Larissa's warm, professional and compassionate tone on the phone to talk me through registration and booking her in ASAP. The team took time to keep me calm. Jordan and gave my hedgehog the best care, explained the costs upfront and the treatment plan.

Negative experience: EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE........

Fantastic experience: Always happy with the service and the added bonus of out of hours people running on sane premises. If ever we've needed out of hours, our usual vets can take over care in the morning which is fab. Had our dogs registered here many years ago and now all of our cats. Would recommend.

Fantastic experience: We saw the most amazing vet today (Jordan Nelthorpe-Stein ) my dog had a very sensitive problem today and from the second we walked through the door he went above and beyond to help her. He explained everything so well and was so kind and understanding. He kept me up to date on her progress throughout the day and he made a horrible day alot easier . I really recommend him to care for your animals. My girl is on the mend and I couldn’t be more grateful .

Negative experience: i don't know hows veterinary at the day but NIGHT PERSONEl/SHIFT is very very bad. i never again dont wanna leave my dog there even other pet hospital proposed it to me. At last friday i have to leave there my dog because pdsa is able to care about pets only at the day so i leave there my dog in not too bad condition and she was already in a drip but morning when we picked up our dog she was in very very bad condition, she was all in her fece and vormit. She was totally scared , sad and feel unwell , much much worse then before we leave she there. I don't recomend this place for pets for night. It looks they don't care about pets. When we asked , is she vomiting or had diahrrea they cant give us answer. Yes we saw she was all in her fece and vomit but they still cant gave us answer. So if you can care about your pet at night , never mind hows bad condition is , better dont leave pet there. i'm too unsatisfied to say some good things about NIGHT SHIFT. i hope day shift and vets are much better than night shift

Fantastic experience: My first visit today with my (approximately 5 year old cat Zeus) I've struggled to get him into a vet for 3 years (don't judge me, I won't reveal the reason). He met Abraham today and it was perfect. Zeus let him examine him, accepted his vaccine no problem and was very comfortable there. All staff very friendly, welcoming and professional. Special mention to Abraham for calling "I am looking for the king of the gods" for Zeus' appointment . I recommend their pet plan it's great value for money

Negative experience: My poor sausage dog Frankie (3 years old) had to be put to sleep after a long battle of cystine stones, we had to go to this vet as our usual vet was closed at this time. The vet who put our beloved boy to sleep was amazing and was a sausage dog owner herself and wanted nothing more but to help Frankie , however after he was put to sleep and passed away in my mothers arms we had a very rude vet assistant (not sure what her job actually is) come in and bluntly say “can I take the body now?”. I have never felt such disgust in my life, me and all my family who was in the room were inconsolable as it is let alone having someone come in and refer to our little boy as “the body”! I understand having that type of job requires professionalism but where is the empathy??? Do not go here!

Positive experience: I've had consistently positive experiences here, even with my large dog who tends to be quite nervous at the vet. We've come in for annual check-ups/vaccination appointments, and I've also received helpful support via phone and email. They've been especially accommodating when we've needed short-notice appointments for injuries—providing treatment on the same day when it was really needed and follow up support.

Fantastic experience: Our Vet is just one of the loveliest and is so passionate about her job. She remembers everything about our dog Nero and she genuinely loves him and fusses over him so much and he loves her too . We absolutely have the upmost trust in her. Vitoria you are amazing. Really lovely staff all round. Highly recommend x

Fantastic experience: I Had to make the hardest decision ever yesterday 7th May 2025 Rushed my old tyme bulldog in on a emergency appointment ,was told to bring her straight down On arrival she was triaged made comfortable by 2 nurses and awaiting the vet to come into see Lola . Lola was diagnosed with mamory cancer which had spread rapidly . Hardest decision was to put Lola out of any pain and let her run free over the fields of her favourite walks .. Nurses & vet i can not Thankyou all so so much for your kindness shown towards lola and myself at such a awful and one of the hardest decisions I never want to have to ever make again .. Negative experience: We have been using this vets for about 2 1/2 years . Our latest vet check visit was very disappointing. Before the visit I phoned to check his regular flea and worming meds would be available. Was told this wasn't passed to anybody and then told on visit wasn't reserved? Then informed that I'd been given the wrong amout of worming meds on previous occasions. I'm still paying the monthly payments but this has never been picked up? Nurse was great communication is obviously not good ? Questions to be answered on deemed audits and processes?

Negative experience: Shocking lack of organization, no apologies, feeble excuses and half hearted attempts at remedy. The vets are OK but the administration is abysmal. Medications are not ordered, prescriptions take days. I've tried phoning in advance to make sure medications and prescriptions are ready. I go there and am told it isn't. The nurses and vets are good but the reception appears to be stuck to their seat and unable to show any momentum and is frankly rude and can't be bothered to even offer a half decent apology. "Wasn't me you spoke to" is not good enough.

Negative experience: Very unprofessional attitude from vets and even worse from receptionists. I really don't recommend this VET! High prices, which are different when you asked via email or phone before visit. I used to ask about price and then when we paid price was higher! They used to be good but now they are only mo ey focused... Non-transparent documents, so you don't know what you paid for. No appointments and fleas as a gift after each visit!

Fantastic experience: Came in today with my 5 month old pup Ruby as she wasn’t feeling herself all the staff were lovely giving Ruby treats as she was a little scared the vet Vitoria was great and very friendly and more then happy to be down on Ruby’s level after an antisickness injection Ruby is back to her landshark self glad I made the move to this vet

Negative experience: Dog killers ! Don't go there if you want your animal to be alive ! They ask for 1.5k to kill your dog after they do a scan and say that it's everything ok .they pulling the puppies out like wolves and kill them with no regret ! Just saying "it's happening !!!??? When everything was fine and we had to wait for the dog to give birth,they just been sticking their hands in there and took the puppy out struggled and killed him !!! Killers,scammers !! NEVER GO THERE PLEASE!!!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic service the vet I saw Jordan had a really good bed side manor. Everything was fully covered and explained he’s an asset to your company. He dealt with my dog Pixie twice and I’m extremely grateful

Negative experience: I would like to share my ridiculous stories in this place last night my pomeranian want give birth i took it here first everything just say hi asking for 1000£ to pay ok no problem made the payment then for 5 hours been there my dog are struggling with pain to born the puppies after all the veterinary nurse come with rudeness attitude try pull out the puppies with no feelings no mercy at all with lil puppies the puppies was moving then second after she said let me take it to another room then after 2 min she come back give us die puppies without any fear just don't care at all just say its die and it's happening sometimes then my partner start shouting at her because actually she killed our puppies by purpose it's so clear again continue then after she come say the mother need another injection which is was second one and she asking for another 2.500£ to pay more so total gonna be 3.500£ and she said its not guarantee at all even tbe mother on risk may another puppies which still inside may not make it even tbe mother so she get the paperwork to make us to sign it if anything happens it's natural then my partner start shouting say you want robbing us for money not show mercy on a poor dog want kill all 3 of them just for money then we get arguing and after shouting we absolutely refuse to not pay another 2.500£ we took the dog to home then after 1 hours later the puppies come out naturally without any problems or any issues I been standing by my lil dog to give birth to another one happily born safe and good health so the veterinary asking us for another 2.500£ and it's 50/50 if any of them make it I'm just let each one of you here to judge my situation why dose my dog give birth natural after all why the mother not been in risk or the puppies not been in risk but why they veterinary telling us have to pay and not guarantee guys the lady was there absolutely killed our puppies by purpose and I'm not gonna let this case go I'll take a legal action for that behaviour be murder of my lil puppies without no mercy they absolutely don't care about the animals they just care about the money to robbing you they all a thieves it's a live you have took a live for money be murder of a puppies for money it's unacceptable at all. Pls pls pls everyone be careful if you really love your pet never ever take it to that place they really not care about the animals jist money I have witnesses that what she done to our dogs but thanks God made the right decision to take the mum home not let them also kill her I put my trust on gods hand right now the second puppies c9me out healthy and safe if I were let them do another injection they were killed them all. But in time I'll gonna come back here after I take this case to the court that it was by purpose there's not doubt we done the Xray and all the test at the beginning was everything so good and fine but at the end bring tear to our eye I can't trust them ever murder a puppies killed people dogs or pet it's unacceptable I have read lot of reviews everyone have complained about the payment how get robbed we all need hand to hand change that rule for our pets

Fantastic experience: This veterinary surgery is the best I have ever been to. They genuinely care about the animals they treat and did everything they could to make my dear Gizmo better. They also were very supportive, thightful and empathetic to myself, along with treating him with utmost care and respect. This is how i wish all vets were.

Negative experience: I am not impressed with the service here. I moved here from another Vet surgery in the hope that it would be an improvement and I was very wrong. Come here if you'd like to wait 30+ minutes for an appointment. No they will not warn you of a delay, and when you speak to an employee to find out, you are assured "they will be right out". But they weren't. What a waste of everyone's time. I had to take time off work to watch 3 people arrive after me and be seen before me, whilst my cat sat cooped up in a carrier for 30+ minutes. It's vile. Unfortunately my pets appointment was pre-op and due to the complete lack of management at Beech House it is likely I will have to wait another 6 weeks+ for his operation because of your ineptitude.

Fantastic experience: We'd like to express our sincere gratitude and thanks to the staff of the clinic, for looking after our Ukrainian, white, long-haired cat Ticha. Special thanks goes to Dr. Amy Macklin and Dr. Amie Nugent. The incurable diagnosis of "kidney failure" came as a shock to us, as Ticha was a completely healthy cat whilst in Ukraine. Undoubtedly, the stress from the explosions and then - long time of unsettlement by the move to the UK, must have left an imprint on his health. Both Dr. Amy and then Dr. Amie, selected the right supportive therapy and constantly provided us with all the necessary consultations that supported Ticha's normal life. Inevitably, the disease took its toll, Ticha's condition deteriorated suddenly and he could not live to see his 14th birthday one month time. Despite our huge loss - we are very grateful to two professional doctors who gave us an extra year and 9 months of happiness with Ticha. Thanks again from the bottom of our hearts! Ticha's family .

Negative experience: Since this practice has been taken over by a larger company the service has deteriorated and they come across very money focussed! (in the past I had left them several 5 star reviews). Over the past few months I have had to complain a few times, even speaking to the practice manager who was going to look into and come back to me and never did. Final straw last week when I went in for a check up to be told my appt was a month ago (even though only booked 2 weeks ago). When I said this I was told that was impossible. When I said I was going to leave anyway and might as well just do so now I just got 'OK, thank you'. They completely don't couldn't care less and if they don't care about me (the one paying the bills) how can I be sure they'll care about my dog! Very disappointing as this vet is a short walk from me, I'm now moving to a vet 20 minutes drive away and I think it speaks volumes that I would rather do that than stay with Beech House Vets!

Negative experience: This used to be a good vets but unfortunately seems to be highly focused on making money instead of caring for your pets. My dog caught a virus from attending the vet for a routine appointment and this was life threatening for him. Disappointingly they knew there was an outbreak of the virus at the time but failed to notify anyone! We wouldn’t have taken him there if we knew there was a risk. The vets also seem to be leaving the practice at short notice which is also a concern

Negative experience: Took our dog in for a simple spaying after waiting months to receive her from romania, came out without a dog. Young vet seemed extremely inexperienced and all we received was a voucher for wine (where you had to spend £20 for it to be valid) please be careful when visiting this vets as you may return without your pet!

Fantastic experience: The vets is easy to find the building smells and looks clean. I wasn't waiting too long and the vet explained what he was doing and looking for and was very informative and did make some suggestions on medication for my pet.

Negative experience: Incompetent. Money first animals second. Only reason I don't go elsewhere is because its convenient.

Fantastic experience: Early hours of Wednesday March 20th our precious girl Maisy moo crossed the rainbow bridge. We can't thank the staff enough for what you they done for her. Nothing was to much trouble and letting us spend as much time with her as we wanted and needed in her final moments. Then to be given locks of her hair and paw and nose prints was so lovely of them. Then today we received the most lovely sympathy card and inside was a packet of seeds of forget-me-nots to plant in memory of our special amazing girl Maisy moo. We as a family can't thank them enough.

Fantastic experience: Have had pets registered with Beech house for around 20 years since I've owned pets, currently have my two cats registered here and hoenstly could not fault them, vets are friendly and professional and know their staff, reception team are always lovely and super helpful. Every time I have come in with my youngest cat whos an extremely affectionate fluffy boy, they all absolute dote on him. Also one of the more affordable vets in the area. Mew and Morpheus have no fear of the vets either and I definitely think thsi is helped by how awesome the staff are! Thank you for being awesome ☺️ lots of love Mew and Morpheus

Negative experience: This place is terrible My friend Had her spynhx cats jabs done here. After the second jab she said the vet did it in diff place to the 1st time and within an hour of this she couldn't use back legs . The vid she has of it is shocking to say the least . When confronted this veterinary surgery wouldn't admit liability and tried to say the cat had a vitamin deficiency.. her cat was running playing with other cats before the jabs he had to have cat put to sleep and was only a kitten . They hit a nerve when doing her jabs .Trust me avoid this place . I have the vids of her before and after the jabs . And it's shocking what this place did .

Fantastic experience: Open on bank holiday Monday. Had a very sick cat. A lovely veterinarian had a look at our cat, took blood, and recommended a course of treatment. Not cheap, but we did not know how ill our cat was.

Fantastic experience: We have used this surgery for over 23 years and have always found them friendly helpful, as well as professional. They explain everything clearly. Our first dog was put to sleep here at the age of 17 they put us at ease and Sam went peaceful and we weren't rushed to say our goodbyes. The receptionist are aways cheerful. The two dogs we have now have never been frighten to go into the vets, they are calm and happy, even our youngest who went through an operation. They alway make a fuss of our dogs. Would never think of going anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: By far the best vet in Southampton. After a galling experience with another vet, I combed over vets and spoke to a number of them to see whether I would feel happy to trust my little girl with them. I was so pleasantly surprised by Beech House. From reception to the examining room, everyone was friendly, helpful, competent and simply fantastic throughout. Fantastic experience: Great experience of cat 1st vaccination with Dr Tiffany Stein. Really welcome, just waited few minutes until Dr come and invited for vaccination- Dr had a great trick to keep kittens busy while vaccinated. Visit veterinary and you will find out what was the trick;)

Negative experience: Friday 3rd february 2023 We had to make choice that our lovely dog was in poor health and it was time to say goodbye What happened was shocking and made our dog suffer at what we thought would be a peace full end of life A catheter was put into a vein and our dog was returned to the treatment room We were not told that a flush would take place in our presence first, I thought it was a sedative to send her to sleep , Our poor dog reared up and was desperate to get away , The vet asked us to steady her so he could add more of what i thought was a sedative to calm her down , Within seconds our dog was dead in my arms , My wife and i were in shock . We expected a better more calmer end of life , Beware of using this place if you are considering euthanasia . The process seemed cold and clinical with little thought about animal welfare or the pet owners feelings

Negative experience: Called them to register my kitten to be told they are only taking on kittens and puppy's. And then told me they wouldn't take our kitten on because he wasn't kitten enough. Poor service and rude on the phone.

Fantastic experience: Very attentive with my daughters new kitten - brilliant staff

Negative experience: I have used the clinic for over 10 year, the staff there is changing a lot and I had the impression new young vets are coming without the experience and expertise. I have made a complaint regarding a mistake the Vet did and I haven't heard anything from them. The vet suggested to do the liver test while the dog was on steroids and antibiotics, then after that I was referred to the specialist clinic and spend more than £500 with no need as the liver test are always worst when on steroids. Decided to move somewhere else.

Negative experience: Had to have an emergency appointment for our 15year old cat saw the vet who was very offish with us and after examination said she would have to be put to sleep no empathy what so ever all done very quickly and not sensitive at all not happy 1 star given for the out of hours that they were open

Fantastic experience: Receptionist was so kind when I took an injured pigeon to the surgery. She even took the time to phone me to advise me of the outcome. Very caring.

Positive experience: Good but expensive. Less than 10 minutes with vet and a very small tube of eye ointment cost me £74.

Positive experience: I am afraid I was disgusted with a member of staff, Megan, I have processing delay and when I asked her to wait and stop repeating herself so I could clarify, she gave a smirk and walked off. Thankfully the other lady in reception was helpful. Vets service un faultable

Fantastic experience: Cat struggling to breath, she had swallowed something that stuck in her throat, she was well looked after, had to have a local anaesthetic to look down her throat, she had swolled what we used to do with these sticky darts we through at each other when we were kids

In particular I can't thank Vet Tiffany enough. The empathy and kindness that she showed me and my beautiful cat Ruby right until the end was outstanding and never faltered. I can't thank her enough. I was heartbroken to receive a phone call telling me my cat had been found and died due to being hit by a car. The lady was so kind, caring and supportive. The paw prints is something that I will keep forever and I have put the seeds down that you kindly gave me. Honestly, I can’t thank you enough. X

Negative experience: Landed with a vet bill of nearly £3000 and they still don't know what it is. Asked for a test at the start which I thought it was, still haven't done it so having to take him back for more tests. Out of hours is a total rip off! Definitely finding a new vets when this is all finally over!

Fantastic experience: Every dog I have owned has been under this vet more so recently one of my dogs have been seen on a regular basis due to being diagnosed with cancer they have been caring compassionate from start to finish even today going there to have my baby put out of her pain I cannot fault any of the staff from normal surgery opening times to the emergency staff. Positive experience: Visited today with a family member and her cat. Outstanding care from the vet, so kind and caring towards a very unwell elderly pet. The examination table had obviously been cleaned but I think the rest of the consulting room could do with a thorough clean as I could see dust everywhere that had clearly been there some time. And I know payment has to be made but standing over a deceased pet with the card machine seems quite insensitive
