Negative experience: Don’t really know what they’re doing, they have an official veterinary that I need to sign a document but the receptionist seems to want to argue with about it saying they don’t offer that service. She has no clue what she is talking about and doesn’t even know what DEFRA is but seems confident enough to be pretty rude and shout over when I’m trying to explain on the phone. Quite rude and useless at their job

Fantastic experience: Totally blown away with the experience at this pdsa everyone was so kind and extremely caring just like a veterinary should be. Everyone was so amazing whilst my little Dolly girl was poorly and I call the lovely vet Wendy, Dollys guardian angel as she saved Dollys life, Wendy was very kind and supportive she spent time explaining what was happening and what needed to be done. A massive thank you to her and the pdsa team Dolly Godwin is doing very well PLEASE PLEASE DONATE TO THE PDSA EVERY PENNY HELPS...

Negative experience: Never take a sick animal off the street there. They won't help it there. The animal will immediately be given a lethal injection. My friend from the street ended up like this :( I cared for him for two years... she got sick, and I took her there, begging for help, and they got rid of her.

Negative experience: They're good for everything BUT cutting claws. They made my dogs paws bleed and didnt even wrap it.

Fantastic experience: They were very helpful with one if my cats who broke his jaw and needed emergency treatment and follow up

Negative experience: If you love your pet never take them to the Pdsa was told my dog needed to be put down because of internal issues took him else where turns out he had hurt his left front leg didn't even check him over properly disgusting service

Fantastic experience: We lost our furbaby Milo recently and PDSA were respectful and caring to us and our little boy at this extremely difficult time. We have been with PDSA for years and have absolutely no complaints and have had wonderful care and treatment for Milo at all times. Waiting times are very good and the nurses never rush us and take time to listen to our concerns and help. Thank you to all at PDSA over the years.

Negative experience: How much longer is it going to be until your taking new registrations it's been ages and for someone that is on benefits I can't afford normal prices of a standard vets

Fantastic experience: Best service I've had for over 10yrs and would like to see people paying more donations as they really are a 5 star ⭐ service and will help any dog cat , rabbit or any other animals you need help.Always my number one choice as there's always someone there to help your per 24hrs a day. PLEASE DONATE AS WE WON'T HAVE ONE LEFT,I SPEND £40 IN TAXIS TO GET THERE AND BACK BUT ITS THE BEST SERVICE AND NOT DEARER AS A VET,MY OLD VET WANTED ME TO PUT A 14W OLD PUPPY INSTEAD OF PAYING OUT FOR A BROKEN BACK LEG,ONE THING THE PDSA WOULDN'T DO,I WON'T MENTION THE VETERINARY COMPANY OR I COULD BE PROSECUTED BUT WOULD BE HAPPY TO RECOMMEND PDSA SOUTHAMPTON.

Fantastic experience: Amazing people!!! Sometimes is really hard to call them. But with emergency they are fabulous. Always try donate some extra when I picking up flee treatment,when I am with my pupils for check up. All people in PDSA have really big hearts.

Negative experience: Rung the clinic as my dog was suffering and started getting a little worse last few days. Woman called KAREN was obnoxious and rude and I went down to the clinic to speak in person where she just gave me a list of other clinics I could use with no compassion towards my dog or myself. Shocking behaviour and I’m happy to never use this clinic or there services again and that is down to how I was treated by the disgraceful secretary.

Fantastic experience: I cannot thank PDSA team enough for their excellent care looking after Bobby and operating on him to remove two cancerous tumours.. Bobby is recovering well after his surgery and fingers crossed all his cancer is gone only time will tell but hoping Bobby now has a long healthy pain free life ahead off him.. Huge big Thank you to all the team at #PDSATotton... Back home with his buddy after surgery.. and yesterday up to mischief in back garden sniffing dirt.. Also Big Thank You to Toria for taking Bobby & bringing him back home safely again..

Fantastic experience: I have Always found the Staff Friendly & the Vets Understanding my Rabbit Fiver was in Pain & very ill,I took him in a few Years ago as He had an Abcess behind his right Eye,He was put to Sleep to try & Drain it I was in Subway drinking Tea scared waiting for news I was told His teeth were a mess & I told them not to wake Him as I carnt bare Him to Suffer He was 10 Months old Thank You PDSA for showing Me Compassion & doing the best for my furbaby Boy

Negative experience: My pet has recently been treated by the Southampton clinic, First few days I’d have given you a 10 and recommended to everyone. My kitten is very unwell. On the third day, I heard nothing about my kitten all day. I rang at 6:30pm and finally got a veg to speak with me. They told me she needed to have better blood results by the next day, if not she’d need to be pts. I ended up going down the next morning to speak to the team, didn’t make an appointment as I was happy to wait for someone to be free. I ended up removing her from your care and going private that same morning. The practise manager was extremely rude when I asked for MY KITTENS notes so I could get another opinion before having to make the worst decision ever. I just wanted to know we’d done all we could before putting a baby to sleep. When I spoke to the vet, they hadn’t bother doing the blood test again like I’d be told they would the night before, and I felt I was being push to pts obviously I was very upset. One of your Southampton vets then decided to say “we can only spend so much on JUST ONE PET” because apparently that’s all my 4 month old kitten is. Not a family member? Not something we love and cherish? I understand PDSA is a charity, but that attitude to them speak to a customer in that way is DISGUSTING. I was made to feel stupid for wanting to ensure my kitten didn’t actually have a chance, instead of just letting her go without knowing I’d done everything. Funnily enough, the private vets are willing to try and help. I’ll be screwed financially but at least we’re actually trying. And not just putting to sleep because they don’t want to spend anymore, or it’s the easy option. I had been planning on giving a £200 donation, granted it would not cover all her costs, but it would have helped a lot. That donation has now gone to our private vet, who actually want to give her a chance. I had to complain, as the way I was spoken to, and treated when I was in the worst mental state possible, was disgusting. There was no care, no empathy or compassion within that team. And had I been coerced, I’d have put to sleep a 4 month old kitten who potentially could survive. Because that’s exactly what it was. Your team trying to make me feel guilty for using a service I am ENTITLED to. I hated having to come to PDSA in the first place, and always use a private vet usually because I usually can. The one time I can’t and I use what I’m entitled to, I’m made to feel like this.

Fantastic experience: Lovely staff, very helpful and put the animals first not money as I found with my previous vets.

Negative experience: Bet was absolutely horrible. Made me feel like I was the most horrible person alive because my cat had some flea dirt and that was clearly the reason she was puking and very poorly. Then said...she's very poorly I will call you if she makes it like she wasnt alert and active. Acting as if she was on deaths door..I then rang and all they did was put her on a drip... apparently saline cures all death aliments. And the lack of empathy for someone crying their heart out thinking there kitten is going to die. Get a different job you shouldn't be a vet

Positive experience: It took us over 3 weeks to actually get an appointment for vaccinations. We were lucky because now they don't offer vaccines .

Fantastic experience: Staff were brilliant on a very hard day as I had to have a feline youthanised.

Positive experience: Its OK, but some of the customers waiting with their very unlucky pets looked liked they have just crawled out of a bush and not washed since 1998. Staff are pretty knowledgeable but sometimes it feels like a pop up tent would be very handy when waiting for medication

Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant , my dog was attacked by a diffrent dog and went to a diffrent vet who told me she is fine and couldn't see any bite marks and rushed us out the door, when we got home my dog was in clear pain, after a couple days a attack happened again so took her to PDSA, after examining and sedating her, they flushed her wound and saved her as she was bleeding to much and had blood blisters. The other vets were rubbish and could of been the death of my dog as they ignored the problem and was more concerned at her aggression due to anxiety and pain. PDSA are heroes and I couldn't fault them. Thankyou for saving my poppy. You properly took care of her and didn't rush, you cleaned her wounds and shaved her belly to make sure she was safe. I can't thank you enough and on top of that the staff were patient and friendly.

Fantastic experience: On the two occasions I have had to visit the surgery, I received a welcome smile. Everything about the procedure was explained to me in a way that I fully understood. Today was the first time in 10 years I had been separated from my dog, my shadow, my friend who cried the house down as she was lead away. I left with tears in my eyes and could still hear her crying from the car park. Can't wait to pick her up later today. Hope all goes well with her operation and that she is alright.

Negative experience: Discovered a lump on my senior dog early March and took her to PDSA where they did a basic evaluation, temp check, stated it was "probably cancer" and sent her on her way with painkillers. Bloodwork was not offered nor samples taken to give us a definitive answer regarding the root cause. Cancer treatments were also off the table due to ageist bias despite her being a healthy and active dog prior. It seemed as if PDSA couldn't get her out the door fast enough to get onto the next patient.

Fantastic experience: I am blown away - Every one that works here, are Absolutely incredible! I can not describe my gratitude. 100% There for the animals! Thank you so much. Tribal is a lucky boy and will be on the mend soon.

Negative experience: My mom took our dog here and it honestly felt as if they had no idea what is wrong with him. Everytime he went there, he came back just as worse, throwing random medications that didnt work. Our poor dog.
