Users appreciate the dedication and professionalism exhibited by the surgeons and nursing staff, who not only deliver top-notch medical expertise but also ensure pet owners feel supported and informed throughout the treatment process.

Fantastic experience: We are so grateful to Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists for helping to save our sighthound’s life after a horrific stick accident while chasing deer. It was an incredibly frightening time, but from the moment the accident happened, the emergency care she received from everyone was exceptional. On arrival at the practice, surgeon Kate Holroyd, along with the theatre team, acted with such skill, urgency and compassion. Their expertise meant our girl was able to see another day, and we will never forget that. The nursing team were equally wonderful during her aftercare—gentle, patient, and so kind with her as she recovered. Knowing she was in such caring hands brought us huge comfort during an overwhelming experience. We simply cannot thank the whole AMVS team enough for everything they did for her. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. ❤️

Fantastic experience: Highly professional and dedicated team. Always have our pets best interests at heart. Explain everything clearly and in great detail. Discuss medication options before proceeding. Very impressed with Berry Wong and Heather Smith at our latest two visits.

Fantastic experience: Arriving at a hospital with an unwell pet in a daunting and scary experience, but at AMVS you were greeted with so much warmth the fears are eased immediately. The consultation fully explains the processes concerning your pets illness with all the options available to help treat them and it is delivered in a way you can understand. My Daschund was referred for possible IVDD but after an MRI it turned out to be water on the brain and my gratitude and heart-felt thanks goes out to every person involved with her surgery and care before, during and after her operation.

Fantastic experience: Amazing treatment, everything from start to finish was explained in detail , options discussed ,surgical procedure, follow up and costs were all covered. My dog had TPOL surgery 3 years ago on one knee at Anderson Moores which was entirely successful , all is looking good for recovery of second procedure of other knee , 2 days ago he came home , he is still in care to ensure the recovery is good , follow up appointments and physiotherapy booked. Would definitely recommend

Fantastic experience: James operated on our 7 month old pug 8 weeks ago, the whole team have been amazing and Garrie is always pleased to go back and see them. The empathy and care is above and beyond what we could have asked for. They have always been quick to get back to us with any concerns even when we had to phone on a Sunday morning.

Fantastic experience: The team at Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists in Winchester were truly amazing with our dog, Obi. Their compassion, professionalism and expertise shone through from start to finish, and we always felt listened to, supported and genuinely cared for. They treated Obi — and us — with such kindness and respect. We’re so thankful for everything they did and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing exceptional veterinary care.

Fantastic experience: I recently took my 7.5 year old Frenchy for an depth 5 to 6 hour Operation to fix his Spine ref a Cyst being removed and titanium parts inserted within the same area. ( 3 D printing ) He has just completed his post Op restrictive excercise period. The Op carried several risks, but the alternative was not an option IMO. The Neurosurgeon was Mr.Edward Ives. To date,I would give him more than 5 Stars. Everything went like clockwork. This high level of animal surgery still amazes me ! I would like to also praise The Anaesthetist's team who are a big part of these proceedures as well as The Theatre Nursing team and also the post-op nurses who monitored my pooch for 2 to 3 days afterwards.

Fantastic experience: Leo was referred to Anderson Moores after being hit by a car and breaking both his back legs a year ago. I was told by the initial emergency vets that the chances of survival were slim. I will forever be thankful for the team at Anderson Moores. Two metal plates in his back legs, and a year later you wouldn’t know there was ever anything wrong. Thank you thank you thank you.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly, made Louis feel at ease during his stay, kept us updated and fully informed throughout the procedure

Ivan M Posted on Google 6 months ago

Negative experience: Went there due to my dog having diarrhoea and the vet wouldn’t look at the anal area or examine the anal area due to a mess around his bottom, I was referred to this place from my vet, which I will never use again as excessive prices for very little knowledge, My dog was diagnosed with a cancer after seeing this place and left in pain for a long period until unfortunately was put down, this place is all about profit and certainly not about experience, diabolical service

Fantastic experience: An amazing veterinary practice. The treated my dog with great care.

James Hargreaves Posted on Google 6 months ago

Negative experience: A genuinely despicable outfit of so called specialists, whose only speciality is extracting as much cash from desperate, worried owners as possible. No compassion, no empathy, no care. Was referred to AM for my dog for a cardiology issue, two very simple tests cost me nearly £3000. No empathy when your dog can't be insured. Threatening emails and letters when you didn't cough up straight away, because people have thousands laying around. As my poor dog has aged, medication needed to be changed to keep her alive and healthy, but this disgraceful establishment have refused to even advise my own vets without being paid in advance. If you get referred to AM, insist on being referred somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful ! We couldn’t be happier with the treatment our 16 year old Papillon Barney was given after being referred to Anderson Moore specialist. The reception staff were very welcoming and our veterinary surgeon Matthew Oxford was so reassuring and explained everything that was going to happen and came out to let us know that Barney was recovering and doing amazingly well after his surgery. Thank you so much for looking after Barney .

Positive experience: Our family pet required emergency scans and surgery recently. We understand veterinary treatments are costly - however, a £1500 premium for a 5 hour procedure on a Saturday? I find myself questioning the moral compass of whoever defines these “out of hours” premiums considering the only reason this is added is because it was a Saturday. If only the rest of us in other professions could command such an increased wage for weekend work…

Fantastic experience: I would give more stars if it allowed ✨️ the practice went above and beyond to help my dog not just with the treatment but also to help deal with the insurance company when they did not want to pay towards the cost Very professional

Fantastic experience: Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists team are all so helpful and understanding, they really guide you through all the range of treatments available for your pet's health problem. My cat, Pebbles, has a complex cancerous condition and l am so glad I was referred by my vet to AMVS.

Fantastic experience: I would give more stars if I could! They have an extremely friendly team and I had perfect communication throughout. My vet referred me to Anderson Moores on the basis they could cover a multitude of procedures as my vets were unable to diagnose the issue with my working cocker spaniel. Anderson Moores were quick to diagnose the issue, they underwent surgery and kept me regularly updated throughout.

Fantastic experience: This practice deserves 100 stars they are absolutely incredible. The team saved my puppy’s life after he was admitted with a hole in his lung caused by an infection.. They explained everything thoroughly the investigations and the Surgery was of the highest standard. It was all absolutely outstanding and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them highly to anybody with a sick animal.

Fantastic experience: Our local vet referred our 12 year old Jack Russell “Ted” to AndersonMoores for a neuro diagnosis back in March 2025. We found the advice and practice of the Consultant, Jessica Zilli to be both professional and caring, with due consideration to any concerns that we raised. Ted was diagnosed with a slipped disc, which had virtually disabled his back legs. He was operated on the same day. Two months later, including a bit of home physio and restricted exercise, he is now walking normally with short spurts of running and has enjoyed a short holiday away with us. He is still gaining strength and confidence. We are thankful for AndersonMoores expertise and treatment.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful service from front of desk staff as well as the vets. Full explanations given throughout the consultation regarding treatment and costs. Very much appreciated the treatment of my dog.

Agne Angelides Posted on Google 1 year ago

Positive experience: Anderson Moores is a fantastic veterinary practice. We've used them twice now – once for our cat who was suffering from heart failure, and once for our poodle following a car accident. On both occasions, the circumstances were very distressing, and we were extremely worried about our beloved pets. We found the specialists at Anderson Moores to be compassionate and highly knowledgeable. Each time, treatment options were explained to us in detail, and we really appreciated receiving quotes in advance. The facilities are also exceptionally clean and modern. However, I have given four stars rather than five due to the pricing. I found their services to be at least 25% more expensive than other veterinary practices for comparable procedures. For example, the quote I received for a laparoscopic spay for our dog was significantly higher—over £400 more—than what was being charged just down the road. I do understand that higher fees contribute to maintaining top-tier facilities and equipment, but the price difference compared to other practices feels excessive.

Fantastic experience: Such great staff! Really took care of our young puppy last minute. Stayed overnight and feel the care was 2nd to none, thank you! Juan was excellent as was the rest of the team.

Carolyn Payne Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: My pet was recently referred to Anderson Moores and had emergency and will have on-going treatment there. It’s really hard to entrust him to people I’ve only met once (even if they are fully qualified vets and the best possible people to help him)! But the care and treatment he received was speedy and so caring. All staff have been fantastic with me too. Great care taken to explain things to me. Importantly to me, the liaison with my local veterinary practice has been brilliant so I can be sure my pet continues to get the best possible care from both practices and everyone has current notes. The atmosphere at Anderson Moores is very calm, a massive help at a time of distress.

Fantastic experience: We have an almost 2 year old American Bulldog Gus, who has just had TPLO surgery, I cannot praise Anderson Moores enough for their service, from the initial consultation with Maria who spent nearly an hour explaining what she surgery entailed, how she would do it and the recovery process we were instantly put at ease, she was clear, concise and above all kind, the professionalism, empathy and kindness shown to us and Gus throughout has been amazing. Juan Carlos too has been amazing, nothing is too much trouble. We are in the recovery process now, and is a long road ahead but feel we are In the best hands, at no time have we been made to feel a nuisance with the endless worries and questions we've posed, top notch service, top notch vets, admin team and nurses. A great practice

Fantastic experience: The service we received at Anderson Moores was excellent from the referral process through to the procedures that my dog received. The Vet , Sophie, helped me to understand the procedures that my dog needed. She was also very kind and compassionate when we received sad news. The support staff were also very kind and helpful. I would have no hesitation in recommending Anderson Moores.

Fantastic experience: So this review is based on my now 13 year old staffie. It is now 1 year ago to the day that he fell seriously ill & completely out of the blue on Christmas eve...on the 27th Dec after toing & froing with the out of hours vets he was finally referred to Anderson Moores. He was so ill when he arrived, that if he had, had the strength to put his paws in the air, I am sure god would have snatched him that very day! He had major surgery within hours of arriving. I was told his survival was 50/50...to my amazement he pulled through. And right this very minute he is contently asleep in front of his log burner on Christmas eve waiting for the Christmas day he lost last year! He is now fully recovered and enjoying life exactly as he did before. A huge huge thank you to the surgeon's & nurses for saving my dog who wasn't then and isn't yet ready to give up on life! xxx

Lynn Reed Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: This is the second time I have had to attend here with my young dog and from the minute you arrive until you leave you are put at ease with what can be a stressful experience. Everything is explained clearly and all options are explained. The vets and assistants make you feel that you are a person and allow lots of time for questions. They value your pet and treat them well as if they are your child. Which they are really cos our pets are our furry babies. I certainly would state that anyone that is concerned about what it will be like at this hospital needs to be reassured that nothing is to much trouble to explain and guide you well to hopefully having a great result for your furballs outcome for future care.

Fantastic experience: We found that Kine (the vet assigned to us) was caring, knowledgeable and very professional. She looked after our pet as if he was her own and we were so impressed. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Anderson Moores.

Fantastic experience: I can't speak highly enough of Anderson Moores. The whole experience was superb, from referral to booking to treatment. The premises are warm, welcoming and spotlessly clean, the staff are lovely, and the treatment my dog received was absolutely first class. I couldn't ask for more, and highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Exceptional care for my dog Eddie by truly knowledgable specialists. Eddie was referred in the middle of the night and after a two hour journey to Winchester I was welcomed by Eliana, Jorge and the clinical team who immediately jumped into action. Their care for my dog and concern for my piece of mind has been unmatched from specialists to front desk to nurses. I highly recommend Anderson Moores, in case of urgent care. Also it is located at a beautiful, clean and well looked after premise in the countryside. Thank you so much team for fixing my darling boy!

Fantastic experience: My dog was admitted for emergency surgery and she couldn’t have received better care. All staff were amazing, supportive and informative at all times. If your pet needs treatment here they couldn’t be in safer hands.

Fantastic experience: From start to finish, a great experience. When phoning up, the receptionist was lovely, kind and helpful, explained everything and gave full information. When walking into the practise, it is clean, comfortable and welcoming. The staff on reception were fab, again explaining everything. There's even free tea/coffee for your wait and ample parking spaces. I brought in my kitty for a root canal and saw Matthew Oxford who again, was lovely. I didn't feel rushed at all, he explained everything and offered me options, I didn't feel pressured into choosing any, he just laid out the information in a matter of fact way and let me choose. Procedure was done quickly, I got a phone call update and collected a few hours later when again, everything was explained. Extremely happy with the service, esp as my cat is a demon and very aggressive but still got A* treatment.

Fantastic experience: Our Westie, Pixie, underwent TPLO (on both legs) surgery in March. It was traumatic for her and us, but with Anderson Moores' skills and care, we could not thank the Team enough, especially that of her Consultant, Kate Holroyd. Watching her yesterday, enjoying her freedom again, was magical. Thankyou xx

Fantastic experience: Absolutely impressive from start to finish. My dog received first class care and the veterinary surgeon Maria was outstanding. She was so professional explaining every step of the way clearly and keeping me fully updated following the operation. She could not have been kinder, more helpful or friendlier. I really felt my dog to be in safe hands and he was. All the staff were helpful, warm and friendly as well. I cannot thank them enough.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Anderson Moore’s Veterinary Hospital. A professional, prompt and compassionate service in dealing with an injury to our Cocker Spaniel. Thank you to all at Anderson Moore’s.

Ronaldo Himenez Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: They prolong the process by not providing the necessary treatment and taking your extra money. I think the employees' diplomas should be examined. It raises doubts about whether they have enough experience. They also threaten to put an animal that has a 90 percent chance of survival to sleep if you don't have enough money.

Martin Gurman Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Very friendly helpful staff, everything was explained from start to finish couldn't be more happy.

TheBigBlue Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: This is a practice which in my opinion is in serious decline where professional standards, care, empathy, and communication by veterinary staff are less than zero. We have left the practice after two years because, quite frankly enough was enough. There are a number of serious issues here. Many are easily fixed but ultimately veterinary staff need to go. The practice is predominantly staffed by Spanish and Italian vets. The Spanish vets spoken English is so poor that it borders on unintelligible. Their accents are so heavy and they refuse to adapt their communication style accordingly, they just rely on medical terminology without explanation. Not one of these vets have the slightest ability to explain or describe information in a clear or concise manner or indeed communicate with the slightest degree of empathy, they appear disinterested, too busy and as if you are a hindrance. We were predominantly seen by the cardiology department. Since the new head took over, standards have fallen off a cliff. Typically, your animal will be seen by the youngest and least clinically experienced vets whilst senior ones will make a rare appearance. The level of contempt shown by vets when you question or challenge is, in my opinion, shocking. Last week, I challenged a vet regarding the total lack of information regarding my dogs emergency admission. She was rude, arrogant and appallingly unprofessional. I then informed another vet that they had failed to fit a heart monitor device to my dog correctly ( it was loose, had happened previously, and came off the next day requiring a further 3 hour round trip back to have it refitted). The vet reluctantly walked off with my dog and half an hour later instead of refitting it had simply placed three strips of tape over one of its sides! I told him if he and the practice couldn't do such simple things properly than why bother? Went home and the next morning the monitor had come off as expected. Linnaeus group need to clear out a number of clearly very problematic vets at this practice and remind those that remain that the clients fund them, they must treat them with respect and they should be grateful to be able to work in a country where they are able to charge such extortionate fees. This practice has earned around £35,000 from us in the past 24 months and they will never see another penny from us again nor will we ever recommend anyone uses them. Do your due diligence and find another practice.

Fantastic experience: Welcoming friendly staff. My dog is very nervous of strangers, the staff here put me at ease which put my dog at ease. I was allowed to stay with her until she was sedated. She had to have her ACL repaired and stay in over night. She was very well looked after and I was kept in the loop throughout the whole process. Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: Every single person we met was so welcoming and kind. The reception staff were so helpful and the Neurology and Orthopedic team we saw were very thorough. Everything was explained fully to us, and they were as concerned about both our dogs health and not having us pay for potentially unnecessary procedures as we were. We finally have some answers after a distressing few weeks and with their help, can start making a plan to go forward with. Thank you

Fantastic experience: My dog was very ill and referred to Anderson Moore's, we were greeted by a friendly vet immediately and Ellie was given the best treatment for her terminal condition.everything was explained to us professionally and with empathy. We were able to bring Ellie home feeling a lot better than she had been and to enjoy the rest of her time in comfort with her mum and dad

Fantastic experience: Highly recommended, the car for my dog was exceptional, the staff were very welcoming and informative throughout the whole process and couldn’t fault them. The practice itself was very clean and tidy and special little touches made you feel comfortable. 10/10

Richard Hughes Posted on Google 1 year ago

Positive experience: Great staff, great building, great coffee and even greater prices. 24hrs at Anderson Moores for respiratory/cough investigation etc was over £4500. That’s cat dropped off on Wednesday and picked up on Thursday. An obscene figure in my opinion. Luckily our pet was insured. Oh, and this figure was apparently a preferential rate/deal! I can’t fault the care and expertise of the staff though, they were great and my cat is now on the mend. I’ve had good communication with them post care and any questions or concerns I’ve had have been answered quickly and professionally. Many thanks to the staff for treating our beloved cat. I would give 6 stars if I could for the treatment and care but 4 out of 5 stars due to cost.

Fantastic experience: The staff from receptionist to vet are so polite kind and welcoming, myself and Red my dog, felt relaxed as soon as we walked in. Everything was explained to me and my thoughts and concerns were dealt with, with patience. Red was looked after wonderfully and was'nt stressed by it all. His aftercare has been really good and they are always there if needed. I would certainly recommend this vets to anyone...thank you for your care and kindness...

Mark Bechter Posted on Google 2 years ago

Negative experience: Please beware if you are self funding. We have used AM several times and most recently had a terrible experience. Cancelled surgery on the day, unnecessary investigations and errors in billing (£200). No sense of customer service, when finally fault was acknowledged, they just wanted us to sign a gagging order to prevent us sharing how poorly we were treated. Clients have 2 legs as well as your 4 legged ones.

Fantastic experience: Had a referral here recently . Consultation was very thorough. Everything explained in a easy to understand manner. Costs were explained before going ahead. The waiting room, consultation rooms were very clean and tidy. Hot drinks were available. They have details of nearby places you can get food and drink if you have a long wait for treatment to take place. Everything followed up with an email and a phone call.

Brian Hepburn Posted on Google 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: All the staff were very welcoming to both myself and our dog from the moment we made an appointment, so even before we walked through the door. During the discussion of the history I was allowed time to explain how I felt things had gone up to that point, my concerns and hopes for the investigation/tests after which we thoroughly discussed the planned tests, what they should help show and how that would feed back into other tests to hopefully achieve a diagnosis. All through it I was able to ask questions and I was fully involved in the plan and the associated costs. It was all done in a comfortable, friendly, private environment and by the time I left our dog with them for an overnight stay I felt more confident and comfortable with our dog's situation and outlook and a lot less stressed than I had been in months. Our dog was clearly well looked after and cared for whilst in their care and again the results were fully explained without rushing and again we were given ample time to ask questions as these were discussed. An amazing team of amazing people taking the same care with our dog as we would at home.

Tina Doyle Posted on Google 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: Knowledge and expertise of staff is incredible. Huan knew what the condition was from the start, tests just confirmed the diagnosis. They are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. They genuinely care about you and your pet and take the time to talk you through everything from start to finish. Our GSD Bella has been to Andersonmoore twice now with two separate conditions and they have given her, her life back and allowed her to be comfortable and happy. Would recommend to anyone!

Fantastic experience: Came with Borris and was guided through everything they were going to investigate in a caring but matter of fact manner. Advised of potential risks and an outline of the costings

Kiran Bhusate Posted on Google 2 years ago

Negative experience: I’m not one to leave a bad review, but we haven’t had the best recent experience with Anderson Moores, particularly their duty of care for our 4 year old pet (Rocky) and their negligence and lack of accountability for mistakes. I wouldn’t put trust in them for future care of any pets. Their AM team failed to recognize a medical emergency and instead wasted days doing unnecessary testing. Ultimately, this led to the passing of our pet under distressing circumstances. I would be cautious if you are entrusting Anderson Moores with your pet, we put our trust in Sophie and the team who ultimately failed us.

M Z Posted on Google 2 years ago

Negative experience: Despite going there for the first time, receptionists were nice, polite, friendly. But in general I find it like waste of time. Being told from vet my cat has an anal gland cancer, questioned him about some stuff, then gave us a hope it might not be. Told me he will call me following Wednesday (just curious what year he meant) nobody can give us an answer. Just basically using our sad and worried times to drain more money. For 30min talk, that they don't know too much about this cancer and pay £300 bill is quiet nonsense. Barely looked at my cat.

Paula Elliott Posted on Google 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: When I learned that my little dog had myopathy of the spine, I was devastated. I had been told that he could have an operation to correct things and I set about finding the right person to perform the operation. My dog is everything to me, I would literally sell a kidney for him. I considered Fitzpatrick Referrals – the Supervet on TV. My initial impression of them though was not good and a friend emailed me their Trustpilot reviews and told me not to be seduced by the glamour of television. I read enough one and two-star reviews of FR to be dissuaded from going there, in fairness, I don’t think Noel Fitzpatrick does a huge amount there anymore. Another vet I encountered was not able to give me a direct/straight answer about how many times she had performed the surgery and a few things about the consultation made me uneasy. A friend then told me about Anderson Moores Vets just outside Winchester and I googled them. I discovered Ed Ives and he looked very impressive on paper – Cambridge educated, RCVS approved vet on Neurology and Neurosurgery and loads of publications; so I had a referral made to see him. What can I say? What an impressive vet! My initial consultation with him imbued me with confidence and I just knew that I had found the right vet and the right practice to trust them with my little man! Ed was able to show me the scans slide by slide (the original practice I had been to, had not – kept saying the computers don’t work in this room). Ed had a 3-D model of the spine and was able to explain in so much detail what my dog’s abnormalities were and what they would do to correct it! He spent ages examining my dog, making him run round, hop, skip and jump so that he could see the full extent of the problem. He also took a very detailed history about his previous operations. It was comprehensive and I felt so reassured. What I liked most about Ed was that I trusted him from the outset. He gave me a straight answer about how many times he had performed the specific spinal stabilisation surgery, and I had no doubt that he had loads of experience. I felt that he was honest and trustworthy and that is the crux of the doctor/patient or vet/pooch relationship! There are never any guarantees with any medical procedure but I felt that Ed gave me all the information that I needed to make an informed decision. Also, I felt that he would always make the decision that was best for the dog. My little man was eleven years old – but otherwise very active and healthy. Had Ed felt that spinal stabilisation surgery was too much for an eleven year old, I would have been guided by him. Leading up to the day of the surgery I was given very clear instructions and the support staff on reception were always very helpful. Unlike some practices, I did not feel that they were very money grabbing, they were not in a hurry to take payment from me and everything was clearly explained. On the day of the operation, I was very anxious, but they kept me copiously informed. Can I just say, you may think that the thousands of pounds you pay for an operation (if the dog is not insured) is a lot – but my little man had the best part of a seven hour operation. Ed worked until way past 9pm and my little man was in surgery for over six hours! Just think of the supreme concentration and effort required by all those vets/surgery team to perform such intricate work for so long! I am in awe at their skill, dedication and concentration! And they start at 9am the next day – so it really is a vocation that eats into their social and family time. I felt privileged to have had Ed operate on my little man. So, if your animal needs spinal surgery, I can wholeheartedly recommend Ed Ives and Anderson Moores. I could not fault the service. What was a very stressful and considered decision for me, was made as smooth and as stress free as possible. In my book, Ed Ives is now St Ives, as he saved my little man’s mobility!

Fantastic experience: My dog Willow was in for investigations regarding ongoing issues. The staff were polite and friendly. The vet was very understanding of my dogs needs and that she was anxious and took time in the consultation to comfort her. All procedures were explained fully and we left with a detailed report and next steps for Willow.

Fantastic experience: I can't speak highly enough of this vet hospital and the wonderful people who work in it. After an urgent referral for my Ragdoll Heart (and just before Christmas!!) everything was sorted quickly and easily. The services they provide are top notch and having never left my young cat anywhere, I felt confident leaving her in their capable hands. Everything was explained clearly and I was given constant updates through the whole process. After all my many years of owning cats this was my first visit as an urgent case to a specialised vet hospital and they put me at ease the whole way. If you want compassion, high quality of care and clear communication, you can 100% trust this group of specialist with your precious cat or dog! Can't recommend them more!

Fantastic experience: Anderson Moores provided and excellent service. Not only did they save my precious boy, they looked after me during the most stressful time. Couldn't recommend them more.

Fantastic experience: Both my boys have been treated for the last year or 2 by Anderson Moores Specialists and would recommend them every time. From the reception team all the way to the veterinery staff they provide unconditional love & care to the animals brought through the front door. Highly skilled and provide constant updates to throughout any procedure or even checks being done. Shout out to Pedro, Mara, Valentina and Inigo

Fantastic experience: My girl Clara had been coming to Anderson Moores since she was diagnosed with Lymphoma in July. Her vet Paula is so lovely, and put me and Clara at ease. The oncology and reception teams were always kind and helpful. Everyone was always on hand if I called/emailed in asking for advice and I never felt bad for reaching out. Paula was honest with me about Clara’s prognosis, and I did a lot to prepare myself for her eventual deterioration and passing. At her penultimate appointment, we discussed Clara’s quality of life in a gentle way. I took her home knowing she was still happy, but to really make sure she was still having a good life. Later that week I decided that I didn’t want her to get any sicker - at this time she didn’t seem like she was in pain but was just more tired and had lost about 1/3 of her weight. I decided that her routine appointment on Monday would be her last. She passed away peacefully in my arms with Paula and Charlotte (Oncology Nurse) by her side. She had wonderful treatment at Anderson Moores and had the best passing that any pet owner could want for their pet. I feel at peace knowing that she’s not suffering and remember all the happy years we had together. Thank you for your support over the last 5 months ❤️ the extra time I had with Clara means everything to me. Here’s a photo of Clara in happier and healthier times.

Negative experience: Absolutely awful no empathy whatsoever be aware if you go here get ready to remortgage your house ! An appointment is £275 before any treatments, my total bill was 12 grand & I lost my boy, now i have debt collectors on to me for another grand that i dont even owe ! When this company was owned by Anderson Moores it was excellent plz be aware this is going to cost a you an absolute fortune if you take your pet here & you won't even get a sympathy card soul destroying & they only respond to high reviews !!

Fantastic experience: Massive thank you to the staff at Anderson Moore’s and especially to Juan for the good care of my dog Barney. We was recently referred for keyhole arthroscopy surgery after getting a elbow dysphasia diagnosis they have been great and extremely helpful in answering any question. The surgery itself is very nice and well presented with building work undergoing, my partner saw where our dog was kept in aftercare and he was very happy with the facilities and how he was being cared for, when it comes to barney we want the best and we believe that’s what he got here . After a very bad experience at a previous vet our dog who once loved the vets is now fearful, cautious and now can be difficult to examine which can make some vets nervous with him being a big breed but Juan took it all his stride and didn’t let it bother him, a very confident vet which makes us as owners feel more at ease.

Fantastic experience: A truly caring, professional establishment. I really cannot fault the service provided. Although the outcome wasn’t what I was hoping for, it was dealt with with compassion and kindness. I would highly recommend this practice

Fantastic experience: My puppy was referred to Anderson Moores for suspected epilepsy. I cannot thank the team more for their support. All of the team I had an interaction with were lovely, especially the vet Sophie who I cannot speak highly enough of. She put me at ease straight away and I felt like my pup was in the best hands. We are now super clear on how to manage him and the plan for the foreseeable. Sophie you are amazing!! Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Gem was referred by our vet due to possible heart issues and to have further investigation. The visit was extremely good, the staff were lovely from the moment you walked in and Kiri the vet was so kind and gentle with her. Everything was explained both before and after her scan, and for a reactive dog she was very relaxed with the whole procedure.

Fantastic experience: Dear Winchester Specialist Clinic, I wanted to express my heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional care you provided to my 4-year-old Border Collie, Buddy, who suffered a spinal broken and underwent a 6-hour surgery with the implantation of 8 implants on September 23rd. From the moment I arrived at the clinic, you showed empathy, understanding of my deep distress, and a profound love for animals. What's more, your team of highly qualified specialists. The surgery itself was a complex and lengthy procedure, but the updates I received, even at 11 PM, reassured me. I extend my immense gratitude to the entire management team, to the anesthesiologist, Anna Szewczyk, who diligently maintained Buddy's stable condition throughout those critical hours, to the Neurologist who admitted us and performed the surgery, Tomas Elvira Rodriguez, to the Head of Neurosurgery, Edward Ives, and to the entire staff, from the receptionists to the nurses, who provided unwavering care for our beloved Buddy. Words cannot adequately express the depth of my gratitude. Please know that you can always count on me for any support or assistance you may need in the future. Thank you, thank you, thank you.❤️❤️❤️❤️ Warm regards, Adriana Wojtecka

Fantastic experience: Took incredible care of my pup. From the greeting at reception to taking my pup back home the service was brilliant. Particular mention to the intern Juan Luis and to the surgeon Maria who cared for him, and performed a TECA on him (and Ewan in dermatology who we previously saw). They have a genuine love for animals. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic experience: This vets is amazing, they are so professional and experts in their field. They kept me posted on my dogs progress, contacted me with regular updates when promised, advised me about the ongoing costs and did everything possible for my dog. Wish all vets were like them. Your pet could not be in any better hands.

Family furness Posted on Google 2 years ago

Negative experience: Absolutely terrible!! They have no compassion whatsoever! We lost our beloved family dog, not even a condolence card! Unfortunately they are paying on people's compassion for their beloved pets & are only thinking of money! Impossible to communicate with you just get past around from office to office person to person! Round & round! Money grabbers! This used to be such a lovely kind place, now they are only after one thing!

Anita Graham Posted on Google 2 years ago

Positive experience: Very clean, friendly staff and nice premises. The vets are very knowledgable but the prices are ridiculous since they've been taken over by one of the 5 big companies. Be prepared as even insurance doesn't cover all of the costs.

Melanie Hodgkinson Posted on Google 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: Fantastic from the moment you walk through the door. Every members of staff was attentive, professional and you could tell there was genuine care for the animals they care for. Thank you!

Negative experience: I wasn’t going to review this place before Google asked me to. But here it goes. I was very disappointed with the place - not with the cleanliness or the service. The place was welcoming, spotless and the staff were absolutely lovely. However, it is clear that the place is a money making business rather than a place which prioritises health care and pets. I was charged £250 for a 10 mins consultation with the neurology vet (no tests - just a chat) only to be transferred to the orthopaedic vet - another £250 for a 10 min chat. They concluded (what we thought we knew all along) that the dog needs surgery on both knees. We were told this would cost a minimum of £6,500 and they do not do payment plans. We got a second opinion at a different specialist (who would have charged £2,500 tops) and they told us that the dog is way way too young for such a surgery and that it would fail and have to be redone anyway. So why were we told to do this surgery at Anderson Moores? It feels like that the dog’s welfare was not a priority, but money was. This is not fair.

Fantastic experience: When I tell you the experience from start to finish was comforting, I’m not lying! I had my pup as a therapy pup and the pup needed BOAS surgery (we already had one of our babies have a surgery here buuut-). I was a nervous wreck from the first initial appointment (was anxious, cried and couldn’t get my words out even when I wasn’t crying) through until picking him up and everyone was so kind and thoughtful! The vets/nurses really took their time in explaining the procedure and left me with no questions to ask as they were so in-depth with the description from the day pup was going in, the procedure itself, the hour before and after, and the after care. Took the nervous words out of my mouth! And as lovely as the vets and nurses were, the reception staff were bloody beauts! Everyone forgets about the reviews of the front desk, but they were incredibly empathetic, informative and thoughtful! They let me know when pup was due to go in, how he was getting on, ensuring the vet gave my nervous butt a ring to let me know how it went and helped with all forms needed (in terms of the insurance route as the insurance company made it too confusing). My baby doesn’t sound like a scooter anymore and is already healing up nicely almost a month after. I could never describe the words to thank you all for what you’ve done for my baby

Fantastic experience: My retriever went in for a TPLO and they discovered a heart condition. They were excellent and the Surgeon, Cat, was wonderful. We had a set back and she saw our dig that day which, was a bank holiday. Drugs are expensive, a box of Vetmedin was £180 yet Pet drugs online sell it dor £38 but to be fair, they did tell us. Great aftercare and great team

Fantastic experience: Malu had a bilateral perineal hernia surgery recently. I can’t thank enough the care, help, kindness and love we received here. From the first call with the reception to the discharge of Malu, every single person was kind, professional and very helpful. Amazing vets, nurses, receptionists, thank you from Malu and I!

Fantastic experience: Really lovely team (we were seen my Juan who is so kind, professional and knowledgeable), receptionists friendly and informative and you know your pets are in safe hands there. Only niggle would be prices are quite high but it’s a referral with the best equipment.

Karen Addison Posted on Google 2 years ago

Negative experience: Massively incompetent and grossly overpriced. My cat was referred for cancer. They insisted on doing lots of unnecessary procedures which I knew would not show anything. I was treated like I knew nothing even though I'm in the medical field myself and I know what lab tests are, what they do, and the purpose of each test. Yet they insisted even when I said no, indicating they are more interested in costing their clients more money (for nothing). The worst was they did THREE biopsies on my cat, yet still missed the cancer. If this isn't sheer incompetence, then I don't know what is! My cat has since lost her life to cancer which they said was not cancer. Utterly useless practice and uncaring vets!

richard gray Posted on Google 2 years ago

Negative experience: Tread very carefully here. In my experience the place is run by interns (trainees). Please look beneath the veneer of the reception area. Insist you talk to and only deal with a qualified and experienced vet and not a very sweet talking trainee (intern). My pet suffered at the hands of this practice and always came out much worse than when she went in. Traumatic experience and died shortly afterwards. I wouldn't dream of taking my pet here. A money making machine.

Fantastic experience: Our 9 year old spaniel, Maple, was suddenly in a lot of pain when she moved one morning. When she did attempt to stand or walk, she would drag her paws and wasn't able to lift her head. She deteriorated rapidly within the 24 hours after visiting our local vet and we were referred to Anderson Moores. They called us within 30 mins of the referral and asked us to come straight down. We were seen immediately on arrival by Alice who conducted a thorough examination which took about two hours, but Maple seemed to be very at ease and happy to let Alice do her thing. Alice explained her assessment to us in detail and the two possible options. We decided to opt for surgery and Maple was taken for an MRI immediately and had surgery that afternoon. Maple stayed with Anderson Moores for two days after surgery and we were updated every morning by Alice. When I collected Maple, we were given a full report of her surgery and the aftercare. I did contact Anderson Moores the next day (a Saturday) as Maple had a developed a very sore patch where she had been clipped which was weeping slightly. I received a reply from Ed, who carried out her surgery, within an hour or so with recommendations which we followed and her skin seemed less raw and began to heal very quickly. Its now been two weeks since her surgery and you wouldn't know anything had happened. Her scar is almost invisible, due to the very neat internal stitches, and she is desperate to get out and run about, but we are still keeping her rested for now. Anderson Moores are highly professional, caring and lovely. I'm so glad we were referred to them and Maple was in the best hands. Thank you for taking such good care of our lovely girl.

Fantastic experience: They are Super hero's for everything they do. Our Westie Bonnie has been referred on 3 occasions and each time come away so much better xx

Norman Moon Posted on Google 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: Absolutely Amazing Service, had Ed Vines as our specialist, had 2hrs in total where this gent delved into everything related to my dogs issue, next steps, options etc. Came away feeling comfortable with next steps, 5 day turn around for a spinal operation and my lil furball is on the mend. This is not a cheap place, but the service they provide your pets is justified.

Fantastic experience: Lovely people and very knowledgeable specialists. They looked after our beautiful little Lilley in May 2023, unfortunately she didn't make it but we was happy she was in the right hands, and was looked after well

Fantastic experience: What an absolutely amazing, professional veterinary hospital, unfortunately our outcome wasn't good and we lost our little cockapoo but they tried so very hard, and have been so supportive. Highly recommended

Fantastic experience: What wonderful caring staff, my husband and I couldn’t of wished for a better place to care for our beautiful cat!

Lily Hinch Posted on Google 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: I needed a neurology referral for my dog and they got me an appointment so quickly due to his condition accelerating. Guila was an absolutely fantastic vet who went very in depth about everything and very kind to out dog who unfortunately is very aggressive in a veterinary environment. I was able to stay and help restrain him for blood tests and he was able to sit with me outside in their woodlands walk area until they were just about to give him the anaesthetic for his MRI to help prevent as much stress as possible. They were very honest and attentive and I even had to call the out of hours line and someone got back to me very fast. Lots of people complain about pricing but for this standard of care and knowledge this is about what I would expect! Very grateful that they are there a great team overall and very nice building.

David Bryden Posted on Google 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: Kind, caring and will do everything possible for a pet. Even though our Jack Russell was very ill, the vets and nurses tried their hardest to save her and make her comfortable. Unfortunately they couldn't do the impossible. But thanks for their care and attention.

Fantastic experience: Superb facility, staff friendly, very helpful, sympathetic, and give full, easily understood explanations of conditions and possible treatments. Lucy McMahon was our allocated Clinician, put us at ease, and was excellent with Esme our Cocker Spaniel, we have confidence that the advice we are receiving is top class, thank you to the AM team!!

Keith Williams Posted on Google 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: We have a 12 year old Westie called Dougal, who was very recently diagnosed with possible bowel cancer. As any real animal lover knows, your pets are more than pets, they are truly loved and should be treated as members of your family and you only want the best for them. We were given a choice of veterinary hospitals by our vet to investigate the problem further and to operate to remove the growth and we decided on Anderson Moore's near Winchester. How glad we were that we chose them, as from the outset we were treated with so much kindness and compassion by all members of the staff, particularly by Lucy and not forgetting the young ladies who nursed him afterwards. Dougal had to have an operation to remove the cancer but in the process another area of concern was found and we are now waiting for the biopsy reports to confirm what it is which, as you can imagine, is very stressful for us. Even so, the stress could have been far worse had it not been for all of the staff with their caring & helpful nature. So, if you have a pet who needs a little more treatment than your own vet can provide then I can wholly recommend Anderson Moore's. Thank you once again to all who helped our little pal and our fingers are crossed that he gets a clean bill of health.

Kerry Milne Posted on Google 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: Took our little pup for a big operation. All staff involved were really attentive and explained each step clearly ensuring we understood what was happening. Our pup had to stay in for a few days and we received telephone calls updating us. Although prices are somewhat eye watering, it is completely justified by the expertise and care they showed.

Claudia, if you are reading this please know that we love you to the moon & back for everything you done for our darling dog Angel . You are a fantastic vet & will be very sadly missed Wishing you Love , Health & Happiness in the future ❤ All our love Elizabeth Chris & Angel woof woof ❤❤❤❤XXXX

Helen Anderson Posted on Google 3 years ago

Negative experience: Where to start .. we got referred here as our cat needed a big operation on his ears. We took him the first time to be seen by a dermatologist £400 and a £250 deposit later we were told we needed to actually see the surgeon .. we went ahead with the surgery £6k ! To have our cats ear turn black within a few weeks and ended up needing to be amputated. I’ve made a formal complaint to be ignored for weeks , every time I ring I get told management isn’t there and am shocked that a company like this will not only not respond but go out there way to ignore you. Disappointing and massively stressful

Sarah Burkhalter Posted on Google 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: We were so impressed with the care and attention given to our very anxious dog. We came in for an emergency appointment and all staff encountered were extremely knowledgeable and helpful during a high stress time for us all. We even received a follow-up call after we had been referred back to our normal vet. Very impressed.
