Fantastic experience: It's a fantastic practice. Never had to wait longer than appointment time and the staff and Dr's are so welcoming and helpful, which has made each visit hassle and stress free for my Bengal and I. So happy that this place was recommended to me.

Negative experience: 5 stars reduced to 1 star. Too many patients and not enough staff. Certain reception staff members are hard work to deal with. Hard to get treatment for basic illnesses but bombarded with texts to sign up for additional extras.

Positive experience: MUCH TOO EXPENSIVE NOW ‍♂️. It was a good vets with competitive prices back in the day but I’ve decided to go elsewhere now. Their prices are now a lot more expensive than other vets I’ve used in the past. Sorry but with the cost of living these days. This vet is no longer affordable to use for all my pets.

Fantastic experience: Myself and my wife claire would like to thank the lovely vet who had to put our hamster fudge to sleep today. My wife was devastated and was in a mess. Negative experience: If i could give 0 stars i would. Since they have been bought over you get spoken to like a child over the phone and not even allowed to finish explaining why you are phoning. Horrendous times for appointments now, quicker getting booked in at your GP. Honestly never experienced service like this in the past for however many years i have used them.

Fantastic experience: The Vets at Martin Veterinary Centre are really good with both the animals and the owners. Nothing is too much trouble and everything is well explained. I'm very happy with the service from Martins and definitely recommend them.

Fantastic experience: If you want your pet handled with the utmost care- Martin Vets is the place to go. Martin Vets have always looked after our girl Luna, answered any of our questions and reassured us. This 5* service was particularly evident today when I showed up on the wrong date for an appointment due to a mistake on the online booking system. The lovely ladies at reception tried their best to find any staff available to see Luna so I wouldn't need to wait when she was uncomfortable. Nina then handled Luna perfectly, provided great advice and made us feel well looked after. It is absolutely worth the investment in your pet to bring them here.

Fantastic experience: They look after my cats and dog very well. Friendly and helpful staff. They stayed late on a Saturday afternoon to help my cat who was in distress, I’m very grateful. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: Wasnt allowed to stay with my cat spoje to me as if im stupid but who knows what done behind my back NEVER AGAIN!!!!! My boy didnt come out papers are involved killed my boy!!!!

Fantastic experience: The best vets in East Dunbartonshire, without a doubt. My wee cat wasn't in ten minutes and back out again. He was wearing all his PPE and all his customers wearing masks to prevent the further spread of Covid-19. You are not allowed into the vets. Martin comes out to collect your animal and goes back in on his own, excellent practice with high standards.

Fantastic experience: I took Ruby for a review of her medication and the possibility of reducing the dosage. The vet gave her a thorough examination and after discussing Ruby's behaviour agreed that it was worth attempting to reduce the dosage to once a day. She explained what to look out for during the reduction and stated that should I feel concerned that her behavior was being impacted I should return to two a day and contact the practice in order that the situation could be further examined. Throughout the examination the vet was careful to keep Ruby at ease. I cannot recommend this practice highly enough for the care given to my dogs by both the vets and all the practice staff.

Negative experience: Thoroughly unprofessional...520 pm appointment ...waited until.6pm until we complained ...610 pm.before we were seen too ...then vet asked about worming flea tick remedies to sell even b4 assessing our dog ..our boy was there for his yearly vac and assessment which was done professionally...every other aspect of the appointment definitely was not ... When we paid and left we were still.not given any apploligy or explanation on the long delay ...around 15 songs came and went during our wait most who arrived after or well after us ...very very dissatisfied with the customer care and light which was similar to last year when we waited 45 mins

Fantastic experience: I have been bringing my dogs to Martin Veterinary Centre for 20 years now. The vets, nurses and reception staff are outstanding. They have all been fantastic when it comes to helping my dogs feel at ease. I always feel fully informed when it comes to treatment options. The facilities are spacious and very clean, with separate waiting areas for cats and dogs.

Negative experience: So this clinic is under construction i took my older cat there 93 poind later to squeeze glands and give me some metacalm which didnt work vet thought MABEY flu but dont know Came out to book an appointment for castration 7th november to get a call today to say its not happening due to construction which was ongoing when i took other cat in i explained i had to take time off work ect and tht they knew abt work happening explained al take my cats else whare with the replie thts ok fine then AVOID staff are a joke and RUDE!!! Oh and my other cat had 10 nails cut to be charged 38 pounds so rude avoid avoid avoid Better vets out ther who actually care about your pets this is just a practice who care abt money not animals

Fantastic experience: I have brought my animals here for the past 11 years, and always feel the vets and staff have their best interests at heart. They managed to quickly diagnose an obscure illness in our cat and get him sent for the right treatment urgently, which saved his life; and they were really kind and compassionate when our beloved dog died. The reception staff are marvellous. Very happy to trust our animals with Martin Vet Surgery.

Negative experience: Avoid avoid avoid !!! Went in for an ear infection. My dog had grabbed a stick on the car park before going in which resulted in her getting a cut on her tongue. I could see myself that it was at the tip and explained this to them. They were adamant they had to sedate her to the cost of £400-£500 pounds. The price wasn’t the issue, the fact they were wanting to sedate her for a tiny cut shocked me. I asked to see her first. The bleeding had stopped, there were no signs of choking, breathlessness or struggle. So I said I would keep an eye on her. Again, they repeated a further 3 times that sedation is required. I told them NO, it wasn’t happening. After quickly checking her ears the vet then gave me a 7 day course of anti biotics for my dogs mouth, after telling me they couldn’t actually see anything. Place is all about money. Joke of a practice !

Fantastic experience: Phoned Martin Veterinary Centre, Kirkintilloch in the morning hoping for a quick appointment with my chocolate Labrador, Finn who twisted his front left leg and was seen 2 hours later. As always, the service was 1st class as was Finn's examination, which was very thorough. The vet was very knowledgeable and explained everything. Understandably, Finn was nervous and excited but was made to feel relaxed and very welcome. Finn is not very photogenic

Fantastic experience: I had to take my dog here, whilst visiting my mum, and they fitted us as a semi-emergency in even though it is not our usual veterinary practice. Whilst I was there, there was another dog who had clearly also been fitted in due to having been attacked, and they spent whatever time was needed to make sure they were ok. They couldn't have been more helpful when it came to emailing me documentation for our insurance claim. I would happily use this practice if it was my local one.

Fantastic experience: We recently had to have our beloved old dog put to sleep. Kirsten who has seen to all of Suzie’s needs over the years was absolutely amazing on the day and made the most difficult decision feel like the kindest and right thing to do. On return of Suzie’s ashes, Kirsten had taken the time to have a paw and nose print of our precious girl taken for us to keep. We could never thank her enough for her professionalism and kindness.

He has several health issues but they always make sure any medication won’t interact with his ongoing problems. Wouldn’t go anywhere else for veterinary care.

Fantastic experience: Couldn’t be happier with service and fee’s. After being quoted an astronomical amount of £1200 for an heamatoma surgery at a different vets…we called Martins and my dog was seen and operated on the very next day for less than half the price the original vet quoted. Much thorough consultation at Martins compared to the other vet who never even examined my dog.

I have always been met with friendly, efficient staff and knowledgeable professionals who have helped me to manage his condition enabling him to continue to live a happy, active life. Wouldn't go anywhere else with my pets. All my family's pets are registered with the practice. Easy parking and a bright, clean, purpose designed practice on the marina front are added bonuses

Negative experience: Recently lost my best friend suddenly. I rushed him in and they confirmed loss of life. They could have not been so nice and helpful. My insurance comfort payment kicked in to pay for cremation...but before the time we received notice some girl phoned to say that we owe them money and how am I going to pay. What card payment will I use .... I explained we have not received any payment as soon as we receive it I will be in. She again said payment is due now. Her attitude was out of order and not a comforting respect to some one who lost a family member. When I received the insurance payment I went into the to pay my bill and collect my boys ashes . I approached the desk and explained that I was here to pay my bill gave her my details not once but three times. By this time more people were waiting and they could not help hearing what was said. The final words from the reception is do you have a appointment...... I paid my bill collected my boys ashes and walked people looked shocked and smiled. The centre should look at how the staff are trained and respect to everyone who walks through their doors and how they communicate with customers. With out customers they don't have a business.

Fantastic experience: Martin Veterinary Centre has always and is the only place I would go with my pets, the staff are very friendly, helpful & always willing to give great advise. I would not trust anyone else to look after my pets. They have been so good over the many years I have been going there.

Negative experience: In general the service from the vets practise was to a standard what one would expect. However when it can to me having to get my dog put to sleep the actual process was of ending her life was fine.The problems occurred after the cremation and when collecting the ashes from the vets. I was given the ashes in what is called a scatter tube when I had specifically paid for and ask for an urn. During the process of this being resolved I had occasion to phoned for updates without fail the person on the phone clearly did not have any idea of what was going on. Which lead to the situation being more stressful than it should have been. All in All with this particular part of my pets care I can only say it was a complete shambles.

Fantastic experience: Everyone I have dealt with during my visits has been so helpful. The receptionists are always polite and accommodating and the vet staff have always listened to our concerns and advised accordingly.

Fantastic experience: Our vet Emma as always is the epitome of compassion and professionalism. Emma always has time for you is a great listener and no question is a problem for her .I took both my dogs to Emma until recently until Scampi had been very unwell after a long illness and was eventually euthanized, although this was heartbreaking for the family, Emma was so compassionate and professional explaining everything we needed to know and was so caring looking after us and our beloved wee Scampi .Emma is so genuine and down to earth and able to communicate all we needed to know in very difficult circumstances. Emma also looks after our other dog who is a rescue and can be reactive ,he adores Emma and is like a puppy in her hands, we are so grateful for Emma's knowledge, compassion and professionalism. We both look forward to visiting Emma .
