Fantastic experience: This vet makes you feel at ease took our leopard geckos in and wee never waited long to be seen by the vet they took real good care of our girl when she wasn't well also taught us how to administer medications without fear of hurting her she's all better now receptionist's are lovely and very helpful...also Everything's cleanpicture of our lil man

Fantastic experience: Fantastic staff here. They are extremely kind and compassionate here. I have taken injured wildlife here on multiple occasions, where they assessed for rehabilitation or in the worst cases, put a humane end to the suffering. This was a free service. I cannot thank them enough! It is not always possible to drive down to Hessilhead rescue, and I am grateful that Lawrie practice have assisted me and the wildlife which included a number of birds, mice, and hedgehogs

Negative experience: I ACTUALLY WROTE AN EMAIL OF COMPLAINT ON 7/8/25. A FURTHER EXAMPLE OF POOR COMMUNICATION

Fantastic experience: Cannot fault the practice. My poor baby was either hit by a car or challenged by a fox. They managed to save what was left of my girls tail and reassure me. Such lovely people.

Negative experience: Vet didn’t even pet or acknowledge my scared dog no interaction ,then was unable to muzzle him had me and my husband so stressed then was going to give my almost 14 year old dog very strong human medicine without so much as checking him over absolute worst experience of mine and my beloved dogs life .this was our third visit with the same issue and my poor baby is still no better totally waste of time

Positive experience: I have a pet cockatiel and have been referred from a general vet to Lawries if you are looking for an exotic vet for birds or other animals I recommend them not a general vet they are more knowledgeable and will not waste your time/money and will dig in to find your pets sickness issue of course the prices are very very high higher than the normal vets so please if you have a pet get pet insurance for your little guys you never know what can happen. The staff are super friendly and will reassure you that things will be okay since my cockatiel needed to be put under anaesthesia for x-rays I was very nervous since it’s a little bird the vet was understanding and I rescheduled to have a think and I done it my parrot woke up like nothing happened I am glad I got referred to them and not treated by a general vet I hope that my parrot will get better and continue treatment thank you to the vet Rebecca.

Fantastic experience: Lawrie Vets are the best vets I've ever been to, from the reception team to the vets and nurses who look after our friends. This is the only vet near Glasgow I've found to look after my birds, and they've always been incredibly knowledgeable and caring towards my cockatiels and budgie. The care they show towards animals is also reflected in their kindness towards the owners. Plus, the practice is always spotless. Can't recommend Lawrie Vets enough - thanks for getting my animals and me through some tough times

Fantastic experience: Been with Lawrie vets for over 20 years with our 2 dogs. We’re used the service over the last 20 years of neutering x2, check ups many times and Cancer diagnosis even when we put our 1st dog Baillie to sleep we received a lovely touching bereavement card for the vet personally and still got to this day. Most recently we’ve used lawrie’s vet for our 2nd dog for guidance for pain relief to find out after a Xray our boy has Arthritis in his spine so lots of information to help with referrals for Physiotherapy and Hydrotherapy for our dog Dexter. The receptionist staff are so welcoming, waiting area is super clean the nurses spoil the dogs with tummy rubs. Our vet Cat is so Knowledgeable ,supportive and caring really helpful at explaining the best treatment and looking at the future of the cost. I totally Recommend the pet plan that the practice offers so your loved 1s get Regular checkups and regular medication to keep them healthy.

Fantastic experience: I have been here several times and I have had 5 ferrets. They have always been so helpful with any questions and help me out with times as I live far away. Vets and reception have always been lovely when Iv called or been in. Iv always had fair prices and is much cheaper than other places. They actually care for the little babies and don’t treat them less because they are ferrets and not cats or dogs.

Fantastic experience: Moved to lawries with my boxer dog beau after having been at pets for vets in Cumbernauld who are only interested in the money and not in the animal especially Brian who is an arrogant man and no empathy for the animal. Becky at lawries was different class, she listened,explained all options and was genuinely interested in Beau's health. I would definitely recommend lawries for your pets .

Fantastic experience: Our first visit to Lawrie Vets and we were slightly apprehensive, not by the practice I hasten to add, but due to it being our first visit with our new puppy. We were immediately put at ease by the friendly welcome at reception and the calm, friendly and professional manner of the vet. Our puppy was at ease and there wasn’t any whimpering at all when receiving her vaccinations. They even showed patience with us as I had forgotten the vaccination card and had to go home and get it. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Lawrie vets to anyone looking for a friendly and professional service.

Fantastic experience: We lost our 11year old Maltese called Finlay in February. Lawrie’s had looked after him all of his life and when we got Loui another Maltese it was obvious we would return to them.

Negative experience: My dog died due to their negligence. The vet was cold, rude and incompetent. After lying, then eventually admitting fault, then lying again I asked if they were planning to carry out an internal review so this wouldn’t happen in future. The response was ‘I don’t know why you want to hash this out, your dog is already dead’ If you want your pets to live and be cared for, I urge you to choose a different vet.

Fantastic experience: I have used this vet clinic for years for a variety of species of pets and am always able to get an appointment very quickly when it's something urgent. Staff are always friendly and helpful, and the vets are always able to give you fairly accurate pricing for all of your options on the spot in the consulting room.

Negative experience: We had to get our Old Dog put down and in our moments of grief someone stuck a machine under our noise and asked how would you like to pay And we were under the impression that we would get his ashes back 4 members of the family heard the person say it After 3 weeks I inquire as to why we hadn't heard anything only to be told they had disposed of them thrown out with the rubbish no doubt so No I wouldn't recommend this place

Negative experience: Arrogant, always late, disorganised and incompetent,I will never use this vet practice again. When we first used Lawrie vets,they had bona fide exotic vets in their team. They all left ,we should have left the surgery then too. Both our guinea pigs died, because of misdiagnosis and incompetence. I will never forgive them

Fantastic experience: So pleased with the service my rabbit received following a referral from my own vets. Personally feel they saved her life. Handled my insurance claim promptly too. I've now moved my rabbits to the practice.

Fantastic experience: Sadly, I had to contact Lawrie Vets after my son's 10yr old rabbit died. The staff were so sympathetic in advising about cremation and so kind when I brought Scruffy to them. They also gave us a wee condolences card with his paw print and some clippings of his fur. Their caring approach was much appreciated.

Negative experience: Unbelievably arrogant practice. Was driving 40mins from Glasgow only to be refused service for being late for 5mins. The vet did not even care to take a look at the patient and see if immediate attention was required (such as pain relief). As a healthcare provider they show zero empathy to clients and patients. Total disgrace to the profession and industry. Will report them to the board for negligence

Fantastic experience: My pup Josh wasn’t been his usual self, his vet didn’t really cared about my worries, so we took him to Lawrie Cumbernauld and he was seen by Katie. One the first consult she found lumps on him, which turned out to be cancer thanks to Katie and the lovely team we were able to have a few more precious month with him. When Josh’s brother Hugo got sick, it was thanks to Katie guidance and recommendations that help us give him a few extra months of happiness before he crossed the rainbow bridge to be with his brother. Losing both our boys was and still is one of the most sad moments of our lives and Katie and team were always kind and compassionate to us. They are the best!

Fantastic experience: Great service and were fab with our budgie highly recommend, they spoke us through everything and put us at ease.

Positive experience: Okay when they actually handle pets with care however could be more efficient in a few area's more reception related.

Negative experience: Absolutely abysmal customer service, avoid at all costs, money grabbers that don’t have your pets interest at heart in the slightest. Disgusting!
