Pets'n'Vets in Glasgow - The Roundhouse Veterinary Hospital: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Great staff very approachable. Made my new pup feel comfortable and calm while they did his claws and health check. ☺️
Fantastic experience: All vets, nurses and receptionists always been kind and great with my dog during check ups, vaccinations and a general anaesthetic operation. Decent pet plan. Appointments run to time. Good opening hours. Easy parking. Big waiting room.
Fantastic experience: Excellent service. Amazing staff and fabulous facilities.
Fantastic experience: Friendly and professional staff on every visit. Dedicated cat space. Staff obviously care about animals and are always happy to answer questions.
Negative experience: Bought 100ml of metacam for my dog at £85. When I got home I looked online at it was £16.50. Wha is this other than absolute rent seeking? I’ve been totally scammed. AVOID BUYING MEDICINE. GET THE VET TO DO THE PRESCRIPTION AND FULFILL IT SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!
Negative experience: I got a 7 month old rescue dog who didn’t pee when I took her out. I went to the Roundhouse vet who examined her thoroughly and told me her bladder was full and she would need an operation to empty her bladder and it was at dangerous levels and it would require an anaesthetic and an overnight stay. It would cost £2500. I decided to go and have a think about it. I then decided to get a second opinion. I went to my old vet and they also examined her. They said her bladder was fine and that she was definitely peeing somewhere and that I should go back and check my house. I did and discovered she had been peeing in a back room on some rugs. What’s that all about Roundhouse vets??? Dodged a bullet there I think.
Fantastic experience: Clean, calm ,environment giving excellent care. Polite staff.
Fantastic experience: This isn’t our usual vet but we took our staffy here for her spay as our vet doesn’t offer keyhole surgery. From the very first phone call with the booking team, I felt totally at ease. Rebecca was so kind, patient and helpful with getting us booked in. All of the staff in the surgery itself were lovely. Throughout the whole process, from the consultation to the surgery to the post-op check-up, we felt totally reassured and included. Our dog is usually very anxious in the vets but we had absolute confidence in the team to take care of her. And whatever they did worked magic because she went skipping back in when it was time for her post-op check up! Thank you so much to the whole team for making it such a stress-free experience for both us and our wee pup. We couldn’t recommend you highly enough and are so pleased that we decided to go with you.
Fantastic experience: Great products for animals.. Clean and tidy store.. Polite and Helpful Staff
Fantastic experience: We've been coming here for many years with our family pets. The vets ane nurses are incredibly helpful and you feel very well looked after. All the staff truly care for ani.als and you can see it in every interaction. Ruth has taken care of my kitten since day 1 and I love this personal touch.
Fantastic experience: We needed emergency out of hours assistance after our puggle injured herself. Staff were calm, welcoming and attentive. Bella got the best care and treatment needed and price was reasonable
Fantastic experience: Amazing vets, helped us with rescuing a wild animal. Will definitely be back once we'll get our first pet!
Negative experience: only 1 star so i could post this, will drain all the money they can from you. one time i was in,a woman who hadnt seen my dog before told me that the best thing to do was put her down(she had a leg infection which was swelling up),i told her no chance and the woman told me if i left she would call the police,to which i told her you will need more than that to stop me leaving here with my dog,I want to speak to your superior right now. he came in,had a quick look,my wee dog was happy to see him for a clap, she jumped up onto the 4 foot high table when he tapped it when i thought id have to lift her,and then a minute later turned to the woman and said "shes lively, happy and healthy apart from the leg,why did you say to this guy she needed to be put to sleep?". I laughed at her in a very sarcastically but angry way,and called her what she was...dont use this practice, you will be bled dry in bills, and thats if you dont get coerced into euthanising your pet first.
Negative experience: I have been a customer of this practice for almost 3 years, all my 3 dogs are on the £20 (£60) total plans for their routines treatments. One of my dogs Milo is a rescue from Bulgaria, when I registered at the practice the vet seen he had a Brucellosis negative result. I was told that was fine no issues at all. I went in today for their routine vaccines & the vet told me the policy has changed. I was so upset because they basically said to me if my dog was bleeding internally on a table they wouldn’t treat him, my dogs are like my kids & I love them so dearly, so to speak about my dog in that manner was horrific & very upsetting. I was told I’d also be charged £82 for this test, I feel really upset & angry by this. I have been a loyal & faithful customer of theirs these past few years & I have been so badly let down by this experience, it was horrible. The so called lead vet called back when I got home as I called up really upset, I found her manner very condescending & abrupt. I would now not recommend this practice whatsoever which is a shame as I thought they had heart until today. Do yourself a favour take your money elsewhere to a practice that actually values you & your animals.
Fantastic experience: If your not with the Roundhouse veterinary Hospital, I'd say join them or their other vet throughout Glasgow, I swear you won't be disappointed. . This veterinary Hospital went above and beyond for my my beautiful cocker and answered all my questions putting me at ease also. They treated my dog like she was part of the family and I really can't thank them enough.... 20 out of 10
Fantastic experience: Excellent vets. Staff are so helpful . parking onsite
Fantastic experience: An efficient and professional service from Staff who really care for the well being of pets (and understand the anxiety of owners). Will be using their services exclusively for the care of my much loved cat!
Fantastic experience: We switched to this vet because we were unhappy with our previous and our dog was very unwell. The care we received was thorough and compassionate, all the way until we had to make the decision to say goodbye to our beloved dog. It is more expensive than others but in this case, you get what you pay for and we’re happy that our dog was in the least amount of pain possible when she passed. The only negative I would point out is that when it came to insurance claims, there was a lot of confusion it seemed - doesn’t matter to us anymore though unfortunately.
Fantastic experience: No problems nice experience in and out no drama's.
Fantastic experience: Very attentive & accommodating vets
Negative experience: Some of the vets that work at the roundhouse are extremely good, but like all workplaces, there are exceptions. Last month, my cat Jack was put to sleep due to a blocked bladder. I was warned before I had gone to this hospital that they are ultra busy due to the lockdown and resources were scarce. I rushed my cat to this hospital as soon as I could thinking they could unblock the cat and also perform surgery to avoid this happening again, which I was happy to pay for. The following morning, I got a call at 5am from a vet (I can't remember the name, just the Irish accent) informing me that they could not install a catheter due to spasms. This was followed by a barrage of sighing and when we went through the options, he pretty much put an extremely negative slant on them all, maneuvering me into accepting he had to be euthanized. This may have been unavoidable and I would like to think that was the case, but after getting a second opinion from another vet, she has asked why the hospital did not administer an anti spasm medication when installing the catheter failed the first time. I requested an investigation from the hospital last month. It is now the 4th of October and I have had no communication from them. The other issue that bothered me was that after agreeing to put Jack down, they could see myself and my wife were both very upset. Rather than give us a day to greave or even half a day, I got a call 2 hours later asking for my card number to pay for Jacks treatment and also for the cremation services. I guess vets are used to putting down animals, but I would expect some empathy from them, I mean, what's a day to them? I still believe if I had taken Jack to the Garscube vet hospital, he would still be alive today and would have been given the medication to relax his spasms, but it's too late now. If you find yourself in a similar position and and advised to put your pet down, consider getting a second opinion even more so if you are warned they may be too busy to do anything due to the lockdown. If someone tells you that, they should really be advising you try somewhere else rather than play Russian roulette with your pets life and your wallet.
Fantastic experience: Lovely, friendly staff. Welcoming surroundings. Would certainly recommend Pets'n'Vets.
Fantastic experience: Would highly recommend. I would like to thank Fiona who performed BOAS plus hernia operations on Oscar. Also thank the nursing staff who looked after him post op.
Fantastic experience: The roundhouse pet’nVets are excellent all the staff are great at their jobs. The reception staff are very friendly and welcoming. The vets are very professional and explain medicines and why Missy needs them. We have been using their services for years. They know us well and more importantly they know our dog Missy very well. We have faith in their services and know they put the best interest of Missy’s health and wellbeing
Fantastic experience: Had to call on Monday morning as my 16 month old female Bichon Frise was acting out of character, crying continuously , scratching her bedding and wasn’t eating her food. Phone call was answered promptly and after passing in the information was given an appointment for 12.15 that day. Saw the vet at the appointed time who listened intently to my concerns. After a thorough check, Rosa diagnosed with a phantom pregnancy. The vet was excellent at explaining the condition and how we should look after her during time. The medication prescribed has worked wonders and after 48 hours her symptoms have started to subside and she is getting back to her normal self. Thank you do much for the prompt care and attention given to Rosa and for alleviating our fears.
Fantastic experience: Great experience, super helpful and lovely staff. Very well informed and willing to help. Super happy with our first visit
Fantastic experience: So easy and very patient. Verry clean and great space.wish I found it sooner.great park next to it .
Positive experience: Friendly helpful staff fitted us in on a very busy Sunday. Took great care and prescribed medicine required.
Fantastic experience: Highly Recommend, very professional from booking online and at the appointment, every staff member was great, Pet Health plan really gives peace of mind , and would recommend it to anyone.Jack says thanks too!!
Fantastic experience: A truly compassionate group of professionals who truly love animals, Thank you for the dignity, time shown to me and my boy.
Negative experience: Expensive, inconsistent. First visit was fine, second visit so bad that I now have to find another vet. My cat is now guaranteed to die in the next two weeks as I cannot spend this amount of money on getting no help from vet who wasnt capable of identifying that my very elderly cat did not need advice about long term effects of medication. She is struggling to breathe and this was not believed or treated with any degree of sikll. I am not at all impressed and my cat is suffering as a result. Avoid.
Fantastic experience: Had a lovely experience with the roundhouse vets. Everyone from the receptionists to the vets were so friendly and helpful. The communication was great as well, and I appreciated that they went over the price of everything beforehand. The results to my cats blood test came back on the same day, and the vet called to go over everything in detail. I was originally a bit hesitant to come to this practice based on some of the reviews, but I'm honestly really glad I did- everyone seemed to genuinely care about my cat and her comfort.
Fantastic experience: I have complete faith in the practice to look after the needs of my cat. Every visit has been more than satisfactory. All staff, including those in administration, are always very friendly and welcoming.
Fantastic experience: Kind, caring and considerate veterinary practice that have helped us today and in the past also. Would recommend.
Fantastic experience: A first time visit for vaccinations & health check, with adored rabbits. Short wait, but not too bad, waiting area spacious & air con, with 'the hop' welfare booklet on display, good sign. Lovely receptionist & vet was extremely nice & thorough. Offered to find out about new vax for us, pro & con etc, & phone me when she has info. I was impressed, the main winner for me & my wee guys was the main waiting area, much better than I'd been used to at my previous vets. The price was more competitive too.
Fantastic experience: I can't recommend The roundhouse enough. They were so caring and considerate when we lost our dog last year. Its easy to get appointments and the reception and vets & nurses are thorough, friendly and give various options. The waiting area is a bonus as much larger than average and stops any issues with meeting other cats or dogs.
Fantastic experience: Got appointment the day I called. Clean friendly environment. Emma Lindsay the vet seemed highly experienced and listened to my concerns.
Fantastic experience: Great place had our dog registered here and now our two cats vets are amazing with us and the animals, reception too really helpful. You can not go wrong coming here 100% recommend
Fantastic experience: I found the staff ti more than helpful,as I gt lost and had to call twice for directions to a member of staff come meet me(I was on foot)
Fantastic experience: Bert my Rottie was taken ill very suddenly and when I phoned Dot got me an appointment straight away.He was seen promptly and taken in overnight to be monitored and fluids given.I was kept informed every step of the way.Bert has been with the practice since he was a puppy and he's now 10..I am so thankful to the all the staff for the excellent care and treatment he has always had from everyone.
Fantastic experience: So nice staff from reception area to consultation rooms vets are clear and informative about whats happening to your pet
Fantastic experience: Fantastic care , excellent communication , could not have asked for a better care for our very poorly cat
Fantastic experience: Professional and friendly staff. The practice makes every effort to reduce pet stress.
Fantastic experience: Each time I've contacted the practice and when visiting all members of staff have been so friendly and helpful. The vet Julia was exceptionally good and did not rush the consultation at all, taking extra care to ensure I fully understood the ins and outs of my dogs European passport.
Fantastic experience: Used them for years and always been really happy with the service. Appointments can be a little hard to come by but once you're in you get the feeling they care.
Fantastic experience: Never had a good experience with any vets but going here is a game changer really Friendly staff super respect to me and my cats … only thing I wish they would have is some sort of support of you can’t pay something straight away but I understand why they don’t have that other then that it is perfect clean and I seen no other be so clean and well organised such a stress free place for the pets
Fantastic experience: I always have great service at the Roundhouse Hospital. All of the staff are lovely, from receptionists to nurses and vets. My greyhound thinks he's a star as so much fuss is made of him when he arrives. Quickly seen by vet and diagnosed. Very happy with my visits 99% of the time.
Negative experience: Badly done dental surgery, and poor aftercare. £1600 spent, dog left with inadequate pain relief and an infection. Second opinion was needed. My dog has been a patient at this practice for 4 years, and we've never had any issues until now. In August 2024, my dog went in for a routine dental to have some teeth removed. They only took one out before stopping the surgery because she was bleeding too much. They should have prescribed her blood clotting medication before the surgery (she is a greyhound and excess bleeding is a well-known issue with the breed) but they didn't. So, one tooth out and £600 spent. December 2024, she went in for her Stage 2 dental to get the remaining teeth removed (£810). This time, they gave her the blood clotting medication beforehand and the surgery went well. She had 9 teeth removed in total (more than they had told me she needed) and they sent her home with Metacam, once a day. I trusted that this would be adequate pain relief. Two days later, I woke up to my dog crying in pain, bed and face covered in blood, having burst stitches during the night. They then gave me better pain relief (£35) and then extended it a few days later (£25). Looking at my dog's mouth I could see stitches (different types, too, dissolving and regular) and a large cavity that was irritated and looked infected (pictured). I took her to another vet for a second opinion and was advised that stitches should not have been used at all as they increase risk of infection (duh?) and that she did indeed have a nasty infection in her mouth. She was prescribed antibiotics and further pain relief (£120). So, I am now £1600 down, with a dog who has been in intense and unnecessary pain for the past ten days, and a vet who did nothing but shrug at me when I expressed I wasn't happy with the care provided. I will be submitting a formal complaint and won't be back.
Fantastic experience: This is a really pleasant vets, professional staff and the place is very clean and also bright and open, with separate areas for cats so as not to stress them out being surrounded by dogs. The reception staff are always lovely, as are the vets who treat my two fur babies gently and kindly. The whole experience lowers my cats anxiety as far as it is possible in a vets office. Good vibe.
Fantastic experience: We always have a great experience at the roundhouse and wee Peggy absolutely loved them
Fantastic experience: They are very good with looking after our pet babies. No long wait. Parking available.
Fantastic experience: Great staff and premises! My dog is never nervous going into the surgery!!
Fantastic experience: This vet has been outstanding. With my fur baby Tommy he has ulcers in his eye the vet manos went above and beyond to care for Tommy the care my dog received was outstanding. Manos took the time to explain everything to us. And with Tommy being 11 weeks old we were relaxed and confident with manos and the staff at roundhouse also the receptionists and nurses looked after our boy. After being to other vets in the past I lost trust in vets. Round house has gave me trust and confidence to let them look after and care for my animals I recommend this vet highly
Fantastic experience: Amazing staff at The Roundhouse. So friendly and courteous as ever. I would recommend to anyone.
Positive experience: Made an appointment for my cat and dog as there was an outbreak in fleas (first time ever!). Was told £55 for consultation and whatever treatments used will be added to bill. Vet was friendly and polite, £50 for cat and around £45 for dog for treatment. I was expecting the Bill to be £150 to then be charged £203. I paid bill as wanted to get home but when I returned home called practice to be told each animal is £55 consultation fee! This wasn't what was explained when booking appointment. £110 to speak to vet before treatments is a ridiculous price!. I never got receipt to explain costs either just a receipt for £203 as I paid by card.
Fantastic experience: Great friendly staff very attentive with your pets and great choice of appointments
Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic, my dog was in the best place and they couldn't do enough for her, she was treated like a queen
Fantastic experience: Lovely staff and clean waiting area. Happy we are registered with them.
Negative experience: Always used this vet for my four dogs but unfortunately will have to look elsewhere because of their inflated costs. No problem with the service but the costs have more than doubled in the last year
Fantastic experience: All the staff are so nice and friendly. They really care for the animals. Always get an appointment straight away when needed. They also use the Pets app where you can chat to someone if it's general advice you need. I recommend this vets
Fantastic experience: PetsNVets are the only people I trust with my dogs wellbeing. My dogs are excited to go into the vets office and that’s speak volumes about the staff and how they interact with their patients. Everyone is very friendly and information is always relayed in order for you to make informed decisions. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
Fantastic experience: Our cats have always had very good care here and the service has always been responsive.
Fantastic experience: I've had one dog at this vet since we got her. I had my other younger dog at a quieter vets as she's dog reactive. When I decided to get her dressed though I had to move her to this vet as I know they know what they are doing. You get a real sense of competence from the staff. The staff are always friendly, seem to like their jobs. Are great with my dogs. They are helpful and have a good system for dog reactive dogs. If you ask for water for dogs they will give you it. Everything is done in such a friendly manner. Dogs are greated by name and made to feel comfortable. When I'm in this vet I feel I'm surrounded by animal lovers not just people doing a job. It's a really nice atmosphere and a general sense of people knowing what they are doing.
Fantastic experience: Couldn’t fault the service I received. My dog Molly’s injury and the operation and aftercare she requires were explained in detail and to my understanding. Did not feel rushed and the time was taken to answer all my questions. The staff were very friendly, efficient and polite.
Negative experience: If you can be patient and tolerant with staff when they make payment, medication, and scheduling mistakes and never complain, can afford higher than usual prices, don’t mind inexperienced and nervous staff, inconsistency in internal communication, vague explanations of surgery estimates, knee jerk reactions, heavy handedness, jumping to conclusions and non pet centred decision making, this is the place for you.
Fantastic experience: This was 1st time we used this vet. Staff very helpful and fast and friendly staff
Negative experience: I've never had a vet that has such lack of appointments I'd absolutely not recommend here to anyone, you never see the same vet twice and the appointments you're offered are around a month later
Fantastic experience: There are not sufficient words to express my gratitude to this practice. When I had an emergency with my very young pet, they quickly registered it despite not being registered beforehand and offered an immediate appointment. They consistently provide appointments as soon as possible and are always very kind and caring.
Fantastic experience: I took my dog and cat for their health checks and vaccines. The vet was friendly with my pets explaining each aspect of their health check and vaccines. Thank you especially for asking me questions about my dog and kennel cough. Then explaining that due to my health condition it was not recommended or required. A great practice to use.
Fantastic experience: Always receive a lovely welcome at the Roundhouse Vets hospital . All staff are welcoming and the Vets are approachable and empathetic . Highly recommended ...Happy to leave my dog in their care
Fantastic experience: Can thouroughly recommend. Designated cat friendly waiting area to the side of the main reception. Efficient and friendly vets and place is exceptionally clean.Have been using this practice for years.
Negative experience: £25 for a cannula. Says it all. Spent thousands with this company and I mean nearing 10k. With my first dog, spent over 2k on extensive tests as I was told by my local vet my dog was terminal. Then came back and said she was fine and had to feed her (she was elderly and we tried our best - cooking steaks, chicken to get her eat) and gave me tins of dog food involuntary. When I went to pick up a prescription at my local vet I was told I had an outstanding charge of £25. For two cans of dog food that I didn't even want! You would think considering the thousands of pounds we had spent this would be waivered. Unbelievable. With my other dog, again they had to do extensive tests and produced no results. Told me we had to go to ITALY to get experts advice as they couldn't understand what was wrong with my dog and would cost 5k. Just an absolute lack of compassion and service, looking to make as much money as possible. Please avoid.
Fantastic experience: The best clinic!!!We have 2 cats, and one cat had health problems for a while, and they worked so hard to find what was the reason. They call me,they advice me,they took they time,to listen. And they find it fast.He was sensitive to some foods. And 2 days ago,we took another cat to them,he never had any health problems, but he wasn't feeling well.He stop washing,he wasn't eating. They give us fast same day appointment, they check everything and even they was fully booked, they took him as emergency. They give him pain relief, they give him food. For them, most important prioritie was to our cat is not in pain anymore. They react so fast, they had plan ready in 10min.They explained everything, and give us best advice.Even so,our cat needed to stay over night, they call us same day,at evening, and said to we can take him home. They clean all infected areas, they fix he's teeth, they took blood test, scan, they did everything to help him.And all was done,in the same day.The dental nurse, explained everything, when we took our cat,she even give free next appointment, just to see how,our Charlie is feeling. When we took our cat home,he was so happy, you can see he is not in pain anymore! And he was all checked. He was so well looked after! Our cats are important to us,we love them so much! The care, the love, the service, the team all together, what is in this clinic, the best standard, every appointment, every call!I highly recommend! And we have been going to them for years!!! Thank You for beeing so amazing!
Negative experience: Horrified to see the price gouging over the years. Annual indoor cat vaccinations more than doubled in price over two years. Wish I'd shopped around it while the price has gone up worldwide from what I can see this isn't normal. Will be registering elsewhere next year methinks
Fantastic experience: Exceptional, friendly and competent staff. Receptionists could not be more helpful and respectful. The vets explain clearly the treatment required and treats our very anxious dog gently and with extreme kindness as does the assistants.
Fantastic experience: We recently moved from the natural vet in thornliebank, who we were with for years, to Pets'n'vets at The Roundhouse. Whereas our previous practice seemed to have become more focussed on money than the welfare of our dog. Pets'n'vets seem to have a genuine enthusiasm for the wellbeing of Logan. Keep up the good work.
Fantastic experience: Excellent vet practice, with a dedicated cat waiting area away from the main waiting area. The staff are all very kind and efficient. I've used them for years, I've always had brilliant service from them including prompt regular medication dispensing. My beloved cat passed away last year and the effort, care and communication I received from the Roundhouse staff while she was there was such a help on an awful day.
Negative experience: Have just been in to book first appointment for my new kittens first vaccinations expected to wait about a week to 10 days. First available appointment 17days, even my old vet could beat that 7 days unfortunately tied as I purchased pet health plan for both kittens, not great start, hope urgent vet care better than this. 17 days on par with gp appointment and you don’t pay for that.
Fantastic experience: Been going here for years, last visit I really appreciated the thorough knowledge and balanced opinion I got from the vet. Appointment system is a bit weird having to phone on the day in the morning. Reminds me of awkward GP surgeries.
Fantastic experience: Cant praise highly enough, the care and attention given to my dog. The helpful advice and friendly professional team of vets and receptionists.
Negative experience: I was very disappointed that I was charged a consultation fee for the stray. I was bringing him down to get his microchip checked. I offered to pay for pain relief but was charged £61. I understand its a business but surely you have a duty of care to these pets who are sick with no owners. Also some of the information that we where told about the cat was different on the form we sent to the SSPCA. I am unsure if I will be bringing my own pet to the practice now
Fantastic experience: Wonderful. Kept me updated on my dog. Staff are amazing. Would highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: They are great and caring vets, and they really take the time with our dog which is definitely what he needs as he can get very scared by strangers.
Fantastic experience: I've been using Pets & Vets for over 30years and have nothing but the highest regard for their skills and professionalism.I would recommend them to all animal lovers.
Fantastic experience: Amy has restored my faith in vets, so kind, caring and really took the time to listen to me and was so calming with my rescue pup.
Fantastic experience: Excellent vets - always ensuring good sound treatment for our two dogs. It's especially nice that they have two waiting areas - one for dogs and one for cats. All of the vets and nurses we've met have been very professional, knowledgeable and reassuring. The reception staff are very patient with trying to find appointment times. Evening hours do seem to be a bit of a myth - never able to book an appointment during these times, perhaps they're reserved for emergencies but it would be a very helpful time period for working individuals.
Fantastic experience: The staff are always professional. I've only ever been there when our guinea pigs were really ill and they looked after them well. Great place.
Fantastic experience: Staff are always welcoming and polite. The main reception and the veterinary rooms are always clean and to a high standard. Tea and coffee available
Negative experience: Charging £47 for a consolatation that took 7 mins is unacceptable. Charged £29 for ear cleaner that can be bought for £13 on Amazon is not a mark up its blatantly ripping folk off. Not advising pet owners of cheaper alternatives... . This greed has a knock on effect and may explain why the cat and dog homes are bursting at the seams as folk on the minimum wage are struggling due to the cost of living.. .. Time for vet fees to be regulated... Absolutely no need for them to have doubled the price.. Nobody is worth nearly £50 for 10 mins Nobody!
Fantastic experience: A wonderful first visit for me and my very anxious pooch Milo. We're new to the area and I certainly wasn't looking forward to the experience as Milo was extremely distressed upon any visit to our vets back in my hometown. It was always an extremely traumatic event. Pets n Vets was an absolute breath of fresh air! Milo was a little apprehensive, but upon entering the surgery, he immediately became the centre of attention and was put at ease, as was I. The open plan space was welcoming, clean and very accommodating, and the vet Milo saw was amazing. She was gentle, patient and very kind. All in all, a wonderful experience for both of us! No more hauling him in through the fire exit!! Marvellous
Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff and really happy with the service my cat received she had an operation, and she healed so well and her aftercare was brilliant. I would recommend this vet
Fantastic experience: We had to switch from this place due to moving house. But we regret it a lot. Pets'nVets are way more professional, and the vets here are such intelligent and well equipped. We drive all the way back, and it is totally worths.
Negative experience: Horrific place with young, inexperienced and nervous staff. My boy went in with a routine ear infection. He was choked by a young girl trying to restrain him, with a slip lead and had to be put to sleep. He was a 14 stone gentle giant, handled by someone not used to handling a larger dog. Of course,we were billed to the max. I will never forget the flannelling, excuses and blame dodging. A money making exercise for trainees and amateurs. Do not trust them with your pet.
Fantastic experience: My experience has always great, all the staff are professional and empathetic,Everytime I have seen the vet & nurses they have always listened and explained things clearly whether it be a check up or something more complex . As cat mum(of 4) with a kitty with a food allergy ,I was very impressed at the speed of diagnosis and treatment (3 weeks in total). Highly recommend this vet to anyone
Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic service from the team at pets n vets when performing a tricky surgery on our Bulldog(Boas) Full and open explanation around the surgery which was performed on a fixed price including all aftercare. We were kept informed at all stages of our girls surgery and follow ups exactly when promised with a level of care and compassion from all members of the team But special thanks has to go out to our surgeon Fiona for going above and beyond all stages of our surgery Thank you all of you
Fantastic experience: i took my dog kai to roundhouse on saturday{ emergency appointment} as he was unable to walk and was listless and his rear legs were swelling and he had a very high temp. they kept him in overnight and treated and medicated him, he is now on the mend all thanks to Erin and Lee, first class service pricey but you pay for what you get thank you Gordon and Kai
Positive experience: Really lovely staff who were friendly and helpful! The only slight disappointment was that Google lists the location as wheelchair accessible when it isn’t - there is a step into the building which made getting in difficult with help and would have been impossible alone
Fantastic experience: From consultation to surgery, I was kept well informed and made to feel at ease regarding what my dog required, throughout. Couldn’t have asked for any more from Ross and reception staff. Highly recommend.
Negative experience: If I could give -100000 stars I would. Bunch of incompetent people who need suggestions from the client what examinations should be conducted on the patient rather than figuring things out themselves. After a recent visit my dog died. I don't know if this is a coincidence but having seen him in the state he was I was surprised they did not give him an iv to help him out. I believe this is just a business and nothing more than a business. They seem to be going through the motions and that is it. Conveyor belt approach is what it seems. I don't care what they have to say. Bunch of stupid examinations that do nothing. And the animal? Seeems to just be the means to make more money. Their whole "family" consists of people with questionable IQ. - Me: The pet is very sore in this area - One of their "less than IQ=2": I would still like to examine it by sticking my finger in this area. - Me: No sedation? No general anaestetic? - One of their "less than IQ=2": Nah. - Me: Would you do it to your child? I will simply not allow this - One of their "less than IQ=2": Ok, then we will give the pet general anaestetic. - Me (thinking): What a bunch of disgraceful human beings ofquestionable intelligence? Should they be able to approach any animal? Not sure... Finally they conducted all examinations under sedation, and then also general anaestetic. Then I had to suggest to them: How about we take a stool sample to get it examined? They said: Yeah, I guess we could. The pet died soon afterwards. I would love them to have worn bodycams to see what was actually carried out and how.
Fantastic experience: Friendly and helpful service. Even Hudson wanders straight in!
