Fantastic experience: A very pleasant visit today. Helen the Vet was very Professional, Pleasant and Friendly. And All the Reception Staff were very chatty and made my visit a nice experience. All the Staff in the Practise were very very pleasant.

Negative experience: Got a phone call this morning to say cats vaccination due, l said cost was an issue and would leave it just now, they simply hung up , very proffesional l thought, there are other vets you know, PATHETIC

Negative experience: My dog died at home i was in a state looked procedure up on this vet so compassionate on website,whoever answered phone sharply said we don't collect dogs or cremate them,I asked if they could give me a reputable business,she gave me number and said we use them!!!!, utter nonsense about how compassionate they are on website didn't even ask if my dog was enlisted there,really went downhill in past years,I've had 3 dogs in 45yrs,used this practice in all that time notice a big difference in attitude. At least update your website about how caring you are when a dog dies,people are vulnerable at the time their dog dies.

Positive experience: Great veterinary staff. Parking is better now and the separate area for cats is a good idea, if a bit small. Since they were taken over the prices just keep going up.

Fantastic experience: I've been dealing with Gary at Cathkin over the last few weeks. Gary has been great with my Border Collie Murran, sadly she passed away today. His manner as a vet and a human being was fantastic, he was calm when I felt the pressure of making a very difficult decision and ultimately supported me in it's conclusion. Gary thank you!

Fantastic experience: Warm welcome and excellent, reassuring care for my rescue dogs. We recieve Leish treatment for 1 of mine and his care for this and his subsequent issues has been very good. The communication is timely and appropriate and all insurance issues dealt with promptly. Very happy all round.

Fantastic experience: 10 year old Jack Russell Terrier, had a thorough check up Taylor's Vet EK Practice. Amy and the other Staff made a fuss of her, which she just loves! Fantastic experience: Visited on a Saturday morning with my dog. Felt welcomed from the moment we arrived and checked in. I liked that there is a seating room area designed to cats. Smart idea for keeping some animals separate to reduce distress. All staff members were genuinely sincere and had a warm approach. Garry the vet that saw my dog was understanding, clearly passionate about the care of animals, he explained all possible options of treatment and allowed me opportunity to ask any questions. I felt that my dog had been attended to with love and care and genuine concern. Prior to my appointment I had spoken to Hannah on reception and she was extremely helpful and took the time to gather information in response to my questions. Much appreciated and polite. Fantastic experience: We have a cat (Nero) & have been using this Vet since 2020 Excellent service This week we felt Nero needed to see the Vet. Contacted Vet @ 8am & appointment was arranged for 9am same day

Fantastic experience: My dog felt relaxed and comfortable there even with other dogs in the waiting room so I was grateful for that.

Positive experience: Great vets but very overpriced for prescriptions from them ..,,,got cortavance 0.584 mg spray charged £75 can get it online for £10 still cheaper if you ask for the prescription from them although they charge you £38 for it still works out £27 cheaper it seems they double the price or even more to what you can get online bad news Taylor vets

Fantastic experience: Receptionist, nurses and our clinician Valerie were wonderful, Valerie listened intently to our concerns about Monty, she was so compassionate and made friends with Monty .Gaining his trust before examining him thoroughly. She consulted with her colleague regarding treatments and kept me included and advised throughout. Despite the practice being obviously very busy that day , there was an air of calm throughout. I cannot fail to mention the wonderful assistance given to me by Pamela (the insurance expert) . Invaluable . I left feeling my dog and myself had been in the best hands possible. Thank you to all

Fantastic experience: I contacted this Vet today as my own vet was unable to provide keyhole surgery for spaying my labrador, so they recommended Taylor Veterinary Practice. Sadly i couldn’t get an appointment till October, which was too late, Hannah the receptionist couldn’t have been more helpful & understanding. Great service.

Fantastic experience: The appointment booking process is straightforward, with plenty of reminders leading up to the appointment. The staff on reception are friendly and welcoming. The vet is great with our cats, explains everything clearly and happily answers all questions. All in all a fantastic service. We have been taking our different cats there for the last 22 years would recommend them highly.

Fantastic experience: Took my girl to get boas operation at Taylor vet . I was terrified to let her get the op . The vet was amazing so where the staff. I wish I had got her done yrs ago because the difference in her breathing. She is back to playing like a puppy . Negative experience: When I go to the Vet I’m thinking it is a pet friendly establishment where all the staff love pets and are keen to show they care for animals wellbeing. To provide a good feel pet friendly atmosphere when you walk in. Maybe smile. Then the Vet shows that they also care for our pets and are enthusiastic to help you deal with their health/injuries etc. I don’t believe my expectations are too high. I won’t be back to Taylor’s Cathkin as they don’t even come close.

Fantastic experience: I would like to thank all the staff who I met on Saturday 21/9/2024 when I had to have my cat put to sleep. From the reception staff, nurse ,to the vet who carried out the procedure , all could not have been more empathetic when I became upset. Fantastic experience: Excellent reception with our dog's emergency illness, with kind and professional treatment by the 3 vets we saw over 3 days. Helpful, reassuring vets, who left us feeling confident in leaving our dog in their care. So thankful! He's now almost fully recovered.

Fantastic experience: I know my cats will be looked after and treated with care and love. The vets are terrific. They are competent, professional, and friendly at the same time, and put me at ease. If we are allowed to have a favourite, then without a doubt mine is Catriona McKinnon. She is simply the best.

Negative experience: Our beautiful blue pei'by who's been going to Taylors for years has recently been misdiagnosed by Taylors and also the Vetsnow,their out of hours vets. she had scans and xrays done recently. The cost of xrays is astronomical and they don't even tell the truth on what they xrayed. Our sharpei has arthritis in her right elbow. Had treatment for years. It all of a sudden swelled and the vet we saw and done the xrays, said its swelling caused by the arthritis, this was also the case at Vetsnow. We requested a referral to a specialist. We finally got an appointment with the super vet Fitzpatrick's in Surrey. The elbow in question was actually dislocated. No one at either Taylors or Vetsnow noticed this, now my poor dog has to under go an elbow fusion thanks to the incompetence of our old vets. On top of the incompetence they also charge us for medication for our dog with at least a 100% mark up on the actual price from the online pharmacy. Question everything they tell you and dont get your beloved pets Meds from them. Do your research and buy online. Gov website give you what you need to know. Wish we had known sooner, we would have saved thousands

Fantastic experience: Simply marvellous in every way absolutely delightful staff and surgeon even on telephone the interpersonal skills are superb and I was blown away by the care and professionalism by all the staff Kathryn, Daniel, Blake and Cheryl too. Fantastic experience: The vets and staff here are fantastic, especially with my dog who is a nervous 1 at the best of times, he does not usually like men vets, so they alway try and let him see a lady vet, but has gotten to know 1 vet alright Robert lets him look at him. 3 photos before operation after blue bandage & wound after, before he caught it & opened it with infection. I've actually used Taylor on & off for 20 years. As our cat had her kittens there in 1988 by emergency C/Section. And when Kya our other dog took not well rushed him there they done everything they could for him but unfortunately he passed away.

Negative experience: Edit; 5/4/24 NESTLE BUYOVER After 25+ years of going to this vet, I can honestly say the care and compassion for animals has now gone. Ever since Nestle bought them over, they have become a money hungry bunch of Scammers not in the slightest interested in animals. They must be on a sales based commission. They asked me for another £50 consultation fee when their vet sent us away with medication that didn't work?! AFTER said vet told us to come back if it didn't? THEY Are A SCAM. You've been warned. I’ve been going to Taylor Vet in Cathkin for 20+ yrs and wouldn’t go anywhere else. They treat each animal with care and compassion, and in those difficult times, they do it with an understanding and dignity. I can only thank them for the years past and for the many to come.

Fantastic experience: Really happy, with the information and care from all the vets at Taylor practice, always willing to listen. Reception staff always informative and happy to help and guide you through your visit.

Negative experience: I am afraid I am one of the fewest that is not happy. On several occasions we brought our cats to Cathkin Taylors Vets and were told that there was nothing wrong. The very last experience: our cat was overgrooming herself and hence was loosing her fur. At Taylors we were told that she was stressed out. I knew that was wrong, so took her to another vet, where we were told that our cat had biting lice eggs. After the Taylors we spent more than £100 for nonsense things for calming down a cat. We are currently looking for another vets So if you are not sure, go and double check with another vets

Fantastic experience: Brilliant vets always friendly and helpful, all my animals have been registered here including my lizards. Would highly recommend.

Positive experience: Can't fault any vets I've seen here but was told to bring my dog back after course of treatment, was in with vet for 2 minutes to be told she's fine and charged £47.Should maybe consider lesser charge for follow up appointments.

Negative experience: Very poor service. Only interested in profit. They never stick to appointment times (usually 15 -20 mins late) charge for examination and boster jag, however only carryout the booster. In and out in 5 mins. Due to poor or non existing examination, my wee pal had to get teeth out, after the operation he suffered from damaged throat, which never healed, lost most of his hearing and few days after his operation he suffered a fit and had to be rushed in to the emergency vet at 3am in the morning, None of which would have happened if an examination was carried out and they examined his teeth, as potential issues would have been spotted before his teeth got worse. Would I recommend Taylor Vets. NO WAY.

Fantastic experience: Excellent surgery. Always appointments available online but the staff will work hard to get your hairy baby in sooner when it's needed. Staff are always excellent and super friendly. A wee bit pricey, but all vets are these days and they are definitely worth the money. I wouldn't take my wee one anywhere else!

Negative experience: Unfortunately, in my experience, Taylor Vets put short term financial gain before customer service. Recent experience of them failing to present all options prior to carrying out expensive tests. As a result, we ended up paying over £150 for an unnecessary test when a £12 ointment would have treated the condition. No written estimates provided in advance and a false sense of urgency was created. We have learned a sore lesson! Tried to take this up with the Clinical Director, but she was unwilling to scrutinise the facts with an independent, critical eye or directly answer key questions. Merely defended her position and altered her account to suit her story when pushed. Now taking this further via IVC Evidensia in an effort to stand up against poor practice. Please scrutinise what Taylor Vets are saying BEFORE you commit to paying large sums of money!

Fantastic experience: We had our male cat Alfie down today to be Neutered.The Staff are all so lovely , kind and caring. Alfie was nervous at first but they all put him at ease. I can’t rate the Staff highly enough.Taylor Vets are a first class service ! . It is so good to know they are there when your pets need loving care .Thank you for all you do for our pets .

Negative experience: Please please avoid sheddens branch at all costs ! The premises are dirty and only interested in money! Before my dog was even looked at we were told prices of tests !! Subsequent test left him with a huge haematoma on his neck ! Disgusted that profit is paramount to animal welfare

Fantastic experience: Taylors have been my vets for years. The main clinic/hospital at Cathkin offers a great range of appointment times and I can rely on them in an emergency. When my dog Dana cut all four legs at once I just rushed her there without asking, knowing she would be looked after.

Fantastic experience: Having used Taylor Vetinary Practice for generations of my dogs I would never go anywhere else. Even when feeling unwell, my dogs actually seem to enjoy their visits, wagging tails while being examined! Obvious signs of the caring nature of everyone here, the vets and vetinary nurses all seem to really care about your animal like their own and have their welfare at heart. I’ve consulted many vets & nurses within this practice over the years, and seen them treat everyone visiting this same way. Even when difficult operations required, or however busy the practice, the experience is always the same. Thorough examinations, knowledgable treatment & advice and genuine care for animals. Currently receiving the absolutely fantastic and friendly care from our vet Laura, with expert knowledge on skincare for Harris who has serious Auto Immune problems. He just loves his visits and pulls to get into her room! Honestly cannot praise highly enough!.

Fantastic experience: 1 wk ago and my young, hyper, collie became very ill, very quickly. Staff at Taylors wasted no time in seeing her. She's had consultations, palpation, scans, x-rays, surgery (with a big question over whether she'd survive), then IV and oral meds fired at her. No stone was left unturned and today she is back bouncing and full of life. Everyone at the hospital was kind, sympathetic and very caring. They all went above and beyond to help my wee girl and I'll be forever grateful. I've been a client at Taylors off and on (due to my moving away) for nearly 50years and they were my first choice in this emergency. Safe to say, I'll be a client for many more years to come. Fantastic experience: Taylor Vets paid so much attention to our boy Amadeus since day one. When he was ill, they've done their best to help him recover. Unfortunately, the type of cancer he has was not curable. Nevertheless, they tried with my to beat this as I wished. Now, we have two new kitties and we were happy to return despite the fact that we had heartbroken memories there. It is important to have good vets to look after your pets. To make you feel secure and peaceful and receive their genuine attention and care for your beloved pet.

I wanted to comment on a person that stands out to myself and my family at your practice is Karen at Reception. Karen is so friendly and helpful despite always looking like the busiest woman in the world she always takes the time to show genuine compassion to your situation and tries to help on every occasion. Karen has the patience of a saint and myself, my family (who all have pets) and our pets are all so fond of her. Karen is a complete asset to your team and should be recognized for her efforts. Negative experience: Well I lost my beautiful boy September 2022. His name was Storm and was 12. He had lymphoma and I was given just a week to be with him. The day before he was due to go to sleep he had a seizure. I was told to bring him down. They were ready for him when we arrived. As things got underway I was trying to face him blubbering. All of a sudden door opens and there was a card machine shoved in my face as my boy lay dying. I missed his last breath. Torture myself with did he know I was there. Never will I ever recommend them. Money money money is REALLY what they care for.

We especially want to express our gratitude to our vet, Emma T. She’s truly outstanding and has already done so much for our dog. Angus, our 1yo cocker spaniel has been very poorly of late and Emma was extremely thorough and explained the treatment plan so well. We aren’t out of the woods yet but we are hopefully on the road to finding out what’s causing our little ‘furry child’ so much upset. Thank you so much.

Fantastic experience: My cat came to Taylor Vets with a broken jaw and his whole face was sick from being hit by a car. Now String is healthy. He can eat and breathe on his own, and his bloodied eyes now glow with health. Treatment went as planned, no infection. The most important thing is that the cat was well anesthetized and its pain was minimized as much as possible. My cat is not reluctant to cooperate with any other person who is not me. So doubly thank you for saving the life of the entire staff and especially Dr. Surgeon and Valerie

Fantastic experience: Moved to this Vet when I moved into the area. The service is superb, they pretty much run on time (NOT my previous experience). Whether it’s a routine check up visit or, as experienced recently, fairly major surgery and a VERY worried dog dad they always treat my pet with care and I am very confident in their care of her. Absolutely recommend

Fantastic experience: Great. Experienced with animals and knowledgeable about cats in particular, very helpful as my cat likes getting into mischief. The only issue is the car park which is difficult to get out of and nigh on impossible to do when it is icy due to the steep exit hill. I have expressly told my cat to not require vet treatment during snow, but, being a cat, she will almost certainly be saving herself for the next Beast from the East. Other cat owners may understand. They were also great with my sister's husky, and looked after him in his final years with dignity and love through a tricky health condition. They can usually accommodate same day appointments and even have little dog treats at reception.

Fantastic experience: Taylor Vets have cared for our pets (cats and dogs) with a combination of warmth and professional expertise for 15 years, from when our beloved animals first become part of our family to when we've had to say goodbye.

Negative experience: Not caring just for the animals : WOULD not prescribe my dog a worming tablet , they wanted to give him a wellbeing consolation which costs £44 to tell me that my dogs health is ok which I already know and stated this , if I had concerns about my dog I’d have been phoning for this , it’s just to draw more money out of you . All he needed was a worming tablet & to get his weight taken not a well-being check . Very disappointed with this service. So instead of a visit for a worming a flee tablet costing £20 it would of been £64 expensive worming tablet . As I know my dog is in good health !!!!

Fantastic experience: Wouldn’t take my cat to any other vet. Never had a bad experience at Taylor’s . You can sometimes wait a wee bit but that doesn’t bother me as I know they’re giving great attention to the animals

Fantastic experience: Fantastic staff. Everyone ensures the owners are reassured as well as the animals. Still limited numbers allowed in the reception area but a very efficient system in place if you have to wait in your car. Highly recommend.

Every time we have gone to the vets they are so kind and gentle with our pup, Lexi. No question is left unanswered and no question is a silly one. Fantastic experience: Taylor Vets are great! They're the vets I'd always choose to cats for my pets. The vets always put my mind at ease when I need to visit, and they always take great care of my pet

Fantastic experience: Evie loves visiting the EK branch, she is always treated as if she was one of their own pets

Negative experience: I took my sons hamster here to be put to sleep as he had a large tumour. Was left waiting a while as they took him away then told it was £105 to cremate him aswell so I decided to take him home and bury him, they had already got rid of his wee house I brought him in and wrapped him in a towel. Left waiting too long in reception upset. Would never use or recommend this vet to anyone, very unfeeling, conveyor belt, money grabbing from peoples misery. Staff were friendly but the experience was awful. Never again.

Fantastic experience: I cannot rate this Vet highly enough we have used them for over 25 years. They have consistently provided the utmost care for all our pets furred, feathered, small and cheeky from the day we rescued them until it's time to say goodbye as they go peacefully over the rainbow bridge. They take care of their humans too giving excellent advice support and help with the grieving process when that time comes. Meantime they enjoy and love your 'family members' just as much as you do. Thanks for all your compassion and dedication.

Fantastic experience: We've been using Taylor's since I was about 6/7 aaand I'm 36, so yeah, a while, and I wouldn't go anywhere else. The facilities and expertise are second to none, and everything is on hand. If they don't have a specialist in that field at the practice, like a cardiologist or behaviourist, they are able to have one come in. We have (or have had) chihuahuas, a pomeranian, snakes, ferrets, rats, degus, rabbits, hamsters and fish and there has always been a vet at TVP who has specialised or had an interest in each one. Thank you so much guys!

Fantastic experience: This practice is fantastic, lovely staff and vets. I fully trust my animals are well looked after and loved here.

Negative experience: I will never be back to this practice..Been with Taylors for 4yrs,spent a lot of money I can tell you over the yrs. But the last straw was been given a diff dogs medication for mine, pumping my dog with meds that could have killed her..she's still not out the woods..6 visits in 1 wk nearly 400 quid to be told on last visit.yeah it has been the meds she has been taking that has cause her bleeding ,vomiting shaking..pure neglect..greedy for money !!
