Fantastic experience: My dog had an eye injury, arrived and seen within 20 minutes. Reception amazing and very kind and understanding, supportive. My mum was anxious and the team were accommodating to her needs whilst caring for our dog. A nurse within 20 minutes assessed our dogs eye, and following that she was taken into the back to be treated. We then were called in and told our dog had an ulcer on her eye and she was cuddling with the nurses in the back, the vet was so kind and gave us all the information we needed to know for her recovery. We cannot remember the names of everyone but on that day the people who looked after our dog was on the 21st February. Sally I believe was the name of the vet who helped us and she was amazing so kind and caring. Thank you so much

Fantastic experience: I experienced the worst few days last week where I thought I would lose my special bun Carrot. He had a serious liver lobe torsion so the outcome did not seem to be good. Petmedics gave him round the clock care and got him through the critical time, so much so when I took him home he had bounds of energy! I am eternally grateful, they saved him and have given me real hope for his future. You can call them at any time for an update and the vet calls daily. The staff are lovely and really pull together to save each life.

Fantastic experience: Recently brought my dog in for an emergency as she was suddenly unwell where she had to stay overnight. Thank you to everyone who took fantastic care of my Nala. We were then referred to ChesterGate for an MRI scan where we now have a diagnosis. Also a massive appreciation to Sam who looked after Nala and was liaising back and fourth with me. Thank you once again

Fantastic experience: Recently had to bring in my cockatiel for emergency treatment. Have to say they were absolutely fantastic, really caring, clear around setting expectations and helped our little birdie with her sore leg. Couldn't have asked for more and now we have a very happy, mobile birdie again. Thank you so much. Picture of happy, snoozing chicken included as tax.

Fantastic experience: Thank you so much for looking after Jesse. Even though it wasn’t the outcome we wanted, we know he was cared for. Grateful thanks to the lovely Spanish vet Laura… her compassion was second to none…. She kept me updated and informed me when his time was nearing so we could get down. Also grateful thanks to all the lovely dedicated night staff Including the lovely lady who was mopping the floor that evening and who looked after my elderly mum. Thank you all.

Negative experience: I’d like to share my experience with this vet. We took a cat in as it was in distress wearing a collar and was filthy. We took it in to find out if it had a chip so the owners could be notified and the vet said it did have a chip but they wouldn’t call the owners and refused to tell us where the cat lived. They then told us to take the cat back where it was found which was in Clifton, however we over heard them accidentally mention the street where it was from. We then drove to the street and began knocking on doors to try and find the owners. Luckily we managed to find the owners that lived nearly 4 miles away from where it was found, who then said their 9 year old cat had been missing for 9 weeks. They were very grateful and had been worried sick. The vet was absolutely no help even though they could have helped quite easily but refused. What’s the point in people having there pets microchipped if vets are not willing to help return an animal back to its owner?? If we had done what the vet had said to do then the cat would have been miles away from home and still lost and more than likely of come to harm. Seems like vets don’t want to know when there’s no money involved! Disgusting. If anyone finds they need a good vet then I would find one that actually cares about the animal and not the money.

Negative experience: Took my cat Milo to this place 23rd December 2024 !! My god I wish I didn't !! After our brief chat showing our concern, ( not eating very well ) they took him to be examined .. Only to bring him back with an Intravenouse on a shaved area on Milos leg .. We were waiting for information from the so called VET .!! ( perthetic perfomer ) Instead of explaining to us, he stated to ask me questions ! WHY ?? He made up an assumption bassed on what information he got out of us instead of giving me any facts ... He said Milo is suffering and will not last a day its best to put him down .... Milo in front of us laying on his blanket on the table meowing asking me to take him home .. I should have took Milo home give him every chance let him see snow ( he never seen before from the window ) his favorite place ... I am sure Milo probably have recoverd, pulled though, or be in his home and die naturally if that was so ..!? I will never trust any Vet .!! Wildlife outside your window live pefectly well without them... All out for money no Morals, dont trust any Vetenary practices .....

Negative experience: I am absolutely shocked. I went in with one my cats that has sadly been put to sleep a few months ago, I went in with her as an emergency as she was having trouble breathing and I was told the only option was to put her down however, what made this experience worse than what it already is, is that I was told that they have to do it within an hour because my cat was taking up space in their emergency area. I’ve let that slide because I thought maybe I’m just overreacting and being over sensitive because of the news I just received. On the day, I paid them an admin fee together with my insurance excess fee because they said they will claim direct from my insurance, just to receive an email today for them to tell me that, in fact, they used the insurance excess fee I paid them, towards part of the treatment cost and that now I have to call my insurance myself, pay the excess again, and sort out the claim. Not to mention I have signed a document on the day that clearly states that I paid 2 fees: admin fee so they can deal with my insurance and claim, and my insurance excess fee so they can use towards my policy excess so they can then receive the funds for the treatment they carried. To hear that they have used the funds in a completely different way and without my consent is absolutely shocking, appalling and grounds for legal action. If my insurance requires me to start the claim, then I am happy to do so if PetMedics refund me both my policy excess fee and the admin fee, asking me to raise the claim myself after they have used my excess fee for completely different reasons and then refusing to refund my excess fee because of the money being used differently is beyond shocking.

Fantastic experience: Bought our beautiful Dalmatian in as an emergency on Tuesday 6 Jan. We cannot begin to thank you enough for the love care and treatment that our pixie had in her last hour of her life. The vet and all the staff were kind and considerate and explaned the situation. They allowed us time before and after to sit with her and there was no rushing us. They also sent a sweet card and paw prints to us in the post. Many thanks again to you all

Amy Carpenter Posted on Google 3 months ago

Fantastic experience: We came in with our beautiful dog on Tuesday. Sadly she had to be put to sleep, however the ladies could not have been more lovely, helpful and reassuring. From helping us get Pixie in to the vets, to seeing her promptly, giving her and ourselves comfort. Thank you. We are truly devastated but when we remember her last moments it was so peaceful. The vet had given us time with pixie before and after, which had given a lot of comfort. And today we received our card! Thank you so much

Negative experience: I took my dog bear There I was sent there by Timperley veterinary Centre 120 Wood Lane W.A.157pj I tried to get an emergency appointment with my Vets, but even after the triage was declined. I took him to the vet the next day who rushed me to this place wow what a shock. The staff were rude. Didn’t tell me anything more interested in me signing some piece of paper paying the £500 which I did. I gave my poor Bear a kiss and as they were taking him I asked what the chances of him living were 20% they said bear in mind he was gonna be in there for four days with the 500 spent at the Vets it would’ve been £6.500 they didn’t even tell me what he was suffering from later found out it was called leptospirosis later found out 86/ per survivel rate l made the decision to put my darling Bear to sleep I thought you only had 20% chance not an 87% chance my decision would’ve been different. I feel sorry for anyone that has to take a pet to this place. It’s all about money money money that’s it.

Negative experience: I had my cat pts late at night 2 weeks ago and distraught I asked for paw prints to be done before he was cremated. I was assured prints would be taken. It’s been 2 weeks and I haven’t received them only to be told it’s not something they offer as standard practice (dependant on how busy they are) I think it’s extremely insensitive to not take a few seconds of time to make these prints, when it’s all we have left of our beloved pet. They should make you aware you may not receive any as I have been waiting for them for over 2 weeks now only to be told they may never arrive as no one can confirm or not whether they were done or not.

Fantastic experience: Sadly, last night I lost the love of my life, my beautiful cat Beans. I just wanted to express to you all how grateful I am, especially to Sim, the most incredible vet and wonderful person. You all made the most difficult time of my life a little easier. Your care and genuine sympathy is something that you have in heaps. I would call but I just can't talk about it at the moment but I have emailed separately. Thank you everyone there ❤️ Daz

Fantastic experience: My cat Lizzie was very poorly indeed, after over night stay and the wonderful staff at home not recovering. She isn’t out of the woods yet but feel assured she getting the best care possible

Shauna Ainsworth Posted on Google 6 months ago

Negative experience: Quoted approx £150 for a routine spay. During the pre-surgical check we were informed our cat had gingivitis and needed extractions that were several hundred pounds. When we arrived for the spay, they quoted us a completely different price, double the price of the original quote! They forgot to inform us to starve her from 10pm the night before (probably from trying to extract every bit of money). On arrival, they were still prepared to do the spay even with risk of regurgitation. Needless to say we took our cat home and registered with another vet, where she has just received a spay for £150 AND a dental check where they confirmed there was no gingivitis, treating them at present would be cruel and unnecessary treatment. This is truly abhorrent to know they’re willing to put animals through unnecessary painful procedures to maximise revenues.

Fantastic experience: Thank you to the lovely Paulina who treated one of my bunnies in an OOH clinic on Saturday. My Frankie was in gut stasis and needed pain relief and gut stimulant meds. I was incredibly anxious visiting a non exotics vet - however, Paulina was very knowledgeable about rabbits and treated us with absolute kindness and understanding. I continued nursing Frankie at home myself, with assisted feeds and meds - 36 hours later and he has begun to nibble again! Paulina understood how delicate bunnies are and agreed that if we were able then home nursing was better than admitting all three of our buns. Thank you again Paulina. I highly recommend this vet for bunny care.

Fantastic experience: Our dog Brigette recently went to pet medics for an overnight observation after being unwell after an operation at a different vets, I can honestly say from speaking to them on the phone and then in person what a professional polite bunch!! They really do reassure you that the will do everything they can to look after your pet, it was such a traumatic experience to have Brigette unwell but pet medics did such a great job of looking after her, they kept uninformed the whole journey and they were very professional! If your animal is unwell and needs help I can absolutely tell you they will do everything they can to help, thank you to all the staff and thanks for being so informative

Emma Posted on Google 7 months ago

Negative experience: While the staff at Pet Medics were polite and very caring towards my cat, Freddie, I am deeply disappointed with the diagnostic outcome. My cat was brought in for urinary issues, and the vets suggested a urinary stone after ultrasound and cathertiriation but after a 2nd opinion, it wasn’t actually present. This led to unnecessary stress and a £1,000+ operation that wasn’t needed. The second opinion at Barnsley animal trust confirmed there was no stone via x-ray and ultrasound + 4 different opinions from there team all confirming none present. This experience has been very frustrating as this whole process could have been managed if the vets had given us the right tools to help with his urinary issues I.e. supplements related to reducing stress etc. I hope they review their diagnostic procedures to prevent this kind of issue in the future.

Fantastic experience: Unfortunately I had to make the decision to put my little Ronald to sleep, the vet was really comforting and reassuring, made sure I didn’t feel like I was making the wrong decision which was really nice to hear. Reception staff were lovely also. I received a card in the post today with a lovely message and his little paw prints which was really unexpected but amazing, we are really grateful. Thank you!

Negative experience: AVOID THIS VETS! Refused my dog her ongoing prescription that keeps her alive! Refused to tell us on the phone on a recorded call the name of her medication! My dog will literally die without it!

Ciara Farrell Posted on Google 8 months ago

Negative experience: Dog refused medication that keeps her alive! My dog is on heart medication. She can’t last 24 hours without it, she goes right down hill. She’s been on it over 8 months. I’m away and someone is looking after her, I’ve emailed and asked for a repeat prescription and they’ve told me she needs to be seen. I’ve requested they give me her needed medication urgently as they have been doing. They’ve refused. Called today and spoke to a rude and condescending woman called Denise, she kept talking over me and wouldn’t let me get a sentence out. She refused to even tell me the name of my dogs medication. Why!? She’s going to die without it and you’re making this difficult! She hung up on me in the end! She tried to say my dog will ‘last’ until Tuesday. NO SHE WONT! Disgraceful vets. If no one calls me tonight as promised and she dies, you’re getting sued. That’s a promise from me!

Fantastic experience: Honestly the best care!! Had an emergency for my bearded dragon whose been having trouble breathing and no exotic out of hours were open. And even though they dont specialise in exotic animals, they kept her safe with oxygen until she turned stable and so I can take her to the exotic vets tomorrow. Thankyou thankyou thankyou to everyone that helped my bearded dragon, I've been going through such a bad time and these vets are the absolute best and really love the animals!! I really believe they've saved her life!!

Positive experience: Thank you so much for helping our fluffy bunny out, over the weekend we thought this could be the end. So worried didn’t catch the chaps name, but she seems almost back to her usual mischief self again thank you so much ☺️

Emily Martin Posted on Google 9 months ago

Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant with our one year old cocker, Freddie, who needed an emergency vet recently when he started vomiting and having bloody diarrhoea on a Sunday. Very reassuring, rang us at least twice a day with updates, and even sent us photos so we could see him in 'hospital'. (We could have visited but thought it would confuse/upset Fred, and he was set to be discharged the day after anyway.) John in particular was brilliant. He was our first point of contact, and talked us through possible causes and treatment options. He was off on the Monday, but was the vet treating our dog again on Tuesday and Wednesday, which we appreciated. It was good to have the consistency so he could see whether our dog was improving or not. Fred hates our usual vets, and won't let them anywhere near him, but went back here for a check-up today. When he saw John, his tail started wagging and he was quite happy to let the vets here examine him and do a blood test. I think that speaks volumes. They were always up-front about cost, even with an initial estimate, but gave us a running total each day and a full breakdown on discharge. They're also dealing with the insurance company for us. Can't fault them, they've been absolutely superb. We're tempted to change vets as a result!

Negative experience: Only have 1 star because I had to! This is not even worth 0 stars. First time I visited few years ago I didn’t have a good experience and now again I’m having a bad experience so I says everything really. I seen a post online stating a cat had been found and brought into the clinic fitting my lost cat’s description and found deceased on a street my cat always plays on (next to my house) on the day he went missing. I rang to go view and identify this cat so I could bring him home if it was him. I was told the cat had already been identified and claimed. I left it at this and continued to post and search for my boy. Until I was getting messages from the person who found this cat saying it was definitely my cat he found and took to the vets after seeing our pictures online. I then rang the vets back to explain this situation and was then told no ginger cat was brought into the clinic that day. Very confusing as I spoke to someone the day before regarding it!! I was then asked to send pictures, which I did but nobody took my concern seriously and I was fobbed me off each time with just the statement ‘cat has already been claimed’. I then asked if we could have pictures so we so identify and put our minds at rest. I was then told no pictures could be sent as the body had already been cremated. I then got in contact with the lady who claimed and identified this cat as hers. We compared pictures and she was unsure and gave us permission to go view the cat as he’s only being created Monday (4 days away). Confused as I was already told he had been cremated I rang the vets and asked if I could view the body to be told again he has been cremated already. I then relayed the information to the lady who claimed him and she was upset because she did not make any cremation decisions yet (individual or communal) !! She then rang the vets herself and they told her the cat had NOT been cremated so then I rang again to say if he’s not been cremated then can we come see him to be told AGAIN for the 3rd time that he’s definitely been cremated and they checked his file and denied ever speaking to someone else telling them he’s not cremated. The lady who claimed the cat then rang to find out what was going on and told the vets to let us see the cat, they then apologised to her and said it was a mistake and they confirmed the cat has NOT been cremated and that we can’t see the cat because they are emergency vets and case is closed. I then found out the lady who claimed the cat lives a good distance away from where the cat was found and her cat had a collar on (cat found had no collar) and went missing a while ago. Our cat went missing the day that cat was found, had no collar on(like the cat found) and lives next to the street he was found. The man who found him took a picture of the tail and back legs of the cat when he found him and it is identical to our cat when comparing pictures. I sent face pictures of our cat and the other ladies cat to the man who found him and both him and his wife 100% confirmed it was our cat and no doubt about it. The man who found him was shocked that the vets identified the cat as the other person’s and contacted them to tell them a mistake had been made but again the vets didn’t care. They wouldn’t send us pictures, wouldn’t let us view him and kept lying to us. They had no compassion or care. If the lying couldn’t get any worse they also told us the cat had already been collected but when speaking to the other lady she confirmed she was on holiday and did not collect the cat yet and that he would be at the vets at least another few days. AVOID unless you want to be fed lies and manipulation regarding your babies.

Fantastic experience: My cat visited PetMedics in in January 2023 as she appeared to have a urinary blockage and was unable to use the litter tray. She had been having on/off bladder problems for a few months so I was extremely worried but the staff at PedMedics were amazing. They saw her right away and gave her some pain relief and admitted her for an overnight stay. I got regular updates with all the information I needed, including a diagnosis. The vet recommended a special diet to prevent urinary crystals from returning and this has worked perfectly, she has had no bladder problems at all since starting this diet. I'm so grateful to the staff for their reassurance and accurate diagnosis :) thank you!

Negative experience: On the 24th June this year my beautiful girl missy Was sadly, put to sleep at this vet it was her 10th birthday … the vet that seen to missy was great! the Early morning Staff was great! too more then great! (now I get it it’s not her job to get hair ) but! what hurt the most is this I then asked her has anyone! Had a little check on missy ( me noing My girl has never! been left For this long period by herself ) .. This was her Reply!! Well, why would we check on her she is deceased!! she is in the room with the rest! of them! If you want her hair you have to take it up with the crematorium people I have to go now bye!!! …. This phone call hurt Me so much More than she will ever no …. But What hurt me the most! Negative experience: If i could give this vets a 0* rating i would, a couple of months back we brought our new puppy dexter to this vets after we were recommended to seek medical attention now. So we did just that, we had only had dexter for three days he was 10 weeks old, and he was acting very strange, blood in his stool, not very playful and extremely lethargic. Upon me, my partner and my friend bringing him to the vets we were all extremely worried and very upset. They took Dexter away from us and took him to a seperate room whilst they ‘examined’ him, we then got pulled into a seperate room where we were rudely spoken to as if we’d brought him there for no reason, we were told ‘he’s up fine and running around’ (he had been lay down in the same position all day got up once to have a runny toilet break.) We explained why we’d brought him in and explained how he was not acting how a puppy should to which again we were spoken down to and got told he’s fine and it was a waste of time coming in. We were then brought dexter back who was lay in the exact same position he was when we’d brought him in in the crate. The next morning to be sure we took him to our local vets (Trafford Vets, an amazing group of people) where unfortunately we were told dexter’s body is so cold it’s like his organs were shutting down on him, and that there was something wrong with his bowel, we were told this within minutes of being in the vet after we spent less than 30 minutes in Pet Medics to be told there was nothing wrong with him. Later that day Dexter had to be euthanised at 10 weeks old as his body would not withstand surgery. Our first ever fur baby was not given the correct medical attention upon visiting this place. Maybe if he was he would still be here today. Appalled by the way the Vet spoke to us and appalled she gave us information which CLEARLY was not factual. Maybe it was because we went through the PDSA as times are hard and we were being looked down on, but it’s beside the point, EVERY animal should have a right to be properly checked and saved in every way possible. Maybe it was just this one vet however our experience was that poor that I would not recommend this vet even if they were the only ones open and I shall never attend this Emergency Vet’s ever again. I hope no one ever has to go through this, and may our boy Dexter be running in a big field up there finally out of his pain. We now have his sister so we can always carry a part of him with us in our hearts. And please do not give us the same automated response you give to everybody. We do not want it. We’ve had an email off you explaining everything that happened, but it was all WRONG. You just took the word of everything that vet said to you. We do not wish to hear from you and we definitely do not want to be told what we said and that it’s a lie. There’s three witnesses to this conversation and one vet, Let’s not believe everything they say to be true.

Negative experience: Took my dog here to be treated for a cancerous mass, Andrew the surgeon and the team were great but unfortunately an incompetent vet John Chudley made a mistake on his notes which led to insurance not paying out despite having photos to prove it was an error. He couldn't be bothered to email anyone back in time or at all which led to my dog being put to sleep. Again, Andrew was great who did the first surgery as we're the rest of the team but if you get a fat, tired, unwashed looking vet called John Chudley then run.

Fantastic experience: It’s unfortunately been my 3rd visit out of hours to pet medics with emergencies with my cats. This time we saw Vet Roxana - she was gentle and patient assessing my cat who was very frightened and in pain. The plan made and communication was very clear and all the team were super professional and calm, despite it being a very busy night. The triage nurse was very kind too. Thanks so much for the excellent care.

Fantastic experience: Could not recommend PetMedics enough! They are wonderful! I had to take my 11 year old pug Bella in for an emergency appointment and turned out she needed emergency surgery and an overnight stay, the team were amazing from start to finish! They kept us informed every step of the way and did a fantastic job of looking after Bella whilst she was in their care. A special mention to James, the vet who operated on Bella and has been dealing with her aftercare. Thank you so much to whole team for saving her life, Bella is very grateful as well! ❤️

Fantastic experience: Our beautiful bernese mountain dog became very unwell in the early hours of last Saturday morning, we brought him to these great people who showed us alot of empathy and compassion when it was soon realised that we would have to have malcom put to sleep, we're absolutely heartbroken but they made his last few moments pain free and allowed us to be with him when he passed away. We can't thank them enough for making the most painful situation a little better for malcom and for us, we're truly grateful They also sent us a card a few days later, with clippings of malcoms fur, and a paw and nose print, this means the absolute world to us and we'll treasure it forever, once again thank you for your kindness, and an extra special thank you to the vet and staff who were on duty in the early hours of Saturday 8th june. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ So,going forward 12 months and our lovely pugalier Jessica became very, very unwell in the early hours of bank holiday Monday ( May 2025) and once again we found ourselves back here thank god for the medical team here that night again, Jessica was very, very sick and they were nothing short of amazing again thank you, thank you, thank you Jessica has made a full recovery ❤️❤️

Negative experience: They behave like classic conmen. We had to pay for a C-section because our dog was having birthing issues. A quick Google search and speaking to other vets suggested a C-section should cost around £600–£800. PetMedics told me during the consultation call it would be £1,000, including the consultation. That sounded a bit expensive, but since it was at night, we decided to take the dog in. We drove all the way to Worsley in the middle of the night. They took the dog from us and left us waiting in the car park. Eventually, they came back and told us, “We have to do this now; the puppies are getting weaker,” and suddenly the price had doubled to £2,000. I asked why. They said their vets set their own prices and they can change at any time. The vet saw my wife crying and knew she'd get the £2,000 out of us. She took a £500 deposit and went back to print the invoice — and somehow, the price had increased again to £2,500. At that point, I got angry and questioned the constantly shifting pricing. But the vet knew it was COVID, it was nighttime, and my wife was desperate. It was the perfect time to milk us for as much as possible. As a husband, I couldn’t say no — and they knew it. When someone takes advantage of another person’s vulnerability, that’s conman behaviour. If your organisation claims not to be conmen, then the price quoted should at least be close to what’s actually charged. I’m giving them 2 stars only because the C-section was done well and the dog is fine. But the exhaustion, emotional manipulation, and lies about pricing heavily affected their score. Luckily, after a stern conversation, the price was dropped back to £2,000 by morning. We later spoke to our regular vet, who looked at the invoice and agreed — a basic C-section and a few paracetamols should not cost anywhere near this much. It’s clear they were taking advantage of COVID, emotional stress, and desperation. Avoid dealing with this firm if not insured. I now have a deep distrust of vets. If you’re a cash payer — avoid at all costs.

Fantastic experience: Words can't express how grateful we are for the wonderful staff here. Made a stressful emergency visit so much easier with how kind and calm they were. Would not hesitate to recommend and feel very lucky we know about this place now.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely lovely people here. Our cat had an infection, and we had to bring her here out of hours. They kept us (humans & feline) calm and informed throughout, and were very empathetic of our situation. Definitely our cat hospital of choice from now on!!

Fantastic experience: We rushed here after 3 horses trampled over our Vizsla on a walk. They saw us immediately, were calming and took Duke to check his injuries. They luckily were superficial, who knows how, and the team were so caring. They didn't charge us anything. We couldn't believe it! Fantastic and after a stressful experience, made us feel so looked after. Thank you

Fantastic experience: Took my dog Rolo to the emergency vet when his pain in his back became unbearable for him. I went on an exceptionally busy night and we did have to wait a small amount of time however all the staff were amazing. The Nurses , the receptionists and the vets we're so caring and the vets spent nearly 20 minutes examining Rolo and gave some fantastic advice and followed up this morning with a call and further advice after talking to his colleagues. I cannot recommend these enough very very impressed and would definitely take either of my cockapoos to this emergency Vet again if the need required.

Fantastic experience: My darling Flo was under the care of pet medics Worsley on/off from May 2012, more recently Sept 24until yesterday when she died. The whole team from reception, nursing teams to vets are simply fantastic, don't normally isolate a single person but Mariana one of Flo's vets is an amazing human being with the kindest of hearts. She even came to the house at a time to suit to put her to sleep. Flo loved all the team at the vets and always got giddy to see them when she was hospitalised, she even got a bravery award. Thank you

Fantastic experience: my cat passed away and was brought to pet medics by a member of the public, when i arrived to see if it was my cat all the staff were lovely, kind, and considerate. they took the time to make sure it was my cat, and talked me through different options i had with what i wanted to do next with him, at no point did i feel unsure about what i had to do, and every member of staff was really kind to him and looked after him as if he was one of their own cats. they gave me as much time as i needed with him in their farewell room and didn’t pressure me to leave and let me have as much time as possible. A few days later they sent me a condolence card with my cats paw prints inside which i appreciate so much. also saw members of staff interacting with other customers and answering any questions they had regarding their own pets, the place had a nice atmosphere and didn’t feel like some other vets do. thank you again to all the staff at pet medics.

Fantastic experience: My spaniel had to be admitted for a couple of days as he had just been diagnosed with diabetes and was very poorly. All the staff were very professional and I was kept upto date with the situation very well. At discharge, the nurse spent time talking us through everything and teaching us how to administer injections. I cannot thank all the staff enough for the care they gave to Woody. He is now in a much better place than when he was admitted. Here he is with his sister keeping an eye on his progress

Fantastic experience: Our gorgeous girl Pacha was horrendously attacked by another dog last Sunday and was at pet medics for 4 nights - which included a operation and 24 hour care , I cannot thank pet medics enough and I am so happy we went here as I had constant reassurance, the clinic was very clean, the staff loved her and everyone was so informative to all the questions I had. Special thankyou to Ruth & Ben the brilliant vets, Chloe on reception who I spoke to most of the time and always reassured me & Andrew most of all who made me feel so at ease and performed her surgery! Fantastic experience: My sausage dog has been here twice, once with a sprained paw & sadly being run over on Christmas Day night. When we arrived on Christmas Day night, we ran in with our dog & the vet seen him straight away. Couldn’t of asked for a nicer vet & the reception staff. The reception staff were amazing and made us feel so much better. One reception lady even got the first aid kit to help my brother with his cut hands after the accident. Thanks to Pet Medics my dog was fine and sent him home with medication which he is now better. Thank you for amazing service from the vet & lovely reception lady’s on Christmas Day Night it was the last thing we expected but they made us feel so much better. ✨

Negative experience: I wrote a glowing review for these 5 years ago. But since then it has just become a money grabbing scheme. Absolutely no compassion for pet owners. Caring for animals is definitely not a priority for this practice. I couldn’t be happier that I made the decision to no longer use them and go to a vet that genuinely cares.

Fantastic experience: **Thank You to the Veterinary Team** One month ago, at 4:00 AM, my beloved cat Udon suddenly became paralyzed in his legs and was breathing rapidly. We immediately went to Pet Medics, where the veterinary team quickly examined my cat and discovered that he had congenital hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the veterinary team: Ben, Sophie, Roger, Ursula, Patrick, and all the medical staff. We especially want to thank Nicole. We are a family from Hong Kong, and due to language barriers, the hospital arranged for Nicole to assist us with the consultation. Although our Udon ultimately passed away, we are deeply grateful to all the medical personnel who helped us during this difficult time.

Fantastic experience: I have to say, from start to finish, The Team @ PetMedics, were absolutely fantastic. I had to have my poorly cat Ruby put to sleep. From making that phone call they were really compassionate, professional and very supportive. The morning I arrived at the veterinary, they had sorted out a quite comfortable room for me and Ruby. The room was comfortable with a seating area. The vet came in to see me almost immediately. Asked me questions about my cat. She explained to me, how I would like the situation go. Very caring, she could see how upset I was and couldn’t hardly speak. At the end of a horrible week. PetMedics sent me and our family a card in the post with my beloved friends paw print- I was totally over the moon, and still am. Thank you so very much for looking after us ALL HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Fantastic experience: We came on the 16/10/2024 with midnight unfortunately she had passed before we got there, the staff were so lovely and compassionate, let us say our goodbyes for as long as we wanted, discussed next steps, I can’t thank them enough they made sure that her red blanket and kicker toy went with her to the crematorium and they even took a picture of her paw for us as she never let us touch them. Amazing staff, thank you so much for making our time easier xxx

Our dog was very well cared for and his surgery has helped him to be out of pain and discomfort Mr Baxter is very experienced with dental surgery in dogs, we are very grateful for his expertise. Vet nurse Vicky looked after our dog and was very helpful to us, she explained the post op care thoroughly, and showed kindness and understanding, thank you so much

Fantastic experience: We took our terrier to PetMedics today due to her catching a stick wrong and it hurting her throat. Adam was FANTASTIC with her (and us). He was obviously very knowledgeable, he gave her a very attentive look over and suggested giving her a painkiller injection, along with some tablets over the next few days. We left the surgery in a peaceful state of mind knowing that our terrier would be okay and was as comfortable as possible. For the time of day on a Sunday, the bill was reasonable - you cannot put a price on your dog’s health and wellbeing. Thanks Adam and PetMedics.

Fantastic experience: I had to go to this place with my 12 years old boy as I thought he had a intestinal constipation. His stomach was bad, big and hard for 3 days but the doctor said he has a wind problems. They helped him to get it out of him and I got some painkillers. As an emergency veterinary it wasn't too expensive and it was really helpful and it's worth. I'd definitely recommend this place to go if anyone will have a problem with pets*****

Fantastic experience: We came last night to this clinic, our beloved boy Mids had a scary episode. We thought that this was the end . Well, every person we encountered, from the receptionist, to the nurse and the most compassionate, gentle vet(think his name is John), were so lovely and kind to us and most importantly Mids. They were thorough and gentle to our little boy. The whole clinic is spotless and accommodating. There's even a drink station, for tea, coffee and water. Separate waiting rooms for cats and doggies, alleviating stress for the animals. Wonderful staff all round, they really care about the animals and indeed, us worried pet parents. Thank you so much.

Fantastic experience: Our dog had a pretty bad accident and we were advised by our vets to come here due to the emergency and I can't recommend them enough. The vet surgeon Imogen is quite possibly the most loveliest lady ever, she was so reassuring to us when we were worrying a lot, you can tell she had our dogs best interest at heart and really tried to go above and beyond. She fixed our dog really quickly, and was very thorough about after care and even wanted him to come back in 2 days so she could check on him. When we came back she remembered that he is quite a nervous dog and instead came out to the car to avoid stressing him out. The receptionists were both lovely as well, offering words of reassurance when they could see we were getting worried and flustered. Such an amazing place and I wish we could go there every time we needed the vets because they're better than our actual vets! Thank you Imogen and the Team for looking after Georgie so well X

Negative experience: This review doesn’t deserve a star! They killed our girl. Please please do not take your pet to this practice, we sadly lost our beloved family member. little cherry (PUG) to an emergency C section I understand this breed of dog has complications with having to go under but this wasn’t meant to happen the result of trauma and treatment of lack of care and all about money! We paid 5K and come home with a passed away girl in a blanket, when we arrived she wasn’t in distress she was calm but we new she needed help as labour wasn’t progressing, they tuck her in the back said they give her injections to bring on the labour then 10 minutes passed they said nothing was happening she needed the emergency operation so we went ahead. We got a call 5 hours later to be told that she went into difficulties and had a heart attack they did CPR and found a heartbeat but she was likely to be brain dead so we rushed down to see her, they didn’t want us to go and said no as she was critical, then we was met with a man that said she was doing better and that there was a chance she was going to make it an that she could be home by dinner time, we asked to see her, she was in the theatre room still on the table freezing cold with an oxygen tube no machines hooked up just a heat mat under her and unresponsive, they lied they let us hold on to hope that she was still with us, sent us away left us another 5 hours to say she wasn’t doing well an that they were going to put her to sleep. We then went back an they brought her in to us an all they talked about was money an what they think had happened. They then wanted an extra £1500 for the extra treatment they said she had received even tho we new she had already passed they was so cold not once did they apologise or show any sympathy this place is so cold and all about money! Please this is not me being angry I just don’t want anybody going through the heart ache we have had as a family. They play on vulnerable people

Fantastic experience: The team at Petmedics took exceptional care of our dog Sophie. It wasn’t the outcome we wanted and we lost Sophie due to a congenital kidney issue but they pulled out all the stops to diagnose and keep her comfortable. We were with Sophie when she passed away and can’t thank the team enough for their experience, diligence and care for Sophie and ourselves yesterday.

Fantastic experience: Whilst travelling up from Dorset to Manchester, our dog became severely ill with diarrhoea and vomiting. Within 5 hours he had gone from a happy dog to one who was severely ill. The brilliant staff at PetMedics saved his life over a 48 hour stay. The communication throughout his stay and the follow-up afterwards was all excellent. Thankyou so much to everyone who was involved.

Fantastic experience: We bought our British Shorthair here out of hours on Sunday evening after he’d had an unusual partial seizure. The staff were absolutely incredible and the vet helped us to figure out the next steps for diagnosing the issue with our kitty. She also discussed with us things about our cat that our usual vet elsewhere hadn’t told us for 3 years of looking at him! I was really really impressed with the knowledge and attentiveness of the vet, couldn’t be more impressed. Thank you so much to the vet who helped us and to the reception team who made the whole process a breeze!

Fantastic experience: We only visited once with our Newfoundland Yogi , sadly he had to be pts. The care that was given to him was fantastic and the compassion shown to ourselves was extraordinary. We received a handwritten personalised card with his paw print a few days later. For such a large practice to do this is marvellous as our own small vets practice has never done this for us. A very big thank you to all the staff for making such a hard decision a little easier.

Fantastic experience: My rabbit developed GI stasis incredibly quickly (within a few hours) and I took him immediately to this vets as he was incredibly unwell. He was 5 years old so I chose not to have CPR done as I didn’t want him to suffer with his gut and recover from a stopped heart. Unfortunately, after 4 hours of him being there, he passed away from cardiac arrest. It absolutely broke my heart but life is cruel. I didn’t hear what the vet was saying to me about how it all happened because I was crying so much. I’m hoping he went peacefully and not in any pain. Afterwards, we arranged his cremation with the recommended crematorium who were absolutely wonderful. I had this massive fear that my rabbit would be lay around for ages decaying and I didn’t want that for him. But the crem called me when they were doing his fur cutting and when he was going to be cremated. It gave me so much reassurance and peace to know that he wasn’t forgotten about and handled quickly. Yesterday, we received a card from the vets with some of his imprints which was really moving and heavily appreciated. I’m not exactly sure what the imprints are of though as it’s hard to tell with bunnies. They’re either his nose or his paws but I’m not sure. Not many vets would do this for their owners! I’m hoping by tomorrow/Tuesday, I’ll be able to bring my baby home to rest. Thank you

Fantastic experience: I can’t thank the vets and reception staff enough for saving my little girls life ❤️ Betty is my whole world and after being admitted with Pyometra she needed surgery and there were complications. Throughout the whole time they kept me well updated and told me they had been having cuddles with her. She’s a nervous girl and this made me so reassured. After fearing she may not make it due to how fatal this could have been I cannot honestly say thankyou enough to pet medics for not only saving her life but genuinely saving mine too by the care you gave my little girl ❤️ they even let me visit her on day 3! Thankyou thankyou thankyou she’s now home and I couldn’t be more grateful

Fantastic experience: My beautiful cat Benji passed away on the 5/6/24 moments before we got here but they took him and we so compassionate towards myself and my son. They sent him off to be cremated and phoned me when they received his ashes, they also sent us sympathy cards with Benji's paw prints which was so beautiful. I would just like to thank you all for the care you showed. We loved our cat, he was part of the family so thank you again. From Ruth and Shane and Benji ❤

Fantastic experience: I had to take our eldest fur baby to Pet Medics 21st April 2024, he was nearly 12 years old and became unwell, quickly deteriorating. Unfortunately he didn’t make it. But every single member of staff I interacted with did so with such sensitivity and empathy. I am so thankful to them.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend PetMedics Worsley enough. Our baby Alfie fought for 9 days in ICU with severe AHDS, and in the end we had to say goodbye to our little pup due to complications that couldn’t be avoided. It has been truly heartbreaking for us, but I can confidently say the team did everything they could from start to finish. Mariana, Cecelia, Laura, Clare, Silvia, all the nurses and reception team worked together to give us regular updates and to make sure his final days were comfortable, encouraging and full of cuddles and love. We were able to visit every day and we all had a common goal in mind; to give Alfie the best chance possible every day. It wasn’t the ending anyone wanted, but they did everything right. I cannot fault them, and I hope everyone giving bad reviews out of spite or misdirected frustration comes to the realisation of the importance of insurance. There is no NHS for animals. Our treatments came to almost £12k, and it was still covered by insurance - however the time, care, medication and examinations carried out every 4 hours by the team each day was priceless. If you value your pets, give them the best chance possible by taking out a good policy and bringing them to PetMedics Worsley. Thank you again for all your help and compassion.

Fantastic experience: We received excellent service at the emergency vets with our pup Zeus. Zeus had even items being a lab x that he shouldn't have including stones. The reception staff were friendly and helpful amd we seen the vet within 5 minutes. Our dog absolutely felt at ease with the vet and it was very clear she knew exactly what to do and how to approach our large pup. Zeus loved her and we vert well behaved as she made him feel comfortable. The vet sorted our pup out within the hour and gave us some excellent advise and how to help.zeus over the next few days. She even told us to return to her if there was any problem. We can not thank her enough for sorting Zeus out and saving an operation. Highly recommend. And his sister thanks you for letting her partner in crime come home.

Fantastic experience: The team here saved our pups life, the expertise and care is world class and we cannot thank them enough. Milo developed severe pneumonia after ingesting something he shouldn’t have and they acted fast and thorough covering all grounds before his final discharge - even when we visited Milo between his discharge he was still so happy despite what he was struggling with, this filled us full of confidence that he was in loving hands. Thank you to all the vets, nurses and the reception team that dealt with Milo for ensuring he got back home to us his usual bouncy full of life self.

Negative experience: Currently in a conflict with them over a refund for BOAS surgery for my frenchie... they assured me they did payment plans and were all to happy to accept my down-payment of £800 for a £2500 surgery, to then call me a day before the operation to tell me my credit score wasn't high enough (impossible as I literally work in debt recovery and know about credit scores) said they would refund the money but take £80 out of the refund for a consultation fee. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!! Nothing but a moneymaking con.

Fantastic experience: Outstanding and caring service from Pet Medics Worsley. We very sadly lost our beloved dog Watson on Sunday. We brought him in a state of upset and panic and were seen right away. Sadly, there was nothing that could be done and we had to say a very painful goodbye to our little companion. The kindness and care that we received from the reception team and veterinarian was outstanding and I will be forever grateful. I will remember the care and professionalism that you provided during one of the most difficult times we have ever experienced forever. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I took my cat to PetMedics for a tooth extraction as my regular vet said it was beyond their skill set. From the moment I walked through the door I knew he was in good hands. Everyone was so kind to me as I was a bit worried and Colin put me totally at ease when he explained the procedure. Wouldn't hesitate to take my pets back here.

Thankyou to the vet and all the staff.. Angel and family x

Negative experience: My puppy passed away recently and I was shown no compassion from the out of hours vet what so ever, I was met with a very cold demeanour from her. They don't care about your pet and their welfare, all they care about is your MONEY! Especially if you have to go through PDSA like I did, due to this all happening on the same day I purchased my puppy my puppy wasn't insured. (Very unfortunate circumstances, still no exact explanation to why this has happened) No up front payment no treatment! I payed £149 at a lowered cost through PDSA, I was then told my puppy needed an over night stay and I would need to pay a further £112. Due to purchasing the puppy the same day and buying food & all the puppy essentials I was struggling with these payments, and in the end this was payed by a family member, with no option for monthly payment. I was told that's not how they operate, if I couldn't cover the cost limited care would be provided. After the balance was payed, because my puppy was a "charity registered dog" there was still some limited access to care/ investigations including resucitation not being an option if needed. Clearly distressed, I was made to feel my queries were a detriment to the vet, there was more compassion and understanding from the lady behind reception. If I could give 0 stars I would! An extremely traumatic expeince not made any easier by pet medics!
