Negative experience: Honestly this might be the most useless medical service I ever used. My cat was diagnosed with gingivitis after many visity to the doctor and every single medic we had had limited knowledge about the course of action in this case. We were lucky that an intern told us that we have to extract the teeth, the doctors were absolutely useless. No post surgery checks or advice, no feel of urgency or responsibility, nothing. Everyone in that building looks like they are under a spell. Having the appointment at a fixed hour only to be taken 30-40 mins later. every single time. Been there for almost 4 years and no sign of improvement.

Fantastic experience: Just an amazing vet that takes all the stress out of what comes with vet visits and any procedures being done on pets. Easiest vet to recommend to friends and family for me in this area I've been multiple times and I am amazed by how incredible the service is every time from the reception team to the nurses

Fantastic experience: We have been with Liverpool vets for 4 years and highly recommend, we wouldn’t go anywhere else. All staff are so kind, friendly and efficient. Always able to get a quick last-minute appointment when our naughty dog eats something he shouldn’t (regularly), never a long waiting time in the surgery and always clean, informative and just really lovely. Always patient and soft with our dog even though he gets very nervous. Best vets in Liverpool would recommend to everyone!

Fantastic experience: Truly the most exceptional, professional and supportive vets I ever encountered. I had to bring in my new kitten who suddenly got very ill just a few days ago. I originally took her to a practice closer to me, but the vet grossly misdiagnosed her as just being fussy and getting used to new environment. The vet here, Phoebe immediately spotted she was sick and did all the tests needed to diagnose her. Another vet, Colm who also took care of her, was also so kind and amazing with her and made sure she was not in pain. My sweet kitten sadly passed away yesterday but I know that she was given the absolute best quality care in her final days and did not suffer like she would have done if I listened to the other vet. Even though I now live in Birkenhead, I will still only ever bring my other, adult cat to this practice.

Fantastic experience: Really kind staff and professional service, they charge a reasonable price for consultations and are thorough. I recommend for rats as many vets don't seem to specialise in their care, but my girl was well looked after

Negative experience: The people were pleasant. The costs are extortionate. The cost to have a tiny cat ‘put to sleep’ have gone up £110 in 5 months to £279. Nothing special. No ashes. Go elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: All the vets and workers couldn't be more helpful and sweet. They treated me and my cat so well. I booked a last minute appointment for the next day and they fit us in right away. They gave me all the paperwork i needed and it was such an easy going experience.

Fantastic experience: The Liverpool Vets has gone above and beyond. I'm a first time puppy owner with a pup which enjoys getting into mischief. I've visited the vets a number of times within my first few months with her and all of the staff has continuously been helpful, kind, compassionate and understanding. I had an emergency with her a couple of weeks ago - their compassion (for me and the dog!), knowledge and care during this time especially was absolutely outstanding. No amount of written word can accurately describe the peace of mind a reliable and compassionate vets will give you. Please go with The Liverpool Vets if you want the best.

Fantastic experience: My cat accidentally ate a Lily on Thursday afternoon. The Liverpool Vet saw him immediately and calmed my nerves whilst they treated me, even though he wasn’t registered with them. They were so kind and professional, and ultimately saved my cats life. I would recommend them to anyone!

Negative experience: REPORTED TO RCVS FOR CONCERNS THEY MAY HAVE FALLEN BELOW REQUIRED STANDARDS. We booked Jiggy in to The Liverpool Vets following concerns about her recovery following a dog attack which had led her to requiring emergency medical care at a separate veterinary practice. Jiggy was experiencing rapid and shallow breathing, could barely stand and walk, hadn’t eaten for four days, vomiting, shaking, in visible pain, largely unresponsive and had a growth approximately 5cm x 5cm with a depth of around 3-4mm at the side of her surgical wound. We were told by the vet that the breathing was normal, that we shouldn’t be concerned at a lack of appetite as this wasn’t unusual for a dog and to only become concerned once it was seven days, that the growth was swelling from the surgery and the fact that she was able to stand meant there were no issues with the legs. Jiggy was given a pain killer and we were told to return on Friday if we were still concerned but were made to feel like this would be unnecessary and very much precautionary. Unfortunately Jiggy passed away suddenly from an infection less than 36 hours later. We reported this to The Liverpool Vets on Monday 3rd June and despite having chased for an update are yet to receive a response two and a half weeks later. We can therefore only assume that the death of a dog in what feels like avoidable circumstances is not a priority for this practice and if this is the case for us it could be the case for others.

Fantastic experience: The Liverpool Vets have always gone so far above and beyond to care for our pets. We've received outstanding care whether for a large dog or tiny hamster, they always do everything they can for you. Especially recently when our dog Ferris had to undergo emergency surgery, they fit us in really quickly so he could be treated, were so reassuring to us and incredibly caring with us throughout. It can be hard to find vets that understand greyhounds as they are really odd dogs but everyone was so knowledgeable and brilliant with him. At all of his follow up everyone in the practice was genuinely concerned to know he was doing ok, and that we were as well. They really do treat your pets like their own and we couldn't have asked for better.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to this vet's numerous times with different problems with my dog Meek. The support and service from all the staff is incredible. Meek is an XL and has recently been neutered, the staff were very helpful, answered any questions my family or I had, and gave plenty of support pre-op and post-op. Thank you, The Liverpool Vets. Negative experience: Would think twice before using this vet - gave our puppy the wrong vaccine and he had a reaction and was seriously ill and then had to foot a massive bill for follow up treatment . Then every follow up meeting record keeping was poor and a mess. We got the style over substance from this vet and have since changed.

Fantastic experience: All of the staff here including the receptionists, front of house staff, nurses and vets are always incredibly lovely and welcoming and really make you feel like a valued client. They're always so loving with your pet and do their best to make them feel comfortable during their visit. Our kitten Faye was very sick recently, however they were very supportive and very efficient in helping us find referral care. Since then, they have been very keen on updates and clearly care a lot about our pet. If you're looking for a great vet in Liverpool city centre I honestly can't recommend them enough! Thanks for everything :)

Fantastic experience: Brought my Guinea pig there for the first time , everyone so helpful and friendly. Highly recommend. Especially Pete who took care of my Guinea pig . Further visit April 2024- this time we had the pleasure of meeting Colm who took care of my guinea pig so well. I couldn’t recommend Liverpool vets enough.

Fantastic experience: James was so professional, he greeted my dog before me ensuring that he was happy for him to approach us, especially important given we were having a socially distanced consultation outdoors. James was clear about what he was proposing in terms of treatment, what the timings and the costs would be and he made certain that I understood everything before proceeding. This was our first visit and I couldn't believe the difference in the quality of care that we received here compared to the last vet we saw - this practice has got the balance between professionalisms and friendliness just right and most pleasing of all was that this trip was all about making sure my dog was respected and cared for; just because I pay the bill doesn't make me the centre of attention - great job James!

Fantastic experience: All of the staff at this vets are amazing and so patient. I registered my elderly and blind dog at this vets over a year ago now as his original vets was not very patient with bentley so it was something we’d try to avoid for so long(given he can be quite anxious at the vets and can be tricky to keep still to get a good look at him) but they have been nothing but kind and understanding here with Bentley on every single occasion. I couldn’t be more happy with the care we have received. The staff from the vets, to receptionist to the clinical team on the phone all do a perfect job of reassuring you with any concerns or worries. ❤️ thank you so much for once I have a calm and relaxed fur baby!

Fantastic experience: I took my baby today for her first vacation, the staff are super friendly and attentive and are ready for any concerns you have. Such a great service and a credit to the company

Negative experience: Extortion, for money not for pets. I can't feedback if vets are good or not, as they were just continuing the same treatment as my previous vets, but they are twice as expensive as other. And the most basic and common painkiller is charged 4 times other vets do, which is awful as you have no option just to pay for analgesia and you pay much more then you should.

Fantastic experience: Went there for the first time today, receptionist was welcoming and I was seen immediately. The vet herself was one of the best vets ever, she was patient, understanding. You could tell their was empathy and a true love of animals. I was worried about my cat, they did not try and exploit my emotions as I've experienced at other vets and push all the tests under the sun. I felt like everything was my choice and went away with peace of mind and nothing to worry about.

Fantastic experience: Lovely people who really care about our animal friends however they were bullying me and my wife into pet insurance, making us feel terrible. Other than that, a lovely establishment with the highest quality staff. God Bless, thanks for looking after my pooch, his life is worth more to me than anything. We live our little pooch God Bless And there's more, this woman who attended to our dog also told us never to wash our dog because he is a Siberian Husky and you never wash that type of dog. NOT TRUE. Also never cut his nails. Again NOT TRUE. Why would this hippie woman tell us this wrong information. If you look up our dog Georgie a Siberian Husky you will see who she was. We were not very pleased with this woman at all.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic first time at this vets. All the staff I met were so welcoming and friendly. Allison my vet was amazing, as was the Vetinerary Nurse who assisted her Judith. My cat is petrified of the vets and everything was done with time to make her feel less anxious and more comfortable. Thank you to you all.

Fantastic experience: All of my five cats have had nothing but a fabulous experience at the Liverpool Vets but recently after my Sphynx cat, Betty, got a nasty burn from a radiator, Danielle and the rest of the team have been nothing short of amazing. They've been prompt and helpful with her care, been continuously in contact with me via Petsapp and telephone, and shown genuine care and concern for Betty. They have even dealt with my insurance provider for me which has been a big help! Thank you to all the team and thank you for always being great ❤️

Fantastic experience: Absolutely outstanding service. Vicky the receptionist kindly registered us with no issues (as we had only recently moved to Liverpool) and we were able to take our 13 year old Labrador Rocco for an emergency appointment just 30 minutes after calling the practice. Karen listened to our concerns and carried out the initial assessment and immediately took Rocco in for treatment. We were contacted multiple times throughout the day with updates on his progress and investigation results. Emily then gave us a thorough breakdown of the test results including showing us scan results on the computer and explaining findings along with suggestions for further t management. We were so very impressed with the professionalism, compassion and communication of all staff. Despite being busy, it was like they had all the time in the world for us and we will not take a Rocco anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: So happy with the treatment here.. they treated my dog and myself with kindness and gave us all the time and support we needed. Sorted a treatment plan for my zula and even though she's nervous at the vets this was the best vet we've been to and she managed better here than anywhere else due to the lovely staff. Every single staff member was lovely. I'm happy to call this my new vets. Even reassure me with my anxiety. So happy! 100% recommend ❤️ thank you so much all at the liverpool vets. Fantastic experience: I cannot rate the practice highly enough. Since we got our dog 2 years ago they've been fantastic. He's recently become very nervous because of an experience with a groomer and this has generalised to the vets. The team have been lovely letting us visit every week, giving Charlie lots of treats and fuss and really helping him build his confidence. Nothing is too much for them and I wouldn't trust anyone else more with Charlie's care.

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough for the practice. The staff are all the loveliest people, they really cared for my pet and helped me through a very challenging situation with my dog, when I couldn't cover the costs for tests and also when decisions needed to be made for my dog's wellbeing and examinations. Everyone has been gentle with my dog and giving me detailed advice and plans to resolve the situation efficiently and as quickly as possible. A big thank you to all the staff for their hard work during this time, no other practice I've been to has been so efficient and caring.

Fantastic experience: My spouse and I have brought both of our cats in to the vets several times in the last two months, most recently for a semi emergent medical issue. Toffee and Pluto have been seen by Dr Danielle and Dr Pete respectively, and their care has been nothing short of the best. They both treat our cats with such kindness, listen to our worries and answer our questions, and leave us feeling reassured that we're doing right by our cats. The nurses and receptionists are amazing as well, I feel like people rarely mention them in reviews but I feel like they can make or break a practice, so when one of the nurses brought our Toffee out after having her bloods taken, she was all but singing her praises - she is very shy and anxious and is only settled around certain people, which means TLV hires some of the most kind hearted and patient people they can if they managed to get her to cuddle up to one of the nurses. The receptionists are incredibly polite and always have smiles on their faces, and their communication when appointments need to be moved is second to none. I'm glad my cats are registered here, because both them and my spouse feel comfortable with all of the staff.

Fantastic experience: Pleasant visit to the Liverpool vet for my two dogs. Good service as has always been the case. Was informed about the practice being very recently bought by a large veterinary company. The reason we chose The Liverpool Vet was because it was independent. I hope that this will not cause too many changes. I suppose I will have to wait and see. For now though my dogs were very well looked after in a very pleasant environment.

Fantastic experience: After taking our Corgi puppy to The Liverpool Vets for his first vaccination, we knew we struck gold with this practice. We cannot thank the team enough for the love and support they show us and Bailey, our puppy, throughout all of his check ups and vaccination appointments. Fantastic experience: I wouldn’t take my animals anywhere else! We owe Liverpool Vets everything for our border collie celebrating his first birthday today! They worked/still work tirelessly to make sure feffy would be okay, finding him an emergency place in hospital and continuously communicating with them throughout his treatment to make sure everything is perfect for him. Special shout out to Simon and Lauryn as we get dragged through the front door at every appointment so he can see two of his favourite people we really can’t thank everyone at Liverpool vets enough for saving our puppy’s life.

Fantastic experience: My cat, Elsa had a great first experience with The Liverpool Vets today. We were early to our appointment but they were able to see us straight away. Heidi, the Head Veterinary Nurse handled my cat so well whilst clipping her claws. Heidi was patient and really gentle with Elsa. Heidi took the time to answer my questions and went above and beyond the service I'd booked. 5* service. The vet surgery itself is also super clean and tidy. All staff were so welcoming and friendly. Thank you for making Elsa's first trip to a new vets so easy and smooth.

Fantastic experience: I visited for the first time today with Mo and it was brilliant. Mo is very anxious at the vet’s and knew straight away where she was despite not having been before, Alison was so lovely and patient with her, she even had Mo wagging her tail before we left! Vicky was also lovely on reception, everyone very friendly and helpful. I’ve been looking for a vets that really care and can accommodate anxious pets to make the whole process easier for Mo and think we’ve definitely found that at The Liverpool Vet’s and I will certainly be less worried when taking Mo for any treatments that she needs.

Fantastic experience: The best vets I've ever been to. The staff are wonderful, me and my cat Mad-Eye Moody are always met with smiles and reassurance. The staff are professional, never judge and give the best help/advice. Nothing is too much trouble for them and you can tell how much they actually love the pets! If I have to leave Mad-Eye with them, I feel relaxed because I know he's so well looked after ❤️

Fantastic experience: Visited today for my cocker spaniel’s annual check up and vaccinations. I’ve been going to the Liverpool Vets since they opened. I got my dog in September, and they opened shortly after. Before Liverpool Vets I went to the usual chains but they I found them to be rushed and quite condescending, especially as a first time dog owner. The Liverpool Vets have always been amazing. So thorough, caring, and wonderful taking the time to explain things to me like his treatments and medications. He’s just had another clean bill of health and I thank the Liverpool Vets for all their wonderful advice and care so far. We will keep coming here forever, even though I’ve moved a half hour drive away now! Always worth it.

Fantastic experience: I was registered with the Liverpool Vets for a good few years; I've moved away so am unable to use them any more but I wanted to leave a review to show my appreciation. I have only ever had positive experiences with the team here who have always gone above and beyond for my pets. I have small animals (hamsters and then rats) and the love and care the team show for them is exactly the same as they would for any larger pet. Two of my rats had to have surgery, unfortunately one didn't make it through but I was allowed to visit him after he passed and even bring my other rats so they understood he'd gone. Another rat had a very successful surgery and when he started chewing his stitches the team were very quick to help and even redid his stitches internally. They also made him a little jumper from a sock to stop him chewing them! I cannot fault the care they offer at the Liverpool Vets, every member of the team is an asset and I know if I was still in the area they would always be my first port of call. They truly know what they are doing and care for every patient and owner. They are a wonderful team and if you and your pet need veterinary support I would 100% recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Brought my lil’ pup in this morning. As always, kind and professional care from the team. Karen is an absolute gem. She recognises Buddy is only a lil’ fella and didn’t want to be too evasive nor provide any more medication than necessary. Also wanted to ensure Buddy’s comfort level and not doing anything that would be too painful for him at this time. I am glad I brought him in and I know he is on the mend. We had a good chuckle when Buddy refused a treat from Karen, based on their encounter this morning—treating backside abscess. His guard was up. which we agreed was reasonable. Thank you as always for the top service

Fantastic experience: A very late review, but better late than never! Our late dog was very nervous of vets. When she passed, we got our first German Shepherd Lulu and had to research vets in Liverpool, we eventually tried our luck here and what a miracle it was. She was a mere 3 months old. The first visit is so important and the staff were just so absolutely lovely with her, especially during the hard time it was back then with Covid... They've treated our lil menace with so much love she didn't want to leave! Every other time we had to take her in (mainly allergies) they've been always so kind, Lulu always gets excited if we're even going past the vets, if that doesn't say how comfortable and welcoming they make the pets feel, I don't know what does. We've been fortunate so far to not have had to visit too often, but when we do it's truly so heartwarming to see the staff so excited to greet Lulu! Lulu is my sister's dog mainly and whenever they're back from a visit I hear nothing but good things. She is also currently studying to get into veterinary and the staff were so helpful if she had any questions relating to it. We just got our second bundle of joy Hugo whose the same breed and we cannot wait to take him in for a first visit. There's absolutely nowhere else we'd take him but here.

Fantastic experience: Always go above and beyond for me and my dogs! They make life so much easier and nothing is too much to ask. Highly recommend this vets as both you and your pets are really looked after, not just treated like any paying customer! Particularly Danielle, Simon, Lauryn, Emma and Vicky have all been amazing! Fantastic experience: Having rescued cats for the last thirty years, and been a dog and cat owner for most of my life, I've seen a lot of vets! I had no hesitation in moving when Danielle Greenberg and her team opened up last year. No surprise that Danielle won PetPlan Vet of the year or the Practice Best New Practice. The care and hard work of everyone there is very reassuring to often very stressed owners. Even when you pet has reached the end, they handle that with great compassion and understanding. Even out of hours they still help, offering free Vetinerary care to the pets of the homeless in Liverpool. EDIT: three years on, Danielle and team have moved to the other end of the street , for the simple reason that their previous premises could no longer cope with the growing work load. Still the best vets I've ever used. They even have a dedicated recover and treatment area for cats. It was wonderful to be able to have a scan done to check if my cat was pregnant last year, and they really looked after her and the subsequent kittens. If I have a grumble it's that there aren't enough cats on their socials!

Fantastic experience: A massive thank you to the staff here, my cat was an absolute (unexpected) nightmare getting her vaccines and the staff were brilliant. After calling in another vet and wrapping her in a towel, they managed to get the injections done and were so kind. Everyone I spoke to was brilliant and so understanding of my cats embarrassing outburst

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend this practice enough. Staff are super friendly, helpful and compassionate. I was so scared bringing my cat to the vet as he’s a timid house cat and hasn’t visited a vet in 14 years. The vet was absolutely fantastic with him and made sure the treatment was quick and efficient so I could get him out asap! Thanks guys

Fantastic experience: The team at the Liverpool Vets are absolutely amazing! From the moment we got our cat, they’ve treated him (and his worry wart owners!) with care, compassion and professionalism. We’ve always been made to feel so at ease whenever we’ve visited, and they went to great lengths to ensure our cat was happy in his appointments which makes such a difference. Fantastic experience: They were excellent treating my little guy, who had a tail accident. He felt comfortable coming back for follow ups, meaning he was treated well and with love. Fantastic experience: Fantastic. Three of my Rats have been treated here and have all had incredible treatment. All staff treat patients and their humans as part of their extended family and any nervous patient will soon be calmed by nurses who are willing to carry them around, sit with them while they wait for an op or come round from an anaesthetic or feed them a favourite snack. And, if like myself you're a wheelchair user, don't panic about the small step down into the shopfront! On arrival one of the team members will spot you through the large glass windows and help you in - they have a folding case ramp that makes access super easy. I wouldn't trust anywhere else with my Rats

Fantastic experience: It was my fist time attending The Liverpool Vets today, highly recommended by Aughton Meadows Pet Crematorium. I was blown away by the kindness of the staff, on initial arrival, being greeted and supported by Charlyne, Simon and Rosie. Thank you so much for making me and Remi, my little Frenchie feel so welcomed and comfortable. You guys were so kind and supportive, offering cuddles to Remi to reassure her, as a puppy, in a new place. The atmosphere was perfect! Warm and welcoming with the essential local humour easing nerves. Remi was treated by Dr Emily Holland who had the kindest and most gentle approach, ensuring all of Remi’s needs where met, whilst making an excitable little pup comfortable too. The treats helped :) Remi received a full check up and vaccines today and Dr Emily kindly discussed all information thoroughly. Would highly recommend your practice to all. Thank you all again for making our morning and first trip to the vets so comfortable and enjoyable.

Fantastic experience: So glad we have this vet in the community. I brought one of my elderly rats here for a check up. The vet was very knowledgeable about rats, she gave me care tips, and advice for a goodbye plan. All the staff are super friendly. The appointment was very affordable. No up-charge for a rat being an "exotic pet" like some other vets.

Fantastic experience: This vets is the standard we hold ALL other vets to. None come close. Everyone is lovely, caring, professional, conscientious. Amazing, talented, lovely people. They treated all of our beloved rats who seemed to really enjoy getting ill, and recently, Zen, our cat who we sadly had to say goodbye to this morning. They saw him through a horrible series of infections with love, attention and care. To the point where you start rethinking all of your relationships. They treated Zen and the Lady Babies (rats) better than a lot of my ex's have treated me. Special Kudos to Danielle, Emily, Heidi and Simon plus all the nurses (Emma and Lauryn) for taking such good care of him. Just an example - Zen discovered when he had a urinary infection that his absolute favourite place to pee was in Emily's sink. So they closed the practice room for the day and Simon moved his desk in there so that Zen could have free reign to relieve himself with someone there instead of being locked in a cage to strain. We're devastated we lost Zen and the rats. But we know having taken them here that they received the absolute best care they could have. Thank you

Fantastic experience: Quick and efficient in helping us to get the information we needed about our cats, and super quick to book us in for appointments when needed. A brilliant independent practice that can cater to all your furry friend needs. Pete was incredibly helpful in diagnosing my cat with an injury on her back paw, and made her feel super comfortable in the process - so much so that she was giving boops, although she did also throw a scratch in there (so apologies for that one) All staff were lovely when checking in, and the new premises are fantastic.

I loved that they could see past the nervousness and see that he isn't a bad dog he is just scared. Definitely found my new permanent vet clinic. Fantastic experience: Always a 5* service. I have been using The Liverpool Vets since (not long after) they were incepted and wouldn’t go anywhere else. They took great care of my beloved dog before he passed and have stepped up for my current one. Nothing is too big or small and your pet is treated as one of their own. If they can make it happen, rest assured they will. I just wish they took on human patients

Fantastic experience: I had been previously with my first cat Indie and always left feeling happy and confident she was in very good hands. I rang at 5.30 pm tonight as my new kitty who I had not yet had a chance to register had swallowed plastic which was stuck in his throat. At very short notice they accommodated Henry and saved the day - without them it could have been a very long, scary and expensive night. All the members of staff stayed behind to make sure everything went smoothly. Thank you so much

Fantastic experience: As a small animal owner (rats), I cannot recommend The Liverpool Vets highly enough! Been coming here when based in Liverpool for years, for treatments, neutering, and unfortunately euthanasia. Reasonably priced, good appointment availability and a friendly, clean environment. The entire team at this vets are so wonderfully compassionate, the vets themselves are incredibly knowledgeable. Where other clinics have jumped to potential euthanasia as an answer to my rats problems, these have looked into treatment and provided great guidance. Thank you so much for all that you do! Truly a credit to the city, I would never dream of taking my pets anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: Danielle and team were so patient with my very nervous dog. They took their time and found ways to accommodate him that were easier on him (despite being more difficult for them!). I didnt feel in any way rushed or like he was a bother, hes not easy to handle. When I left, I felt calm and informed, I couldn't recommend them highly enough. They are always consistent in their approach, any team member I have met has taken the same care.

Fantastic experience: Visiting a friend in Liverpool and needed a vet for my nervous rescue. What a wonderful experience. My dog was treated like a queen by Emily the vet (and all the reception staff) with positive reinforcement, patience and kindness. Am gutted this isn’t going to be my vet in the future. Fantastic experience: We have used this practice for a couple of years and could not fault them. We had our dog Ruby there yesterday for her booster jab. Fantastic experience: Got a last minute appointment here for my little cat. The staff were so lovely on arrival and the vet, oh boy she was perfect with my cat! Very patient and understanding, showed genuine care for him. Prices are very reasonable for the excellent care. Happy to say I've found a permanent vet for my little guy!

Fantastic experience: I would strongly recommend this vets. All the staff are very helpful. Danielle the vet that operated on my dog was fantastic and explained everything she had done. I have found using the Pet App is also very good as it is easy to contact for any concerns, appointments etc and you get a speedy reply. I am based in Runcorn and am hoping to move shortly and happy to travel every few months or so to Liverpool as stated at the beginning of this review the staff are all helpful and the new surgery is really pleasant.

Negative experience: The reception at this vet really irked me. It's concerning that finding cost-wise and practical solutions for minuscule issues is not readily employed. I love my dog and I spoil my dog relentlessly. He visits the veterinarian often. I recently travelled to Europe and the Uk from America and can tell you that my dog's veterinarian medical records travel with me. My dog has his American, EU and French records/ passports. My dog has had many examinations recently - especially for travel. My only regret is that I didn't bring enough flea/ tick preventative medication with me. I wasn't sure of the rules for bringing medications into another country. I didn't realize that the weather would be so warm once I arrived to the U.K. I don't live in Liverpool and just needed a prescription for nexguard. It's the same prescription my dog has used for the last 3 years. His weight has only fluctuated one or 2 pounds and he was recently weighed. The reception wanted to charge me the full examination fee. I can understand some kind of fee but that's outrageous. The reception said " We don't know the history of the animal." I offered to provide her with hard copies of my dog's medical, including the ones government endorsed American Animal health and Safety, American vet history and French passport recently stamped. I can't believe a compromise could not be reached. I understand that the vet will argue that a full examination is needed before issuing medications but a full examination fee is outrageous when I could have just forwarded his last recent examination. If you are looking for repeat business this is definitely a good way to turn away pet owners . In my experience, I know that it is at the full discretion of the vet as I have had vets who didn't charge full examination fee especially for something so simple. I do not recommend based on my experiences with the receptionist.

Negative experience: We thought the vets were great to begin with after a bad experience with our previous vets. Unfortunately, it went downhill when they accused me of lying, then didn't think to refund my consultation fee after wasting my time. They are also expensive compared to other vets and charge even more for phone consultations.

Fantastic experience: We have a relatively nervous Romanian rescue who is scared of the vets. The Liverpool Vets are always incredibly calm, patient and understanding of her past. Vet appointments are nowhere near as stressful as they used to be. I specifically want to thank Charlotte and Marie who always make the extra effort to make a fuss of her and try to make her feel as comfortable as possible before and after any treatments/examinations. There was a time when we couldn't get her through the front door of the vets nevermind in a treatment room. The last time we took her in, she went straight through the front door, was greeting every member of staff she saw and willingly went in the treatment room for a mooch. I can't recommend The Liverpool Vets highly enough.

Fantastic experience: I have been visiting The Liverpool Vets with Mika since I rescued her back in September 2018. Our visits have been varied, and at times (for me) quite stressful with the cat wrangling and drive with additional Felliway diffusers in the car. I have trusted the team to wholeheartedly take care of Mika - albeit standard checks, eye infection, when she was neutered and every December for her annual booster. They have recently moved to a new unit location in Cleveland Square - located by the best Coffee shop in Liverpool too. It’s sharp, clean, calm, accommodating and their setup is perfect. Vacated with the most awesome and selfless team. I most recently had Em Holland facilitate Mika’s annual booster and checks. Taking the time to answer my queries and questions, going above and beyond. I might add, as my visits to this practice might suggest, the team accommodated me and Mika throughout the COVID pandemic and lockdowns, their service, smiles and professionalism never faltered. Superb. I couldn’t recommend The Liverpool Vets anymore if I tried. Littered with qualified, caring and loving human beings. Keep doing what you’re doing. Mika has found her local practice and I won’t be going anywhere else, no matter the journey! Me and Mika will see you again soon! Sam.

Fantastic experience: Excellent service. Both the vet and receptionist were lovely, so kind and professional. They give my pet (bunny) a check up, some advice and tips, etc. I would highly recommend this veterinary.

Fantastic experience: Honestly, the best vets you could hope to find anywhere. The culture, attention and kindness of this practice is a testament to the identity they have carefully built. We are so lucky to have this place in Liverpool. We moved here a year or so ago after feeling unhappy with the distant, corporate culture of our old vets - the usual quick feeling of transaction, followed by more worry (and usually more visits). Most vets will look after your pets, Liverpool Vets care about them as well. This is the difference.

Negative experience: The worst vets in Liverpool, avoid at all costs. Staff are unbearable and they will charge you extra on any silly little thing they do. I took my dachshund too them for his second set of vaccinations and from the second we got there i wish i had never booked it with them. There is no where to park to begin with, so they want you to run the risk of a parking ticket which the customer who came in after me found out the hard way for. Then the vet who dealt with him, she hardly touched him, she was to busy typing things and going in the other room, she then had to bring another vet in to help handle my 1.7kg miniature dachshund which is laughable and we also where told we would be given a free health check nose to tail, thrown in extra for the price of his vaccines, but it turns out thats another lie they tell you, because she proceeded to do the check and then charged me for his ears and eyes which last time i checked was in between his nose and tail and then on top of that they tried to over charge me for them they was meant to be £18 per test and tried charging me £22 and even when i raised the issue i was told i was wrong and it took the vet to tell the receptionist how much it was. Then i asked to speak to to a manager, Simon who then proceeded to argue with me over it all for 20mins before stating hed given me a refund but still not had the money back off them. Please save yourself and your little loved one all the hassle and go somewhere else

On this occasion I offer the highest praise and thanks to Danielle and her team at the Liverpool One Vet . The care , sensitivity and expertise offered during the final consultation for my elderly cat was, without doubt the most caring and dignified experience . Danielle helped me through a very sad and difficult consultation , which I knew would be the last for my very old cat who was helped to her final sleep . Fantastic experience: This is the second vet we tried and I have to say they are very welcoming and professional. The Vet knew how to handle Mochi even if he nibbled her hand a bit. They attempted to cut his nails but was unsuccessful bc Mochi was very determined to escape However I was impressed how both the vet and nurse handled him and gave us good advice. Would recommend to hamster owners.

Fantastic experience: Amazing and caring team, thank you again! We brought our cat Clive in after he had stopped eating and lost a lot of weight. He was seen by Emily who found a lump and had him straight into scans the next day. The team found a foreign object in his intestines which had caused lots of damage and he was rushed straight to surgery which was life threatening because of how ill he was. Danielle took him to the overnight vets for us and had him monitored for the next few days along with the rest of the team (sorry I’ve missed a few names!) who all knew everything about him already. They honestly couldn’t have done any more for us during such an anxious time. Clive was touch and go for a few days following surgery but after monitoring and medication one week later he’s home for good and is back to his old self, eating and playing as if nothing happened. We just wanted to thank everyone again for taking such good care of our little mate as I know almost all if not everyone had some involvement, and for keeping us updated the entire time!

Fantastic experience: Lovely vets very modern and fresh. The staff are all lovely. The vet we saw was very kind and I felt she really cared about my cat. Never had a problem getting an appointment here unlike our old vets. We visited here as twice my old vets had no appointments and wernt accommodating at all. We will now be moving all 3 of our cats to this vets.

Fantastic experience: Amazing! From the moment you walk in your fur babies are treated as VIP’s and staff are so friendly, each vet takes time to reassure both yourself and furbaby, if medication is required, they go through the process of how to apply at home so you know how to care for your pet. They take time out to discuss treatments, alternatives, and they do full research for you so that any questions/concerns you may have are answered with full knowledge, you literally leave with a high standard of knowledge about your pets condition. They don’t force products but provide you options for you to chose. They work with you and your pet and you budget (sometimes you may have to visit just before pay day ). They really reassure you and calm both yourself and nervous pets whilst there. You can also ask many questions and they take time out to answer, you get the impression that you are not rushed (some vets like to get you in and out as quickly as possible) not this vet, they take their time with you and your most treasured family member and provide 5* treatment and care. They really do care for your fur babies as if they where their own, which is very personal touch that they provide and you can tell it is genuine and true. I would highly recommend the Liverpool vets to anyone (which I do). Especially to nervous owners or pets. Also they have just located to their new surgery and it is amazing. Can’t fault anyone at this place they have all been wonderful and caring. I only wish I could give them more stars for their dedication and hard work.

Fantastic experience: We’ve been with The Liverpool Vets for a year now. Initially took my dog as a 10 week old puppy for his second jabs and been back half a dozen times since for a few treatments, concerns and 1 year boosters. Can’t recommend the Vets at this practice enough, they are caring, considerate and have my dogs interests at fore of everything they do. They treat us like we are a part of their family and they put my dog at ease, he loves seeing them!
