Bow PDSA Pet Hospital: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Parking. Essential for poorly pets in East London. Friendly. Effecient.
Fantastic experience: I have been going to PDSA Bow for the past 11 years for my Dog Hugo, just wanted to say im grateful for all your efforts and availability shown in emergency cases. Thank you to Amber the manager who also let us stay after all these years. Appreciate you all
Fantastic experience: Today was a very busy day for the staff at Bow the surgery was absolutely full wirh vatying conditions from simple to complex tomyerminal. At all times the staff were helpful and caring...without them where would tgese animals and parents be.
Fantastic experience: I've been coming here for years with my cats now they are gone i come with my dog. Staff are friendly & kind vet's & nurses all do great job.
Negative experience: making money hospital, they "care" about pet but more about £££££££££ you call if you want to use them! Also, you call the line you get bumped around and around and later they ask you to go online or share another number? why if I Call a number you share another number over the phone, just to make things easy right.... disturbing way to manage clients that call to talk to you...
Fantastic experience: Friendly and caring staff.
Negative experience: Do not recommended this hospital our pet dog Alaska went here several times for check ups and problems etc. When the vets said she’s fine it’s just a water infection when in fact she was pouring out blood and wasn’t able to go toilet. The vets just supplied us with tablets medication. Rather than giving her an xray or ultrasound to find out what the issue was. They just chucked medication at us and told us to see if she gets better in fact this time double the dosage. While being on that medication it slowed our Alaska right down to the fact that’s she couldn’t walk or go toilet anymore so we rushed her to the emergency vets some place else to only get told that her blood vessels have popped and her stomach was filling up with blood to tell us that she has cancer! In which bow PDSA should have properly looked at her and done there job and could have treated it earlier on as she has had it for a while! sadly we had no choice as she had 1% of surviving and had to lose our Alaska by putting her to sleep as she was in pain! We are heartbroken as a family as we put full accountability to bow and blaming them for there actions. 29th December we put her to rest and have been broken since! Avoid at all costs!
Fantastic experience: Great service .lovely helpful staff and very animal friendly
Fantastic experience: Friendly customer service happy with the servis nice and clean parking place big
Fantastic experience: Really helpful staff in every way
Fantastic experience: Wonderful pet care, staff all very professional and caring from the moment you make an appointment to treatment, clean affordable friendly professional and efficient, the best
Fantastic experience: Sadly the time had come for our 18 1/2 year old cat to make the journey over the rainbow bridge, as her long standing ailments had got the better of her. The genuine heartfelt compassion shown, not just by the vet treating her, but by all staff was second to none. Everything was explained fully and carried out on our timescale and only when we were and felt she was ready. At no point were we rushed and we were given all the time we wanted to say our goodbyes. They even took the care to insure after we left she remained in her favourite soft snuggy and was wrapped loving in it. The empathy they showed us made a very sad and distressing time much more bearable. Thank you PDSA for your compassion, empathy, and care. All the money in the world could not have provided a more dignified service.
Negative experience: extremely terrible auto phone call service, kept yapping and yapping nonstop instead of actually getting a staff to answer the phone
Fantastic experience: Lovely pet hospital, totally dedicated vets truly wonderful.
Fantastic experience: Amazing everybody is brilliant and very helpful
Fantastic experience: Very nice catering place Happy to treat all animals and Very good vets
Fantastic experience: I’m disabled with a handful of chronic illnesses. I wasn’t aware of the new policy changes over the years, since my last dog had to be put to sleep. I paid a friend of a friend to take me there, because of local taxi services declining my dog to be in their car. So I turned up with my dog unannounced, because he needed to be put to sleep. The receptionist informed me of the policy changes,I was worried that I would have to get home with my dog and arrange another appointment, but pay the driver again with money I couldn’t afford. But the staff were brilliant and understood the health issues of my dog and I and helped me and put him to sleep. What amazing kindness and compassion for my dog and I. So I Thankyou to all the staff and vets for going above and beyond. My poor dog Bruce was really suffering in the last few weeks of his life but got an amazing benefit from the staff recognising it was his time.I thank you all and think about the compassion shown to my dog Bruce. P.S. I hope I’m not getting anyone in trouble but felt compelled to share my thoughts about this amazing kindness and compassionate compassion shown to Bruce and I.
Negative experience: ridiculous wait time and quite often useless diagnosis/advice
Fantastic experience: Really nice people working here. Very caring and friendly.
Fantastic experience: Good vets only issue is waiting time for meds.
Negative experience: I arrived at 8.50am to the centre which strongly stunk of urine and waited twenty minutes past my appointment time without complaint; the minute the vet (questionable) called my pet into his room we entered without delay, as I started to explain why we there the chap interrupted me mid sentence to storm out of the room, upon return he was curt and dismissive, informing me he was overworked and under staffed so would not be looking at my cat (Queen) and her kittens. So startled I burst into tears apologising for being there in accordance with the advice given to me by the pdsa customer service centre.
Fantastic experience: Great service… be prepared to Waite and be patient… staff very helpful.
Fantastic experience: my kittens received great treatment
Negative experience: AVOID AT ALL COSTS. if you are receiving benefits, try the PDSA in ilford or any other branch. the vets here are incompetent and uneducated. they make decisions based on how they wake up that morning. speaking as someone that has monitored 4+ animals with different owners coming here, do not put your pets life in their hands. they told us our pet would die in 2 days and we should request euthanasia. we received a second opinion. it has been months and he is still here and recovering. this identical situation has happened to another user of this vet branch’s cat. they tell you one thing for treatment, and when you go back, they tell you what they first said is ridiculous, and that they would never recommend that? as if there is anyone else in the room recommending treatment. they seem to have chosen their job but have no care in the world for it. read the other reviews, and make your own decision, but my advice is do not come here. the vets can also be unbelievably rude and lack any empathy. i once asked an old vet with very short blonde hair if there was anything i could do for my pets strained breathing and she replied ‘well if you would let me finish i was going to say this will help’, i didn’t interrupt her and waited for her to finish her steve and she was still miserable, and surprisingly, it did nothing until we went to another vet! if you love your pet, only take them here for check ups. if there was a way to report this failure of a veterinary institution i would.
Fantastic experience: I found the staff here friendly and polite. I came here with a appointment so I wasn't a walk in. However they treat everyone here equally and keep you updated as the earlier appointments do run over. Card payment is accepted here I wasn't sure about cash tho. Big waiting area so no issues there. Also the car park is free to use for customers only. Plenty of space and also they have disabled bays.
Fantastic experience: PDSA have the most competent and compassionate staff. Everyone I encountered from the first telephone call to the vet appointment is amazing. Wishing you all the best in life for the exemplary care you provide to the suffering and innocent. PDSA = good human beings.
Fantastic experience: 10/10 for Care and kindness The best thing saving my cat.
Fantastic experience: It is a great pet hospital, they help the ones who may not be able to afford it. The wait times can be long but that is to be expected.
Fantastic experience: Thanks God they exist Great people offering much needed help Thank you all
Negative experience: On Monday 19th may 2025 around 4:45pm I took my cat to bow pdsa hospital for a suspect of urine leaking or blockage in his bladder as he was peeing everywhere constantly and little bit (not fully urinating) he kept licking his private part and was discharging orange colour discharge from it, which I've mentioned over the phone and at the appointment also. However the nurse checked him up just by hands and eyes. She didn't even examine him or request for any tests or ultrasound to investigate what the problem was. However she assumed that my cat had a UTI and then gave him two vaccination to treat it (didnt exactly tell me the name of the vaccination. She didn't exactly explain to me what she was giving him and why However I was like an idiot fully trusting on her. Later she prescribed three oral medication Gabapentin Milpharm 100mg, Loxicom 0.5mg 5ml and Yumove urinary care capsules. She adviced me to start giving him the medication from the next day after 5pm. The pharmacist told me that my cat would feel lethargic and sleepy after taking the medicine so not to worry about it. So I took him home, he's condition was still same. The next day he was still the same no improvement. I started giving him his medication like the way I was told. Then on Wednesday he was more weak and I started noticing he wasn't eating and he's condition was getting worse. I called pdsa however I couldn't get through then had to look up and call which ever vet was available as it was an emergency and he was struggling to breath. Found Veteris vet. The vet arrived and checked him up and told me my cat has a blockage in his bladder. The vet also informed me that the state my cat was in he would not be in that state in a day. I told the the vet that my cat was seen by pdsa on Monday 19th. The veteris vet said pdsa should've investigated his condition more further or atleast should've done bloodtest and ultrasound to check his bladder and what exactly was going on. Which obviously wasn't done. I really feel pdsa has neglected my poor cats health and illness and cause of this I lost him. This is the second time I've lost a cat after getting treated by pdsa. I understand you guys charge way less than others but that doesn't mean you shouldn't treat pets properly in the end of the day you're not providing service to our pets for free, we are paying you. I want to raise this issue so that no other pet parents have to go through what I've gone through. Maybe if my cat was seen properly on that day he would've been alive today. I would really appreciate if you look into this matter very seriously. And treat pets patients with genuine care and assistance and not ignore even minor symptoms. And for heaven sake stop guessing illnesses rather investigate.
Fantastic experience: Brillaint vets! Everyone is so friendly and helpful - I've been coming here for close to 10 years - thank you to the incredible team that always go above and beyond ❤️
Negative experience: Bit of a shame they only service people on benefits, having been here for assistance with my pets when i was a child, the service was amazing. As an adult with a pet in need i think i would have a better chance at the butchers.
Fantastic experience: Excellent service, thank you for neutering my cat Mango
Fantastic experience: Thank you pdsa BOW I bought my Lola in yesterday you s are amazing and thank you for what you do for our animals
Fantastic experience: I cannot thank Bow PDSA enough for the incredible care they provided to my furry son. The team was not only professional but genuinely compassionate. They explained everything clearly and thoroughly, making sure I understood each step of the process. Their dedication and kindness went above and beyond—5 stars simply aren’t enough to express my gratitude. Highly recommended to anyone who wants their pet treated with love and respect.
Fantastic experience: Very nice place good staff easy to talk to plenty of seating tolet on site clean on site parking but a bit limited after staff parking easy walk from bow road tube station
Negative experience: Took my Sharpei dog to bow PDSA vet hospital had a appointment last week waited my turn when I took her to see the Vet Doctor, there I told the man who see my dog she’s not very keen on men. He turned around and said to me it will be okay we will put a muzzle on her so they could take blood I told the man she won’t let you I have to do it. He told Me No he’s got two ladies at the back who were helping him, so he took my dog and come straight back with her and said your dog is very aggressive. I said to him you having a laugh with Me so I said so, you’re not gonna do nothing to help my dog when my dog is not eating she is losing weight. He said we will give you some worming tablets. So I said to him, but when I took her to the emergency vets at Ilford, they told Me Me she could have kidney failure or liver failure and you’re giving me worming tablets I said she needs a blood test he said she will have to be put to sleep so we can do the blood test I said that’s fair enough. I said well can you do it now he said no, I’ve got other animals to see so I said what about my dog? He said take her home keep an eye if any changes bring her back what kind of vets does that my dog is still suffering The amount of weight my dog has lost still not eating properly wean everywhere I just wanna seek medical help for her. She must be But these people don’t want to do nothing to help your animal disgusting
Fantastic experience: Amazing place. Very helpfull and friendly staff. Great vets and quick service. Treated my cats very well. Would recommend 100%
Negative experience: Completely unhelpful reception. I ask to reschedule an EMERGENCY appointment I just booked but with a different receptionist, they tell me to do it online after I waited in line for a while. A pet’s emergency means nothing to them.
Fantastic experience: The staff were lovely and very helpful thak you soo much from whisky and Tequila
Fantastic experience: The waiting time was a little long, but the staff was very professional and understanding
Fantastic experience: Its quite very busy at times but the vets and the staff are lovely and kind and very helpful if you have concerns about your pet i cant thank them enough for looking after my pup bear jones and being a disable person they help me and are very patiant with me great place to bring your pets
Fantastic experience: Amazing staff and all so very kind and helpful.
Positive experience: I really appreciate this place as they help pet owners a great deal who cannot afford expensive vet costs. The only reason I have given 4/5 is the fact that staff on two occasions have been quite rude and hasty as if no care for animals. For this kind of job you should be empathetic, patient and caring. For this reason I refused to make a donation. The veterinary staff need to fix up
Positive experience: 8 months ago I was with a Bichon that had heart failure. Then I gave a bad review not knowing about this disease... In time I researched it. And I thank them for all the help given. The only problem was that they did not do blood tests or a heartworm test, which I would have paid for since he was too young for this disease.
Fantastic experience: The PDSA we're an invaluable help to me during an upsetting time. They have real empathy and show true understanding of the trauma that exists, from having a sick pet. Honestly, I can not rate them enough.
Fantastic experience: All staff are great at the PDSA veterinary surgery at bow. They are very helpful and go above and beyond for for there patients. Please keep the hard work up. And thank you for attending to my paw so quickly ❤️ thank you Honey Cummings
Negative experience: We had a truly awful experience here when we had to say goodbye to our 11 year old Lab cross Lola. We had phoned ahead to inform them that there would be 5 family members coming so could we have a larger room, yet when we arrived we were put in the smallest room they had, with us all on the floor and my youngest son crammed under an examining table. Multiple people came in, asking us questions that we'd already answered (for example 'what seems to be the problem did he just collapse?' she had been deteriorating for months and we had been in for several appointments so they knew that). There was never any kindness or compassion shown, with the exception of one lovely staff member who was visibly distraught at our loss and expressed her sympathies. After Lola was gone, they tried for ages to take a paw print for us but they struggled hard with this, as if they'd never done it before, prolonging an already awful moment for us all. All in all, in what was a moment of extreme grief for the family, PDSA provided us with what turned out to be a completely awful experience and a terrible final memory of our beautiful Lola. We will bring in someone to do this at home next time - it's obvs more expensive but I think totally worth it. This place should be avoided - I appreciate the low cost service they provide but if the corresponding care suffers greatly then what's the point.
Positive experience: we’re very nice and gave me paw print and fur of my cat but did not treat my cat when we took him. we took him a week before and even the day he passed they said he was fine and i didn’t even get to say goodbye and i thought he was coming home.
Fantastic experience: I had my cat rregjistered with them for more than 10 yrs. Top vets in there, great customer service very clean. Keep it up guys. Thnx for been there whenever in need.
Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff caring and always have a smile to greet you
Fantastic experience: They are the best vets in town. They really do care for you pets. Thank you
Fantastic experience: Two of my cats needed dental treatment. Both are much better now. Thank you!
Fantastic experience: The vet Alice is excellent and helpful. Best vet ive seen. My little dolce got eye drops and her mums in tomorrow for teeth extractions. are very greatful
Fantastic experience: My 3 year Cat Honey became unwell so quickly and PDSA staff were amazing from the receptionists, nurses and Vets. They were so amazing, helpful, professional and understanding. My Cat passed away but they did all they could and gave enough time and information to go thru this difficult time. Many thanks and appreciation to the PDSA team in Bow E3. You do a great service for the pets and their owners.
Fantastic experience: Just been to PDSA in bow and the lady call Kelly help with my dog LULU. Kelly is so kind and help she really take care of you and make you feel at ease.
Fantastic experience: I had my girl spayed here following the xl bully ban. After hearing so many horror stories of dogs not making it through surgery all over UK vets, I was scared & cried when leaving her. Her stitching was amazingly done. Got loads of comments from people on how well and clean the stitching looked. She was neatly shaved. Had a few problems of her bleeding but they referred me to an emergency out of hours PSDA & they were amazing too. She healed so well. Only thing I weren’t too happy with is one of the vets being too afraid to check her during her check up appointment despite her being muzzled & me lifting her up to make it easier for her to see the stitches. She didn’t show any signs of aggression. Eventually, another vet was called into the room who weren’t afraid and checked her out. Lady who discharged my girl was lovely also. Shame I didn’t get their names. Thank you guys so much.
Positive experience: The service they are running is excellent. However I would have waited to end for the staff to ask for donations. Not at the beginning.
Fantastic experience: I tried to register my pet online and failed so I went there to register in person. The staff were extremely helpful and explained everything to me very clearly. Very kind and helpful staff and Chester, my dog has an appointment next week.
Fantastic experience: Really great people - the vets who look after Luna and Simba are amazing. They care so much it’s amazing to see
Fantastic experience: Staff very friendly, was seen promptly and both myself my dog were treated very kindly! The vet explained everything clearly regarding my dogs issues and treatment which helps to elevate any anxiety! Overall I had a very positive experience.
Fantastic experience: My cat was really ill so I took him here they treated him quickly and treated him like he was their cat. Please give a donation if you can, as this is a lifeline for people who can't afford the vets
Fantastic experience: compared to few vets i’ve been to this has been by far the best … staff are very friendly .. only downside is that the odour inside the place is very strong and sadly needs more attention too.. had to keep my nose closed at times when i walked it .. overall i had had very positive experience with them
Fantastic experience: These guys are awesome Lovely atmosphere, very caring people who work there. Exceptional value. I am so grateful that there are charities like this to help those in need with vet costs. Thanks PDSA
Fantastic experience: Great place to take pet. Dog was very sick and they helped straight away. Live in Islington so a bit stupid that had to travel to Bow all because rspca would not help. Thank you very much Bow PDSA
Fantastic experience: Inside clean, nice atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. They have their own parking spaces, which is really useful, especially when urgently bringing the sick pet there. Prices are much cheaper than in private vets. They also sell some medicines and dry food. You can donate your unwanted pet toys, clothes, etc.I do recommend.
Fantastic experience: Very nice staff and vets. I am very grateful to them even though my pet did not survive. They provided. A very compassionate and professional service. Thank You.
Negative experience: I took my dog here because she had trouble breathing turns out she just had an infection but they said to me because she had thee legs that she should be put to sleep. She should be put to sleep because of her age the only thing these people care about is killing animals, Please think very carefully before you come to this place if you have any other options go there instead the way they were speaking about animals is disgusting and they do not deserve to be open
Fantastic experience: Thanks to everyone we interacted with at our appointment today. From the reception staff who were all kind and courteous, to the vets themselves, the hardworking staff behind the scenes and not forgetting the medicine dispensing staff. Even though it was extremely busy there this morning, they all took it in their stride. A big thank you to you all, where half these pets would be without you, is not worth thinking about. Thank you.
Negative experience: I will be suing them for hiring unqualified vets who are too afraid to touch animals. I took my cat (Layla) who has not been eating and avoiding all physical contact (she is normally very affectionate). My appointment was at 12:40pm, the VET called me in at 2pm. The VET asked me to take my cat out the carrier and hold on to her. She asked what her symptoms were and kept repeating the words “I understand, hmm, poor Layla”. She looked into Laylas mouth, but seemed afraid to even look into it properly, checked her heart beat and then checked her temp, all while I was holding her down. I then asked her if she would like to look into Laylas mouth again as she looks like she is in pain when she tries to eat. She then reluctantly checked, looking afraid the whole time. I told her Layla will not bite or attack, the worse she does is growl. She said “she might attack if she is in pain”, I then asked what she thinks could be wrong with my cat, she responded “it is hard to tell”. She then injected Layla with a painkiller and prescribed her with painkiller tablets. She did not do any further testing and said her temp was normal, so no sign of infection. The following day, Layla was looking worse so I decided to take her to vets4pets Beckton. This vet actually held Layla, weighed her and then took her to the back to check her temp. He then told me her bladder was worryingly large and he released a huge amount of urine within her bladder. He said he has never seen a cat with such a big bladder. He then did a urine strip and discovered she has a UTI and Cystitis. She could have DIED if he had not released all the urine that was inside her bladder and prescribed antibiotics. Bow PDSA are hiring unqualified vets who are too afraid to touch the animals! She did no testing and could not answer any of my questions and was going red in the face.
Negative experience: An absolute disgraceful place to take your pets. I have taken 2 of my cats here, one when he was just a kitten, I was told to put him down as he will not survive even 2 weeks. I decided not to put my kittens fate in the hands of these "vets" he is now 8 years old, running and happy. Recently I've taken my oldest cat who is around 11 years old. They did a quick check on him and decided to tell me one of his organs have failed, and he should be put down. Once again I decided not to listen and took him to another vets, they did blood tests and scans. Found out he has an infection NOT a failed organ. He was given antibiotics and is happy and safe again. PDSA is an okay place to take pets for check ups. But DO NOT TRUST them with your pets life. They are a charity based vets guess they don't want to use the resources. Should be ashamed.
Fantastic experience: The ladies that work at reception are absolutely fantastic I been a few times but because it is far I now go Ilford and let me tell you Ilford are rude abrupt and talk to you like your dirt. Mile end Pdsa receptionist are so polite understand and very welcoming, Im Going back to mile end pdsa . Ilford think they are super upper class and talk down to you in a rude manor ( one particular women) she closes the phone down while explaining your concern about you pets health. One time I had to take my mum to her demetia appointment and told reception I need to be on time ( it's like I told them I have all the time in the world she purposely kept there until I missed making my mum to the inportant appointment, all I went for was to collect worm and flea treatment. Ilford Pdsa don't care for your pets health They don't even try. Please go mile end they are wonderful they even one time let me pay a few days later for the treatment has I didn't have enough on me, Ilford point blank refused me once but that's ok with me but it makes u think huh? Mile end Pdsa REALLY CARE for YOUR PET!!! The vets and reception are second to none
Negative experience: Unbelievably inhumane, these vets. Swear by all that’s holy, may God claim my soul if I deceive you. But these practitioners are not merely incompetent; they’re driven solely by profit. When my precious two-week-old kitten fractured his delicate leg, their immediate solution was amputation. Despite my insistence on exploring alternative treatments, they defensively instilled fear, manipulating my emotions until, foolishly, I consented to the surgery. Though his thighs were unharmed, they callously removed his entire limb, from hip to paw. They even brought in so-called specialists to validate their claims, but it was all a £350 profitable game. One vet boasted, “I’ve practiced this for 25 years; trust me, they’ll live happily.” I urge you, pet owners, do not be lured into blind trust; these individuals are not the professionals they claim to be. They are solely here to empty your pockets. My boy can’t even wear a prosthetic leg anymore, as they amputated his entire limb. Consequently, he’s now destined to suffer from arthritis in the future, as he won’t be eligible for a prosthetic. Please, learn from my painful lesson. Don’t let these heartless predators prey on your love for your pets. Seek genuine care elsewhere. They will tell you not to believe what on the internet and boat about their degrees, so please please please do not take there advice whole heartedly.
Negative experience: Would never ever recommend this for anyone. Out of 3 of my cats, their best course of treatment for each of them was to have them put down. I took my cat today and only after weighing my cat did they decide immediately that he should be put down. Absolutely disgusting. A different branch of PDSA seemed to be quite helpful but the maniac “vets” in this branch seem to enjoy taking pets from their owners. Just in my waiting time here alone I witnessed 2 other pet owners get convinced to put their pet down. Don’t believe a single thing they say and please consult with a different veterinarian immediately as to the possible course of treatments your pet can receive.
Positive experience: Ok service but lots of room for improvement There can be token system for appointments which can be good for us as owners of the pets then we will have an idea when will our turn be. If the time frame is maintained its going to be good for everyone in general as sometimes it takes too long which isn’t good as we have lot of other things to do as well. Thanks
Fantastic experience: They do amazing work here! Always helpful and the vets and staff do such hard work
Fantastic experience: Loved it. They were professional, kind, and better than other branches. Thankyou reception it starts with your organisation. I will come to your branch from now on.
Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing service and staff, I adopted a stray cat who was having problems eating and was in pain due to inflamed gums, I registered with PDSA on the Saturday but as my cat had stopped eating I couldn't wait for a designated appointment so was given same day emergency appointment on Monday and all I can say is from the vet to reception staff they were so kind, friendly and polite. I was happy to give a donation, they work so hard to allow people on low incomes to no incomes to still have the ability to look after their beloved pets, highly recommend Bow PDSA and thank you for all that you do! I see some reviews claiming they are so hard done by that they had to contribute a donation fee , I'd just like to point out I know most vet practices in London can charge up to £75 some times more just for a consultation fee!!, then the added amount of money for medication! So your talking about over £100 at least, and I can assure you the medication cost will be A lot higher than what you contribute to meds from PDSA, maybe some people need to be more appreciative that a place such as PDSA exists in the first place!
Fantastic experience: Genuinely in awe of the guys that work here. The place is a god send, it's cost effective and even more so for those living below the poverty line. Their support and love for my little one has been unprecedented and the vets are excellent. Really nice to see a place full of passionate people delivering great care to animals.
Fantastic experience: PDSA Bow do a fantastic job providing affordable veterinary care for our pets. I was taking my cat here regularly for the past several years as she was elderly and needed regular check ups, she received great care. Recently, I had to call their emergency out of hours vet and my cat got the help and care that she needed. Sadly, she recently had to be put to sleep but I donated all her things to the PDSA. I wish I could give them more because they totally deserve it.
Fantastic experience: I visited the pet hospital yesterday for an emergency appointment at 11:30 am, concerned about my cat Miyagi. During this critical time, I was attended to by two incredibly professional veterinarians. Despite the heartbreaking outcome, where they informed me that, due to Miyagi's poor health, he would need to be put down, the way they handled the situation was exemplary. It was an indescribably difficult moment for me, but the empathy, professionalism, and genuine care exhibited by the vets made a profound difference. They guided me through the process with kindness and respect, ensuring that both Miyagi and I received the best possible care during those final moments. A heartfelt thank you to the team for their support and compassion during one of the toughest decisions a pet owner has to make. Your professionalism and empathy have not gone unnoticed and are deeply appreciated.
Fantastic experience: Had the awful experience of having to say farewell to my much loved Kiera dog today, after rapid cancer growth, the staff, nurses and vets are very much appreciated with all their work, so SAD gonna miss our 'little pup "

Fantastic experience: A brilliant place for your animal / pet whatever kind of condition they are in PDSA never fail to provide the best service to help them get better and prescribe the medical or vita ins or treatment they need. My cat Simba is a rescued Cat and has needed a lot of help from them. Thank you PDSA Bow Pet Hospital.
Negative experience: All the negative reviews are very relatable, I will tell u why. I took my kitten here about 4 times, and all I can say is this is no charity. They charge £20 for a face to face consultation to leave with no help or diagnosis plus add unnecessary fees. At the first visit they told us that our kitten either be on meds for life or need to be put down but couldn’t give us a clear reason why. We gave him medication and he was perfectly fine. Imagine if we didn’t have the funds for the medication he would have to be put down. Fast forward a few months our kitten is feeling better than ever but suddenly began vomiting 6-7 times in one day and hadn’t eaten for a day. We took him in and they suspected something was stuck in his stomach. They asked if we would like to admit him because it’s life threatening but said it would cost £140 plus £20 for seeing him. We went home and they called us, the way they spoke to us was like a threat saying he will either have to get surgery as the x-ray wasn’t showing nothing which is quite unusual, I wouldn’t see why a “foreign item” wouldn’t show up. They also said that they can’t guarantee they will find anything and even if they did they are not 100% they will be able to resolve it. But if he does pass away we still have to cover the cost of an extra few hundreds. As me and my family didn’t agree due to the high costs and risks I asked if there are other options they initially offered he will have to be on medication and anti sickness to see if there would be an improvement. Or he will be have to be put down but would also have to pay to kill my own cat lol. We asked if there was any help with the funds on their behalf but they carelessly said no he will then have to be put down. There was no remorse or emotion whatsoever. Then they asked us to collect our cat and spend time with him and bring him back to put him down if he can’t eat anything or if it can’t stay down. They claim to be a charity but failed to help us with the funds. It’s true what the people are saying, they do not care about animals, this “charity” is all for money and are trying to make matters worse by asking for hundreds but when we cannot provide its “he will have to be put down”. They are not reliable during tough times and emergencies, pls Beware. If u want to pay to put down ur cat then this is the place for you! I will post an update!
Positive experience: Very busy but trying their best to help. One negative point, paid reduced fee for a vet consultation and was met by a very rude woman vet who I fell didn't want to be here and was pretty condescending which I didn't like one bit
Negative experience: Ok if you want your animal to die in pain. With people that sit behind a charity. So we all should not say anything . They are disgraceful . Formal complaint put forward.
Fantastic experience: Helped me with Ernie when I could not afford the Vets. Were very kind and always made Ernie feel safe. They were there for us when it was time for Ernie to take the bridge. Thank you for making this as easy as it could be. I’ll never forget the help you gave us, Bonnie
Fantastic experience: I really appreciate the support and care they have been providing my cat. She is currently on palattive care. All their staff have been emotionally supportive to me and my family. They have been open and honest from the beginning, which other vets do not do. I would recommend pdsa to everyone.
Fantastic experience: Amazing place , friendly staff and they managed to quickly identify the issue with my cat. Very grateful for this place and all of their help! They ask for contributions/donations but are never pushy about it.
Fantastic experience: Amazing receptionists really kind and thoughtful and working so hard in some stressful situations would highly recommend the Pdsa but please leave a donation! Quite shocking to see people not even leaving a £5!
Fantastic experience: All the stuff member including the receptionist are extremely helpful. They will always get back to you as soon as they can and they're very friendly to the cats and extremely helpful. I went there with my heavily injured cat and they gave me an appointment straight away since the application was processed extremely quick. Will definitely go there again with no worries as I know I can trust them
Fantastic experience: This charity is heaven sent. Help with everything to do with my pregnant princess although they have an anti-pregnancy policy. They were so informative about my dog's c-section and helped her throughout the whole ordeal and she welcomed 3 beautiful pups. I'm so grateful towards this charity.
Fantastic experience: They are an absolute brilliant service without them so many pets would die you are angels well ❤️
Fantastic experience: Saw my animal right away as an emergency have had to make use of this charity for many years and Cabot fault the staff or treatment they give. Always try to donate whatever I can afford. A fantastic charity. Donate if you can when you can. Thanks PDSA
Positive experience: Very helpful. And caring and understanding people I would recommend the vet practice as One of the best. Even losing my best friend in the world. I like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you God bless all Mr John mcgloin ❤
Fantastic experience: The vet was an older man who was so caring and gentle with my dog. She was absolutely fine & happy when I collected her later.
Fantastic experience: Very nice staff and very nice receptionists. Allways polite never rude the best vets I have used by far
Fantastic experience: I have nothing but love for the Staff of bow PDSA. I came there this morning after my dog died, to hand him in for cremation, and unfortunately they were closed that day, because they were filming a new advert. thankfully I was able to access a vet who explained to me what was going on and how we would move going forward. They agreed to the surrender of my dog's body for cremation and discussion on monday going forward as to how we'll proceed. Thank you so much, PDSA. Although our house is currently filled with grief and loss, you've helped us through our hard time. Again, thank you. Sorry, cannot supply photos during this sad time.
