Fantastic experience: Vincent is an exceptional vet. He spent so much time with me before the procedure on the phone, and again when I dropped my cat off. I never felt rushed and he explained everything clearly. You can tell he’s highly skilled, but also very kind and calm, which makes such a difference when you are as worried as I was. My cat is recovering really well. The reception team, nurses and other vets are all brilliant too. Everyone at mayow is professional and compassionate. It’s expensive, but vet care is expensive everywhere. For the level of attention, skill and care we received, it’s worth it.

The current team are always so welcoming and attentive to our cats and always give a choice of options rather than guiding us to one particular course of action.

Fantastic experience: I can't praise the team at Mayow Vets highly enough. They took exceptional care of our puppy and kept me regularly updated on the progress of her surgery. I had absolute confidence in the fact that she was in more than capable hands. We knew her treatment plan would be fluid depending on what was found and they were open and transparent about the various costs and options the entire way, even during the surgery, so that we could make an informed choice. I would definitely recommend them.

Fantastic experience: This vet practise is wonderful. Skilled, kind and caring and fair, reasonable charges. I am so happy to have found them and recommend them highly.

Negative experience: Predatory vets. Opportunistic fear mongering practice very obviously leaning into tactics to get you to spend as much as they can get out of you. No bedside manner or actual care for your animal. The practitioner was mostly interested in making sure I paid and booked for follow up appointment than anything else. I would also challenge the positive reviews with generic one lines listed for this vets.. The following day I went to my trusted vets who gave me an honest and reasonable diagnosis and a course of antibiotics, which cleared the issues right away. If it were up to this vet my dog would have been sent 4 places for 5 tests, a biopsy and at every turn there was a reason as to why X was going to cost more than Y. The woman who I saw I would avoid at all costs. At one point she had a needle in her hand to inject my dog with something before I had to stop her to ask her what it was and the price.. we didn't need it. Avoid at all costs.

Fantastic experience: Good vets - very understanding and supportive. We are able to see the same person every time, which works best for an ongoing problem. It’s easy to get an appointment, including on the weekends.

Fantastic experience: My chihuahua was seen by one of the vets at mayow veterinary surgery as an emergency, And they was amazing, my dog is not very friendly sometimes and they was so patient with him!

I’m too tired after my experience (it turned out my baby is fine ☺️) to write too much or to be specific but my summary is that they are kind, gentle, professional and they respectful the cat parents’ emotional state when we are worried and they love their fur clients. I referred my friend when she got her kittens and have accompanied her when she brought them for vaccinations. The vet treated them as if they were her own babies. Weekend opening too is just brilliant! Thank you (the photo is of her after opiates. She’s hilarious!)

Fantastic experience: I remember taking our family pet to Parish Lane as a young girl with my Mum, Brian was the head vet at the time. Now I have my own pets and after having had very bad experiences with local vet practices I travel 60mins to visit Mayow/Parish Lane and wouldn't go anywhere else, all the staff at Mayow are lovely, the care they give to my Bentley, even just for nail trimming is outstanding. I would give 10 stars if I could.

Fantastic experience: The whole team at Mayow Vets (and their other branches too) are fantastic. The most recent care my two dogs have received in the last couple of weeks has been first class. Big shout out to the reception staff who went above and beyond to manage a multitude of appointments for my puppy with his broken leg and his big sister with gastroenteritis.

Fantastic experience: The kind and friendly reception staff make the whole experience of going to this vet a lot less stressful. Chloe in particular put me at ease with my dog's issue and they also liaised well with another vet, and my insurance company. The vets themselves are also very very good. Highly recommend and look forward to returning.

Fantastic experience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had such a great experience with Mayow Vets. From the moment I contacted them, the team were professional, kind, and very supportive. They made the process of transferring my cat Blue’s medical records smooth and stress-free, and when we came in for his appointment, the care and attention he received was excellent. It’s clear they genuinely care about the animals and the owners too everything was explained clearly, and I felt reassured that Blue was in safe hands. Thank you to the whole team for being so welcoming and making what could have been a stressful time feel calm and positive. Fantastic experience: Wonderful care and treatment from vet Angie who provided dental care including an extraction for our cat Cola. He would not eat following the extraction and on Sunday I brought him in as I was becoming so worried. Angie administered a tablet to improve his appetite which did the trick. I cannot thank her enough.

Fantastic experience: My two adult rescue cats are registered at Mayow Vets and have visited several times over the years for check ups/boosters and a dental appointment. The ladies at reception are lovely and helpful and I've always been satisfied with their service. I have processing difficulties at times but I've never felt uncomfortable or rushed when asking to clarify something. I've also received outstanding service from Dr Jess and Dr Remi on separate occasions. My boys get quite nervous at the vets, like a lot of pets. Both vets spoke to and handled my cats as if they were their own - sweetly, gently and expertly. It is obviously they understand and respect animals/cats. In each instance, I felt my concerns and questions were listened to and answered, and my efforts to give my cats the best care at home were taken seriously and appreciated. Both vets are very calm, attentive, present, professional, knowledgeable and caring. Nothing is over the top. Everything is reassuring and reasonable. Thank you so very much!

Fantastic experience: I was really worried and upset about my boy Bruce, I was in tears in the waiting room. Thought I would be leaving without my boy. But Jess (vet), Toni & Abbie on reception were absolutely wonderful and supportive. Now back at home with my Bruce and his medication. Thank you so much, such a relief ♥️

Fantastic experience: I can highly recommend this wonderful veterinary surgery. We were able to get an appointment easily for our cat Fluffy, despite it being a Sunday They were extremely accommodating to our available times and eager to help. Everyone that we met from the moment we arrived at reception to our appointment with our vet Magdalen were friendly ,helpful, warm and welcoming but at the same time professional. Our Fluffy was examined thoroughly with the utmost care and sensitivity. He is usually petrified when out of his comfort zone but he was noticeably different here, Magdalen managed to put Fluffy at ease very quickly. Magdalen our vet took her time to answer anything we asked with patience and clarity. We felt Fluffy was in very good hands. We will most definitely be taking our cats here again. The surgery has a lovely feel to it, the waiting area is bright welcoming and clean. I felt our fees were not extortionate considering it was a Sunday, parking was immediately outside and overall we had a positve experience at this very professional but warm surgery. Really appreciate everyone today Once more , we highly recommend Mayow veterinary surgery.

We’ve always been treated with kindness from the reception team, and got an appointment when we’ve needed one. The vets are lovely and we’re coming back in a few days for our next checkup. We’ve had not so great experiences with central London vets over the years so it’s been a breath of fresh air finding Mayow. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: We are always welcomed warmly at Mayow vets. Magda our vet has seen Fergus since he was a puppy and has always been wonderful with him. The ladies behind the desk are always busy but efficient, but always have time for tasty treats.

Fantastic experience: Our dog visits Mayow Vet every 6 months for her wellness check up. The front desk, no matter who is there, are all very friendly and happy to speak to clients! Most recently, my dog had a scale and polish for her teeth, and there was some discrepancy with insurance on direct payment versus claiming back. The reception and insurance teams at Mayow were quick to action replies and help get things processed for me ASAP. The vets are also awesome of course and our dog is happy to see them everytime! Thanks Mayow Vet!

Positive experience: All of the staff here were lovely, I felt very reassured leaving my cat in their capable hands. The waiting room is a bit pokey and can quickly feel over-crowded, which can be a bit stressful for the animals. Had some mixed messages between what we were told on discharge, and what subsequent vets have said at follow-up appointments, which has been a bit confusing.

Negative experience: Vets are good but communication is absolutely shocking. I have now called four times and each time have been told that someone will call me back or been given the wrong information. Each time I've had to call back as I still haven't heard anything and it's been days, sometimes weeks in between. Really not impressed at all.

Negative experience: This is the worst experience with a vet practice I have ever had. I brought my cat in for a repeat ultrasound scan as he’d had chronic pancreatitis for over a year but was otherwise healthy. The vet who performed the scan, Will, told me his pancreas was very inflamed, had lots of cysts in it that likely meant cancer and given his weight loss he only had a couple months to live so basically wasn’t worth pursuing any treatment. I was obviously devastated, missed work, etc. I then brought him to a specialist for a second opinion and they did another scan and said they have no idea what the vet at Mayow had seen because his pancreas was normal size, had one small cyst that looked very benign and his weight was steady. I then found out that Will at Mayow had taken my cat’s weight incorrectly so he thought he had lost 1 kg in a month! Shocking incompetence. There was also someone who phoned me a couple days after the scan from Mayow with some test results saying how rare it was for them to find a tumour in a cat…there was no tumour?! Needless to say, my cat is now on meds and is doing well!! Also, when I went to collect him, the system was down so I couldn’t pay and they never contacted me about my outstanding bill which I only found out when I went to Peckham, my usual vets for another appointment. I’ve been trying for 4 months to speak to Jade about my bill as I don’t believe I should need to pay for this ultrasound due to the complete negligence and have been repeatedly told she will give me a call back but it never happens. They are very rude every time I call in and try to sort this. I’m appalled by this service and would highly advise to go elsewhere. Update May 2025: I received a formal response only after leaving this original review, six months after my original complaint. The clinic has acknowledged some issues (like the erroneous weight that led to cancer being suggested), but has refused to take responsibility for the emotional distress and additional cost caused by a misdiagnosis that was later disproven by a specialist. They continue to insist the ultrasound was conducted and interpreted appropriately, despite a specialist disagreeing and despite it leading to a completely false and devastating prognosis. Their latest communication makes it clear they consider the matter closed without removing the full cost of the ultrasound, unless I pursue a formal complaint with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons which I now intend to do. I would strongly advise caution against using this vet practise.

Fantastic experience: This vets is superb. All the staff are kind to both pets and owners, experienced and knowledgeable and really respectful. The veterinary Magda has cared for our cats since they were kittens and we have followed her as she moved jobs. Cannot recommend her highly enough.

Fantastic experience: I was extremely pleased and impressed with the care given to my cat by Mayow vets when she recently needed a small procedure. I recommend them.

Negative experience: Unfortunately, my experience at Mayow Veterinary was terrible, and I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the service I received during my recent visit for Teddy's Neutering operation on the 10th of February The experience has been deeply disappointing and has led to a significant loss of trust in your team. I am also writing to inform others in the area as I don't want them to experience what I have. Upon booking the operation in January, I paid a £50 deposit, which was not documented, causing complications later. There was no communication about what to expect on the day or the need for follow-up appointments. On the day of the operation, I was informed of a follow-up appointment just a few days later, causing significant stress as I had to rearrange my work commitments. I specified a convenient time for picking Teddy up post-operation, but despite my explicit request before 3 PM, I was informed at 3:30PM that Teddy was ready. I had to find someone else to pick him up as I had already informed the team of my unavailability. Upon collecting Teddy, another payment of £95.81 was made. Additionally, Teddy's nails were not trimmed as requested. The cone provided was too small, allowing Teddy to reach his wound. Multiple calls to the clinic resulted in no follow-up, leaving both Teddy and me worried and uncomfortable. When I visited Mayow the next morning, I was met with dismissive behaviour from the Customer Service Manager, Toni, who questioned whether I thought there was an issue, when there clearly was as Teddy began licking his wound in front of her. Despite my attempts to explain the situation, no one seemed concerned, and I felt like I was bothering the team. After finally receiving the correct size cone, I realised I had been overcharged, and the £50 deposit was not deducted from my bill. Despite continued emails with Toni, I was suddenly left with no responses. On the 3rd of March, Toni called to explain that she had been pulled to another surgery and had not "ghosted" me. This sudden lack of communication made me feel ignored and insignificant. The invoice stated that I had paid in full for previous treatments, but Toni insisted that I had underpaid and that the £50 deposit was to cover an outstanding balance. Upon speaking to Toni on Monday, she admitted the mistake on Mayow Vets' behalf, but her response, "There is no point lying, we did make a mistake," further eroded my trust in your clinic. Ultimately, the extra £50 has now been added as credit to my account, resolving the payment issue. However, this experience has been terrible, and I am considering moving to another veterinary clinic. I trusted the team to provide exceptional customer service, but I feel deeply let down. I have lodged a complaint with Mayow Vet detailing the aforementioned issues, yet no manager has taken the initiative to contact me. As a VIP member of this veterinary clinic, paying a monthly subscription, I had placed my trust in their services based on the glowing reviews. However, this experience has left me disillusioned, and I am now reluctant to continue using their services. I hope you take this complaint seriously and be mindful about the issues raised to prevent such experiences with yourselves in the future.

Im new to the area and wasn’t even registered with them, intook my dog in when he was choking on something and they scooped him out of my hands and saw to him straight away with no appointment. Fantastic experience: I recently switched my dog’s care to Mayow Vets after being dissatisfied with our previous local vet, and I couldn’t be happier with the decision. From the very first visit to the many since, I’ve been thoroughly impressed with the care my dog has received. Booking appointments is so easy, and on the rare occasion there’s been an error, it’s been rectified in an above-and-beyond manner. What really stands out is the genuine care and attention from the vets and nurses—I feel completely at ease knowing my dog is in their hands, even when staying in for the day. Their professionalism and thoughtfulness have truly blown me away. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mayow Vets to anyone. 100% recommend!

Fantastic experience: We’ve been very happy with the service and advice we’ve received at Mayow Vet Surgery. Always a friendly welcome and the veterinarians we have seen have been really caring and knowledgeable. We joined the VIP Health Plan which has been really helpful too. My pup ate something off the ground whilst we were away in the UK, I called Mayow Vets who were very calm and helpful to point us to our nearest surgery that was part of the DNA Vetcare Group where we were able to been seen so quickly. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: Mayow practice was recommended on my local Greyhound group and I registered very easily and quickly. My hound has been very poorly and was treated by another practice as I was out of London. I felt very reassured during our consultation with Alice that she knew what Lenny needed immediately and how this could be achieved. She literally had him eating out of her hand and he had eaten very little in the preceding days so that was a wonderful thing to witness. He is not out of the woods but hopefully on the road to recovery. The staff definitely have a soft spot for greyhounds!

Negative experience: Reception girls are lovely and a vet called Kiaren ( tall Irish guy) best ever. But the vet I saw on Saturday early morning seemed very abrupt and not at all pet friendly - can say she’d had a long day as it was 845am. Every time I have visited them they seem very disappointed that I don’t do a blood test or have him neutered or consider BOAS surgery …. ‘Just in case’ My French bulldog does have a short nose, has no breathing problems at all - and why would I put him under anaesthetic ‘just in case’ ?? .£££££££

Fantastic experience: We had the best experience today at Mayow Veterinary surgery. Our greyhound ripped her dew claw on a walk and they saw us immediately. The vet, Alex was fantastic. He was incredibly kind and gave her the best care. He also gave us a lesson in how to get a fussy dog to take a pill! The nurse, Kate was also great as were the friendly and very welcoming receptionists, Toni and Vanessa. All round a great experience and we were so grateful to get the claw removed and the paw bandaged so quickly. Thank you!

Negative experience: Complete amateurs. Can never get an appointment and when we do they cancel due to emergencies. Automated messages say medicine is ready and when we make the journey there, it isn’t available. Always making us go to the other vets even though it’s twice the distance for us. Will be leaving and finding a new vets.

Magda our vet was gentle and caring with my cats vaccination and helped me understand how to Lee in healthy going forward. Negative experience: A lot different to my last visit... Took my dog in 10 days ago and was told she was having a phantom pregnancy. Got some Meds and booked a follow up. At the follow up I explained all the symptoms to a new vet prior to the meds and after the meds and was then invited to diagnose the problem myself? So, out of pocket and still don't know what's wrong with my dog, as the pregnancy has gone but still has symptoms.

Fantastic experience: Every time I visit this clinic my pets are treated with love and respect. Everyone is courteous and the waiting times are minimal. My two cats are so happy and comfortable whenever they visit.

Fantastic experience: Been using Mayow for years. Had the shock today of our dog being hit by a car. Thankfully he was OK, I was able to call Mayow and the immediately reserved a time for the medical team to check him over - they prioritized a potential emergency. The lovely reception Toni and Vanessa were great and gave our boy extra treats to help him recover from the shock of it all.

Toni and Vanessa on reception were welcoming and kind, and Holly the nurse was so good with us for a slightly complicated treatment plan and needle training, answering all our questions and being patient and compassionate. Fantastic experience: Had another great experience at Mayow vet with our very anxious/aggressive dog. Our vet Magda made the experience very calm and enjoyable and it was all over without any fuss. Always a pleasure to speak to their helpful friendly receptionists such as Toni and Vanessa to round off the visit!

Fantastic experience: My cats have been going here for years for different small things, but I recently adopted a new cat and got her sprayed, I was quite worried but I found Toni really reassuring and she goes out her way too make you feel less stressed. Thank you <3 The vet was amazing also, and explained the after care really well, and did a great job on the surgery. Also thanks to Leila who is also helpful and caring! Honestly think the service here just keeps getting better and better every time I visit!

Fantastic experience: Took our small dog Bobby in for some dental work. Staff were excellent, treatment was superb, would never have known that Bobby had 12 teeth removed. Toni in reception was amazing taking the time to talk to my disabled daughter making her feel welcome. Keep up the good work.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been with this vet for 8 years and the service is fantastic. The receptionists are always so friendly and helpful and take a genuine interest in my cat. Today was just a general check up but I’ve had to go in an emergency previously and they went above and beyond to help. My cat is happy and healthy thanks to them.

Fantastic experience: Upon seeing my hamster Pigeon was peeing blood this morning I was in floods of tears. I immediately rang the vet - I cried on phone when booking appointment, I cried at reception when arriving (Leila & Toni were incredibly kind - offering me tissues, tea, and even made me smile), and I cried in exam room. EVERYONE was kind, patient, understanding, and genuine. Some might say Pigeon is just a hamster, but he’s been my fluffy friend for very nearly two years. If the meds don’t work, I know Pigeon will be respected and made to feel comfortable. Thank you xx

Fantastic experience: The whole team at Mayow vets are wonderful, warm, caring and friendly. I have to bring Moose in every month for his painkilling injection and he gets lots of attention and love from the staff. Moose loves his visits , mostly because of the treats !! This makes both mine and his experience a positive one which is fundamental when having to come every month. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Well done Mayow
