Fantastic experience: Lovely vets, nurses and reception staff. They have suggested cheaper options for expensive prescriptions and provide great alternative options such as accupuncture.

Fantastic experience: 3rd trip to Animal clinic today for cats castration. I am still blown away with what an amazing vets this is. Today I didn’t get the vets name but it was the lady with pink hair and she was so knowledgable and attentive. Explained everything so thoroughly and spend lots of time making sure I was aware of the after care required following the operation. Was even available for a quick call when I got home to answer a question on keeping the cat collar on. I really think all the staff at this vet and the facility are absolutely wonderful. An absolute pleasure to know they are looking after my pet. They even seem like they really care and connect with the animals character. I’m so glad I found this vet practise. What peace of mind to know my pet will always have the best treatment possible and is well cared for and looked after when with them. THANK YOU!!!

I would have no hesitation recommending the clinic It’s easy to park (private car park) which is unheard of in London and the clinic is spotlessly clean. The receptionist is lovely the nurses are lovely and the vets are superb.

Fantastic experience: We’ve been taking our cats here for a couple of years now and every visit has been a great experience. We’re always greeted with a friendly face, which instantly puts us at ease. The vet we always see is Nicki, who we absolutely love — she’s kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares. She takes such wonderful care of our Liza, and we wouldn’t trust her with anyone else. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: Great staff and excellent service, let down by poor execution of the petplan service. I have had continual problems getting drugs posted to me regularly and on-time. The practice needs to sort this out. Despite pushing and selling this service, the actual admin overhead for me is worse now than it was before! I have revised my original review to reflect the continual problems with petplan and posting drugs. If only this was sorted out, I would be happy - but I'm given a bigger headache than ever!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this vet for hamsters. Dr Linda has treated several of my hamsters, including performing surgery on one of them. She really listens to your concerns and treats your hamsters with respect.

Negative experience: Sadly not a great experience the 2 times we went there with our puppy. We were looking forward to the clinic and happy to see all the great reviews. Sadly the team seems a bit all over the place and made us wait for 30+mins from our original appointment time to then in the end give us a different clients dog booklet with their vaccination stamps in. Our puppy got her weight taken and we were in communication about getting a de-worming treatment, for which the team told us it will be ready at our next visit with the same vet (2 weeks later). When we arrived at the appointment we were taken care of by a nurse (not the vet we booked with) who told us that we can’t get the de-worming from her and who didn’t give us the vaccine stamps from that visit. In total we’ve waited for almost 2 months to get that de-worming prescription for our puppy and never heard from the clinic. When I emailed them that I bought our own treatment by a recommendation of a friend, they only replied that they will remove the request for us, not even an apology for taking so long and not getting back to us since that last visit. I really do hope that there is something they will do about this and that we can return to the clinic with a better experience next time, but so far the communication has been very disappointing.

Fantastic experience: We took our 6 month old cavapoo puppy in to be spayed this week. The team were lovely, helpful and very friendly as always. They took great care of our puppy and kept us informed. Such a great veterinarian practice and glad she is VIP member.

Fantastic experience: A warm and welcoming place. My beloved cat Whiskey, 18 years old and suddenly very poorly, turned out to be suffering from kidney failure. The vet and her assistant were tender and sympathetic to us both. My questions about different possibilities were answered patiently, and when it became apparent that the best option for Whiskey was for her to be euthanised there and then, it was done with extreme compassion and sensitivity. We were unrushed, I was allowed private time with her and access to a box of tissues. Their sympathy for my loss was comforting, and their observation that she had been fortunate to live such a long and healthy life, with no medical intervention also helped. I have had 5 cats across the decades and experienced 4 animal clinics. This has by far been the best of them. Thank you so much for making such a sad loss also a strangely special farewell.

Fantastic experience: I recently took my dog Benji for surgery, and I couldn’t be happier with the care he received. Dr. Linda is incredibly skilled, gentle, and professional, Benji’s surgery went perfectly, and his recovery has been amazing. The nurses were so sweet and caring, and the receptionist was just as kind and helpful. Everyone made the whole experience calm and reassuring. I’m genuinely very pleased with everything, and I would highly recommend Dr. Linda and the whole team to anyone who wants their pet to be treated with real care and expertise. Fantastic experience: Our 9-year-old cat named Cersei recently started having discharge from her behind 2 weeks ago, which made me and my partner very anxious. I researched reliable vets in our area and found great feedback about the Animal Clinic, so I decided to book an appointment. I was lucky to get a same-day slot. We met Dr. Cameron, who was detailed, calm, and reassuring about our cat’s condition. He explained that her symptoms is related to pyometra, her uterus was infected and needed to be removed. He walked us through the procedure, costs, and after-care thoroughly. Helen, the receptionist, was empathetic and kind as well. Around 1:40 PM, I received a call letting us know that the procedure went well and that we could pick up our cat in an hour. The nurse with the lovely pink hair carefully explained all the post-operation recovery steps. The Animal Clinic is exceptional in their service—professional, compassionate, and truly commendable. We are very grateful for their care.

Fantastic experience: The reception was exceptionally clean and nice smelling. I appreciated that the waiting area was divided by types of pets. The receptionist Polly was very nice. The vet (Linda I believe) explained everything calmly to me as a first time pet owner / vet visitor. They treated my scared kitten with lots and lots love and patience. Prices were reasonable and explained upfront. Very happy!

Positive experience: I went in expecting to pay 70.00 ended up paying 204.00. I wasnt informed of the price before they gave treatments, good job i had the money to pay. Also i wasnt informed of potential side effects of one of the treatments and was so worried when cat became unwell.

Fantastic experience: We've been with the Animal Clinic for a little over a year now. They are absolutely brilliant, looking after our two cats with professionalism, friendliness and empathy. They are very understanding when we worry about little things and have provided expert advice and referrals to other services when required. I strongly recommend this vet clinic for your pets if you're looking for somewhere with fair prices, who listens to you and treats your pet like their own. Wish I could give more stars!

Fantastic experience: Having rescued a rabbit without any thought or knowledge on how to look after them, it was suggested that I visit Margit and the team at the Animal Clinic as they are 'Rabbit' friendly Veterinarians. I have not been disappointed. After checking my first - Billy - and explaining what was required in looking after such a house bunny, jabs done, I took him home. Unbeknown to me, I thought rabbits enjoyed eating bear grass; they do not. Having realised something was terribly wrong with him - he was pushing his head on the door and lying on the floor, flaccid, I took him to Margit. We thought he was going to die. Miraculously after numerous injections and being told that he may not survive, we were both surprised that he did. You see, rabbits have a very poor digestive system and suffer from gut stasis. I didn't realise Bear Grass creates gas that builds up in the gut. The rabbit won't eat and if they don't eat, they die. That was in 2009. Since then I have had numerous house buns and each one has been cared for by Margit and her team: Mary, Riai, I could go to at least four other vets in our area but prefer to travel to see Margit. She was patient, knowledgeable and understanding. She didn't treat you like an idiot if you don't know something and her team are as professional and compassionate as she is. 2023 update : Since I wrote this, Margit has left the practice to go back to Austria to care for her ill mother. I was bereft. The Animal Clinic has gone through a transitional phase which - for me - was a form of grief. Clinical staff left and new staff came and went and to be honest it was upsetting. RVC Exotic Vets are hard to find as are good Veterinary nursing and reception staff. I had considered looking elsewhere but I had a relationship with the Animal Clinic that I didn't want to change and to be honest, I'm glad I did. Linda Timossi isn't Margit. She is Linda Timossi. Educated, thorough, funny and passionate about small mammals. She - like Margit - knows her stuff. No one likes change but this one is actually rather good.

Fantastic experience: We registered our Labrador retrievers with The Animal Clinic mainly because of the exceptional care and professionalism they showed when we had to say goodbye to our Golden Retriever years ago. It was a heartbreaking time, and their compassion left a lasting impression. Our boys are growing fast, so I pop in every couple of weeks to check their weight and make sure I’m feeding them the right amount. Everyone who works there is incredibly friendly and welcoming — even when our black lab gets a bit too excited and has the occasional accident on the floor! They never complain (at least not in front of us ). Would I recommend this vets? Absolutely. In fact, my parents switched to them when they got their dog, purely based on our experience. Don’t bother looking for another vet in the area — this is the place to go if you want the best care for your pets.

Negative experience: AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Wish I could go back to the day and did absolutely nothing, still would be better off visiting here. My kitten has spots in her outer ear and scratched to scab, and I took her here on the day when I noticed (Tuesday 29th July). The vet gave her flea treatment and an ear cleanser (although there were no signs of ear mites or fleas, as the vet also acknowledged), telling me to use it from next day while putting coconut oil on the scab. That’s it, and charged me £124. As a first time cat owner I trusted the vet 100% but still waited until that Saturday for the ear cleanser to avoid irritation and OVERNIGHT from Sunday morning my kitten’s ear became this traumatised — I don’t believe many cats have had it this bad. Later I realised how utterly unbelievable it is to give a 5-month old kitten nothing else but such harsh ear cleanser when her ear was already bleeding with open cuts?? Had to then visit another vet three times in a row for steroid and antibiotics, but my cat shouldn’t have been through so much pain at the first place. It deeply hurts me to see her suffering for another month… until today she’s still not fully recovered. Let alone the vet was so rude — warning, she’ll stare straight at you for many seconds in silence if you said something she doesn’t like. In my case, it was “it’s a girl” with a smile when I misheard her saying “sweet boy”. Follow up: this clinic’s definitions of “spoken to you” “answered your queries” and “explaining the reasons” are very different than normal people — I got an email following my review above yesterday, that’s it. “Shame that you are still not happy”? Not sure how exactly am I supposed to be happy?

Fantastic experience: I brought my two kittens for neutering and spaying and all the staff were brilliant. I recieved a call on the day to give me an update on their condition as promised, medication and instructions. They always answer the phone promptly and give you all the information you need. I'm very glad I chose the Animal Clinic, please keep up the good work!

Fantastic experience: The Animal Clinic is the best practice in the area. There are other vets closer to where I live but it's worth travelling for the quality of service The Animal Clinic provides. Outstanding staff (vets/nurses/receptionists), super friendly, empathetic and they're a pleasure to visit ... for me anyway!

Negative experience: I personally did not have a great experience with this practice, however reading other reviews people seem happy with them. I feel that when it came to my rabbits they were very blasé and very slow in getting back to me with my enquiry. After moving my rabbits out of this vets and into another I realise they are also ridiculously over priced.

Negative experience: I had a visit today and vet Linda examined my cat. She did note that my cat is nauseous and injected anti sickness medication. She started to prescribe a lot of medication for her and I don’t feel it would be very beneficial for the cat, like medication to reduce pain, mainly used for epilepsy, seizures and anxiety and my cat had very little pain left as it has improved overnight. I told vet, that it is very difficult for me to administer medication to my cat but she just shrug her shoulders and sort of not her problem. I was hoping she will examine, inject some hydration anti sickness ok but now I have 3 different treatments, that I have to administer orally myself, cost me a lot of money and one medication gabapentin £33 for pain, I don’t see the point giving her as it does not address the issue just masking it. I felt, that vet just tried to sell as much medication as possible with the least effort as I felt she is a bit scared herself to inject medication as the cat hisses so she just leaves it to me to administer and deal with it. I paid 147 pounds, got medication, that I don’t know if I will be able to administer as I have tried and failed miserable as my cat moves her head and does not open her mouth.

Fantastic experience: Excellent service. My Pomeranian Titan was neutered today at the Animal Clinic, Blackheath. The vet was thorough in explaining everything and answered questions of concern etc., they were very prompt in calling to let me know that surgery went well and what time to pick him up. Thank you to each of you who cared for my Titan today you are awesome . The one thing I would like to point out is that having to travel over an hour away is not a problem at all, but I needed to use the toilet and one lady at reception showed me where it was, whilst going to open the door another lady said you can’t use the toilet it’s only for staff. So where is the customers toilet, there isn’t one??? The First Lady gestured to me it’s ok go use it. My point is if customers like me travel such a long distance or even a short distance actually, why would you not have a toilet for customers use??? For me this is totally unacceptable and you should accommodate toilet facilities for your customers.

Fantastic experience: We are new to Eltham and I hadn't registered my dog before she got sick. The Animal Clinic were SO helpful. The reception got me an appointment quickly. The reception staff were so friendly and helpful. And gave Kopper lots of attention! The vet was great, gave time to listen and explained what was wrong and treatment. She was lovely with kopper who became relaxed and unstressed. Highly recommend The Animal Clinic. So glad they came up on my Google search. Sadly, we had to go back as kopper is still ill. Everyone is so friendly and I really don't mind waiting over the appointment time as the vets give time to everyone they see so that's well worth waiting for.

Fantastic experience: The Animal Clinic helped us to navigate the final weeks with our beloved Pintxo. They were extremely warm, caring and clear in their approach and made a very challenging time slightly more bearable. Fantastic experience: I found poor Hector the tortoise with a foot missing. Having looked up reptile vets in the area I took him to the animal clinic. I’m so pleased I did. Great care and life saving treatment has been given in a professional and caring way. Unfortunately Hector had to have his leg amputated but will remain mobile with a fitted wheel

Fantastic experience: Boris is my adopted cat from Manchester and has been registered with the Animal Clinic since December 2022. This clinic has been amazing and supported us with registration, appointments and queries. Boris is now microchipped, immunised and gets his preventative meds regularly I took Boris in a week ago as he had a rash on his belly and he kept licking it, making it worse. Got an appointment quickly - reception staff offered me a canceled appointment - and the consultation with the Vet offered us all options. We followed the advice and now the rash is gone! I am so happy to have you as my Vet, Animal clinic! Last year I lost a cat and I had terrible trust issues with the previous vet since You managed to restore this trust and just want to say Thank you for your professionalism, expertise and kindness. Fantastic experience: My cat received wonderful, attentive care at this clinic. The staff were not only helpful, but also very friendly.

Negative experience: I had a very disappointing experience at this clinic. The nurse and receptionist openly expressed their dislike for cats, loudly stating that they are ‘dog people’ and that they ‘dont like cats.’ Even worse, they made negative comments about my cat right in front of me, speaking loudly under the clinic’s cameras, with other staff and patients present. They also made inappropriate and offensive remarks, stereotyping Chinese and Egyptian people love doing animal experiments. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable, especially in a veterinary setting where all animals and owners should be treated with care and respect. If you are a cat owner, I strongly advise against bringing your pet here, as the staff—particularly Linda (Surgeon) and Saskia (Receptionist)—clearly lack compassion for cats. If you are comfortable entrusting your pet’s care to individuals who openly dislike cats, that is your choice—but personally, I found this experience deeply upsetting, and I feel terrible for any cat that has to go through this. Additionally, if you notice staff with dog photos on the staff wall, you may want to reconsider your appointment for your cat, as their bias could affect the treatment your pet receives. Truly unprofessional and discriminatory. Avoid this place at all costs.

Negative experience: Absolute scammers! Tried charging me £6500 for an intestine blockage which was done by another vet for £700. My pet had 4 visits back to back and they didn’t do anything but advised me on the same thing they said the day before. Gave my pet anti sickness instead of addressing the actual issue. Kept telling me to return the next day if I had not seen any changes but every time I returned. I was given the same advice and my pet remained ill. I paid £125 every visit. They are very clever with their tricks and tactics. They also, gave misleading information to my insurance making my claim invalid. I urge you to stay away from these people.

Negative experience: It was very easy to get an appointment. Very friendly staff and very friendly vet. UPDATE ON THE REVIEW: You guys really should check your price list. Cutting one nail just one nail should not cost 70 pounds! no treating the paw, no disinfection, just cutting one single nail. I stand by my other comments about how friendly the staff and the vets are but please, for the love of god, check your price list!

Fantastic experience: Went in with a sick kitty, and the vet Brendan who saw us was an absolute ray of sunshine. He knew exactly what was wrong straight off the bat. The whole practice is an absolute delight :)

Fantastic experience: Such a wonderful practice, they’ve helped my kitty through illness, routine checkups, and dental appointments! Update: Had an appointment today with Brendan Ruban and he was easily the best vet I’ve ever seen. He immediately knew what the problem was with my girl, gave her the medicine she needed, and came up with a treatment plan. I was so reassured and felt so cared for, and would trust my cat with him time and time again.
