Hendon PDSA Pet Hospital: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Great experience at PDSA Hendon. The staff were lovely and really looked after our cat Oscar. They explained everything and were so friendly. The reception staff were so nice. Big thank you to all the staff
Negative experience: I was there last night, with robin Yorkshire terry Because he couldn't breathe properly Today he passed away. As soon as we walk in you as for £25 Before you even seen the animals. Then move for the medication Robin couldn't breathe, you done test saying robin had fluid on his lungs. Most vets would have drained it but you people gave him . Medication, hello for what. We were told yesterday this will help Robin was awake all night with his breathing. Today. His dead Shame on you ,all you care about is money I'm going to expose you.. All you care about is money I have gone on. Other channels for vets They all say we would off drained This is family Because your a charity you don't give a dame Just charity worrsst place to take your pets to
Fantastic experience: I had a really poorly dog phoned pdsa and booked him in as an emergency can't thank them enough helpful polite staff helped all the way, received a great service looked after my dog and kept me up to date the whole way.
Fantastic experience: Lovely staff, kind and helpful, thank you so much for your support.
Negative experience: Our vet was extremely dismissal. It seriously feels like PDSA vets genuinely don't care about the actual wellbeing of your pet. Not only that, our dog got an infection after a visit, that is still present, which goes to show how ignorant and unsanitary they are. You could shove a dying cat in their face and they wouldn't care.
Fantastic experience: An owner was talking to me and proudly saying she took 3 holidays a year to Majorca. How nice she can afford that but uses the PDSA. Wish I could afford one holiday! Hard to get quick appointment but they probably have very high demand.
Negative experience: Terrible experience. Absolutely unacceptable. This pdsa is filthy, disorganized, and completely unprofessional. The staff are rude, careless, and shockingly indifferent toward animals. It honestly feels like they don’t care whether the animals are in pain or not. There is zero compassion, zero responsibility, and zero respect—both for pets and their owners. Basic hygiene is clearly not a priority here, and the overall environment is stressful and unsafe. I would never trust these people with any animal’s life. If you actually care about your pet, stay far away from this place. One of the worst veterinary experiences I’ve ever had.
Negative experience: It states online the pdsa will do emergency appointments for any animal with life threatening injuries but when I called the receptionist was very hostile and said because I wasn’t registered she cannot help and then referred me to another vet she most likely knew couldn’t help either. These people have no heart honestly
Negative experience: Receptionist is absolutely disrespectful I called a few months ago for my cat it was clearly an emergency when I explained the issue she very nonchalantly told me it wasn’t an emergency and put the phone down without a goodbye, I called back immediately off no caller ID and the woman pretended it wasn’t her as if I wasn’t just speaking to her 2 minutes before… I have another emergency due to my cat being attacked I’ve been calling since 9am it’s been an hour and not one PDSA has responded. These people do not care. I understand it’s a charity but you still need some sort of professionalism.
Fantastic experience: The PDSA pet Hospital in London is one very beautiful place to take your pet if it is I'll and not well .and the staff are very welcome and friendly and helpful and caring .
Fantastic experience: Great service, very friendly staff
Fantastic experience: Great service always very helpful and supportive.
Fantastic experience: All staff are so committed to helping animals wherever they can. Ok wait times can be long but they do what they can.
Negative experience: This place is so small. I was waiting over an hour for my cats to be seen. The receptionist was rude and was horrible at her job. Wasted my time and my money, never going again!
Fantastic experience: A blessing for those who can't afford pet care. Sometimes a long wait, but that's to be expected. Easy to find.
Negative experience: Best time to go is 1st thing in the morning before 9AM as it gets really busy and the staff get overwhelmed. They do their best but offer a limited service & advice could be more proactive
Negative experience: As much as I appreciate the PDSA, and value the fact there is a charity vet for people like me who need it, I have had some bad experiences. Recently, they advised me to put down my cat as she was brought in with heart failure and breathing problems, I’m young and was there by myself, already scared, I was given little information and told I could either put her through a draining procedure that she would not survive, or to euthanise her. After a lot of tears and distress they then told me they didn’t have time to do either, and that I could try to take her home with medicine. After some days she seemed to improve and i took her to Medivet, who gave her medication . Her condition has improved a lot, and though she still has heart issues she is happy and comfortable at home, and not in pain. If I had listened to the PDSA, she would have been put down or given an unnecessary procedure, only prevented by them ‘not having the time’. I’ve now been able to spend four months with her at home. This is the second time the PDSA have advised euthanasia when it hasn’t seemed fully necessary . Again, as much as I greatly appreciate their service, I would GREATLY ADVISE getting a second opinion if told to put your pet down by this practice.
Fantastic experience: My cat has an emergency and they did amazing job thank you
Positive experience: Had an absolute terrible experience at this PDSA when a worker called Jasmine worked there. She neglected my cat. Think she has left now&my recent experience has been brilliant. Paid alot of money at medivet muswell hill to treat my cat&was given poor care so went back to the pdsa&they have been brilliant
Fantastic experience: A great place that looked after my injured cat very well, the professionals ,are beyond amazing and I would recommend to donate to keep this fantastic charity and hospital running. If you love animals, this is a place to donate to ❤️
Negative experience: Great if you want your pets put to sleep over any minor issue they werent interested in helping unfortunately. They were more interested in putting to sleep cheaper than treating i suppose horrible experience.
Negative experience: Absolutely shocking by disgusting practice was told to let my cat die as they can’t do anything at all shocking
Negative experience: went there 8 October I was disappointed about the attitude of one of the receptionist who was very rude and abrupt if she dosent like serving the public she should find a different job even one star is to much to give
Fantastic experience: I sadly had to put my 14 year old dog to sleep and the staff were so lovely, the vet explained everything to me so there was no shocks , millie passed peacefully and surrounded by love
Fantastic experience: The PDSA is necessary for our three Chihuahua pups and the service here is wonderful and professional. We always will give as much of a contribution as possible.... it's well worth the support. Thank you. After my little female chihuahua puppy needed a toe amputation, she recovered super quick and is back to normal ahead of schedule thanks to the advice given
Fantastic experience: Amazing place, lovely reception staff, helpful and kind, also know there usuals and provide amazing service
Fantastic experience: Came here yesterday with my dog as she’s unwell. The staff are great and helpful. Meds given and sent on our way. Would definitely recommend.
Negative experience: Less than one star......Absolutely appalled with the treatment received at pdsa Hendon.. called at 9am as an emergency because my dog was having breathing problems, was given a 4pm appointment, and then not seen on time, when she was seen they said she's hurt her back disregarding her breathing problems, and sent us away with some painkillers, 4 days later we phoned back as another emergency as she was getting worse, without doing any tests in a cold manner they suggested that we have her put to sleep, when we didn't want that they sent us away with heart meds and diuretics, for us to later find out no problem with her heart..they said to come back in a couple of weeks, but by 1 week she had lost a stone in weight so we went back again.. for them to give us steroids on top of the other meds.. they kept saying we don't do the relevant tests you should go to a proper vet if you want that ,we still advise you to put her to sleep.. we did go to a proper vets that did tests and said no heart problems stop the meds..said she needed oxygen therapy and to contact pdsa for that, phoned pdsa as an emergency and they said we want files from your vet then we will call you back, they didnt call till 2pm the next day after my vet sent files at 9.30 am the previous day...so then went back to pdsa they wanted to keep her in to do xrays. But before we left her again it was suggested.."we can either do these xrays or end it now because we dont think shes going to make it" When they called us to explain ,we asked if they would forward info onto our vets as a .atter of emergency, to which she rudely and abruptly replied "listen if theres any trust issues going on here, then I suggest this is not the vets for you, are you taking her straight to thecother vet? As your dog is not likely to survive the night. " we went to pick up our dog , the dog was handed to me and nothing said..I had to ask if I should be continuing the medication, she said hold on ill have to go ask.. she then came back to say to cary on with the steroids only, we asked what's going to happen now to which she replied I'm sorry there's nothing else we can do.. I thought this was a training hospital and as such shouldn't they welcome the opportunity to compare notes with proper vets.. please dont trust these people with your loved ones .. They may be a charity but what good is discounted treatment if the treatment is either next to useless, or misdiagnosed
Positive experience: PDSA offers good facilities and the staff are very polite and responsible. However, they strongly encourage donations, which can feel a bit uncomfortable. If someone had the financial ability to donate, they probably wouldn’t be bringing their pet here in the first place. Overall, the service is caring, but the donation pressure could be reconsidered.
Fantastic experience: Great service, friendly staff, very fast dealing of our problem. Highly recommended
Negative experience: I am deeply disappointed with the care my dog, Bella, received at Hendon PDSA Pet Hospital. Bella was only 3 years old when she was admitted on Monday, 1st September, with serious symptoms of vomiting and passing blood. She tragically passed away at 2am on the 2nd of September. Despite how critical her condition was, only basic monitoring was carried out. No blood tests were performed, no additional diagnostics suggested, and I was never advised about the option of a blood transfusion. Considering Bella weighed only 3kg and had already lost a significant amount of fluids and blood a blood transfusion should have been offered as part of her care. The resources and effort felt very limited. If I had been given clearer information and a proper second diagnosis, I could have made better decisions for Bella and perhaps avoided this heartache and pain. Instead, I feel she was neglected, and as a result, her life was cut short far too soon. I would not want another pet owner to go through what I went through at Hendon PDSA Pet Hospital.
Negative experience: Incredibly unprofessional receptionist, rude and zero people skills considering the job she is in where people are nervous to begin with. My partner enquired about the price of the procedure this morning and the receptionist went away to talk to the manager. She came back, instead of calling me over to speak to me, just said infront of everyone in the waiting room, "I dunno, you have to pay." An just shrugged her shoulders at the same time. Appalling lack of professionalism
Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, good helpful doctors. Always full...
Positive experience: Very good place only complaint waiting 1/2 hour on phone when l was ringing up reception, allso bought in some donations of blankets of an items when we rang up they said bring to side door bang on it an somebody would take donations somebody came to door an talked to us in a very abrupt manner about banging on door that's what we were told todo
Negative experience: Worst vets ever, they don't care about animals at Hendondon, they wanted to put my cat down, they told me something wrong with his brain, then my cat had a xray and they told me he fractured his pelvic, they said to me four times to put my cat down,I got a second view from another vets and they said he has not fractured his pelvic and all he needed was rest and pain meds,if I listened to the pdsa I could of lost my cat for no reason, this vet is not fit for purpose ,how many animals have they put down for no reason, my cat now is running around back to normal,I will never take any of my animals there again.
Fantastic experience: Such a friendly team, this is a very popular veterinary pet hospital. With kind and caring staff. It is a charity organisation which helps a lot of people with sick pets. Who would not be able to visit a private veterinary due to the very high costs.
Fantastic experience: This vet have saved my cats life twice now, the staff are very friendly and supportive especially when your distressed because of your sick pet. I would 100% recommend bring your furry babies here
Fantastic experience: Excellent charity for a small donation they diagnosed my pet and provided medication.
Fantastic experience: The staff are Very friendly and professional. Sitting/waiting area is little bit crowded. This is a charity vet clinic not a private clinic.
Fantastic experience: Just a big thank you to all at PDSA Hospital in Hendon for taking care of my little companion they done a amazing job. He’s doing very well.
Fantastic experience: Staff and vets were lovely, even the pets were well behaved... always a sweet experience getting our furry family member checked up.
Negative experience: Absolutely devastated and deeply disappointed. I brought my 3-week-old kittens to this vet — who claim to be a charity — after noticing signs of upper respiratory infections. Their eyes were open but clearly infected. I paid for treatment (nothing was free) and only received general antibiotics. I mentioned their eyes, but no eye treatment was given at that time. Over the next few weeks, I was called back again and again — I ended up going nearly five times. On the second visit, they finally gave me eye antibiotics and told me to return in five days. I did everything they said, hoping my kittens would be okay. But on the final visit, I was told it was too late — all three of my kittens are now permanently blind. I was blamed for being “too late,” even though I brought them in early and their eyes weren’t even sealed at the start. They just weren’t treated properly. This clinic claims to be a charity, but I honestly feel they cared more about getting repeated payments from me than saving my kittens’ health. I kept paying, kept hoping, and now I’m left heartbroken with three blind kittens. No real help, just false hope. Please be careful — don’t be fooled by the word charity. I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone
Fantastic experience: The vets at PDSA really care about your pet. And I've never seen them turn a pet away. They are a charity and depend heavily on donations. They help people who are on benefits and have pets. You are allowed 1 free pet, but you should give a donation then the others are concession. I love the staff at Hendon they really do care about animals. Not like these private vets that are only in it for the money.
Fantastic experience: The staff are always amazing, kind and caring. As it is a charity they obviously struggle with having enough money to do everything but do absolutely everything they possibly can to help your animals. Pet parents need to donate more money when attending, instead of getting takeaway coffee and their nails done, you choose to have a pet, take responsibility to pay and look after it properly. The staff can't work for free and they can't afford up to date equipment on thin air. The PDSA provide incredible service and I am always grateful for all of their support, wisdom and help they give to my fur baby x
Negative experience: Please do not go here my dog got sick and went here. Not expirence vet examined my dog and said there was fluid in your dog's belly and around the heart and said let's do autonasia I asked why don't you drain the fluid she said we can't do she give me pills 3 in the morning and 3 in the evening my dog died after 4 days I researched the medicine she give me it is steroids steroid medicines can kill dogs and it killed my dog horrible not filling good I'm crying every day i lost my best friend
Negative experience: Receptionist was very rude and miserable. Very unprofessional when a receptionist is the first point of contact. I have worked previously as a veterinary receptionist for over two years and I will tell you that if I behaved the way she behaved, I would have been sacked ! All customers were doing is asking her questions and not being rude to her at all, and she responded in a very rude and snappy way. The vet we was however was nice. But honestly just the experience with the receptionist is offputting and makes me not want to come back.
Fantastic experience: There are god sent to have staff friendly and very helpful I will tell everybody if you need to use them be kind open your heart and you will see the good day too give if you could the more the merrier for our animals can't tell us about their health problems and this is why the PDSA is a very positive productive caring responsible thank you
Negative experience: Recently had to put our dog to sleep. Did not experience any real sympathy, kindness or warmth from the vet who called us to administer the injection to our beloved dog made the experience a whole lot worse!
Negative experience: 1 Star Review I'm deeply disappointed and heartbroken with the care my 13-month-old kitten received. He's showing early signs of gingivitis—a painful and potentially serious condition. A simple dental cleaning could help, but it was denied because I was told other animals were in worse condition and needed priority. I was advised to go to a private vet for treatment, which I simply cannot afford—that’s why I turned to the PDSA in the first place. Instead, I was told to give him anti-inflammatory medication long-term, which could seriously damage his organs over time. The final suggestion? "Bring him back when he gets worse." How is that an acceptable standard of care? If you truly love your pets, I strongly urge you to consider going elsewhere.
Fantastic experience: Staff is very good and kind despite the stress of an extremely busy place . Waiting time can take up to one hour even with appointments. Place is clean and big . Be aware that they don’t have parking spaces .
Fantastic experience: Friendly staff , clean , very helpful , saved my cat , people please donate to this charity, they well deserve it
Fantastic experience: Great staff carried out an amputation on my cat that went successfully, very thankful for the vets there.
Negative experience: No stars is what I'd give.... disgusting treatment provided by this practice- I was told my pet is discharged from their care, as a result my babey passed away afew hours after they released her and point blank refused to take her back into their care, or keep her admitted for treatment/oxygen etc Avoid!
Fantastic experience: They are amazing! My dog had to stay in overnight and I was extremely worried and they was very reassuring and kind!
Negative experience: Terrible experience, always long wait times and they put our dwarf rabbit down without asking us after they botched his eye surgery. Would not recommend!
Fantastic experience: Very excellent pet hospital they give your pet or animal the care they need and it's an affordable price for those who's on a low budget and need to treat their pet for low costs. The stuff are very friendly and helpful
Negative experience: I am absolutely devastated by the experience at this place. I trusted them with the care of my beloved cat, and they failed us in the most heartbreaking way. Despite my cat showing signs of distress, they seemed to downplay the seriousness of the situation. The staff was unprofessional, and the communication was terrible. I wasn’t kept informed about her condition, and when I tried to ask questions, I was given vague, unhelpful answers. To make matters worse, they neglected to provide the necessary treatment, and my cat passed away under their watch. I’m beyond upset and heartbroken. This hospital not only failed to save her, but they also showed a lack of empathy and responsibility. I wouldn't trust them with the care of any animal. Please, for the sake of your pet, do your research and find a better place. My experience was traumatic, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
Negative experience: A disastrous place. Heaving with people and dogs and cats in a relatively small waiting area. The Vet insisted on my Staffy wearing a muzzle despite the fact he as never bitten any person or dogs in 14 years. She also falsely claimed it isn't possible to carry out an operation to remove a lipoma on his leg. I went to France to get a second opinion and the Vet there said yes the operation can be carried out satisfactorily. the real issue the French Vet said is that he is an old Dog and there is the prospect of him not recovering from the operation.
Negative experience: The staff is extremely rude. I have booked an appointment with my cat and was late because of traffic which led to the lady at the reception being extremely rude towards us and rather than helping and rebooking the appointment she started lecturing me on what I should’ve done. Very unprofessional.
Fantastic experience: They quite literally saved my dog’s life. Will always be thankful. The team is very attentive and helpful
Negative experience: Took our cats in needing dentals, they informed the wait time would be several months. One was free, the other was on the discounted treatment. The one for discounted treatment wasn't able to wait until the booked surgery so ended up having to go private. PDSA vet had quoted us over £370 and said she would possibly have to be under twice as so many teeth needed to removed. The private vet charged much less (£340 which included pre-op blood work and medication post op + 2 free post-op check ups) and only removed 4 teeth and we're able to save the rest! Of course it's good to have this option for people who can't afford private treatment but at the same time this experience has made us second guess past diagnoses from the PDSA, especially as we have in the past euthanised 2 pets under their advisement.
Fantastic experience: Amazing people doing amazing job. All stuff is helpful . I trusted them to keep my kitten safe and they did great. I recommend
Fantastic experience: Something can get very busy, depending on how many emergencies they have. But they are doing a fantastic job there and all the staff are super nice
Fantastic experience: So professional and reassuring from the moment you call appointments/ reception . A great team of dedicated people working hard to keep our pets healthy and safe. My dog was thoroughly checked scanned diagnosed and treated by a caring responsible vet. The prescription was made easy to understand and administer. The best care and after care my dog has had.
Negative experience: Rude/patronising unhelpful receptionist no care for customer service or to even ask basic customer/Pet information to show care, it’s supposed to be a charity run pet hospital for those that really need the help yet people get treated like they shouldn’t be there and get adviced to go elsewhere and pay for the service the receptionist talks to you like go pay we can’t help you get looked down on if your in need of charity, also on they’re website everything is directed to book online or call, yet when you call or try to book online it’s impossible when they do ring they advice you to pop in anytime to make an appointment or be seen, and when you go in the receptionist wants nothing to do with you and tells you to go private. Oh I forgot to add when you leave the building the stare at you form behind the screen with a smirk there’s no such thing as charity or help.
Fantastic experience: I want to thank all the staff that fixed Kleber’s Tail, Neutered and Microchip him greatly, I see the people that work here do their job with love, I wish god bless you all so much! Thank you so much
Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing they saved my dogs life, fast and very empathetic....im so grateful for you guys, Kandi's mum
Fantastic experience: The staff at PDSA in hendon were amazing I had to get my dog put to sleep and they were so caring and compassionate. They were very professional i would highly recommend this place. They were better than my usual vet.Well done to all staff at PDSA hendon you guys do a fantastic job x
Fantastic experience: I had an emergency on Boxing Day and was welcomed by a lovely nurse ( sorry I forgot to ask your name, blond young lady) and seen by a vet called Laura. My dog is quite difficult to handle but Laura was very understanding and handled her with love, compassion and with great professionalism. She went even further and book me an appointment for surgery the day after to get my dog out of pain quickly. I can say that I agree with some of the other reviews as some other vets there are not so great or compassionate people. Thank you Laura and nurse on duty today to keep PDSA score high ❤️
Negative experience: The veterian was abit abrupt and advised for my pet to be put down but I had to get a second opinion as I had a feeling there was other options to save my pet They did not do no tests i.e urine or blood test to see what it could be but they were quick to book my pet in to be put to sleep. Please try and do a little more for our dear pets I know there are budgets :(
Fantastic experience: Extremely hard working staff. Well done for what you do, it makes a massive impact on the animals and their owners.
Negative experience: Pdsa Hendon is extremely busy and we witness a poor jackrussel pass way in the waiting room, terrible for the poor owner. Our Rottweiler attended for large mass and was booked in for surgery, we donated over £100. However it depends which vet you get, most are so lovely, but the one we got was very rude. Nonetheless, we got a call after they anaesthetised her in informing us that they could not operate, they would not return our donation. When we collected her they gave us steroids and told us to wait for the mass to burst and bleed, in short she’s done. We started go fund me, contacted over 30 vets most of them were more interested in how much they could get, rather then the care of our Rottweiler. We decided on a vet out of London and the operation was successful, and we have our beautiful for Christmas. It appears the Pdsa are limited on what they can do be very careful and ensure to ask questions and get a second opinion
Fantastic experience: We had to take are little cat miley in, unfortunately they tried to help her, and took good care of her,but we had to put her to sleep, thank you for your help and the care you gave, also to the nurse that administrated the injection, you was kind caring and considering to our needs, thank you all again ,barrie and kerry mileys parents
Fantastic experience: Could not thank the staff enough for their support, and kindness they showed our family at the most difficult time of our lives of having to have our beautiful dog buddy to sleep, the staff explained everything to us, and couldn’t have been more supportive, definitely go above and beyond for animals ❤️
Fantastic experience: Angels on Earth! My baby girl broke all four bones in her right back leg. Thanks to you guys she will be able to run again soon. Great surgeons, vets, nurses and receptionist. I can’t thank you all enough for your care, help, kindness and support.
Fantastic experience: Wonderful caring service, who when I had no where else to go helped me immensely and with compassion. They showed my beloved family cat the dignity and respect she deserved in her final hours. The also recently help my poor dog as he had an allergic reaction.
Fantastic experience: Got an appointment quickly for my rabbit and the vets here were so lovely with him and kind. Very informative and helpful.
Fantastic experience: Such a friendly place to help out with your pets. I went on behalf of someone else for a poorly cat. The staff were really lovely and friendly and so willing to help. The reception area is small and was full so be prepared to wait. There was no free parking on site. However, there is a paybyphone area up the road you can park in.
Fantastic experience: Very friendly knowledgeable staff. If you book it’s a fast experience. Only a few parking spaces for payment. So don’t rely on parking. Best to go with someone so they can wait for you.
Fantastic experience: My little girl went in yesterday for spayed and hernia her operation went well so thankful to the vet and nurse that took care of her and special thank you to the young girl on reception yesterday afternoon she was so lovely and helpful Dior is back home recovering nicely
Fantastic experience: Fantastic experience with my dog, they treated me excellently, you can see the love the veterinarians have for animals, the lady at reception was super friendly, thank you very much for taking care of my dog, we love him very much!
Fantastic experience: The staff here went above and beyond to care for our dog. Sadly, he was too ill to save. their care was brilliant to the end, and we couldn't have asked for more from anyone.....Thank you
Negative experience: I called the surgery twice and told them that my dog had broken its leg. Both times, the receptionist said she couldn't hear me, which wasn't true because I called my mum and brother, and they said the network was fine. The woman at reception was extremely rude, and these people clearly don't care about your pets. The third time, she just hung up on me. I couldn't believe it.
Fantastic experience: Very good pet hospital the staff are wonderful there
Fantastic experience: My cat was very poorly so i brought him in as an emergency appointment he was hospitalised for 24 hours, the vets and staff took very good care of him and made sure he was much better. glad i came here Only downside is waiting time but this is understandable as there were so many walk inns and you can see they are trying their best
Fantastic experience: They are fantastic. Busy but I didn't have to wait too long. They are Godsent for people who love pets but can't afford vets
Negative experience: Our cat is currently in early kidney failure. The doctors immediately suggested euthanasia and ran no tests and made no efforts to help our cat. Today, they called us and told us to “get used to the idea of losing him” and have refused to take our cat in and put him on simple IV fluids as he’s severely dehydrated & we wanted to get him back on his feet. This is unexpected as we’ve previously brought in a very sick pet and she was treated very quickly, and with lots of dignity. If you value your pet’s life, go to a private hospital. This hospital let us down - as of two days now, my cat has passed away.
Negative experience: I was very overwhelmed when my cat suddenly fell sick (she’s since gotten better). I phoned PDSA Hendon as I was having financial difficulty and was advised to call them by my vets because they may be able to help instead. The woman on the phone was rude and blunt and just hung up when I told her I wasn’t on benefits. She was condescending and sarcastic, her tone was not well received by myself. She didn’t help and was not understanding. Customer service on the phone should have been better honestly. And reading reviews before leaving my own, they apparently don’t care for cats and disregard them in general. It’s not acceptable when people feel vulnerable to be so insincere and unsympathetic. It would be a totally different story if it were to be their own beloved pets. Disappointing experience.
Fantastic experience: Having visited a few times in the last couple months, I can't praise them enough or thank them enough for their help. Fantastic people always helpful. Literal life savers.
Negative experience: My poor kitten coco sadly passed away from surgery gone wrong here. They accidently cut his intestines while doing surgery on my 10 month old kitten. They never told me this had happened and he was slowly getting worse and suffering after surgery. I took him back to the vets 2 weeks after saying he was moving slow and not recovering as he was leaking fluid aswell and was given antibiotics for something he did not need which then his body could not handle and killed him a few days later. He was not checked properly as he would have needed another emergency surgery if they had noticed this was from the cut on his intestines they had made. When I took him back to the vet to try and save his life they said there was nothing they could do to try and save him. The vet had no compassion at all, never apologise for their mistakes during surgery with lead to his passing. The women on reception is extremely rude and these people do not care about your pets!! Especially cats I have seen. JUSTICE FOR COCO
Fantastic experience: Such a lovely vets cannot praise them more. Very kind and professional. I brought my XL bully in to be neutered which I was super nervous about as she has never really been to the vets only once as a pup but I could see how caring and lovely the vets were to my baby . Thank you so much everyone Azula
Negative experience: I am writing this review to express my extreme disappointment with my recent experience at the PDSA Pet Hospital in Hendon. My cat had just gone through a difficult birth, and one of the precious kittens was in a very poor state. Frantic and worried, I called the PDSA for help. The woman who answered the phone was unbelievably cold and unempathetic. Despite our cats names being in their system, she curtly informed me that we weren't registered and refused to see us. Even after explaining that we had just had an online consultation and were specifically told to come in due to the kitten's critical condition, her response was simply to find another vet and wished me "good luck." This lack of compassion, especially for an animal hospital, was appalling. It is shocking that the PDSA would have someone so uncaring working the phones, especially when dealing with worried pet owners in potentially life-or- death situations. This experience has left me questioning the values of the Hendon PDSA and their commitment to animal welfare.
Fantastic experience: I had to use PDSA in Hendon to get Gucci have her stuck puppy from her tubes removed and was preventing her giving birth naturally to the other puppies in her stomach, great service but I will be back to get my new dog neutered in a few months time and I hope that the staff will be just as helpful when I last visited xxx
Negative experience: Worst experience ever. Although it's reduced fee, it's not much of a difference. £70 for vaccinating at a private clinic and they do it for £40. Not worth the stress they caused me and my poor cat. You can't speak to anyone on the phone unless it's a life threatening emergency! And I am apalled at the poor service they provided today. I waited 1.5 hours to see them even though we had an appointment. It was packed with people standing up everywhere and full of dogs. My cat was really scared because of dogs barking. The vets rush to send you off. First time when I came to for a vaccination appointment the vet put my cat back in her basket without vaccinating her! Then she remembered and took her out to vaccinate her. And my cat had a problem in her skin. When I called them before they said its not an emergency so just tell the vet at your next appointment. And today she was seen by a nurse and a student not a vet! They even wanted me to just give my cat to them they would vaccinate and bring her back to me! Apparently they had no rooms! I refused I said I need to be there and ask questions. I was rushed again and they refused to treat the wound saying I need to book another appointment! Even though I told them I was told I could tell about my cat's skin issue at today's appointment. The nurse repeated 3 times how busy they are, (in detail)when she could have treated my cat. They just put a collar which made my cat stressed. They also refused to treat her constipation issue. This place really needs to make changes to their services. I will not be coming again.
Fantastic experience: The quality of staff here is fantastic. Professional vet always put the needs off the animal over anything else. And was indeed a good advocate for the pet in our particular situation. Also gave us the time we needed as there was a lot to process. Big heart felt thanks to all the staff. You are the best.
Fantastic experience: Very good staff and vet nurses. My cat came in for an operation and I was so worried, vet nurses really calmed me down and made me feel relaxed, they explained to me how to give the medication and next steps to follow. I also received a follow up surgery call a week later to check up on my cat. Very satisfied with the service and medication treatment I paid for. Thanks guys
Fantastic experience: Let me start this review with a MASSIVE thank you to all doctors, nurses and staff of PDSA Hendon hospital. We brought our diabetic cat Pencil to the hospital in a critical condition, no one thought he was going to make it, but PDSA did not give up on him! They did all that they could to bring him on his feet despite his poor condition. He surprised us all by making it and now is at home. PDSA Hendon clinic staff care , their professionalism, dedication, love for animals, hard work and advice saved our cat's live!
Fantastic experience: I have been taking my animals here for many years. The staff are lovely, welcoming and polite. They have seen my animals from the beginning to the end. They have such compassion and listen to any concerns that you have. They really do care.
Fantastic experience: Impressed with the reception and the kindness of the staff. Only when you need them that you realize how important it is to contribute with a regular donations :) I am in the queue waiting for them to see my cat, but I already have that good feeling about the service, that for sure will be great. From the first call they were so nice, thanks for all the effort to cure our pets ❤️
Fantastic experience: Incredible service and staff. I have saved thousands of pounds coming here. You can have one free pet if you’re entitlement to certain benefits. I have a second pet also with them and still receive discounted treatment at £20 per consultation. Staff are more helpful here than any vet clinic I have ever seen. Both my cats enjoy coming here I highly recommend.
