Positive experience: The last vet was very helpful and gave me excellent nutritional information for my dogs recovery. I would be lost without the PDSA. Thank you to the vets.

Negative experience: Went as an emergency and was given an appointment that he wasn’t. Not peed, in pain Seen by a veterinarian. Told he was over weight, scan of bladder showed nothing of any significance. No diagnosis given to pass on a o any other vet. Sent home with paracetamol type pain killers. He was dead 24 hours later. Kidney and liver failure. Died a horrible death. I’ve lodged a complaint on line. I made a good donation with thanks at the time. They let us and our little dog down. Never again. !!!

Positive experience: Due to an out-of-hours emergency, I took my small dog here after being advised to do so during a triage call. I was informed of the consultation fee in advance. The location is easy to reach with a large car park, and although the reception area looks dated, it was clean. The staff were friendly, and the vet assessed my dog and discussed next steps. However, the cost was extremely high. The consultation alone was £302.50, plus a £35 administration fee for an insurance claim. No treatment or medication was provided, as thankfully the issue was not as serious as we thought. Leaving with a £337.50 bill for a 20-minute visit felt excessive, especially in an emergency situation where alternatives are limited. I’m giving three stars not because of the service, which was good, but because of the prices charged.

Fantastic experience: Good place to go out of hours but very expensive to the pocket

iiisunshinerblx Posted on Google 3 months ago

Negative experience: We tried to register our dog here, told us would take 2 days to complete. ENDED UP TAKING A WHOLE WEEK!! Told us that our dog may have a sickness bug and didn’t even offer to look at her when she wouldn’t eat at all, could not walk properly, constantly throwing up, had a lump on her leg whoxh was very OBVIOUS signs of cancer. However got in touch w a proper vets and they offered to see her exact same day. All I’ve got to say is there completely USELESS and r.ip to my Elsa

Negative experience: I brought an emergency case in on Sunday night (9/11/25) a little Tabby cat that I had been feeding off and on for ten years or more, I didn't know if she had a home or not but she was very thin, old, deaf and extremely vulnerable it was also clear that she was very ill with possible kidney failure as her back legs were very weak. If she did have an owner, they shouldn't have just let her out to wonder in such a state also they should have taken her to a Vet themselves. On arrival I repeatedly told the nurse that I wanted to be kept informed about her situation and if she was to be put to sleep to let me know. She said that she would and would inform the Vet. I have rung them several times and only get an automated service, you cannot speak to anyone at all, this system is useless, I just want to know about the little cat. I only brought her to this vet as no others were open on a Sunday otherwise I would never use it. Other then trailing down to the location there is no other way to actually speak to staff which in my opinion is ridiculous! So, that is what I will have to do and it will be the last time I ever use this place. Do not recommend.

Negative experience: Unfortunately my French Bulldog, Nelly was put to sleep on the 8th October, as a result of a brain tumour. I travelled from Worksop for two out of hours emergency appointments. One of which included Nelly being put to sleep. On both occasions the vets were great and very supportive. Having a chosen a cremation, I was told I would have the ashes back within two weeks maximum. But usually it takes a week. On Wednesday it will be 4 weeks since I lost Nelly and still don’t have the ashes back. Last week I called the vets and spoke with a call centre in Scotland, who advised Nellys names tag on the ashes box has been spelt incorrectly and they were waiting a new tag. Still nothing. I’m appalled, that not once has the vets themselves or the call centre in Scotland contacted me with an update. They were quick is taking £1750 over two visits. But can’t make a simple phone call. Absolutely shocking service .

Ray Ray Posted on Google 6 months ago

Negative experience: 1- dog had a nasty reaction to flea collar, all neck was weeping and sticky, sent photos as requested then received a phone call to book appointment, booked appointment and attended to be told the person who phoned me had not booked the appointment in the system, I was told I could wait but could be waiting 4 hour to be seen, not ideal when I’d got children with me! 2- took cat for swollen leg was unsure what had happened to her leg was worried it was broken, people came in and left before I was even seen, was told they had “probably forgot about you” vet who saw her did nothing but tut and sigh the whole appointment 3- took dog for appointment to be neutered after been nil by mouth for the appointment arrived to be told no vets available to do surgery no phone call to let us know

Fantastic experience: How can you rate PDSA any less than 5 stars. People get pets and don't realise what lies ahead with the cost ofvet treatment for their pet. Without the PDSA, more pets would be left to suffer

Melissa Benson Posted on Google 6 months ago

Fantastic experience: Always the best at what they do. They help animals first then people. Customer service is always amazing. Animals are loved like their own.

Joanne Stubbs Posted on Google 6 months ago

Fantastic experience: Emergency visit with our Jack Russell PDSA was busy but staff amazing, reassuring especially Marilyn the vet we saw. Thorough history taken, examination and treatment plan. We were reassured by her plan and went home knowing our pet was safe.

Jasmine Posted on Google 6 months ago

Fantastic experience: Honestly cant thank them enough, took my boy in when he become to look unwell and not want to move. They kept him in for 3 days, he had surgery (which showed nothing) but he was very unstable for a couple of days and i really thought we was going to loose him. Forever grateful for the effort they put in to help him. And grateful the answered my calls 100 times a day to check in on him when i was so worried. Brunos back home and is back to his normal self today.

Munzoor Anwar (Bobby) Posted on Google 6 months ago

Fantastic experience: Very helpful, a little busy as you can imagine having to deal with private and pet NHS I guess you could call it. The staff are the best and still so nice, empathetic and friendly, even with some impatient pet owners getting a bit irate with the staff. We were there from open til almost closing time so be prepared to spend your entire day sat in the waiting area. A bit like human NHS I guess lol It's not their fault, they have to get through lots of different animals and also perform surgeries, x rays, bloods etc Thank goodness for places, staff and vets like this Oh yeah, it's within an industrial zone so far from anywhere to sit and wait. There a few shops in different directions but you'll need to drive or walk for up to 30mins to the nearest shop which is the petrol station ⛽

Wendy Baxter Posted on Google 6 months ago

Positive experience: The appointment was a follow up from my local vets ,who said he needed further treatment, and was checked over by pdsa ,but they said he didn't need it ,so will see iff abscess occurs again

hannah carder Posted on Google 6 months ago

Negative experience: There slow, they dont seem interested when you go in

Dawn Whittaker Posted on Google 6 months ago

Fantastic experience: A crutial place for animal welfare and emergencies .lots of seating and didn't have to wait long to see a vet carpark very small and busy has 1 disabled spot .all vets do an amazing job

Jordan Cheetham Posted on Google 7 months ago

Negative experience: Absolute disgrace of a place have no respect for people's financial difficulties have no time for your dog if he's vocal do anything to fob you with different medication to try because they haven't got decency to tell me they don't know what's up with our poor boy i have videos upon videos of my dog having fits being sick 20+times a day when I take him on a nice walk he goes boz eyed they're been a previous episode where his back end had given way but no they say he's fine no underlying health issues at all wow what a disgrace of a place oh and to top it off he come back with fleas and some kinda cut or graze on his shoulder and they've shaven a patch and said he's a skin condition the dogs got a Instagram 1000s of videos and photos of him and there's not a single graze or Mark on any I will be going to a proper vets from now on as I care about my animals pdsa no good for nothing...

Fantastic experience: Helps alot of people who love there pets but cant afford a vets charges

Ian Mitchell Posted on Google 7 months ago

Fantastic experience: Great with pet excellent staff and great knowledge

Shania Lola Posted on Google 7 months ago

Negative experience: had a really upsetting experience at PDSA. The staff did not know how to deal with vulnerable people and showed no compassion towards my dog or us as owners. We were told to put our dog to sleep without even attempting treatment, yet another vet has since given her the care she needed for us to increase her life span. On top of that, the way they handled her, dragging her by the collar despite her having cancer in her lymph nodes was shocking and distressing to see. Sadly, there was no compassion, care, or respect shown, and I would not recommend them based on this experience.

Ellie Yeates Posted on Google 7 months ago

Negative experience: Please do not go to the PDSA if you actually want your pets taken care of. Took my French bulldog in as she was experiencing fits and seizures and temporarily lost use of her back legs. Went to the vets straight away, just for them to give her an anti sickness jab and to say she won’t be able to walk again and may need to get her put down. I left straight away not listening to them, I went to a private vets in ecclesfield and after giving her some fluids for the day and doing blood tests etc, they found the cause. She was home that same night and started walking the next morning!! They don’t care about your pets, all they care about is getting you in and out and getting your money. 5 years later Lola is still here with us thanks to the private vets we went to. If I listened to PDSA and put my dog down she wouldn’t be here today. I understand vet care isn’t cheap, but please do your research on this place as I’m not the only person something like this has happened to.

Negative experience: Took our dog there amazing the work they do but the staff are awful talk to you like dirt ye we get it your working for free apparently but we don't deserve your frustration

Ann Kay Posted on Google 8 months ago

Negative experience: I took my rabbits for an appointment and the vet that I saw was more bothered about their carrier that I had brought them in. She had such a bad attitude and I’m not sure if she was having a bad day or because they were busy, but still doesn’t give her the right to be horrible. I had zero support with getting the rabbits out and keeping them calm after I had mentioned that they get nervous and start jumping all over the place. That’s exactly what ended up happening. I have been to this vets for years and never had an issue in fact I speak very highly of the place and I know not all the people that work there are nasty. Might just be the new people that have joined. Very traumatic experience for both myself and my rabbits.

loo Posted on Google 8 months ago

Negative experience: When you take a pet who has been suffering and you have had to make the horrendous decision as a family to end their life you can only hope it will be pain free and peaceful .. for our pet it was the opposite and for us as a family i cannot tell you how horrific it was to have witnessed this and to feel as though you we have let them down at this crucial point in their life !! Do not take your pet here ..i'm sorry to say this but its the truth …what happened today should never have happened .

Negative experience: My dog has been found and is at Pdsa Sheffield, they refused to return my dog and refused to see his picture absolutely disgusting behaviour. Refused to show me my own pet. Disgusting behaviour I will take legal actions. Here’s some pictures

Fantastic experience: After a shaky start not being able to get an appointment, finally got 1

Kevin Furniss Posted on Google 8 months ago

Negative experience: We called ‘out of hours’ to see a vet (private not PDSA) first of all there was no water anywhere for my dog to drink (may sound petty) charged me £480 to tell me there was nothing wrong with my pooch and to give a injection to stop her being sick. I know it was out of hours but the cost was a little excessive. Will not use again.

Charlotte Posted on Google 9 months ago

Negative experience: Rubbish, both times we've tried to use the service they've not had any appointments for weeks so have had to use private vets instead.

kieran hudson Posted on Google 9 months ago

Negative experience: stay well away from here took my cat in for a simple dental brought him home and he died in a bush i went and found him before he went and died i noticed he had fluid in his lung and blue gums but i didn't know at the time if it even was a problem but now i understand everything about it stay away from these dumb vets who don't even suck the fluid out when there doing a dental!

Fantastic experience: Unfortunately my fur baby had to be put to sleep . The staff were so caring and did everything they could to save her . They were compassionate and proffesional rip aminnie my loyal faithful companion ❤️

Amanda Garvey Posted on Google 10 months ago

Fantastic experience: My vets no longer offers an out of hours service at their own premises so I had to travel to the PDSA to see the vet from Vets Now who offer emergency, out of hours consultations/treatment from the PDSA Hospital. It is easy to find and has its own car park and the staff/receptionist/vet/nurses were all brilliant.

Positive experience: Took one of our cats Bertha who was 14 through as she wasn't right, got there at about 12.30, On reception was a lovely lady. Managed to see a vet who was lovely said our cat needed a scan and bloods doing, also Bertha was put on oxygen. then waited what seemed like for ever, to get the BAD news that it could be a tumour and they didn't think our bertha could handle the operation. So we decided to have her put to sleep, I stayed there while my wife went to pick our son up in Barnsley. Bertha was fetched in and we all petted her and loved her, my wife and son said there good bye's and I stayed with her my little fur baby Bertha went to sleep for the last time. Would have liked to have took our cat local but it was after hours and this was the only vet open. And our cat was in distress. We then said we would like Bertha cremated and put in a nice box. Staff was very helpful and had empathy.

Fantastic experience: Today I have had to have my cat Lucy put to sleep and I am heartbroken The staff and vet treated me with compassion. Thank God they were there.

Negative experience: my boy max was treated by one vet superbly, he had trouble with his back legs as he was an older boy on medication to ease his joints, i had to take him suddenly one morning as he had developed a large swelling on his right rear leg. he did not see his usual vet as it was her day off, the vet he saw examined him and blatantly said he's got a tumour in his leg would you like me to put him to sleep now. wow unbelievable no compassion what so ever, how can i process that in 2 mins. i politely asked her to open the door and left with my boy, will never ever recommend that lady vet to anyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shelley Emson Posted on Google 11 months ago

Fantastic experience: There are verry kind exp went you have to put your love one to sleep.

Phil Enticknap Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: Took our beloved family cat in last night as he was having a seizure, we asked the vet to try & help him, she then took him out the back to fit a cannula and when she came back into the room and we asked where he was she replied “I’ve just put him to sleep” We didn’t get to sit with him or anything, his last memories will be in a cold dark room with a total stranger. Absolutely disgusted with the behaviour of the vet.

Chloe wigfield (Chlo) Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Lovely team, great vets and surgeons. I will be forever grateful for everything they did for my dog. After all his surgeries he had to be put to sleep, we were put in a lovely room separate from a vet room. The vet was nice and the nurse that came in after he had passed was so gentle and lovely, we collected some fur together and did his paw prints, although he was very large they kept him wrapped in his favourite blanket to be collected by the crematorium person. Such lovely, kind and caring people! Thank you from me and my boy, you made the hardest days of my life as easy as they possibly could have been!

So from the bottom of my heart thankyou from Bailey and myself xxxx

Fantastic experience: All the vets and staff are very nice and handle my baby with care my puppie hates it here but understandable the waiting times are a little long but other than that it's all great

Shazia Hussain Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: It might be cheaper but the service is absolutely crap as I've been couple of times but the way they treated us it was ridiculous so that's the 1 reason plus my pet didn't get the diagnosis just the meds

Mark Whitehead Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: The pdsa are such a vital service for animals who's owner's are struggling financially. I personally appreciate them for saving my dog bear a few years ago after he suffered a vicious attack by dangerous dogs.

Wendi Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Obviously didn't love the experience as after over 12 yrs of loving our amazing pug Buster, it was time to ease his pain. The PDSA have been there for us all these years and we can't thank them enough

Marie Sully Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Brilliant service all the staff go above and beyond. My one bug bear is certain individuals who use this service that don’t clean up after their dog, the amount of poo outside is disgraceful just pick it up.

Andrea McGregor Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: The service and care given to me and my dog Mac pre and post operation was amazing. I can't thank the staff and volunteers for your amazing work. Thank you so much ❤️

Gooders “Gooders” Pitman Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: How anyone can come on here and leave a negative, vindictive review about this life saving clinic is beyond my own personal comprehension. The PDSA is run by volunteers and funded by the benevolence of un-selfish people who care about the welfare of animals and know the comfort that comes with owning a much cherished pet, a companionship that would not be possible were it not for the affordable vet fees, and donations to the PDSA. Please remember that the PDSA is a lifeline for pets and people who cannot or do not the have means to afford the just for profit Vet practices that litter the UK. Gone are the halcyon days of James Herriot and a kindly family run Veterinary practise, for in todays climate of profits before pets, your local vets is nothing more than a private insurance funded scam and so for folks without money or meagre incomes the company of a much loved pet would be denied. Try and get that into your head before you offer up a malicious review about such a fine charity. I myself have sought the services of the PDSA and have been quite willing to donate what ever they suggest, and this clinic is a beacon of hope in a very uncharitable landscape. Therefore I say, thank you PDSA and a big thank you to your founder, Maria Dickin, for without you and your vision, lots of animals would have died before their time, or been left to suffer. Also a massive thank you to the volunteers, and vets, who keep Ms Dickin’s vision a reality. Love, Peace and a massive thank you from Mr Goodwin and Brian the lurcher. X

Eleanor Foakes Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: Was advised to come here with a stray cat that had been visiting our house and needed treatment. Unfortunately they didn't seem interested or want to help. What was most concerning was that there was an XL Bully in the waiting area without a muzzle that was trying to have a go at the other dogs. No attempt was made to address this situation by any of the staff.

Jackie Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Unfortunately the time came to have my little rescue Mylo put to sleep. I cannot thank the vets enough for their kindness and understanding at this awful time. They made a bad situation as good as they could. They are caring people even the receptionist was outstanding. Thank you all sincerely

Karen Stuart Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Sophie has now operated on my Reggie twice, herself and her team have looked after him with such care and professionalism. I want to thank you for your kindness and care taken to make Reggie’s operation successful. Reggie was a stray and I took him in, and I absolutely love him to pieces. Thank you once again and Reggie sends a big meow and a purr Karen Reggie’s mum Xx

Negative experience: Brought our cat in as an emergency - couldn’t breathe. In the moment great care given by the nurses (who honestly were amazing). Vet conducted xrays and stated she had bronchitis. After some oxygen she was sent home. We were back in less than an hour as she could not breathe without oxygen. Reluctantly they took her in and kept her over night, letting her go in the morning with instructions to ‘see her regular vet at some point this week’ We were very worried so made a same day appointment with our regular vet who stated she was very very poorly, xrays showed a mass in her throat virtually closing it. Our vet stated she couldn’t believe she had been sent home once, let alone twice. We lost our girl less than 12 hours after we were told she was fine and just needed antibiotics. We spent nearly £2000 and all it actually did was prolong her suffering. Genuinely think they saw our desperation and a blank cheque appeared in their minds.

Robert Mortimer Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: I was so grateful that they were able to operate on my dog at very short notice, it was a weekend and my vet was closed, thanks to everyone who looked after her.

Pat Hibberd Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Can sometimes have to wait as emergency can come in but all the vets are caring, thoughtful and very good. They explain what is wrong and how they will treat your pet even though they are busy they still take the time to give everyone the help they and their pet needs.

Tony Bottrill Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Tragically my main boy duke the best looking dog collapsed and died last night while at the vets I'm lost the service I got was brilliant

Jane Stevens Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: Took my tiny chihauhau for treatment for a skin condition...to cut a long story short they gave him a steroid injection for a 12kilo dog when he weighed 1.2 kilos...he died. Two months later I met the owner of his brother who had the same skin problem and he was treated by the same surgery and they also killed that dog by doing the same thing with steroids...so this tells me that if it's an ongoing problem with an old dog they will "accidentally overdose" the dog as it's too expensive and too much hassal to keep treating them when you cant pay...murderers...be aware of them

Gas Motorcycles Sheffield Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: Nothing to do with what they do, but they don't accept the working person's animals, they only cater for those on benefits, now, I know it's a charity and PDSA are always wanting donations, but would it not be beneficial for PDSA to accept the working person as a customer and charge the correct amount making it profitable to the charity??? I only wanted to use PDSA as its a hospital plus convenience and location.. Oh well privateers will more than benefit the monies than PDSA.. Next time this charity wants cash off me, I will remind them of the refusal I was given... This has no reflection on the commitment and work they do towards pets. NB update - since this post, Springfield vets have done what was needed to do, the cost was £1600 for a couple of hrs work, to which I think was over priced for the removal of a tumour and a bloodtest, but after all it's our pet and will pay anything to make sure its right...

Daniel Mansell Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: The online side to the PDSA needs big adjustments. it's nearly impossible to get your pets in online or on the phone , but when they do get seen the vets and staf there are amazing :)

Sharon Bell Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: Never again. Abrupt staff surly vets. Had to choose between paying my rent and losing a whole months wages or saving my cat. Not sure how they sleep at night!!!!!! Went elsewhere after having to take him home and pray he wouldn't die overnight till I could take him elsewhere. Saved him for a third of the price with excellent vets who actually give a dam about animals than lining there pockets like these!!!!

** Posted on Google 1 year ago

Positive experience: I had to attend the PDSA quite late on in the evening/night. The information I was given on the internet and also when i called the out of hours number that is provided online gave me misleading information. However, once at the PDSA NEWHALL clinic, the staff there were extremely accommodating and friendly. They were also very understanding that I may have not completely understood what was said due to being in a very agitated and incredibly worried state due to the fact that my dog of 12years had possibly just had a fit which lasted several minutes. I would just like to add that through the extremely quick response from the PDSA, my dog is still with me and going from strength to strength. THANKYOU PDSA. YOU R GREAT!!!!!!!

Umammah Rehman Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: Came with an appointment at 12:00 for my cat Bella. Waited until half 12 then I asked how much longer it could be the receptionist said there are 3/4 people ahead it’s now 13:08 and the receptionist said there is 5 people ahead this makes absolutely no sense she also said she cannot determine how long this will be . Essentially it’s like A&E your appointment is a place holder and means nothing unless your pet is dying expect to be waiting several hours. They also take payment before the appointment.

Danielle Adlington Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Had a lovely experience with the people who work here despite having to go through one of the toughest decisions with not returning home with my pet. They were all so caring and considerate to us and looked after her up until her last moments.

Haseeb Muhammad Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: Worst place ever, be warned only go here if you want vets who don’t even know how to do their jobs properly. Absolutely disgusted with the service I recieved today my cat had been given a DOG VACCINE!! How can you make such an error that too apparently by the Head vet!!!! I would never trust my pet here ever again I have made a formal complaint so I will be hearing back but if you guys are reading this review I strongly suggest spend the extra money and go elsewhere these guys have no clue what they are doing I would highly stay away from here!!!

Kay Carnall Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Arrived a little early. I was welcomed by a lovely lady on reception who took my details and asked me to take a seat. I was called on time for my appointment and the lady vet was wonderful. She took plenty of time to listen to what I had to say and to examine my pug. I then collected medication from dispensary who again was very welcoming. I can highly recommend pdsa and I am eternally grateful for their help

Fantastic experience: Our little girl callie contracted f.i.p and we lost her the vets amd nurses at the p.d.s.a supported us from beginning to the end her life and even her final moments they didn't rush us out they let us say our final goodbyes our way they took prints of her nose and paws for us and let us hug her until it was time to let her go over the rainbow bridge so guys please donate without this they wouldent have been able to treat our girl or any of the other sick pets THANKYOU FOR ALL YOUR HELP !!!

Negative experience: Took my dog here that required emergency surgery to save her life, and was turned away because “we don’t live in the Sheffield area”, when for everyone else we do. Totally useless as a “pet hospital” when they won’t help an animal in dire need

Fantastic experience: Took an injured bird in, under advice, to see if it could be saved (it had been 'got' by a neighbour's cat). Sadly, there was nothing that could be done :'( The staff there were so patient and caring, and made me feel I had done the right thing to bring it to be euthanised. I'm glad I now know who to call and where to go with any other wildlife in peril.

Fantastic experience: Nice place, and easy enough to get to. Friendly staff throughout with care and consideration to you no matter the circumstances. It does have limited parking and can be busy at times, but that is to be expected and is certainly in no way a flaw.

Negative experience: NOT AN EMERGENCY VETS. currently been turned away with a dog that is bleeding everywhere from a completely ripped out claw because I don't have I.d on me this second and don't have regular appointments with them. Do not recommend will leave you absolutely stranded

Fantastic experience: Cannot thank the PDSA team enough. They were responsive and caring, such an easy process and really grateful for them making my cat better after she needed surgery.

Negative experience: Receptionist abrupt, was not discreet other people in waiting room knew how much our bill was and what for, this is after she came barging into the room when I was vomiting and husband and 2 children very clearly distressed yet went into sales mode about caskets. No empathy, no sympathy, disgusting. Now I entered a PDSA yet the invoice states it’s form vets now emergency which is a registered business not a charity so god only knows what scams they are pulling. Freak accident took my boy but these have totally destroyed his memory. If you need emergency vets go elsewhere they don’t do dignity, compassion or empathy.

Fantastic experience: My little boy had been going back and forth here, first his liver then kidney to the point he'd stopped eating and drinking, the day Mocha went to sleep. I really want to thank them for all the help they gave him,

Positive experience: I rely on the PDSA for my pets and It's hit or miss with the receptionists, but that seems to be a worldwide wide phenomenon. I always contribute as much money as I possibly can since it is technically free and vet treatments are typically expensive. A good vet in my opinion.

Positive experience: Pricey but that's understandable as it's an out of hour emergency service. Could be cleaner. The lady at the phone told me to "come whenever you're ready" which was misleading as I received a disappointed phone call asking me why I was late and if I was still going or not. I didn't know I could be late for an appointment without a set time.

Negative experience: I have been here previously and the vets themself are lovely and compassionate however, the receptionist seem to lack empathy and professionalism, I advised my cat was struggling with breath unable to keep food down and has loss weight in rapid time and it lethargic to be told this is not an emergency as she has not just given birth to kittens or bleeding and I would have to wait 3-5 days for a call back, which is fine I understand the practises demands. However, 2 days prior I was told we was on a list for a call back which was false as the receptionist had no idea of what we was told previously or any list. I advised the receptionist we have tried all at home treatments such as a paste to treat fur balls as that’s what we was advised when we originally called, only to be receive a TEXT message not even a call days later advising before they book my cat an appointment to buy that exact paste I’ve told them has already been tried, clearly I was not listened to. On the text it explained I’d have to call and try to book an appointment again if this doesn’t work. Not only did they advise I had to register again online when I explained I’m unable to do this, the attitude from the receptionist was appalling advising me “it will only take 5 minutes” I had to stress the fact at the time I did not have wifi or anyway of doing this until they agreed it on my behalf which took literally 2 seconds. They then went on to ask if I had video call after I just explained I clearly couldn’t provide this due to wifi issues also how could a video call help me in this circumstance? I waited 4 days with no improvement from my cat continuing home methods to receive as little as a text regarding a POTENTIAL treatment when nothing has been diagnosed and I’ve already had no improvement with. Also being encouraged to not use emergency, really awful service this time around. In the end another vet practise was much more helpful.
