Fantastic experience: Very friendly and welcoming, we took our 4 month Rotti for a check up, he did appear to enjoy the experience of going to the vets. Our Rotti, Jett is now 2.5 years old and has just been back to the vets, he enjoys going, although does not like the injections, but the staff are very friendly and patient with him.

Positive experience: Ok, nice service and result, still expensive for a normal vaccination though

Negative experience: Took my dog in for an ear infection which I knew it was but still had to pay the consultation fee to tell me it was an ear infection then got given tablets which cost £65 but I could get them for 6p a tablet online and some ear drops which they charged me £35 for which was £7.55 online absolute robbing vets then told me to go back to check to see if the infection was gone but had to pay another consultation fee .I pay £17 a month for the pet health and discounts on medication so I asked if there was any discounts on the stuff the prescribed me and they said no but as soon as I said I'm cancelling the pet health plan ironically a discount appears for the medication. DO NOT join the pet health club as the unprofessional girl Gemma Taylor who works there has a nasty attitude towards customers plus you don't get anything apart from a nurse feeling your dogs stomach as a full check up and that's all you get one nail clipped and told others don't need doing which they did ,,,, its just a massive rip off

Fantastic experience: Heard a lot of good about this Vet Practice. Brought in a kitten that made my house it's own. The lady who attended to the kitten was kind, caring and compassionate. As she may be rehomed due to my older cat thinking of Divorcing me. They talked me through what to do should the new owner need to take her to another Vet Practice. Pleasant reception staff who, in combination, made this a positive experience. Will be bringing my older cat in for a check up.

Negative experience: Overpriced/monkey making and uncaring. After having my boy here for 12 years I have seen the practise decline massively. Now it's a bunch of vets who don't show any care or emotion towards the animals or humans for that matter when going through tough times. Ask you to come back for checks up where they ask you if they've improved (instead of seeing the same vet consistently) over them being professional and doing their job, but then charging another £65 with no further progress. Leaving a week to book in for an X-ray which when questioned if that was too long the vet advised that if he declined in that time that he is put to sleep BEFORE investigating what is wrong - bare in mind this is a dog who is eating, drinking, no change in toilet habits, moving around on his own accord and responsive! I have moved him now after 12 years as there is no way I am leaving my dog in their care to be put under sedation/anaesthesia when they don't even give him the courtesy of acknowledging him when I am there. Told the new vets he needs X-rays, they are fully booked BUT said that at his consultation the vet can override and get him in if needed. So why can these not? Highly disappointed and upset and would avoid at all costs

Negative experience: I had to switch to Pets, it's nearby and cheaper. I got spam texts demanding payment after I'd already paid! after week useless letters saying nothing about what I owed. I emailed Clearc and got no explanation!! , so I ignored the whole scam.

Negative experience: I would leave minus 1 if l could, these vets sent my dog home to die because they didn't know what was wrong with him, they charged £500 for doing nothing, thank God our love went to the emergency vets and they saved him, he had sepsis all it would have taken was a blood test, DDO NOT USE THIS VETS, they just want your money

Negative experience: Very overpriced and poor service. They are money-driven and seem to prioritise profit over patient care. Vets clearly lack knowledge and need further training. Would never recommend this vet to anyone. Dirty and outdated practice. Money hungry greedy vets. AWFUL.

Negative experience: £82 a year now for cat booster injection (Novibac ducat) - God knows how much they'll charge when felv is due too. Now registered at a different vets where yearly injections are only £45! Just shows you how overpriced this vets is!

The team at Abbeymoor were incredible throughout the entire experience. The staff were compassionate, professional and attentive. They treated Merlin with great care and skill, and I felt confident he was in good hands.

Fantastic experience: Always been great with my yorkie Milo from being a pup, we had to say goodbye to him on 19th November 2024 due to ill health, he would have been 13yrs old on 1st December, we miss him so much, then today 25th Nov I received a lovely message in a card from them, some flower seeds to grow and, a heart that we can write a message and put a photo of him on to put on a tree in the vet reception, I thought that was so beautiful and never expected it, Thank You Abbeymore veterinary service ❤️ xx

Fantastic experience: After a very, very difficult experience at the emergency vets over the weekend we received such empathy, kindness, honesty and understanding at Abbeymore. They had every opportunity to ‘bump up’ the bill but every decision made was for the wellbeing of our girl. As we lost her they were so genuinely concerned and we felt like we were wrapped in a big hug. Our girl was given dignity and her best interests were always the centre of every decision.

Fantastic experience: I wouldn’t take my pets anywhere else. We have a reactive Jack Russell who we bring here for regular nail clipping and the nurses are so kind, gentle and helpful with him. Appointments are always easy to acquire and all the staff are very friendly. They are also very responsive with queries and always seem happy to help. We brought our hamster here for a consultation today and the experience was fantastic from start to finish and they were very reassuring. They genuinely care about all animals including little hammies. Thank you Abbeymoor, I would always recommend you.

Fantastic experience: Abbeymoor vets have been my vets for over 30 years. Their staff are kind and courteous. They really care about the pets.

Negative experience: I will start with avoid this Vets, there are plenty of others in Sheffield that are better and most of all that take their jobs seriously. I found this vets because we moved house and I needed to find a vet that accepted pet health club which this does. We made the first appointment as required to allow them to give my dogs regular flea and worm medication. When we arrived the reception area is very tired and gives the impression nobody that works there really cares for the place. The staff were ok but I wouldn’t say anything beyond functional, no smiles no greetings just an acknowledgment of our arrival and please take a seat. When the vet asked us into the room I was instantly taken by her demeanour which seemed like she was having a bad day, again no smiles not much discussion just trying to get us processed and out as quickly as possible. The vet we saw was asked to cut my dogs nails as I can’t do it myself and when she initially began clipping I was somewhat alarmed by the manner in which she worked with my very scared dog. The vet was yanking my dogs paw toward her and when my dog helped she replied with “What!?” which is the first time I have seen an animal care specialist interact with a small scared animal that way. This continued to the point where Ellie or Eleonore the vet made my dog bleed and not a small amount. At that point my dog bit her to which she said she was going to muzzle my dog. The muzzle was brought in and the vet attempted to apply the muzzle so tightly that it wouldn’t close. At this point I said it was enough and I would like another vet to finish the appointment to which Ellie walked out of the room. If you care for your pet, I strongly suggest you find an alternative as it’s not worth putting them through experiences like this. Don’t hand over your money for this level of neglectful animal treatment like this.

Fantastic experience: These vets are so lovely, all our other local vets were full when we moved to the area and couldn't register our three cats. Our kitten Boswell started over grooming and his tummy looked awful. They got him in straight away and diagnosed him, gave him tablets and it's made a world of difference. They've regularly seen him since to check his progress, he purrs the whole time he's being fussed by the vets and were very open and honest about long term care with us. Couldn't recommend enough

Fantastic experience: Abbeymore vets are first class , they are so caring, friendly they treat you as if you’re a member of there family. Words can’t describe how great they really are . I would and have recommended them to anyone and everyone.

Negative experience: I’m reluctant to give one star, if there was an option for -1 I’d be choosing that. We have spent thousands at this vet trying to get my dog the medical attention that she needed. I don’t even know where to start?! I suppose when she first had an abscess on her head where she was given so much medication without getting to the root problem, which resulted in the abscess coming back multiple times. This resulted in the abscess bursting and having to be taken to emergency out of hours vets who did a far better job. Then we have had issues with her ears which resulted in an ear infection, whilst they even took swabs to which I later found out showed bacteria in the ears, she was instead treated for yeast and not the infection that was actually present?! This resulted in her ear canals closing up due to the swelling. I have since changed vets, they have done a full screening on her and it showed that the infection in her ears was the equivalent to MRSA in humans which can be extremely dangerous in dogs. Due to this being untreated this has resulted in her being unreceptive to 6 of the 7 antibiotics that can be used to treat this infection and was told she may have to have her ear canals out if this did not work. Just when you think this couldn’t get any worse, when they have looked on her history as she was given so much steroids for her abscess at the time, this has caused her to go patchy on the sides of her stomach. It’s sad when you put your trust and faith into vets to treat your dogs, to actually be used for money purposes instead. Do not go here if you want to get your pet treated, and especially if you have bulldogs as they seem absolutely clueless and utilise the fact that bulldogs are known to have illnesses to their advantage.

Fantastic experience: Lovely vets, we've never had anything but care and compassion here. In particular, we have a nervous reactive dog, and Abbeymoor always go above and beyond to accommodate us. They saved his life last year when he caught vaccine-resistant parvo (or something similar), care was very prompt, and they worked excellently during the day in tandem with the PDSA clinic for the nights, and dealt with all the insurance details for us. We'll forever be grateful.

Upon discovering a concerning lump on Bubbles, we wasted no time in seeking professional advice and promptly brought her in for an evaluation. When the phone call finally came, revealing that the lump was indeed cancerous, the vets worked closely with us to arrange for surgery to remove the growth. After surgery we was well informed about whats happened and what to expected. We were scheduled for a follow-up appointment the subsequent week. The nurses who cared for Bubbles during her 3/4 checkups post-surgery were consistently compassionate, considerate, and knowledgeable. Negative experience: I don’t know where to start with this vets and the numerous disappointments and mistakes they have made. We have the pet plan and we have been with the vets for 7 years and initially it was a great vet and they cared. However now with new receptionist and new veterinarians it a horrible place they charge £51 for a consultation that never runs on time and for the privilege of being insulted and criticised when all I want is best for me dog they then charge massive inflation on the price of medication and then expect you to return to pay another £51 to say everything is now fine a day later. Then on top of the price for a check up or an appointment needed, for pet club it is £17.99 a month that supposed to give discounts but never receive and don’t really see the benefit of anymore. They are constantly trying to get extra money in appointments and check up they couldn’t see my dogs teeth in one visit so suggested to have dental work just in case. The worst part is the constant incorrect issued medication nearly ever 3 month I get the wrong tablets for worm or flea, the last time was the last straw when they gave wrong medication for a infection and the reply I got was ‘oh mistakes happen’ I was just in shock I shouldn’t have to check a prescription when they are charging overpriced fees and I have since changed vets and got their plan and it includes unlimited appointments and check ups are not charged and they actually care. Avoid Abbeymore take your pet elsewhere that actually cares and are not money hungry.

Fantastic experience: I trust my vets to be invested in my furbabies thus all my dogs both past and present have been registered weith Abbeymoor. There is just one sticking point and that is the extremely high cost of the treatments. However, it seems that all vets have hiked up their charges so I have no incentive to register my furbabies with another vets.

Fantastic experience: My cat had homeopathic treatment here a few years ago. He had been struggling with skin issues for some considerable time and the treatment was over a few months. But success in the end. It gave us 2 years of good times before he passed away with kidney failure.

Fantastic experience: My Russian Dwarf Hamster, 2" long, tiny, she had a lump on her belly and of course I though the worst. Impossible to do surgery on a creature so small, or so I thought. The team at Sheffield Abbeymoor vets gave her an anasthetic, and removed what proved to be a cyst and I had her back home in three hours. Every one was so kind and gentle with her. They had to shave her tummy and they used two stitches. Now she's doing just fine. Thank you Abbeymoor.

Negative experience: The vet we saw would probably be more help to the community working in Asda stacking shelves or serving chips at the chippy across the road. Luckily we had a real professional to help us through this very difficult time so our dog got the care he needed in the end! But was definitely not at the help of this vet! I wouldn’t even consider taking a worm to this woman never mind my dog. Defo a money grabber with very little care for its customers and there beloved animals.

Negative experience: Firstly , I absolutely would not recommend this vets to anybody. The reception staff were fine . But the vet I saw “ Nicola “ was utterly disgusting towards me over the phone. She basically insinuated I’d let my dog get to a poor state . When the actual case was he deteriorated rapidly. No sympathy , no help what so ever. She told me to put him down at 1 years old without even explaining or looking at options . I will never let any of my pets be seen by her and will make sure anybody I know isn’t seen by her either ! Stay well clear !!!!

Fantastic experience: My Westie has been going to Abbey Lane for years and on one occasion when I rang their expertise saved her life for which I will be forever grateful. I think it is a good indicator when your dog willingly walks through the door and I don't recall ever being in the waiting area and seeing a pet distressed.

Fantastic experience: Abbeymoor Vets are efficient, kind and professional. They notify me whenever a check up or medication is due for my cat, and are very accommodating if I have to miss or postpone an appointment. At our last appointment the vet discovered my cat has a minor heart murmur. She explained the implications and prognosis very calmly and clearly, and the options for treatment.

They made mistakes with processing details of my pet health club subscription and ever since then they make me feel a dishonest person for something that was not my fault. I have given them too many chances to excuse their busy work but never going back again.

Fantastic experience: I have recently been to abbeymoor with my 4 year old jack russell. He was really poorly and lethargic, I took him to vets and saw Natalie Hague who was one of the vets and she was absolutely fantastic with him so caring and loving towards him, trying to get to the bottom of what was causing him to be so poorly. He spent three days in the vets and one overnight stay. When I brought him home on the Thursday I was still really concerned so rung back up and she gave her advice and brought him straight back on the Friday, we finally got a diagnosis for him. The care we recieved from the whole team was second to none - the reception team were so accommodating squeezing us in when needed and being really understanding. The care recieved from Natalie Hague was just second to none really and the nursing staff were all so caring and patient with him when he was refusing to eat they even went out to buy his favourite....chicken. I honestly cannot thank you enough for everything.
