Vets for Pets Leicester Fosse Park: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Really Good Vet and the staff are friendly. I've been using this Vet for 14 years now. First with my pug and now with my French Bulldog. They are absolutely great and very helpful.
Fantastic experience: Great place to shop for dogs needs and Vet service as well
Negative experience: Avoid — expensive treatment with no result and no accountability I took my dog to this practice because he was in clear pain from an ear problem. As he wouldn’t allow his ears to be examined properly while awake, we followed the vet’s recommendation to have him treated under anaesthetic. The total cost was just under £800. We were told the infection should start to clear within 28 days. It has now been weeks and there has been no improvement at all. His ears are still dirty, blocked, and look exactly the same as they did before the procedure. The treatment appears to have had no effect and my dog is in visible pain. When I contacted the practice to explain this and ask for a follow-up, I was told they would only see him again if I booked and paid for another full appointment - there was no offer to review the failed treatment, no discount, and no responsibility taken. Had this been months later or had there been some improvement, I would have accepted that medicine is not guaranteed. But when a treatment produces no visible result at all, I think it is reasonable to expect it to be reviewed. I also found the practice manager (Liz) extremely unhelpful — the focus was on booking another paid appointment rather than on why the original treatment had failed or on my dog’s welfare. Overall this felt like a commercial operation focused more on fees than outcomes. I would not return and would advise others to consider alternative practices that actually care about your pets.
Fantastic experience: Very compassionate team. Wasn't best visit for last time but the team was great. After care too was nice
Fantastic experience: very good
Negative experience: AVOID AT ALL COSTS! My cat passed away here. She had heart disease and had to be brought in for a medication review - there were several dogs barking loudly which made her hyperventilate, tongue out, scratching to get out the carrier. I was standing at the front of the line waiting for one of THREE receptionists to listen to me when asking for my cat to be seen ASAP as it was past her appointment time. I understand they were running late - fair enough, it was a busy day, but for all 3 receptionists to be having their own pathetic conversation while my cat with heart disease was panting from stress. We had her in the appointment room for 15 seconds before the kind nurse took her away and ran to give oxygen as her tongue was blue. She collapsed and passed away. Worst day of my life, I hope I never see those receptionists again, they should understand that animals are there because they are most likely SICK and need extra care. Even after telling the lady that my cat with HCM was panting and stressed, she took her time and walked away slowly, after glancing at my cat to see if I was telling the truth. It was almost offensive how she acted. Please don’t bring your CATS here as they’re sensitive and don’t do well in environments where there is no separation between dogs - who are almost always fine and favoured by staff.
Negative experience: Although most of the things about this practice I cannot fault there is a few that have made me not give more than 2 stars . I have recently brought my large German shepherd in for what I thought was a check up and medication review, now only to be told when attempting to order my dogs repeat prescription for apoquell which is for his skin and allergies with out it he suffers. (Sorry for the spelling) That it wasn't and now I have to bring him in again, this is a major issue because I have to buy the sedation medicine to give him before bringing him to the vets which he has reactive issue with just to wait and then get to see a vet who just talks for a few minutes so that I'm allowed the medicine for him So I have to put him through all of that to get the medication when this can be easily done over the phone and bare in mind that last week I've already brought him in to see the vet??? I'm really struggling not to swear on here put of pure frustration.
Fantastic experience: We unfortunately had to have our beloved dog put to sleep on the 11th Oct. I want to mention Claudia who went above and beyond to help us through the euthanasia. Your compassion shone through, thank you so much Claudia, you were an absolute star ❤️
Fantastic experience: Ever heard of a cat loving going to the vet, well my Joey does. He has a bit of favoritism with his vet Claudia who we also love. Friendly service from someone who actually remembers your cat makes a huge difference. 2 last minute appointments over the last 2 days has been a life saver (literally) Joey is home for the night and back in for tomorrow. I have to say a huge thank you to the entire team. My cats are my babies and we value our opinions on our choice of vet. I would love to mention each individual staff member but my brain only retains faces but Charlotte was lovely today. Reassuring and engaging with conversations. As a whole Sameer as a vet i have known going on 10 years and he is exemplary. Thank you again for the ongoing service Claudia a very special shout out to you ❤️ we appreciate you more than you know.
Fantastic experience: Can’t recommend this practice enough! The receptionists are always so kind and welcoming and nothing is ever too much trouble. The vets are always knowledgeable and always give such great advice and I’ve never felt that they’ve gave me information just to ‘make money’ like some of the previous reviews I’ve seen. I will always continue to bring my animals here. Thank you Vets for Pets Fosse Park
Negative experience: Terrible service, needs reporting! . Took our cat for a standard check up and we asked about a flab of skin on his belly, we were told it could be a hernia and we would need to have a scan. Turns out it's a primordial pouch that every cat has! Also tried to get us off the best selling spot on treatment telling us the more expensive vet ones are better. Only interested in making money.
Negative experience: This practice manager Liz Mason seems to be getting a reputation for being rude and dismissive. She is an absolute liability to the practice and is the causative reason for taking my business elsewhere, despite having used Vets4Pets Fosse Park for many years. My pet has had ongoing conditions for many years, and having changed insurers, I am having to bridge the history for my pet, for which I am being charged £20 per condition per year. My insurers tell me this is not the norm just to bridge the understanding. Can anyone comment or confirm? The pet history belongs to me after years of paying Vet4Pets. Liz Mason was adamant that I have to pay despite, myself doing all of the admin for claiming back my vet’s fees. Really horrible.Do professionals hang up on customers mid conversation? She did.
Negative experience: Title: Extremely Disappointing – Poor Service, Zero Accountability Review: I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Vets4Pets [Fosspark] was appalling enough that I feel others deserve a warning. I was told I could attend an appointment without a deposit, as I had credit on the account. Then, out of nowhere, I was contacted and told I had to pay or my appointment would be cancelled. I was passed to someone named Liz — supposedly the decision-maker — who was unaware of the situation and spoke to me in a rude, dismissive tone that left me completely shocked. I tried to raise a formal complaint multiple times. In return, I received vague replies, contradictory information, and eventually a cold, automated message saying the case had been closed — without any proper investigation or apology. The entire experience showed a complete lack of professionalism, poor internal communication, and zero care for client trust or pet welfare. If this is how loyal customers are treated, I dread to think how they handle more serious issues. I’ve now reported this to the RCVS, VCMS, and Trading Standards, and I’ll continue to escalate if needed. I genuinely expected better from a brand that claims to care for animals and their owners. Avoid if you value respect, clarity, and basic decency. I’ve now reported this to the RCVS, VCMS, and Trading Standards. I’ll continue to escalate this if needed, as I believe no customer — especially one who has acted responsibly and respectfully — should be treated this way. I genuinely expected better from a brand that claims to care for animals and their owners.
Fantastic experience: Really good vets. My cat was in a fight nurse saw him within a couple of hours on a Saturday. Told me how to treat him without pushing expensive medical. Fantastic surgery. Back again old man cats face is swollen rearranged appointment when I couldn't catch him. Different vet also fantastic
Positive experience: It was clean and staff helpful
Fantastic experience: Everything you need (pet wise) you find here
Positive experience: I've been a customer of this vets for many many years. I took my cat in a few weeks ago and It looked like she was going to die, the vet said she might or I could spend 600-1000 to put her in the vets. The cat got looked at my two vets. I was suspicious ( I'm really into body language) and something didn't add up. Anyway , I was crying and distraught as I don't/can't/can't justify spending that much on a cat. So I took her home. Turns out she had cat flu. I'm guessing that the vets knew the signs of cat flu ( they spend a minimum of 5 years training so MUST have observed this as it's a common ailment) but didn't want to tell me/thought they could make a few £££ out of me. Anyway , that was awful and I had to force feed the cat water and she got better, then because the vets didn't bother to tell me it was cat flu my other cat got it as well . So I've spent the past few weeks looking after two ill cats. Both have managed to survive due to me constantly watching over them and force feeding them water when they were at their most ill. I'm disappointed that neither vet could recognise the symptoms or withheld the information and it was left to me a general citizen who yes has studied a medical based degree but is not fluent in animal health to work it out! Quite disappointed! This should have been an easy spot.
Fantastic experience: Vets 4 pets can't fault from receptionists to the vets
Negative experience: Horrendous experience with the vaccination delays. Just called up to understand when we can get our kitten's vaccinations as we have been waiting since October and have been told they still can't give a date and that some people that have been waiting since February still haven't been seen. I then said I want to cancel the care plan as they are unable to provide the goods that we're paying for and I was told that there is a £60 charge to cancel!! In what world should we pay for cancelling an agreement when they are unable to provide the services under that agreement! The lady on the phone then advised that they have no control over charging that fee and I advised that they are a franchise and have every control over whether they charge that fee. She advised she would contact management but couldn't promise an outcome. I advised that the outcome needs to be that management will contact me to discuss further. Shocking that I've been fed so many lies and that I as a customer am not being properly looked after. I look forward to receiving that phone call from management.
Negative experience: I would NEVER EVER recommend this vets to anyone again My dog was seriously ill last Saturday she was having a stroke I rang the vets in complete breakdown mode crying to say that she needed to be seen ASAP as she was having a stroke the receptionist asked me to hold came back and said the vet didn't see it as an emergency I said are you kidding me she's having a stroke her back legs had gone her head had fallen to the side and her eyes were rolling and she looked terrified the receptionist said that all regular appointments were full I again requested that she be seen I was asked was she bleeding or breathing differently I answered in full tear mood she's having a stroke she then went away and came back again I was told it wasn't considered an emergency BUT they could offer me an appointment at either 12.30 or 2.30 ( it was 9.45 when I rang ) to see her BUT it would cost me extra as it was counted as an emergency appointment !!!!! I told her to forget it she couldn't hang on and funny how they could see her but it was at an appointment that would cost me more ( not that money would be an issue where my fur babies were concerned) so I rang a different vet who after explaining the situation signed me up to the practice there on the spot and asked how quickly I could get her there we were there within half an hour my poor baby didn't know what was happening after looking at her and getting a second opinion the conclusion was that we had to let our baby go as she was suffering and very uncomfortable and unlikely to recover the vet was so so sorry he was lovely I could not have asked for anyone better to have been there at the end had we waited for vets for pets she would have only suffered more they are not there for our pets just to see what money they can get out of you NEVER EVER GOING NEAR THEM AGAIN
Negative experience: Useless reception staff, totally unhelpful. If you've run out of empathy then you're not in the right industry.
Fantastic experience: Great service friendly staff
Negative experience: How on earth they can justify £55 for one Nexgard flea/worm tablet is beyond me. They are £6 online absolute rip off
Fantastic experience: Aways great customer service. Friendly and attentive to the pooch. She loves running up those stairs for a treat! & and added bonus is the WhatsApp service they offer!
Fantastic experience: Such a good place for your pets, the staff are lovely and very helpful! Our cat had surgery and is recovering very nicely
Negative experience: Waited for my appointment to be told someone was before me I was 10 minutes early and 40 minutes later still not seen. Waiting room was empty apart from myself, People walking in after me and going in before me. But if I was late they would of canceled me. Joke
Negative experience: I will keep it really short, they only care about taking as much money as possible from you and thats it.
Fantastic experience: Cannot fault the staff and the work they do. Keep up the great work.
Negative experience: Expensive and bad service from male vet
Fantastic experience: I recently encountered an emergency situation with my pet that required immediate attention. I was extremely grateful that the vets were able to book me into their clinic quickly. They kindly kept my dog under their care and provided me with regular updates. Upon my return, I received a very happy and healthy individuals. It was evident that they had provided medication and necessary advice during my dog's stay. The staff at the vets was highly friendly and welcoming. They demonstrated a genuine concern for my dog's well-being and ensured his comfort throughout. Their professionalism was evident in their attention to detail and their ability to provide accurate medical advice. I highly recommend the vets for their exceptional service and care. They were not only efficient in resolving my dog's emergency but also went above and beyond to ensure his happiness and comfort. Their friendly demeanor and professional approach contribute to their overall excellence as veterinarians.
Fantastic experience: Wonderful vets here, friendly reception staff also.
Positive experience: They seem to have have a shortage in kitten vaccinations (even though no other vets do) bit weird…. However saying all that when we went in for kitten spaying and checkup, the nurses and vets were always really friendly and knowledgeable. Furthermore when I wanted to move vets they gave me a refund pretty easily on the remainder months for the care plan I was on.
Fantastic experience: Madge was made most welcome at Vets4Pets, arriving in a very poorly condition after being negligently treated by a previous veterinary practitioner. The reception staff at Vets4Pets were very understanding, friendly, polite, considate and kind. Nothing was too much trouble. Immediate emergency care was given by a vet who paid attention to detail and saved her life. True professionals and the service received exceeded all expectations. The after care continued through her journey to recovery. I like the fact that the experienced vets explain the problem and concerns with my pets condition and then a treatment plan including the cost whenever we attend. Worth every penny. Couldn't be more happy and confident with the service.
Positive experience: The staff are wonderful at making sure both the pets and the owners are comfortable and respected, and they ensure that the owner understands what is being done and why. It is on the expensive side of veterinary services though, but that's why it's so important to insure your pets - this is something they're happy to help you with as well. All in all, a fantastic service.
Fantastic experience: Just moved here from park vets They are very friendly and helpful
Fantastic experience: From start to finish I cannot fault the wonderful staff here, we rushed our cat in on Friday afternoon with breathing difficulties, without question he was taken straight away for oxygen and tests, wasn’t to outcome we wanted and lost our Albie on Saturday, but just wanted to thank you all for you care of him whilst he was with you, a special thanks to Louise B you are amazing thank you.
Fantastic experience: Great vets very thorough in information pre-op and post-op after surgery . Thank all staff from reception, nurse, and vet
Negative experience: Was not very impressed today. Turned up with my dog was no issue at all they then told me I had to leave my children in the waiting room now I would understand if they were old enough to be left but when of them is 7 years old it’s not really on. Another dad went in after us and his child looked younger then my own maybe 5 ish and that child had to wait buy themselves as well. What if a child was abducted because we can’t take our child in with us. Really bad to be honest especially for single parents.
Negative experience: I am absolutely disgusted with the service of this vets! Will not be going to this vets again! Rang this morning about my rat to a receptionist that was extremely rude! My rat is registered there and when we registered her we didn’t have a name for her so just put her down as brown as that’s the colour of her! The receptionist began saying in a arrogant tone “well they wouldn’t have put her down as brown” I said they did and then she says well she’s needs a name so I had to come up on the spot with a name which isn’t hers as she wouldn’t let me proceed without this and then after she told me the exotic specialist was on holiday at the moment but she can ask through triage if any other vet would see her and I would get a call back! I got a call back about 2pm saying they would like to see her and ask for a brief history of her symptoms! She has been wheezing for a while now very loudly and it sounded like a respiratory infection which is very common in rats so I explained this and we got an appointment! I rang again an hour later as I was a bit concerned if they would do anything for her as last time she went the exotic specialist told us all our rats where fine as we have 3 and gave them a check over and that was it and we was changed £60 which we was told would be refunded as we had only had her 3 weeks from pets at home and was told my the manager there that If they need to be seen within this time that they would cover it, no refund had been given and haven’t heard anything from them about this they assured me that even though this vet was not an exotic specialist that he was a very experienced vet and was the head vet of the surgery so I agreed to take her! When we got to the appointment, this head vet was afraid to even touch her and my partner had to pin her down as he didn’t want to so he could examine her! I’ve got many videos of her making this noise and it’s very concerning however the vet said that he doesn’t think she warrants antibiotics even though this wheezing is a clear indication of an infection! So once again we went for the vet to do nothing not even handle them and was charged £50 for this! She wasn’t given anything and wasn’t even handled! Absolutely disgusting! The price is ridiculous as nothing was even done! I would not recommend this vets to anyone! Down £110 for absolutely nothing as nothing was done !
Fantastic experience: My dog recently got attacked and they went above and beyond to help when I just walked in without an appointment when it first happened.
Fantastic experience: My cat got his fur matted recently. We went to vets4pets fosse park today where we were welcomed by lovely Amanda on the reception. We were then seen by the senior vet nurse David Edwards who went above and beyond to help my cat looks and feels better. He was very friendly, caring and knowledgeable. In no time he managed to get the affected area sorted without even using clips. We went back to reception and Amanda booked both of my cats for vaccinations well in advance as the practice is very popular and tend to get very busy in the autumn. She also provided my cat with tick and flea treatment supplies to take home. I did not pay for any of the mentioned above nor I'll be paying when it's time for the vaccines as my cats are covered by their complete care plan. Thank you Vets4pets Fosse park but mostly to David today. I'm very pleased with the way you dealt with my cat's problem. Your help it's much appreciated, thank you for all you kindness. ❤️
Negative experience: They don't care if you can't afford appointment. They will make your pets suffer Look for another veterinary
Negative experience: Called to book annual vaccines for dog when due and 3 month waiting list, meaning he would go overdue and I’d have to pay for a new course of vaccines. Reception staff didn’t care. Sadly this vets is a chain that’s money driven and does not have the welfare of our pets at the forefront. I have now switched to a smaller, more independent vets and can already see a huge difference in the way my dog is being cared for.
Negative experience: Very friendly but had to wait way past appointment. Got charged £60+ for eye drops which were £8 on Internet
Fantastic experience: We sadly had to make the decision to euthanise our beloved cat Rocco. The surgery were patient, explained all the options and sent a sympathy card and forget me knot seeds in the post a week after. Most unexpected and kind
Fantastic experience: We can not Thank Vets 4 Pets Fosse Park enough for everything after losing our pooch Lilly, so grateful, and they sent a lovely card and forget me not seeds.. so respectful and kind
Fantastic experience: They looked at my cat at short notice, very friendly staff, they checked him over and gave him the medicine he needed!
Fantastic experience: Alway very friendly receptionists and the vets are very caring and knowledgeable
Fantastic experience: Staff have always been friendly and helpful. They've looked after us incredibly well through the care of all our rabbits, and been amazing when we've had to say goodbye to them. After care is good, and although we don't often get to see the same vet they make an effort to remember you.
Fantastic experience: They care about your pets as if they were thier own. So helpful everything explained and a pleasure to meet
Fantastic experience: I was distraught because I thought my 11 year old Dalmatian was going to be put down because she couldn’t walk but the vet explained that she’s suffering with arthritis and gave her medication. It has been 3 days and she’s doing brilliant. Couldn’t thank the vet and receptionist enough for the comfort and service they provided. Thank you
Fantastic experience: Staff was really lovely and helpful. Also the nurse was vert good as well .
Positive experience: Not great, I wanted to get confirmation of the leg being broken, took Dougie in the back, came out 10 mins later, They think it could be broken they can hear clicking. Charged £76 for something I'd guessed. Was a major issue. And an estimated bill to treat him of over £400. Seems money is there object, not the pet.
Fantastic experience: Service of the nurse and vet during an emergency with one of our dogs, Bertie, was very much appreciated and also the courtesy shown to us as we were quite worried aboutnhim
Fantastic experience: All of the staff are always very friendly and helpful
Fantastic experience: Clean and tidy nice welcome happy with service
Fantastic experience: Dog came in for routine spay but serious complications arose. We were contacted and advised to come to the vets straight away. All staff showed such kindness, compassion and sensitivity towards both us and our pet the whole time and worked tirelessly to save her. Staff kept us up to date as procedure continued and ensured that we could see our pet asap. Excellent communication and after care given too. We are very grateful
Fantastic experience: Never a problem. Only letdown is the parking
Positive experience: Managed to get an appointment on the same day, nurse was helpful and informative. Reception staff were not very friendly or welcoming.
Fantastic experience: Friendly caring team all the way, quick to respond and follow up. Very thankful. ❤️
Positive experience: The center is clean from what one sees at first glance. The doctors I consulted with were very kind. Honestly I don't give 5 stars because the prices are high and honestly they could lower them. I honestly hope my furry friend never needs it.
Negative experience: I wouldn’t even give a 1 star, I had my puppy for 3 weeks and in that 3 weeks she seemed a little poorly I rang this vets multiple times about her health, and all I got was aslong as she’s eating and drinking she’s fine, and it’s just her breed, I eventually took her to an appointment as she was getting new symptoms, was told she had pneumonia they took stuff of to make the payment go down as I couldn’t afford it which I think is disgusting, my puppy was so much worse when I picked her up, I took her vets twice over two days, the last time I took her they told me she could be lacking oxygen but let her back into my care I asked multiple times what kind of chance did she have and I didn’t really get an answer she got so poorly on Thursday night I had to take her to medivet who told me she had no chance of coming back from what she had and had to make a decision to put her to sleep, I personally think vetsforpets failed my little girl and I will never be taking any of my animals here again, receptionist ladies where lovely but the vets themselves made me feel like I did this to my lovely little pup!
Fantastic experience: Every thing went as it should and on time. My dog though nervous wasn't frightened.
Fantastic experience: The way our beloved cat prince was treated was excellent
Fantastic experience: I found the visit friendly and informative by the vet. The nurse was very good with Charlie too. Receptionists are very friendly and helpful.
Fantastic experience: My dog being very poorly I entered pets at home I and was greeted by a lovely friendly lady. Upstairs the lady vet went above and beyond. Sonja was absolutely amazing! Very caring, friendly, honest and knowledgeable. This vet certainly knows her profession. Our dog is still under treatment, but he is definitely in very good hands with Sonja. Thank you so much for all your kindness
Fantastic experience: Just can tell the staff care about the animals polite and friendly and being open sundays really helps us as with two cats it need two people to bring them and we work Monday to Saturday between us
Hi Harry, We recognise that being open 7 days a week is of great benefit for pet lovers and we certainly do care about animals as majority of our team have pets themselves!! Thank you for taking the time to leave your lovely comment.
Negative experience: My cat had 2 vacinations at a previous vet no problem. This people give her a vacination without explaining to us clearly the side effects just she might get dizzy. A week later my cat becomes so ill that nearly died. The vacinne they gave her Novibac had really bad press but they use it. The cat is so ill that the lady in reception said do not worry for a month. A day later my cat is in immense pain everywhere I call them saying it might be side effects. They want to charge 60 pounds for consultation 122 pounds for bloods they charged 75 pounds for antibiotics that you can buy online for 11 pounds. And another 60 pounds gor a follow up. Anf yes is a side egof their vacine cat has an infection. Manager does not reply to emails. I reported it to the authorities for danger of product. They wanted 400 pounds and it was their fault. A week later manager no reply from the manager. Awful. Two medications cost 75 pounds on line 22 pounds. Rip off playing on people's ignorance
Positive experience: Very busy but the staff seem nice.
Fantastic experience: Had many years of good service by the staff and the wonderful vets at FOSSE PARK.
Positive experience: Bit expensive, as are all vets. Nice staff, especially Joe on reception.
Negative experience: Our cat has been missing for months because they told the people that found our 10 year old female, nuetered and chipped cat that she is a juvenile un-neutered male without a chip. Months of worrying and heartbreak because they can't even identify a cat. There aren't words for how angry we are. Absolute joke
Fantastic experience: Great veterinary surgery all staff are friendly & polite.
Fantastic experience: I couldnt find a vet so I emailed saying he was ill and they got him seen the next day, he still has a operation booked in on 1st November but feel confident they will look after him with all his needs catered for.staff are lovely.
Negative experience: They are a commercial operation and are in it for the money ONLY. Very poor reception skills, rude no smiles and generally have crazy sets of "rules" and double standards eg: badly typed notice saying if your 5 minutes late they won't see your pet yet I had an appointment at 345pm and was kept waiting for 35 minutes ! But that seems to be OK, no apologies. Very very poor customer service. If I could give no stars I would and they still have a badly typed scruffy notice at the bottom of the stairs saying"you are still required to call" before going up the stairs because of covid !! Hello ..covids over stop being so dramatic!
Fantastic experience: My dog has recently had a tumour removed from her leg the operation went really well and the recovery has been a dream the vet team did an amazing job where she had it removed It is healing so neat and tidy and the care they show after is fantastic. Could never ask for a nicer more reassuring place to take my dog.
Negative experience: Unprofessional and no care for your pets. All they want is your money. Will never step foot in there again.
Fantastic experience: took my cat for castration. staff friendly and professional. took care of him even after had a check up. reasonable pricing too.would 100% recommend.
Negative experience: Wonder were my review has gone, no reply to my email of concerns either, suspious that. Very poor service, absolutely no duty of care. No I would never recommend
Fantastic experience: I was treated with friendliness, curtesy, and Bandit was treated as if the pet was the vets own Gabrial was amazing, being in the consulting room brought back the day my other cat had to be put down due to cancer, so I started to cry Gabrial was very kind and sensitive to the situation and my feelings, he examined Bandit with care explained the possible causes and then took her to have a blood test, 24hrs later he called to say that she had an over active thyroid and she would have to have another blood test due to a mix up, an appointment was made and confirmed, the service my cat and myself received was impeccable I wish the NHS was the same thank you team and well done
Fantastic experience: We saw vet Sameer again and he's lovely. Kind, caring and knowledgeable. He was also personally recommended to us 2 years ago by a pet rescue centre as a rabbit expert.
Fantastic experience: the staff at pets at home fosse park , From reception staff , nurses, and the vets them selfs if it had been for these people my dog wouldnt be alive to day at 18 months he had liver failure , with in 30 minuets i was at the surgury and kye ( my dog) was having examination ,put on drip ,injections and all the other things that had to be done. he was put on a drip and needed 24 /7 care for 3 days . nothing was to much trouble for ANY of the staff i myself was in tears but they also took care of me , and each day i went in it was like going to freinds as they asked how i was and kept me goin while kye was so ill. Yes he recovered, but since the hes had a few miss happs all his oown fault ( he a little Hudeany ) or thinks he is . All i can say is theses people put there heart and soul in looking after the animal in there care ,and NOTHING is to much trouble for them I wouldnt change to any other vets Kye and myself say big thank you for all you have done for Kye THANK YOU , THANK YOU
Hi Lynn, It was a real pleasure looking after Kye and yourself at a time of need. That is what the team and myself are here for. To support and improve the loved ones health and wellbeing! Thank you for taking the time to leave us your splendid feedback.
Negative experience: Not a good experience with these vets. No duty of care towards our dog, we felt like all they wanted was our money (nearly 4k). Our girl age only just turned 3 years went in to be spayed, she died 2 weeks later, something went terribly wrong during that operation but we will never know the truth. We felt like we were kept in the dark and strung along by a particular vet. We will never return in the future and we certainly will not recommend to anyone else! If you want your pets to be cared for then DO NOT take them here.
Fantastic experience: The difference from my previous vet is like night and day. Both the reception staff and vet were very understanding of how scared my dog is of the vets and took their time to try and win him over. They were so kind, gentle and I didn't feel we were being rushed at all. I cannot tell you what a difference this makes for both me and my pet. Very happy with my decision to move!
Positive experience: These vets have been a life saver, literally. Going above and beyond. (If other vets charge less it's because they're doing less...) And receptionists (mostly) are incredibly patient and helpful, I am Autistic and worry a LOT so while dog is ill and waiting for surgery I've been calling most days to check on things and update her files and they've (usually) been lovely. Unfortunately I have had trouble getting help or advice on a couple of occasions and felt very much dismissed, as well as feeling like I've not been given all the information upfront at other times. I do really appreciate the continued enforcement of Pandemic protections in appointments, meaning I can access this essential service and feel safe, ish. Thank you so much.
Positive experience: Not always accurate in the diagnosis. Have difficulty understanding done if the vets too.
Negative experience: Absolutely poor service. No care was given to my kittens, the vet even bumped 1 of my kittens head on the table, never apologised or rubbed the kittens head. Within 10 minutes of being out the vets, I registered my kittens with another vets. Completely avoid
Negative experience: Rude receptionists! Whenever I visit, they make me to wait even though they are free, sometimes this is as long as 15 minutes. When it's my turn they go on the telephone or start to speak to other colleagues, not even to say a hello. I will look for other vets in the future.
Fantastic experience: Easy to use contact form on line. Rang me back same day.
Fantastic experience: The cat food was delivered on time for quick collection.
Fantastic experience: My dog had an operation here recently, staff were fantastic with him. Cant thank them enough for all their care
Negative experience: Second year in a row that both our cats are unable to get their vaccine due to appointment issues. This year the cats will be 5 months after they are suppose to get their vaccine!!! We are having to cancel a holiday as we can not get them into a single Cattery now! Disgusting service and waste of money buying the vac for life ! Avoid !!
Hi Daniel, Thank you for taking the time to rate your experience with us.
Negative experience: Been here a fair few times in the past, the vets and staff are lovely, the only problem that bugs me every time is the obvious intent to charge extra just to get more money out of customers. It's wrong to try and charge on every visit a "sample to send to the lab". Every time the bill comes it jumps by £100. When questioned its "oh we want to send a sample to a lab to get tested for this or that". They should explain the reason to the customer instead of just trying to add it to the bill hoping the customer just pays. Its called a con job unfortunately.
Negative experience: Sent an appointment request for vaccinations and they sent back saying no can't get my pet in because she has never been checked by us previously. I know that there is a shortage of vaccinations so don't use the vet check as an excuse! I'm already registered with you so poor excuses. Tell your customers the truth!
Fantastic experience: Was very happy. They got me in straight the way. Plus my dog plays up if she with me. She went straight in with nurce Was delt with very quickly. Very happy
Negative experience: I never leave negative reviews, I believe the positive in the world should be exploited and potential business gained on that alone. However, this is not so pleasant unfortunately. I booked my dog in for a check up as she'd had bad breath, not unusual, normally happened when she was in season. I realised that the bad breath had become more of a permanent resident and wanted to get it checked out. I booked an appointment seamlessly with this branch (which has cared for both our dogs since pups). They have had regular check ups until the COVID put a bit of a blinker on things, with nothing major noted. Anyway, I attended the appointment with dog breath, waited a short time and was invited to the examination room by the Vet. The pleasant lady, a qualified Vet informed me that my dog will require nine extractions, major dental work to the gums also. There was also mention that liver and kidney treatment would be probable due to the terrible condition of her mouth. Of course encountering further costs I enquired to the cost of eradicating her bad breath................£1000.00 minimum, it could rise four fold due to her size (tiny dog). Repeated treatments required as she could not possibly survive the procedure to rectify all issues at once. SHOCKER I know, no insurance, I'll find the money!!!!! Whilst there, I requested vax boosters for both our dogs..............All booked for March due to the shortage of vaccines as advised by Pets4Profits. While I implicitly understand the fundamentals of business, I feel that the particular VET??? I was dealing with had no interest in the health of my dog, just appeared to be a cash count. My wife mentioned it to a friend, they recommended another local practice . We duly booked her in for a second opinion. Easy appointment, although not registered with them, very little waiting time in their reception. A Vet called us in, spent around 10 minutes examining my dog. Prognosis was bad, 2 extractions, thorough clean to the rest of the teeth and gums, £350.00............Go figure? Also both our dog booked in the following week for their jabs - There is no shortage! Needless to say, we wont be visiting again, be careful.
Fantastic experience: The staff are caring and thoughtful and go out there way for you
Negative experience: My dog is really sick and every time go back to vets And we start again same treatment and with a new bill. Dog is still ill with no end in sign.
Positive experience: Very helpful stuff. Expensive, 100% profit driven. It should be owned by a family or local business rather then a big company who wants to make more money.
Fantastic experience: Did a great job looking after my cat.
