Fantastic experience: My dogs (Oreo and Biscoff) love going to vets4pets on hall road. The staff are so kind, attentive, supportive, and compassionate. They show care and love to all of the animals and pet owners and gave a personable approach which makes the visit so comforting. Big shout out to Laura, Melissa and Lina who are just incredible.

Fantastic experience: I don't have the easiest of dogs,the vet Matt was brilliant and made our visit as easy as he could. Laura on reception was really lovely too. Thank you from Lynn Allen and Milo the dog.

Fantastic experience: The team at Vets4pets Hall Road were able to get our cat in last minute and we had a great experience with them. They couldn’t do enough for us! I contacted the team during the day on WhatsApp for advice on what to do believe her name was (Grayce) they was able to give me the information I needed quickly with advice on what to do best for my cat, I was very grateful for the help. I then went into the store, the store closed in 30 minutes and the team were more than happy to give us the best support for our cat as this was an emergency. The front desk team Emma and Louise got us checked in quickly and was so friendly with us, they managed to get us a vet within minutes to look at our cat! So friendly and welcoming team. We then saw the vet Max who looked at our cat, he was fantastic! He was so professional and calm. Our cat is a feral cat but he had such good control of him and our cat was so comfortable around him. Max done a full check on our cat and done multiple test, our cat had a full check, diagnosed and got medication all within 20 minutes! We are so grateful for the team at Hall Road, they have put us at ease and ensured our cat had the best health! We couldn’t recommend the team enough especially for an emergency. Thank you for all you advice and help.

Fantastic experience: I have been very impressed with the care received around our cat's neutering surgery. Communication was excellent, pre op instructions clear. Admission was professional and friendly. We had updates on the day. On collection we received precise verbal and written post op instructions and a 24 hour contact number incase of complications. The following day I received a WhatsApp message enquiring about the progress. Two wound checks to come. Very flexible with appointments. It's all been very good and I'm very grateful.

Fantastic experience: I took Pepsi in for her biannual claw clipping extreme reactionary hissy fit session. Reception was polite and professional and Laura with 2 assistants managed to deal with Pepsi. They were lovely as usual and so calm considering her behaviour. The price was reasonable considering all involved in what should be such a simple matter. I dealt with Alice at reception and everyone was so nice and polite. See attached pic of the oh so innocent Pepsi....

Fantastic experience: What a wonderful practice! Cagney went in with an eye infection and was affectionately greeted by Laura and her colleague on the front desk. Cagney's appointment with Stephan was thorough and professional, with Stephan getting to grips with the issue straight away. He was also teaching his vet student Tom. Both Tom and Stephan were delightful with Cagney and had an inordinate amount of patience when getting her to settle to have her eye examined. Their humour was much appreciated too as I was a little concerned. Would not hesitate to recommend...thank you so much!

She has supported not just my 2 cats, but also me, as I've been a blubbering reck both times. I cannot express my gratitude towards her but also the wonderful staff on the reception. Fantastic experience: I came for Mabels 1st year jabs , Donna helped at the front desk and was really helpful with all my questions, Mable won her over and she had a couple of treats . When I was called in to the clinic room I had Max , after introducing himself to me he got on with making friend with Mabel ☺️ . Again I have nothing but praze for him as he was patient and answered all my questions. After Mabels jab and check up . Very happy with our visit today. Thank you

Fantastic experience: Switched all three of our cats here today as rates are much more affordable. I came and set up a healthcare plan with them for a really good price. I was seen by Matt, who clearly liked cats and had a great knowledge. Matt was great with our kitten and even our more grumpy old lady. Emma at reception was incredibly helpful and went through all the paperwork with us. She was friendly, comprehensive and did a great job. Would really commend switching here!

Fantastic experience: The reception team are amazing so kind & attentive, nothing is too much trouble, dealt with my issues with care & kindness. The vet team are also second to none. I think I’ve seen them all. My Monty has anxiety issues and they treat him so kindly and with the utmost patience. I’ve called first thing this morning because my angel dog is so poorly but antibiotics have been ready within 20 minutes & he’s back to old self again and he’s fighting to see another few weeks thanks to their swift action! Fantastic experience: Took my frenchie for a kennel cough vaccination. Louise was on a busy reception desk. She has helped me so many times in the past couple of years, and always very friendly, extremely helpful and nothing is too much trouble. She was very sympathetic when I lost my previous dog too. Fantastic experience: All the staff are great. Over the phone, WhatsApp and especially in person. They are always patient and kind. Today I saw one of the vets, Melissa who was really helpful and informative. I also forgot to charge my phone before coming out, so Emma on reception raced around trying to find numerous cables, from other members of staff, for me to charge my phone, so I could get petrol, as I had driven in on a near empty tank of petrol. She said I could pay over the phone when I got home. Ive been going here for nearly 14 years and they have been consistently great. Totally recommend!

Fantastic experience: Stephan never rushes you and takes as long as you need. All the reception staff are friendly. Nat and Emma on my last visit made me and my dog feel welcome and made a fuss of the dog and took time to have a chat with me and asked after her.

Fantastic experience: Both of my pets (cat and dog) are registered at Vets4Pets Hall Road, and we’ve always found the team great — but we’ve had an especially positive experience recently. My dog, Rafa, was castrated there a couple of weeks ago, and I was quite anxious leaving him for his procedure. The team kept me updated throughout the day and even sent photos of him enjoying lots of fuss in recovery, which really put my mind at ease. He was a little unwell in the days afterwards, but the team were so reassuring during our checkups. A special shoutout to nurse Chloe, who also looked after him on surgery day — it’s so clear how much care she gives to the animals. Rafa absolutely adores her and never wants to leave our appointments, which says it all! I’m so grateful that he now associates the vets with cuddles rather than fear — a true testament to how well he was cared for. Thank you to everyone at Vets4Pets Hall Road for looking after him so well!

Positive experience: Friendly staff. Clean store with good selection. Awful clients who leave dog poo outside though!

Negative experience: Very poor experience when asked for prescription request, which would have been given only with another visit which is not required. Likely only because I asked for a prescription to get medication on line (as significantly cheaper rate) - this was after being told at the time of initial visit that this medication can be given on repeat for up to 6 months. Poor explanation as to why visit was required.

Negative experience: I took my dog to Vets4Pets Hall Road after he suddenly lost coordination in his back legs and showed worrying signs like eye flickering and confusion. Despite this being an obvious emergency, the vet barely considered any serious causes and dismissed it as possibly a blood clot — but offered no proper early tests or blood work to support that. I asked about a stroke and was told it was “incredibly unlikely.” I was shocked by how little was done, especially given his age and symptoms. No bloods were taken, and I was given a referral estimate of £3,000–£5,000 without even basic in-house checks. I sought a second opinion 90 minutes later from hethersett vets and was told he had a likely stroke or a severe ear infection — something the first vet completely missed (all the symptoms mentioned above upon research were glaring signs). The second vet took his condition seriously, ran blood tests, did an ultrasound, and started proper treatment straight away, Thankfully my dog is on the mend thanks to proper prescribed treatment. What’s most worrying is that they completely missed a severe ear infection that was found by another vet just 90 minutes later. That infection had caused the neurological symptoms, and the second vet immediately started treatment with antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, and ear medication after doing proper tests. The original painkillers Vets4Pets gave would have done nothing to treat the root cause — and if we had followed their advice, my dog’s condition could have worsened rapidly, possibly even fatally. I raised a formal complaint to which off course they deny any wrong doing and this is currently going via the ombudsman. Please if you take anything from this review if the advice from the vet doesn't sound right. Please seek a second opinion from an independent vet at another practice.

Fantastic experience: January 2025 Our 4 year old pug hadn’t been eating properly for two to three weeks, prior to that she’d been in season, we just assumed she was unwell, a few days later we decided to take her to the vets, we where shocked to discover she possibly had phyomitra which we’d never heard of, if we had known about that we would have had our dog spayed ages ago!! Long story short dr Robert walker saved our dogs life, and saved us thousands of pounds on an expensive operation, he was profoundly sympathetic extremely knowledgeable and genuinely cared, a top bloke who I would highly recommend, out of the three vets4pets in Norwich salhouse road is our only choice and it’s the furthest away from our home! If your dog gets phyomitra ask for Rob!!!!!!…….

Negative experience: Reception staff are always very friendly i can't fault. As a company as a whole disgusting. Offered 9 xrays on a cats ankle for £1500 that materialises there is no actual treatment for a broken ankle other than rest so why xray at that cost?? £100 for human epilepsy drugs that cost pence. Then requested to return over 2 weeks later at a £45 cost for 5 minutes which I wasn't even warned there would be a charge. I would not of come back nor did I feel I needed to return to incure that extra charge. Vets make a fortune relying on people's heart strings NOT on what is necessary and affordable for the animals best interest. How many animals are left in pain because people can't pay their crazy prices! I'm sure vets don't train to cause animals suffering

Fantastic experience: My dog is very big & grumpy But the staff are so good with him they prompt & a good calm atmosphere to keep pets chilled.

Negative experience: Charge for what you don't ask for and ignore What you tell them charged me £130.00 for flea drops and steroid didn't listen to me as my chaiwaiha need an injection total rip off went to toll barn vets they listened to me and treated my dog with injection and steroids all for £97.00 all good now. WILL NEVER GO TO VETS 4 PETS EVER AGAIN TOTAL WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY ...!!ADVOID !!.

Negative experience: This review or number of stars is for their policy of not accepting returns of sealed, unopened, unbroached oral anti-inflammatory and a tin of cat food that was dispensed/prescribed less than an hour prior. My pet ended up not needing the products so I attempted to return it but, no.

Negative experience: I had been registered with this practice for over 10 years without the need for any major work until recently when my dog required an operation for an obstuction in his intestine. They assured me that an anesthetic would not be a problem. It was considered a fairly urgent and delicate operation but he was still sent home following this (Friday!) and died 36hrs later without any follow up from them. So much for professional care!

Fantastic experience: We've been going to the Hall Rd Vets4pets with our two cats for about 4 years now. The service they provide is absolutely top notch and unfailingly professional. Everyone there is friendly and reassuring, and the level of care that pets and owners receive is second to none. From short notice appointments to long term treatment, they've always seen us, and our furry overlords right. Thanks team!

Fantastic experience: 12 years ago i lost my Rusty i had for 18 years , and today i lost my other dog i had for 14 years the 2 most traumatic times in my life vet Stefan was there, i have had pets my whole life and still have 8 dogs and 5 cats today i had my baby strawberry pts and half the battle dealing with it was when i found out Stefan was still at pets at home i new my baby was in the right hands ( i thought he’d left ) i dont trust vets and have never met one in my 40 years of owning pets one that has ever cared about the Animal only the money untill Stephan i know being a vet is a living to make but he cares more for the Animal than he does the financial side 1000% recommendation PETS AT HOME HALL ROAD VET STEFAN AND ASSISTANT MILLY ❤️thankyou x ps sorry wouldn’t recommend ANY othet vets or branch its all about the money

Fantastic experience: Good vets, usually very quick to get an appointment. Conveniently located to the south of the city and has plenty of free parking. Vets seem to be very good at handling dogs . Only improvement could be the waiting area as it's difficult to hold more than one dog so close together.

Fantastic experience: They were very lovely and understanding staff members. They helped me make decisions about my cat’s end of life without pressuring me or making me feel judged, they were very supportive, gave me lots of options and overall they were very kind.

Negative experience: Took our cat to have a couple of teeth removed and instead of doing the procedure he was left in a total state having had two lots of sedative. At 11pm at night he was still passed out and not responsive. The emergency vet would have given him something to counter this if we had known what sedative he was given. Very worrying and would never take one of our pets there again.

Fantastic experience: The Vet was extremely competent and friendly, my pets were quite taken with them. It made the visit less traumatic and therefore smoother.

Negative experience: Disappointed The Vets gave my kitten her first vacine which she had a reaction too. So when the second vaccination was due , the vet said they would get hold of an alternative to use, only to be told they can't get an alternative and I need to find another vet to take her too. Now left me searching for a vetenary surgery that will administer a vaccine that I know nothing about, nor will the new vet be familiar with my cat and her history.

Fantastic experience: Telephoned for Pearl's flea treatment and explained that I didn't have scales to weigh her, was told to bring her in. Whilst at vets asked about nail clipping and was seen straight away and Ella the veterinary nurse was very pleasant and polite with Pearl gave her a fuss and Pearl was very content with all the attention from reception staff as well.

There was some confusion around the final price, because I mistakenly believed my rabbits were on the healthcare plan but the receptionist assisted me with setting this up and were very helpful. Negative experience: I went there with my dog and was wrongly diagnosed on treatment now leading to surgery both ear infections and a hole in the ear drum where missed so I left there paying for treatment and being told my dog was absolutely fine. If I could get him in anywhere else I certainly wouldn’t go back! Only person i trust in there is Stephan but you can’t get hold of him. All In all after being with them for 11 years I can honestly say stay away unless you want a big bill and to leave there unhappy and skint!!

Fantastic experience: To me it was an emergency and the staff dealt with it perfectly and put my mind at rest that it probably would be okay but to monitor the situation carefully, if in any doubt call in as an emergency again. The medication seems to have worked and she is on the mend now. Thank you

Negative experience: Vets4pets forgot to take my initial policy payment in house and then kept sending demands for payment because of this omission. Had to go to head office to determine what the letters were for because i was unawares of this missed payment. Paid immediately...however Vets4pets then went on to take 12 (not 11) payments from my bank. Asked Vets4pets twice by email why the money was taken - ignored and ignored. Notably when £ is owed to them they are far more 'active'. NEVER AGAIN just a ££££ firm.

Negative experience: I've been with them for many years. Very happy in begining but now it's worse than doctors trying to get an appointment. I'm not prepared to wait two months to get my dog spayed after they called to cancel original procedure the day before. If you want to make an appointment for pet you have to ring first thing in the morning, if you can get through and then you're told sorry all appointments have gone in first half hour. Very disappointing.

Fantastic experience: The care and treatment offered here has always been excellent. The staff show great sensitivity and are always kind. They listen and provide advice, even when it is difficult to hear. The empathy they show is exemplary.

Fantastic experience: I ordered repeat drugs. The reason for a vet consultation was explained and an appointment made to match the medicine availability. Vet (Steffan) is always friendly, knowledgeable and has dog's best interest at heart. Good advice given and well explained.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly welcome at Reception. I liked the fact that there was a specific area for cats. Didn't have to wait long for vet. Once Lilo had been examined the vet was very clear with her diagnosis and what next steps would be. Expected a higher bill due to booking as an emergency. Fantastic experience: I had 2 cats being neutered on different days and one dog having a vaccination that was out of stock on a previous visit the staff were very helpful and managed to tie in all check ups and appointments together so minimal visits were made. I always find the staff here very nice and helpful.
