Fantastic experience: I can’t thank Vets4Pets enough for the compassion they showed us in Ralph’s final moments. Having to say goodbye to our dog Ralph was heartbreaking, but James was calm, kind, and incredibly respectful throughout. He explained everything gently, gave us time, and made sure Ralph was comfortable and at peace. The lady who supported James on the day (I can’t remember her name) was also amazing, so caring and reassuring, and it genuinely helped us through the hardest decision we’ve ever had to make. Thank you, James and the whole team, for treating Ralph with such dignity and for looking after us as well.

Negative experience: We have been going to Sprowston vets for around 18 years now. Our rescue dog which we've had for four and a half years has been to the vets what feels like constantly, multiple eye ulcers, eye operation, diamond burr procedures, fatty lump operation, ear problem with sedation, urine problem, so she's has seen many vets and the Ophthalmologist. However, she has seen one particular vet twice, the last time being Sunday 15th February. If we can we normally ask to see our regular vet but this was a last minute appointment so obviously we are happy to see any vet. The first thing Sergio asks is, is she friendly, I reminded him he has seen her before for an eye ulcer, hoping that he'd not show his fear which I noticed the first time seeing him. My dog had gone from chilling on the sofa to a loud yelp the night before, she continued to yelp and held up her back leg but eventually stopped, she just wasn't right in the morning so I rang the vets and got an appointment. Obviously Sergio needed to examine Gracie's leg. We put her up on the table, my partner was holding her, the vet then checked her spine and her leg, as he felt around Gracie's leg, she yelped, now this yelp was a mild yelp in comparison to the night before, but was still a yelp, not a growl a snarl or a bark, it was indeed the normal reaction of any dog that has just had a vet touch an area that caused them some pain. I was shocked at the reaction from Sergio, he immediately put up both of his arms stood upright and froze, what other way would my dog have been able to let the vet know he'd found the area of concern and had my partner not been holding Gracie, she would have been off that table as he'd frozen. I can't comment if this vet is the same with all dogs but what I do know is that for absolutely no reason he has a fear of mine, and that is the last thing I want when my dog is ill or in pain. My dog and any dog needs a vet who is calm and does not show fear, I saw it in him the first time and the second time was worse, I feel this vet would not examine my dog thoroughly because of this fear, so for that reason we will not see him again.

Fantastic experience: Felt really well supported by fantastic vet Alex who cared for our cat Ziggy through a challenging condition and through to the end of his life, we felt thoroughly looked after with in person appointments, phone and email support. They have helped us with our insurance claims and we even got a sweet remembrance card after we sadly lost him. I would absolutely recommend this veterinary practice and definitely use them again in the future.

Fantastic experience: A Massive Thank You Diana Haven't had a Dog in years and we'd been given a 2 year old Pug cross Frenchie to care for unfortunately she jumped out the car and got hit by a car.. I was in absolute bits and didn't know what too do thankfully Diana sorted and got Maggie seen as soon as.. Thankfully Maggie was a very lucky lady and just a couple of bruises and couple of scratches ❤️ A Massive Thank You.. Love and Licks Miss Maggie Moo x

Fantastic experience: Just a big thank you for Jess for looking after Tilly. Jess has a lovely manner, cheerful and very knowledgeable. Sprowston is the furthest pets at home from us, but if Tilly needs vet care, we are happy to drive the extra miles because of the care she received.

Fantastic experience: I honestly cannot speak higher of a vets than these guys. I have unfortunately lost 2x pets and the kindness that was shown was next to none. They are compassionate, patient and tried to make the whole process as painless as they possibly could. Thank you for being brilliant ❤️

Fantastic experience: Highly recommended! I don’t even know where to start—my experience with this veterinary clinic was exceptional from beginning to end. The receptionist was incredibly kind and did everything possible to find an urgent appointment for my unwell pet (Smokey). Once we arrived, the nurse who saw him was attentive, compassionate, and explained every step of the process clearly, including the urgency of the surgery and all the associated risks. They even provided detailed information about another clinic as an option, but also walked me through the prices and process if they were to perform the surgery themselves. After the procedure, Dr. Rob came to speak with me and carefully explained how the surgery went, what to expect afterward, and any potential risks—which I greatly appreciated. Even though it was already past their closing time, the nurses Chloe and Georgia took the time to explain all the medications, and make sure I fully understood the aftercare. The follow-up checks were just as thorough. Each nurse was attentive and genuinely caring. I cannot recommend this veterinary team enough. They were professional, detailed, transparent about prices, and truly dedicated to making sure my pet was well looked after. Highly recommended!

Negative experience: Great, kind and friendly vets. Reception staff generally good as well. Severely let down by their booking system. You have to phone at the beginning of the day to book an appointment for the same day. No advance booking available. Multiple times I phoned at opening time, waited on hold for 20mins, only to be told no further appointments for that day available. Left the practice for a different vets that was able to provide an appointment same day and does do advance bookings.

Positive experience: Took our little dog here he accidentally swallowed some grapes they gave him an injection which made him sick and the grapes came up, they wanted to do bloods and a flush but after a chat they agreed that if all the grapes came up it shouldn't be needed, charcoal drops to flush out the system worked a treat. Only thing I was a bit annoyed about we called the at 4:15 and they said after 4:45 it would be after hours treatment well we got there 4:48 and they slammed me an extra fee for this. Seeing we had told them we'd be there soon as we're on vacation about 30 mins away and we had pre arranged coming you'd think they'd of wavered the after hours payment. But no bit greedy practices we have been customers for over 20 years so contemplating going elsewhere now. Hugo is OK too thats the main thing

Fantastic experience: We have been with what’s now called Vets 4 Pets for over 20 years and cannot fault their dedication to the pets under their care. Rob, Riann and their team are outstanding in their compassion, understanding and clinical expertise and we’re so very grateful for everything they’ve done for us over the years, especially their support over these last few months which have been particularly challenging for us with 2 of our cats. It’s made a difficult time easier to bear.

Fantastic experience: Last Friday we had to put down our retreiver Charlie. In the weeks leading up to the appointment, the day itself and the follow up - the service from everyone at Vets for Pets has been caring, considerate and very touching. This includes the sympathy card we received today. Thank you everyone for making a very difficult event as special as it could be.

Negative experience: Used to be an excellent Vets. The receptionists still are but the last two visits with our dog has left us rushed and not a thorough health check. Feel more like a number going through the conveyor belt. Very sad to leave, but there are better vets out there now.

Fantastic experience: I want to thank the vet and the team for helping my kitty Layla get seen today. I texted the WhatsApp number and got a call back immediately, and received an offer for an emergency appointment within an hour. The team were super kind and understandable in me being a few minutes late, which I greatly appreciate. The vet was super lovely and gave us a very well-informed run-down of each treatment option. Helped reassure me that Layla was okay from what was seen, and was happy to ask for help administering Layla's first dose of medication as we have had trouble with tableting in the past. I managed to give the second half of her tablet perfectly fine, and though I had to get a bit creative with the Katalax paste (squeezing the amount onto a clean finger then applying it onto Layla's tongue), she took it well and is happy. Thank you for all the help!!!

Fantastic experience: My baby girl has received the most brilliant support and care by everyone that I’ve dealt with since being registered the past year or so. Their compassion, patient/owner preferences and communication has been excellent. Fantastic experience: My husband and I had recently moved to the area from Chelmsford. My lovely elderly cat Jasper became seriously ill over a very short period of time and we had to come to terms to finally say goodbye to him. It was absolutely heartbreaking but the front of desk staff and professional staff, vet, couldn't have been kinder. They found me an emergency appointment without any trouble on a Saturday morning. Although the whole process is terribly upsetting they shown kindness and care to us and most importantly Jasper throughout. I continue to use this surgery in Sprowston Retail Park for my other beautiful cat Archie. Lovely professional staff highly recommended thank you.

Fantastic experience: Alex and Sergio took excellent care of my 13 year old cat when she was attacked by a wild animal and left with severe injuries. I was able to get same day appointments on multiple occasions. Alex and Sergio’s knowledge, treatment and genuine care for my cat has led her to a full recovery and she is now a happy, playful cat once again! Sergio went above and beyond by calling me to check in on my cat after the practice had closed too. I can’t thank them both enough!

Negative experience: Always been here and never normally had a problem. My dog has a fear of vets from when he was neutered at another place. Went there today and he needed an injection, he was clearly nervous and scared and being a larger breed that can be a bit intimidating. My dog ended up excreting his anal glands due to stress, he’s 4 years old and never done this before, but the vet still decided to continue trying to do the injection. He was unable to do the injection and said we could give oral tablets instead, I don’t know why he didn’t do this from the get go when he saw how stressed my dog was. It was a very unprofessional way to handle the situation and no consideration for my already nervous dog. I’m extremely reluctant to take him here again and will be looking for a different vet.

Negative experience: If there was an option to leave zero stars I would. Our dog is extremely nervous and this was made clear on multiple occasions. Conflicting advice, poor care, unprofessional comments as well as lack of empathy and due diligence. Would not recommend and will be escalating my concerns further.

Fantastic experience: Second visit to get my two cats vaccinated. Significant savings when you use their Complete Care plan plus discounts to use in Pets at Home. Friendly staff and plentiful parking. Recommended

Fantastic experience: The service is very good - the only downside is that you can’t prebook an appointment for example, for next week. You need to call on the day for same day appointment.

Fantastic experience: Very very caring attitude, allowing us and my super nervous ex-feral cat to enter the treatment room via a different door so she didn't have to wait in the waiting room.

Positive experience: Both the retail store and upstairs veterinary practice is quite nice. You can usually get most of your pet related goods here and the vets themselves have always been polite. My personal points for improvement? Start selling horses.

Fantastic experience: Always find the staff very helpful and super lovely here. Appointments have been easy to come by. Being inside pets at home helps my dogs with any vet anxieties, as they enjoy a wander around and occasional free biscuit on the floor!

Negative experience: Awful experience with vets4pets. Rude reception staff/ snotty & judgemental asking how you intend to pay before treatment. James the vet is only interested in upselling ,far-fetched diagnoses just to drain more money out of customers at difficult times. Wont be returning.

Fantastic experience: I've sadly had to say goodbye to both my greyhounds this year, one in March and one yesterday. The care, compassion and kindness shown by every member of staff on both occasions has been exemplary and brought me such comfort. When investigating my boys' illnesses the vets (Sergio, Alex, Arran and yesterday Rob) were thorough, and gave clear explanations and expectations, and ultimately were so reassuring when I had to make the difficult decisions. Thank you all so much.

Fantastic experience: A kind and supportive reception team and excellent and attentive vets who listen and genuinely seem to care. I was given regular updates about my cat's condition and asked to collect him earlier than planned due to the fact they felt he was becoming anxious and agitated in an unfamiliar environment. There was a slight smell of perfume on him when he came home, indicating he had been cuddled and comforted by staff during his stay. The nursing staff provided detailed feedback about their observations, making me feel that he was closely monitored at all times while he was under their care.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant! I am a nervous owner and was unsure how my dog would react but all the staff made the visit stress free. My dog needed to have a swelling in her ear drained and she was fine. I would highly recommend this veterinary practice.

Fantastic experience: Truely a Vets FOR Pets ! My Lhasa Apso was in pain with a tail issue, which is currently being treated by our own Vet at home. Being on holiday in Belton I contacted all vets in the Great Yarmouth area but as soon as I said we were on holiday and not registered with them, they couldn't offer any appointment - not even with a Nurse, even though I had explained my dog was in a lot of pain. Although 20+ miles away I contacted Vets 4 Pets on the Sprowston Retail Park in Norwich. They could not have been more helpful. I took my boy to them where we were seen by a Vet who spent time with my dog both in examining and listening to my concerns. I cannot praise and recommend this practice highly enough. Thank you so very much to the Reception Team and the Vet - you really are exceptional ❤️.

Positive experience: Excellent service including weekend and out of hours, I can usually get my cats a same day appointment if I ring early enough. Staff are very professional and kind. The one fault is the cost of everything, but I would say its more the industry than this practice as I think they are one of the cheapest. Cost aside, which may be unfair on them, this is an excellent vet service

Negative experience: I believe this vets failed our little dog and us by failing to diagnose her problem resulting in her passing away!Now our grieving has eased into bitterness and anger towards the so called experts who after a series of tests and examination were puzzled by her symptoms!i feel let down and personally would not recommend!

Fantastic experience: Reception staff are helpful and friendly. Sadly let down by waiting times, the last 2 times I’ve been I’ve had to wait 25-40mins with my cat. Only to be rushed in and out of the appointment. *2023 edit - Unfortunately recently my cat had to be put to sleep. The staff were very very kind and supportive during the whole process and I can't thank them enough for this.

Fantastic experience: So our dog Bella became ill suddenly and turned out to be life threating. The operation she needed was 2 thousand pounds. We didn't have the money straight away. We set up a go fund me account and where lucky enough to raise the money Bella was rushed in this morning even though our gofundme hadn't cleared but if we didn't get her the op today we would have most likely lost her. Vets for pets where fantastic maya the vet was amazeing supportive and held us up all the way through. We couldn't be more thankfully and gratefull for all your all of your staff but espically maya thank you will be forever thankful ❤️

Fantastic experience: Very friendly and understanding staff, taking the time to get to know me and my pets as a new customer understanding my old girl who was abused...and has some issues around men and hates the vets but i felt very calm relaxed and never felt judged due to mitzies demanding but "Royal" yet totally beautifully funny behaviour..."mya" I think he name was actually got a stroke and got mitzie through the appointment no hassle and please believe that is not an easy task even at 14.....she must of felt safe in her presence and as a dog owner I listen to my dogs opinion.....and that spoke a million words.

We usually take out chihuahua to the longwater branch but unfortunately due to sickness they could fit her in and I was quite worried about her being in discomfort so they suggested I call their sprowston branch. The receptionist was fabulous very understanding and managed to fit us in. We didn’t have to wait long to be seen and the vet gave her a very thorough check over and was lovely with her, she is quite a nervous dog but she seemed to like the vet. She is much better now and we thought the service and efficiency of the practice was brilliant thank you xx

Fantastic experience: Rob & Rhiaan, vets, are totally amazing. They go over and above board to ensure myself and my pets are given the utmost care and attention. They show empathy to both customer and pet. They are a credit to the team. They explain the problem, options available and treatment plan going forward. They give 200% to all they do.

Fantastic experience: Cooper was in for his booster vaccinations, the vet was happy to check his skin tag during the appointment and also checked his microchip to ensure that it was still registering. The vet and reception team were all friendly, happy to help and clearly love animals.

Fantastic experience: This is the first time I've had to visit a vet with Gideon, who I adopted a couple of years ago from Venture Cat Farm. He means an awful lot to me, and I was very grateful for the swift and expert attention he received for a problem that could have killed him. I'm keeping my fingers crossed it won't recur, and am following James the vets advice.

Fantastic experience: The hardest day as a pet owner is the day you reach that awful decision to finally say goodbye. I didn't get any sleep the night before contacting vets4pets and was very anxious about what might happen. The person I spoke to on the phone was so kind, she made me an appointment straight away and said that they would be ready for me. I didn't have to wait at all to be called through where my cat and I were treated with the utmost respect throughout by both the vet and nurse. We haven't lived here very long but have had very good treatment with each of our pets here and this experience was no different. Goodbye dear Rosie

Fantastic experience: We were really impressed with the service we received. Everyone involved with our dog’s spaying procedure were absolutely brilliant and very professional. Whilst our dog was at the vets, we were kept updated on a regular basis. They were very thorough explaining the aftercare and have answered our questions about our dogs aftercare very efficiently and effectively. Rob the vet who performed the spay did a great job and we are very appreciative. Overall, we are very satisfied with the care our dog Honey received.

Fantastic experience: Excellent veterinary paractice. Have used them for years since day one of opening in Sprowston! Rob and Riaan have looked after my animals for 20+ years. I'm now on my 3rd generation of dogs with them. Would never go anywhere else. I trust these guys with my dogs 100% and know that my dogs welfare is always at the forefront of any decisions made. I love the fact that 99% of the time I get to see Rob or Riaan and this continuity in care means that they know my dogs better than anyone. I've always found the receptionists and nurses extremely helpful, kind and friendly too, not forgetting Dawn down in accounts. 10/10 for everyone involved!

Fantastic experience: Alex ( the eye specialist vet ) was very helpful and interest in everything I had to say and came up with quick solutions she also took great care of my dog who only has one eye and very nervous

Fantastic experience: I phoned early on the Thursday morning and unsurprisingly had to wait some time for the call to go through – the service is in high demand, so I expected that. The lady that answered the phone was extremely polite and helpful and remembered my dog. I was given an appointment the same day which was a pleasant surprise. When I visited, again, the ladies on reception were extremely kind and helpful and the vet was efficient and also very very pleasant to deal with. They explain the possible outcomes from my visit, the different possible ways forward and the costs associated with those. I left feeling very well cared for and looked after and fully aware of all possible future scenarios and costs. An exemplary visit

Fantastic experience: We had to have our beloved dog put to sleep last week, (17 years old) The staff at Vets4Pets were amazing, let us spend long as we wanted with Benny before he was put to rest. Rob was truly amazing and compassionate. Would highly recommend.

Negative experience: It's a joke... been booked to drop cats off at 8 to be spade. The place don't open till 9... so now got to sit outside in the car with 2 cats stressing out as they don't like the carrier or cars... Very unhappy at the staffs organisation.. why book appointments for times your not open.. ridiculous

Fantastic experience: The nurse who looked at our puppy, was very friendly and gave us God advice about ongoing care. Sorry forgot to take her name but she was really good.

Negative experience: Very rude receptionist Sunday 13/11, we found a poorly kitten and got an RSPCA log number to get him looked at but she said because I wasn't a client I would have to pay £170!! For an ill stray kitten!! Awful rude receptionist.. another lovely vets treated him with medication, flea and warm treatment at no cost at all. Would never use vets4pets !!

Negative experience: If it was possible to give a minus score I would give it minus infinity. It is a money making place that does not care about your fur babies, just how much money they can make off of you. Worse place I have ever had to have dealings with and would recommend you only take your loved animal there if all the other places in the entire world shut down. Terrible, horrible service.

Fantastic experience: Was given a same day appt. My pooch enjoyed the treats from the lovely receptionists and the vet was amazing.

Fantastic experience: Very good staff. Nice clean environment. Plenty of seating. The surgery is located upstairs in Pets at home but there is a lift so disabled access is not a problem. The downside is that it's extremely expensive. We took our cat there with an eye problem. For the vet to have a 5 minute look and do a blood test it was £183.00. I'm dreading the thought that our cat might need an operation.

Fantastic experience: Aaron is by far the most trustworthy vet I have met in the practice, he clearly explained everything and, unlike other experiences, it didn't feel as though he was stabbing at options, but was methodically diagnosing the problems after my cat was attacked by my two neighbour's dogs, finding out the best course of treatment, without causing unnecessary stress and suffering.

Fantastic experience: Diana was really friendly and made me feel at ease and reassured that Lucas was in good hands. She is a credit to your team.

Negative experience: The vet that assisted me in the most unfortunate situation, done everything to manipulate me to agree to useless, unneeded operation and excessive debt (£2000). My lovely Gina (now I realize) was too ill to even survive the operation. I did suggest euthanasia, as I more than anything did not want my girl to suffer, however the vet did not even consider ending her suffering, he persisted in doing the operation after which she's shortly been sent home. I've spent all night with her, trying to do everything I could and couldn't relive her suffering at all. Not only that, but I've listened to her continuous whimpering and occasional howls of pain. Over 11 hours I've been witnessing her struggles, pain and cries! What kind of person would subject another human being to see their loved one die in their arms for over 11 hours! Gina passed away at 5:25am, and I'm still traumatized by this whole ordeal. Lesson lerned-avoid vets at vets4pets.

Fantastic experience: I have been using Vets4Pets for over ten years now and cannot fault them. The team here always do their best to help the pets.

Fantastic experience: Really lovely practice. It feels like they really care about your pet and are very compassionate when speaking to you about your pets health and difficult decisions. I have had 3 appointments with the practice and each have either occured on time or early. Reception staff are helpful and efficient. Vet staff are knowledgable and kind. My kitten went in for a spay yesterday, I spoke to a lovely staff member when dropping her off in the morning, she very empathetic to my nervousness and frank in advise regarding costs and prices. When picking her up in the afternoon the staff member we spoke to was very compassionate and informative about everything we needed to do and how we could get in touch in case of worries. The vet also called me last night to go over something they had noticed during the surgery. I was very happily suprised this morning to recieve a call from the practice following up to check on my kitten's condition and make sure she was settling back into home okay. Overall lovely people who really care about your pet and support you throughout their care.

Fantastic experience: All staff were friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. My cat had wet herself in her carrier and reception staff immediately found a nurse who offered to clean the carrier up, which they did. We came for a sit and wait appointment as the issue was an unforeseen emergency. We only had to wait an hour, despite it being extended busy. I have since telephoned as I was worried about how the cat’s abcess was looking. I asked if I could email photos as I didn’t want to put the cat through another vet trip if it wasn’t needed. I was emailed a response quickly, with plentiful advice from the vet who had seen the cat, which saved me time and money. Vets4Pets is giving me great service for my three dogs and many cats. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a vet. I only wish we had transferred our animals to them sooner, rather than waiting for several major concerns to arise with our previous vet. I cannot praise the vets, nurses and reception staff enough.

Fantastic experience: Everything from booking, pre op information, care and attention when we arrived for Dobby to be admitted, following op update information, care and consideration at discharge and after care was all second to none. Staff at Sprowston are all so friendly and put us completely at ease in the knowledge that Dobby would be loved by them while he was there.

Positive experience: Normally excellent. Despite being busy always able to help. Lately it has been absolutely impossible to get ab appointment, receptionists have been very short on rhe phone. Unwilling to listen to reason for appointment and maybe offer advice as they used to.

Fantastic experience: Friendly helpful reception staff. Also knowledgeable. Really nice friendly vet who knew his stuff. Helpful and polite. Also as far as Vet fees go now fairly reasonable. Appointment system is a pain having to phone at 8 am to see if you can be seen.
