Negative experience: Store is supposed to be open at 8.30am. I made a specific visit, and waited outside at 8.30 on a Friday for 15 minutes and nobody opened up. I

Fantastic experience: We’ve had a few appointments at vets for pets Abbeywood and the staff have always been so helpful and kind. Reception are very friendly on arrival and welcome you with a smile. I would like to give a mention to Linus, one of the vets, for his kind and calm manner. My mums cat is currently being treated by him and he went through all options in such detail whilst taking into account my parents situation and finances. There was no judgement just full support and understanding and came up with an affordable plan of action which we’re doing in stages to ensure Lily gets the help she needs within our limits. Thank you vets for pets!

Fantastic experience: We have always found the staff here very friendly, efficient and caring with our pets and us! We’ve also had the same vets since we’ve been taking our pets there for about 8 years. We were very touched when we received a sympathy card when our hamster passed. Excellent care from everyone!

Fantastic experience: This place is brilliant. Clean, efficient and the staff are first class, especially the girls in reception Maia loves her visits as much as she can considering she’s the main patient

Fantastic experience: My gerbil Timon had a big lump on his belly and I contacted Companion Care, luckily they have services for exotic pets. I really wanna thank the team and the vet Augustin for the excellent services they provided. They were honest about all the risks the surgery would take and supported me during all steps of the process. A thank you is not enough for all the care they put into this. I would definitely recommend.

Negative experience: Receptions staff are lovely and very helpful! I have a fearful staff who i muzzle for there safety, recently i’ve been getting this man who doesn’t do anything to help apart from stand in the opposite side of the consult room and stare at him(eye contact makes it worse which i’ve said to him). That is what i pay to be consulted it’s ridiculous! Had to pay just to be told he needs eye drop, what type of consult is that. How can you have a vet that is scared of a dog with a muzzle on? Bear in mind he's been to out of hour vets and he lets them touch him all over (with muzzle). Because they have a scared veteran they wanted to sedate him to check him which would cost me more money, i’ve now requested for a note on my records to never be put with that man again!!

Negative experience: I took my dog in on Sunday was told it was uti they checked his prostate said it was normal 48hrs later he had to be put down due to a massive tumour in his prostate that was pick up straight away by pdsa how can a vet let a dog suffering knowing he was in pain

Positive experience: Lovely experience for my cat, she only had microchip but no issues

Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff good pet services

Negative experience: Absolute rip off. My dog had a small scrape on their paw decided to get it checked. They gave my dog which they said was fine a shot and 2 types of meds and then charged me 160 for the pleasure. If they are 'fine' why then proceed to issue me several forms of meds that are completely superfluous and charge me exorbitantly for them? I think its time to find a new vets. Used to be good and never overcharge or issue uselss additional treatments but those times seem to be in the past.

Negative experience: From some veterinarians, to receptionists and managers, this place is the worst I've seen to date... it's shocking, horrible... I feel sorry for people who trust their animals in the hands of such incompetent people!!!!

Negative experience: Just returned from a visit to these, first off was happy that they could fit me in at short notice. My 8 moth old cockapoo puppy picked up a tick on his eyelid, due to the location we thought it best if a professional removed it we contacted the vets and asked for a price the lady on reception said it was included in our care package we have for him this sounded great, We took him there and the deed was done and we were happy we were then told it was a £25 charge for the privalage of three minutes work, to be fair this came at a bit of a shock as we were originally told this was included, I don't mind paying for services but that is extortionate it takes me two hours of constant work to earn that not 3 minutes I think a £5 charge would have been acceptable but £25 is wrong. we will be looking elsewhere in future

Fantastic experience: I moved my cat from Zetland to companion care after a bad experience at the former and they've been so caring with her. Prices are fair and they give you options. Jared is absolutely lovely and the main surgeon is wonderful too. Opening times really convenient too. I'd recommend

Fantastic experience: We took our 14 year old cat in as she was unwell. Unfortunately, she had to be put to sleep due to a large tumour in her abdomen. The vet and nurse were amazing, giving us time to say goodbye and treated her and us with dignity sympathy and respect. Thank you to everyone at Companion Cate, Filton. We miss her terribly but know you helped end her suffering

Negative experience: Super helpful head nurse, went above and beyond in talking through my options for my puppy's lump removal. EDIT 2023: Lump removal quote was almost £1000, the 'lump' vanished 2 days before the lump removal appt and never returned. Puppy is now 2 years old and hasn't had any issues at all. However, took her to be spayed there and now she is phobic of the vets and has to be sedated before an appt as she turns into a possessed honey badger from hell as soon as she steps in any vet now.

Fantastic experience: Cant recommend these vets enough so so helpful and explain your animals illness so well also they don't push you out the door after 10 minutes .

I ended up being 5 mins late but they still managed to squeeze us in. They really went above and beyond and we’ve always had really friendly staff and great service

Fantastic experience: We booked a last minute appointment as we were concerned for our cat. Reception couldn’t have been more helpful and receptive to our concerns. Vet was very thorough, explained everything and also what we need to do next. Came away feeling reassured and understanding what to do if our cats health/needs changed/worsen

Negative experience: We have used this practice for many years and it has always been good until recently. We had a bad experience recently with Priya, she lied to us repeatedly about a procedure she was offering for our gerbil. She said one thing to us and then wrote the opposite in the notes. Other staff witnessed this but they all closed ranks so no refund offered and she is able to continue her unprofessional service. Therefore I won’t be using them anymore and do not recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Whilst I was picking up my cats flea treatment, an incredibly rude lady pushed in front of me whilst I was already being served and demanded service. The professionalism shown by the reception chap (with green wool hat) was exceptional. The lady persisted to be rude and made me.feel really uncomfortable but he kept his cool. If it were me I would have ended up in trouble as I couldn't have handled it as well as he did! Well done to him!!

Fantastic experience: The vet was very reassuring and took time to explain to me how to administer the medication prescribed and made it very clear that I could come back or phone if I needed any help.

Fantastic experience: Josie was very poorly. We had to make the dreadful decision to have her put down. The way Paul our vet helped us through that process, making options very clear was excellent, allowing us time and space to make the decision, being informative, factual but clearly, genuinely understanding what both pet and owner are going through. Our vet and all the staff were truly exceptional in how they handled a very difficult and upsetting situation. Utterly professional, but above all truly understanding and compassionate. We were given space and time, we were allowed to bring family in to say goodbye in a way which helped all of us deal with a hard situation and we felt was the most supportive for our dog. She passed with her loving family around around her. The entire process, from difficult decision to the final moments, was carried out with care. Your team truly put the ‘care’ into Companion Care. Just outstanding. Thank you so much to Paul and everyone at Filton Companion Care, Josie and the Higginson family could not have been in better hands - throughout her life, and at the very end.

Excellent extra caring... looked for fleas. Explained well and we agreed on treatments. She knew what was covered by the treatment plan.

Fantastic experience: Nothing to complain about the staff are always falling over themselves to help and get to know owner and dog alike. Such a welcoming and lovely place. Vet Paul immediately identified my pup is a rescue and was scared and sat down with her on the floor and reassured us all was well. Nurse Becky also gave us some helpful tips to help her relax and was so friendly and reassuring. They adore all animals and its a really personal service. I wouldnt go any where else now. They all put my mind at ease. I knew Gizmo was in very good hands. I have never visited such a friendly vet before. I have 3 other dogs and several small animals that I will be bringing to this vet in the future when needed. Yes I am highly satisfied!!!

Positive experience: Fantastic customer service from Joel on the front desk - from the original phone call with him in order to switch my cat from the Brentford CC to this Filton CC: he was helpful, personable, thorough, informative, and generally a really nice guy - including in person at our first health check visit on the weekend just gone. Full praise for Joel, and looking forward to getting to know the Veterinary team once the Pandemic allows us back into the treatment rooms.

Fantastic experience: The team at Filton are fantastic and always manage to fit us in. The vet nurses are really wonderful, especially Jess (a ray of sunshine and so caring) This was a really difficult visit for us as Fudge is needing to be put to sleep. I wish there had been somewhere more private as I was visibly upset and it’s not easy to speak in front of other pet owners. I know Covid means this is really difficult, but perhaps it’s something that could be considered. Well done to the team though.

They were great with our cat and spent a lot of time making sure he was comfortable as he is an anxious cat. They were great at explaining everything and communicating with us. Negative experience: Have been going here for years, we had our cat and dog both registered at this vet but because of bad service regarding an amputation of our dogs front paw we moved the dog somewhere else and all is well. Our cat is still registered here and we took him in for his yearly vacination and can't believe how expensive this was compared to last year. The price has gone up over £10 even with an NHS discount. We will be looking to change and move our to where our dog is now.

Fantastic experience: After being recommended by a friend, I chose to get my female rabbit spayed with companion care vets. Reception were helpful. I have bad anxiety and the vet nurse who I spoke to was wonderful with reassuring me that all would be OK. I handed over my bunnie and picked her up in the afternoon. I am very pleased with how she was cared for and all the aftercare was explained perfectly. My bunnie is home now and doing well.

She performed surgery on our dog and although it was unsuccessful she fully explained the next routes and explained the options for us. You were also able to claim directly from our insurance which meant we just paid our excess
