Negative experience: Appalling experience. A complete lack of urgency that may potentially have cost our beloved cat his life. The worst experiences were: our cat was there for a day and they hadn't bothered to clean him up and tbe vet claimed he was walking fine and responding- that was absolutely not true. The practice was incapable of following a basic request to call the right person. The only concern they appeared to have was about maximising profit. I was also appalled that a dog had urinated by the reception area and it was just left.

We've been visiting this vets for Michael's specialist advice and expert service with all our various rodents for some years now and have always been 100% happy with his customer service . We now have Otto the sausage dog and Christine has always given us Excellent customer service . Recently he was bitten sadly by a dog in our local park and her surgery stitching his ear tear was incredible , 100 % thrilled with the results . Also , The receptionists and nurses there that I've met are Very helpful and friendly !

Fantastic experience: The best vet I've ever met. Both my dogs love their visits there. The receptionists are always smiling and Dr. Michael is very professional. He explains everything in great detail and is always patient, and my dogs love him. They always get appointments quickly, which is a huge plus since our older dog is 15 years old. I fully recommend Vets for Pets in Filton and I trust them with my dogs without hesitation. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Positive experience: Vets for Pets in Filton is a professional practice and I have been very pleased with the care my cat has received so far. I just wanted to make everyone aware that if your pet has surgery, a follow up appointment is included in the price. However if your pet has an unconnected course of antibiotics for an infection and you are invited back for a follow up appointment when the course finishes, you will be charged £47.00. This is what happened to me today, I was expecting the follow up to be part of the consultation I had last week, and it was an unwelcome surprise to find I was to be charged this fee for the vet to confirm what I already thought, that the antibiotics had worked.

Fantastic experience: This is the best vets in Bristol hands down. We have a very anxious chihuahua who won’t let us cut his nails but Michael the head vet was unbelievable. He’s so calm and patient with him and after 10mins all his nails were clipped. All the staff are so lovely and I highly recommend anyone to come here. Thanks again Michael

Positive experience: The vets see me at short notice and are always friendly and polite, however I don't always get a diagnosis but get told tests need to be done. Years ago when I took an animal to a vet I never incurred such ridiculous costs.

Fantastic experience: Have pet rats which some vets struggle with. Have always been very knowledgeable and concsiencious. Our rat had surgery with them today, very proffesional, wound is clean and tidy. service has been all-round great for what is considered an exotic pet.

Fantastic experience: Our cat was in a scrap and progressively became worse over the last 24 hours. The team at Filton Vets for Pets were able to see us quickly. The team really looked after him, provided me with reassurance and gave him the necessary treatment. After being home for a bit, he’s started to eat again and being much more like himself. I wanted to say a huge thank you to the entire team at Filton for all their support and for taking care of my baby boy! Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Seen Jamie today to give my dog who is reactive a milk check. It wasn’t the outcome I wanted but wow what an amazing vet ! She sat down and let my dog approach her making me and my dog feel at ease . She took her time and didn’t show any signs of fear and followed my dog’s lead. She gave me all the relevant information for the future and was generally a lovely person. Thank you Jamie :)

Fantastic experience: Couldn’t recommend them enough, they’re brilliant with my lurcher and pocket bully. My pocket bully gets so nervous but they make her so comfortable and we had an emergency yesterday where she almost stopped breathing, her tongue was blue and they saved her life!! scariest day me and my partner could experience, they were so considerate and amazing at updating us and comforting us. Honestly thank you so much, you guys saved our Tino’s life we cant even thank you enough. You guys are amazing❤️!

Fantastic experience: It's the best vet ever ! Dr. Michael, it's fully focused on animals ! Help my family when my dog was a faulty diagnostic with cancer, and we have been sent for special care hospital. We take a second opinion, and in less than 5 minutes, we have been telling its wrong diagnostic, and my dog has only stones in her bladder. In the next 3 days, we have a spot for operation. Dr. takes care of our dog as best as he and his practice can ! My family always recommended this vet for our friends!

Fantastic experience: We took our puppy to Vets4Pets - Filton for a check-up and vaccine. was very impressed with the service we used around 4 years. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of our questions. The vet was also very gentle and caring with my puppy. Personally, I prefer to use local vets, but this chain vet meets all our needs for my small puppy and I would highly recommend this vet clinic to anyone with a pet.

Negative experience: The worst experience. We brought in a sick elderly but well loved guinea pig who couldn't eat and they said that shaving his teeth would solve it. We had looked online and saw that you needed to do this every 6 weeks under anaesthetic, we asked them if this was the case and they said very unlikely. They did the procedure and then told us would have to be every 6 weeks. We said we thought it was cruel to do that to an elderly guinea pig (he was very stressed by the whole experience) and they even suggested that we should get the guinea rehomed, which was very upsetting. The operation didn't work and the guinea pig couldn't eat still, lost more weight and died a week later. *Response* This definitely was your practice, we brought him in in the summer.

Negative experience: I have brought my pets to this veterinary practice for for quite some years but recently have noticed a drop in standards of veterinary service. I wanted to get to the bottom of my dogs issues but couldn't get a straight answer as to what is wrong with her. When they checked some lumps out last time we were told it probably wasn't cancer. This time we were told it probably was. Then we were told we would have a biopsy and the costing for that and a costing for the removal. Bloods would be done a week before. Surely it should be bloods first to see if a 16 year old dog is fit enough for surgery, then costing for the biopsy and surgery. He didn't explain what was wrong with the dogs issue just gave me injection options or tablets but we had injections and tablets before and it didn't stop the itching. No explanation as to what it could be and a plan of action. I felt there was a language barrier in explaining things for the vet himself, which didn't instill confidence in him. I will go elsewhere for a second opinion as I felt very disappointed in the level of care.

The staff is very friendly and compastionate, their approach is professional and we always got highly detailed description of the current situation and advice on possible treatment. Negative experience: I do not recommend this place whatsoever. Firstly so much rudeness attitude from staff. So unfriendly specially towards my dog she did not greet my dog have a bond or anything. The pet-plan is a concern as we were told one thing now are paying another! The place is filthy rooms or the outside probably gets cleaned weekly. Reception never answer the phone. Overall they want to charge you for a 5* service and give you barely 2*. Clearly management needs to be trained promptly to then train all other staff members which they are severely lacking off. My dog was frightened and now scared for life of vets, he will have anxiety every time, which will lead to diarrhoea. Really disappointed.

Negative experience: My husband and I have just walked out of this place speechless from the completely careless and rude attitude received from Elena towards ourselves and our dog. First of all Elena didn’t even so much as greet or acknowledge our dog. I explained the problem to her and warned her that he doesn’t like to be Inspected and is very nervous so would recommend using a muzzle which we used. Elena looked like she was going to pass out from fear as our dog (whilst muzzled) merely edged towards her whilst she tried to take a look at his paw. She spoke so condescendingly to us the whole time as if we were a pair of idiots and was just generally hostile whilst speaking. She then admitted to being bitten by the same breed as our dog and raised her voice saying “I was hospitalised!” As I said I suggested a muzzle from the get go and had expected a “veterinarian” to have experience with nervous and reactive dogs. It all made sense then her lack of care and hostility towards us and our dog from breed judgement and soon as entered the room. We walked out without any resolution and had the pleasure of paying £75 for it. You’re in the wrong Job Elena.

Fantastic experience: I have been with Filton Vets4Pets for 7 years and I cannot recommend them highly enough. The care, compassion and knowledge that they have shown during my time with them has been second to none, right from the moment you are greeted on reception to the moment you leave. I chose to register with Filton Vets4Pets because I had heard that they were great with more ‘complex’ animals (i.e. not just cat/dog) and I had pet rats. I understand that pet rats aren’t for everyone, but Michael and his team have been excellent at treating my pets with the upmost respect and kindness and have performed some complex operations. Unlike some other vet practices, I can confidently say that Filton Vets4Pets are genuinely operating in the best interest of your animals and not to try and make the most profit. Each time one of my pets has needed treatment the vet will always discuss every treatment option. I feel comfortable to share my own thoughts about my pets health and I have always been listened to, which has been priceless. I simply cannot thank Filton Vets4Pets enough for their continued support over the years.

Positive experience: Always welcoming staff. The vets take good care of my two cats, although sometimes staff are not transparent with fees.

Negative experience: If I am totally honest, I do not recommend Vets4Pets at Filton 0as I believe this branch is a money making pit. If an operation gets infected or a recommend by the causes more issues I feel the vet should be responsible for the cost. . This is not happening here .

Fantastic experience: Took our dog Stella in for a c-section, from the very beginning to the end of the process of us being welcomed by our puppies, this practice is honestly so welcoming and professional, they are well mannered and every staff member definitely has a heart! Would highly recommend this vets to anybody who is looking for that piece of mind with their fur baby or pet! Fantastic experience: All vets are not the same. I feel our two dogs are in very capable hands. When we took our dog to our old vets, they could not diagnose the cause of his problems. We went to Filton for a second opinion, and they not only found the problem, they showed us where to prod to highlight the issue, and our appointment was cheaper. I feel Filton Vets4Pets charge a fair price (as vets go) for excellent service. Despite the distance we now have to travel, it's worth it for the very able staff.

Fantastic experience: Because I've only had milo a couple of months and I knew nothing about him. Since I saw the really nice vet he was able to tell me he is microchipped, he's about 8 years old he isn't under weight like I thought he was and he also told me he has a heart murmur. Very impressed.

Fantastic experience: from the first phone call to book my dogs annual check through to the visit everyone was outstanding. The receptionist i spoke to when i booked in took detailed notes of my dogs needs - he can be reactive and very unhappy in small rooms. Notes were made to enable the appointment that was made to run smoothly. I called on the day to make sure everything was in placed and was again given assurance. On arrival we were able to come in from the back and the nurse we saw was fab, she was calm with my dog and he was the best we could of expected - infact better so i was very happy

Negative experience: I brought a shi Tzu puppy last week Sunday and he was fine check up on the Wednesday to be told he needed worming! So I wormed him the Thursday my 9week old puppy became so ill he didn’t eat so I took him for emergency the vets didn’t do no test on him to see if something was wrong they just assumed it was the wormer, only check that was received were temperature and weight! They then said if he continues to be sick or have loose poo go straight back up for IV treatment but Teddy (puppy) was fine as in no poos or sickness was still off his food abit bu Sunday’s 11th Teddy was soo poorly couldn’t lift his head and sadly passed away this morning. I went straight to the vets to complain the veteran said it’s not thwre fault he passed didn’t say sorry for my loss, he was sarcastic and rude and patronising me by smirking and laughing while my 9week old puppy is dead in a box. He tried to charge me £85 to do an autopsy to see how he died but he would not of passed if the test were done after taking him twice when he was poorly! DONT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE! They are awful!! No help and I will be taking this case further!

Fantastic experience: I brought my 2 cats Dave&Daisy for their annual check. There was a trainee nurse with the vet. Both were thorough in their examination. Very friendly. I told both cats were over weight, one more than the other. The vet asked about their eating habits and then said what I could do to cut down. Also Dave has early signs of arthritis which the vet gave me some options to help him. Very professional and gave me cheaper options rather than try to sell me high end products.

Negative experience: Called as a Vets4Pets customer from Chester, had a small issue with our dog the receptionist was rude and unhelpful to the point we went to another branch.

Fantastic experience: Best vets. We’ve used lots of vets over the years but this particular branch is the only one where we always feel as if they care deeply about our dogs. The reception team are always so friendly and go the extra mile to help everytime we need them. Really cannot thank these guys enough. We moved across the bridge and still use this vet as much as we can. The parts of the team we’ve met are friendly , animal loving wonderful people who are patient and understanding. They’re really punctual and we’ve never been left waiting and the waiting room is nice and cool and clean.

Negative experience: Gave this vets 5 stars previously, however due to changes in staff in all areas vets, desk staff, and changes in how they handle insurance claims, I felt I had to update my rating. Every time I call for advice for my dogs ongoing meds, even if we just need a repeat prescription they always say they need to see him, and surprise surprise another charge. Previously this didn't happen as the vets knew our dogs history and ongoing meds required. I get times are tough and they are a business, however when we know what the issue is, and just need more tablets, why should we have to pay for another consultation. It feels like as they know we have insurance, we will just agree. Also very unhappy that we now have to pay for them to process insurance claims. The charges have been introduced so say, due to the fact that they have had to take on another member of staff to handle them. I won't be paying them to contribute, partially finance another employees wages, when other vets are more than happy to do it free of charge, or I can do it myself for free.

Fantastic experience: I have 2 dogs registered here and they both are happy to come here. Friendly patient staff which is good with my two. They also like the little treats given them. Can usually get an appointment without too long of a wait.

Fantastic experience: Our dog had been unwell for some time and the vet has been great at explaining our options and trying to help him to continue a happy existence. This time the vet had to explain to us why and how our dogs health had deteriorated and that it was fairer to euthanase. We felt the vet did this in a very considerate and helpful way, we were sad but appreciative of the honest factual assessment.

Fantastic experience: I have a special needs cat that needs to be seen regularly and cannot fault the service. I've been going there for years and moved. After 6 months I decided to do the drive every month or 2 and go back to these guys.

Fantastic experience: I was told by a previous vet that the best thing to do for my 8 month old puppy was to put him to sleep due to health issues. I got a 2nd opinion from Vets4Pets. He diagnosed the issue within 10 minutes which my previous vet failed to diagnose in 2 weeks. The treatment began to work within 24 hours and he is on his way to a full recovery. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Specifically Michael.
