Negative experience: Would not recommend this practice. I have been sent a request for payment of over £500 from over 2.5 years ago, no explanation of what services were provided and this was the first I had heard in 2.5 years that I owed them anything. This practice was good under previous ownership but wouldn’t recommend them now.

Fantastic experience: I have owned cats ( or rather they have owned me!) all my life, but this is the first time I have had a proper relationship with a vet. Lois rocks!

Fantastic experience: Solely for cats this place has been taken over by medivet but the wonderfully gentle Lois is still working there. Staff are all very nice and a relaxed waiting room with lots of cat magazines to flick through as you wait. We have been clients for well over a decade and our cats aren't stressed out here. No treatment is cheap at vets, is it, but we feel this is well worth paying for as this practice is all about cats, not other pets so it's quiet, sedate and always clean and welcoming

Fantastic experience: Honestly couldn't ask for a lovelier vets, they do everything they can to make it comfortable for your cats and are patient with new, nervous pet parents (like me!). My kittens had never been to a vet before and the vet made them so comfortable, and distracted them with cat yoghurt so they barely noticed the worming treatment or vaccinations!

Positive experience: Not convinced with the Cat Clinic that they are the best. The vets appearance can be improved her scrubs are torn around the hem and her shoe laces are always undone when ive been. Lost faith in their ability to resolve my cats over grooming issue so made the choice to move her to my main vets where my other pets are looked after and they solved the issue in two visits .

Fantastic experience: Visit from Doncaster because our local vets cant cope with some of the problems our cats dish out. Feel very confident that things get sorted when we visit here due to the knowledge & expertise of the people we entrust our cats care to. Its worth the miles. Today/yesterday we travelled with Phoenix to re check his bloods etc after being diagnosed as a ckd kitty by our own vet. The staff at Cardiff cat clinic have looked after him & we will return in 3months with confidence that he is getting the best treatment.

Fantastic experience: Cardiff Cat Clinic is an incredible practice. Feel so lucky to have found this place. The care and attention to cats is evident as soon as you come in. Such a relaxing space from when you pull up to when you leave, where they have in depth knowledge and care centred towards cats and only cats. They even are happy to let our boy go in on his lead and harness and sniff around the reception and give him dreamies when he gets his jabs. We aren't too far but I would still travel the distance to stay here. Such care towards cats and it's such a warm and hospitable environment - they even use the feliway diffusers. We came from such a dog centred vet before this and the difference is like night and day. Can't thank the whole team for their care enough and a special thank you to Jessica who is so gentle and kind to Razzle, I think he might even enjoy himself coming here!

Fantastic experience: Having recently needed veterinary treatment for our cat we were absolutely delighted with the service provided by Medivet (the Cardiff Cat Clinic). The environment was peaceful. Lois who carried out the initial examination was so very quietly spoken and gentle with our girl and Alex who performed surgery kept us informed and, we felt, did an excellent job in what must have been a difficult situation. We would whole heartedly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I was able to get my cat an examination here, in a single afternoon, that I'd previously been told would take told an overnight stay and extended specialist transport at the previous vets. I would never consider taking my cat elsewhere.

Negative experience: We took our very poorly boy to The Cat Clinic last Thursday, prior to this he'd been seen at Vets4Pets in Caerphilly, concerned that he wasn't improving ,he'd lost 40% of his bodyweight and was very weak, we thought we'd go to the experts, we had our previous blood test and scan results sent from Caerphilly. We spoke with Lowri who said she'd like to do another set of tests. I questioned if this was necessary as it's not an easy process for our little man. She stated if she didn't believe there'd be a positive outcome she wouldn't recommend it. She was looking at albumin protein and a little swelling in his intestine. I took him in on Friday at 8.30, the receptionist turned up at 8.40. Our boy , Toby ,went through the rigour of another set of tests. On picking Toby up we had a lot of information, the prognosis wasn't great despite what we'd been told. We agreed to bring him back in two weeks. Toby passed away less than THREE DAYS later, unable to walk on his own ,we stayed up with him 24/7 this last weekend to make sure he could eat and use his litter. Either the vet is seriously incompetent or they maliciously requested further tests .....at £978....to feather the practices nest! We put our beloved boy through additional, unnecessary tests ,they had Caerphilly's test results from just two weeks prior,and I will never forget or forgive. So we went to mediation who frankly are biased towards the vet The fundamental question is that Lori told us that she wouldn't be doing further tests unless she was Confident! of a positive outcome. Yet....Toby died less than three days later ?? This wasn't addressed by Alison from mediation....... Why??? I'm reporting Lori to the RCVS , she is either incompetent or malicious in her practice. I have been contacted by others who have received poor service here ,please beware. Justice for Toby!!

Fantastic experience: My cat Andi had been struggling for a while and had been to 2 other vets with no conclusive prognosis and spiralling vet bills. On the first visit here Michael had reviewed all her notes and test results and was able to tell us straight away what the problem was. These guys are brilliant. Compassionate, Professional and most of all they know cats inside and out! I wouldn't go anywhere else. The care we received was invaluable, from both vets and their receptionist. Thank you all.

Fantastic experience: All the staff are very welcoming and friendly. The waiting room is quiet and calm, no dogs barking. We've had issues with other vet practices in the past which is why we chose to travel about 40 minutes to get here. Would highly recommend to all cat parents

Fantastic experience: We can't recommend Llanishen Cat Clinic enough. The staff are very friendly and the vets took very good care of our 3 maine coons. Wouldn't take them anywhere else even though we travel 45 minutes one way to het them there..

Fantastic experience: We registered our cat Pluto at Cardiff Cat Clinic after some disappointing experiences at another vet. It is great to have a 'cat only' environment especially for anxious cats. All the staff are very welcoming and accomodating and we have always been happy that Pluto has been receiving excellent care. Special thanks to Lois (who was brilliant at helping us manage multiple co-existent health issues in his older age) and Suzanne and Anne for all your care. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this clinic to other cat owners in Cardiff.

Fantastic experience: Can’t recommend The Cardiff Cat Clinic enough! They have been absolutely amazing at every appointment. From our very first appointment with Micheal to on going care from Lois. We have always been confident that cookie was getting the absolute best care available. Even through the process of cremation they have been nothing but kind, compassionate and professional. The reception team have also always been excellent and have provided so much help and assistance over the years. This is the only vet we will be using for cats going forward.

Fantastic experience: Marley visited Cardiff Cat Clinic for the very first time last week. He met Jessica who was very friendly and gentle with Marley. Jessica also took the time to answer all of my questions (there were many). We met other members of the team too who were equally friendly and kind. The atmosphere at the clinic is warm and incredibly peaceful. Sadly, I have had to change vets due to ongoing issues at their previous vets, I care deeply about my fur babies and cannot compromise their health. I decided to register both of my cats at Cardiff Cat Clinic following our visit, I cannot recommend it enough!!! It’s a big paws up from Marley

Have been a client for many years as we adopted our minxie from catwell sadly she is no longer with us but with Micheal and Anne's care she lived to the great age of 22. Lois is also a great vet who has taken over the care of Smokey who we inherited after my mum sadly passed away. I also have 2 more girls who are also looked after by the practice. Fantastic experience: Cardiff Cat Clinic is the UK's only practice specialising in only cats. This enables the staff to create a calm, peaceful environment which eases the anxiety of going to the vet. The staff are wonderful - wam, friendly, knowledgeable, and compassionate. I have full confidence in the vets' professional knowledge and in their decisions on treatment. I am lucky to have this practice on my doorstep.

Fantastic experience: Compassionate, and highly knowledgable they are the standards all vets should adhere to. I took both my cats here after having a terrible experience at other vets, one had high blood pressure, the other a very complex case of food intolerance and arthritis. Despite one now possibly needing palliative care they have done everything possible to give her the best quality of life.

Fantastic experience: Having transferred from a different vets, after a terrible experience, the staff at the cats clinic, were extremely helpful and knowledgeable and made it very easy for us to transfer out cats to them. Which made booking an appointment easy. This was also really good because there was lots of availability and flexibility- which is brilliant for someone who is working, who does not drive, to make arrangements for appointments For the actual drop off/collection this was also really good because there was a good enough time range to allow for us to get there and collect outside of working hours. And we weren’t waiting for long to be seen either side. We had a really bad experience with our last vets and my boy Yoda, which I feel their lack of care, knowledge and them prescribing him a drug he had a bad reaction to & then them not even knowing it was that drug giving him the reaction and them wanting to be so quick to PTS, contributed to us losing him sadly to FLUTD. The loss of Yoda had a huge impact on my mental health and bringing my two new kittens to a vets was something that was really difficult for me to do. But I have to say the clinic made it a lot easier for me to do and I could tell as soon as we came into the waiting room the difference between the two vets was leagues. I’m very grateful to the clinic for looking after my babies so well and I’m so happy that should we ever need it, we are registered with the best vets in Cardiff. Click to Copy

Fantastic experience: Cardiff cat clinic is excellent. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my pet’s care. I know they do their very best for my cat’s health and well-being. Kitty has passed away since I first wrote this review. She was poorly for a long time but still enjoying life. Lois and Anne were the most compassionate people I could have asked for to deal with the decision to end her suffering when it was the right time.

Fantastic experience: What a wonderful clinic. Everyone is just so lovely. We decided to try the cat clinic after we were told by another vets in Cardiff that our cat was "too complicated" (he has a few chronic conditions). The whole team were so welcoming, and I thought Lois was the best vet I have ever seen (and I've seen a lot!). My very anxious cat was the most relaxed I'd ever seen him at a vets, and Lois was so gentle, kind, and knowledgeable. I feel in a much better place to manage my cat's health, and feel that he is in such good hands now.

Fantastic experience: Took my childhood cat into the clinic today to be put down, she was in such terrible pain and really had a wonderful life. The clinic did the best job, of making sure she had the most peaceful end and let me stay with her till the end. I cannot recommend this clinic enough, both of my cats had excellent end of life care there.

Fantastic experience: A truly caring and compassionate environment. We have been going to the Cardiff Cat Clinic since it opened. It is a truly remarkable practice. Michael Edwards together with Ann have created a totally feline friendly environment. For the cat and it’s owner it is peaceful and stress free which is so important for both parties at a time of anxiety and fear. They really care for each cat as if it was one of their own! The level of professionalism and clinical knowledge shown by Michael and the staff is quite humbling and the genuine level of care and empathy shown by them is outstanding. We will never be able to thank everyone enough for what they did for our beloved Steve even up to his final moments with us. Those memories will bring us comfort in the knowledge that our little one received the best care anyone could ask for. Thank you

It is the most obliging, skilled and friendly veterinary practice I have ever encountered. This was really highlighted 2 years ago when I moved away from the area and had to visit another practice when one of my cats was ill. The fact that Cardiff Cat Clinic deals solely with cats means that it has developed skills far beyond an ordinary veterinary practice. I'm glad to say I am able to use this clinic again and it has been a huge relief to get my cats treated at Cardiff Cat Clinic again. I want to thank this Clinic with all my heart for not only the care they give to my two cats, but also for the care they have shown me. A truly remarkable place!
