Services
Earlswood Veterinary: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Staff are amazing. The place is clean and spacious. MRI machibe outside. Vet is knowledgeable and compassionate. 4 pets treated here over 20+ years. Thank you for your service
Fantastic experience: Receptionists are awesome and vets fantastic
Fantastic experience: Very good support from staff when I had to get my hamster out to sleep
Fantastic experience: I cannot thank the team at Earlswood enough for the incredible care they gave my 5-year-old Dachshund Bryan. He underwent an MRI and then IVDD surgery immediately. The level of expertise was evident from Colin and the team from the start, but what really stood out was the compassion. They provided regular updates via WhatsApp, which was a huge relief while he was away from home for 9 days. They also set us up with a comprehensive rehabilitation programme with Holistic Pet NI to ensure the best recovery. They also sent the insurance claim promptly and gave me peace of mind that their main priority is getting Bryan walking again. If you’re facing the stress of IVDD, I highly recommend this hospital—your pet is in the best hands
Fantastic experience: I will be forever grateful to the team at Earlswood Veterinary Hospital for the compassion, urgency, and dedication they showed my beloved Duke. I was without hope and they accepted my Baby Duke, I ran in carrying him in my arms, and he was taken immediately by Aisling without hesitation. From that moment on, Duke was treated with care, dignity, and genuine love. The team gave me hope and fought through me, for him with expertise and determination in ways I simply could not have done myself. I will never forget the centre manager personally driving to Dublin to collect medication so Duke could be given a fighting chance, because they genuinely believed he was worth saving. That level of commitment meant everything to me. Duke was never treated as just a patient he was treated as a valued life and whilst my whole world isn't here with me now. I know that everything was done to save my 4.5 year old son. Thank you for everything you did for my baby. Love, Carla.
Fantastic experience: Due to a medical emergency I had to contact the Emergency Vet Practice. The cat received 1st Class Attention From the Reception Staff to the Vet/ Nurse I was kept informed what was required and would recommend this practice to anyone. Many Thanks
Positive experience: So friendly, knowledgeable, respectful and professional. Glad I made the move to this veterinary practice. Excellent job guys! 15.12.25: Vets are nice and do their job. Up until recently, I would have give the place 5 stars but the attitude of the receptionist who spoke to me was disgusting. I advised that I had been back and forth seeing Mr. Millar with the 4 kitten's my cats had trying different treatments and I would like a new appt as the treatment given for the conjunctivitis wasn't working. She then proceeded to ask if the kittens were a mistake which I felt was inappropriate. I advised no they were not that they were planned and in future planned on selling them. She then made a snarky comment saying their eyes would need fixed first. I replied I know that's why I am phoning to get them healthy. Actually ridiculous to be judged for allowing my gorgeous pedigree oriental shorthairs to have one litter of kittens when I've never had no issues with payment after receiving treatment for my cats and their kittens. Empathy rather than judgement and interrogation wouldn't go a miss. Whether the kittens were planned or not, they need treatment and Diane frankly its none of your business.
Negative experience: I am writing this review with a very heavy heart after the loss of my dog, Darla. Two years ago, Darla underwent spinal surgery at Earlswood for IVDD, a procedure that cost around £6,000. While the staff were polite and professional at the time, the outcome and follow-up care left me deeply disappointed and heartbroken. During Darla’s post-surgery recovery, I witnessed her being walked and lifted by her tail only a few days after her spinal operation. This was extremely distressing to see, and I have since learned that this method of handling is considered unsafe for dogs recovering from spinal injuries. I raised concerns at the time but did not feel they were taken seriously. Despite the surgery, Darla’s mobility and spinal health declined again within two years. Throughout her follow-up visits, I repeatedly voiced my concerns about her spine, but I felt they were not fully acknowledged or addressed. I’m sharing my experience not out of anger, but in the hope that future pets and owners receive the highest possible care, transparency, and compassion when facing such difficult conditions. ** clinic replied saying it was standard practice to tail walk in 2023 but have since abandoned it.
Fantastic experience: I been with Earlwood for over 30 years. Amazing place. So professional, up to date equipment, caring towards clients, fantastic team work etc etc. Ollie just had tumour removed few months ago. I was absolutely helped by team regarding making decision. They were with me every step way. Very informative and totally focused on every procedure and surgery. Ollie just can't wait every month go Elsie and team for his complementary therapy. Reception staff best..they certainly know their clients and pets. Can't thank all staff enough.
Fantastic experience: We’ve taken our pets to Earlswood for over forty seven years … need I say anymore? Thank you
Fantastic experience: Our dog Smalls was referred to Earlswood for an ophthalmology appointment due to vision loss. Dr. Millar was so thorough in his exam. He took time to explain her condition to me and was so kind in his delivery. He was really sweet and patient with our dog. I am so thankful we were referred here and I would recommend Dr. Millar and Earlswood to everyone.
Fantastic experience: Excellent service and staff where friendly and very helpful
Fantastic experience: Lovely people and v professional
Fantastic experience: Very happy with the service provided by the veterinary practice. Excellent job as always by Ian and his team of staff
Fantastic experience: We are so grateful to Phil and the team at Earlswood for giving our dog Nala the best specialist care when she slipped a disc in the spine a few weeks ago. Phil showed great professionlism and care for our labrador and preformed life changing surgery to give her the chance to walk again. The team kept us very well informed throughout the time that she was in their care with daily updates, photos and the post op follow up has been excellent. Highly reccomended
Fantastic experience: The staff from earlswood couldn’t have been nicer, I was very stressed with what was wrong with my dog and the care and compassion that they gave us was outstanding. They put me at ease, would like to thank all the staff involved with little Blair’s care. Thanks so much.
Fantastic experience: Very nice place to take your animals they explain everything so you know exactly what's happening
Fantastic experience: Wonderful vet looking after everything from our little dwarf hamsters to our cat with sensitivity and care. Prices are on the higher side but dealt with by insurance. Vets now emergency out of hours service very expensive but separate from practice. Trusted family vet.
Fantastic experience: I can't recommend this place enough. My dog has been ill for almost 6 weeks, getting different meds, scans etc done with no luck. We changed vets twice, before we finally got reffered to Earlswoods. If not for them, my pup wouldn't be here today. Someone finally listened and heard what I was saying and didn't make me feel like I was overreacting, when my dog wasn't right. I honestly can't thank Aisling and the whole team enough. Prices are quite high, but honestly the approach and their knowledge is worth the money. They explain all procedures and plans clearly, if dog is staying over they inform you whats going on daily. Anything you want to know or ask about, they really do their best to try and help you out.
Fantastic experience: Great vets and staff very kind caring and compassionate. They really do care about you pets
Fantastic experience: Earlswood vets are brilliant exceptionally warm welcome clean as can be and very caring and thorough
Negative experience: Done nothing and the price is super high, and price gave me heart attack! we are very disappointed with this service never going back!
Negative experience: Mr Millar was quite aggressive with my cat whilst examining him, even chipping away at something on his tooth so hard my cat started to bleed - mind you we weren’t even there about his teeth, nor did he apologise or acknowledge what he had done after myself and my partner were clearly taken aback. Nor was any further info given on how to even improve his bad tooth, or what had caused it. Failed to correctly refer to my cat as a male, when corrected he ignored me. Also ignored me when informed that my cat preferred paste medicines than tablets. Overall lack of care and/or interest - reception staff are absolutely lovely, and the nurse who took my cats bloods was nice too; had it been Mr Millar taking the bloods I was ready to decline and take my cat elsewhere. Brought my cat here after a lovely experience dropping in a lost dog I had found last year, thinking it would be better than his usual vets - will not be back. Practice manager listened to my complaint and apologised. One of the most needlessly traumatic vet appointments I’ve ever had as a pet owner.
Fantastic experience: The acupuncture team are wonderful. Holisticpetni. (Elsa, Helen & Sarah) Gentle, caring and Luna actively likes to come for treatment.
Fantastic experience: Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Always made to feel very welcome.
Fantastic experience: I can't recommend Earlswood enough! Our dog Harvey had a bad accident around Christmas which eventually resulted in surgery. The team at Earlswood, and in particular vet Colin, took extremely good care of him. They kept us regularly updated, they were very quick to identify and address the issue despite a lack of facilities over the Christmas period and I felt like Harvey was in the best hands. I also felt like they genuinely cared about him and were invested in his recovery, which makes a big difference when you have to trust your pet to people and can't help at all. Their care is top notch and Harvey is steadily recovering because of it. If your pet has cause to come here, be assured they will be getting the best care possible. Thank you Colin and Earlswood!
Fantastic experience: I had to use Earlswood for my cat Bella when she became unwell, and my own vets were unsure what was going on. Unfortunately, her prognosis was poor, and she sadly didn't make it. All the staff from reception, vet nurses, and surgeons made my experience much less stressful. Even on her final day when i phoned to tell them my sad news they told me to focus on her rather than the money. They took time to know your pet, and even when I went in to settle the bill, they all still gave me condolences. Unfortunately, i had to use the out of hours vets who aren't aligned to Earlswood and I can say my experience with them was not positive or remotely caring and understanding (I will be providing feedback to that service separately). Earlswood is a private animal hospital, so yes, it is more expensive, but they know what they are doing. I wish the outcome could have been better for Bella, but the staff made that final few weeks less painful for her and that all that matters.
Fantastic experience: Can’t recommend Earlswood highly enough from the friendly staff in reception to the vets and nurses whose knowledge and care for pets is first class. Highly recommend the holistic team lead by the lovely Elsa and can’t thank Greg enough for the incredible job he done with Ralphie from the initial consultation through to the operation and after care. Care for my wee one Is my top priority and the team at Earlswood certainly put their care first also. Well deserved 5 star rating. ❤️
Negative experience: Shame on you brought a lost distressed dog over earlier after my wife rang a helpline, the dog had not been chipped not the dogs fault you offered absolutely no service id have paid any money for the dog to be cared for you basically sent the dog to the street thankfully we got the dog home. Disgraceful and I will available to talk further about this at anytime.
Fantastic experience: First class service from dog friendly staff. Vet also very helpful and sympathetic. Price, for the area very fair.
Negative experience: I have read a number of posts on this establishment about extortionist pricing. I have always wondered why a vet presents a shopping list of ridiculous overpriced services upfront. The first time this happened to me was when a specialist vet offered 3 options for an osteotomy procedure, when the dog had a throat abrasion. So, before considering the shopping list, first check out how much its director earns. This generally is my indicator as to whether the vet’s genuine priority is about the care of my pet or about the care of its director. The Director's remuneration = £2,500,000 in 2023 Group net profit - £22,400,000 in 2023 The images are extracts from the various 395 companies that I have researched. I guess this is an attempt to obscure and erect barriers to information. Profits "driven by organic growth" in annual statements for my interpretation of such a business term actually means "ripping the customer off" especially in a period where the cost of living crisis was at its peak. However, it is a little difficult to chose my vet when I am hamstrung by a corrupt system. After calling another emergency VET, I was told that because I am registered with my local Vet, I have no choice but to go to this establishment. No choice means a strategically intended controlled monopoly and what comes with a monopoly? Opportunity for extortion! When I see this extortion, all marketing platitudes such as Healthy Animal and Happy Owner and We Care, We Dare, We Share are trashy meaningless straplines. The world is wising up to capitalist extortion. #luigimangione
Fantastic experience: This is the Veterinary practice that other vets turn to when they are in trouble, it is in fact a fully qualified Pet Hospital, and Mr Thompson,(Now retired) and his protege Mr Ian Miller, with their colleagues would be the,Obe Wan Canobes" of Veterinary science in N Ireland from orthopaedic surgery to MRI Scanning this vets can do it, If they cant help your pet, nobody can,the staff from the nurses to the receptionists are really lovely too,I would"nt and could"nt take, our N Irish Champion Dog to any other practice folks, and every time we call we meet someone from Cork to Kerry, because their vet could"nt get to the root of the problem folks, This is the Northern Ireland,"Supervets"
Fantastic experience: After struggling to get our cat contained, and after ringing ahead to warn Earlswood that we would be late, we arrived almost twenty minutes after our appointment time with our cat wrapped up in a blanket! They were brilliant. We were immediately taken to the room and Mr Millar arrived shortly afterwards. He was quick and efficient and helped put our cat into her carrier for our journey home. They were the calm we needed after our prior thirty minute chase to capture our beloved pet! Thank you Earlswood for your professionalism and understanding.
Fantastic experience: Our 5 year old staffy ended up here 4 weeks ago as she couldn't stand or walk. Greg the vet was on hand to explain what was gping on, what he needed to do and the associated costs/options. He performed a quick CT scan and informed us she would require a spinal operation to remove a herniated disc. She spent a week in recovery and either Greg or one of the nurses rang me everyday with an update on her condition. The bill was expensive but she is one of the family and luckily the insurance paid some of it. We were back today for a check up with Greg and are back again in a month's time at no extra cost. I would recommend Earlswood for their excellent veterinary staff and care. Thank you.
Fantastic experience: Outstanding care from all the vets and team at earlswood. Our little dog was unwell and they did everything they could, but she passed away peacefully. Thank you so much. Sleep well Betsy, you will be missed so so much.
Fantastic experience: Anytime I have attended them, I have always been extremely impressed with their work. My animals are family and they do everything possible to help. They also remember your pet even after not seeing them for a while. They are extremely dedicated to their work. I bypass another veterinary clinic on my way to Earlswood and have previously tried another clinic but they can't compete with them.
Fantastic experience: We recently had to attend Earlswood/Vets Now with Oskar our cat unfortunately to have him put to sleep. Jane, our vet was exceptional, professional and went above and beyond with us as you can imagine it was a very tough time, we had had Oskar for over 19 years. She was so kind and nothing was too much bother, it made the whole process a little easier.
Negative experience: I found a dog running along a very busy road in Belfast. She was scared and could have posed a risk to herself and drivers, so I was able to catch her. No tag on her collar. She was very well behaved so I waited for long to see if someone would come looking for her. Nobody showed up and I decided to call warden but no answer; therefore I called this emergency clinic. The girl on the phone was very nice and she told me to bring the dog there and they would help me contacting the warden. So I drove all the way to the hospital to find a very incompetent person attending me. He was not able to find the microchip, then kept me there waiting for long without any help. He went then to talk to someone and came back saying they had no space to keep her. I suggested to try call the dog warden as they told they would do over the phone, but that same guy said no he couldn't call and that I had to take the dog with me. I explained I have already two dogs and one of them is not very friendly with other dogs. His answer was...to go and call the vet. The vet saw the dog and instead of offering a solution to help me just said the same thing: no space to keep this dog and no time to call the warden. I was desperate and almost begging for some help but nothing! If this dog was sick I bet they would have just asked for money and that's it! Finally I was finally able to get in touch with dog warden and when they came to my house to collect her (I waited in my car with her since I couldn't bring her in due to my other two dogs) the warden found in only two seconds that ironically she was microchipped! Very disgraceful behaviour and rude attitude they had in this hospital. It cannot be possible on a Saturday evening neglecting help to an innocent creature and to people who were only trying to help a dog to find her owner! Disappointed by this lack of empathy, kindness and real vocation for a job that should help animals and not being only a money making machine!
Negative experience: This vet is a joke of a place took my dog up out of hours £288 for consultation then another £100 for test that took no more than 10mins, something needs to be done about vets just ripping the arm out of people £388 all in for not more than half an hour,we all love our pets but these extortionates love us more The government needs to put a cap on what they can charge for out of hour consultation,it's just a complete rip off will never be back near it and would advice people to look elsewhere.....
Fantastic experience: This wasn’t my usual vets but we were referred here for a CT Scan for my beloved retriever, Max. Sadly the results of the scan showed an inoperable tumour. Rachel was extremely good, sensitive and informative. Because of the extent of the tumour, the best thing for Max was to be out to sleep and we agreed to come back a couple of days later to allow us to have some final precious time with him. On the day, we were so thankful for Gabrielle. She was incredibly empathetic, caring and hit the right cord with us. We were all incredibly upset including my children and she took us through the whole process incredibly well. It was a privilege to be there with Max until the end. I want to thank all the staff who clearly understood how awful a time this was for us and who were so patient and understanding. We are all incredibly grateful.
Negative experience: Horrible vets Avoid Only care about money After taking a wee stray cat up who was crying in pain and couldn't walk a nurse seen him then informed us it would be £280 to see a vet I told her we couldn't afford it and her advice was "to put him back where he was " even though she had said he was lethargic and lame on his leg ! But yes just put him back on the street . Absolutely disgusting attitude to poor animals. Luckily a local rescue helped him . No thanks to this awful vets with their disgusting attitude
Fantastic experience: My dog' s condition/ pain has improved a lot. She is almost 14 and still able to walk when there were times we thought we would lose her. Thank you Earlswood Team!
Positive experience: Great facilities and staff are well trained. Had one or two issues with care of my animal and lack of getting any pain meds when she was sent home with possible Meningitis (which it seemed to be, we lost the dog, same vets euthanized her when we rushed her back in 2 days later) Also original estimated price of care when we brought her in first and the estimate we got a day before we drove 3+ hours to collect dog was off by quite some amount. Was estimated 6 to 7 hundred but cost was actually 1350! I have seen on multiple Google. And yellow page reviews that this is often the case with this animal hospital so be wary that your estimate may not be accurate and seems to be usually wildy underestimated. Bit of a shock when we collected our animal Also have seem many people bringing there animals here for Minor things thing complaining about costs. I wouldn't advise using for minor injuries or health issues as this place is a specialist vet and animal hospital. Normal everyday pet stuff probably will cost a lot more here then a standard veterinary surgery, be aware people!! The facility and vets themselves are great though from I have experienced. They didn't do too well with our pupper but I am confident they done the best that was possible considering the rarity difficulty of diagnosis in my dogs' particular situation, so no major complaints really in regards overall care. *edit original review was 4 stars, after my local vet contacted this office they reduced the price of care of my animal closer to original estimate, so edited to full 5 stars, although they technically didn't have to, It was very appreciated when they did as it was a really tough time for us losing our dog and arguably there was some minor issues with the animal not getting correctly diagnosed and ethnised earlier. Can't complain, is what it is, crap situation for all at the end of the day the correct and right thing was done IMO. 5 stars.
Fantastic experience: Professional approach. They immediately took our dog and helped him. Thank you very much.
Fantastic experience: Our vet Ross was excellent; professional, kind and understanding . He was there at 8 am and still working 10 hours later ! He removed a large facial tumour from our dog's face which was incredible. Becky and Kim at reception were so calming and pleasant. The place was spotless and the operation was considerably less cost than expected. thankyou for helping our wee pip and being brilliant with a very emotional owner!
Fantastic experience: Very quick appointment, And an excellent consultation with the vet. Hamish is feeling and looking like a new dog this morning. Thank you to everyone at Earlswood veterinary practice.
Fantastic experience: In the early hours of Saturday morning we were referred to this clinic for an emergency with our cat. The staff were so nice and companionate, unfortunately we find out that we have to put him down due to a rare heart condition that just occurred and caused blood clots and his back legs to go off. He also had troubles breathing due to liquid in his lungs. It all was so sudden from him being a good healthy 5 year old cat to being unable to breath and in so much pain… We were explained that nothing can be done and the best thing would be ending his suffering. Vet gave us time to get used to the fact and after providing my wee boy with painkiller we were able to go to separate room to say goodbye and be with him while he takes his last breath. This whole proces was traumatic and i am really glad there was this amazing calm and patient stuff on shift. It definitely made the experience better.
Fantastic experience: Was sent to Earlswood with my staffy Bell, her sodium levels were extremely high, Bell stayed with Earlswood for treatment for a week and half, they kept me upto date daily with 2 phone calls and we were able to visit Bell, our vet Rachel was amazing in how she cared for Bell, explained Bells illness and worked with us on increasing Bells water in take and her food schedule. Bell was happy to go for her weekly check up as all the staff gave her loads of attention, we can not thank the staff at Earlswood enough, so happy to have a healthier dog than she was 3wks ago, thank you from the johnstons
Fantastic experience: The staff at Earlswood were fantastic. Went above and beyond
Fantastic experience: Had gone here for an emergency appointment with my dog Benjamin, unfortunately we had to let him go and the staff in here have been nothing but kind and amazing with us throughout the process, I had just gone to pick up his ashes tonight and all the ladies said they were sorry for my loss. Great vets and thankyou for giving my baby a comfortable last few hours x
Fantastic experience: Assessment by Elsa on our beloved Cocker Sonny. Helpful, empathetic and knowledgeable. Recommended.
Fantastic experience: What can I say? I would have no hesitation in recommending Earlswood Veterinary although we attended the Vets Now out of hours service. After a misdiagnosis from our own vets Jillian has potentially saved our little Mileys life. Totally professional and proficient from start to finish. Thank-you Earlswood vets
Fantastic experience: Totally professional. They cared for our Blu, as if he was their own dog.
Fantastic experience: Such a wonderful vet clinic. All of the staff are lovely and you can tell they really love animals. Special thanks to Siobhan & her team for all the care and love they show to our cat Pumpkin, and all the other pets we see them with.
Fantastic experience: Everyone here is extremely professional and courteous. I felt our dog was very well handled and I'm confident in his recovery.
Fantastic experience: My daughter has a wee rabbit that means the world to her. I woke up last week one morning and the rabbit looked like she was dying. When I lived in a she had wounds all over her belly. I was turned away from two vets who won’t touch rabbits. When I arrived at Earlswood they calmed me down and attended to her immediately. She is doing very well, and I cannot thank you them enough
Fantastic experience: Great veterinary service. Nice stress free environment. All members of staff demonstrate compassion, respect and love to animals. Top class competence of pets' doctors.
Fantastic experience: Nice staff, quick efficient. We've only done pet passport and a vaccine.
Fantastic experience: Great veterinary hospital.. nice friendly staff and animal care is top notch from my experience
Fantastic experience: Very helpful team at the vet's. The vet Andrew explained clearly the operation he was going to undertake on our cat
Fantastic experience: I took my 4 yr old bulldog here for TPLO surgery on his knee after we were referred by our own vet. I was worried sick but Greg the surgeon put me at ease straight away. The surgery was a success and any concerns we had we were able to email Greg who responded very quickly. The aftercare was amazing and I can't praise the staff and Greg enough as our big lad isnt fond of the vets!! I would have no hesitation in going back or recommending Earlswood to other pet owners.
Fantastic experience: So impressed with the care my dog received here. We arrived just after lunch following an emergency referral from our vet and he was scanned and operated on that afternoon. We were kept fully up to date with his recovery by his nurses and surgical team and is now back home.
Negative experience: Wouldn't recommended at all, got referred here for a mri as my frenchies back end had gone, to start with noone seemed to listen to us just went off they own Assumption which was fair enough as they are the professionals (Apparently) they booked him for a scan on his spine even after us querying his leg and hip movement, they ended up mri scanning his spine and found A slight deformatory which they pinned it to and told us there's nothing we can do it's just pain management, to then take him to a dog Physio therapist that straight away pointed out it was his hips we then went home and researched it and the number 1 problem with this breed is hip displacement... in total we where charged over £2500 and got nowhere with wrong treatment and left with a sick dog and empty bank account, even after chasing it up with the practice there was no outcome and very little feed back and I had to go out my way to hear from them, very careless and overrated.....
I am sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with the service provided to you. Our vet surgeons have tried, unsuccessfully, to contact you to discuss findings from the MRI. Please do contact us to clarify our findings.
Fantastic experience: If you want a warm welcome and a skilled vet who listens well Earlswood is the place to go
Fantastic experience: Holistic vets are amazing. My wee Holly has improved so much with acupuncture and Lazer
Fantastic experience: The staff are exceptional from the reception to the vets. They explained all the pros and cons of the surgery. And all the costs. Highly knowledgeable and caring.
Fantastic experience: There's more than one Supervet here. Couldn't be more impressed with the care from vets, nurses and reception staff involved in getting Nuala back on her hind legs after 4 operations. Special thanks to Andrew and Greg. Would give more stars if I could.
Fantastic experience: Hi I would recommend this place to everyone they are amazing from start to finish they explained everything that they was going to do for my dog's operation on his back leg they kept me informed on how the operation went and everything if any of my dog's need any more operations that's the place I will take them to I can't thank them enough for what they have done
Fantastic experience: Would highly recommend Earlswood Veterinary for treatment. The staff were all very helpful, friendly, explained in detail treatment and costs involved in Rosie's care.
Fantastic experience: I was so lucky to have been at Earlswood after calling the emergency "Vets Now" number. The care & kindness they not only showed to my injured cat but also to me was amazing . Veterinary nurse Jeanette even came to my home in the early hours to help retrieve my hurt & frightened cat hiding under a bed & I cannot thank her enough for her kindness. A great Vet & Nurse team I cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank-you again.
Fantastic experience: This vet is brilliant my dog always turns up here when he escapes from the garden. Jenson says hello.
Positive experience: Great service but £359 for a dogs bleeding broken nail.. Bandage and pain killers. Wasn't told it was vets now... assumed I was getting care from Earlswood
Fantastic experience: Fantastic service . Vets took a lot of time to explain a rare and complicated condition. We feel very supported and confident in the team
Fantastic experience: Very caring and all medical problems explained to us THROUGHLY. Had to to put our lovely LULU to sleep. Staff were great and thoughtful.
Fantastic experience: Really nice vets and the care they took with my dog, she's loves to visit.
Negative experience: Used as an out of hours emergency vet and had the displeasure of meeting the most unfriendly, sour excuse of a woman. Questioned what our usual vet had diagnosed without even knowing the dogs name, never mind her medical history. I think this particular lady needs some retraining as she made an unpleasant night much worse for me and family
Kyle, I am sorry to hear about your poor experience. Out of hours emergency is provided by Vets Now within the Earlswood Veterinary premises. You may wish to follow up with Vets Now directly. Maxime Sizaret, Practice Director, Earlswood Veterinary
Negative experience: Totally agree with other poor review it must have been the same person I got on Monday night around 23.30. Not a compassionate bone in that woman's body. Charged £500.50 to have dog put to sleep. Totally distressed with the whole ordeal. Very very poor for an after hours service when you have no choice as your own caring vet who knows the dog and family is not available.
Sylvia, I am sorry to hear that you felt your experience was poor. Out of hours is provided by Vets Now, within Earlswood Veterinary building. You may wish to contact them directly to feedback on your experience.
Fantastic experience: Our overall experience The Receptionists were cortious & friendly We have had great confidence in our dealings with Andrew Burns As he explained what he was going to do in great detail in a language we understood
Fantastic experience: First class Vetinary practice. My dog had gut and heart issues for several years. Previous well known Vet had missed a heart murmer that had caused his heart to become extremely enlarged. I had been with this very well known Vet in Co down for a long time and after only a few visits to Greg and and Heather the heart issue and chronic pancreatitis had been identified and treated successfully Problem was sorted by Heather and Greg within a few months of joining the practice. They referred me to a cardiologist who carried out some scans and was was able to prescribe the correct medication Very highly recommended.
Fantastic experience: Fantastic care from Heather the vet. Really thorough investigations and kept us informed throughout. Reception staff warm and welcoming would highly recommend this facility if you need additional help for your pet.
Negative experience: We took our dog at 4am as an emergency, the vet was one sour faced person. Miserable and unhelpful. She was not pleasant at all. When people are paying nearly £300 just for a consultation then you should be friendly and smiling and at least communicate in a kind and caring compassionate way. Vile person.
Lee, I am sorry to hear about your poor experience. Out of hours emergency is provided by Vets Now independently from Earlswood Veterinary. You may wish to follow up with them directly
Positive experience: Reception staff lovely. 5 star's for this lady who was very pleasant. The vet I had the misfortune to meet, who's name I don't now Unable to communicate with humans or make eye contact. Never introduced himself. We felt he was rude when he was rough handling our puppy. We commented on thus and he was very sarcastic back. = 0 star's for him. The appointment was for an assessment so no need to see again. Suggested if I had insurance could have an MRI but it wouldn't give more information to the diagnosis.
Fantastic experience: They saved my kitty legs after she was hit by a car, thank you so much you all were very helpful
Fantastic experience: My bulldog had a TPLO operation on back left leg. No complaints 7weeks into recovery and all well.
Fantastic experience: We have had to use Earlswood Veterinary on two occasions now. The first was an emergency and their swift action saved our pet (thanks to Greg). Each time we have felt we were in good hands and although a busy practice, at the consultation all concerns are listened to and answered but having no insurance it's quite pricey. So always insure. Just thankful our dogs on the mend. Thanks to Aisling and the rest of the team.
Positive experience: If your getting your dog put down out of hours I would definitely shop around. Respectfully dealt with though.
Fantastic experience: As always, first class service and care for our pet. The team always do a thorough examination to determine diagnosis, explaining potential cost outlays for X-rays and tests if required. The whole team at Earlswood deliver excellent customer service and the highest level of treatment and care for your animals. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!
Fantastic experience: Posting this a year after discharge from Earlswood as i wanted to be sure we were really finished with treatment. I can only say that being referred to this amazing vets saved our beloved pup’s life and she is now doing well . They stopped at nothing to diagnose and treat her. Everything was done with consultation and respect for the financial implications for us. A completely professional, yet caring service. We saw many Earlswood vets along the way who were all amazing, but a special mention has to go to the wonderful Heather who went above and beyond to find solutions. Simply the best.
Fantastic experience: Excellent service and treatment as always a kind caring efficient practice
Positive experience: Rocco was referred to Earlswood with complicated conditions which Aisling and Heather are doing their best to try and sort out. They have been great in explaining things to us and offering advice and making us feel that Rocco is in the best hands. The reception staff are also really friendly and efficient and usually make time for a cuddle with Rocco too. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is for the cost - but then I guess you are paying for the quality of care received.
Fantastic experience: Earlswood is a fantastic vets I am been using them for at least 16 years now they have always been caring and helpful I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone with concerns about their pet first class but I have to add not cheap
Fantastic experience: Unbelievable team at Earlswood, I couldn't be anymore thankful and would highly recommend... Our vet couldn't find what was wrong with our 3 year old lab who had an extremely swollen abdomen, we were told to expect the worst Admitted into Earlswood, expert opinion given which was honest, treatment commenced and after being admitted for 2 weeks we finally got her home back to the dog we knew, still alot of treatment to go but am confident we are in the best of hands Constantly updated on our dogs progress, always available for questions and honest answers given, they literally couldn't do any more, reception staff welcoming what more can I say From Suzie, Aisling, Rachel, too many lovely caring people to mention, the team is literally amazing. They treat your pet like their own, the compassion and care given to both the pet and owners is second to none Worth every penny
Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, looked after cat with broken leg with great affection.
Negative experience: Waited 13 days to be told that they were fully booked, after giving me a provisional appointment. My dog had a wasting illness, had we been told straight away we could have had a different practice see him and maybe help him. As it was, my pup didn't make it. I blame Earlswood as that 13 wasted days was time my wee fella didn't have. No animal deserves that much disrespect.
Fantastic experience: Very friendly and caring staff. Diagnosis and treatment carried out quickly and efficiently. Would highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: Although I am not yet finish with my pups treatment for a total Hip Replacement, so far I can not fault the care he has had, they have also been very good at explaining everything to me step by step.
Fantastic experience: We've had our wee dog up a few times at Earlswood and can only speak highly of the professionalism of the whole team.
Fantastic experience: All Earlswood staff are professional, caring and helpful, always trying to get the best result for my pet.
Positive experience: Maxine was extremely helpful and did all she could to help our dog Maggie. Only criticism is the price it was quite extortionate
Fantastic experience: The staff were really friendly and very caring towards my dog. I highly recommend this veterinary hospital.
