Fantastic experience: Gortlands Clinic has cared for my pets for many years. I have found their vets to be professional and pragmatic, never forcing a 'hard sell' on treatments but walking me through the options. On the awful occasions where it was time to say goodbye to my older pets, their staff were realistic, and I never once felt 'given the squeeze' to continue a medicine or treatment. They have friendly and helpful reception staff too.

Fantastic experience: Super service, professional, proficient and caring. The vet, Emily, was thorough and engaging, placing my Vizsla completely at ease during his examination and vaccination.

Fantastic experience: Gortlands veterinary practice are caring and provide an excellent service without the rip off prices other practices may charge. We have used Gortlands for over 25 years for our various pets and wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: David the Vet and all the staff were brilliant. Our dog is now walking without any sign of the ligament damage. It was the first major thing we have ever needed operated on for any of our dogs. Everyone at Gotlands were supportive and made a stressful time more bearable. Can’t recommend them enough.

Fantastic experience: We have been with Gortland’s for 17 years with all our cats in good times kittens - and sickness and end of life. The staff have always been so caring and professional. We wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Positive experience: We have always used here for all our dogs but unfortunately it seems money is taking priority over anything else. £43 for a 2 minute dog nail clipping is extortionate. Nothing to do with the receptionist at all. It should have been explained that if I had booked the nurse it would have been £27 and even that is expensive. That can't be justified and I will be calling the practice manager through the week

Fantastic experience: I've been a client at Gortlands for almost 30 years. I've had 4 cats and recently our vet is Dr Johnny Love. Can't praise him highly enough as he is patient , sympathetic and knows and remembers his patients names. The practice works effectively to provide a great service that clearly loves all the animals and understands owners.

Fantastic experience: Received a text reminder that our Goldie needed her vaccinations and health check up so duly attended for same. Service with smile from reception staff. Called through by the vet, dog weighed, checked over, questions asked, health discussed and vaccinations given all with a very pleasant, efficient and quick service. Everyone seems to genuinely care about your pet. Excellent experience.

Fantastic experience: I visited Gortlands Veterinary Clinic for my 4 year old cavapoo’s annual vaccinations. I was early and was seen ahead of my appointment (no waiting as my dog is nervous). The gentleman we saw carried out a health check on Lola and administered the vaccination and kennel cough spray. He was very gentle with Lola and answered all my queries. It was a positive experience. I would not hesitate to recommend Gortlands to my friends.

Fantastic experience: From the moment you walk through the door the staff at reception always welcome you with a friendly smile and hello. We been with Gortlands over 20 years with all our pets. We wouldnt go anywhere else. Bonnie has a skin condition and is on steroids and yesterday we where their for her boosters and check up. She been look after well by the vet david beattie and her skin condition is under control and will be on steroids the rest of her life.we wouldn't go to another veterinary

Fantastic experience: Super impressed this week with Gortland Vets, I had my hands full with my toddler and fur baby (Reggie)- the receptionist help me in from the car- such a help with prams, heavy doors and leads The Vet was so so so helpful, Reggie didn’t like his booster injection and was super upset. She helped calm him down, and gave him some treats. Thank you

Fantastic experience: Gortlands is a friendly animal loving practice. Thir care and compassion for daisy was above and beyond and the wee touches after she passed were so appreciated . Lucie-Lou now.attwnds gortlands and gets the same.love and commitment that daisy got over her 12 years with us. They are more about living and caring for our pets than profit and thats a rare find these day .

Fantastic experience: Amazing vets and I have been going for years. So caring and friendly and our dogs love going....work that one out! Just says how good they are. Reception staff very helpful too. When we had to let one of our dogs cross the rainbow bridge they let us come at closing time and didn't rush us at all.

Fantastic experience: Had my new kitten up yesterday for a check up & first vaccinations & flea & worm treatment. Joined their monthly cat plan so paid considerably less than I would have normally. Was offered a free months pet insurance too. All vets really nice & friendly. Have been coming here for years with my various cats. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: I have been with Gortland Vet for many years, I have tried vets nearer to me, throughout this time, but they do not compare with Gortland Vet, so I have a bit to travel to get there, but it’s worth it, the staff, all the staff are considerate, kind and always willing to help, I can only say great things things about Gortland Vet and would highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Gortlands vet is the best one in Belfast, I have used them for many years with different dogs and recently got my dog Riley neutered. They are very reasonably priced, compared to other vets in the city. They really care about your pet, and it seems much more than just a job to them. All the vets are lovely, and they take their time to make sure your pet is well looked after. I wouldn't go to any other vet, even tho I live in North Belfast. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs a good reliable vet. I would give them more than 5* if I could ❤️

Fantastic experience: When at Gortlands today my dog did a wee on the floor as she so nervous, I was so embarrassed but the receptionist came out with a mop and cleaned it up and petted the dog , told me not to worry it was no big deal, the vet was nice and gentle, my dog was in heat and she checked her all out and chatted away about everything, such a relaxed experience for me and my dog.

Fantastic experience: We have been talking our dogs to Gortlands for 6 years now and they have received excellent care. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

Fantastic experience: I have two strong and active GR boys approaching one and a half years. The clinic offered me to wait outside with them and when the vet was available she came to meet the dogs and then was able to administer injections reducing the stress of visiting inside the clinic. It was a stress reduction process which I wholly appreciated.

Negative experience: I rehomed 2 kittens and booked into Gortlands as I have been with them with several pets for over 17 years. I was told they do a kitten pack at £70 each which includes a consultation with vet 1st and 2nd vaccines, flea, worm treatments and microchipping so I thought it was a good deal and went ahead and booked them in. I told them they were sneezing and had watery eyes. They said it was fine and they would check them. When I went to appointment I was told they had cat flu so I would need to come back which is fine but then they tried to charge me £35. I think this is unfair as a consultation was meant to be included in kitten pack. If they had said there may be extra charges I would of known but I don’t have money to spare. How many of these checkups will I need to pay before I get the kitten pack. They did not explain to me about this extra charge. The staff in Gortlands are really lovely but the manager had no care as to what I was told and that was their charge. Then she proceeded to tell me that I should go elsewhere and she would wipe me from the system. 17 years with them and that’s the attitude. I am really upset about this and that she didn’t try to rectify the problem or offer discount. I am disabled and this was handiest vet to me so really disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Staff are always very friendly and genuinely appear to care about the animals. Always easy enough to get an appointment. Treatment is expensive but seams to be the case with all vets.

Negative experience: Absolutely shocking how they make up their prices. Took my wee dog for a annual booster today he also got kennel cough & worm tablets total cost £91.34 for not even 1/2 consultation as a matter of fact they kept me waiting 15 minutes outrageous will think again before we are back after all Gortlands have been our vets for 20 years disappointing is putting it mild

The whole team are just wonderful with our animals. We have recommended them to all our friends. They are great with our animals and explain things really well.

Negative experience: Took a young, injured wild bird for treatment. No interest in helping, told they can put it to sleep as its going to die. I took it home, fed it, and it survived. Thanks for nothing.

Negative experience: Took my mum's dog for her to be put to sleep as she wasn't well enough to go. Really wish i hadn't. Vet shaved leg then proceeded to jab the poor dog several times while she made myself and mums friend hold him down. She said if i don't get vein next time I'll put it into kidney. I felt like punching her. Should've done it before the poor dog was stressed out. I've never been so angry. Then had to lie to mum and tell her it went ok as she'd have been gutted. Was complete opposite when i went to different vet with my cat. This was a while ago but i realised i never reviewed it. Wouldn't go back to them.

Fantastic experience: The practice is lovely, clean and very modern. They always try to accommodate any urgent appointments and happy to go through all the concerns in detail without rushing you. I think the overall prices in this practice are a bit on the higher end but you do get incredible specialists that truly care about your pet. I’d like to give a particularly massive shout out to the vet called Emily Barr who is just such an amazing professional - very pleasant, extremely caring, super knowledgeable and so so kind and patient with our doggy Charlie. Emily always follows up when she says she will and provides an exceptionally thorough and helpful advice!
