Fantastic experience: This is a fantastic clinic. We moved to the area and had yet to register our cat at a vets when she became very unwell (unrelated). The clinic acted swiftly and thoroughly and saved her life remaining empathetic but clear, keeping us informed throughout. Their follow-up was thorough and we are now confident our cat is in good health and on the right medication regime which is being continually monitored. We are so grateful for Richard and the team and happy to see our cat doing so well. Thanks so much

Fantastic experience: Could not recommend this place highly enough. We've been with them for years with our cats and have always found them very knowledgeable, caring and easy to get appointments. Recently our elderly cat had surgery to remove a tumour which was unfortunately unsuccessful and the staff here could not have done enough for us. So kind, so patient and kept us informed all the way through. Even took some little clippings of her fur and paw prints for us to keep and sent us a beautiful plant to keep in the garden. Not just 5 star service, 100 star ⭐

Fantastic experience: Very grateful to all involved in looking after my little dog Daisy this week. The vet was great giving me updates, even though it wasn't always good news, and the nurses were giving her loads of attention during her stay. Very glad to have her back home thanks to them.

Fantastic experience: The friendly folk at Cedar Grove do a fantastic job caring for our dog. Took our we jack Russel in today, as she's slowed down a lot and looking a bit sorry for herself. May have hurt her back. Vet reassured us she'll be OK. A little anti inflation injection and she's perking up already.

Fantastic experience: When you are looking for a vet some of the things you consider are availability; staff with a passion for animals and hopefully not too deer... Now i can't say that Cedar Grove isn't deer.. they are market related and yes, sometimes i hold my breath when i have to pay.. the reason for this is because Cedar Grove provides me with a range of lovely doctors and passionate nurses. I had to take my dearest Bibi to be put to rest, and the way Cedar Grove set everything up to ensure its a quiet hour, where the MOST compassionate, soft spoken, and patient staff were on duty and ready to support me through such a dark hour.. well it deeply moved me... They brought my walls down and somehow softened my heart. You want a Vet that hasn't forgotten to love animals... but with Cedar Grove, you feel loved yourself when you are going through the biggest moment of your life... To conclude: with Cedar Grove you get qualified, professional staff that know what they do, especially doctor John and Allison. They always try and fit your pet in when they are sick And you get a place that moves heaven and earth for you when it counts .. on your dearest pet's last day .. and for that i am willing to pay a premium. Please allow me to share some photos of Bibi for old time sake as a tribute to the Amazing doggy (practically human) she was.

Fantastic experience: Our visit to the vet was for annual vaccinations and health check for our pet. The vet was both professional and caring towards our cat. She gave us helpful advice about caring for her now that she is 18 years old.

Answer to my question for my dog in pain day after go to u own vet for pain relief wee are busy ... Girl handed over my dog after being knocked out n could hardly stand . Said give tablets. No wait I don't no ...?? Great advice .while she was chewing flat out on chewing gum ... could not care less .. most def would not recommend . Nice telephone manners that's it

I can honestly say in all that time I have found the vets & staff to be nothing other than helpful, friendly, courteous & professional. Excellent service.

Fantastic experience: The Upper Knockbreda Road Clinic is just fantastic. All the staff are brilliant; very helpful, very willing to assist in any way they can, and go out of their way to ensure I have had my queries dealt with to my satisfaction. The vet, Craig, who cares for my lovely cat is totally amazing and always makes sure I fully understand the treatment and / or procedures he undertakes when my cat goes to him for treatment or check-ups. Because she is now quite old does a thorough job in his consultations. (I wish I had such an attentive "doctor" as my cat has!) I would also mention Helen, one of the nurses, who on occasion has gone out of her way to help and assist me; certainly not in her job description. The surgery itself is very welcoming, spotlessly clean, and there is easy access to all facilities, as well as always having enough reception staff to ensure you are not kept waiting at any time. I would totally recommend this Veterinary Clinic to anyone; my cat has been a "patient" here now for years, and I would not dream of taking her anywhere else. Fantastic experience: We've been with Cedar Grove for almost five years and just moved due to relocating. And oh gosh we miss them bad. You don't know fantastic, until you lose it. Like any long term relationship it wasn't without hiccups. We had misdiagnosis, and sometime confusions and disagreements, but we have three pets and been at Cedar Grove with at least one of them at least twice a months. They have a lot of vets there and some are not as good as others, so it will take you time to find the one for you. We want to say special thanks to Caitlin who always done the right thing for our pets. The receptions stuff is the friendliest, most helpful bunch of people we met in customer service, insurance people are amazing. We never had an issue with an appointment or paying our bills. We always had medicine we needed, we always had referrals we needed, we always were called back by the vets with results, we always had emergency appointments available to us. So yeah, they are the best vets in Belfast, no need looking somewhere else. We miss you all guys, especially reception team. Thank you so much!

Everyone goes that extra mile to make sure the pets and the owners are in a happy place - comfortable, safe and secure.

Fantastic experience: Have been using Cedar Grove Vets, and their satellite surgery Ormeau Vets for over 20 years. In my opinion they are the best vets practice in Belfast. All my cats and dogs, all adopted rescues, have been through their doors and they've given them all the best chance to have long, healthy and happy lives. And when the end comes I know I can trust their years' of knowing me and each pet, and their expertise, to help me decide when it's the kindest time to let go. So grateful to all the vets, nurses and receptionists for their help, expertise and kindness over all the years. Especially grateful on behalf of my nervous, traumatised rescue Collies, Lucy and Sionna.

John worked wonders on our golden retriever years ago after bursting 2 discs in her back. She’s still going at 13 years plus. I don’t usually leave reviews but definitely would recommend! Fantastic experience: Have been with Cedar Grove from 2003 when I got my first dog and wouldnt really go anywhere else. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for the staff and neither is getting appointments when you need one. Ive had to attend with 2 of my dogs quite a bit over the past year or so and I cannot thank the reception and veterinary staff enough and in particular Alison Love for the care and professionalism shown to my dogs and I. An excellent practice with a great team of staff and facilities.

Fantastic experience: Ozzy received such a warm welcome from Erin and her colleagues when we arrived at reception. The vet, Craig, was great. Very knowledgeable, and patient with mum and dads questions! We left feeling very content, following a comprehensive assessment of Ozzys health and diet and advice for mum and dad.

Fantastic experience: Charlie was put as an emergency case from my vets in cookstown parklands. I was seen within a few hours. Had ct scan and surgery straight after. Craig the vet was amazing. Explained everything and dealt with us in a friendly professional manner. My wee dog has had his spinal surgery and is still there. I get daily phone calls. I can’t recommend this practice enough. Efficient , friendly and AMAZING A* from me and Charlie

Fantastic experience: Have been with cadar Grove knockbreda vets for quite a few years & attented with 2 cats smudge in photo & willow both unfortunately had to be put to sleep. I'm now owner of gizmo a little shih tzu so he's now going to cedars have always found them very friendly & helpful a really great team so would highly recommend

Fantastic experience: We have recently moved over here from England and our border collie Noah needed an op. Was given this vets details and we are extremely pleased for all their help and support. They were very good with Noah. We left him with the nurse on the day. The vet rang us asked questions before he had surgery, as there was a couple of queries and he wanted to double check with us and to ensure we were happy to proceed. They kept us up to date and gave us all the information on his procedure. The after care was brilliant reassuring us of how to care for him and the vet was really caring with Noah, would recommend this vets and will definitely be our vets now. Fantastic experience: We had a long journey to get to Cedar Grove and were 20mins late, but they were very understanding. Craig was lovely and very professional. Our wee dog had been hit by a car, so we were a bit anxious so needed someone like craig to talk to, and explain what tests he would do, and the treatments she might need. Thankfully she was ok, and when we collected her the next day, i just knew she had been well cared for. Excellent place

Fantastic experience: Great vets. Took my cockatiel during bank holiday when could not get an Avian vet. Even though they specified they don't deal with birds they were very helpful and my little guy was treated wonderful. Vet assistants, reception and Vet were great. Thanks for taking care of him. Much better now.

Fantastic experience: Well for a vet it's 5star just for normal stuff. Unfortunately they don't have a averian vet their so I was disappointed about that. Hence only 3stars.on phone I clearly asked certain things to be done beak nails clipped and wings clipped which means hair cut for birds via cut 5 outer feathers from each wing. They still fly but not far hence can be left out of cadge all day. Feathers grow back just like hair dose. I told long wait for appointment as that's earlyest date averian vet can come to their practice. OK accept appointment but was no averian vet and told its ileagal to cut birds flight feathers I explained what I wanted done to avoid missunderstanding. Anyway vet there did sort out. My parrots beak and claws at reasonable price. But as could have avoided such delays in seeing a vet just to do nails and beak which any vet would be able to do much closer to home long trip there was quite inconvenient. Otherwise yes good service my bird happy but still stuck in cadge. I do wonder if vet told me truth regarding legal issues but sure I'll find out from averian vet which i still have to find.I had to do bit DIY get couple mop handles and Velcro them on to TV as that is my parrot favourite place. Saved lot of inconvenience if vet had trimmed her flight feathers.well here update not illegal to trim flight feathers which grow back in 3months.i have done it myself very easy to do and painless. Quality of life for her vastly better she very happy bird.she doesn't like me to leave room start sqauk I now just carry her around once she realised I'm only going to kitchen she now waits 30min before sqauk. I tried to avoid timing 10 feathers but had to as 5 feathers removed made no difference. I have worry about her because her stomach rumbling regularly she fed good diet so was going get nails cut and checkup but 38 pounds consulting fee bit steap hence I put her on. Travel cadge door open and used sizers she not even bothered so order nail clippers 8pound.have to do it myself find cheaper places closer to home for checkup. Not working so 38pound and bus fare put me off.my lovely parrot was stolen from me if you see her contact the police

Fantastic experience: Brought my wee mouse round, they said they usually see dogs and cats but would gladly see him. The social distancing measures were perfect and made me feel comfortable and safe. The vet was brilliant, really welcoming and friendly. She took him in for 25 minutes and even weighed him (36g! Cute!) so that I could get the appropriate medication. The information was clear and concise. I followed all the advice to get him better settled in our new house as he was stressed. The change in him has been monumental, he's back to himself, interested in the things he used to enjoy and all his fur has grown back and hes really content and happy. I'm delighted. Having him stressed was an extra strain on an already stressful time and this has made all the difference. Ridiculously reasonable for the care and time taken with him from start to finish. Thank you to all the staff from me and Maurice!

Fantastic experience: The best team of staff, the vets, the nurses, reception, everyone that has every looked after my dog in an emergency or routine checks have been perfect. They are caring and genuine in their interactions. John the vet was particularly outstanding and thinks outside the box when it comes to procedures to help my Daisy dog. The nurses remember her each time and I feel relaxed on knowing they are taking care of her aswel as treating her medically.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful vets! We have taken all our pets here over the years, even though they are not our local practice as they treat the animals so well. They recently saved my cat's life when we thought we were going to lose her. I will always be grateful! Just a few months later one of our other cats was in an accident and dislocated her hip badly. The vets performed specialised surgery on her and now 7 months on you wouldn't know anything had happened to her!

Fantastic experience: They are so good with the animals and options provided to you; in the sad event you need to say goodbye to a loved one they offer great support and understanding with regards leaving via a private exit and making arrangements later. I've always felt my pets were in the best hands here and although money should never be a factor with a furry family member they really do make everything fair. Couldn't ask for a better vet.

Fantastic experience: I brought my cat in to have her spayed. Was seen by John - very professional, thorough - reassuring. The procedure went to plan and she is making a full recovery. The staff on the desk were great - they followed up by phone to let me know she was in recovery, in good form and ready to be picked up. They are open late which made it easy for me to collect after work. Finally - the bill was much less than what I expected! Hard to beat - will definitely come back.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Cedar Grove by my local veterinary clinic when they'd reached the limit of what their diagnostic equipment could do for my cat (being out in the country, they specialize in livestock rather than household pets). This was an excellent recommendation on their part. Cedar Grove is professional, modern, extremely advanced, and kind and courteous as well. The staff listen, provide excellent information, and are warm and comforting in troubling times, even going so far as to encourage me to phone them with updates regardless of improvement or a downturn in condition. Their charges, considering the high caliber of service, are very reasonable. Despite them being quite a distance from my home, I would not hesitate to bring my cat, nor any potential future pet, to them for veterinary attention. Nor should anyone else. Highly recommended.
