Fantastic experience: A very caring and professional veterinary practice. I feel my cats receive excellent care and treatment. I would be more than happy to recommend this clinic. I have adopted a very nervous young cat, which has taken a while to build up her trust with me. She was booked in for her annual health check and booster vaccination. The vet was aware of her situation and treated her with the upmost care to ensure she was made comfortable and not unnecessarily stressed. I was very impressed and made to feel my little girl was in caring and safe hands.

Fantastic experience: We have used Cat & Rabbit for two of our cats and all of our interactions have been empathetic positive and professional. At a previous vet we always felt that they were upselling on each visit. Although I do love dogs it is also a much nicer experience to take a cat to a vet that only treats cats and small mammals. Vet Kim is such a cat lover and understands all aspects of their behaviour. We always feel that we can ask for her advice on any aspect of cat care and she always takes the time to listen and understand our pet before giving advice. Couldn’t recommend more.

We've been with them from the day we got our ginger furball, picked them from other people's recommendations and now we can't recommend them enough. They genuinely care about the animals. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: There is NO other veterinary practice that gives the outstanding service you and your pets receive from the Cat & Rabbit CC. It all starts with the high standards, personalised care and commitment from Simon and Kim. They ensure every single person that works for them mirrors their belief that every pet and owner should have the very best. They are so pationate, they treat and talk to your pets as if they are human. It would not matter where I lived in the UK, I would still want to bring my cats to the Cat & Rabbit CC. A special mention about Sophie. One of our cats became very sick earlier this year. Sophie realised how serious it was and said he needed a specialist veterinary hospital in Cambridge and made all the arrangments. Without Sophie's foresight, our cat would not be here. Fantastic experience: I’ve been attending cat and rabbit for as many years as I can remember, following its location wherever it moved, because Kim & Simon especially are out of this world and worth traveling for! I visited yesterday for a simple vaccination, and yet also came away with multiple options for when my baby arrives, due to having a very anxious rescue cat that I fear will not cope with a young baby. I suddenly felt less worried and anxious as Kim went above and beyond as always to reassure me with options to help my Smokey have the happiest life!

Fantastic experience: We visited the Duston Cat and Rabbit Clinic with our cat Bumble, for the first time and we were so impressed with the care and knowledge shown to us. They even helped us with health guidance for our other cat. This vet’s was recommended to us and we cannot be more grateful for the recommendation.

Fantastic experience: Extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable professionals from the moment you walk in. Very gentle with animals and convey a genuine care and interest of their patients. Moved here from two other vet practices and am very pleased I did, everyone is so lovely here and easy to talk to, highly recommend. On site parking is an another advantage, with one accessible parking space. Nb: Have yet to test full accessibility for our wheelchair user to be able to fully access the practice while alone, with a pet in tow, but there is a ramp in place and an accessible parking space. Fantastic experience: This is easily the best practice I've ever visited. Kim and Simon are so knowledgeable, they explain everything really well and the positive outcomes speak for themselves. The reception staff are friendly and helpful and everything feels well organised. It's clear they really care for all their patients here, even the very small ones.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic vets and nurses that helped my guinea pigs with dental disease and an abscess . After countless vet visits with other vets I have finally found one that will get my little man on the road to recovery. I now have hope that we can get him sorted, after feeling I would lose him. The three and a half hour trip was very much worth it, thank you again to such an incredible team of people, that are extremely compassionate and caring towards our pets.

My piggie Phillip had cancer, throughout the check ups and when putting him down he was so cared for and handled so gently. Making the experience easier for all of us. Throughout the years Phillip wss here we have tried multiple vets, none have come close to this vet. They are experts on guinea pigs! Fantastic experience: I called one day due to an ill snake and was please to hear they deal with exotics the advice i got was swift and sound and the vet was very proffesionable in her work now i have to come back again as now my boa is ill with ri i look forward to the quality help at reasonable prices

Fantastic experience: By far the best vets I have ever been to.. Simon and Kim are experts with rabbits and guinea pigs. I have been going to them for about 15 years knowing my rabbits are in safe hands and will get the best treatment possible. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Going back about 15 to 16 years when Simon was in limehurst square he took care of all my cats. When my revel was attacked by a fox he took care of him and his caring was just the best. Also took care of my rabbit and my other cats. When he moved I had to go to another vet. I was so happy when he moved back. Simon has a way with animals. Thank you for all the care you give.

Fantastic experience: The best vet to see if you have guinea pigs!! Saved our piggy’s life. One of my guinea pigs stopped eating and drinking and seemed to have problem chewing even though she still really wanted the food. Took her initially to local vet and then was referred to a more specialist place who did a CT scan on her but didn’t seem sure her teeth were enough of a problem and advised she have to put under sedation to explore further. We read about Simon on online forums and were able to quickly get her seen the next day and Simon immediately identified dental disease and corrected her incisors there and then without the risk of sedation. She was also given better pain relief and has started eating again! I’m so grateful as I thought we were losing her and she had lost so much weight. We were immediately impressed by his knowledge of guinea pigs. Thank you very much for your help Simon. I have four other piggies and will be bringing them here if they develop issues in the future.

Fantastic experience: If you have a small animal with dental issues this is the place and they are extremely experienced with this subject. They were excellent with my piggie ground her teeth down and when she needed an operation she was in that day and completed in 6 hours back home. Lovely vets and the reception staff are so kind.

Fantastic experience: Have never had a bad experience at the Cat and Rabbit clinic, all the vets are amazing, our two cats were quite scared when they came in for their vaccinations but the vet was so good with them. I'd definitely recommend this practice

Fantastic experience: The best vets for our two cats. Both are a little nervous and so having a vets where there are no dogs in the waiting room is really helpful. Every vet we’ve seen have always been kind, professional and our cats actually enjoy coming here! Additionally, the reception team are always very helpful and smiley every time we go. We would recommend Cat & Rabbit to anyone looking for a vet for their cat or small animal.

Negative experience: Refusing to see an emergency seizing cat.. and expecting owner to take to Kettering branch does not demonstrate any compassion for Animals... you should be thoroughly ashamed of yourselves!!

Fantastic experience: Words can't even describe the sheer amount of joy it brings to have such a fantastic vet like Kim Maddock. We visited today with our guinea pig Teddie and from the get go the amount of knowledge, reassurance and passion Kim showed was incredible. We sincerely appreciate her time and effort and her consultation shed a lot of light on the health of our guinea pig and a plan to ensure he is in the best health moving forward! Negative experience: Tried to get my bunny in on an emergency appointment as she was suddenly taken ill overnight. I waited and called at 8am in the morning as soon as they had opened and was met with a very unhelpful receptionist who couldn’t care less about the situation I was in. After explaining my situation on the phone very distressed and upset about my bunny, she stated they had no appointments and there was nothing she could do for my bunny who at that point was in a critical condition and needed to see a vet ASAP! She later sadly passed. Would not recommend… no animal care or just human nature in fact from the receptionist. Any true animal lover I would like to believe would have done all that they could in that instance… very poor

Fantastic experience: Kim and Simon are not just amazing vets,but the most genuine and lovable people. I had to take my 14 year old cat Sydney, and unfortunately he had to be put to sleep with stomach cancer. Kim was amazing, told me how it was truthfully but in such a caring way for my Syds best welfare. They would never recommend anything to make money, in fact the opposite they try to keep costs to a minimum. I have been there 15 years and love them the BEST vet practice ever in my 61 years.Thankyou for caring

Fantastic experience: The Cat & Rabbit Care Clinic is a shining example of a genuine caring vets. As I have in the past, I have just taken my cat, Jessie, for her vaccinations and annual health check here. The vet, Kim, was absolutely brilliant. She reassured me answering some questions I had with great information and put my mind at ease. Kim even applied the flea treatment that was due and advised me how better to apply it myself in future. I am not at all surprised people come from miles away to bring their pet here. I have used other veterinary clinics in the past with previous cats but after discovering this clinic, I will never take Jessie anywhere else. The entire staff there are great too, very warm and welcoming on the phone. Thank you all so very much. Keep doing what you do. Revisited September 4 2023: I felt compelled to leave another review due to such caring, knowledgeable, genuine and compassionate treatment from vet Kim who looked at my cat today. As before, she is so utterly fantastic, she really looked after Jessie (and me); she so caring. As I said previously, there is no other Veterinary clinic I would ever go to. All the staff and vets are great and will always be honest with you. Thank you all with a special thanks to Kim.

Fantastic experience: We are so glad that our guinea pigs are registered here. The best by far. We travel from Leicester to make sure our piggies are getting the best care they can after some bad experiences at other non-specialist vets. They are particularly good dentists and regularly file one of ours so he can carry on eating well, after losing a tooth. And with our older ladies, when all options have been exhausted, they advised with honesty and compassion. Fantastic experience: Cannot recommend the team at Cat and Rabbit highly enough for their expertise in small animal medicine. I've used Kim and Simon's services for my guinea pigs the last few year and I would now no longer trust another vet with my piggies. I've found them both easy to communicate with, knowledgeable and passionate about animal care. They have a detailed understanding and respect for the conditions they treat, which I find increasing rare in veterinary medicine. The reception and nursing team are also fantastic, being both knowledgeable about surgical aftercare and always able to fit me in for an emergency appointment if needed.

Fantastic experience: Started taking my guinea pigs here after being failed by even my most trusted local vet nearer to me. We travel an hour, from Huntingdon, to get there but the time, skill and compassion and the thoroughness of the health care is worth the travel. I can't fault Kim and I've heard many fantastic things about Simon and intend to stick with the practice for as long as I have piggies.

Fantastic experience: I have used this practice for some years now for my rabbits, and it really is the the most knowledgable and experienced practice to visit. I would never take my rabbits anywhere else. Simon and Kim are the loveliest people ever, and always know what is wrong with their furry clients. Some of my very complex and very poorly rabbits have been successfully treated here, and I could never thank them enough for all that they have done, and continue to do.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely Brilliant. Our first time visit to this vets to have our rabbit Toffee neutered. Before the op he was given a thorough check & everything was explained to us what would happen by a lady called Kim. We picked him up later in the day after the operation & apart from being quiet he was absolutely fine. We were given medicine for him in case of any infections & are going back in a week for a check up I cannot begin to express how good the vets were, the way Kim & the staff were with him from the first minute they met him, so caring with our precious bundle of fluff. The following morning out of the blue we received a phone call from the vets to ask how he was & if there was anything we needed or they could do. They have gone way above & beyond what we could have wished for. Fantastic vets who care for our pets in the same way we do ❤️

Fantastic experience: Referred here for my bunny with dental problems. Vet was amazing with her. Very gentle and spent ages talking through everything with me. Very impressed

Negative experience: We were referred here on an emergency case as our vet clinics very professional doctor is out for a long time now. Our doe had very hard pregnancy- she reduced her eating, drinking, had poo issues, just was grinning her teeth from pain - its very dangerous condition for any rabbit, especially she had strong digestive issues just few months ago and obviously during pregnancy got it back. Despite of it - no treatment was offered, no one experienced even advised us any operation to move the babies out as she obviously was too weak to give a birth. Just robbed 50 pounds for nothing and we were just sent out saying to let her survive on her own - of course, that night she died trying to give a birth, as she was getting weaker in hours barely eating and almost stopped drinking No words to express our pain and my endless tears!

Fantastic experience: My daughter's guinea pig had to be euthanized recently. The vet was extremely empathetic and left us alone with g'pig to say our goodbyes. All very sad. Couldn't rate them highly enough.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love the team at Northampton practice, always welcoming, friendly, caring and understanding. They always try accommodate appointments and care for my Reina. I got my cat just before covid so this week was the first time I actually saw them in person and they were helpful and caring as they were on the phone. The place was tidy and clean, the environment was pleasant and I'm currently pregnant so I felt also safe. They answered all my questions and reassuring me about my cat and the baby. Absolutely recommend

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to the Cat & Rabbit care clinic for years. Despite moving out of town, I wouldn’t take my buns to anyone else. Kim & Simon’s expertise, is second to none.

Fantastic experience: I'd recommend the Cat and Rabbit clinic to anyone. I was so happy to find this practice. Everywhere else I've been to just ignored the cats, or gave them a cursory glance and muttered 'painkillers'. Kim and Simon both took an interest in my cat's heart condition and health overall, it was SO refreshing. This is how all vet practices should treat cats and cat owners, sadly they don't. Cats still come second to dogs in all first opinion vet practices in my experience. You really don't have to look any further to know your beloved furball is in good hands!
