Negative experience: Had to take my cat to out of hours for eye and gum infection, where he received antibiotics and anti-nausea injections. As soon as we got home, he run to eat and drink and anti-nausea injection lasted for 2 days. Took him to White Cross yesterday morning, as was advised by out of hours to seek virus test and further anti-nausea medication, if he will be nauseous again (from infection). Vet seemed to be slightly lost, kept advising different test options, said that I need full blood test and etc. £862 (!) later, I'm convinced that they just charged me for anti-nausea injection and forgot to actually administrate it, as my cat is hungry, coming to his food, but not eating after visit at vets. And did not give any anti-nausea meds to take home. Received a call from them saying that he does not have any virus, but I need to pay further £1800 for more test, as they think he might have sepsis, but they don't know! And threatened to "investigate my cat's living conditions" after I refused to agree with them! So rude! I would advise investigating actual care by vet, because it seemed that all they want is money and didn't even care about actual pet. My cat is active, drinking, runing up and down the stairs, going to toilet, acting like normal, apart of eating, his gums are not pale or grey - there are no signs of sepsis for £1800! All he needs is anti-nausea meds that they failed to administrate and give any anti-nausea meds to take home! Very disappointed and heartbroken by such a reckless and negligent care of vet...

Positive experience: Had a call to say initial blood tests on our dog came up saying he had a kidney issue. I asked on what scale should I be worried and got told nicely pay £95 for another test and we will let you know. Evidently when I pressed them on this the second test would be the same as the 1st. They left me and my family scared unless we paid another £95.
Fantastic experience: We lost our dog suddenly. The vets were the best that you could hope for giving the circumstances.

Fantastic experience: I visited White Cross with my dog Lola again today to seek advice and have her annual health check and Vacinations.The advice was comprehensive and reassuring. We have a very reasonably priced care plan for Lola which took care of the cost of our consultation, treatment and worming meds.Our regular care plan visits keeps her fit and well. Always great service and care for our pet.
Fantastic experience: I just wanted to write a review to say how fabulous White Cross Vets have been. We have had a very difficult time with our elderly Border Collie who went from tip top to skin cancer ridden in a very short space of time. White Cross and Kristina in particular were absolutely brilliant at assessing, reassuring, advising and treating our Tilley who at around 17 years old was too old for any sort of surgery or intrusive treatments. And as the inevitable decision came around we were treated with dignity and empathy. A heartfelt thank you to you all.

Negative experience: My impression is that they are trying to get as much money as possible from you so it's not about your pet. My pet come with cough and I was told she is in pain because of her Teeth issues (she is not in pain as she plays eat normally etc) however I was told she need painkillers!! Nothing about cough only that she need blood test for them to be able to tell me more about cough! Also who is regulating all prices for treatments? Ex Ray for £400 or blood test for another £400

Fantastic experience: Have used white cross for over 8years now and never had cause to complain our westie ollie loves this place as soon as we get in the car park he is very eager to get out of the car to get in the waiting room area and meet everyone also our other dog archie the scottie got very sick and had to be put to sleep a lot of compassion and empathy was shown by everyone the card and seeds were very thoughtful

Fantastic experience: I unfortunately had to put my dog to sleep yesterday afternoon. As hard and heartbreaking as it was, the vet (Christina) who was dealing with the horrible situation was absolutely amazing! She dealt with the situation with compassion, empathy, and care. She gave us time with him after he passed and didn't rush us. He was scared but she was so calm with him. I couldn't thank the whole staff enough for everything. Christina explained everything that was going to happen. Answered any questions we had. He has left a massive hole in our hearts and he'll be massively missed and forever loved

Fantastic experience: Joined here when we got Sophia and always helpful and will see her if we ring with an issue. Good advice with questions about her and lovely service, staff always friendly and make us all feel welcome. We have their pet plan for general service, checks inclusive, and inoculations, and yearly checkup. Why is Sophia not in your pet pictures, I did say ok to take her picture. Be nice to see her in your portfolio.. as she is such a pretty girl. oh just recommended you on neighborhood, someone was asking for a good quality local vet.
Fantastic experience: My dog Peach was not eating properly and was rather lethargic I phoned to make an appointment and was given one that evening. The receptionist and vet were, as usual very friendly and helpful. The vet listened carefully to my concerns gave Peach a thorough check over but couldn't find anything to be worried about.
Fantastic experience: Great vets ( not that jerry would agree ) he was neutered. They looked after our boy well and he healed so well. Great team here. They also Fantastic when bought in a lost dog to them to check for a chip luckily dog was chipped and contacted the owner. Negative experience: I am usually satisfied with the service at this practice but on Tuesday 4/6/24 I was not!!!I have had dogs for over 30 years and never heard ONE of my dogs scream the way my boy did on this day. What was he having done ......his anal glands emptied!!!it hurt him so much. It made me cry with him. Perhaps a bit more gentle next time... .....if there is a next time.vI shouldn't think he would let anyone do that to him again

Fantastic experience: From myself calling white Cross vet to them seeing my pet was very quickly, not having to wait very long either in waiting room, my pet is feeling so much better in herself and just after 1 day treatment, I'm so happy to see my cat is almost back to herself again.
Positive experience: Only one receptionist and on the phone, took 10min to wait until she finished to talk on the phone. Should employ more people. Also to charge 50% when booking the appointment, this is too harsh, I mean life happens, doesn’t it?
Negative experience: Having taken my dog for his check up under the £17.50 per month ‘Pet Plan’ the vet gave me some medication which she said I may need, was free, but should I need more I would have to pay for. I thanked her and left. Two or three days later I received a very formal message from White Cross demanding £40 for the medication. As I had not used it I decided to return it and cancel the Pet Plan in favour of insurance. You may think that would be the end of it - and it should have been, however, I then received further texts saying it was ‘not the policy of the practice to accept return medication So now they want me to pay them £40 for medication I did not have, or ask for, and was told was free. Be aware all vetinary practices are owned by 3 companies and backed by a hedge fund. Hard to believe their primary interest is in the animals, and still waiting for an apology which I doubt I’ll get. March 2024 I never went back and cancelled the PetPlsn.
Fantastic experience: Taking good care of my cat. Expensive of course but that's pet ownership. Only marginally more than others in the area and mine have been registered here for years so we wouldn't go elsewhere without good reason.

Negative experience: I do not recommend this vet, it is the worst that can happen, they will take your money for nothing and all without examining the animal. I will never go there with my dog again.
Fantastic experience: We brought our cat to Whitecross on Friday. Sadly our cat had to be put to sleep but we cannot thank Rosie the vet and the team who showed much empathy and kindness to help us through this difficult process and have also been sent a card

Fantastic experience: Barney loves his visits to the vets, he gets lots of fuss and care is taken to ensure the vet/patient relationship is restored prior to leaving after the not so nice procedures which helps me keep it as a positive outing and easy to maintain his health checks. The other thing I really appreciate is the care taken to explain options and plans for the best outcome for pet and owner in the short and long term. Keep up the good work!
Fantastic experience: What fabulous vets, my cat who is an indoor cat an is super nervous. The vet was absolutely great with him, made him relax immediately. Even the reception area have a private area for cats where you can park their baskets away from the dogs. Vets was costly but so are all vets hence why you take out insurance!
Fantastic experience: I have been a pet parent here now for about 15yrs. I have all my current pets here and 2 that passed. I find the pet plan to be the best for both price and quality of services and products. The vets have always been so helpful and respectful. Don’t think I would go anywhere else.
Fantastic experience: Can't recommend this vets enough, I have had so many issues with my dogs health and they sort it everytime. My dog has anxiety with vets but Rosie is great with him. Wouldn't go anywhere else, 5 stars is not enough.

Negative experience: The communication is terrible, this practice really doesn't seem to know what they are doing, they agree something with you, then change it but can't explain why they have changed it, if it had been a one off event I may have dismissed it but it seems to happen regularly. Customer Service does not appear to be there strong point, very disappointing practice, avoid at all costs!

Negative experience: I never actually got to go there, was trying to get my cats "bits" removed, they asked for two forms of identification including photo ID, I explained my cat doesn't have two forms of photo ID and was amazed they meant me!! Excessive and Intrusive IMO and I ended up going elsewhere.......

Fantastic experience: Update below... White cross vet near Weston Favell have always been supportive of my pet care. Whether it is an emergency or general regular pet care. Since The staff change, I have found them to be friendly and polite, It is pricey like all vets.. That is the cost of having a pet but that is the rise of costs everywhere.. I would recommend white cross for your pet care... I do not think there is another vets near me that's better. Thank you all. Update...14.12.2022 Chase had an appointment at 2.30 at White cross Weston favell. From around 12.30 he began to Howl and meow constantly. At around 1pm I called the vets concerned. They could hear him in the background. Without hesitation they asked me to bring him in immediately. On my arrival with seconds the vet called us in. Once he was out of the carrier he stopped. She discovered 2 dried abscess and removed them, gave him his injection that he was booked for at half 2 and we were done. He meowed once back in the carrier but not at the same level of anguish. Now was this because he saw the carrier and didn't want to get in it knowing he will be going to the vet or was it the dried abscess.. If it wasn't for the quick thinking of the staff and their caring nature even though they were busy, I will be grateful for that. I can't rate them any higher.. they are one of the best.

Fantastic experience: I have been using white cross for a few years now and when my dog was diagnosed with Crohn’s they did all they could before referring him to a specialist. Now back being managed at white cross for my German shepherd, Harvey and elderly cat angel who also has a serious long term illness, I am at white cross regularly. I can honestly say it’s the staff that make that practice what it is. They are knowledgeable, reliable, understanding and most of all friendly. Two ladies usually help me with my pets as they are very aware of the conditions and treatments and these two ladies are amazing. Harvey loves going to see Rosie and Alessandra. I am also unwell and they have gone above and beyond to help Harvey, angel and I. All the other staff I have encountered have also all been wonderful and I am so happy to have their support Thank you all Louise, Harvey and Angel xx

The staff have lots of really helpful advice which was given readily for the benefit of my little girl. I am planning to leave the area fairly soon but I will stay with this vet and happily travel to stay with the best.

Fantastic experience: Took Lord Tin Tin for his 2nd vaccination today. Also had a slight worry about his health. As usual the staff were really helpful and put us at ease. Can't rate them highly enough. Best vets.
Positive experience: Seemed very popular with the local community. Very small and cafe like inside which is not what I expected and parking is a problem but we found a car park within a 10 minute walk. Service and food were good and the price was ok. I personally would not return, but I can see why it is popular with some.

Fantastic experience: Lovely staff, and the place is always very clean, in other words, it never smells of dog. Some vets I have been to in the past, have a very strong smell of animals. As I'm on the autism spectrum, bad smells can really aggravate my senses. Thanks gor treating my dog and cats with care and love.
Negative experience: It brakes my heart to have to write this review but I’m Absolutely disgusted with white cross my mum had her boys registered here and after an emergency visit to Abington vets at 12 am I was told to take him straight to white cross the next day the dog was in a very bad way we was driving to white cross called to let them know we was on route to be told no one would see him we was very stressed and worried they could hear him crying in pain and still absolutely refused to see him and told us to return to the emergency vet we called the emergency vet and was told again he had to go to white cross who was refusing to see him and thankfully vets for pets got him in there and then he was put to sleep and you failed him you left him in pain and never helped when he needed you and I don’t recommend any has to go though that absolutely disgusting and our other dog has been moved to vets for pets
Fantastic experience: Our dog has been to the vets many times, and is rather scared. Recently, he's been very poorly. Knowing how scared his is, they took their time with him, gave him lots of fuss and spent lots of time with him. They kept me updated with every aspect of his care, our options and cost. They took extremely good care of him when he was very poorly.

Fantastic experience: Took Toby ( my Jack Russell) to have his nails clipped and annul glands emptying (Nice!).... not a visit to see a Vet but one of the lovely Vets Nurses.... Toby returned to me, nails clipped and glands emptied snuggling up to his Nurse covering her with dog hairs. Wonderful little Surgery... so pleased I took out the Wellness Programme. 5 stars all round My little man (Toby the Jack Russell) now 9 years old had to visit Christina (the lovely Vet). Over the Christmas period I had found a lump on Toby’s side. Of course my worrying went in to overdrive. Christina was lovely, she explained all the options and put my mind at rest. I am still waiting on the Lab results of the sample that Christina sent to them. I will of course put Toby in their very capable hands if it proves necessary.
Fantastic experience: I have always been impressed with fantastic service. The staff are wonderful, caring and make you feel like your pet is part of their family. Bruno loves going to the vets and gets very excited as he knows he going to be spoilt.
Positive experience: I always had a good experience when going to White Cross, but then it changed. The actual contact between my dogs and the vet was good, however, payments were sometimes wrong and I would often have to correct them in regard to getting medication and it all became stressful.
Fantastic experience: The staff are always so lovely and friendly. Every time I arrive at the surgery or call in, I’m greeted with a smile. My cat gets very anxious, and the vets are always conscious of this and do their best to accommodate him whilst treating him. This is my first Sphynx and I’ve definitely been overly cautious with various things in the past, and the vets have never made me feel silly for calling in to query something and have always been incredibly helpful and reassuring.
Fantastic experience: I have always found the staff at Whitecross Veterinary Practice to be polite, respectful, caring and compassionate. I know my pet is in safe hands. The vets & veterinary nurses really listen to any concerns you have and offer good advice without being patronising unlike some practices I’ve visited in the past. Visiting a vet can be very costly and I have always found the staff to be mindful of this. I have an elderly dog and cannot get affordable pet insurance. The staff are aware of this and will always look for the most affordable treatment without compromise, which is very refreshing.
Fantastic experience: Our dog Archie is not a lover of a vets practice. When ever we take him, he's relaxed as they are so loving and very kind in a professional manner. They is a lovely inviting ethos to which they answer all questions quickly. Negative experience: I don't like to give bad reviews but I have to say something. A female member of the staff convinced a 77 years old vulnerable elderly lady that their Wellness pet plan "pays for everything" including X-rays, prescriptions, all kind of treatments which is not true and we cannot convince her that is not the case! Basically, she doesn't know what she is paying for. It is an aggressive marketing technique.
Negative experience: Limited appointments, mean none are available, been trying to get an appointment for my elderly poorly cat for about 3weeks. Shortage of vets nationwide due to pandemic, I understand that. From the perspective of failing to get treatment, open to prosecution?
Negative experience: Absolutely awful. I cannot get an appointment for them to see my dogs for at least 6 weeks and they will not even offer any daily appointment that they might have when I ring up in the morning (& I have tried everyday for 2 weeks) as they are considered non urgent cases. Even though one has a lump on her back and the other has Vestibular syndrome.
Fantastic experience: Great service, offer plenty of info and options. Very happy. Have had 2 cats registered since 2013 and now added our new kitten. I don't do the pet plan but it's not compulsory and they seem to enjoy talking about your pet and giving advice about the best care. Would highly recommend. Just to add, 'new kitten ' Menace, got an abcess, service from white cross vets was one again amazing. Friendly team, great atmosphere, really helpful. I sent email and photos, then they let me take a cancelled appointment. Really pleased with the way Rosie treated him, kind efficient and reassuring. Thank you.

Negative experience: After waiting on the phone in a queue we finally got through to report out cat missing. In tears and very upset as he is a house can and never been outdoors the receptionist laughed (almost like what do you expect) and said we are very busy can you call back later. This is basically our child and to be dismissed like that as not important was disgusting and simply unacceptable.

Fantastic experience: Had a bad experience when I took my dog there to be put to sleep instead of injecting the dog all of the doze I ended having the needle sticking out my leg I ended up with an infection due to this was very disappointed that they didn’t have the time to call to see if I was ok I’d just put my dog to rest but since then as there local I choose to give them another go I now have two dogs with them in the pet plan which is amazing and the staff well they go out there way I have such a bog puppy 47kilo already at 10 months she just wants kisses and cuddles and can’t wait to go in the door there patient caring and gone that extra mile through the first lockdown and really grateful for everything they do would recommend to anyone thanks again
Fantastic experience: Fantastic Vets. The Best I have ever delt with. Northampton's Finest. Extremely kind, Understanding. Has the best interests of your pet at heart at all times. No pressure. Will work with you to find a solution. Fantastic value for money. And Much Much cheaper than any other in Northampton.. With Easy parking right outside.. No brainer!! Why go anywhere else.
Fantastic experience: My elderly cat had been having problems and I was concerned that something was seriously wrong. The vet did a blood test which came back ok. He was still worried as she has been losing weight. You could see that he really cared and he was very positive that he could sort it. She has been put on a special diet and already she is perky and has put on weight. White Cross are always friendly and show genuine concern for your pet. I would certainly recommend them.
Fantastic experience: Fantastic vets wouldnt take my dogs anywhere else. Really come across as caring about your pets and go out of their way to make times etc work for you. Highly recommend them.
Negative experience: They sent me four texts kept reminding me of appointment then they ask for a review the link just takes you to there web site The vet only had to give dog there jabs dog hates vets and jabs so I put it on file best have muzzle she had To go find a muzzle she did not appear to know how to put muzzle on nor did I as my dog never wears one normally but the last year he hates vets . So I put muzzle on and had to hold dog back the vet was so scared and kept stepping back causing the dog to get stressed instead of getting on with the job maybe she needs a new career. A few years ago my dog had a crucial ligement problem £350 for x-rays done with old x-ray machine using plates. X-ray's did not show a problem was referred to another vet who wanted to charge me for more x-rays as they wanted digital pictures as they show more. I eventually went to a specialist vet surgeon and he diagnosed the issue by touch and said we will do x-rays immediately before the op and chop the knee put inplate and redo x-rays . We only need to use anaesthetic once. I brought this up with the manager for a part refund on the x-rays she was rude and arrogant . I only use the vet for his jabs as I paid a one off fee for jabs for life . If indeed other vet services I go elsewhere. Should have posted this at the time but as the sent me a link for reviews I thought it was time to speak out . Can't wait for a reply
Fantastic experience: I really love this vets and am sad to be moving areas so I am longer able to use them. They are always so friendly and professional and I hope you get a practice in Leicester soon. Thank you for caring for my fluffy baby :)
