Yesterday was the worst day both me and my partner could have experienced, however, the whole team including the out of hours team at Moulton were amazing. Fantastic experience: We were referred to Abington because Billy had ongoing lameness which even after rest didn’t get better. Jamie was our vet and honestly was fantastic, he understood that whatever we needed to get him better we would do. So he gave us a very clear plan of action. Billy had a CT scan (yes eye watering money) which shown that he was suffering from a supraspinatus injury which are notoriously difficult to get better and stay better. We also found that Billy was also experiencing some issues with arthritis. After PRP injections, some meds and some serious rest he has got better. We now have a a plan of ongoing meds and although he cannot chase, he is out of pain, no lameness and is a very happy and well boy. If your dog has musculoskeletal issues I would absolutely recommend Abington and Jamie in particular. Unfortunately if you don’t have insurance (like us) it is expensive - but it will be wherever you go! Just know you should get to the bottom of it and have a recovery plan in place visiting here. Rather than other vets (different issue) where you are sent round and round spending money without getting any further forwards.

Fantastic experience: Jamie the vet who performed dual operations including perineal hernia repair and castration on my Cavapoo Buddy was brilliant. He gave me a clear and comprehensive explanation of what the procedure entailed and aftercare instructions. I am pleased to say that Buddy has made a full recovery after wearing a cone and being confined to the house for almost 2 weeks and I am so grateful for the service he received. A very big thank you to you all at Abington Referrals.

Negative experience: MERCENARIES, they just care about get as much money as they can from you, I have lost 6 english bulldogs puppies with pneumonia. We have spoken with them when the first puppy developed some mucus, we had 3 phone consultations and 1 visit to the vet and they said that the puppies where ok without even take a Xray to check their lungs, they didn't listen to us when we where explaining that they were unwell, the day after the visit, first puppy died, within two days we lost all the others... If you are looking for a butcher, this is the place you need.

Fantastic experience: We took our family dog Tyson to moulton veterinary clinic when we found out he was in a lot of pain and gave us some pain medication but you knew deep down we was just a matter of time before we had to make a decision which we did we would like to thank Toby and Emily for there compassion and kindness at a very sad time thank you all from Tyson’s family.

Fantastic experience: Pixie went to Abington on referral for two complex patella surgeries, she received 5 star care whilst she was there. Jeremy was very informative about the process of her surgeries and the aftercare, no stone was left unturned. Fast forward a few months and her quality of life has vastly improved. We couldn’t be happier! Thank you so much

Negative experience: We received 2 emails and 2 text messages to book for a 6 month check up for our dog. The emails / texts clearly stated the cost would be £24.99 but we were charged £70 for a 10 mins check up just to tell us the dog may be underweight! Appointment was on Friday evening and we were told that we would receive a follow up call back on Monday but no one called. After over 5 years being on your books, we won’t be using Abington Vets anymore and lodging a formal complaint for misleading information on your charges.

Fantastic experience: My cat needs monthly injections to maintain his pain-free mobility. Often animals become stressed when visiting vets. Not so Tibbie when attending Abington Park vets @ Moulton. He purrs so loudly it is almost impossible to hear his heart. The whole experience for us is welcoming, prompt and caring efficiency. See you next month.

Fantastic experience: We have always had excellent help, advice and care from the receptionists, nurses and vets @ Abington Park Vets. They have cared for our dogs, rabbits and one of our gerbils. We usually use the Moulton surgery where parking is easier. Dr Hay was so good with our 2 rabbits yesterday.

Positive experience: I always ask for Toby as he is excellent with my crazy boxer, the girls on the reception are very helpful. Bit pricey tho (like all vets these days) hence the 3 stars.

Fantastic experience: We had seen the vet Toby and what a lovely man. Took his time was thorough with his examination of our dog Nell and then explained clearly what the plan would be. He did state plans can change once some investigations are done, his words which described it brilliant was "layers"you do one then if nothing is forthcoming another and so on. was told a call would be made after investigations and this was followed through. Very happy . Thanks to Toby.

Positive experience: Very poor response when ordering repeat prescriptions through the Pet Plan scheme. Always have to chase them up after a week or so. It's getting tedious now.

Fantastic experience: I have used Abington Park Veterinary practice for at least 12 years and would not consider going anywhere else. I have always found all their staff helpful and kind to both me and my cats, and received excellent medical attention when necessary.

Negative experience: Both my cats get a 4 weekly Solensia injection for arthritis. They have had them for over 2 years. The price for the injection by a nurse went up by about £2.00 to £74 a few months ago, which is fine. Today I was charged £94.39 for the Solensia itself PLUS an Injection Fee of £19.50, so a total of £113.89. I was given no notice of the over 50% rise in cost and no explanation. I have been with them for over 14 years and there is NO reward for loyalty. Today I took one of my cats for his 4 weekly Solensia injection, his annual check up and some other things. I had been sent an email reminder. When I arrived they said there was no such appointment in the diary, only on my account. Who messed it up? I was told the vet I was meant to see "could not fit me in" but I could see someone else. The "someone else" is yet another vet that does not appear on their website. How can I have faith in a vet they do not list? Both my cats have had Solensia injections every 4 weeks, Alfie for about 18 months and Eve for 22 months. After her January injection she started falling over. There is no information about this on the leaflet I have and I was not told about possible side effects. I have investigated and this drug is causing horrendous side effects, in some cases leading to deaths. (The medicine for dogs is having the same effect.) There is a class action in the USA to have both medicines withdrawn. They are now on YuMOVE, a herbal treatment for arthritis. Eve is no longer falling over.

Fantastic experience: We have had cause to visit Abington Park Referrals on a number of occasions with our lab, Bruce, in the 5 years that we’ve had him and he has always received class treatment from Jamie and the team. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Fantastic experience: We have used them several times for our dogs. In the first show, Hugo was quickly diagnosed with a crucial ligament and had surgery here. The second older female dog was also diagnosed with artretyzm within one day. Thank you to everyone, especially Dr. Jeremy Onyett. This is the 3rd dog he has looked after and diagnosed for us. It is not worth wasting money on visits to a not specialist vet; it is worth coming to an orthopaedic specialist to get quick and effective advice. Thank you. Craig and Wioletta

Fantastic experience: Theo the vet has a keen interest in birds and was brilliant with my conure. It’s very rare to find a vet who knows what to do with birds. I highly recommend him.

Fantastic experience: Last week I had to say goodbye to my beautiful 14 year old Labrador, as you can imagine it broke my heart.... The vet handled the situation with sensitivity and compassion.... Although very sad it was a beautiful and dignified ending, for which I thank them.

Negative experience: This place is a disgrace. They have messed up most of my insurance claims for nearly a year. It has taken months to get the information and a response from them and now they've had a new system the practice manager is currently unavailable to deal with my complaint. The new system has apparently increased our monthly meds by £30 and they are not able to provide you with a receipt anymore. They only have one decent vet left at the practice, I will be taking my business elsewhere

Negative experience: £250 charge for an ultra sound including care with signed payment up front (even though I had been with them 13 + years and spent/paid £2500 in the previous 12 months) and told to come back 3 hours later. As I was pulling away a tap on the window ! Procedure took 5 minutes ! I queried the charge and was spoken to like an idiot and told I had signed the paperwork . I cancelled all dealings with them including the 5x dogs Pet Health Club I paid each month. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER Other veterinary practices charge half as much for an ultrasound. The prices are extortionate and after 13+ years being a customer will NEVER go back or recommend.

Fantastic experience: The Team are currently supporting our dog with an IBS problem. All the Team members we have met, and those 'behind the scenes ' have given our boy the best care and treatment. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Abington vets are the most caring and supportive for both my cat and me. I can’t recommend them enough.

Negative experience: It has taken a nose dive as a vets since it was sold to some giant Corporation. They are more concerned about making money. Their fees and the mark up on products are outrageous. You have no choice and they know that. It’s called taking advantage.

Negative experience: Absolutely awful. Bought the Pet Health Club insurance for our first daschund and it seemed ok, when I asked about having a second dog on it were were told we get ten percent off, so I went ahead and when we got our second dashchund we added her on to be told we were misinformed and there was nothing they could do. I felt I was mis sold this insurance.. 9 months later our pup had her first season and we utilised our 'Healthy pet check with a nurse' we weren't told there wasn't a nurse available when we booked, so we got a vet unbenowned to us we were being charged. a few weeks later when we went to get the wormer and flea treatment.(which I must add is never available when they say it is) £69 later we were left rather disappointed and when I complained I was told they would look into it. I would assume they are still looking into the issue as I haven't heard anything.

Fantastic experience: Really great vet practise, they’re great with my anxious dog and always so thorough. They also have an emergency line available out of hours which I think is great.

My dog had some complicated surgeries and they were fantastic throughout; from the surgeon explaining every detail and answering every question, to the receptionist and finance teams dealing with the insurance claims. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them

Negative experience: Don't take your pet to Moulton Veterinary.. Not only do they ignore information requests from your insurance company for weeks, They wait weeks before they give you results of a serious ear infection, causing severe suffering for my dog! Will not be using any more.

Positive experience: The specialist who we saw was really professional, really helpful, also the nurse who was talking to us. The reception team charged us for filing our claim and ensured us we wouldn't have to do anything but in the end I had to file the claim

Fantastic experience: I had not used this practice for a number of years, but returned to it last week when sadly my dog Tilly needed putting to sleep. I have nothing but the highest praise for the compassionate and professional way in which both the vet and all her staff dealt with the situation. Based upon my experience I would definitely recommend them.

Negative experience: Being a big concern they obviously have the best vets, but I do feel you are lured into spending more obscene amounts of money when not really needed..It's a shame that veterinary care now is seen as ' day light robbery '..

Positive experience: They used to be the best place in town but they’re very much money orientated now. Just as most seem to be doing, they use the extortionate Vets Now for their out of hours service. To make it even worse, the Abington branch is only open 9am to 6pm weekdays, outside of that it’s an emergency.

Positive experience: What can we say we were referred here by our own vets for our labrador male 6 years old at the time with arthritis and elbow displacer. You pay at the door no issue not cheap what is then told what is going to happen you put pet in there hands first leg went well second leg didn't he kept having infection they the plate taken out to allow healing .then back in for two plates. Fifteen days later still issues back we go pay more tobe told plate is broken and they can do no more when looks sad they put him to sleep OMG many thousands of pounds that it's we now take him to Fitzpatrick Referrals he is now fixed why couldn't they do this both cheap plates gone bespoke plate fitted we will never go back to abbington vets they need better training 13 k spent withthem

Fantastic experience: I was referred here as my cat was seriously unwell and required specialist treatment. My cat had to stay with them twice for 4/5 days, and during this time the care was phenomenal. Fabrizio kept me updated every step of the way, and the staff nurses have been wonderful (special mention to Ashlie). Receptionists are always friendly and polite. I feel like my cat had the best care possible and is now doing incredibly well. Thank you so much!

In addition, I would like to share 5 key point with everyone looking for a vet, which are an indicator of a excellent vet place for me: 1) Most appreciated that Vet’s aproach made feel pleasantly warm because it showed that they are there for the animal as much as the owner. I liked that it was all about the pet for the pet. 2) Main point for me was to see the level of professionalism and the vet I saw (Aleksandra) was very detailed about the examination complete. P.S. finding the place was a bit tricky, until I was told to look for gate 3 in Moulton Park which was helpful as navigation took me to that area but not the building.

They were so understanding, super nice and reassuring to someone who was clearly panicking. All the staff were professional and warm. Negative experience: Abington vets cares more about money than animal welfare. I attended my appointment, (I made one mistake) I picked up the wrong handbag and didn't have my purse, I realised my mistake as soon as I arrived. I immediately apologised and offered to drive home to get my purse ( I was 15 mins early and had plenty if time) I was told by staff I didnt need to and could pay later on. I questioned this to check, she joked we know where you live! The I was kept waiting 30 mins ( 15 mins after my app so could have gone home and back twice!) The examination began only to be abruptly interrupted and told they would not treat my pets until I'd paid. I explained the misunderstanding, that I had offered to ho home prior to my appointment and told not to by their staff, they still insisted and so I had to leave with out treatment. I wrote a letter of complaint to which they quoted a new policy of upfront Payment not recognising any blame. I was treated like a criminal, felt so embarrassed and upset by the situation, I have never not paid a bill! Do not use this vets if you want your pets wellbeing to be a priority!

Fantastic experience: I cannot put into words how amazing the team are at this practice. They quite literally saved my boys life when he developed auto immune disease. Everyone from the receptionists, to the vet nurses, to the vets have gone above and beyond for our Widget. Big shout out to Fabrizio, Chelsea and Jade who honestly have no idea how they have touched our hearts. I recommend this practice to everyone I know and would trust no one else with his treatment now. Thank you ❤️

Fantastic experience: Excellent, caring vets. Theo was wonderful through an incredibly difficult time at the end of our previous dog's life. We now have another dog that travels with us back and forth to and from America. Theo was amazing at helping us to navigate all the paperwork until we got used to it. Highly recommended.

Me being me expected the worse but Theo was clearly very experienced and diagnosed him very quick and assigned the relevant medication to help Blu recover. Fantastic experience: I would like to express heartfelt thanks to the vet Theo and all the staff at the clinic who looked after me and Honey in this very sad time. I am utterly heartbroken to have lost her (she was the bestest girl) but I appreciate that her comfort and well being was everyone’s foremost priority. Theo took care to explain every step of the process and to be as gentle and considerate as possible. Nothing can make suddenly loosing a loved one easier but I’m so grateful that he and the team did everything possible to be careful and supportive. Thank you very much for everything.

Negative experience: Is nobody talking about how expensive this vets have become ? And pre payment before a visit and the high volume of turn over of vets , my dog has a continuous issue and I haven’t seen the same vet twice. I have been a customer at this practise for nearly 20 years and I’m sad to say since the company has changed so has the attitudes. I find some of the reception staff rude, and I’m constantly sold expensive drugs without any explanation what the issues are or if they are benefiting my dog. Iv been recommended to another vet practise which I’m considering. This is no longer a 4 or 5 star practise id say the care of the animal has declined massively and it’s now all about profit !

Negative experience: Yesterday evening i rushed my beloved 24 year old cat to this practice by taxi at 5.50pm ,on the way she took a turn for the worse so i entered the building in a panic ,barely bring able to think straight with a special needs child in tow i was trying to hold it together ,I kept saying ,please can you get her some help now as she was Gasping (we had an appointment booked for 6.10pm) ..they kept asking me to spell her name ,couldn't find us in the system (Abington branch has referred us over ,and said they had talked to Moulton and organised it )all the time by beloved girl is struggling. The vet saw our girl and although efficient and informative ,I felt there was not a single ounce of compassion. My special needs daughter waited in the baron stark waiting room while our beautiful girl crossed over to rainbow bridge ,noone comforted her or spoke to her and she I returned to the waiting room ,we held each other sobbing ...obviously distraught ...we went to reception and was met with the most coldest ,uncompassionate faces ,noone said a thing even though it was visible we were distraught,just a card machine was pushed towards,the only thing said to us was the amount. I paid ,we took our girl and left. I cannot express the huge difference between Abington park branch and Moulton ,when I spoke to Abington earlier in the day the lady was absolutely wonderful,so kind and caring ,a stark contrast.when we lost our dog 9 years ago Abington park were amazing. If your beloved one is nearing the end ,AVOID at all costs Moulton .I know vets see this every day ,but kindness,caring and compassion goes a long long way. dreadful experience ,we are truly traumatised

Fantastic experience: My cocker spaniel Sam was referred with an eye/nose problem. He turned out to have a deep corneal ulcer. The vet Ana was lovely, professional and caring and went above and beyond in her care of both Sam and me. We were referred on to Focus vets at Banbury where Sam had a corneal graft. He is still being treated, but the eye has been saved thanks to Ana's prompt actions. I would not hesitate to recommend them all, from the receptionists to the vet.

Fantastic experience: I was seen immediately on arrival with my pet. The vet gave my dog a thorough examination and explained her treatment well.

Negative experience: My dog has been supported for more than a year and overall had good services. The last time we went on a Saturday and the experience has been awfully unpleasant. The vet doctor , first time I saw him there, was rude and unpolite. I'm thinking to move out my dog to another shop.

Fantastic experience: So impressed with the service. The building is spotlessly clean and the facilities are top class. The reception staff are always so lovely, friendly, helpful and welcoming. The vets that we have seen have been amazing, so thorough with the health checks, explained everything so well, so good with all my dogs keeping them all at ease. And the nurse are also so friendly and helpful. Fantastic vets would defiantly recommend, top class service. Also would 100% recommend the pet health amazing idea, when you go in for a booster and flea and worm treatment with no massive bill to pay!! Cant get better than that. Very happy.
