Fantastic experience: Nurse Lauren is absolutely amazing – always so helpful, friendly, and happy. She never hesitates to answer my many questions about my puppy, Pickles, and is so reassuring every time we visit. She has a wonderful way of putting Pickles completely at ease, which makes such a difference. That’s why I always ask to see Lauren every month when we come in for Pickles’ flea tablets. I honestly couldn’t ask for better care or support. Highly recommend! ✨

Fantastic experience: The circumstances surrounding this visit were not pleasant, as we were getting urgent medical assistance for one of my daughter's cats. Obviously very expensive, but this is no NHS service, so fully expected. The people there are so pleasant and helpful, which does help when one is feeling so helpless and depressed. It is bright and clean inside, and service was relatively quick and thorough. We have subsequently heard that the surgery was completed, and, although not out of the woods yet, we hopefully await further news.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Vets4Pets St James. I bring my puppy, Remy, for monthly visits with Nurse Lauren and she is consistently kind, professional and extremely knowledgeable. She is patient and thorough, takes the time to explain everything clearly, and never makes you feel rushed. It’s clear she genuinely cares about the animals she looks after and she always offers helpful advice, which I really appreciate as a puppy owner. The team provides a high standard of care overall, and the reception staff are always polite and helpful, making each visit straightforward and pleasant.

Fantastic experience: I can't praise the staff enough. Tom was marvellous with my dog Misty he was so gentle and explained everything . The reception ladies were extremely kind and understanding when I had to make the hardest decision to let my boy go. Thank you all so much you made a harrowing time bearable.

Fantastic experience: My puppy is registered with this Branch and has been poorly over the last week, meaning we have visited a lot. All of the team we have dealt with have been lovely. In particular a blonde receptionist (Sophie?) who is new to the team as she only started 5 weeks ago - she is brilliant! Really kind, helpful and cares. Please pass on our thanks to her and the rest of the team.

Fantastic experience: Vets for pets Northampton took fantastic care of our dog after she was admitted as an emergency patient. We were given a thorough breakdown of the care she required, costs and had all of the necessary paperwork explained. We had regular updates and reassurance during her stay and really felt she was being well cared for. Overall a horrible experience made better by staff who were friendly and knowledgeable. Would recommend to anyone!

Fantastic experience: As much as a rating goes on a vet this vets was really helpful and my dog is reactive especially in an emergency situation they were so good to her and brilliant customer service the nurse that was examining my dog looked out the door for me and told me if there were other dogs out there and told me that she will get everything ready. I was out in only a couple minutes after paying for medication! Before this time my dog had to stay in overnight due to toxins in her blood and even though she is reactive they even told me that they brought her out and even had a cuddle with her, which by no means did I expect they would cuddle my dog especially because she doesn't like people and when she's ill/hurt she doesn't like people and they cuddled her I would highly recommend they are lovely people! 5 stars for these lovely people if I lived locally I would of moved her to here being her main vet!

Fantastic experience: Wonderful vets. I moved vets ( twice) to be with Jenny and team and travel from Rugby as I have so much confidence in this vets Luna and Baba my 2 cockers have both had their lip folds operated on ( curse of the cocker spaniel i am afraid!) and they both had lots of love and snuggles. They both recovered exceptionally quickly with no problems. Many thanks to Jenny and team - i am very grateful for all the care and attention they get! I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Fantastic experience: I recently registered all 3 of my dogs with Vets4Pets and I cannot express how impressed I have been with the care, attention by, and expertise of, all the staff. One dog had a couple of teeth removed and I was sent a photo of her sitting up after the operation together with a report on how she was doing. I LOVE that WhatsApp is used for contact, and responses are so quick. Nurses have messaged several times to check on my dog's progress and offer support if required. In the 30+ years I was with a different practice, II never once received such a high level of care. I must also mention that the cost of my dog's dental work was about HALF that quoted by my previous vet practice! Finally, the premises/facilties are excellent, with parking conveniently situated at the front of the building (St.James' Northampton). I know my dogs, and me, are now in the best possible hands!

Fantastic experience: My dog Dylan and I were treated kindly and with respect. He went from almost dying to now being very much alive with his mojo fully restored. The skill of the vets and kindness of the reception and nursing teams saved bim from dying at 7.5 yrs old. He’s home where he belongs with his sister. Hes got his mojo back. So Thank you all.

Fantastic experience: The experi2nce of having to put my dog to sleep a few weeks back was the hardest thing to do. The team were really nice and kind and helped with the situation. The only thing I would say that not just here but why does the cost of putting you animal to sleep cost so much we paid £370.00 thats for the cremation and the drug etc

Fantastic experience: Thank you vets for pets for making the hardest decision a little bit easier on the 7th of December when I had to put my baby boy spike to sleep. A beautiful little private room was set up for him with a bed that he settled on almost straight away. Becky you were amazing and to the other staff member at reception for sitting with him when I left as I didnt want him to be in his own. Thank you everyone you have all been amazing and I’m glad he’s home now x

Fantastic experience: I have to say this vets is the best ( both my furbabies are registered here fifi & fudge) My girl fifi had an anal gland abscess ruptured & burst. The vet i saw was Rebecca & her assistant, they delt with fifi so well & even checked on her heart murmur, being autistic with crippling social anxiety they really understood me too. The only downside was the vet scent from fifi being there i had to separate my girls in separate rooms for 4 days. Its back to normal now. Having a what's app i could send them photos of fifis anal gland.. and they said fifi was healing well & to use up the last of her antibiotics & keep her in inflatable cone for two week & use pet antiseptic spray for her wound & send a photo in a week.. this whatapp Service really helps for someone like myself finding it hard to go out.. also that i couldn't go though separating my cats again ( as i had 4 days with no sleep ). But the caring compassionate staff , was well handled by my said situation & the cats. My cats fifi & fudge are always in the best hands.. thanks once again vets4pets Have a wee photo of ma fifi in great recovery

Fantastic experience: I recently used the free weight management service to aid my dog losing some weight as he had become obese. This was a comprehensive service and so much help was provided. I felt incredibly well supported and cannot fault the lovely nurse we saw each time. My dog has lost alot of weight and is now much healthier.

Fantastic experience: Our boy Dylan was suddenly taken very poorly , having been let down by our own vets , This wonderful surgery said they would do the operation . He was very poorly he had an internal bleed and needed an urgent operation to remove his spleen . We drove the 40 mins in quite a state with him and from the minute we arrived all the staff were wonderful , kind , friendly, caring and very in tune with how distressed we were Eve the wonderful vet who did the operation spent time with us to explain everything and really gave us some comfort . After leaving him and driving what seemed hours home we then waited for the call from Eve which we received at midnight to say that the surgery was over and Dylan was doing well . He stayed until the Sunday evening when we were able to bring him home . We are forever grateful to all the nurses but a special mention to Rachel for frequent photos and comforting updates We have an anxious wait now for the results of the mass that was removed , but as I write this looking at our Dylanbear snuggled up back at home I think back to Friday when we thought we were going to lose him and are so thankful. We will be returning in a few days for his post op check . Truly a wonderful practice with amazing staff Sarah, Matt , Brad and Dylan Haynes

Fantastic experience: Jenny is our all time fav vet, someone like her is really hard to find as we have tried various vets throughout the years. She is honest, caring and gives the right advices. Always offers us the best service possible and is willing to help. Honest to heart I never want to lose her. Our precious pug is a senior with mass cell cancer and needs special handling. Jenny knows exactly what to do and how to do it. She has also efficiently operated him by removing teeth on this fragile age and all went smooth. The whole clinic is amazing, clean organised, modern, and the staff is helpful however she is the main reason we always visit. Good job for employing such good people :) Thank you.

Negative experience: Poor customer service, when we booked our Booster Vaccination for our dog it wasn't made clear to us that this appointment was part of our Vax4Life (once a year) general health check ups. This is clearly a totally different appointment to the booster vaccination appointment but we were told differently. Rachel Deacon, extremely rude when I was explaining the experience, she didnt seem too bothered and as the customer I felt as though my feedback wasn't listened to. Steer clear of Vets4Pets (Rachel Deacon), however that being said the rest of the Staff in the Hospital are fantastic and very friendly.

Fantastic experience: The care provided by Vets for Pets Northampton Hospital is excellent. Both of my dogs are registered with the hospital and have always been very well looked after by Jenny and her team. Nothing is too much trouble - one of my dogs has experienced a couple of complicated and prolonged health issues but under their care he has made a full recovery. Highly experienced, caring and knowledgeable staff who really do put our pets first.

Fantastic experience: We travel an hour every 4 weeks to have our boys injection administered. They saved his life a few years ago after our local vet failed him. William. I just wanted to write to say a massive thank you to the ladies that helped me on Tuesday night after our elderly dog became unwell. Dora. Your kindness, calm and amazing knowledge advising what was wrong with our little girl and saved us a journey after hours too. Thank you so much for your time and call. Fantastic experience: A friend, and my brother, both take their dogs to Vet4Pets for care. I adopted Sunny, a greyhound in May’25, so took their recommendations on board and registered Sunny with Vet4Pets. We have made a number of visits for various things, including vaccination, Flea and worming meds. I can say that my husband and I are truly so happy with the staff, their * genuine interest in your pet *caring attitudes -towards animals and their owners * full explanations regarding treatments, investigations etc * pre-procedure phone calls * pre-operative and post operative follow up care The waiting area is large and clean. There are ample treatment rooms. Parking is no problem, with spaces immediately in front of the building. I would highly recommend Vets4Pets and Sunny always has a comfortable demeanour when he needs to be there.

Fantastic experience: Alfie was castrated and the op went very well. However a bit later he became ill with gastroenteritis and had to stay in the hospital. Couldn't fault the dedication and friendliness of all the staff who we dealt with. Once he was home they kept in contact to see how he was doing. Thanks to everyone for looking after him so well. Fantastic experience: We have been with Vets 4 Pets for years now and we have never been happier with a vetinary practice (now a fantastic vetinary hospital with amazing facilities and brilliant staff). From the moment you pick up the phone to call, to coming into the building, to the great personal service that you receive to to the care at the end of a beloved pet's journey, you are treated with respect and incredible kindness and empathy. Fantastic experience: They are very good vets they put the pets first. Hard to find vets like this. I would highly recommend them. Having a vets what does 24hrs Service is great. And better for the welfare of my pets. When I need them what ever time of day they are at the end of a phone to help. The vets and nurses are excellent with my dogs. And the waiting room is such a good size that my pets do not get stressed because they’re not cramped in like someplaces.

Fantastic experience: Just leaving a review to say how lovely the lady at the front desk was when we bought in a wild bird that seemed unwell this evening. We filled out a form whilst she checked over the little bird, thankfully seemed ok and let us know which I really appreciated. Thank you for your kindness and hope the little dove will be ok! :)

Fantastic experience: found a sick pigeon with eye infection and hurt wing, also couldn't fly, every other place didnt pick up or rejected us, luckily vets4pets told us to come in, unfortunately the pigeon had very little muscle mass and had to be put down but the staff were lovely and he passed peacefully instead of scared and sick on the streets, amazing staff was very kind to me and my friend.

Positive experience: So expensive £135 for a walk in then £65 for dog paracetamol and antihistemine

However we found the new vets weren’t nearly as caring and attentive as here. We swiftly moved our cats back here. We much prefer a 25 minute drive with the reassurance our babies will be lovingly cared for

Negative experience: Worst hospital ever! They neglected my cat! They traumatized him. I was in distress for a whole month trying to solve my cat s constipation. Unexperienced vets and Rachel the manager of the hospital she s washing her hands when it comes to specialists! Worst stuff I ever met!

Fantastic experience: I cannot thank the staff of this practice enough for their care and compassion when we recently had to let our 14 year old cockapoo Woody cross the bridge. They looked after Woody for almost 15yrs and were so caring and thoughtful when we had to finally let him go. I would not hesitate to recommend this vets.

Negative experience: MIXING UP MICROCHIP NUMBERS!!! This vets has mixed up the microchip numbers on my litter of puppies not once but twice now!! Another time they registered them in the wrong names!! Don't they realise how much headache and hassle this would cause the breeder and to the new owner!! Absolutely terrible not to pay attention to the microchip numbers and to stick the wrong microchip numbers onto the wrong microchip cards. Having to spend a long time sorting this out with Petlog and with the new owner. Terrible service,, email sent to the manager, still no reply,, no surprise there!!!

Fantastic experience: Long story short, I could honestly write for days how wonderful they have been but nobody reads giant reviews. Incredibly compassionate and thorough. Having recently moved to the northampton area we were reluctant to change vets. We attended vets4pets for a couple emergencies and they were so incredibly kind, patient and thorough we actually committed to making them our dogs registered vets! The change is super simple, they provide you an email to give to your current registered vets so their information can be sent over and thats it! Our dog is getting a bit older now and they have always been wonderful with him. They let you know whats going on and their thoughts on it in a compassionate way that also gets the message across. Previously I have left the vets feeling like a rubbish dog parent and a little bit lost on what to do next, but not once have I felt this way with vets4pets. Our dog spent the day with them whilst waiting for an ultrasound. We were incredibly nervous but they sent us regular text updates about how he was, including pictures. We couldnt be more impressed.

Fantastic experience: This place is used by the PetBlood bank for their donation days. It's large, and the staff seem very friendly. Can't comment on the vets part of it - but, if they allow the petbloodbank to operate from there, they can't be so bad.

Fantastic experience: Two weeks today I bought my beautiful dog in (billy) Who was very poorly I had to make the hard decision of letting him go, but I knew it was the right thing to do. Jenny, the vet was absolutely amazing. She was so kind and explained to me every step what was going to happen. I cannot praise her enough. She was lovely to me and my dog. Fantastic experience: So last week our cat suddenly passed away at home we contacted vets 4 pets in the morning and we took our cat down there and they confirmed that she had passed so we he her cremated and we got the call this week to collect her. All I can is the service and professionalism from the team was outstanding they looked after you during the tough time and I would like to thank the team for the card it means alot.

Fantastic experience: The vet was as always first class. But when our cat escaped from the box I was carrying the whole team were totally committed to his safe return and we cannot thank them enough. Fantastic experience: This is a pet Hospital. I don't personally use this place but I do take my sister and her amazing pooch here, a very poorly sick pooch I'm afraid. Her vet is one of the partners here, a fabulous, empathetic lady called Jenny. She is warm and welcoming and loves animals, I know, how rare is that? A vet that loves animals and doesn't look at the bottom line and treats us hoomans as well She is cool and amazing when she sees my sister and her little dog. I must point out that this place really is open 24/7. I live too far away if I have an emergency but because of Jenny I have a renewed faith in vets.

Fantastic experience: The whole team at Vets4Pets Northampton have been fantastic. Our dog had to have some teeth out recently and it's always nerve-wracking when they have to have a general anaesthetic but the vets and nurses were so supportive, constantly keeping us updated on progress. After we collected him, they followed up several times to check on progress - it felt like they weren't just following a process but like they genuinely cared. On top of that, when our insurers tried to refuse the (legitimate) claim, the admin team helped us by providing the information quickly and again, kept us updated, and it's now been approved. Thank you to everyone there for being so kind and helpful throughout a stressful time!

Negative experience: Unfortunately, I am writing a bad review, which is pretty hard to say but needs to be said. My parents had a cat come to theirs and went to great lengths to find its owners locally. Please note that not all people, especially the elderly know about chipping and the legal implications. The cat needed the vet recently and their cat who had lived with them for nearly 3 years was taken in. The cat was never seen again because as he was chipped the legal owners had to rightly be contacted. However, no consideration whatsoever was given by the staff to my parents and they have food, toys and bedding which the legal owners may wish to have and so we have left messages to Vets for Pets. I am really annoyed at the cold way in which foster parents are treated and not allowed to say goodbye and so perhaps some decency can be given when you train your staff.

Fantastic experience: Super professional and friendly. Had my kitten spayed a few days ago and she has been looked after and taken care of in a great way. We left the clinic with lots of valuable information. The only downside that I would recommend for this site, is to get a better type of protective cones/ onesies that pet can wear after the surgery. Currently they only have big plastic cones that are falling off immediately and I would say are rather uncomfortable for smaller pets.

Fantastic experience: Had to phone for an emergency review of my Norfolk Terrier. Was allocated an appointment for same day…. Reception staff were lovely, and the vet was excellent. Fantastic experience: I had my cat spayed and microchiped at the same time. Fantastic people, starting from very kind and helpful reception, to vet who explained every little question with patience and knowledge. Picked up my kitten expecting sleepy and disorientated pet , however to my surprise she was happy as ever, and it looks as she does not even realise that she had anything done . Highly recommended

Fantastic experience: 5-Star Review for Vets for Pets Northampton (St James Mill Road) After my cat unexpectedly came into heat over the weekend, I quickly booked an appointment for a spay at Vets for Pets Northampton, and what an amazing experience it turned out to be! From start to finish, the team were incredibly understanding, kind, and so attentive to my little fur baby. I was nervous about how she would be after the procedure, expecting her to be scared or unsettled, but when I picked her up, she was calm, content, and even looked happy to be in their company. I cannot thank the team enough for the care and compassion they showed. If anyone is looking for a trustworthy and caring vet, I 100% recommend Vets for Pets on St James Mill Road. They truly go above and beyond!

Fantastic experience: Updated Nov 24 We couldn't be happier with the care Olive has received following a very scary diagnosis and traumatic time for her. Vet Maisie has been absolutely fantastic. We are super grateful to Maisie and the team involved in Olive's care. She still bounds into the practice with a waggy tail and loves being taken away for her bloods. I think that's a testament to the way she's been looked after. Nov 19 They always have time for you. They were fantastic with Olives recent spay and their aftercare service is brilliant. We have also recently brought our cat in as an emergency in the middle of the night, I cant fault their care, knowledge or timing.

Positive experience: I do appreciate living so close to a decent vet. I have been using them for years and luckily for most of that, not with hefty bills and whilst I understand they have to make a profit in order to keep the business open. I'm particularly miffed at how much it cost recently for antibiotics. These antibiotics can be purchased for £8.49, obvs with a prescription online, yet my charge was over £40. I'm appreciative of the fact that my pet insurance comes with free access to vets so I can contact them before parting with huge sums of money but it's ridiculous.

Fantastic experience: Cannot express how grateful we are for the absolutely fantastic care received here. Arriving with a very poorly dog who needed emergency surgery. Vet Abi was incredible, and quick to take action, communicating all the way through some tense waits, she saved his life and Laura Vet Nurse who took superb care of him post op. The communication, knowledge and real genuine care and concern along with the treatment was second to none. and our boy is well on the way to recovery from a life threatening situation. Fantastic experience: Loving caring veterinary practice , costs are actually better than you may think here. Bonus point you can even communicate over WhatsApp with the practice. In 2024 this is awesome and so much easier to be able to do this.

Fantastic experience: Took my dog here to stay overnight as my regular Vets4Pets couldn't continue his treatment for an emergency of unknown cause. The staff were friendly, the vet was helpful, I couldn't concentrate on the paperwork as I hadn't eaten and had been dealing with the emergency all day and the staff took their time to help me understand what I was signing, despite the fact I was likely asking very simple or silly questions. The process of examination and treatment plans discussed was conducted as a collaborative effort and I felt very involved. The vet asked if I wanted an update later that evening and I said no, but once I was home I did struggle having the dog away as he is young and this was his first time away from home. I called and spoke to the team and they were unbelievably kind and caring and put me at ease so much that I managed to get a good night sleep. Whoever the vet nurse was that took my call for Tobey at around 11pm on Fri 20th September - You are a star. You clearly care about people and animals and you made choices in how you spoke to me, what you said to me and the time you spent doing so and you made such a huge difference to me, more than you will ever know. I am so grateful to you, thank you. Upon collecting my dog the next day, I was met again by more friendly staff (and a much busier waiting room!). Before my dog was brought back to me, the nurse spent time answering all of my questions and covering off everything we might need to know and future plans. Considering this started as an awful rush to the Vets in Rugby and a lot of fear and anxiety for my furry friend, it was made to be a breeze. Thank you Northampton, you are consummate professionals and I am forever grateful.

Negative experience: I was with Vets4Pets Northampton Hospital (Becket Retail Park) for a little over a year, but decided to move vets as I've had a number of issues and simply lost trusts. These include: - Unnecessarily prescribing steroids (and not being willing to discuss alternatives) without thoroughly examining my dog. When I complained about it, I was told I was in the wrong, despite another vet from their own practice agreeing steroids were not needed. - Incorrectly prescribing medication (prescribing it 3x a day but failed to mention there has to be 8 hours in between doses). - For my elderly dog's librela injection, I only ever see a nurse. At my old practice before Vets4Pets and my new one, you also have regular appointments with the vet to assess the ongoing care of your dog. - When I booked in specifically to see a vet, I ket seeing a different vet each time - even when I booked a specific vet, I always end up seeing someone else. One of my dogs are elderly and I worry knowing he's a point where he needs more frequent vet care, and he is on various regular medication, and I fel5 like there was zero support to manage it, and quite the opposite in fact, with medication errors. I have now changed practice, where one of their senior vets spent an hour with me on our first appointment, talking through both of my dogs history at length, their current situation and needs and assessed them thoroughly. I am so thankful I made the decision to move from Vets4Pets and go to a vet where my dogs are able to receive adequate care, and to actually have a vet I can work with to ensure they receive the best care possible.

Fantastic experience: I cannot praise Dr Jenny Millington and her staff at Vets4pets in Northampton enough for the love and care they gave my dog whilst she was there having an operation for cancer. I have never had the experience of a vet or vet nurse contacting me so often regarding Bries progress. They are absolutely amazing! I cannot praise them highly enough. Thankyou so much for all your exemplary love and care for my dog and l will be eternally grateful to you all.

Negative experience: Nothing particularly against the building, but as a practise I have concerns that profit comes first. Despite calling my local vet before they closed I was told they were closing in 20 mins and would not have time to see our dog (who had fitted in the heat but now seemed ok) they did though say we MUST take her to the out of hours one. We did this, a three minute look over to confirm what we had said, cost £330. Including £30 for them to log the visit with our insurance! Nice profits!!

Fantastic experience: A great vets in Northampton. Got us in the next day from phoning, turned up early and they greeted me in and we got seen early. Our dog is terrified of the vets but the vet did everything she could to calm him and see to him quickly. Very quick diagnosis and out within 20 minutes. It is however very expensive.

Fantastic experience: Thank you so much for your patience, compassion and kind handling of my collie today when you put her out of her pain and continual problems. She was always going to be a difficult patient but after her initial sedation, I had a very valuable 5 minutes to chat to her while she went to sleep . Thank you Jordan and Emma .

Fantastic experience: We recieved the most incredible care for our sausage dog, and plenty of reassurance was given throughout the entire procedure- included pictures being sent on whattsap to keep us updated!

Fantastic experience: Our cat angel was taken in here for a 2 night stay due to a serious water infection and needed a operation .The staff were outstanding with care for my animal we were updated constantly about his progress and they went above and beyond to care for my cat and keep us informed I can highly recommend this vets and thank all the staff at st James depot very much for all the stuff you done.

Fantastic experience: Amazing Vet and Receiptionists, had to visit for the 2nd time over the weekend for our very poorly dog. They were amazing and very professional, unfortunatley our little Buddy was too poorly to bring home but they talked us through the process putting him to sleep and gave us time to say goodbye and have final cuddles. We had all the time we needed, i would certainly recommend this practice to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Absolute excellent service after our 10 week old puppy Bella contracted Parvovirus and was admitted into your care. We were kept very well informed at all times and the treatment and care given to our Bella was excellent. We were absolutely devastated but the professionalism and empathetic attitude was exemplary. After 3 days in their care our Bella was discharged and is now back to her playful self. Unfortunately our insurance was 1 day out from being validated, but the costs we had to pay were very reasonable and worth every penny. Thank-you for what you did for our little Bella  - Bella

Fantastic experience: Poorly dog but went in with one worry and was put at ease it wasn't what I thought. Now testing for cushings disease. Would have been helpful if the cost could have been explained before hand however I still would have continued regardless. The same vet Continually dealt with Tia and made all calls with results ect which was excellent as he knew all her history. Was good to see it through with the same vet.
