Fantastic experience: The team have been amazing and supportive with our new litter. Unfortunately we lost a puppy but Sam the nurse was amazing in explaining everything to us, giving clear guidance without getting our hopes up whilst being encouraging.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with the friendly and proactive customer service team, and Alex the vet was fantastic with my cat. I was a little worried as she isn’t used to being handled and can be quite moody and vocal — which she definitely was — but Alex was so attentive, gentle, and caring. He was thorough throughout the consultation, and I left feeling completely reassured. Thank you, Vets4Pets Woolwell! ⭐️

Negative experience: I took my hamster for an initial check after finding a lump. At no point was I told there would be any charge for this visit, and there was no tick box or section on their contact form to agree to any fees. After the appointment, I was contacted several times by phone, text, and WhatsApp demanding payment for a charge I was never made aware of. I find this completely unacceptable and misleading. Clear communication about costs should be given before any appointment, not after.

Negative experience: Brought my cat in last week, been seen by new vet. Very nice girl, explained everything and said she’s not gonna charge me for consultation. When I went to reception lady at the desk told me total including consultation fee. I explained what vet told me and she said “ she’s new here, she doesn’t know what she’s doing and you came here for skin condition not flee treatment “ I find her very rude against her colleague who just joined practice, I wasn’t complaining about payment, paid and left. She doesn’t even said goodbye. If I see her next time will ask for somebody else to help me

Fantastic experience: I would not take my pets any other vets. We have a very very anxious frenchie who needed back surgery in 2022, Jo was so caring when we arrived and now the team are aware each time we bring Lenny how to administer his infections. Our rabbit was pts 2 days ago and the card they gave to us was just so thoughtful. Thank you all so much for making that day a little easier. You are all amazing ❤️ Carly (Lenny and Simba)

Fantastic experience: Sam was amazing our little chihuahua needed dental treatment but she has a nasty heart murmur so Surgury was high risk, we were so worried about her but after speaking to Sam at length she really put our minds at rest. Our little one was fine and she is doing really well so Thankyou to all including lovely receptionist ❤️

Fantastic experience: I had to get an emergency appointment for a pet and they fit me in immediately and signed me up. The reception team were very friendly, the vet very knowledgeable and careful to my rabbit and the diagnosis was fair with good advice. Glad to be a new member.

Fantastic experience: I couldn't be more impressed and satisfied with our experience this week. Took my elderly cat who was unwell. Long consultation as it was difficult to obtain bloods from her, but nothing was too much trouble. I have been able to ask further questions via WhatsApp through the week and received a follow up call today from Sara, the vet. I was told at every point to call if I wanted my cat seen again if I was concerned. Excellent and reassuring service.

Fantastic experience: After bad experiences at other vets with my guniea pigs I registered at Woolwell after reading good things about an exotic vet that works there named Jo . My piggy , Cinnamona got sick and stopped eating , I took her there and was seen by Jo - phoned at 8.30am and was told to come in as an emergency and was seen straight away, Jo really understands guniea pigs , I left Cinnamona in her care for the day ( I've never trusted anyone enough to leave any of my piggys with them before) , I cried with relief in my car afterwards . The service can't be faulted , everyone made me feel like they cared , Cinnamona has now made a full recovery and even the cost was less than I expected! Highly recommended for guniea pig owners and to all Woolwell staff , thank you !

Positive experience: It's getting to expensive I will be looking for a new vet in the new year. I have no problem with the vets , just the cost of yearly injections.

Fantastic experience: Took my daughter cat for her check up staff very friendly and the vet was lovely maid the cat feel very calm . Very clean and tidy there and also cat and dog Area is separate so they are not in top of each other .A+++++

Fantastic experience: There is the most amazing young chap on the desk. I can't sing his praises more... he was so down to earth and funny. It was pleasure to visit and the young mam in question should be promoted . He even helped me with my cat aftwr the inistial vet consultation. He went ahead and administered the flea treatment because I was worried.. thankyou so much. The vets are all very very kind and friendly as well. Great service

Fantastic experience: Yesterday we had to put our precious old Guinea pig Iris down, it was a hard decision, but the right one! Jo and her team were very caring, supportive and understanding! Couldn’t ask for better care at such a hard time! Thank you so much to the whole team! xx

Fantastic experience: Went here as only place that used Laser therapy treatment for our dog, Jacob is fantastic, the laser therapy works brilliantly, sadly they have now returned it and no longer offer the service.

Negative experience: We had to have our dog put to sleep less than 2 weeks ago which that in itself was traumatic enough. We then had been charged too much on invoice of final bill and argued with as to what type of care plan our dog was on, so much so we had to dig out emails to prove it. Not on. We decided to cremate our dog elsewhere as we wanted something more personal, we then collected our dog and to my horror I had to negotiate the door with my elbow whilst carrying my beloved dog out whilst staff just handed her over and watched on! Our dog was lucky enough not to need much from the vets but if this is the standard of care I’m glad she didn’t!! Very very disappointing Woolwell. We now know of 3 people that are also leaving due to such poor practice

Fantastic experience: Most of the time I only come has been for checkups and flea treatment etc for my 3 cats. The receptionists are always really friendly, sensitive, & and helpful, but we rarely see the same vet. No matter as all the vets & nurses are equally good anyway. Recently I had to take one of my cats as he had a poorly tummy and the vet was really good with him. She said that he needed blood tests etc but warned that they could be expensive. Clearly she was sensitive to people's financial situations which is a problem for so many people. Fortunately, I have insurance & the nurses took blood from my very uncooperative cat straight away. I had the results back in 1 or 2 days. Because the receptionists are so good they made sure I saw the same vet for his follow up. The practice seems quite small, but I think it's quite big out the back & offers lots of services. The waiting room is split between dogs and cats / small animals, which is helpful and thoughtful, plus they have blankets sprayed with feliway to put over your cat baskets to help keep your cat calm. It's frequently busy & parking is at a premium. It's free but there are rarely any spaces in the evening. There's a Lidl on the same retail park, but I don’t know if you can park there (& that's pretty busy too).

Fantastic experience: My dog kai was taken poorly and a trip to the vet on Saturday morning 20/1/24 was needed. As always the staff were amazing, kai is a little nervous at the vets but the vet was just incredible with him. She was calm and let him take his own time. He is now on the mend thankfully. I can not recomend this vet highly enough Thankyou so much.

Fantastic experience: I can't recommend highly enough, best vets I've visited in 30 years! Nurses carried out a nail trim on my ex-stray, terrified cat for the first time so myself and the cat were both nervous! The nurses managed to do this successfully in the crate she arrived in, as she isn't used to being handled. I was very impressed by their kind, caring, professional.

Negative experience: I was very very disappointed today as when we went to pick up my dogs ashes they were not there this is not the first but the second time I have had a problem with this veterinary practice, my dog Lucy was put to sleep on the 25th August 2023 and we were told that the man who comes to pick her up to be cremated will not be up until the Tuesday after bank holiday and that Lucy's ashes would be at the vets on the 4th September 2023, my partner and i went up to pick Lucy's ashes up today the 4th September 2023 to be told Lucy's ashes would not be there until the following Monday being the 11th September 2023. I think this is disgusting as we have been waiting for such a long time we miss Lucy so much and want lucy to be next to Patch and Rosie who she grew up with. The last visit we had to this veterinary practice was bad to as they put Patches ashes in a box instead of a woven basket and then we wanted Patch to be with Rosie .

Fantastic experience: Alex is a star. Of course a bedside manner is nice, and Alex has that. But the important part of healthcare is competency and Alex has that in spades. We waited to be able to see him while he was on holiday he’s that good. And that’s not a negative judgment about his colleagues at this practice. It’s just that he is so good we’ve never tried the alternatives at this place. Competent, kind, reasonable and possessed of abundant common-sense. Five Stars for Alex ***** This would have been a one star except for Alex, the vet. It was very stressful, our cat had been poisoned somehow and was in very bad shape. I was stressed and a bit of an a-hole if I am honest. And, I made the mistake on starting the conversation with what turned out to be an assistant thinking that I was talking to a veterinarian. The situation was rescued by Alex a real gem, and an actual vet showing up. He was entirely rational, open-minded, kind, and a pleasure to deal with. One of the most positive experiences I have had of this type in years. And the bill was entirely reasonable as well.

Fantastic experience: Had a lovely experience. Our kitten was spayed and the vets were very good with her. Answered all our questions. There is sperate waiting areas for dogs and cats and for nervous cats in crates they have some towels sprayed with calming spray to place over the crates. Recommend if you drive as it is a way out near the robourgh Tesco's, but also as it is its own building good for nervous animals

Fantastic experience: Vets4Pets at Woolwell always provide a first class service for my pet rats as well as my cats. I took one of my rats up with suspected pyometra last week. She was booked in for emergency surgery, without which she would have become very ill and possibly died. Once again, they have been life savers

Fantastic experience: Thankyou so much for helping me with my sick dog Cocker Dolly with a blindness issue (lower eyelid jammed shut). The reception staff made an appt within 30 mins of my call which was highly appreciated , then straight in to see Vet Alex who was extremely helpful and prescribed eye drops after a through examination which I can say 3 days later Dolly has fully recovered. Once again , Thankyou ever so much. Ken.

Fantastic experience: My kitten was experiencing eye problems and they managed to book him in in as little as 45 minutes. So satisfied with the advice they gave me over the phone as I didn’t want to waste their time if it wasn’t something to worry about. Turns out he needed eye drops and I was so pleased with the thorough checks of my kitten as well as passing on the information to me. The vet was more than happy to answer other questions I had too. Very pleased with my experience

Unfortunately she didn't improve, so we decided to get her cremated with them. They gave us a lovely box containing her ashes, a small bottle of hair, and a card with her paw prints. I called Vets4Pets and found the reception team incredibly kind and helpful, registering both our cats and getting us an appointment the same day. Fantastic experience: Both of our dogs have received the most professional and personal care with these lovely, dedicated people. They all, as in every single team member that we have had the pleasure of communicating with, have given the most professional and empathetic response. We recently lost our lovely old girl Lilly at 14 years. All the staff were very kind, professional and provided that end of life service our beautiful old girl deserved. The vet, Aoife and two veterinary nurses, were so kind and gentle, clearly understanding just how much a family pet means to you. I would recommend this lovely, thoughtful and understanding team to everyone. The lovely Aoife is aptly named, her kindness and understanding fills the room. A gentle and very caring person.

Fantastic experience: We cannot recommend them highly enough. Having had a very distressing experience with our exisiting vet (writing off our 15 year old cat and suggesting there was no point operating) Jo gave a second opinion and said 'yes we can do that and you can give her a chance'. The operation was done the same day, with professionalism and efficiency. We have a happy cat, recovering well, who has been given a chance. We have regsitered our other pet with Jo too, this is the advice and service you want. All the team are kind and preofessional. It feels like a genuinely personal service where they care. We feel lucky to have them as our new vet. They came high recommended from a friend and we should have changed vets years ago. Thank you team, you are exceptional. All our hope and optimism has been restored.
