Positive experience: All the staff are kind including the vets & my pet was treated well but the prices for medication from their in-house pharmacy are now seriously over the top. 28 tablets & small bottle ear drops £204. What’s more the cost was £64 more than the vet had said it would be during the consult - so an expensive surprise when I got to reception.

Negative experience: Disgusting excuse of a vets. The vet barely looked at his paw when my dog was there, and didn't take his temp or any other standard checks when there is a high possibility of infection. Even worse when I contested the £75 consultation fee and I was refused to his medication £220 (5 times the price online) unless I also paid the £75 totalling £295 so I could either leave my dog suffering and wait for the consultant to call me later to justify this inadequate consultation or pay the awful vets (obviously I paid) every other vets I spoke to was so much more helpful

Fantastic experience: Lovely caring, patient vets. We have a rescue who can be reactive when under stress and she knew on our 1st appointment knew what to do to relax her (without sedation) to allow them to cut her claws. Something other vets haven't managed.

Fantastic experience: We had our first visit to Rosehill today, and couldn’t have had a better experience. My GSD hates the vets and isnt a big fan of other dogs, but everybody was so accommodating, making sure we could get through to where we needed to go and have adequate space from other dogs even when it got very crowded towards the end. Our vet (who I believe was Katherine) was amazing, so patient and it’s the fastest Stella has warmed up to a vet (even though they arent quite friends yet!). She was able to examine what I needed her to. Can’t thank her enough for making Stella feel as calm as she could be and not forcing her into doing anything. Great experience for Stella, lovely staff, and the practice as a whole is immaculate.

Fantastic experience: Our very anxious, very nervous, doggo needed some bloods taken today. Dr. Aniela was fantastic. She was so kind to him, totally recognised that in actual fact he’s not really a dog, he’s just a baby, and needed lots of love. She went out of her way to book him back in later to give it another try while he was sedated, which was a success. We have been coming to Rose Hill with our boy for almost 10 years and we’ve always had a good experience. They’re professional and averagely priced but the main thing is they all seem to care about animals and go out of their way to make sure they’re properly looked after. Fantastic experience: This was our third visit. The last time was an emergency after a dog attacked my cat. I was stunned at the level of compassion for the animals and their owners - so different from our last practice. Sophie on reception was very welcoming and efficient. Aniela our Vet was wonderful very caring and empathetic explained everything so well. Gave us options as we work toward a diagnosis. She genuinely cares and had my cats best interests at heart . She remembered him and small details from our emergency appointment. She gets how much we love him. It is for this I completely trust her with my pets. He is feeling so much better today thank you

Fantastic experience: I have been using Rosehill for many years now and on the last few occasions I have had Vet Aniela who was absolutely fantastic. She did not make me feel rushed, I felt heard and I felt that she really genuinely cared for my pet - she was amazing with my cat Flossy, I really cannot fault her. Her listening, examination and diagnosis skills were great, as was her patience as flossy was not being an example patient. I hope to have her each time I go and she made what can be a stressful time better for not only myself but my pet too. I highly recommend Aniela.

Fantastic experience: My dog was admitted as an emergency case and due to previously losing my last dog suddenly a few years, I was in a highly anxious state. The team were able to see my dog immediately upon calling and were very supportive, reassuring and kind. They looked after me as well as my dog. Treatment was swift, fully informed and it was heart warming to see how much they cared for my dog. Thank you everyone for helping me through what was a scary day for me!

Negative experience: I’m really disappointed with my recent experience. I brought my cat and dog in together, and although they were both seen during the same 20-minute appointment, I was charged for two full consultations — one at £67.50 and another at £64.50. I fully understand that each pet requires individual attention, but when they are seen in the same session and time slot, there should be some professional discretion or flexibility in pricing. Instead, I was charged as if two separate appointments took place, which they didn’t. I was also advised that both pets needed flea treatment. I said I was happy to note down the product and buy it myself, but was told it had to be prescribed. I agreed — only to find out I’d be charged £36.50 per prescription, despite them being issued during the consultation I’d already paid twice for. When I queried this, I was told it’s a fee to cover the time it takes to write a prescription. But again, that time was already paid for. They may argue “it’s just how we operate” or that every service has a separate charge, but that’s exactly the problem: the pricing structure is inflexible to the point of being unfair. There’s no allowance for common sense or circumstance. It felt like I was dealing with a vending machine rather than a veterinary practice, select a service, pay a fixed fee, regardless of whether it overlaps with something you’ve already been charged for. To make matters worse, I was recommended a product that showed as £11.90 on the screen, only to be quoted £28 to buy it from the practice directly, more than double the price. And finally, I’ve now paid £97 for the flea treatment itself. In total, I’ve spent £336.36, and the only actual treatment administered was a single steroid injection for my cat. No other medication dispensed, no testing done, just a lot of paper and a hefty bill. I completely understand that vets are businesses and need to charge for their time and expertise. That’s not the issue. The issue is that the pricing here felt stacked in the clinic’s favour, with no transparency, no flexibility, and no gesture of goodwill. Just layer upon layer of fees for the same block of time. I left feeling taken advantage of not cared for.

Fantastic experience: We can't thank Andrew enough how he dealt with our nervous rescue Dog Charlie. We are so happy with the service and we highly recommend Rosehill vets. Andrew was so helpful and friendly and he gave us all the relevant information aswell the options we have for Charlie's treatment. We even received a message after a couple of days to give us more information and making sure Charlie was OK . Andrew was so calm around Charlie and Charlie didn't growled once as with previous Vets Charlie has always be given something to calm him down before the visits. So this visit was so much better then all the other vets we used. And being new to this area we was a bit nervous too. The receptionists was very friendly and helpfu too. We definitely more then happy with the service.

Fantastic experience: A huge thank you to Aniela for a truly exceptional consultation today for my greyhound: Oisín. She immediately built a rapport with Oisín who kindly allowed her to investigate the cause of his front left leg pain. Her explanations concerning treatment and, in particular, advice on medications were clear and comprehensive. A professional service which has put me and Oisín at ease. Once again, thank you for a truly exceptional consultation.

Negative experience: Outrageous profiteering. £47.50 charged for simple ear drops available for £11.55 online, and want £35 for a written repeat prescription. This is after a £65 10 minute consultation fee. No wonder all the animal shelters are full.

Negative experience: Kept me waiting for nearly an hour, actually asked me what I was doing there after 45mins. The receptionist doesn't have a clue what's going on. The pharmacist wouldn't let me collect flea treatment, said I'm not due until January, it's mid December now! Costs me a tenner in taxi fair to get there. Very poor treatment over all sorry

Negative experience: £780+ to have teeth scraped and 8 teeth removed under anesthetic for my small dog. They gave my dog 50% too much medication. Now she will be on a drip for 24 to 48 hours as a "precaution"

Positive experience: I’m new to Rosehill vets so can’t really speak to the quality of the vets as my 9 week old kitten has only been in for flea treatment so far and everyone was lovely but I rang up this evening to enquire about when they would recommend I get her microchipped as I’m a first time owner and wasn’t sure and the lady on the phone was very rude and judgemental saying “you don’t need to chip them straight out of the womb” and things along those lines and didn’t even give me an answer just said to ask the vet next time I’m in which is a few weeks away so I’m left without answers from them, I pay for monthly for all of her treatments and would think that I would be allowed to ask a question on their bloody queries phone line ‍♀️

Negative experience: The Rosehill vet surgery is far removed from what it once was. In terms of environment it has recently been refurbished to an excellent standard incorporating a separate pharmacy. I appreciate that people need to move on but there isn't the heart left.there is no longer the air of intelligent familiarity. It has been my good fortune to rescue cats throughout my life. Two came from a client of Mr Grinters. With the current regime The girl I have now will be my last. 3 times(I believe) has a consultation fee risen. On one occasion it was £55 one week £58 the next not including anything else that is nessisary. This is by no way of Mr Grinters and his abilities as a veterinary Surgeon.

Negative experience: The reception is always immaculate. Vet missed an ear infection after I told her the symptoms , said there was just a little wax, so had to go back again 2 days later and pay for another consultation for the same problem. The nurses are great. Expensive.

Positive experience: Had appointment but still had to wait 40 min. And people come in after use still went in before us.

Fantastic experience: The reception staff are lovely, the practise is very clean and modern, the vets are amazing they really know what they are doing, and they really care about the wellbeing of your animal, and the healthy pet club is such a helpful way to cut down your costs, my dog is a rescue and was abused in his previous home so is very funny around people touching him, but the vets are so patient and good with him and always give him the best care, I would highly recommend Rosehill.

Fantastic experience: I cannot rate this practice highly enough. I recently changed from a vets which I was becoming very unhappy with to Rosehill veterinary Clinic. From day one I knew I made the right choice, the staff are super friendly and helpful, the layout of the reception and waiting areas are comfortable and where my last vet in my opinion misdiagnosed and missed issues, here totally the opposite. They diagnosed my cat Misty immediately of a potentially fatal illness and put him on immediate medication. This morning after an ultrasound and bloods looking very promising I highly recommend them to anyone. Misty is a new cat. Thankyou Rosehill staff for a great experience

Our dog loves coming here as she is made a fuss of, everybody is very friendly and the new redesign looks fantastic. They've even thought of separate cat and dog waiting areas to avoid added stress to the animals. The whole place is really calm and comforting for the animals.

Fantastic experience: Arriving at the clinic I am always greeted with a warm welcome. The reception staff are brilliant and my puppy Buddy, loves how they all say hello to him. The veterinarians are always really friendly and are extremely professional. I have my puppy on the care plan they provide and it is a good feeling to know, that all his flea and worming treatments are already paid for and he also gets 2 free health checkups a year. The health plan also saved me a huge amount of money, getting his Vaccinations and microchip done as part of the care plan. All in all I would recommend this practice to all my family amd friends.

Negative experience: Really disappointed in this vets. I took my dog because he has ringworm. The vet refused to believe it was ringworm even though I took photos of when it flared up badly ( solid circular, flaky, oozing scabs). He had sores on his toes etc ( common with ringworm). Id told the vet i was using an anti fungal shampoo and it helped but i felt it wasnt enough. I was told it was allergies and couldnt be ringworm because i myself hadnt caught it. I asked if i could pay for an allergy test and was told no they prefer the elimimation technique. Absolutely ridiculous. I was Told to use hibiscrub on his toes and given steroids. I paid £108 for a consultation and steroids ( i had to buy hibiscrub offline) which didn't work. The ringworm got alot worse. I took him to another vet who diagnosed ringworm instantly. But because it had gotten worse the treatment will now be prolonged. I wont be using this vets again.

Fantastic experience: I was worried about my Cat Millie. I took her to the vet, and even though they were busy, they fitted her in with an appointment on the spot. Didn't have to wait very long, which was appreciated. The staff and receptionists were excellent and very caring. Thank you all again.

Negative experience: I was not going to leave a review but then I thought why keep paying the pet plan if you are not going to say anything. The two vets I have last seen on my dogs 6 monthly health checks was not worth paying for the service the one I saw last year did not even do half the checks that should be compliant with the health plan. He was more interested in googling the pet food I had my dog on slating them on high the fat content was and not good for my dog. Then carrying on to say that chappie was the best. He stated he used to have his dogs on it until it made them sick!!!!!! Really good advert, maybe a back hander!! The last vet he saw last week seemed so disengaged and eager to promote giving my dog a general anaesthetic to clean his teeth although stating he only has Tatar at the moment and informing her that her last colleague didn’t even bother looking at his teeth she appeared not interested at all in that fact!!! It leaves me very disheartened that my pet is in good hands and concerned that the compassion has gone out of Rosehill vets bowing down to comercial enterprise.

Fantastic experience: Always friendly and our vet is brilliant with my cats!

Negative experience: We had a very bad experience with this vet with our 15 year old cat. She had a tumour on her leg which they removed without biopsy. When it came back they said she should be put down ("what was the point of a biopsy?"). We insisted on a biopsy and an an xray which showed grade one and hadn't spread. All the way along they insisted (more than one vet) she should be put down there is no point taking any other action. We took her to another vet who operated. Four months on she is thriving on three legs. Go to Vets4Pets in Roborough who were professional, caring and reasonably priced. This was a very upsetting experience for the whole family.

Fantastic experience: This veterinary clinic is very good. Vets and other staff are friendly and understanding. I have been with them for several years and never had any issues
