Fantastic experience: Amazing vets, we have been coming here for a few years now with two of our dogs. They have always been so caring and professional. From the receptionists to the veterinary team, they are all so helpful and informative. We've recently had big issues with our dog who has had a serious eye ulcer, she nearly lost her eye but the vet Felix really took care of Esther and basically got us to get her to a specialist in Penrith ASAP where she needed a big eye operation to save it. He was really worried about her after and contacted us to check how she was doing. Felix went above and beyond to make sure our dog was getting the right care. We have always had great care from the vets here and they have a real personal touch, we can't imagine using any other vets around York. Thank you to all the team

Fantastic experience: My boxer dog has been with Green Vets for several years, with multiple health conditions. Anna and Rob have incredible care, compassion and professionalism and I would not trust Betty's care with anyone else. Betty has seen many other vets and veterinary nurses at this Practice who have all been outstanding. This carries through to the reception staff who are also amazing. We want to say a massive thank you for the incredible service we have received. Your beloved pet simply cannot be in better hands ❤️

Fantastic experience: My dog had her nails trimmed here and Gerda was absolutely fantastic with her! My dog is quite big and very exuberant, being only 11 months old, and Gerda took the time to complete the nail clip, giving her lots of breaks and never handling her harshly when she stepped away. I’m writing this review because from the moment we entered she explained that she wouldn’t interact with her excitedly or make a lot of eye contact with her, which showed that she noticed exactly what my dog needed to not get overexcited without me even saying anything. She then confidently handled my dog’s nail trim with cooperative care and this made for an extremely good experience for her in her training journey. Thank you Gerda.

Fantastic experience: we have been with green vets for 3 years now and we cannot fault there care at all we have recently had to take our dog to the vets several times and the patient care we had from Chris and others was excellent we felt reassured by the team and would recommend green vets without hesitation the reception staff need recognising as well they are always helpful and smiling a nice welcome when you enter the practice well done to you all jane humphreys & tony mcmanus

Fantastic experience: Thank you to the team for fitting my guinea pig in so quickly, emailed at 6pm the night before and at 9am the next day we were seen by Felix. Lovely manner, prescribed medication, quick dispensing and friendly reception team. Parking on site is brilliant, plenty and easy to navigate. All very clean, tidy and pleasant.

Fantastic experience: I have had all my pets with greens with amazing care but just recently my little dog Buster 18 years had reached the end of his life. We decided to do this procedure at home with family present. It was the most amazing experience even though so sad for us the vet and his veterinary nurse were amazing they treated buster with respect and love and talked to him until he took his last breath like he could hear them. I have never experienced anything so special I would recommend greens and their team for any pets. No words could be enough to thank the vets teams. They were also fantastic with us as owners too as after care checking we were ok. Amazing vets Thankyou the Dickinson family

I would like massively thank the young man vet who dealt with my pooch and the lady nurse who gave me her back. I didn’t get there names but they both made me feel so much better. The vet man sorry I can’t give names, rang me twice to give me updates during the night, if you could put there names on here that would be lovely. Just so they get credit for there work on my pooch, shy. Reception staff amazing too. I honestly from the bottom of my heart can not recommend you guys high enough! X

They talk through everything with you and you know you're animal is in good hands. They are the best practice by miles, I wouldn't go anywhere else. The reception team are friendly and polite. Fantastic experience: Amazing practice I needed a 2nd opinion about treatments my dog should of had. Rob Treated my Nervous Dog with real love and care so much so she pulled too go in on the day of her procedure! And again on follow up appointment. Explained everything pros and cons of treatments and operations open too us and risks involved. Amazing value would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: We transfered to Green Vets just a short while before we lost our beautiful cat-friend Peanut to a sudden terminal illness. I am so glad that they could take us. Green Vets are not just the most skilled, committed and trustworthy vets but they genuinely care so much, about both people as well as pets. We are immensely grateful to Roberta and Anne for all their professionalism and effort in providing the very best quality care imaginable to our loved one, as well as for their compassion and their patience with us. Everything about this practice is amazing, even in the most difficult situations when your heart is breaking.

Fantastic experience: Changed from my vets to Green's a couple of months ago. It is an amazing place. 1 million times better. ROBERTA the cat specialist is a fantastic vet. She truly cares. We are never on a time limit (as we were at previous vet). Nothing is too much trouble (including cleaning our cat who gets stressed and empties every orifice on journey). Highly recommended

Fantastic experience: We were on holiday in the UK when our dog suddenly needed a vet. We called Green Vets in the morning from the car, and they were amazing — got us in straight away. Everyone there was super friendly and helpful. Huge thanks to Anne Busch, who was just fantastic. She was so calm and reassuring, and really made us feel like we were in good hands. Honestly one of the best vet experiences we’ve ever had. Can’t recommend Green Vets enough!

Fantastic experience: If I could have given 10 stars i would! What a fantastic find this lovely little independent vets practice is! They have just guided me through a complicated surgery with my little Westie after another vets in York botched the surgery! The staff are friendly and welcoming from the second we walked in! They gave me a quote for the surgery that was more complicated but over 50% cheaper than the last vets. The surgery is spotlessly clean and has a lovely warm family feel! The operation was a total success, they did not charge for the post anaesthetic review’s and the bill was exactly as quoted! I am so glad I found them and they accepted us on their list! Hurry people of York because there will not be spaces at this exceptional vets practice for long!!!

Everything was explained well and the staff were friendly, caring and reassuring. Nothing felt rushed, I felt listened to and that my requests were met. He needed to have a dental procedure not too long ago, and although usually quite scared to go back after being admitted- he walked into his next appointment excited to see everyone! Thank you for all your amazing work, cannot recommend this practice enough.

Fantastic experience: I decided to change vets for various reasons and discovered green vets through google. I’m so grateful to have found them. My cats Loki and Thor recently had to have some teeth out - everyone we saw before and after the operations have been great. The vets & receptionists are genuinely lovely and seem to really care about the animals. Although my cats are scared of the vets (like most) I feel confident they’re in good hands with everyone at green vets. I’ve never felt overcharged, the prices seem fair compared to other places. Can’t fault them! Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Really happy with Green Vets. I usually see Rob with my dog and have faith in his knowledge and abilities. All his staff are lovely and l feel l'm leaving my dog in the best possible hands when he's had to have treatment. I don't feel that they are trying to overcharge, despite vet charges being famously expensive. Thanks for all you do.

Fantastic experience: Really happy with my experience here. Was unfortunate enough to take my cat to a different vet who barely took a few minutes to check on him and basically guessed a prognosis and said there's not much that can be done. Thankfully was able to register my cat with Green Vets after recommended by a family friend and was seen the same day. The lovely vet gave a thorough examination and and did necessary testing to help diagnosis and also see if anything else is going on. Great experience and feel reassured to have found the best place for my cat. Thanks to the vet Roberta and Gerda for being lovely to my cat.

Negative experience: If you are unfortunate and your pet has come to the end of its life do not leave it with this vet , they will tell you your pet will go to a local pet crematorium but this is a pack of lies your pet will go to a mass crematorium probably in doncaster and you pet will have been cremated in mass so you will have ashes but may not be your pets .

Fantastic experience: So we had a bit of a panic cause our puppies became unwell. Was quickly seen by the vets and them the help they needed. Went back the next day just to make sure they're doing better wish thankfully they are. After that I thought nothing more of it but the finishing touch made allt he difference, when the vets called on day 3 just to check in before they went into out of hours/weekend. This is something I've never received from any other vets. I'm glad I switched to Greens, such brilliant care! Thank you everyone for everything you done!

Fantastic experience: I like how this veterinary practice doesn't have a clinical feeling. Instead, it's a friendly, family run business with a calming, welcoming environment for you and your four-legged friend. No need to worry if your fur baby is a little nervous as the treats are free flowing too.

Fantastic experience: Our wonderful 10 year old staffie x, Sasha, became very ill with Myasthenia Gravis. Although it is very rare Rob recognised it from the x-rays so making the diagnosis quick so that she didn't suffer for long. Rob and Nina were so kind and gentle with her. It is the best veterinary practice I have ever used.

Fantastic experience: Where to start… Cody, my working cocker spaniel, was presenting with vomiting, diarrhoea & lethargy. I must have called poor Rob 2/3 times at 4am to get advice & he was so patient & understanding. Took Cody in the following morning at 9am & he was left in their care. They called at 12pm to let me know he had Parvovirus & Giardia. Cody was discharged home after being on a drip with medication. This unfortunately wasn’t sustainable as Cody decided after coming home, he didn’t want to eat. Another out of hours call & their fab vet/nurse Kelsey (I think that’s her name) came in & looked after Cody all evening. He ended up staying a week in total, and they were fab the whole time. They looked after him, gave me multiple daily updates, played with him, even sacrificed time with their own pups to sit with Cody. He loves it at the vets which considering how bad he was, is an amazing feat . I cannot recommend Green Vets enough. The whole team, from the Vets, Vet techs, receptionists etc, they’re all absolutely amazing. I just hope all the chocolate, biscuits & mince pies kept you going . Cody’s now recovering well at home & is Parvovirus clear!

Have only been in the past for a puppy check up and jabs but last month my dog nelly had a scare with a lump I found. The receptionists got me in very quickly as they knew I was worried. Every single member of staff I came across were so lovely and polite and great with Nelly. I thought after her operation she’d be nervous about coming again but on her check ups I’ve never seen her so excited about going in and getting lots of fuss from everyone! Thank you so much for all your help I could not recommend you enough!

Fantastic experience: Such an amazing practice. All staff from receptionists, to the nurses, to the vets are all very friendly and knowledgeable. I really appreciate how great they are with my nervous dog and that they take the time to explain things fully during the consultation and don't make me feel stupid (as my previous vet practice did!). In the past year or so my dog has required a few procedures and each time the level of care provided has been outstanding including follow up appointments.
