Fantastic experience: What a wonderful vet. I'm a new cat mum and the service we received from start to finish was excellent. My kitten was spayed yesterday and they answered all my questions and were very reassuring..They prioritised my kitten as I had work later on in the day. The reception staff were friendly too. Would definitely recommend going here.

Negative experience: Consistently poor, both times I've taken my pet to them, I have asked what is the best time. Both times I have been kept waiting. There are other vets in Lincoln. Take your money to them. You can't trust these guys with basic time keeping. It makes me concerned if I can trust them with my pet.

Fantastic experience: Me and my dog absolutely adore this vets, the staff are extremely welcoming and friendly, they remember each pet and person who enters and are always ready to give them a fuss. I’ve been coming here for two years now with my rescue and I’ve seen him grow so much with interacting with strangers and people with the support of the lovely people here. They even offer free desensitisation sessions for animals to get them more comfortable and I’ve truly seen a massive change in my dogs confidence when coming to the vets, he even pulls on the lead to go in! Cannot thank everyone there for how amazing it is in here

Fantastic experience: I would just like to say a massive thankyou to all the staff that supported us with our nala she was out first pet and still young, i honestely hand on heart cant say thankyou enough for how the staff treat us and looked after us with our sad loss of nala, and the quickness of our emergancy to be seen, it didnt end the way we would have liked it, but she is in a better place and to recieve a card in the post from you all at linc vet, was very overwhelming and apreaciated from all the kind hearted staff you was all very kind and passionate towards us at this difficult time again id like to say a huge thankyou to you all at linc vet ❤️

Fantastic experience: The following statement still stands after several visits to Friars Lane. It is a thoroughly professional practice with very friendly, considerate and caring staff. Every concern or question I had was explored and explained in a clear and concise manner.

Negative experience: Do not use this vet if you care about your dog or cat they do not listen to what you have to say and would rather have your dog put to sleep than let him go home and have some rest. They will sell you Co-Codamol at £40 a box that you can get from the pharmacy for £2.50 all under the rouse that these are specifically made for dogs.

Our cat us 2 years old and I've never seen him so relaxed as he was during our consultation (Booster jab and claws clipped) The staff at Friars Lane make it a pleasure to have to take your pet there

Unfortunately last year we had to have our kitty cremated as she was hit by a car and they were ever so caring and made me feel at ease a few months later and we got two kittens and they have since been vaccinated and checked through this vets as well as been neutered and they kept us updated with everything they were doing! Cats are recovering well! Thank you to the staff at lincvets you're all spot on and so friendly xx

Fantastic experience: I went to lincvet today about my tortoise luke it was my first time in this particular vet, and I am extremely impressed !!! The veterinarian who looked over Luke was so understanding and handled him with great care. The receptionists were lovley and excited to meet him, which made us feel even more welcome ! For someone who visits exotic vets quite regually, the price was also very good! Highly reccomend

Fantastic experience: We called with an emergency on 23rd December just before they were closing for Christmas and they still managed to see our dog Baffo within an hour. The ladies at reception and the Vet were lovely. The Vet was very professional, examined the dog in a very calm manner and she explained everything to us. Thank you so much!!

Negative experience: Awful vets, we informed them that we had a reactive rescue dog who is wary of strangers and unfamiliar environments, we told the vets how best to go about handling him to keep him to calm and cooperate. All of the advice was ignored and he was treated very badly given his temperament. Upon leaving the surgery we were told that if he cannot behave we will have to take him to a different surgery. We will be doing this anyway after this experience, worst vets we have ever used, completely clueless, not to mention rude.

Fantastic experience: Two recent visits to Friars Lane LincVet for a routine neutering for an adolescent dog and first post-op. Although car parking is tight (not a fault of the practice), the whole practice is exceptionally welcoming. Thorough consultations and advice following the procedure, with post-op checks booked in same-day. Reassurances given and equally great service for the first post-op check. I'd be happy for our dog to be seen at Friars Lane again as staff are excellent and friendly.

Negative experience: I've had a very bad experience at the Birchwood branch on Friday where a receptionist (not the two on the photo on google) was appallingly rude and condescending. I had to walk out and not reschedule the appointment. I've raised a complaint so now waiting to hear of the outcome.

Fantastic experience: This is my local vet for my dog and I have always been happy with the service of the reception staff and vets although I have never yet been seen on my appointment time it’s normally anything from 20 minutes onward later than should be seen.

Fantastic experience: We had to say farewell to our beloved Labrador, Hugo earlier this week and Clare and the rest of the people at Lincvet were extremely sympathetic and helped us through our very difficult time. Hugo lay on the floor (big dog) with us stroking him and just fell asleep. Many thanks to Lincvet and thanks for the lovely card.

Fantastic experience: just had my kitten neutered and had a very lovely experience, whilst sat in the waiting area, i could hear the receptionist on the phone and she was being really lovely and friendly and as helpful as she could. as soon as the operation was over i got a phone call keeping me fully informed and when i picked him up aftercare was thoroughly explained. all the staff i interacted with were friendly despite it being a rather busy day and my kitten is feeling right as rain already

Negative experience: Called about our dog Sky who started bleeding heavily on the night of December 21st. Was told it was a tumour & they were going to do an exploratory operation. Reiterated that it was a tumour & there was little point in the operation but they'd check her bloods to see if possible still, suggested being put to sleep. I feel an operation should have been done to stop the bleeding even if it was a tumour because the bleeding (as well as Christmas) put pressure on our decision. Even though it was going to cost £1200 we'd rather of known what was possible. Eventually on the 23rd December we decided to say goodbye to her, within a minute of her going there was a card reader in front of us. A few days later a card arrived with her pawprint on it & though it's a nice thought, they used red ink for her pawpritn which is quite disturbing & easily could of been avoided considering how she died. There was also a mix up with the ashes which made us wonder whether we made the right decision & whether a 2nd opinion should of been sought. Paid about £800 for tests & having her PTS but no answers as to what was wrong & no effort to stop the blood loss to bide more time for any attempt to remove a tumour. Not the vets fault it happened but a few things could have been dealt with better & we're left wonderign whether we did the right thing which is not what you want.

Fantastic experience: Always supportive, helpful and compassionate even at the saddest of times. We had our dog put to sleep and they made the experience more bearable with their kindness. I've used Linc Vet for over 20 years and will continue to do so.

Positive experience: Grateful for their help after my dog was attacked in the city centre whilst visiting on hols from Merseyside. They treated and stitched her up within 2hrs of arriving despite me not being registered with them. All staff were very friendly. Would recommend them based on my limited experience with them.

Fantastic experience: Took my sphynx here for his castration, he was very well looked after and kept me informed on his 'trip'. Helpful receptionist and lovely staff

Negative experience: After a misdiagnosis at their other branch causing a one week delay this was now very urgent. You would think that checking the throat and airway would be a basic check before using an endoscope, it is in humans. But no, not here, due to poor training and equipment, and so they caused a fatal bleed, and we received a call from a panicked vet telling us they had nicked the neck with the endoscope, that our pet was bleeding to death, and asking to euthanise. Nice phrase that, their compounded incompetence caused the death.

Negative experience: Poor customer service with inconsistent approach to customer satisfaction. Requested twice for a call from the manager with out a response.

Negative experience: Very poor ethics and decision making. Money over care. I have affordability and would pay what ever it takes for treatment of my dog but this practice for years has always overcharged. Today though my review is based on a situation that was not caring at all. We found and injured pigeon that we managed to care for over a few days (weekend) this bird was in good health generally however had an injured wing. We took it to these people and made it clear that could it not be fixed We would still give the bird a go at life and would take care of him. We explicitly said we would look into rehabilitation and sanctuaries if necessary but felt this bird needed a chance. I have called today only to find an unsympathetic receptionist tell me they put it down. When questioned, she said well it couldn't be fixed. I said but we made it clear we would try to help. She said well it was euthanized sorry. Disgusting approach and even if the vet decided it was for the best, we didn't even get a call. Do not go here.
