Negative experience: I wouldn’t recommend taking your pets here I took mine and upon paying I asked if the price was correct and was advised it was correct and then a month later I get a text message to say ive got a balance to pay so I call to discuss then promised a call back but I never got one then a week later I got another message but they had applied a late payment charge and now unwilling to remove the charge saying I should of paid the first time they sent me a message, I have now cancelled my pet plans and will be going else where with my dogs due to incompetence

Fantastic experience: My two bunnies willow and maple recently got spayed here and all the staff were so lovely, answered all our questions and did there best to put our minds at ease during their surgery! Would recommend this vet to anyone, it’s the staff that makes it extra special even through stressful times!

Negative experience: Worst place in town to choose.was with them 10 months and on petclub aswell which is completely waste of your money.when clinic "forget" to send you reminders about vaccines which should be done,when you ask a quick look from doctor just to make sure if your pet is ok.everything charged extra even when you in the club.when you understand about being in club and paying 23 £ a month not give you anything,and decide to leave,just be aware all their treatments are overpriced till heaven(like nail clipping 30+£ when after nurse cut nails your pet will bleed,do it other times by myself)or flea and worm treatments they charge 90 £ for 3 months when even in pets at home shop full course cost 15 £.so if you decide to leave remember all their prices in club spreaded for 12 months and they still charge you for their "undone" and great job.now i understand ,why they are so empty everytime when i come there.not reccomend at all

Fantastic experience: I honestly recommend the pet vet to everyone whenever the chance arises. I have two cats both of which where indoor for a good part of the life's there 7 and 8 years old now. However when moving to house, they'd eventually become outdoor cats so my first move was to register them both get them health checked along with been chipped and spayed. I was petrified of taking my cats in incase anything went wrong ( people always share bad stories ). However every single visit I've ever had has been fantastic, everyone I've ever met from the vets to the receptionists have been nothing but kind caring informative and compassionate, my cat lexi went in to be spayed they spoke to me about everything could see I was nervous and reassured me, they even washed her blanket after she had an accident but didn't draw any attention to this I didn't know until she went in for her check up and the nurse said oh fantastic she got her blanket back. It was also found lexi had an infection they treated this promptly. Lexi also struggled after her op when she was at home and didn't eat or drink, luckily the vet did a 24 hour courtesy call and when I explained they brought her in and thoroughly checked her over including a second opinion to be sure before giving her extra pain relief which did the trick. My second cat However is very poorly I found lumps on her stomach so she's currently having ongoing tests and visits and honestly I can't thank the vets enough so far, they are all so understanding informative and very reassuring the care they've shown my cats puts me at ease and I have every faith in them. I understand not everyone has a positive experience but I've not had a single negative thing so far. I would never take my cats anywhere else. I see people complain about costs but this is the price of owning a pet and honestly I think costs are reasonable and considering the care your pets receive its highly worth it. I'd also like to add how clean the place is immaculate I'd say and I like that the waiting area for cats and dogs is separate to reduce stress. Thankyou everyone at pet vet your all fantastic.

Negative experience: Not worthy of 1 star but you have to select 1 to write review. I would not recommend this vet in any circumstances and like many have already stated in these reviews and elsewhere, they are only interested in money.Our situation was we phoned days in advance for a specific lump removal on our dog and at that time they were informed of size, density placement etc. I gave them details to ensure they were primed and could decide whether this was something they could manage. I was told that I’d need a consultation and I requested an experienced vet and on asking specifics about quals and experience these were avoided.Our dog is not young so obviously we wanted the best treatment especially if he was going to have to have an operation.On visiting which was a Saturday, the vet in question – Victoria - walked up to us, no smile, no introduction nothing so clearly this upset the dog as he could sense her animosity and unfriendly nature. In the end I had to ask who she was as there was not label or badge on her scrubs. In the consultation room despite the dog being muzzled she was reluctant to touch him despite me telling the receptionist on making the appt his breed (German Shepherd) etc when I was assured the vet would be ok. The vet stood behind him obviously making him more anxious, made no attempt to crouch, give titbits or any of the other normal and expected competent actions of a vet to befriend and reassure any animal. She didn’t touch the lump to pulsate it, didn’t measure it etc. She didn’t take his heart rate – absolutely the most appalling ‘consultation’ so I told her I wasn’t going to pay in the consultation room as I was really upset that they’d wasted my time when I’d been so thorough on the phone. I asked to see someone more senior or practice mgr but no one there so they’re obviously cutting back of costs there too. They are now chasing me for the consultation fee and threatening legal action, I’ve escalated to RSCV and others as the vet was completely incompetent and had no professional manners or skills but despite us being experienced over many decades – it is our fault – deflection and denial typical of this sort of practice. This type of practice is the sort where people end up putting their beloved animals to sleep because of the costs they quote and incompetence they show. Their consultation fee was £55 so £20 more than most in the area which also corroborates their money-making focus. Nobody minds paying for a quality service which they were clearly forewarned about, but to have a so called vet be so incompetent and miserable to clients is totally unacceptable. She couldn’t even answer basic questions + who would be doing the operation if we did decide to go ahead. This Vets company profess to understand what pets mean to people but you wouldn’t let your child or elderly relative have an operation without detailed knowledge and assurance they were in competent hands and it is no different with a dog who is precious. Do not use this vet unless you’re very desperate, even on Trustpilot 90% are 1 star reviews many noting as we did that they're only interested in money. Addendum: after receiving response below against my better judgement I thought I'd give Natalie a chance but was met with hostility and denial- much the same as Victoria (vet) so it seems to be their bullying culture also seen in she thought she could talk over me when she knew little of the facts and I was even refused the surname of the Head Vet which can be easily found elsewhere so the note below not genuine in any manner.They've also breached Data Protection twice so that's been reported. A shambles of a place.

Negative experience: This practice disregards all their policies on transparency on pricing estimates, have charged me for the dearest treatment they could in the begin of my dogs treatment, I been charged through them and with their advice over £500.00 for a simple water infection that my dog has never had before. I have complained but the Vet in question is no longer there. Everything was explained to me so they say in less than 6 minutes. I’m supposed to have agreed to all the treatments but they can’t find my signature on any agreement. It took 3 attempts to get my invoice. Although I’m over 60 and disabled no 10% was offered. Extended payment option or interest free payments not explained. The treatment was priced piece meal, so as not to go over The £500.00 mark in one go,although they said the treatment is their prescribed way but they can’t give an estimate. Have gone through their complaints procedure but they refuse to go to ARBITRATION, so that says it all. This practice says one thing and then ignores their written code of practice, if your old disabled and trust the medical professionals go elsewhere, because these people are not to be trusted. Before using this company would suggest you read the reviews on TRUSTPILOT. Dear Natalie You have all my contacts on record, try the phone which your complaints department at Doncaster refuse to use.

Positive experience: I recently needed to order and collect flea and worming tablets for my cat. I was told I would get an email/text once they were ready for collection. Previously, updates to come and collect have generally not happened. But on this occasion, after a few days I rang up Pet Vet because I hadn't received the courtesy text, or so I thought. We realised that the prompt to collect was sent to a phone I don't use much any more since earlier this year. The receptionist then recorded my new contact details.

Fantastic experience: My cat is the least co-operative cat at the vets, but every vet I've had there have been very careful with her. They explain treatment very well and their bedside manner is great. I've had to send two samples in and got the results only a couple of hours later. Fantastic experience: We brought my dog Spice into the vets after she had started being sick and refused to eat or drink. It turns out Spice had a corn on the cob lodged in her intestine and required surgery to remove it. Spice’s recovery was turbulent and on many occasions we thought we were going to have to say goodbye to her, but the amazing staff at the Pet Vet Lincoln truly saved her life. From the quick thinking of the veterinary surgeon to open her up and see what the problem was to the love and care she received from the other vets and nurses all together ensured that our daft but gentle and loving dog is still with us today and we are all so grateful. She is home, getting lots of cuddles and slowly getting back to her happy and bouncy self. Thank you all so much from Spice’s mum, dad and sisters!

Fantastic experience: Just been for one of my regular visits to the vet. As usual Claire was friendly, helpful and efficient. Unfortunately I do not like the new idea of reception. I understand it is at all the other places but I do not think it is as friendly. Ok so we have a safe place for "other pets" but the receptionist have to stand all day. I much preferred the desk as another review said there was somewhere to put your purse down, and to sign a form . I know it won't change now but I wanted to register my disappointment. The girls on reception are brilliant as usual, I just feel sorry for them standing all day.

Fantastic experience: Although I’ve always rated the practice 5 stars and continue to appreciate the care and professionalism of the staff, I was disappointed with the new layout of the reception area. The design does not feel user-friendly. For example, it is quite inconvenient when handling a dog, as there is no space to place your purse while making a payment or to set down health books or paperwork. It also feels less welcoming overall, despite the staff being friendly and helpful as always. Additionally, I couldn’t help but notice that staff are now required to stand all day. In a time when many companies are working to make workplaces more comfortable and supportive, this change seems like a step in the opposite direction. Comfortable and happy staff are essential to a positive experience and help retain loyal clients. I hope you’ll take this feedback into consideration.

Fantastic experience: I’ve given the 5 stars to the staff, vets, nurses, receptionists etc. As for the management I wouldn’t be so generous. When you walk in there was the receptionist desk with two positions & the ability for a third. The staff are excellent, they deal with you as quickly as possible & always so helpful. So much to my dismay when I went today the desk had gone & been replaced with a single podium with a touch screen tablet. This means only one person can be dealt with at a time, whereas before it could be up to three. There’s not even any space for the customer to sign or fill in forms etc. I feel so sorry for the reception staff who work hard enough as it is, this is going to make it so much harder for them. Can’t believe somebody thought this was progress !!!!!

Fantastic experience: We've been taking our puppy to The Pet Vet in Lincoln and couldn't be happier with the care we've received. From our very first visit, the team has been incredibly helpful, understanding, and reassuring. Fantastic experience: It’s taken me a few weeks to write this review but it is absolutely deserved. In December, I noticed my exotic hedgehog had a large mass on her stomach. I called up and was given an appointment very quickly and brought her in. The vet was wonderful, compassionate, and helpful. She suggested a few options, and was able to accommodate a minimally invasive procedure to test some fluid from the mass. I left her there for the procedure and waited for news. Within 20 minutes I had a phone call with a new set of suggestions following visual on the fluids. We decided to give her a chance and try removing the mass. She went straight in to remove the mass same day. I waited, and after an hour I very heartbreakingly got a call to say that they had successfully removed the tumour but that Bumble would not wake up from anaesthesia. They had tried everything but simply could not bring her back. It was a shock and very upsetting but every single member of staff upon my return were kind, compassionate, patient and respectful. Bumble was given back to me tucked up in her bed. Despite the heartbreaking outcome, I cannot fault the staff at all. Their kindness, expertise and dedication to helping my pet was second to none. I am so grateful to them for trying to do what they could in a difficult situation. Thank you x

Fantastic experience: I've been using The Pet Vet since February when we got our kitten. They've been really great with our kitten, lovely friendly staff and very patient! The treatments are reasonably priced and we did join the care plan, so even better! The communication and reminders have been super useful to. Fantastic experience: My first visit to this vets was brilliant even before I got there, first I received a phonecall a few days before to explain the procedure (2 cats spraying). then on the day when I checked the cats in the lady on reception was lovely The waiting area was big and separated for different animals, the cat area had calming blankets incase your cat was getting stressed. In the consultant room they advised me of the options and extras they offer without any hard sell and not being pushy and also gave advice to keep the cost to a minimum They phoned me just before the cat procedure after the pre-op welfare check then a gain after to explain that everything went well and both cats were ok. At the follow up appointment they were kind and caring given good advice and didn't try and sell me anything, (been to other vets before where the just say you need this and need that as you see the costs go through the roof only to find out after that you didn't actually need them) Overall the vets were kind, caring and friendly Gave low cost option Keep you updated regarding procedure Didn't try and sell services.

Fantastic experience: My kitten has just recently had surgery and the staff have been amazing. After leaving the practice we had to call them and go back for a different pet vest, they were so good about it all, a lovely nurse came and fitted it even though it was quite late in the evening. Fantastic experience: Really friendly and understanding staff that don’t judge or try to force other non legal requirement procedures on you, very knowledgeable and quick to answer the phone for your enquiry. Always had a great experience and felt like I am really valued as well as valuing my family pet member. Really laid back in consultation rooms and not invasive to the animal, allowing them to roam and investigate so they feel calm rather than scared. Prices are also extremely fair when compared to other veterinary practices. Fantastic experience: Brought my kitten for his first jabs and following a leg injury, got me an appointment the following morning which was good. You can tell the staff love the animals - especially the lady on reception whom I'm sure would have taken Yuki home given the chance!! It's more than a job to them. Fantastic experience: Cannot thanks The Vet Pet enough. Very content happier Rocket after his little last minute rushed vacation to the vets Wednesday night, he might need operation in January to grind his back teeth down as there a sharp piece causing him pain which stressed him out to stop pooping and eating. Wednesday night he had immediate treatment of intravenous drip of fluids and pain medication on top of oral pain medications and antibiotics. Watched over night by a lovely nurse and syringe feed three times over night and made sure he drinking. I cannot thank the vet mr J C and the nurse on shift at The Pet Vet Lincoln enough for making sure Rocket got the best care possible he definitely back to his spirited ways. His brother Smokey was over joyed to see him Thursday afternoon when he returned home.

Fantastic experience: Recently moved to Pet Vet Lincoln and within first week we had to have our Irish Setter in for teeth descale and biopsy in mouth. The service was outstanding really friendly and obliging staff . Communication is excellent really happy we decided to move and extremely happy our dog has the best care. Highly Recommended

Fantastic experience: Brought both our kittens in for their first nail trim as they're house cats and we were really impressed with how efficiently, confidently and kindly they were dealt with. Even the fiestier of the two was cheerfully distracted the whole time and behaved perfectly throughout as a result.

Fantastic experience: Best vets you could ask for! My rescue cat absolutely hates his carrier, but the team at Pet Vets always goes above and beyond to make his visits as stress-free as possible. Fantastic experience: A friendly and welcoming practice. Love the fact you are open at weekends too. So many vets seem to be closed at weekends and leave us to rely on out of hours Vets Now service which is extortionately priced charging over £100 before you even walk through the door. Your service is amazing and caring please don't ever change. My pets love you and so do I.

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, better priced than other vets in the area. They took good care of my fur baby during his surgery, and the after care has been great. Also open on a Saturday and Sunday which is incredible

Positive experience: Unfortunately for the last couple of times I came here I had to wait minimum 30m (despite booking an appointment). They seem to be short on staff specially over the weekends. Other than that the service is good. One other comment - maybe it’s not just these guys, but £450 for a routine teeth cleaning with no extractions or anything complicated seems shocking.

Fantastic experience: I went to the pet vet to get my cat Misty-moon spayed I was very anxious about her having an operation but the staff at the pet vet put my mind at ease Misty-moon received excellent treatment and the day after the pet vet even called to see how she was doing I couldn't be happier with how they treat myself and my cat and would highly recommend them to anyone

Fantastic experience: Excellent staff and great advice on every aspect of caring for our new puppy. Nothing is too much and everyone is always so happy to help. I was concerned about trying a new vet when we got our new puppy but I definitely made the right decision.

Fantastic experience: The vet was really good with my puppy and was really patient as he is so affectionate. The surgery is clean and there are different waiting areas for cats and dogs. Teddy is registered in Sheffield and we were in Lincoln and they saw to him straight away. Very impressed.

Negative experience: I cannot recommend the Pet Vet Lincoln. Their medical inexperience has resulted in my dogs ongoing suffering with multiple medical issues as a result. There are so many issues I cannot list them all. However, just a few highlights include: -One of the the vets telling me my dog is attention seeking when he screamed in pain, shortly after he was diagnosed with IMPA. As well as not giving my 14.5 year old dog a proper checkover when he fell down a flight of stairs. -Regularly ordering the wrong medications, or simply forgetting to order them; meaning my dog relapsed on his auto immune issue because they didn't get it in in time. This is a huge problem at the pet vet that they struggle to overcome consistently. -Forgetting to run tests while he was under, and me having to chase them for the fact they didn't do those tests. They had no intention of telling me on discharge and told me i'd receive the wrist x ray results...its only me chasing them that got the fact they didn’t do any wrist x rays! The above meant the tests they managed to remember to do were clinically irrelevent, but they still feel they should charge me for £1000 worth of unnecessary tests they opted to run. As they did random x rays not agreed to and discounted me only a small amount of those. Evidence attached seeing as they acused me of lying last time claiming they told me on discharge they hadnt done his wrist x rays. -Staff on Reception breaching GDPR rules. -When i requested my dogs medication. With his name, medication and my address. The receptionist asked my if it was for marley or ollie or arkle. Consdering Marley and Ollie had recently passed away this was deeply upsetting. I had spoon fed them every inch of information as I know they would make mistakes, so to ask that was outrageous. - I had to tell several staff to actually engage with my dog if they were going to insist on taking him out back for simple tests. That dragging him was NOT appropriate for any dog, never mind one with physical medical issues! This could have been avoided by doing most tests in front of me. And having any compassion for animals, after all, who drags dogs across slippy flooring? Arkle became hysterical in the presence of the Pet Vet in the end. -Prices quoted were very rarely accurate and you have to keep a very close eye on them. If your lucky to get quotes. Arkle's health has hugely improved at another local practice who have treated him as he should have been from day 1. He LOVES them and happily trots in, takes food, and no longer urinates on sight of staff in a vet practice- which says everything. At no point have they advised I consider euthanasia at some point either, they instead did the treatment options required to improve his health, that costed pennies. My dog could have been healthier 18 months ago. See below me having to chase up re his wrist x rays because they didnt plan on telling me they'd not done them despite multiple attempts of asking them. It was not done on discharge as they previously attempted to lie about on here. It is also NOT a goodwill gesture to only charge me some of the money for a group of tests i hadn't agreed to. Edited in response to reply. I look forward to hearing the results of such investigations. Still no apology from the vet who didn't do the right tests. No apology for the catalogue of chaos. I think it says it all. Update; Sept /24 still no evidence of any review of all of this or any investigation Will be taking further action.
