From quick visits for vaccines, and puppy socialisation, to full blown surgery and after care, and even being there at the very end Absolutely faultless for us for over 15y: wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Negative experience: WORST hospital ever, AVOID.rude staff, no emphaty, just look after you money. Keep your fur love, away from them. My little one was kept on really cold place. Next day when i pick him up, was so stressed, they wrap around his belly a bandage and they expect to do his bussiness like this. The vet surgeon, Heather, the most rude person in the world and no emphaty. ALL STAFF DOESNT CARE FOR YOUR COMPANION. AVOID, AVOID,AVOID !!!!!!

Positive experience: Nice vets, like all vets it is expensive but no other crictism! Staff are all really nice and polite. Waiting area and consultation rooms are clean.

Fantastic experience: Attended out of hours this evening for our 10 year old boy (cat) previously attended Hebburn where he was initially treated. He had urinary blockage and unfortunately blocked again. While I was worried about the OOH vet bills it was worth every penny to know he was not suffering. Receptionist was friendly and empathetic. The vet was lovely and I couldn't have asked for better. We were allowed time with our precious baby in his final moments. I don't feel robbed of anything. If you are debating please don't hesitate. Yes, the whole bill was £501.00 ( without any cremation or additional things we didn't require) but we feel blessed he was in good hands at his final hour. We were with him until the end. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: This is an excellent veterinary clinic. The professionals here are truly outstanding, very attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile for the well-being of pets. We recently had an experience with our dog where they even consulted other clinics and professionals to help with the diagnosis, which showed how dedicated and thorough they are. Communication has always been excellent (they kept calling us with updates and additional information), and the veterinarians are genuinely caring and committed to the animals. Our dogs mean the world to us, and it is such a relief and a blessing to know they are treated with so much kindness and professionalism here. We are very grateful for the care and attention given to our little ones.

Fantastic experience: I've been coming to Blythman and Partners for a few years now for multiple pets and I've received fantastic service each time. All the staff are extremely friendly, competent and compassionate when needed. I've always managed to get an appointment within a few hours with very little cost and always feel welcomed.

Fantastic experience: We normally use the Wallsend practice but had to take one of our cats to Gosforth as it was out of hours, and we were really impressed with the vet we saw there. We've found sometimes the vets at the Wallsend one can be quite dismissive and aren't really interested in answering our questions, but Poppy at the Gosforth one was amazing. She took the time to explain all the possible reasons for our cat's symptoms as well as treatment options, and was happy to answer all of our questions and suggest food options going forward. We're likely to now make Gosforth our regular vet now despite Wallsend being closer, as we just found the vet seemed so much more interested in helping and making sure we understood everything.

Fantastic experience: We normally visit a different branch but came here for our last vaccination. The staff was really friendly, we were served promptly after arrival, great accommodating attitude.

Positive experience: Pros: Convenient location and able to get a same day appointment Cons: Clinically I lack faith in the vet we saw. They presumed our dog had a torn CCL. They quoted us £1000 for X-rays and examination under anaesthesia and £4000 for a surgical procedure. We were obviously shocked at the cost. We later found two other surgeries willing to do the same surgical procedure AND X-rays for a combined £2300. It later turned out from visits to two separate vets to get second opinions that there was in fact no suggestion at all of a torn ligament. We ended up paying £425 for aesthetic and X-rays... nearly £600 less than what Blythman's quoted, and in the process avoided the need for surgery. As someone who runs my own business I understand that running a business is expensive, but having such huge discrepancies in prices is verging on extortionate. I won't be returning to Blythman's.

Fantastic experience: Oliver and I love coming to the vets. Every staff member is the loveliest I’ve ever encountered, from reception to doctor we have never received less than the above and beyond. All concerns are always taken under consideration, any worry is always talked through with patience and empathy. The online website is amazing for checking in on any appointments new and old, I can keep track and record his weight progression, and it’s easy to use for any information needed including receipts for insurance. The Wellness Plan they offer helps cut routine costs and has ultimately saved us a lot of money in areas we didn’t even consider. The receptionist are always lovely and help with the most efficiency, alongside veterinarian nurses and doctors who have a clear love for the animals they take care of. I follow them on social media also, and I love to see the joy they put into their work, as well as any events they have such as the monthly puppy club. Honestly, I sound like I’m advertising for them but I’m just so confident this is the right vet for anyone who loves their pets, I know Oliver is in safe hands with them and that is all you can ask for when having to visit a vet 10/10

Fantastic experience: I've had pets treat here on quite a few times, they even managed to save my daughter's hamster Doris,the place is so clean ,the staff always lovely ,and they actually do love animals ,they're very fair and that's becoming increasingly obvious,with COL and the shutting of family/,small business,just another statistic! But no they do love all creatures and I've never had a bad experience there and the safest I felt leaving an animal as they are on site 24 hours and an extensive knowledge too, and professional friendly staff who will do their best to allay any worries or concerns you may have , excellent ❤️

Negative experience: We are not registered at Blythmans but sadly our beautiful Jasper was struck by a car around midnight and was taken here. The night nurse was very clinical both on the phone and in person, she showed no empathy or even expressed any condolences. She did not ring us to tell us he had been brought in and said this was because she didn't think we would have noticed he was missing. When I called she did not tell me he had passed on the phone and when I said my husband and I were on the way she said 'He doesn't look good I really wouldn't' When we arrived she said she didn't want us to remember him looking that way, when my husband then asked if that meant he had already gone she said 'Oh yes sorry he's dead' In the room, she told us she would give us a minute but then told us about the next steps and listed off crematorium and the fees

Fantastic experience: I’ve found this practise to have a great reception team and veterinarians that treat my dog Blue(prone to seizures) with care ensuring his visits are manageable and he responds well to being handled as he has a history of being difficult. They’ve been excellent with sharing information and results from tests. Would highly recommend this practise based on the experienced professional and caring staff.

Fantastic experience: Great to be at a puppy class, missed this with my last pup due to Covid! The small class was ideal for building confidence of Darius and allowed each pup to get plenty of opportunity to meet and greet. Advice was useful: even as an experienced dog owner of over 30 years, there were still helpful points to refresh my memory and boost my confidence.

Fantastic experience: Attended a puppy party which was really great for socialising pup before she is able to go out and meet other dogs. Our pup is confident as we have other dogs at home but she really enjoyed meeting other pups. All of the puppies seemed to be more confident by the end of the session. I would defo recomend if your pup hasnt got other dogs at home. Its a good chance to also ask any questions you may have about your pup.

Fantastic experience: Always have an amazing visit with Blythmans all my dogs are well looked after the staff go above and beyond every time and Anna is amazing woth my oldest boy Bob-dog he absolutely adores her and she's always so thorough all the staff are amazing I wouldn't use any other vet thank you all for everything

My daughter did she felt really comfortable allowing them to look after her puppy their so 5* I on the other hand hated the location, no parking , so stressful driving around looking for somewhere to park watching the minutes tick away getting nearer and nearer to appointments time . Then kicking my daughter and puppy out so I could find parking. So location 0* vet practice 5* Thank you for your reply Maybe as people make appointments this could be advised . Fantastic experience: We unfortunately had to quickly arrange the euthanasia of our beautiful old boy Rhydian and from our first call the staff were very sympathetic and understanding. We arranged a paw print and a lovely veterinary nurse ( sorry we didn’t get your name) offered to drop it in to us the same afternoon after she finished work. She talked to my wife for a few minutes and again was very understanding for our loss. We both would like to thank the team and especially the nurse for her kind gesture.

Negative experience: Only vets we've ever been registered with where we felt the priority was making money rather than caring for your pet. Felt uncomfortably close to upselling when discussing treatment options, focus seemed to be the amount of money they could get out of you rather than clinical need.

Fantastic experience: Always a welcoming atmosphere from reception staff and a very efficient service. All staff are friendly, caring and very knowledgeable and take time to explain various options and treatments available. Appointments are available across the entire week and a 24 hour service if needed - better than some GPs!

Negative experience: Had a terrible experience at the Wallsend branch this evening. I would not recommend this vet. They don't send reminders as promised and fail to inform you about additional charges. Extremely disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Both myself and Ziggy had a great evening meeting 3 other puppies and their owners. It was nice to share our experiences of being puppy parents and reassuring that we are having similar experiences with our new fur babies! The whole event was facilitated by the very experienced and friendly Chloe (I hope I’ve remembered her name correctly) who gave us loads of info, some of which I’ve managed to remember! She handled the puppies (and their parents) superbly and I would have no hesitation in contacting her should I have a problem as I have complete confidence in her expertise. Ziggy loved meeting other puppies and the treats went down well too. The gifts of a party bag filled with treats, info and a bag of food were gratefully received and the Certificate of attendance was the icing on the cake. Ziggy was shattered after her first party. Negative experience: This is more a warning about the Canigen KC vaccine in flat faced pets like our Frenchie was than a review on this vets and if I reach just one person then our puppy's life won't have been in vain. We took our 10 week old puppy to this vets for his 2nd vaccination and was specifically told by the breeder not to let the vets push anything else on to us as they have a habit of getting out of you what they can. I told the vet we only wanted the 2nd vaccination but she informed me he should have the Canigen KC vaccine as it's for being around big groups of dogs and kennels etc (our dog would have never needed to be in a kennel or been in a large group of dogs) so I felt obliged for him to have it. Because of this he inadvertently had the KC symptoms and in doing so vomited and then inhaled which gave him pneumonia. He was in the veterinary hospital 4 nights and then had to be put down. The staff were great in looking after him but I feel if hadn't had that vaccine that the breeder said he didn't need our puppy would be here today. If you have a Frenchie, pug or bulldog please think long and hard if you dog really needs that vaccine and don't let the vets make you feel your pet needs it if you're unsure. Do the research first.

Fantastic experience: Rang up to say that my dog had ripped his dew claw (repeat offender) was given appointment straight away went to surgery and was treated straight away staff reception and medical always friendly and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant vets - I've currently got two elderly pets under their care and I can't praise them enough. Staff are all friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Would definitely recommend.

Negative experience: I specifically asked for my cat to not be cremated as he was my mental health support animal and I wanted to give him a proper burial, Blythmans were careless and cremated him anyway. This was incredibly emotionally upsetting and they took away my chance to say goodbye to him properly. I wouldn’t recommend this vet. They also were silent and unapologetic when they had to confess to their mistake, we were all heart broken and so disappointed.

Fantastic experience: I honestly can't rate Blythmans enough. I moved to Blyth and I still take my bunnies to gosforth surgery. Anna and Jaz are both worth their weight in gold and have helped my bunnies past and present in so many ways. No other vets compare and I've tried them all. From eye cysts, tooth abcesses, dentals, respitory problems and going over the bridge they both have been experienced, caring and compassionate with all my bunnies and I love how they work with you and help. Bunnies are complex animals so it's refreshing to have vets that can help! Thank you all so much and a special mention to brenda also, who has been supportive and lovely over the years.

Fantastic experience: Changed vets after staying with the same one for 14 years with 2 dogs but became increasingly dissatisfied so chose Blythman with my 3rd boy as its an independent vets and I can honestly say so far I’m very impressed, my boy needed boas surgery and castration everything went smoothly the procedures were explained fully and put me at ease, I phoned later in the evening once he was home and again lots of reassurance and was told I could take him see a vet if I felt I needed to, I didn’t as it happens but having the offer was great, he has 2 follow up appointments booked in and they rang me today to see how I thought he was, eating , drinking etc I also liked the fact he was at their surgery that does the operating etc so booked straight in no waiting around in cage etc for vets as has been my experience in the past so far highly recommend

Negative experience: Do not use these vets they gave my dog the wrong medication and if I hadn't noticed they would have killed my dog.BE WARNED!!!

Fantastic experience: Blythman and partners were recommended by a friend who had been to see them with similar symptoms to what my dog was showing. I called them when my dog had blood in his urine as well as other symptoms and the lady on reception was lovely and managed to get me an appointment next day. At the vets, everyone was great and really friendly. They checked him over and did a urine and blood test - I got both results within about 30 minutes and they prescribed him some antibiotics and anti-inflammatoires. After 12 days of taking these my dog was back to his usual self. The whole process was really smooth and extremely reasonably priced compared to previous vets I’ve used. Definitely recommend and will be using them again.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely wonderful practice with caring staff and high quality care <3 Our little dog recently became very sick, needing a 5 day stay in the vet hospital and extensive management afterwards with a feeding tube to build her strength back up. We’ve interacted with a wide variety of the staff regularly over the past 2 or so weeks including nurses, vets, and the reception staff, and they were all incredibly kind during what was a very difficult time for us. Our dog is now back home with us and healing well, and I’m so grateful that she was given a fighting chance by the quality care she received <3

Fantastic experience: After my partner and I rescued our Lurcher, Arlo, last week from Cleadon Kennels I called to get him booked in for his booster jabs and health check. Was so easy to get booked in, and I was super pleased that the practice is still as friendly and through as previously used when my parents had their dog Misty at the Whitburn branch, again another rescue from Cleadon. Arlo was seen by a lovely vet, Heather, who reassured our nervous boy, and booked us in for a telephone consultation with one of the nurses who specialises in behaviour re his separation anxiety. We signed him up to the practice plan while the consultation was in progress, and he got his flea/worming tablets as well. Cannot fault the service from the team and we’ll always recommend Blythman and Partners to anyone we know. Thank you!
