Negative experience: A litany of poor service, lack of duty of care and extortion of the situation. Was even charged £80 for a referral which couldn't offer the service required. If you care about the health of your pet, avoid this place.

Fantastic experience: I have been using this vets for over 20 years and have never had any complaints. They are always very friendly and have time to listen to my concerns. They have treated Archie with immunotherapy since he was a tiny puppy 9 years ago and now with eye ulcers too.. Our Maine coon cats have always just popped in to say hi and be weighed. All the vets are amazing.

Negative experience: Really need to spend some of their cash on updating the tiled floors for older dogs. Wouldn’t open the side door and said it was bolted (get a key then) made me carry my Charlie through reception and he collapsed on gravel drive and the vet just walked back in and left us, with no offer of assistance. Never seen this vet here and shocked being honest. Took Charlie in two weeks ago with onset of condition and there was no follow up call to see how he was . Also didn’t have a good experience putting my 24 year old cat to sleep in January- I wasn’t even given a chance to hold her. Charged £109 for £50 referral to specialist and just to see Charlie and leave him on the gravel collapsed.

Positive experience: The vets are amazing and are beyond 5 STARS everyday truly !!! Their care for the animals is impeccable. However, it’s really time for a change with the reception staff. I think there may be someone struggling with hearing and being assertive and efficient. Phone calls are very often difficult. People are having to explain things over and over again for “some” receptionists to still not “get” the request. (I don’t wish to hurt somebodies feelings) If it’s a straight booking appointment fine(ish) but add any complication or deviation and nope! I’ve personally experienced it and heard it in person in clinic too. :(

Fantastic experience: The Barn Vets have been wonderful at looking after our beloved dog Poppy for almost 15 years. They were sensitive and kind when we had to make the heart breaking decision to have her put to sleep, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others.

Fantastic experience: Our dog needed consultation, xray and op which were all carried out on a Saturday in quick succession. Brilliant service.

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, welcoming vets practice. I've used them for several years with numerous pets and they have always provided me and my pets with a good service and looked after them well. I subscribe to their monthly plan for my dog which covers the cost of regular flea/worming treatment and her annual vaccination boosters. They take the time to care for your pet, I have a highly strung labrador and the last vet we saw took the time to try and calm her before the vacc was given and suggested medical help for her stress/anxiety levels which we are now trying. I could see the care she was giving my dog and it was lovely, not rushing and lots of great advice. Highly recommended practice.

Positive experience: Excellent service from vets, however charging £50 for a 5-10 minute consultation on top of any medication needed is expensive

Negative experience: My first time at the barn copdock ..I normal go to Ashcroft practice..But I must say the vet who my beloved Bella (a corgie/jack Russel called Bella is under has been lovely she realised I was quite distraught &she treated me so kind ..thanks Grayling .

Fantastic experience: Very professional, friendly vets and staff members, very rarely not be able to get an appointment quickly when needed. The Copdock practice is situated in a lovely area with grass and space for the dogs can relieve themselves before or after the visit.

Fantastic experience: I can't praise The Barn Vets in Wenham highly enough. Everybody working there are very friendly and very knowledgeable. My dog (Cooper) was very calm during her consultation. Five star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Negative experience: So booked an appointment for them to see my pet regarding an issue, didn’t have a look and had a 2 minute chat suggesting to give it a few days and coming back if still an issue. Still charged £50 for an appointment where they didn’t touch him! Disgusting service and will be speaking with RCVS!

Fantastic experience: The staff welcomed us and the pups, helping to get them into the consultation room and making ready for vaccination a chipping. All went really smoothly and none of the pups were frightened or alarmed so future visits should be stress free…hopefully with no painful memories. Fantastic experience: We were given an emergency appointment to attend from the Barn Ashcroft rd vets and the receptionist was concerned when we didn’t arrive at our appointment time. She phoned us and guided us there. Our consultation was excellent and the care for Bailey our 14 yr old dog who had fell and we thought he had broken a leg. The female Vet was excellent and we were told about the care and meds for him for 3 days then if no better to return. We are impressed with this survey as well asking about our experience. Negative experience: Well we have had a few days to take in the loss of our loved cat and we found this practice was not what we thought when they told us how bad our cats injury’s were we were advised to have him put to sleep we 100% asked to keep him sedated until we could say our good byes but this practice decided no after saying yes you can come and say good bye knowing he would be able to here our voices when we turned up just wanted to know how we were going to pay then gave us our cat in a box’s and get rid of us and trying to say we got it wrong not them no sympathy no condolences nothing a total disgrace

Negative experience: My recent experience of the Barn Vets at Copdock has left our family devastated. Our 6-year-old dog was taken in as an emergency and the practice reacted quickly to see him and provide painkillers for which we were very grateful. I became increasingly worried when he continued to refuse food and water for days and had started vomiting. I called and returned him to the vet with these concerns which were quickly dismissed as a reaction to the painkiller. He was given an anti-nausea injection and different painkillers and told it was too much of a coincidence. Again, I was assured he was not dehydrated. No further tests were done. Then everything started to deteriorate very quickly with emergency calls over the weekend leading to the eventual diagnosis that his kidneys were failing. Nothing could be done at this time, and we lost him. I have had to conclude that nothing could have been done to save him as it is too painful to consider any other outcome, however I cannot forgive the lack of care and professionalism provided that led to the final days of his life. I would strongly urge any owner to reconsider before placing their trust in this practice. Mrs Anja Cartwright - November 2022
