Fantastic experience: Visited the Vet in a Van with my 2 cats for routine annual checks and saw Paul and his assistant Lauren. We have been using this wonderful independent vet practice in Longridge since around 1995 but have only recently stated to take advantage of the mobile Vet in a Van service. What a fantastic initiative as it’s convenient and completely equipped for virtually everything. Consistently excellent care and treatment as always. I imagine if you have a timid pet it’s ideal to simply pull up immediately outside and pop in to see the vet without your pet having to encounter any other pets. Can’t praise them enough. Thank you as always

Fantastic experience: Levi has just been treated at the van in Clitheroe by Nigel and Lauren. What a superb job they did. Levi, being a Collie, was quite frightened but they calmly reassured him. Fantastic experience: This isn't our usual vet practice as we had to travel 40 mins due to our CKCS girl Bella needing a dental x-ray and extensive work carried out. Upon arriving, we were greeted by the vet Freya, who was very welcoming and soon put our nervous little girl at ease with plenty of cuddles. She can easily get stressed out when visiting the vets, but all the staff we met are really friendly and professional. Excellent communication and updates throughout the day. I would highly recommend anyone (especially nervous dogs) to use Longridge Vets if you want a personal service that none of the larger chain of vets can match.

Fantastic experience: I’m cant recommending Longridge vets enough! Reasonable pricing, definitely care. We have four dogs and we also Foster. They look after all our dogs and our foster dogs, even put up with four Pugs and a Frenchie all at once for their vaccinations without raising an eyebrow and that’s got to be recognised. It’s a 45 minute drive from home on a good day, and worth every minute. Well done, vets like this are few and far between.

All the vets and staff top rate. Their care for our dog after a nasty attack was immediate and superb. Our opinions about the whole practice just keep getting better. It's the first practice to figure out longstanding issues for both our dog and our aging cat.

Fantastic experience: We chose longridge vets to spay our dog as our vets do not do the key hole spay. Usually our very anxious labrador is a nervous wreck at the vets but from arriving she was calm and all members of staff were friendly and welcoming. We will now be using this vets even though its a 30 min drive from our house. You can tell they have a genuine love for animals.

Negative experience: Been going to Longridge vets for a few years, approx two years ago our Yorkshire terrier developed a bad cough and honking after each coughing session. We were told it was a heart problem and given medication which he as been taking for over two years. After researching this so called heart problem we decided to get a second opinion, turns out he as Bronchitis not a heart problem. So my dog as been taking tablets for two years which did not do anygood whatsoever but made him lethargic tired and miserable, now he is a different dog and had the bronchitis been spotted sooner it could have been cured. He needs to take steroids now for life thanks to not being diagnosed correctly.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant! Every single member of staff is friendly, patient and welcoming. They take concerns seriously, examine thoroughly, and explain everything. They also do not recommend unnecessary treatment like some other (big chain) vets. Best vet I have ever been to. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: The best vets we have ever been to. We have been coming to Longridge Vets for a few years now, and I always recommend and praise them to everyone. My dog has always been a little nervous going to vets in the past, but since going to Longridge Vets, he is much more relaxed as all the staff are so friendly, kind and compassionate. From the first day they have always made him feel settled and at ease. They always do their best to help my dog, Smudge. I have so much confidence in them in looking after him and you can really tell all the staff love the animals/pets and are always so happy and friendly. They are always so thorough, detailed and helpful. Thank you so much for always taking care of Smudge on his many visits and always making him feel calm. He also regularly sees Grace who is always brilliant with him and we are always happy with the outcome of what she does for us and is so gentle and kind with Smudge. Fantastic experience: Our own Vet doesn't carry out the Lap Spay, so we read the reviews and Rae had her op last week, she wanted a walk and was back stealing slippers the next morning like nothing had happened. A week on and you can hardly tell, she has had No ill effects at all. The staff were so kind and the fact Rae couldn't wait to go in again today for her check up says it all. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Lap Spay and also Longridge Vets, well worth 5 stars. Thanks

Fantastic experience: My friend is registered with Longridge Vets, and they were outstanding, compassionate, understanding, and professional. They dealt with my friend's dog, who was 12 and in the final stage of old age, and made a very difficult decision easier to make with informed clarity, honesty and care at such a sad time. Exemplary at every stage. Words can't convey how grateful we are for how they made Louie ( chocolate labradoodle) çomfortable. They showed the utmost care, dignity, and empathy at this sad time. A difficult and sad decision was the right one.

Fantastic experience: My British bull dog went in for surgery today. I was more anxious than him. All staff welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Vet was so lovely with Bronson. Deffo use these again.

Fantastic experience: Friendly Independant vets, that care about the animal first, not how much they can get out of your insurance

Fantastic experience: Just went for microchipping but the veterinary nurses were helpful and informative and that made it a pleasant experience for me and my cat.

Fantastic experience: Took Harvey to see the vet nurse had a long dew claw to be trimmed, quick in and out. Harvey doesn't like his feet being touched and he gets a bit growly as most dogs do. Absolutely brilliant with him. I held him and job done. Even showed me where to snip for next time. Good vets for my dog at the moment as no complaints.

Fantastic experience: I cannot speak highly enough of Longridge Vets. A difficult few months eased somewhat by the exceptional care and kindness of Grace, Nigel, Beth and the whole team. My dog (and I!) has been cared for like a member of the family. I'm glad to have found Longridge Vets and i'm very grateful for their services.

Negative experience: Booked an appointment for 3 clear days to vaccinate puppies ahead of time and was sent a txt the day before claiming I’d missed the appointment, I didn’t miss the appointment as it’s 2 days until the initial date , If the vet is not working or understaffed then don’t cancel and blame a missed appointment WOULDNT recomend at all

Fantastic experience: This vets may be some distance away from my home, but it's worth travelling. I've used 2 other vets in the Leyland area, and as much as their facilities seem more modernised than Longridge vets, the care received and prices don't compare. The staff here genuinely care for your pet and don't want to unnecessarily charge you for things not needed. It's only quite small but there's parking, it's clean and medication readily available on site.

Positive experience: This really is an outstanding vet practice - they are so knowledgeable and the vets go above and beyond. Unfortunately the whole experience is ruined by a lady on reception who is rude and speaks to people as though she is above them. I'd like to point out that this isn't a one off and she has spoken to both myself and my husband in an awful tone more than once. We were told that this vet practice submits insurance claims on your behalf (i.e no payment needed at time and insurance will pay out). However, this receptionist has denied this whole process and has chased us for payment as though we are criminals. Apparently submitting a claim is just a "courtesy" and once it comes back rejected you will find that you get a lot of attitude from this one receptionist. Not helpful and not willing to try to help to resolve why it wasn't accepted.

Fantastic experience: Can't praise this place enough. Very happy to see me with a late emergency appointment for my cat, very knowledgeable and polite. Regardless of if my boy gets better, I know he's been given the best possible chance

Fantastic experience: I was very reluctant to go to a vet with my 20 year old cat, after going to a vets in Urmston during Covid and not being allowed in the vets surgery and being told he was aggressive and they couldnt take blood and he is old, have him put down. He is still a survivor 2 and a half years later. I had to book an appointment for him with Longridge Vets, due to his claw lodging in his paw pad and I could see he was in pain. I voiced my concerns about his anxiety and my anxiety before the appointment and I really can't fault the surgery, very kind, totally professional. The vet was wonderful, the veterniary nurse was also wonderful, she held my cat firmly but with love whilst he had to have his painful claw cut. It is ashame that the previous vet, didn't seem to be able to draw blood to test for thyroid problems and thought the best thing to do when my cat got stressed was to have him put down. Had I had this vet and this nurse take charge at the time then perhaps, my cat and I wouldn't be so anxious about going to the vets. Bravo!! Highly recommend them and will go again in a heartbeat.

Negative experience: I brought my rescued German shepherd in today who we have had for the past 5 years The young lady and vet who tended to Lexi were amazing and very sympathetic towards Lexi, myself and my husband.,that’s where it ends I’m afraid to say.We have always used Longridge vets for the past 30 years and have always had 5*treatment. After our visit today we left demoralised and extremely upset and felt that we where inadequate to provide care for our much loved family pet by the display of expressions and body language from the lady behind the counter , myself and my husband work hard to provide and should not be made to feel degraded by the ignorance to current financial climate. Will seriously contemplate whether to use them again

Whilst listening to owners concerns and experience. I can come across as arrogant and rude and often unintentionally say the wrong thing. However, Nigel took it with professionalism and understanding. Unlike my local vets. It's always worth going that extra mile (literally) when it's quality and experience you need. Highly recommended. Fantastic experience: Both vets I've met have been so so lovely. We went in yesterday and our vet was so gentle with our little dogs, he explained everything perfectly and seemed very positive and upbeat. Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic. Lola cut her leg open at 4:30pm on a Friday and they immediately accommodated an appointment with her before the weekend. Stitched back up excellently and sent on our way within the hour. Couldn’t believe how friendly and knowledgeable the staff were. 100% would go back (hopefully don’t have to!)
