Fantastic experience: I took my 15 year old dog here for the first time on Monday and by Tuesday he was already booked in for a heart scan and x-rays. The Vets were so lovely, explained everything clearly and made me feel at ease. Like I said I’ve never been here before but I trusted them with my boy. They have a good pet membership and also offer free first appointments which you don’t get very often. 10/10 recommend :)

Fantastic experience: My dog recently had a tooth removed. Sophie the nurse was really kind and caring when I got upset as I dropped her off to them. She kept me updated throughout the day of her progress, even sending me a photo to ease my mind. The vet was also lovely, explaining everything to me very clearly when we picked her up. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: I took my precious little 5-year-old cat here right before the new year as he was tired and not eating, and the vet completely missed how unwell he was! Suggested doing some tests (not even urgently!), when 3 days later his kidneys had completely shut down with a Creatinine level of 1000 and NLR of 20!! and we had to put him to sleep! I am so appalled by this as my baby could still be alive with us if the severity of his condition had been properly recognised and we were advised to take him to a hospital immediately!! The most important duty of any medical team is to recognise life threatening emergencies and this centre failed so very badly!

Fantastic experience: Jake and I have been quite frequent visitors of Pennards just of late for one reason or another, but the true testimony is from jake himself. He loves to visit the vets since coming to Pennars, even though he has had some visits which has meant he has reason to be cautious. The vets and nurses and also reception staff are always so welcoming, calm and great with him, which makes him want to visit even when he doesnt have to. (Even when they are closed) Thats how great they are. We are regulars of Maidstone branch. But have had a couple of visits to Langley and the staff there are equally as amazing. Highly recommend by us both. Couldn't ask for more from our vets. Thank you

Fantastic experience: Incredible. We went to Pennard due to our (what was) current vet had no vets on duty and our dog was bleeding from her mouth. We were greeted with professionalism and friendship it was as if we had known them for years. They understood our anxiety and our dogs fear. They kept us updated throughout surgery (dentistry) and even sent photos. We have now switched and Pennards is now our primary vet Thank you from the bottom of a stressed and anxious owner for making it as relaxed as possible.

Fantastic experience: Teddy’s went in as a miserable 11 year old cat with painful rotting teeth. He had lost a considerable amount of weight in recent months. He had an operation to remove 7 teeth and had 14 stitches in his mouth. Pennards staff were kind, informative and extremely efficient from identifying the problem, through the operation and with aftercare. He’s now eating well and enjoying his life in our home and garden again!

Fantastic experience: Matthew and Rianna provided a home visit for Luna Whingebag. They were amazingly kind, efficient, thorough and competent. I am considerably less anxious than I was prior to the appointment, and would like to thank them both. An update as Luna is now over 18, and needed further treatment. Sarla and her team, including the nurses and administration staff, have been so lovely. Luna had surgery at her advanced age a couple of weeks ago. She came through it incredibly well, and Sarla's follow ups have been reassuring. Thank you all for your excellent care of The Whingebag, and your understanding.

Fantastic experience: My dog coco is a rescue dog when we got him very scared taken 2 years to settle frightened of the vets but lot better now due to the care and hugs lovely caring vets has to be sedated for grooming would never use another vet thank you x

Amy updated myself with images of her progress throughout the operation. Everyone in maidstone and allington practice have been fantastic they go above and beyond in all areas. Fantastic experience: Catching our cat Betty, to get her to the vet’s is a challenge as she’s scared of her own shadow. So it’s really important that when we get her there it’s a very positive experience. Alberta is a wonderful Vet who has many years experience and her knowledge and skills make the whole visit seamless. We’ve been with the practice many years and all the team at Maidstone and Allington have always been fabulous and put the animals first.

They always inform of any treatment needed along with the cost and they talk through any procedures. I never feel obligated and given time to decide on any treatment plans. Fantastic experience: I moved recently to Maidstone with Denver and needed a quality vet for my best four legged friend. Pennard Vets came highly recommended from other dog owners I’ve met while walking. Our first visit was rather sooner than anticipated! But I had joined the pet club two weeks earlier when registering Denver. I arrived without an appointment! But was still seen half an hour later. Wonderful. The lady who checked Denver over was very thorough (Denver is a German Shepherd) and put him at ease so quickly. It was wonderful to watch. Speaking softly to him. Right in his face. Really very lovely. When we left I was at ease. Denver was sorted. Marvellous. Highly recommend this veterinary service. Great professional service from everyone we saw.

Fantastic experience: We have a really reactive dog, and following our latest visit, every member of staff put us at ease, reassured us and treated our poorly dog wonderfully. Would very much recommend, even if you are worried that’s your pet might be challenging.

Fantastic experience: I cannot praise this vets high enough. Caring, thoughtful, empathetic and that was the receptionist. Not only was she polite but was happy to join in any conversation. She went above and beyond to find some info we enquired about, in addition finding our granddaughter colouring items and stickers which were very welcomed. The vet, Venus, was a little gem. She put our cat at ease straight away. She was very careful with his injury and explained everything that she was doing. The treatment given was swift, dealt with confidence and care. Her explanation given was clear and precise. I have no doubts whatsoever about giving this vets the highest praise and offer my thanks to both ladies.

He had his operation at Seveoaks and ginormous bandage/cast removed at College Road (special mention for Amy for help getting him back in the car especially as it was pouring with rain. Thank you to Dr Stork surgeon for the absolutely neat job on his leg. Duke is doing very well and is getting his mojo back despite having to wear the "cone of shame"

Fantastic experience: We’ve been with Pennard vets since we first got our dog, they have always been brilliant. Our dog is nervous at the vets and the team are always so flexible and accommodating. Any time I have a question or concern they are only a call away.

Fantastic experience: Pennard's College Road is our usual surgery and we had an appointment for both of our dogs to get their boosters but also for a pre-op assessment for 1 of our boys to be neutered. They vet was amazing and dealt with boys on the floor as opposed to stressing them out even more by using the table..Fast forward to operation date. The Pets Apps was again gratefully received as we were.able to get regular updates as to how it was going & of course the good news that he was ready to come home. Had the follow up appointment and a short dose of antibiotics have been prescribed just to ward of any possible infections..Boy dogs have a reputation of being very interested in other parts of male dogs. Still all went well and fingers crossed we won't need the follow up to the follow up appointment booked for later this week. The staff at Pennard's are always kind, caring, considerate and genuinely interested in the best outcome for you 4 legged friend, or however many legs your pet may have?☺️ .

Our dog suffers badly with ear infections and they have always been so accommodating to us, our dog can be quite nervous in the vets due to having to go quite a few times and they really put him at ease and make him feel calm. My little cat Oreo just seemed to go off her food , on tking her to see the vet , he saw it was more than it looked. She ended up being trestedhere and she underwent blood transfusions , and non stop treatements that only proper care can only give , I'm absolutely sure that they saved my Little cat Oreo , and I will forever be thankful to them . Always..

Fantastic experience: Love this practice,Dobby has been going a couple of years now,he has a huge fear of vets and they suggested desensitisation appts when he can stroll around meet the staff,have nothing done to him except gets given love and treats,he's improving slowly,he's better than me at getting on the scales! Fantastic experience: If ever positive thought I had about the vets practise was worth a penny- everyone who works there would be a millionaire by now! Not from this area- I experienced a horrible attack on my dog from another dog. I panicked and rang round to vets and thankfully Pennard Vets told me to bring her in. From the lovely receptionist who sat with me on the floor and hugged me as I cried (I can’t remember her name I’m so sorry but she was amazing!) to the amazing Vet Joanna who cares for my little dog exactly how I’d hoped- these lovely ladies are absolute angels. Honestly I could not recommend this wonderful practise enough. Thankfully Winnie is doing better all thanks to the love and care she received here

Fantastic experience: Had another good experience this week - with a cat with a burst abscess this time. She's a bit wild at the best of times but the receptionist and then vet, Matthew, fitted her in at the last minute and he was great with her. 24 hours later and she's as right as rain again (with a big scab on her neck obviously). Negative experience: if you use this surgery beware unless you want to be called not in exact word to be called a liar when i had a witness stood right beside me. i'm now going to be seeking legal advice on this matter.

Fantastic experience: The staff at Maidstone are very professional and caring. A member of staff was happy to stay after closing time to administer a pain killers to our dog who was in distress. The vet we saw on the following day was very caring and knowledgeable. Given the possible options of treatment available I did not feel we were pressured into making a decision. I would highly recommend this vets.

Fantastic experience: I recently came to Pennards with my cat Rocky, Even though the outcome wasn't a happy one the staff at Pennards were amazing. From speaking with Karen in the morning to meeting Joanna in the afternoon. The care and compassion shown not only to Rocky but to my self was outstanding. They never left Rocky alone they communicated with me every step of the way, the passion shown in the care they give to all the animals there really shows, Joanna was absolutely amazing and it really takes some one special to do what she does. Even the after care was lovely. It was a very emotional situation but the staff there especially Joanna did all they can to make both Rocky and my self as comfortable as we could be. I cant Thank the staff there enough for support and the compassion they showed, I would highly recommend Pennards to anyone with a pet.

Fantastic experience: I was originally a bit skeptical over the level of care my hamster would receive due to health of rodents is usually considered not as important due to their lifespans. I am over the moon with the level of care that gnocchi has received at this vets. Her health is always taken very seriously and she is never overlooked. I have used previous vets for dogs and cats but I don’t think i’ll ever be able to use another vets other than pennard again. The care just goes above and beyond, I always leave feeling confident and satisfied with the care Gnocchi has received.

Fantastic experience: We recently brought our cat to the Maidstone clinic for dental surgery. The vet and nurses were absolutely fantastic. I was particularly pleased that there was a focus on pain management afterwards and we were given comprehensive instructions and advice. We've been to West Malling and Tonbridge Pennards before and cannot fault them either.

Fantastic experience: They were so kind and took very good care of my cat it was her first vaccine and getting chipped and they managed to do it so quick that It did not hurt her. I am very happy with the service and everything there. Thank you❤️

Negative experience: I took my cat to this clinic for severe constipation. Since I recently had a C-section and couldn’t go myself, my friend brought him in. The vet examined him by touch only—no X-ray, no tests—yet immediately suggested an expensive procedure (£1,600-£2,000). When I asked for an X-ray, she said she would have to cancel her next appointment, which was odd since we had booked specifically for this issue. Instead, she prescribed medication and a special dry food, insisting he should eat only dry food. The next day, another vet examined him—again, only by touch—and said he still had a blockage but could continue medication. However, this vet insisted he should eat only wet food, completely contradicting the first vet. How can two vets from the same clinic give opposite advice? also had to pay twice for check-ups—first for the initial visit and medication, and then again the very next day for another check-up they requested. So far, I’ve paid £280 with no results, just conflicting advice. Additionally, I paid for the dry food the first vet recommended, but when it turned out to be the wrong choice, I was told I could get a refund. However, the refund process was unclear and inconvenient. They also failed to give my partner proper change when he paid in cash, promising a refund to an unspecified card—which we never received. Another issue: Just weeks earlier, my cat had a health check for his annual vaccine, where yet another vet told me he was perfectly healthy. Now, suddenly, they claim he has severe dental issues that could require full tooth extractions in two years. Why wasn’t this mentioned before? With contradictory medical advice, lack of proper diagnostics, repeated payments, and poor financial transparency, I no longer trust this clinic with my pet’s health. More than anything, I just want my cat to get better, but this experience has left me with serious doubts.

Fantastic experience: I took my pug to the vet yesterday because she hurt her back, the vet was so helpful and reassuring, I honestly thought I would have to have my fur baby put to sleep. I was so relieved to hear that she just needed lots of rest and painkillers and the vet’s are going to check her back again on Saturday. Thank you so much.

Fantastic experience: I have a very anxious sound sensitive dog. After asking about medication for my dog Jo one of the vets recommended referring him to their physiotherapist Carron as this type of sensitivity can be linked to possible pain issues. Carron has been treating Ozzy weekly, visiting him at home as he finds going into the practice too stressful. She has worked wonders with him, diagnosing spinal issues. She recommended equipment and treatment I can use myself at home. She has been able to develop a relationship with him and he has become confident enough with her to allow me to leave him alone with her while she treats him. He has shown huge improvement in a short time. I highly recommend Carron and all the staff at Pennards for their ongoing treatment and support of not only my dog but myself. Lovely to have a practice that treats animals holistically and thoroughly. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Allington, Maidstone and Sevenoaks all worked amazingly to look after our very sick 2 year old large dog who had a foreign object obstructing his intestine, from giving correct advice, operating correctly and providing overnight monitoring. He is home with us now recovering quickly and we can’t thank them enough. We used the pet app to keep updated throughout the day, fabulous caring team x

Fantastic experience: Really impressed, despite the fact we arrived at the wrong adress as we had an appointment at Pennard on Longley Road, we went at Pennard Vet on College Avenue) the lady in reception was very welcoming and helpful and they kindly accepted to see us and do the vaccine and microchip for our fur baby. Fantastic experience: I would like to say a big thank you to Alberto and her team ....Alberto honour a mistake one one of the team had made...and most importantly I can not always afford a vet with my low income and Alberto said she would like to see my dog layla again..but knowing my financial situation she said please could I let her know how we got on with our treatment ...to me that is a VET that cares ...love that !!!! ❤️
